5 Star Rating Clean and very comfortable bedding with ample amount of pillows. Quiet rooms to little or no street or city noise. Some rooms come with only a shower or you can opt for a deep soaking tub and shower combo. Very attentive and service minded staff. You can exchange foreign currency for GBP at the reception desk. The TV has a feature to cast/dispaly your android device, laptop, apple device or iPhone to the screen. This allows you to watch your streaming services on the TV during stay. For Apple devices you will need to download an app to allow casting to the TV. I recommend using the Screen Mirroring app from the App Store. The TV dos also have USB drives to connect your device too. Wi-Fi was also included at no additional cost, and was very fast and dependable. The hotel also has a spa and spa services available. I would recommend booking your spa appointment for services before you arrive to ensure your desired time is open. Same day or last minute appointments are perfectly accepted, however, the spa services can fill quickly.

5 Star Rating It’s easy to talk about how beautiful this hotel is, the amazing food and bar options, and the ideal location. However, traveling with young kids, the real standout to us was how family friendly the Rosewood London is/was. For instance, upon arrival there was a scavenger hunt in the room for the children, where they found a stuffed animal (bulldog) that the hotel gifted them. The staff was very accommodating with us navigating the hallways with a stroller and getting in/out of taxis easily. We look forward to our next stay here!

5 Star Rating Had the Art of Afternoon Tea today. The service was welcoming yet unobtrusive. We spent almost 4 hours there but didn’t feel rushed. The food was delicious. The scones were warm and perfectly tender. The sandwiches were creative combinations of textures and flavours. The desserts were works of art. It was a real treat and a wonderful way to spend the afternoon.

5 Star Rating I can't recommend Rosewood enough! I spent 7 nights here and experienced the Holborn Dining Room, pie masterclass, Mirror Room Afternoon Tea, and Scarfes Bar...each one 10/10. The staff made me feel so welcome and even celebrated me on my birthday with surprise balloons and a couple of special gifts. Rosewood offers a very warm unpretentious 5 star experience. I cannot wait to return!

5 Star Rating After being cancelled last minute by another London Hotel for afternoon tea for Mother’s Day because of my daughter’s allergies the Rosewood really stepped up to the mark. The tea room was beautiful, the staff were fantastic they could not do enough for us and the Chef out did himself for making sure everything was safe for both my daughter’s dietary requirements. Our waitress double and tripled checked on everything. I cannot thank you enough a truly special tea and I would highly recommend.

4 Star Rating Overall a good experience. Unfortunately, our first lane wasn’t working properly, as sometimes not all the pins were rearranged. However, the team made sure in trying to fix it and we ended up at another lane where everything worked properly. Drinks are super tasty and the bowling experience overall is decent.

5 Star Rating Came here with a bunch of friends thinking we'd just grab “a quick drink”… famous last words. The staff was so friendly and the drinks so good, we basically moved in for the night. Great music, great vibe, and dangerously tasty cocktails — 10/10 would accidentally spend the whole evening here again.

5 Star Rating This location offers a bowling alley, a bar/ lounge area and a section for quick bites and eating. It's a really nice place. The staff were polite, the cocktail I had was really nice as well as the chicken wings. The price was fair and value foe money. We had to wait for about 20 mins for a free bowling area but it wasn't crowded. The bowling screens and area functioned properly. It's a nice place for a date night, quick bites with friends and generally great for group hangouts. The music choices over the speakers were great as well. I rate them solid.

5 Star Rating Nice hotel that’s kept its charm like most thistle hotels have. Comfortable rooms with the usual amenities that cater well for an overnight stay in London with a perfect central location. Breakfast had a good selection of foods from hot full English to continental style and our server Oscar was very attentive and welcoming on our arrival, showing us where everything was and checking in on how our breakfast and stay was. Thank you to thistle and the team, would recommend!

4 Star Rating The location od this hotel in the West end near the theatre's was perfect for me. Just a shirt walk to multiple theatre's. Down fall is there is no loading zone in front of the building as it is a bus lane. There is a street close by where you can be picked up or dropped off. Rooms are what I expect for hotel of this type of building. Rooms are small but adequate. Could use a little TLC but over all very nice. Staff were very nice and helpful. The morning breakfast buffet was very good. If you don't wish to partake in food at the hotel there are many options to choose from close by.

5 Star Rating We had a wonderful stay at Thistle Holborn! From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. Idris at the front desk was outstanding—super friendly and welcoming. He even upgraded our room for both nights, which was such a pleasant surprise! On our last day, our flight was in the evening, and the hotel graciously allowed us to leave our bags, along with our family’s (who weren’t staying there), until we finished exploring. This thoughtful gesture saved us so much time and hassle from having to find storage lockers. Everything about our stay was fantastic—from the comfortable rooms to the excellent hospitality. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting London!

4 Star Rating I had a great stay at the Thistle Hotel in Holborn! The location is fantastic—right in the heart of London, making it easy to explore the city. The staff were friendly and accommodating, always ready to help with any requests. The room was okay for the price. The decor felt a little dated, but everything was well-maintained. The only downside was that the soundproofing could be better, as I could hear some noise from the hallway at night. However, it wasn’t a huge issue. Overall, a solid choice for a central London stay—great value for the price! Would definitely consider staying here again.

