I flew in from the US for a movie premiere and I knew this was the hotel I needed to stay at for sure! My expectations were exceeded staying here for the week. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind, they made me feel right at home! Food was great (ordered room service more than I can count). The restaurant downstairs was great for breakfast. The hotel is immaculate and very picturesque. Location is fantastic, walking distance from of restaurants, coffee shops and stores. You can't go wrong staying at the Rosewood!

My stay at the Rosewood London was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely eager to help with anything I needed.
The rooms were spacious, beautifully designed, and felt both modern and luxurious—every detail was thoughtfully curated. The entire property is absolutely stunning, with elegant architecture and truly high-class amenities that elevate the experience.
This is a place that delivers on every level—service, comfort, and style. I would highly recommend it and cannot wait to return.

You will never find better service than at this hotel! I have worked in hospitality now for 21 years, and I have never experienced such an exceptional team! Sometimes when you are in hospitality, you expect a certain level of service, and can be easily disappointed when it doesn't meet your expectations ( a blessing and a curse!). However, every single person at the hotel made us feel valued and gave us a unique, personalized, tailored experience that went above and beyond my expectations.
From Huyen Davis (Sales) to Emmanuele (Hotel Manager), to the lively, warm and funny Scottish waiter in Scarfs Bar (sorry I didnt catch his name, but he is half Irish from Dingle if that helps ) was exceptional, the hotel is very lucky to have him and his wonderful personality. We had great fun chatting with him!
Lori at the front desk gave us the warmest and most welcoming arrival experience and Nikol for the departure was so pleasant.
Issai at Concierge really did us a solid and reserved us for cocktails in Gordan Ramsey's new Bishop Gate ( with window seats, thank you! ) when it was all booked out online - what an experience!
Emmanuele was the most pleasant, welcoming hotel manager I have ever met. He gave me a wonderful site tour of the hotel and space. He takes pride in his career, and it really does show. I wish I could remember everyone's name, but from the bell staff to the breakfast and dinner waiters, everyone was incredible.Thank you!
This hotel understands what it means to give 5 Star Service and all take pride in their jobs which show. They understand guests reason for their trip and what anticipates what needs will be to be able to tailor a unique experience for each individual. Hands down one of the BEST hotels I have ever stayed at!

The dinner was exceptional and the overall experience truly unforgettable, scarf bar was incredible good .

Pretty good bowling alley. Not the best beer selection in my opinion but enough for all tastes to be catered for. Just maybe not the brands you like. They do food as well, was not bad for that type of place. We had a great time so would recommend the place.
Alexander Kemp - 8 months ago
This is a small, intimate bowling alley with just six lanes, which gives it a cozy rather than grand feel. The layout is noticeably cramped, and at £18 per person for one game (roughly 30 minutes), expectations were understandably higher. That said, the atmosphere is lively and enjoyable, staff keep things running smoothly, and it works well for a casual, low-key session with friends. Plenty of tables are available if you plan to eat, and the bar offers a decent selection of drinks. Good fun in a quirky, small-scale setting, but the price-to-space ratio feels steep. Worth it if you value the intimate vibe and don’t mind the squeeze; otherwise, manage expectations or look for larger venues nearby.

We had the best time. We went for the Lodge area, where there are only 2 lanes and is almost empty. We had also a private karaoke session and it was so much fun! I had never tried it before and I cant recommend enough!

Went to All star Lanes Holborn with my colleagues and had a really good time. Though drinks were not up-to my liking but still a good place to spend time with friends and family

This location offers a bowling alley, a bar/ lounge area and a section for quick bites and eating. It's a really nice place. The staff were polite, the cocktail I had was really nice as well as the chicken wings. The price was fair and value foe money.
We had to wait for about 20 mins for a free bowling area but it wasn't crowded. The bowling screens and area functioned properly.
It's a nice place for a date night, quick bites with friends and generally great for group hangouts.
The music choices over the speakers were great as well.
I rate them solid.

Good little place, single rooms for business users, room service is great (I foegot my toothbrush and they had some). However, sods law says you get the rooms looking into the industrial/kitchen courtyard - not a good look! Definitely has air-con - was lovely to get out of the 37 degree heat in to a 19 degree room!

We had afternoon tea here after finding a deal on groupon. For the price, it was amazing. It came out to less than 20 pounds per person. Tea menu was short but very nice, with coffee offered as well. The food was fresh and had nice variety. I really loved the scones with clotted cream, and we had been served a plain scone and one with raisins baked inside as well. The sandwiches were quite nice. I am not a sweet tooth so there were a bit too many sweets for my liking, but otherwise we really loved the variety and I would rather have too much than too little.

