Madison - Rooftop Restaurant & Bar in St Paul's. and I wanted to express my sincere appreciation for the exceptional service we received from start to finish. The entire visit was incredibly well-organized and welcoming. We were impressed by the seamless coordination of your team, from the staff downstairs who confirmed our reservation and guided us to the elevator, to the hosts and door team who ensured we were seated comfortably. The professional and friendly atmosphere truly sets you apart. The views of the London skyline were outstanding and provided a stunning backdrop for our meal. Additionally, I would like to specifically commend our server, Sachin. He was brilliant throughout the service, taking the time to explain the menu and offering excellent recommendations. The food and drinks were delicious, and the complimentary prosecco was a very thoughtful touch that made us feel exceptionally well looked after. Overall, it was a 10/10 experience. I look forward to returning in the summer or joining you for brunch soon to experience the venue in a different light. Highly recommended!

Amazing Rooftop Experience at Madison! We absolutely loved our visit to Madison Rooftop. The views overlooking St Paul's Cathedral are stunning, the atmosphere is fantastic, and the live DJ created the perfect vibe. What really stood out was how welcoming everyone was. From the doorman and security to the lovely lady and gentleman who greeted us at the entrance, every member of staff was friendly and professional. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Unlike another rooftop bar we'd visited, there was no rude attitude, no unnecessary minimum spend, and no pressure. We hadn't pre-booked and were still able to get a table outside without any problems, although booking is available if you prefer. The drinks were reasonably priced for a London rooftop, the outdoor seating was beautiful, and the whole experience was relaxed and enjoyable. A brilliant afternoon with amazing views, great music, excellent service, and a lovely atmosphere. We would definitely return and highly recommend Madison to anyone looking for a rooftop venue in London.

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Yasmin, who was incredibly friendly and greeted us with a lovely smile. We asked if it would be possible to sit outside instead of indoors, and Yasmin kindly checked the system and let us know that a table would be ready in about 10 minutes. The views from the restaurant were absolutely breathtaking. We were lucky enough to catch a beautiful sunset, and the scenery was simply unforgettable. The food was delicious, arrived at the perfect time, and was cooked perfectly. After dinner, we headed to the bar area where there was great music and a lovely atmosphere. We then relaxed on the benches, admiring the stunning views of St Paul’s Cathedral. Overall, I would rate this experience 100/10. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we will definitely be coming back again.

We bought a voucher through the Time Out Offers, which was £29.50 for three courses which was good value. The food itself was good, but unfortunately the service really let the experience down. The staff were lovely and friendly, We had a normal wait for our starters but then took over two hours for our mains to arrive because, for whatever reason, our order hadn’t been put through. They did realise and apologise and took our round of drinks off the bill, which was appreciated, but by that point it felt like a huge chunk of the evening had been spent just waiting around and seeing as we had already paid upfront for 3 courses we didn’t want to just leave. Unfortunately, even though the food was decent when it arrived, the length of the wait really took away from the overall experience and left us feeling disappointed with it. Overall, it was an okay experience and the voucher was good value, but the service and exceptionally long wait for the mains definitely spoiled what could have been a much better evening.

Ugh, I hate to give bad reviews but the dining part of Madison really is a place to avoid: airline quality food, tourist prices, pretentious service, and overly loud music. As a rooftop bar it's almost ok, but the one attraction (the sunset view of St Pauls) is also it's curse since it gets ridiculously crowded and the direct low angle sun can be overwhelming.

This place gets quite busy during Thursdays in the summer. Really great value spot in the city. However the staff are amazing, pushing through quickly despite how busy it can get and through the heatwave. Shout out to John who was working hard downstairs in probably the hottest part of the bar, super friendly guy, please give him my thanks Core team! I’ll definitely be back!

Chilled bar near Cannon Street offering cheap drinks till 9pm. What's not to like? Food was basic but fine, did the job. There's a promising looking downstairs bar with a club feel, hadn't really got going when I left at 10pm.

Came into core bar last Thursday and it was amazing!! The happy hour prices are incredible and especially in the heart of London. Props to Ashley and Amie at the bar, very quick and attentive to mine and my friends requests. Would recommend this place 100%

T.E. has been serving fine Italian food to the City since 1967 so must be good. Enjoyed friendly professional service in a buzzy atmosphere with a delicious mix of Italian food with the best class I have been served. Must be highly rated as there were about 40 very happy Italians dining downstairs in the private dining room.

Now for many years this was my go to lunch spot in the City. Good family run Italian restaurant that was always busy and fun. Went back for lunch today hoping for more of the same. Sadly the old MD is no longer working there and it was largely empty. The staff were still friendly but sadly the food was poor. My starter of calamari was cool when it arrived and the batter was soft with oil oozing out when I cut into it. No seasoning and just 5 thin strips of calamari for £13.50...honestly? I was hoping this was a one off but my old favourite of lobster ravioli arrived under what can only be described as a red gloop with some cherry tomatoes floating in it. The ravioli themselves were small, overcooked and largely tasteless. All in all a real disappointment after really looking forward to my return trip. The staff were fun and friendly but I suspect the chef has changed or I just got unlucky. Shame and I hope they turn it around.

