Had a very late lunch here on Sunday. The place is not too big, not too small, very pleasant atmosphere. 2-courses meal costs 25 GBP, tasted great. I think that's so nice and affordable for this good french cuisine, in London! Would love to try more dishes if I come around Kew Garden again.

An extraordinarily tasty lunch in a charming small bistro in Kew. The set lunch menu offered superb value for money and everything looked and tasted wonderful. The assiette of pâté with small pickles, a sweet honey mustard dressing and slices of cold meats was delicious, light, and perfectly balanced. My main of parmesan crusted chicken breast, with morel mushroom slice, baby potatoes, pickled red cabbage, and broccoli was both filling and very enjoyable. A large glass of the house rosé went down very nicely indeed - all for the exceptional price of £39 per head. A true gem of a place if visiting Kew Gardens.

Had a late lunch here after a visit to Kew Gardens. Two courses for £25 with a great choice of French bistro food. Had salmon assiette to start which was deliciously fresh followed by Confit Duck which was so tasty and fell off the bone. Quick service and excellent value. The type of restaurant we dont see much of any longer but need to.

Sat a outside on a cute street with lots of small village charm. This is an adorable petit French bistro!
Unfortunately the chicken dish was out, so I opted for the vegetarian item of the day. It's was delicious.
I started with the French onion soup, per recommendations. It was good, but I regret not trying something else.
Highly recommend stopping by after a visit to Kew!

We booked a table at 9:15pm after checking out the Orchids After Hours. We were a bit concerned it might be too late since the kitchen could close not long after we arrived, but the chef was super cool and waited for us until dessert was served. The food and service were amazing! We felt really welcome and relaxed—it was a fantastic experience. We’ll definitely be back!

A real gem of a place.
Authentic Italian pasties and coffee. The food I had was delicious and I had a mocha which was very good.
You can tell that everything is done to the very highest standard.
Plenty of seating and a garden add to the lovely atmosphere.

The sandwiches were really good, the bread felt very fresh, I really enjoyed my goat cheese sandwich. The atmosphere was great, good music and a very nice seating area inside

The cafe looks cute and my husband's sandwich was ok. But the sfogliatelle that I ordered was dated, not fresh, with smell of fridge and it was ice cold. When I told the male server about it ( could be the owner), they got me a new one from kitchen. That one was fresh. So why not serve the fresh one in the first place? And when they asked me how was the second sfogliatelle, the server acted like they are not the problem but I was. Thanks for the attitude. By the way, please consider cleaning your salt and pepper grinders. The woman server was nice though. Oh, and the price of avocado on toast:( not going back, ever.

Last weekend I visited a cafe located on Station Approach near Kew Gardens, which is about a 10 mins walk from the Underground Station.
The cafe offers outdoor seating with plenty of space and has a lovely, cozy atmosphere. Inside, the decor features warm colors, wooden accents, and charming plants that create a welcoming vibe. The walls are adorned with interesting artwork, adding to the overall charm.
The staff were very friendly and always smiling. I ordered the Tiramisu and Mocha, and the latte art was beautiful! Both the food and coffee were quite nice.
I’ll definitely come back and try other options next time!

Really good fish and chips. Large portions are really large. Cod is perfectly cooked and mushing peas are delicious.
There are few tables outside to eat, it's really nice when weather is sunny.

I seriously love my fish and chips and this was hands down the best fish and chips I’ve ever had in my life.
Everything was completely made to order and boy was it worth the wait.
The batter was so crispy but not greasy and the fish was so juicy and succulent in the middle. It was literally cooked to perfection.
The chips were amazing too. Not to crispy and not to soggy. A perfect blend and you can tell they use really good potatoes.
Really friendly service in lovely little area. Just a shame I don’t live closer as would be here every Friday!
Highly recommend!!

Kew Fish Bar serves some of the best fish and chips around — perfectly crispy, fresh, and full of flavour. What truly makes the place special are the owners: kind, humble, and generous people who make every visit feel welcoming. It’s not just about great food here, it’s about genuine warmth and community. Highly recommend for both the taste and the experience.

Absolutely delicious with extremely friendly staff with a smile. If you're visiting and want fish and chips -- look no further!! The fish is fresh and tender and the batter crisp and just right. Portion size is great too. You can't go wrong with the haddock or cod. 10/10!!

Pizza Express remains one of my favourite go to casual dining experiences. The location between the gardens and the station makes it easy to reach and a good choice after a walk around Kew.
The vegan menu is separate and changes often so it’s worth asking for. There was no aubergine when we visited, but there were still enough options. I shared the dough balls with omnivores which isn’t always possible, so I appreciate the dietary accommodation!
Service was friendly. The staff adjusted the menu to suit preferences and made sure everything was right. Both our server and the maître d’ checked in, which was appreciated. Our leftovers were boxed up without trouble.

Pleasantly surprised! I tend to avoid chains but popped in for a quick Sunday lunch with the family. The service was quick and the food was better than expected! Only negatives were than the gluten free pizza base was extremely sad looking- please provide better ones. When you are paying same price as regular pizza, you expect the same quality regardless of dietary requirements. Also the main host/ manager was quite brusque- not very helpful, rude tone of voice and not welcoming. We felt a nuisance to her. The other servers were fab.

