We made a reservation for three the day before, and from the moment we arrived, Madison impressed us. The service is incredibly well-organised and genuinely welcoming; from the staff downstairs confirming reservations and guiding guests to the elevator, to the hosts who seat you, and the team managing the doors. Professional, friendly, detailed - 10/10.
The views of London are outstanding and truly add to the atmosphere. Whether you’ve lived here for years or are visiting for the first time, seeing the skyline from Madison looks like something out of a postcard.
Our server, Sachin, was brilliant. He took the time to explain the menu, offered great recommendations, and made us feel well looked after throughout. The food was delicious, the drinks were excellent, and the complimentary prosecco was such a thoughtful touch.
Overall, a 10/10 dining experience. I’d love to return in the summer or try brunch to experience this place in a different light. Highly recommend.

Came with my wife and got an incredible attendance thanks to Abhijith ( the really tall waiter). The food was delicious, flavorful and tasty. Great variety of cocktails also worth to try. Wishing to repeat this experience forward .

The most remarkable place imaginable.
Absolutely blown away every time I visit !
I had 1/2 lobster tail ! It was phenomenal.
The flavours were unbelievable, the lobster was super moist and fresh.
Utter perfection !
To top it off we had a gigantic Strawberry Sunday.
I was later surprised with a beautiful congratulations cake.
Thank you Madison’s.

I had an amazing birthday celebration at Madison — delicious food, great drinks, breathtaking views of St Paul’s Cathedral, and an incredible atmosphere overall. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back again. Huge thanks to the team for the fantastic service making this birthday memorable ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had a wonderful dinner at the Madison. The views of Saint Paul’s and the London Eye can’t be beat on this rooftop restaurant. We particularly enjoyed the shrimp rigatoni, green goddess salad, and bread with Brie. Both the skillet cookie and chocolate sea salt brownie were chocolatey and delicious.
Overall we had a positive experience but a few minor remarks are that the service was a bit slower than we’d like, we had to ask for our bread, ask for the check, etc. Additionally while the salmon was flavorful we wished it came with hot sides rather than cold boiled eggs, lettuce and green beans. It seemed more like an afterthought.

Bottomless 'brunch' with 10 of us on Friday evening, couldn't recommend more. Veni was 10/10 helpful and extremely attentive. Alcohol was consistent and frequent, looked after us to no end.
The food was also great. Excellent value, and well worth doing.

Fantastic experience at Core Bar London. The service we received from Luca was exceptional — genuinely attentive, professional, and full of positive energy. He has a natural way of making guests feel comfortable and valued, which really elevates the whole atmosphere of the bar. It’s clear he takes pride in what he does, and it shows. Great service like this is rare. Highly recommended.

Visited Core Bar in Bank and had an excellent experience. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, perfect for a relaxed evening out. The service throughout was genuinely impressive, but a special mention goes to the manager on duty, Luca. He was incredibly helpful, attentive, and made sure we were looked after in a truly spectacular way. His professionalism and warm approach elevated the whole night.

Ami at the bar was incredibly attentive to me (who needed so many water bottle refills). Thank you so much!!!
Music is on the loud end but it is possible to talk, and the cheap price of nice drinks makes it worthwhile anyway. Toilets seem to be cleaned regularly. There was a nice atmosphere about with lots of people visiting for a drink after work.
Unfortunately my group had a totally unnecessary negative experience with a bouncer/security toward the end of the night. We were tipsy, not drunk, by about 10pm and we only had a few bottles of wine between 5ish people to share. My friend went out for a smoke and was denied entry back in, and we were later told that it’s because she was “too drunk” judging by her “swaying”. We were having an excellent night until they kept her outside for an extended period of time and no one let her grab her bags or tell her friends inside despite them claiming “to have been about to”. The night was to celebrate her but was spoiled by security being incredibly assumptive and unhelpful, it was also turning away business. It wasn’t until the rest of the remainder of our group came outside to explain that they understood, which we were grateful for. Despite them definitely trying to do their job, they were fairly careless and unprofessional. A male worker even came outside and laughed about my friend who was upset by the misunderstanding, maybe he thought we couldn’t hear.
Not sure if this can be solved with more training unfortunately, seems to be based on a persons ability to read someone or be careful.

Amazing food, wine, service! One of the best Italian place I have ever been to. Highly recommend it if you want an authentic, traditional experience.

Had an amazing lunch here with my boyfriend. We have traveled Italy a lot and I have to say this place is the real deal. The food is authentic (and absolutely delicious!) and so is the atmosphere. We had the pleasure of meeting the manager Manuel (who I believe is also Italian and just gives the place an even more authentic feel) and he checked on us and our meal, he was really friendly. We had a great service and experience there and we will definitely be back!