The hotel have a clean and welcoming entrence and a lobby bar and restaurant with lift to the rooms.
I can really recommend this hotel just in the end of New Oxfordstreet. We stayed in a junior svit that was surprisingly big, and the room was really nice and clean as well as the bathroom. It was well organized with security safe, a bigger minibar fridge, the/water/coffe (Nespresso machine) and comfortable beds, pillows, quilta and beddings.
The staff was super friendly and helpfull with anything we wanted.
There’s noice from the road outside but it Will call down later at night and it dosn’t disturbe in the morning.

We had a wonderful stay! The location was perfect — close to all amenities and public transport. Our room was very comfortable and well equipped, with a coffee maker and ironing facilities. We were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded due to the ongoing refurbishments, and the customer service was excellent — the team was attentive and quickly responded to all my requests. The room was also quiet and peaceful, making our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

What a unique spot! Stopped here on our short stay in London as it was close to our hotel. The Victorian decor is fascinating, and the “stalls” that are partitioned off along the bar are so cool. We enjoyed the wheat beer and organic cider. Felt like I was transported back in time!

One of my favourite pubs. It just has this really special old world pub vibe. All the woodwork, tiling, the little glass partitions and the tiny cosy nooks make it feel like you are stepping back in time. It is a bit of a maze in the best way. The atmosphere is always spot on and the beer is reliably good as you would expect from a Sam Smith pub (I always go for the organic lager). Just a brilliant place.

Hiding from the rain and grabbed a nice pint of Samuel Smith’s Extra Stout. On my list of historic London pubs. Great location.

The interior of this pub is absolutely gorgeous. Good beer and decent wine as well. We didn't eat here but from what I could see, the food look fine. The staff seemed a bit confused while serving, though. Definitely worth a visit for the location itself.

Very traditional high class pub with booths at the bar. Carved wood and chased glass abound. Fish & Chips was excellent, however, they had no vinegar with it!

Had such a lovely time at The Bountiful Cow. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the food is absolutely delicious.
A big thank you to Stella and Alex for their kind, attentive service, they made us feel so well looked after.
It was also a real pleasure to meet Cveta, the owner and chef, who is truly lovely.
Looking forward to coming back again soon.

Had a great experience at The Bountiful Cow. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger and chips and everything was delicious. The burger was perfectly cooked, full of flavour, and the chips were spot on too. The service was amazing from start to finish and the whole venue has a great atmosphere. You can tell they really care about quality and customer experience. Highly recommend if you’re looking for great food and a welcoming place to eat in London.

Ambience :
The moment we stepped into the place, it felt cosy and inviting. It’s kind of separated into an upstairs bar/pub and more of a restaurant downstairs. You can see the cooks making food. Most importantly the seating plan is comfortable and not squished together. The music, lighting and overall feel of the place is mysterious and mellow.
Food:
We were served by Alex. He was very professional, organised and friendly. Amazing culinary knowledge and positive attitude towards his work ethic. We had steaks. While the sirloin was more peppery, the ribeye was more tender. Good quality and very filling :)

Great place to eat. They are famous for the beef burgers which are huge. Its a modern place with the restaurant down stairs. We ate early a table of 8 and the food came quickly. After having the prawn starter followed by the beef burger there was no room for desert. We place was clean and well kept and our server was amazing. I would recommend.

What a delightful afternoon Sunday Roast. While you may have to explore a bit to find it, this historic tavern is not to be missed. The dinner upstairs in the Oak Room was delicious and the staff were amazing. Even with the large crowd, we were pampered and well taken care of. They were all friendly and helpful with our first British Sunday Roast experience. Explaining the meal and suggesting a wonderful ale to accompany it. They even celebrated our 25th anniversary with us. We will definitely mark this as a not to be missed experience in London.

A hidden gem. A historic treasure tucked away right behind Holborn station!
The atmosphere, the service, the food, the history are absolutely amazing. The padron peppers were heavenly. The bread was hot and fresh, and the fish'n'chips were gigantic and, quite simply, flawless. Being here made me feel like a fairytale hero. 10/10 will come again!

We enjoyed a very delicious Sunday Roast at the Ship Tavern. We dined in the upstairs Oak Dining Room, which has a very traditional atmosphere. We shared a Butchers Board which came with the roast lamb, beef and pork. All of the meats were so delicious and full of flavour. The staff also brought out some sauces to go with each of the meats which complimented them perfectly. I found the Butcher's Board to be very filling, with a generous serve of the meats and lots of trimmings. If I had to pick a favourite roast it would be the beef with the horseradish sauce. Delicious! But you couldn't go wrong ordering any of the roasts really! I would definitely recommend booking as it can get quite busy! Also if you're into dark ales, you can't go past the Old Peculiar with your roast. A great place to come and enjoy a Sunday Roast in London!