Visited for an early dinner and had the most fabulous service from the Handsome Sebastian. We felt really taken care of, the best service I've had in the UK. The food was amazing and the desserts were fantastic. It was very quiet so the atmosphere was amazing and we even got to take a look at the balcony. The whole team were very friendly and welcoming. We would definitely visit again. The Coq au vin was divine and the chocolate and pistachio cake was small but mighty. 15/10. Thank you Sebastian and team for such a lovely experience.

We visited this place for the first time. The atmosphere was pleasant, and sitting outside on a summer day turned out to be the best decision. What stood out the most was the crème brûlée — it tasted like the most authentic and classic recipe. It was also my first time seeing it served with madeleines, which was such a lovely and delicious touch. Overall, it’s a good place with decent service. I’d give it a solid 7/10. It didn’t surprise me too much though — the menu felt a bit limited and more suited for people who specifically enjoy French cuisine. The cocktail selection wasn’t small, but it also didn’t leave a “wow” impression. The atmosphere ended up feeling a little too plain.

An amazing experience all round We started with drinks at the bar where Romaine recommended cocktails based on our tastes. At our table, Greg and Jamal were very attentive and kind throughout our entire meal which was absolutely delicious. I’d definitely recommend Cos d’Argent to anyone looking for a French meal and experience in the city

Booked for dinner on a Friday night using First Table. Originally our reserved table was inside but requested to sit outside and they moved us with little fuss (despite restaurant being pretty busy). Food was amazing, simply delicious and great variety. Nice atmosphere, and great volume level. There is a top bar / viewing platform you can visit afterwards too. The staff were all very friendly & attentive. I really appreciated that the waiter read my eyes when the bill came, and presented it directly to me to avoid any awkwardness - small things like this really improve the experience.

Kit (our server) was very welcoming and walked us through the drinks and food options. Food was surprisingly amazing, and the service provided by Kit was exceptional (he kept on checking on us to make sure we were ok). Would recommend for both dining and just drinking and watching a game the game on the telly.

The Golden Fleece is a good city pub. Large ground floor area with another large area downstairs. Decent beers on tap. Visited on a Saturday so quite quiet like most of the actual city on a weekend. Suspect this place gets very busy on week nights. Nice pub. Recommended.

This review is to replace a poor review I gave by mistake for a different pub/restaurant. This is to put the record stright. Very nice old fashioned pub. We were in at lunchtime on a Thursday and the service was good and the drink selections very extensive. Very nice atmosphere and a fair number of large screen TVs. We came back at about 1700 and it was heaving but not so crowded you would look elsewhere. We will be back. Apologies about previous post about another establishment by mistake.

We were a group of 9, visited this nice old pub for a post business meeting dinner and a pint at short notice. Great service from Kit who made sure we were comfortable. Loved the cloudy IPA and burger. Highly recommended.

I was honestly so pleasantly surprised! The food was absolutely delicious, and the fries were perfectly crispy and not soggy at all. The sharing platter for two was also a really good portion – you definitely leave feeling full! Our waitress was incredibly friendly, attentive and welcoming. I also really appreciated that they asked about any allergies or intolerances beforehand such a thoughtful touch. And I personally loved that the calories were listed for everything on the menu 😂 I always find that really helpful! It was a little loud because the restaurant was quite busy and there was music playing in the background, but personally, it didn’t bother me at all. Overall, we had such a great experience and I’d definitely come back! 🥰🍔🍟

The problem with my family is that we eat quickly and tend not to take the time to enjoy the atmosphere of a restaurant or the quality of the food. It was my eldest's 15th birthday and, no, we didn't do anything different. But we did point out the fact that the service was swift, very professional, friendly and understanding. We also enjoyed the food immensely, half the party having lobster, whilst the other two had different burgers. All the plates were finished (lobster casings aside) and we actually said how nice the restaurant was.

My experience at Burger & Lobster was simply unforgettable. I started with a burger that was perfectly cooked, incredibly juicy, and with an ideal balance of flavors and textures. The lobster croquettes were absolutely insane,crispy on the outside, yet rich, creamy, and packed with flavor on the inside. It’s the kind of dish that stays on your mind long after the meal is over. I also got to try the lobster roll, and it was just as impressive. The lobster was succulent, fresh, and full of authentic flavor, exactly what you hope for, but rarely find done this well. And I almost forgot the lobster mac & cheese was incredibly good as well. Rich, comforting, and perfectly indulgent, with generous pieces of lobster that took it to another level. Overall, an outstanding dining experience. If you’re in London, this place is an absolute must-visit!

Wow, wow, wow is all I can say!!! Phenomenal service from the minute we walked in. Fantastic selection of cocktails and wines, as well as a beautiful interior. The food is nothing short of outstanding - though the skinny fries could be skinnier (they’re more like chips) and the mashed potato could be much butterier. Other than that, no notes, 11/10. We will definitely be back!

