5 Star Rating Our recent impromptu visit to The Lanesborough was a delightful stroke of luck. With about an hour and a half to spare before an event, we decided to pop into one of my favourite spots in London for a coffee, and as always, it never disappoints. The moment we stepped in, we were greeted by the most charming Christmas decorations – a true festive treat for the eyes. But, what really made our visit stand out was the wonderful staff. They were fantastic, striking that perfect balance of being attentive without being overbearing, even amidst the bustling atmosphere. A special mention must go to how they interacted with my daughter, who, armed with our camera, became the most enthusiastic impromptu photographer. The staff’s encouragement and warmth towards her were heartwarming and added a sprinkle of extra joy to our visit. In short, The Lanesborough was the perfect choice for our unexpected break. It’s not just the elegant surroundings or the delicious coffee that makes this place special; it’s the people who bring it to life. A big thank you to everyone there for making our brief stopover so memorable. I guess it’s true what they say – sometimes the best moments are the unplanned ones!

5 Star Rating For my birthday, I went there for the Queen Charlotte afternoon tea and it was magical. The ambiance was elegant, a classic decor. The tea selection was nice and simple. The tiered serving platter was a visual treat with delicious sandwiches, warm scones, and exquisite desserts. The attention to detail was outstanding. The service was impeccable. The staffs were attentive and knowledgeable, ensuring a memorable visit.

5 Star Rating I visited here for a drink at the Library Bar - the champagne cocktails were lovely as was the addition of the table snacks. The only slight downside would be the location of our table as it was very much in the way of the waiters and waitresses. In addition the flowers were plastic which is a personal gripe of mine! I do enjoy a visit for a cocktail! Everyone is so friendly and accommodating.

5 Star Rating Amazing hotel & venue for the Queen Charlotte Festive Afternoon Tea - and the hotel looked very festive on arrival ! Service throughout excelled. Savouries and tea flavours were all excellent, cakes a little sweet for me but my partner loved all. The cocktail option alongside the dining was delicious - so we stayed a little while later to sample a couple of different cocktails in the bar area.... Would recommend the experience to anyone.

5 Star Rating My husband and I attended Lanesborough afternoon tea for our Anniversary celebration. From entering the hotel, the welcoming porters, helpful receptionist until we got seated, everyone we came across had a smile was welcoming and pleasant. The location is intimate with a lovely atrium. "Andrea" who was our host was very professional, polite and knowledgable with great recommendations. The food was delicious with a diverse selection of sandwiches, each had a unique lovely taste. The scones were warm, fresh and very light served with clotted cream and delicious preserves. Dessert selection was unique, had delicate taste and look which was very much aligned with Queen Charlotte theme. There was a live pianist which was a lovely touch. The tea selection was flavoursome, piping hot with the tea server prompt. We were pleasantly surprised by the hand written Anniversary card and a complimentary pastry. Finally at the end of our wonderful afternoon tea Andrea handed us the a packet of seeds to plant in the garden which was a kind gesture and completed the delightful experience. We had a wonderful afternoon celebrating our anniversary not just because of the high standard of the afternoon tea but also importantly the quality of the service and general positive attitude of the staff. We regularly go for Afternoon tea and the Lanesborough has really set a high standard on a par if not better then the others. A must do experience to celebrate your special day.

4 Star Rating Phenomenal Experience! The welcoming service was great, as they made accommodation though we didn't have a reservation. Victoria who was our service provided flawless service and she was very attentive to us. The drinks was delicious! We watched the bartenders make our drinks and they're chemistry and excitement was unmatched by any bartenders we witnessed. Unfortunately, the food the both the burger and rib was over cooked. The presentation was great though. Overall we had a great experience!

