Stayed here for 3 nights. Great room and great service. Loved the exquisite bathroom in particular. Also, the property itself is simply stunning. The main restaurant makes a great meat pie, and the bar makes fantastic drinks. We also had a lovely breakfast every morning in the Mirror Room.

I recently had the pleasure of staying Rosewoods and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment I arrived, the staff greeted me with warm smiles and exceptional service. The check-in process was quick and hassle-free.
The room itself was spacious, beautifully decorated, and equipped with all the modern amenities. I particularly loved the breathtaking ocean view from my balcony, perfect for enjoying morning coffee or an evening sunset.
The resort offers a variety of activities, from relaxing by the pool to exploring their private beach. The spa services were top-notch, providing a great way to unwind after a day of adventures. The on-site dining was also fantastic, with a diverse menu that catered to various tastes.
What truly stood out was the attention to detail from the staff. They went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable, providing local recommendations and always checking in to make sure everything was perfect.
Overall, my stay at Rosewood was incredible, and I can't wait to return. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a better pave

I didn’t stay here but used the conference facilities. The property is old world London luxury. Tucked away off the Main Street with a little courtyard. Attentive staff and concierge on hand to direct you and swiftly respond to your any need! We had lunch which was an array of really nice tasting sandwiches and pastries to die for. Not the usual dry business lunches at all! Most of all the property is an opulent gem of a building that’s well looked after which any architectural connoisseur would appreciate. The scarfes bar next door is pretty upmarket and posh to finish off the day in style with some fabulous cocktails or a tipple by the fire!

A Truly Exceptional Stay at Rosewood London
From the moment we arrived, Rosewood London exceeded all expectations. The service was warm, attentive, and seamless throughout our stay. Every member of staff we encountered made us feel genuinely welcome and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort.
The hotel itself is stunning — a perfect blend of classic elegance and modern luxury. Our room was spacious, beautifully appointed, and impeccably clean, with thoughtful touches that made a real difference, from the plush bedding to the marble bathroom.
Dining at the Holborn Dining Room was a highlight, with outstanding food and a fantastic atmosphere. We also loved the Mirror Room for afternoon tea — truly one of the best in London.
The location is ideal for exploring the city, just steps from Covent Garden and the West End, yet peaceful and quiet when you return to unwind.
We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. A flawless experience from start to finish — highly recommended for anyone seeking refined luxury in the heart of London.

I had an absolutely fantastic stay at this hotel and couldn’t recommend it more highly. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and went out of their way to make us feel at home.
The room was spotless, beautifully furnished, and surprisingly spacious. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the shower had great water pressure, and there were thoughtful touches throughout — from complimentary bottled water to quality toiletries and soft towels.
The amenities exceeded expectations — a well-equipped fitness centre, free high-speed Wi-Fi, and a cozy lounge area that made it easy to relax after a day out. The hotel’s attention to detail really showed.
Breakfast was a highlight each morning — a wide variety of hot and cold options, fresh fruit, pastries, and excellent coffee. Everything was fresh, well-presented, and regularly replenished.
Above all, the hospitality stood out. Every staff member, from reception to housekeeping, was friendly, professional, and genuinely cared about our comfort. They offered great local recommendations and were always happy to help.
Overall, this hotel combines comfort, cleanliness, and outstanding service. It felt like a home away from home — I will definitely be returning on my next visit!

We had the best time. We went for the Lodge area, where there are only 2 lanes and is almost empty. We had also a private karaoke session and it was so much fun! I had never tried it before and I cant recommend enough!

Nice place to have a drink and play. We went for bowling but the machine didn't work properly and we had lost pins at every round.

A small bowling alley (only 6 lanes) and really quite cramped. Was expecting a bit more for £18 each for 1 game / 30 mins.
But it was nice enough and a good atmosphere.
We had a few drinks but didn't eat. Lots of tables for eating.

Went in on a quiet Tuesday night. They offer a good collection of cocktails (a bit overpriced). The music and the vibe of the place in general was really nice and welcoming. The staff were very friendly. Would definitely recommend.

This location offers a bowling alley, a bar/ lounge area and a section for quick bites and eating. It's a really nice place. The staff were polite, the cocktail I had was really nice as well as the chicken wings. The price was fair and value foe money.
We had to wait for about 20 mins for a free bowling area but it wasn't crowded. The bowling screens and area functioned properly.
It's a nice place for a date night, quick bites with friends and generally great for group hangouts.
The music choices over the speakers were great as well.
I rate them solid.

