I had a lovely dinner with my workmates in this beautiful French restaurant in the heart of Kew Village. The service was very attentive and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious: the tiger prawns were slightly spicy, as I like, and the venison was cooked well. I wanted to try the Crepe Suzettes to enjoy the real French spirit, but they were too “alcoholic” for me; my workmate ordered the chocolate mousse and that was very delicate and tasty. I am planning to bring my partner here someday.

Had 14 Feb lunch here, they offer set Valentine's Day menu, 33 GBP per person, without alcohol and drinks. For with that and teas and service charge (12.5) the bill was 82GBP. Ok. Interior is very nice, perfect for a romantic date. Good to have such authentic place in Kew Village. Happy with the food and service. Dessert chocolate creamaux was great, good onion soup. At 12am it was empty, people start coming around 1pm. If you have difficulty booking, try to book earlier. Also online booking system lies, try to call them.

I never usually order sea bass but I had the best one of my life here, I couldn't believe how delicate and non-fishy it tasted. We had the three course lunch menu and were absolutely stuffed, the dessert portions were way too big to finish! I would recommend just sharing one dessert.

We had a wonderful meal last night. The food was delicious. Great French bread and butter. We all had a range of dishes and all were excellent. Good service too. Nice French bistro with friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend

The food was absolutely fantastic. It has literally changed my mind about eating fresh liver, but any of the Sunday lunch options are a good pick. The 1950’s French Bistro atmosphere is charming, and the service was polite and attentive. I would absolutely recommend coming here if you’re visiting the area or the gardens nearby.

A bit of a tardis, definitely bigger on the inside than the outside suggests.
Nicely decorated with mixture of tables and chairs along with comfy looking sofas. Outside seating available too.
Lovely cake counter with plenty of choice and savoury bites too 😋
Coffee was smooth, no bitterness. Polite and efficient service from the staff. Enjoyed my visit, would return again.

A real gem of a place.
Authentic Italian pasties and coffee. The food I had was delicious and I had a mocha which was very good.
You can tell that everything is done to the very highest standard.
Plenty of seating and a garden add to the lovely atmosphere.

Last weekend I visited a cafe located on Station Approach near Kew Gardens, which is about a 10 mins walk from the Underground Station.
The cafe offers outdoor seating with plenty of space and has a lovely, cozy atmosphere. Inside, the decor features warm colors, wooden accents, and charming plants that create a welcoming vibe. The walls are adorned with interesting artwork, adding to the overall charm.
The staff were very friendly and always smiling. I ordered the Tiramisu and Mocha, and the latte art was beautiful! Both the food and coffee were quite nice.
I’ll definitely come back and try other options next time!

The cafe looks cute and my husband's sandwich was ok. But the sfogliatelle that I ordered was dated, not fresh, with smell of fridge and it was ice cold. When I told the male server about it ( could be the owner), they got me a new one from kitchen. That one was fresh. So why not serve the fresh one in the first place? And when they asked me how was the second sfogliatelle, the server acted like they are not the problem but I was. Thanks for the attitude. By the way, please consider cleaning your salt and pepper grinders. The woman server was nice though. Oh, and the price of avocado on toast:( not going back, ever.

This was the best fish and chips we had in London after spending several days trying it in a few different places. What’s more, we only discovered this spot right at the end of our trip, so we thought we’d already had our fill of this iconic dish. Not at all! We cleared our plates and even ordered more. We can wholeheartedly recommend it. And warm greetings to the lovely lady and gentleman from Warsaw!

One of the best fish and chips spots in London! The haddock with fries was delicious, and the condiments were great quality. I also appreciated that you can sit inside — unlike many fish and chip shops that are takeout only. The staff were friendly, and overall, it’s excellent value for money.

Cute fish shop in Kew. Very quiet, the cod was huge and deliciously crispy. Some outside seating, some inside seating. Well priced, overall a great place to grab some fish & chips.
Josh Kellogg - 2 months ago
I’m not a big fish & chips gal, but had to try it while in the UK. Best I’ve ever had, especially the chips. Everything is fresh and very delicious. Big portions too, we got two filets and a large chip to share but it was enough to feed more like four people.
Sarah - 4 months ago
Down from Yorkshire we were delighted to find probably the best fish and chips we’ve ever eaten. VERY generous portions of chips ( the large would feed a family of 4) fish and chips wrapped separately so the steam from fish doesn’t make the chips soggy. The chips were perfect - crisp and browned, and somehow not at all greasy. The large cod, cooked with skin on for flavour, coated in a thin, light crisp batter. These men are artists !