5 Star Rating If I could, I would give a couple of extra ⭐ for the whole team. Definitely one would go for the sales team for their kindness and help throughout the whole booking process. The guys on the floor were amazing, unfortunately I forgot our server's name but he would deserve a 🌟, too!!! Everything that we ordered was tasty and delicious, but be aware!!!! Portions are huge 😄 we can eat a lot, but we had to ask for takeaway boxes as we couldn't finish with all our food 😀 After the meal we visited the Vault - highly recommended, you can hear lots of interesting stories and facts about the place. So, we had an amazing experience, definitely will return!!! Thank you!

5 Star Rating What an experience!! I went with my Cousin, as he had an experience day. We went on a Wednesday when they have an acoustic singer. He was great. Food was amazing. Charlie our server was very friendly, excellent Customer Service all round. Then we went over to the Hard Rock Shop and was given a tour of "The Vault" with Ash. What can I say about Ash? He certainly knows his stuff and he is a massive asset to the Hard Rock Group with 25 years experience. I would HIGHLY recommend

The atmosphere was top-notch – the restaurant was impeccably clean, creating a welcoming and enjoyable environment. The service deserves a solid 5 stars; the staff was attentive and friendly throughout my visit. The highlight, undoubtedly, was the delicious food. The burgers were exceptionally tasty, and the overall variety on the menu impressed me. The desserts were a delightful finale to a great meal. 5 Star Rating I decided to take some family members there for Sunday lunch back in August. I hadn't booked as it was a decision made on impulse. The bar maid was so friendly and equally helpful in getting us a table for four. The food was excellent and the wine list, being a wine merchant, was very interesting as well as reasonably priced for top French & Italian labels with bottle age from good vintages. The whole experience was absolutely brilliant as well as relaxing in such a historical little pub of sheer class. Made even better by friendly, warm and inviting staff. Can't wait to go back again...

5 Star Rating Great-looking pub on the outside, full of charm on the inside! Plenty of little spaces to pull up a chair by oneself and take in the casks from various brewers - I was blessed with Timothy Taylor Landlord and a Wandle Bitter from Sambrooks, opting for those instead of London Pride, or keg beer from 1936 and the ubiquitous Beavertown Neck Oil. Plenty of bar food options as well, from chips to grilled haloumi to sausages. I had an excellent (and inexpensive) Scotch egg with my pints. Pleasantly quiet inside on a wet evening of pub hopping!

4 Star Rating Our overall experience at Nobu London, Old Park Lane, was a solid 4. The Black Cod with Butter Lettuce and Tacos were outstanding, showcasing the culinary brilliance of Nobu. However, the ambiance, while nostalgic, felt a bit outdated as the design remains unchanged over the years. The restaurant's popularity made it bustling and somewhat loud.

2 Star Rating I have to admit that I was and still am hugely disappointed by the quality of the food served up on my visit here. After all the hype there has been over Nobu I expected that the flavours would transport me back to Japan and my wonderful and amazing days living there experiencing food heaven across from across all the different regions and prefectures of Japan. Instead I left Nobu with much left to desire. The green tea at the end was probably the poor finishing touch to the end of my palate’s journey to Nobu. Ceremonial Matcha? I asked the staff and the response was an enthusiastic “YES!” It was too much water and not well brushed / stirred and really speechless poor. On the food spread, ordered a variety of dishes and sushi including the spicy edamame. Total spent was close to 500 pounds for four of us. Aside from the service that was excellent the food was a total letdown. Only the salads, fried rice on the stick and the spicy edamame were of good taste. The rest absolutely forgettable. The rice of the sushi was so hard, almost like it was frozen sticky rice wrapped over the tuna and salmon rolls. The black cod miso didn’t come out to resonate the miso seasoning well; and the miso soup was probably the worst I have had in any Japanese restaurant I have visited anywhere in the world. I am unsure if the experience here(which was consistent across all four of us), is because we were the last lunch booking slot at 2.30 and so the food was not prepared fresh and from the shelf or that the preparation was actually poor. The last course of desserts - ice cream mochi again a massive disappointment. It was terrible. The ice cream was really poor quality and the mochi was hard like just out of the freezer. (FYI - we didn’t eat it after the first bite). In summary I am really disappointed and will not be rushing back to Nobu anytime soon. It is a pity that they do not offer real authentic Japanese fare here and that the quality is really wanting. Perhaps the taste is adjusted to the palates of the busy traffic of visitors from the Middle East. Hard to know but if you are looking for authenticity and quality Japanese fare, definitely better options available in London for much lesser.