The only reason I am giving this hotel a 3 stars is because of the Air Conditioner, which was very noisy and disturbing all day and all night. It really affected my sleep. Other than that, this was a really simple and conveniently located hotel, right in the heart of Holborn and just a mere 2-ish blocks away from the British Museum. It is also central to many many bus stops and a short walk from the nearest tube-station. Besides that, there are TONS of restaurants, cafes, stores, etc., all walking distance from the hotel.
Our room was a maze to get to, which I didn't mind. It gave me a haunted vibe, which I enjoyed. (especially the corridors). The beds were mid - not the most comfortable, but they did the job. Breakfast was included and they also have a bar and restaurant on site. All in all, a great experience. Would stay again (but would make sure the AC isn't noisy, or else bring my ear plugs). Service was top notch.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Thistle Holborn, and from start to finish, it was an absolutely delightful experience. The hotel itself is charming, clean, and perfectly located, making it easy to explore central London. But what truly made my stay special was the exceptional service – especially from Marcel, who was nothing short of wonderful.
From the moment I arrived, Marcel made me feel incredibly welcome. He was warm, professional, and genuinely attentive, going above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed. Whether it was helping with directions, offering local recommendations, or simply greeting me with a friendly smile, his kindness left a lasting impression.
The room was spotless, comfortable, and well-appointed with everything I could ask for – a peaceful retreat after a busy day in the city. Breakfast was also excellent, with a great selection and thoughtful service.
Thank you to the entire team at Thistle Holborn, and especially to Marcel, for making my stay so memorable. I’ll definitely be back – and I’ll be recommending this hotel to friends and family without hesitation.

Stayed here for a night in the single room, bed was comfy and the shower was hot and powerful, although I couldn't work out how to use the handheld shower so just had the rainfall type. Breakfast was rubbish, and the coffee machine only gave me half a cup. They have luggage storage here and there is a bar, they left a bottle of sparkling water and a bottle of still. Also the room also had an iron and ironing board in the cupboard. Also very quiet for being in central London.

Was pleasantly surprised. Really nice staff. Clean and very efficient. Great location. A lot of dark brown carpet and would really benefit from a paint job but can't fault it.

Nice hotel that’s kept its charm like most thistle hotels have. Comfortable rooms with the usual amenities that cater well for an overnight stay in London with a perfect central location.
Breakfast had a good selection of foods from hot full English to continental style and our server Oscar was very attentive and welcoming on our arrival, showing us where everything was and checking in on how our breakfast and stay was.
Thank you to thistle and the team, would recommend!

Princess Louise is definitely one of the most impressive pubs I’ve been to. The Victorian interior is fantastic. It’s like stepping back in time. Good food, nice friendly service, clean, perfect place to hang out with friends. I love their cider.

Lovely find with a genuine old world charm. Friendly staff. Nice open and spacious dining area on the first floor. The food overall is very good with the fish and chips of high quality. Well worth a visit if you are in this part of town.

Wow, this place is gorgeous! The Victorian tiles and vibe are unreal for a pub from 1872. The horseshoe layout was a bit weird at first, but the beer was great, and I had a blast. Totally recommend!

Cozy Gastropub with Great Food and Atmosphere
We visited a charming gastropub that offers a warm, inviting atmosphere and a well-curated menu. The drink selection was impressive, with a variety of wines, beers, and spirits to choose from.
To start, we had the Tomato, Basil, and Mozzarella Salad (v)—fresh and flavorful, beautifully finished with a balsamic glaze and extra virgin olive oil. For the main course, the Ribeye steak (11oz/310g) was cooked to perfection and served with crispy chips. We paired the meal with a bottle of red wine, which complemented the dishes nicely.
Service was friendly and efficient, and the overall experience was enjoyable. A solid choice for a relaxed meal with quality food and drinks.

I went on Saturday for dinner and it wasn't too busy. They have two floors and one bar. The service was attentive and fast. I ordered a bottle of pinot noir for £45 and the steak platter to share: fillet, steak, both cooked medium-rare, prawns and onion rings for £69, with the additional chimichuri sauce. For dessert, sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream. The food arrived fairly quickly and it was cooked perfectly and soo tasty. I must return to try the rest! I recommend it!

Difficult to find much to fault at this place. Good food and wine, nice atmosphere and the staff were just about spot on. They did clear the table while one fella was still eating which is a personal annoyance, they also took unfinished bread starter away rather than leave it. However, fillet steak was Triffic - go medium though.

Food: We ordered the surf and turf platter for two and my friend got a beer which he seemed to be happy with. The steak themselves were pretty good but not excellent, I feel like it was missing something. The peppercorn and bernnaise sauces were both OK as well. I quite liked the prawns that came with it as the wine and garlic sauce added a bit of depth and complexity to them. That being said, I think their food is done well, but is missing something which could make it excellent. I also do wish they had a mock tail selection though.
Service: Solid if unspectacular, I think that the fact that we were told immediately that we could flag people down to ask them stuff whether we wanted more of something or whatever we needed was helpful. It did take us a bit long to get our bill but that's a very small thing as they seemed busy wirh service.
Atmosphere: The fact that there's little music and the place looks quaint and well decorated. We felt comfortable sitting there and the vibes were nice as well.
I'd say this is a solid if unspectacular steak place.

