5 Star Rating Love this place. We found it on the off chance last year while driving home through Kew and went back today, and it was just as good. The area is really nice and the restaurant has an authentic French feel. Staff are all friendly and helpful, and the food was fresh, well presented, and super tasty. The liver was soft, perfectly cooked and tasty, the Hake was fresh with a lovely prawn sauce, everything was amazing. Thank guys, I'm sure we'll be back.

5 Star Rating Ok, negatives, or should I say the one and only negative out of the way first. The service by all waiting staff was excellent but could be a little more aware that you were waiting to order. But once that was over, the maitre'd and the other two ladies were always on hand to help. Now the food. Excellent is all I can say. I've eaten French food North, South, East, West, and Central France, and I'd say it was the measure if not better than all the little bistros I've eaten in over the years. The scallops were fresh with a rich creamy sauce followed by the chicken breast with an equally decadent sauce, tarragon pesto fried gnocchi and tasty accompanying vegetables and potato gratin. I finished with the crepes suzette and vanilla ice cream and a generous shot of Grand Marnier. Definitely try Ma Cuisine and enjoy the welcoming cosy atmosphere, excellent food, and overall excellent service.

5 Star Rating Great! We live nearby and have eaten here many times over the years. The food is always amazing and freshly prepared. For breakfast we regularly take the eggs Royale. For lunch I have had the fish cake, pie, chicken burger and pizzas and can recommend them all. It is not the cheapest restaurant in Kew but the atmosphere is great and the food very good quality.

3 Star Rating We were rather underwhelmed by this place. The food is good, but not outstanding and it certainly does not meet the high prices. We (two adults and one child) tried the pizza, which was fine, three starters, the Whisky & maple cured pork tomahawk, duck fat chips and one glass of wine and this came to over £90. The pork was around £25 and it was basically a few cuts of meat and two bits of grilled corn. It certainly didn't feel like a £25 entrée. Value for money for us wasn't there and the service was average.

I went on Sunday morning so it was a bit busy and it took around 20-30 minutes to get the food ready but it was worth it. The taste is amazing and you will have a great day by starting at this cafe. 5 Star Rating I seriously love my fish and chips and this was hands down the best fish and chips I’ve ever had in my life. Everything was completely made to order and boy was it worth the wait. The batter was so crispy but not greasy and the fish was so juicy and succulent in the middle. It was literally cooked to perfection. The chips were amazing too. Not to crispy and not to soggy. A perfect blend and you can tell they use really good potatoes. Really friendly service in lovely little area. Just a shame I don’t live closer as would be here every Friday! Highly recommend!!

5 Star Rating Hands down the best Fish and Chips I’ve ever had. I had the Cornish Pasty which is not industrialised, but looks and tastes home made, deliciously seasoned and fresh. The Cod was the most flaky, juicy with super crispy crust and the chips were on the same level, chunky and soft on the inside but crispy on the outside. They made it to order and nothing was left sitting on the counter. I more than 100% recommend it. They seem to be a family business and have very good customer service, very attentive and quick. The space is sweet and yes, it could have a bit more to the decor but at the end of the day, the food and service is what matter the most, and they definitely excel! The large Cod portion is massive, they put a whole fillet + another chunky piece, with loads of chips.

2 Star Rating Can’t recommend for a place to go out for dinner. Only recommend if have kids as restaurant is very child friendly. Pizza is good, although pizzas almost too thin but if you like that then quality is good. Prices have gone up massively at pizza express. Over £18 for some. Plenty of much better and authentic Italian pizzas to go to instead. Restaurant seemed quite dirty, used napkins on floor. Service poor - waiters forget things, seemed uninterested. Always very busy so they much make lots of money but go somewhere else unless you want a quick meal.

2 Star Rating Ordered drinks and then 2mins later told "we are closing this section off". Given that the space is limited and some of the available space had the stools already on the table this was a shabby thing to do. This was over an hour before the closing time. The place is run for the convenience of the staff rather than customers. Fortunately there are plenty of alternative coffee shops nearby, so bye bye Starbucks in Kew.

4 Star Rating Attractive Italian eatery in close proximity to Kew Gardens. Service was friendly and attentive. Although the pasta was well cooked we felt that we could have produced a similar tasting dish at home for a fraction of the price. 3 Star Rating I've been looking forward to visiting this restaurant for quite some time, based on previous Google reviews. Honestly, it was a little disappointing when we did manage to get some food here. The staff are extremely friendly, can't complain about the service at all. The atmosphere was good but could be better. The real disappointment was the food. It wasn't at the level I was expecting. Though the starters were good, the mains were mediocre. I've had better food at many other Italian restaurants. Please don't take this as negative criticism, that's not my intention. I would suggest looking into hiring another chef to elevate the taste. Or drop the prices. You can't have both mediocre food and absurd prices.

4 Star Rating Q Verde is an old favourite with our kids who live locally. This was my 3rd or 4th visit and we went with our grown up children, (group of 6) for a family dinner. Whilst the service is always exquisite and entertaining from the lovely owner who goes out of his way to be accommodating & generous, a couple of us felt the food quality had slipped. I remember 4-5 years ago that the cuisine was exemplary; now it is just ok. Which made our bill of £350 seem rather in the expensive side. We had starters, mains & some desserts….maybe it’s just that London prices have increased substantially since the Pandemic. My fish portion was tiny and the thick orange sauce tasted somewhat like a packet mix (as did all the pasta sauces to my mind). Q Verde is still enduringly popular and always advisable to book; the kids all loved it…perhaps the chef was just having a bad night. We hope for a better experience next time.