We had an exceptional experience at Coq d’Argent. From the moment we arrived, everything felt polished, welcoming, and effortlessly elegant. The setting alone is special, but the food truly elevates it.
Each dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavour, refined French cooking executed with precision and creativity. The ingredients tasted incredibly fresh, the balance of flavours was spot on, and every course felt thoughtfully crafted. It’s rare to find a menu that is both classic and exciting at the same time.
The service was equally outstanding. Attentive without being intrusive, professional yet warm, exactly what you hope for in a restaurant of this calibre. A special thank you to Kayes, who looked after us brilliantly. He was knowledgeable, personable, and genuinely made our evening even more enjoyable. His recommendations were spot on, and he struck the perfect balance between friendly and refined service.
A flawless dining experience in every sense. We’ll absolutely be returning and recommending to everyone we know.

Had a three course meal and all the dishes were prepared with great detail and attention. But the lunch experience was truly made by Greg’s excellent service. Very warm and welcoming, patient and knowledgeable. It wasn’t just a lunch where I had a few dishes, it was a full experience for my palate, trying so many different flavours. It was a magical moment :)

The Combo for Two at Burger & Lobster – Bread Street delivered an experience that feels indulgent yet comforting. The dishes arrive beautifully presented: half lobster portions with delicately sweet meat, perfectly cooked and paired with a velvety butter sauce that enhances every bite. The classic burger is surprisingly well-balanced—juicy, smoky, and rich—standing confidently beside the seafood instead of being overshadowed. The fries offer satisfying crispness, while the fresh salad adds brightness and balance to the plate.
The ambiance of the restaurant is warm and relaxed, with spacious leather seating and soft lighting that creates a cozy dining rhythm. Service is friendly and attentive, making the meal feel unrushed and genuinely enjoyable. Ending with a smooth hot chocolate and a crème brûlée topped with a caramelized crust was a delightful finale—simple but deeply satisfying.
Overall, this combo is a celebration of generous portions, quality ingredients, and thoughtful preparation. It’s a dining experience that makes you want to return, both for the flavors and for the inviting atmosphere.

Absolutely fantastic dining experience! We ordered the Jumbo Lobster today, and it was incredibly delicious—the meat was tender and bursting with flavor.
A huge shout-out and compliment to our waiter, Max! His service was excellent and incredibly attentive. He provided a very detailed introduction to the menu and, best of all, patiently and skillfully helped us with the entire lobster cracking process. Max's exceptional service truly made our dinner perfect.

Generally very good, lives up to the name and reputation, with nice cuts of meat cooked well. Seafood starters also nice, freshly prepared. Sides and sauces complement the meat dishes nicely and the environment is lively, typical for a City steakhouse.
A good location for a business dinner or after work with friends/colleagues.

We took my 15 year old cousin here as he loves steak (cooking and eating) and I've had good experiences in the past at the Mayfair location.
Prices are, like many steak places, eye watering. It was a Saturday evening and the restaurant was quiet, even when we were leaving at 8pm.
I don't object to paying for good quality food and service but I must say, we got a very mixed bag with this place.
On arrival, we were seated in a nice booth at the front.. Our server was helpful and pleasant, we were offered drinks and menus immediately, and shown the customary raw meat selection.
Interestingly most of the starters are seafood based (prawn, crab, tuna) which is a problem if you have a slightly picky teenager with you. He had the bread basket to himself (which you're charged for, which in and of itself, I find astonishing). Over 30 years of going to all kinds of higher end restaurants and this is the only time I've been charged for bread other than specialised bread baskets. Last year's teenager birthday meal was The Ivy, the year before The Savoy Grill. On neither occasion did either restaurant charge for the standard, pre-meal bread. In fact, the Savoy provided a second basket for the teenager free of charge.
To start I had the prawn tempura and the other guest had the burrata. The burrata was good quality and tasty. The prawns were generous but I found the creamy sauce and batter a sickly combination. I felt in needed more citrus, sharpness.
I ordered the sirloin as my main, teen had the Australian Ribeye and the other guest has the fillet. We ordered fries, chips and green beans to accompany alongside 2 x peppercorn sauce and 1 x Stilton.
The sirloin was beautifully cooked and very tasty. As was the Fillet. However, the ribeye was underdone and the Stilton sauce tasted only of beef gravy. We sent both back. The ribeye was refunded and the Stilton sauce left unimproved and replaced with a bernaise (at our request) in the end.
On taking the ribeye away the manager (? I assume, she never introduced herself) asked if we wanted another. We said no as we were half way through out meals. She did not return to follow up or establish what the outcome of the complaint would be. And she did not apologise.
Super disappointing.
Our waiter was very good, though, and apologetic. They did provide a Birthday sundae for the teenager but we opted not to order anything further.
In the end, the ribeye had been removed from our bill, as had the sauce.
Its worth noting that this place adds a 15% service charge. I once again implore all visitors to London restaurants to ask for service charges to be removed.
Restaurants that charge £40 for their cheapest steak and £9 for each side order should not be expecting guests to plump up staff wages. We have a living wage in the UK and, whilst I continue to (and encourage others to) tip for very good service, I don't believe in the ever growing trend on foisting service charging on customers.
And 15% is ludicrous.
A disappointment in the end, especially as it was the teenager who didn't enjoy his steak and it was his birthday. Won't be returning.
Cherie Cope - 4 months ago
We were alone in the restaurant and had to wait for drinks when the meat was already on the table (the bartender was too busy talking), and then the waiters forgot about us and didn't come over.
The meat was of good quality, but the taste was ruined by the burning due to the cooking method.
The dessert and tart-tart were delicious