5 Star Rating Wow, what can I say... defo nothing bad about this great old pub/restaurant, it's food or the staff. After a successful day at a TV production show in Olympia we decided to dine at the Princess Louise in Holborn. This brilliant venue never fails to deliver, even if it's just for a pint BUT don't just drink, go upstairs to the restaurant, bag a seat by a window and watch the world bustle by while you wait for your fab food. Lakeisha, Chloe and Lily looked after us so well, considerately and professionally; nothing was too much effort. They were constantly looking after other diners too and, later, drinkers in the downstairs bars. I really like this venue for it's charm, food, service, atmosphere and real ale... and if you're there when the window boxes are in bloom and lit by the sun, well, it's difficult to get up and leave. Thank you ladies, just fantastic. You looked after us how it's meant to be done, you're true ambassadors for the hospitality industry and I'm thrilled to have met you all. Will be back ASAP!!

3 Star Rating one of my favourite pubs, the 1st time I have visited in a while. I ordered the Pure Lager, a beer I'm fond of, and was staggered when I was charged £8.20. Sam Smith pubs usually pride themselves on being value for money. I'm not surprised there was no visible indication of draught beer prices. At least Dick Turpin wore a mask!

5 Star Rating I went on Saturday for dinner and it wasn't too busy. They have two floors and one bar. The service was attentive and fast. I ordered a bottle of pinot noir for £45 and the steak platter to share: fillet, steak, both cooked medium-rare, prawns and onion rings for £69, with the additional chimichuri sauce. For dessert, sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream. The food arrived fairly quickly and it was cooked perfectly and soo tasty. I must return to try the rest! I recommend it!

3 Star Rating Food: We ordered the surf and turf platter for two and my friend got a beer which he seemed to be happy with. The steak themselves were pretty good but not excellent, I feel like it was missing something. The peppercorn and bernnaise sauces were both OK as well. I quite liked the prawns that came with it as the wine and garlic sauce added a bit of depth and complexity to them. That being said, I think their food is done well, but is missing something which could make it excellent. I also do wish they had a mock tail selection though. Service: Solid if unspectacular, I think that the fact that we were told immediately that we could flag people down to ask them stuff whether we wanted more of something or whatever we needed was helpful. It did take us a bit long to get our bill but that's a very small thing as they seemed busy wirh service. Atmosphere: The fact that there's little music and the place looks quaint and well decorated. We felt comfortable sitting there and the vibes were nice as well. I'd say this is a solid if unspectacular steak place.

3 Star Rating I had two steaks (sirloin, rump) and both of them were acceptable but honestly buying a good £15 steak with good marbling at M&S and cooking at home would be better. I asked for medium rare but it was overly cooked, and I found nothing special while eating. I was unlucky to sit on a stool chair which was also a bad experience. No one wants to sit on a stool, especially when they reserved a spot. The interior however was a cozy vibe, so gathering here for a pint and some nibbles would be ok. It’s a good place to catch up and talk with your friends.

5 Star Rating The fish & chips were some of the best I’ve had—crispy batter, perfectly cooked fish, and delicious fries on the side. They also have a fantastic selection of beers on tap and with something for every taste. The atmosphere is cozy and full of character, with that classic British pub charm. What really stood out, though, was the staff—friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. It’s a great place to relax, grab a pint, and enjoy a proper meal. 5 Star Rating My wife and I recently visited The Ships Tavern with hopes of enjoying a classic fish and chips dinner—and wow, did it exceed our expectations! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfectly setting the tone for a great dining experience. The fish and chips were absolutely fantastic—crispy batter, fresh fish, and perfectly cooked chips that left us thoroughly impressed. The portion size for the fish was huge, making it incredible value for money. For dessert, we opted for the baked hot apple pie, and it was absolutely outstanding. The rich, warm filling paired with the perfectly flaky crust was pure comfort food bliss. It was the perfect sweet finish to an already amazing meal. The highlight of our visit, however, was the exceptional service. The waitstaff were attentive and friendly throughout the evening. A special mention goes to one young staff member who went above and beyond to ensure my wife and I were well looked after. Her professionalism, warmth, and genuine care for our experience made all the difference. We would highly recommend The Ships Tavern for anyone looking for quality food, generous portions, and outstanding service. We’ll definitely be back!

3 Star Rating So we got the Dutch poffertjes which were a 6/10 and the gluten free pancake was a 2/10 (it was raw and it’s a crepe not a pancake?) . I thought it was quite a popular place they should at least have smaller cuter packaging that people can eat on the go as we’re walking in central London, we were given the food in gigantic industrial silver trays. Asides that the strawberries were humongous and should have been cut smaller. Prices are good and service is excellent just few things need improving on. Chocolate isn’t even poured on top of food just put in a pot and solidifies quickly.

2 Star Rating The salad choice is great and reasonably priced. The warm buffet is a bit hit an miss - be careful with anything that contains minced meat. I had meatballs recently (not for the first time) and they were lamb. They weren't declared as lamb meatballs. I also had a 'beef pastry bake' and could taste lamb. I suspect they were a mix of beef and lamb. I can't stand lamb, so both times my money was wasted. It's just not on to not declare the type of meat correctly.