Went here for a works meal having not been to Goodman in many years. I have had some of the best steaks ever as this chain and today didn't disappoint. Ordered 300g of Wagu at close to £40 per 100g but it was worth it. The steak was close to melt in your mouth and cooked to perfection. Should have got a slightly bigger piece. Sides were all good but the steak was the star of the show. I've been to a lot of steak houses over the years but in my mind, Goodman does the best steaks in London.

Not only the food was impeccable but the service topped it for us! We had a surprise birthday dinner for our close friend & had a private room. The staff were amazing and accommodating. Helped us charge our phone, took photos, brought out cake - just 10/10! The sides are generous and steak was cooked to perfection. Most our table ordered the ribeye 😍😍 it melted in your mouth! My favourite sides were the creamed spinach and mac n cheese. Only note is wish the sauce was bigger! Highly recommend.

Goodman in Bank offers a polished steakhouse experience in the heart of the City. ​Stopped by for a casual lunch meeting and was treated to a lovely view. Watching the Millennium bridge and the Tate Modern shift from a moody grey to a shimmering silver as the clouds parted was a highlight. ​We kicked things off with the Biltong—my first time trying it. It’s a good one; much softer and more tender than a typical beef jerky. Good snack if you're settling in for some drinks. ​The ribeye steak was the kick. Cooked well, incredibly tender, and paired beautifully with the spinach. I went for the peppercorn sauce—it’s the ultimate pairing that never fails. ​While the coffee was a bit standard, the dessert menu made up for it. A great spot for a business lunch or a scenic date.

I wish there is an option to give 10 stars here! High Timber is one of those rare places that gets everything just right. The food was absolutely delicious – every dish felt thoughtfully crafted and full of flavour. The wine list was amazing, especially knowing it’s from their own South African vineyard – I loved the personal touch. The service was warm and attentive without ever feeling overbearing, and the riverside views made the whole evening feel extra special. It’s the kind of spot you leave already planning your next visit. Shout out to Lucas for the wonderful service!

Who knew the potential lurking here, now released by a recent staff take over of previous management. Have significantly upped their food game and traditional warm service remains. Has gone from feeling overpriced to pricey but good value. They still need to have their massive wine cellar on an iPad however as it always feels like there are gems hiding.

A lovely meal at High Timer where the food is excellent. Personally I had the cod which was very tasty but most in our party had steak which I was told was delicious. We dined outside on a glorious summers evening and watched the full moon pass the Shard. Starters was smoked salmon and the desert was a superb malva pudding. There is a wide choice of food to suit your taste but if you prefer the taste of South Africa you will not be disappointed. The wine cellar has a large selection of wines and the ambience of the restaurant is subtle African. A very nice night out in the heart of the city with superb views along the Thames.

Update: came here in Jan and service was horrific, no one took our order for over half an hour even though it was quiet, the waitress spilt our wine, and our mains were luke warm. There were also buckets on the floor to catch rain water, and we were sat right next to them despite the restaurant being under half full. Not planning on coming back Had the prawn and tofu pad Thai, the portion size was excellent and food came out very promptly. Nice vibe inside this restaurant too

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently visited Thai Square Mansion House for dinner and had an excellent experience. The food was of exceptional quality and absolutely delicious. While the prices may seem a bit high, I believe that’s expected given its prime location. What really stood out was the service – Ratchel, who attended to us, was incredibly efficient and provided excellent customer care. Overall, a wonderful dining experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for top-notch Thai food in a great location!

A great place for drinks. The service is really good. Usually very crowded but the wait at the bar is never more than 2 minutes. The bartenders are really nice and lovely cocktails too. Steve makes amazing drinks! Comedy nights on Tuesdays are too good. Free tickets and good stand up comics. Been there thrice already! Would recommend.

Arranged my leaving do at The Saint with Nathan. Originally booked outside but the weather took a turn for the worse and we were accommodated inside with our own area. Lily looked after us on the evening. Nathan, Lily and the rest of the team were wonderful. We were well looked after and nothing was too much trouble. Would thoroughly recommend The Saint as a venue for groups. Thank you for making my evening so memorable Lily!

I held my leaving drinks here last Wednesday evening and had reserved an outdoor area, as the weather was forecast to be very warm. The booking was made the week before, and the duty manager who assisted me was extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating. On the day of the event, I arrived to find that the tables had already been clearly reserved ahead of the start time, which was very reassuring and helpful. One of the staff members, Lilly, introduced herself and explained that she would be looking after me and my guests throughout the evening. Lilly was absolutely fantastic. She immediately rearranged the tables and seating to create a more sociable and welcoming space for our group. Throughout the evening, she was attentive, friendly, and proactive, regularly taking drink orders, clearing empty glasses, and ensuring everything was running smoothly. She was also very quick to resolve any discrepancies with drink orders, which was greatly appreciated. Lilly, together with the team behind the bar, provided exceptional service and helped make the evening a great success. I had a wonderful experience at The Saint and would not hesitate to return in the future. Thank you to everyone involved for making my leaving drinks such an enjoyable and memorable occasion.