Lovely meal after my graduation yesterday! Our food items were really lovely. We got the salmon plate, pork ribs, butternut squash soup, the burger, chicken pot pie, and the beef brisket. The martini and the gin-let drinks were watery, but the sloe royal drink was very nice and not too sweet. Great service and great atmosphere in the Oak Room. Very nice to dine here around Christmas, they have beautiful decorations.
Nora Fletcher - 6 months ago
A cozy and atmospheric pub tucked away in an alley off of Kingsway and High Holborn. Booked a dinner reservation for our one chance at a Sunday Roast on or visit to London and it was everything we wanted in that regard. The cozy dining room was warm and comforting and the Butchers Board was luxuriously abundant. Loaded with roast beef, lamb and pork belly with roasted potatoes, carrots, parsnips and giant Yorkshire puddings, we ate the leftovers for days afterwards. The pub downstairs was bustling with energy. The service left something to be desired, we were left without silverware and staff were difficult to access to even fill this base requirement. We were right by the kitchen but the staff’s attention always seemed to be elsewhere tainting the experience with a mild feeling of neglect. As this was likely a personal experience and the food and location are very nice, I would overall recommend the experience but would hesitate to go back myself.

Excellent experience at this pub. Came for some food which was delicious. They offer your pub classics plus extras. All served at the highest tier of quality and taste with generous portion sizes. Really nice experience with good food and friendly service. The menu is also decent with lots of options, including both savoury and sweet options. The monday madness deal for cheap pancakes was also great. Finally the chilli fries were a fantastic side. Review based on a lunchtime visit on a Monday.

We visited today and were really impressed by how beautiful the restaurant is — the space is welcoming and has a great atmosphere. The staff were also excellent: friendly, attentive, and made us feel comfortable throughout our visit.
In terms of the food, it was decent but didn’t quite live up to the setting. I ordered a stack of five pancakes, which were fine but lacked a wow factor and felt fairly average. My partner had a crepe, which was enjoyable, but similarly nothing particularly memorable.
Overall, it was a pleasant experience thanks to the lovely environment and great service, but the food itself didn’t really stand out compared to other pancake places.

First time here and it was so worth it!
We visited on a Saturday morning and found a table without waiting.
We ordered the pistachio dream pancake stack and chicken n waffle. Both arrived within 10 minutes and was served hot and fresh. Both absolutely gorgeous.
Nice staff and atmosphere.

We visited your restaurant today and were thoroughly impressed by the beautiful space you have created. The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming, and the environment made for a very pleasant setting for our meal.
I also want to specifically commend your staff. Everyone we encountered was friendly, attentive, and ensured we felt comfortable throughout our entire visit. Their excellent service truly stood out and contributed significantly to our positive experience.
Thank you again for the warm hospitality, and we wish your team continued success.

We visited My Old Dutch for brunch, and while the setting was nice, the overall experience was quite a mixed bag.
The Food
The food was strictly "okay." While the portions are generous, the quality control was lacking—one of our savoury pancakes was significantly burnt on the bottom, which really spoiled the flavor. For a place specializing in pancakes, you’d expect better consistency.
The Service & Timing
This was the most disappointing part. The service was completely inattentive. After taking our initial order, the staff disappeared. There were no check-backs, and we spent a good portion of our meal trying to catch someone's eye. We eventually had to look around and raise our voices just to get any attention.
To make matters worse, we actually had to cancel our dessert order because they took so long to bring it out. After waiting an age, we simply lost our appetite and decided to leave.
The Atmosphere
On a positive note, the atmosphere was actually quite good. It has that classic pancake house charm and a lively energy, but the poor service and long waits really dampened the mood.

The salad choice is great and reasonably priced. The warm buffet is a bit hit an miss - be careful with anything that contains minced meat. I had meatballs recently (not for the first time) and they were lamb. They weren't declared as lamb meatballs. I also had a 'beef pastry bake' and could taste lamb. I suspect they were a mix of beef and lamb. I can't stand lamb, so both times my money was wasted. It's just not on to not declare the type of meat correctly.

5 Stars all round!
On my way to work I pop in for a light breakfast; my colleagues and I without a doubt always go for lunch.. Their hot food options are of such quality and variety that you'll never get bored.
Staff are helpful and friendly, always served promptly!

I would give it 6 stars if I could.
The food is so good that there is a danger you might bite your fingers, I suggest you try the lasagne and other hot food for lunch. The prices are more than reasonable, in fact far cheaper than other local options. Box of hot food under a mere £6. Fresh orange juice for under £2.
Staff are very friendly and informative making it a welcoming place. I come for coffee and lunch Monday to Friday without fail and even during lunch the queue moves on efficiently like a Japanese train.

I was in the area for a few days for training and went here every day! A wide range of amazing tasting food. Coffee's are relatively cheap compared to other places and taste exactly the same (coming from an old barista). Hot food at lunch varies every day aswell as the salad bar.
Would definitely recommend purely due to fresh and great tasting food aswell as the good pricing.