I recently visited Pizza Express in Kew and had an absolutely fantastic meal, alongside some amazing service from our waiter Arsh. I haven’t been to a Pizza Express for a couple of years, but I feel like they’ve upped their game in terms of the quality of both the food and the restaurant. Upon arrival, we were greeted and shown to a table, where we were given one of their menus – and I have to admit – it took me a while to decide what to eat as it all sounded so good.
I settled on a Padana pizza, with some dough balls to share to start with – as a visit to Pizza Express wouldn’t be complete without dough balls. The pizza was gigantic and really flavoursome; I added some chicken too, which really added another dimension. For dessert, I went for one of their smaller desserts with a coffee, which was a great idea, and the Biscoff cheesecake was amazing.
The service we received from Arsh was as good as the food. He was friendly, attentive, and nothing was too much trouble.
I would highly recommend a visit to Pizza Express in Kew – it’s a great option after a day wandering around Kew Gardens!

Just went in to get a cookies and cream frappe, was told they were out. The guy at the register was so friendly and suggested to tiramisu one, made sure I was aware there was coffee in it. And the lady made it. They offered to make me a new one if I didn’t like it and they were so lovely and quick with making my drink. They really made my day 🫶

Nice Starbucks! Stopped by to grab some drinks and snacks. Had the Matcha Frappuccino and Peach Iced Tea. Both were great and the baristas/staff members were friendly and very speedy. One of the few stores that open a bit later in the area but with limited seating especially after 6/6:30 PM. Overall it was great and not too crowded while we were there.

Absolutely amazing!
Dinner at Q-verde was such a delight for a Friday night.
The food was divine and the wine was delicious 🤤
Although it is small, the staff were courteous and attentive while giving guests their privacy at the same time .
Have I talked about the food??
We were a party of 16 and no one complained about anything. Our food came at the right time and at the right temperature; no one’s order got mixed up.
I would certainly recommend!

Very pleasant experience in Q Verde. Excellent service, food, vibes, and absolutely worth the price. Been 5 months in London, this is the best! Moreover, it’s just authentic Italian food ❤️. When I went here with my husband for his birthday, my husband was also surprised with a wonderful ice cream. Thank you, Q Verde!

Great experience! Most of our Food was good, steak tacos was just ok. Out of scotch eggs when we went. Service and atmosphere was fantastic, not too busy on a Thursday afternoon.
Julian Richer - 2 weeks ago
The perfect pub, especially on a Sunday on a sunny spring day when the magnolias are popping and your nose is a bit cool so you warm up here. Or in winter when the skies are grey but the white lights are twinkling inside. Or sitting outside in summer and laughing a little louder on the third point. Oh kripes, it’s just always good, doesn’t matter when.
Their Sunday roast has puffy Yorkshire pudding, meat that makes this vegetable lover cave and a cabbage so perfectly charred I compare all my home versions to this one.
Don’t ever change, you glorious little snug.

Pre-Booked a table explaining I was a wheelchair user. Got the and lovely member of staff got the ramp out to ease access getting inside. Was me by really nice chap, which showed me to my table, opened a tab, and told me to just nod at a member of staff if I need anything saved getting up. Spent a really nice few hours there. They are scheduled forna refit in Sept, and I'll defo be back and the fact that it's literally next to the station means the 1.5hr journey made the need forna drink well worthwhile.
Many thanks to Deseis, Malvern, Richard & Kim. Fantastic manners and polite and hospitable. Gave a suggestion about having the history of the building, which will hopefully happen as part of the refurbishment.

I came here with some friends and we had a very pleasant stay! The location is really pretty and comfortable, the service was friendly and kind. The food was also really tasty, warm and made with care. I had a starter and a main course, it was a bit difficult to finish everything because the portions are quite big, but everything was delicious. I would definitely recommend!

A real little hidden gem. The cafe is small, cute and cosy, right opposite the station. They offer Japanese meals, teas and cakes / baking. There is a lunch special menu that changes. For me my favourite is the udon with prawn tempura which I really recommend.

Such a cute café! The ladies working there were so kind and welcoming. They had a lovely outside area in the sun. I had the iced matcha latte, which was perfectly balanced between bitterness and sweetness 💚

I was initially drawn to the lunch bento from other people's reviews, so I decided to try the lunch set. It was served on a single plate rather than in traditional bento compartments, which was a bit unexpected. The pork was a bit cold and some pieces were slightly overcooked. Considering the price, I felt it was a little expensive for what I got. That said, the service was friendly and the staff were welcoming. The space has a casual layout and is sometimes used as a live music venue which adds an interesting touch. I didn’t try the coffee, but at around £4.50, it also seemed slightly on the pricey side.

The best Japanese food in London. I go for their lunch plate every week.

Love this cafe. Just a shame I live far away. I was visiting the National Archives and researched beforehand what was nearby, and thought this looked good. And I was not wrong.
Small selection of Japanese food. All good.
We had tea and it was particularly good. Nice & strong, and they offered a free refill (which we took up).
We sat outside in the gorgeous afternoon sun. The cafe is located in quiet small square/courtyard, so is a lovely place to chill out.
Their opening hours are quite unusual, so you best check beforehand.
FANTASTIC, polite service.