Amazing service and a truly family-friendly atmosphere. The team went above and beyond to make our experience special. A big shout out to CJ and Arnold, as well as the rest of the staff, for their outstanding hospitality and attention to detail. This was one of the best restaurant experiences we’ve had in a long time. Highly recommended if you are looking for a family friendly restaurant after a visit to Kew Gardens.

A great place for a lovely Italian dinner!
My friend and I were walk-ins on Friday evening, but we were very pleasantly accommodated by Alex!
Alex was amazing, very polite and helpful, and the food was incredible! We had chilli wings, the sloppy guiseppe pizza and prawns puttanesca.
Shalin was wonderful as well, and recommended the chocolate brownie with ice cream, and the biscoff cheesecake with coffee for dessert :)
Loved the food, atmosphere, and service; and of course the location is perfect if you're spending a day exploring Richmond and Kew Gardens!

I had a fantastic experience at this pizzeria in London. The food was delicious, but what truly made the visit memorable was the outstanding service. Alexis and Beto were incredibly attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. They made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. Their professionalism and positive energy elevated the whole experience. Highly recommended!

Amazing food ,honestly one of the best cannellonis and lasagnas we’ve had. And that’s saying something, as we’ve been to quite a few Pizza Express restaurants around London.
We didn’t have to wait long for a table, and parking wasn’t a problem at all, which was a big plus. Our server, Alex, was great , very attentive and brought everything out quickly without us having to ask. Thank you Alex
Overall, a really enjoyable experience with great food and excellent service. We’ll definitely be back.

Right next to Kew Gardens station. (District line. )Yum yum! Reasonably priced for London, but absolutely great tasting. Last-minute dinner after the Halloween event at Kew gardens. By the time it got past 8.30 pm, it quiet down. The kids went home and there were more tables. Fast and great service. Went on a Monday.

A cosy, large Starbucks with plenty of seating, although it gets very crowded when school lets out. Pleasant and fast service. The only thing I didn't like was the internet speed, which was very slow

I had such a lovely experience here and want to say a heartfelt thank you to one of your team members, Eugene.
After enjoying coffee with friends, I accidentally left my favourite scarf on the sofa. I only realised later, after a walk in Kew Gardens, and thought it was gone for good. When I returned and began to explain, he immediately smiled, gave me a knowing look, and handed it back before I’d even finished my sentence.
It may seem like a small act, but that scarf carries many memories, and his kindness meant a great deal to me. Thank you for your attentiveness and warmth — it truly made my day.

Nice Starbucks! Stopped by to grab some drinks and snacks. Had the Matcha Frappuccino and Peach Iced Tea. Both were great and the baristas/staff members were friendly and very speedy. One of the few stores that open a bit later in the area but with limited seating especially after 6/6:30 PM. Overall it was great and not too crowded while we were there.

Nice Starbucks near the idyllic key gardens station. Food/coffee is typical Starbucks qualify, however there is a nice big discreet seating area in the back of the store consisting of about 8 smaller tables and seating.

The food was absolutely amazing, and I enjoyed every dish I tried. This is by far the best Italian restaurant I have ever been to. The quality of the food, the authentic flavors, and the attention to detail were outstanding. On top of that, the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout my visit. It was a truly memorable dining experience, and I will definitely be coming back the next time I’m in the country. Highly recommended!

Amazing Italian restaurant near Kew gardens with very friendly service and food that really reminded me and my mum of holidays in Italy with generous portions . I had the bruschetta, paparadelle bolognese and panna cotta and all of them were delicious. Overall, authentic food and lovely service

An amazing Italian restaurant just a couple of minutes walk from the Kew Gardens station! Food was delicious, staff was friendly and very welcoming. And the atmosphere in general was very cosy and relaxed.
They remembered that it was my birthday celebration and put a little candle in a desert I ordered. And by the way, that canoli was simply devine! 🤩
You can feel it's a family run restaurant.
It was our first time at this restaurant, and if I'm ever in the area I'll definitely go back there (and I hope that the canoli will be on the menu again. I can't stop thinking about it 😉).