5 Star Rating This lovely restaurant has become our tradition to go each year on our engagement anniversary. I’ve never been to a restaurant with a better service and kinder staff. The staff made our night even more special by preparing customized dessert for our anniversary. The food is also the best, you can immediately tell the difference between the food you eat at this restaurant with elsewhere. The quality , the taste and the presentation of the dishes were absolutely amazing. Needless to mention that the view is so stunning. Although this restaurant was a bit pricy, we happily paid our bill as the service we got was extraordinary. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who prefer fine dining with the best view of the city. And we will definitely come back again and again and again.

5 Star Rating We recently had the pleasure of dining at Galvin at Windows, and I must say that it was an absolutely amazing experience. The sommelier was truly exceptional. They recommended the perfect wine pairings for each course of the Christmas set menu, enhancing the flavors and creating a harmonious combination. Speaking of the menu, I highly recommend trying the Christmas set menu. The terrine, Pollock, and comice pear were my choices, and they did not disappoint. Each dish was beautifully presented, and the flavors were nothing short of incredible. In addition to the delectable food and impeccable service, the restaurant boasts breathtaking views. 4 Star Rating 🚇 Hyde Park Corner 🍺 £7.00 Estrella ❤️ A pleasant but expensive Greene King pub. . The Rose & Crown is located on a quiet side street just off the hustle and bustle of Piccadilly. The nearest tube station is Hyde Park Corner which is a five minute walk away. . This pub is steeped in history and was apparently used by Oliver Cromwell's henchmen mid 17th century. The original name of this pub was The Greyhound with the present name adopted by 1763, this pub was rebuilt in 1889. . The pub has a striking facade with detailed stonework up the sides and around the upper windows. The decor here is traditional with lots of dark wood and brass fixtures and fittings. The seating is a mix of poser tables at the front and centre and low level seating at the rear. Around the walls are pictures of historical gentry and a couple of TV’s showing live sport. The servery is a good size so getting served is easy. Upstairs is additional seating and function room. . Now on to the beer, the line up was ok but all the cask was unavailable. I decided on a pint of Estrella, my pint was nice but cost £7!!! I was gobsmacked at this price point as I can’t see the justification. Earlier this day I visited The Goat Tavern (Greene King) which is a ten minute walk away and the same pint cost £6.50. I visited The Lord Raglan (Greene King) near St Paul’s Cathedral back in the summer and an Estrella cost £5.50! @greeneking_official this pricing is inconsistent. . The Lady who served was lovely and efficient. The atmosphere here was upbeat and there was a good crowd in. There was a large group Spanish ladies in sampling the British cuisine and a few day trippers dotted around. I managed to catch the first half of the Manchester derby along with a table of fellas in for the footy. . The @roseandcrownw1 is a pleasant pub in traditional surroundings and does a good job of looking after its punters. The beer price is ridiculous and just says “Tourist Trap”. Hopefully Greene King review its pricing here, you can’t justify selling the most expensive pint of Estrella in a pub in London. . ℹ️ Info correct on visiting 14/01/23

4 Star Rating We went for the Signature menu after reading it online. For four set courses and a half bottle of wine per person, it must be the best value for money menu in London. Every course was excellent, beginning with beef carpaccio that just melted in the mouth. The primi pasta course was exceptional with perfectly cooked, al dente pasta generously filled with a duck and porcini filling and a rich sauce. The main course of guinea fowl was superbly executed while the Amalfi lemon tart was the perfect way to end a delicious meal. Service was great to start but our original waiter seemed to disappear and we became a bit of an after thought. Everyone was nice but it seemed like they were more interested in serving schmoozing over big-tipping Americans, although I do hope I'm wrong on that one.