We enjoyed the Christmas menu on our company management Xmas lunch.
The ribeye was tender and very aromatic!
Service was very attentive and friendly, the wine recommendations great.
Thank you, looking forward to visit you in 2026

Stopped by for a casual lunch meeting and was treated to a lovely view.
Watching the Millennium bridge and the Tate Modern shift from a moody grey to a shimmering silver as the clouds parted was a highlight.
We kicked things off with the Biltong—my first time trying it. It’s a good one; much softer and more tender than a typical beef jerky. Good snack if you're settling in for some drinks.
The ribeye steak was the kick. Cooked well, incredibly tender, and paired beautifully with the spinach. I went for the peppercorn sauce—it’s the ultimate pairing that never fails.
While the coffee was a bit standard, the dessert menu made up for it. A great spot for a business lunch or a scenic date.

I wish there is an option to give 10 stars here! High Timber is one of those rare places that gets everything just right. The food was absolutely delicious – every dish felt thoughtfully crafted and full of flavour. The wine list was amazing, especially knowing it’s from their own South African vineyard – I loved the personal touch. The service was warm and attentive without ever feeling overbearing, and the riverside views made the whole evening feel extra special. It’s the kind of spot you leave already planning your next visit. Shout out to Lucas for the wonderful service!

A lovely meal at High Timer where the food is excellent. Personally I had the cod which was very tasty but most in our party had steak which I was told was delicious. We dined outside on a glorious summers evening and watched the full moon pass the Shard. Starters was smoked salmon and the desert was a superb malva pudding. There is a wide choice of food to suit your taste but if you prefer the taste of South Africa you will not be disappointed. The wine cellar has a large selection of wines and the ambience of the restaurant is subtle African. A very nice night out in the heart of the city with superb views along the Thames.

Update: came here in Jan and service was horrific, no one took our order for over half an hour even though it was quiet, the waitress spilt our wine, and our mains were luke warm. There were also buckets on the floor to catch rain water, and we were sat right next to them despite the restaurant being under half full. Not planning on coming back
Had the prawn and tofu pad Thai, the portion size was excellent and food came out very promptly. Nice vibe inside this restaurant too

I recently visited this pub with a comedy night, and it exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere was lively, with a perfect blend of laughter and good vibes. The comedy acts were top-notch, keeping the audience engaged throughout the night. Great food and drinks too...
What truly stood out, though, was the exceptional service provided by Steve. His attentiveness and friendly demeanor elevated the overall experience. He went above and beyond to ensure everyone had a great time. The combination of great comedy and outstanding service makes this pub a must-visit.

I am very pleased I choose to celebrate Fullers 177 years at The Saint last night. The service was good and we really enjoyed the food (see photos). We ordered the open salt beef sourdough (which came with fries) and the chargrilled fennel, courgette, hazelnut & orange salad. The food was wonderful and good value for money. I also enjoyed their red house wine. Looking forward to coming back again soon.

We cannot thank Harry and his team enough, they made our evening wedding celebrations absolutely perfect - it was by far our favourite part of the day. As soon as we arrived the team had everything prepared, we had so many guests compliment the venue, team and food. Harry was amazing from our first contact, answering all of my queries pretty much straight away and helped recommend an agency for our DJ which, was the best DJ we’ve seen at a wedding party, albeit slightly bias.
I really could not recommend The Saint enough, we didn’t want the night to end - it truly was the perfect venue for a celebration and I wish we could do it all over again.
Thank you so much Harry and the Team, everything was faultless!!!