The Ship Tavern in Holborn is a hidden historic gem dating back to 1549, tucked away down a narrow alley behind Holborn station. This atmospheric pub combines centuries-old charm with warm, welcoming service. Inside, you’ll find dark wood interiors, vintage candelabras, stained glass, and a cozy upstairs dining room. The menu features hearty British classics like steak and ale pie, fish and chips, and a legendary Sunday roast. Their selection of real ales, fine wines, and whiskies is equally impressive, making it a great spot for both casual drinks and a more intimate dining experience in central London

This review is long overdue, but my husband and I popped in one winter Sunday for a last-minute roast—no reservation, just hungry hopes. The staff went out of their way to rearrange reserved tables and kindly made room for us. From the moment we sat down, the service was exceptional and the atmosphere couldn’t have been more inviting—warm, cheerful, and full of charm. And the food? Absolutely unforgettable. We had the beef Wellington with all the trimmings, and I can honestly say it ranks in the top five meals of my life. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re across the pond!

The fish & chips were some of the best I’ve had—crispy batter, perfectly cooked fish, and delicious fries on the side. They also have a fantastic selection of beers on tap and with something for every taste. The atmosphere is cozy and full of character, with that classic British pub charm. What really stood out, though, was the staff—friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. It’s a great place to relax, grab a pint, and enjoy a proper meal. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Fabulous traditional old boozer downstairs and a lovely “old school” dining area upstairs. The food was beautifully cooked and well presented. The menu choice was a cut above traditional pub food and very tempting. Service from Frederika was super friendly, helpful and professional.
Will eat there again

It does have Old Peculiar on draft which is a good reason to visit in the first place…even though the pub is small it’s accommodating and has a really welcoming feel, went multiple times and enjoyed it each time. (Difficult to photograph as show how good it is)

A very large, modern pub with outdoor seating and a function room downstairs. Some TV screens available (to watch the rugby, on this occasion) but they don’t dominate the pub.
A large range of craft beers and very friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.

There’s multiple gluten free options. The waiter was so nice, the service was beautiful and rapid, no wonder this restaurant is so crowded! I enjoyed my time here, I struggle finding gluten free options so when I ran upon this restaurant it was like heaven to my eyes. The food was delicious I have no words for how amazing it was. I 100% recommend this place.

My Old Dutch is a great spot for a delicious meal in a fantastic location. The menu is reasonably priced, especially considering its prime position. The service was good—the staff was pleasant and attentive without being overly so. The real standout, however, was the smoked duck savoury pancake, which was absolutely delicious and a definite must-try.

We loved the atmosphere and the adventurous menu. Some of us loved what we got and some of us strongly disliked what we ate. The kids thought the chicken and waffles were top-tier!

Great, fun flavored pancakes! We opted for the sweeter, butterscotch pancakes. The service was great, and the restaurant itself was cute. We went on a Tuesday morning with no reservation. There was pop music that would randomly blast from the speaker behind us, then it would go quiet. Overall it was a great experience! Pictured: the strawberry and Nutella, and the Biscoff special!
Sarah Weber - 3 weeks ago
Kind of pricey, but since it is the OG pancake spot in London we’ll accept it nevertheless!! The portions are huge, and the pancakes delicious!! You cannot wrong since you can customise them however you like. We recommend the classic Biscoff one, with strawberries, banana, and ice cream, or to add chocolate chips if you want to choose your topping!

The salad choice is great and reasonably priced. The warm buffet is a bit hit an miss - be careful with anything that contains minced meat. I had meatballs recently (not for the first time) and they were lamb. They weren't declared as lamb meatballs. I also had a 'beef pastry bake' and could taste lamb. I suspect they were a mix of beef and lamb. I can't stand lamb, so both times my money was wasted. It's just not on to not declare the type of meat correctly.

Staff are helpful and friendly, always served promptly!

I would give it 6 stars if I could.
The food is so good that there is a danger you might bite your fingers, I suggest you try the lasagne and other hot food for lunch. The prices are more than reasonable, in fact far cheaper than other local options. Box of hot food under a mere £6. Fresh orange juice for under £2.
Staff are very friendly and informative making it a welcoming place. I come for coffee and lunch Monday to Friday without fail and even during lunch the queue moves on efficiently like a Japanese train.

I was in the area for a few days for training and went here every day! A wide range of amazing tasting food. Coffee's are relatively cheap compared to other places and taste exactly the same (coming from an old barista). Hot food at lunch varies every day aswell as the salad bar.
Would definitely recommend purely due to fresh and great tasting food aswell as the good pricing.