Great food and a lovely atmosphere. Really friendly, and attentive staff.
We visited for a birthday meal, there were 14 of us so we had the set menu. There were antipasti platters to start, full of meats, olives, artichoke, avocado and lettuce with bread and oil on the side. Then I chose the chicken breast which came in a creamy sauce. My nephew chose the steak that had a mushroom sauce. All served with large plates of vegetables for the table and bowls of salad. To finish I had the tiramisu, but most others had the pannacotta.
I will definitely be back!!

My husband and I have lived in Kew for nearly 4 years and go to Q Verde for dinner at least once a month. It’s our favorite spot! The food is consistently delicious - I’m especially partial to the melanzane and the shrimp tagliatelle, the ambiance is cozy and vibrant, and the staff are lovely. The specials are always tasty - the truffle ravioli and the fried mozzarella are stand outs - and the desserts are equally tasty. We’ve brought friends from all over the world here and every single one has loved it. Can’t wait for our next visit!

Where else can you sit in a pub and watch the trains glide past? The Tap On The Line really is on the line.
With both indoor and outdoor seating, it’s a brilliant spot to pause for a quick, tasty beverage. Sitting right on the doorstep of Kew Gardens Station, with the Underground and Overground rolling through, it’s one of those places you end up adding to your list without even thinking.
A great little stop with character, convenience, and a front‑row seat to the railway.
I didn’t try the food but it smelt great 😊

Delicious food. Lovely location. Great if you have a trainspotter in your friends/family circles as it's right next to the railway station.
The decor is fab tying in with the Kew garden theme, the staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive. The bar was full because of rugby 6 nations Game's and the Olympics but the noise and atmosphere was fun and not too unwelcoming or raucous.
The indoor dining is in a separate area to the main bar. There were plenty of people sat outside even on a cold February Eve. It seems like it's a local favourite.

Really nice spot for a quick bite or a drink. We had some breads and olives and tapas bits which were delicious and reasonably priced.
The waitress who served us was really lovely and accommodating, even though she was running the show solo. Loved the decor too.
Kara-Jo MacFadyen - 5 months ago
Apparently the only Underground track side pub left of around 30 at peak. The venue is fantastic, staff friendly, food tasty and service quick. Being a windless hot sunny day also helped as we got a table outside.
Paul Steynberg - 2 months ago
This spot in Richmond has a prime location right by the train station and not far from Kew Gardens, one of London’s natural treasures. But honestly, sitting among fake plants when you have Kew down the road feels a bit insulting to the setting. It could be a hidden gem, but the atmosphere is thrown off when a rugby match is blaring on full volume, and the crowd is clearly not there for the sport. It’s a shame because on a sunny day, this could be a relaxing spot for a drink and a snack. I just wish they’d consider a separate space or a different vibe because shouting over the screen doesn’t match the place we hoped it would be.

A real little hidden gem. The cafe is small, cute and cosy, right opposite the station. They offer Japanese meals, teas and cakes / baking. There is a lunch special menu that changes. For me my favourite is the udon with prawn tempura which I really recommend.

Love this cafe. Just a shame I live far away. I was visiting the National Archives and researched beforehand what was nearby, and thought this looked good. And I was not wrong.
Small selection of Japanese food. All good.
We had tea and it was particularly good. Nice & strong, and they offered a free refill (which we took up).
We sat outside in the gorgeous afternoon sun. The cafe is located in quiet small square/courtyard, so is a lovely place to chill out.
Their opening hours are quite unusual, so you best check beforehand.
FANTASTIC, polite service.

I was initially drawn to the lunch bento from other people's reviews, so I decided to try the lunch set. It was served on a single plate rather than in traditional bento compartments, which was a bit unexpected. The pork was a bit cold and some pieces were slightly overcooked. Considering the price, I felt it was a little expensive for what I got. That said, the service was friendly and the staff were welcoming. The space has a casual layout and is sometimes used as a live music venue which adds an interesting touch. I didn’t try the coffee, but at around £4.50, it also seemed slightly on the pricey side.
