Firstly from the gentleman at the first reception outside. Very warm greeting and immediately asked if we had a reservation. Excellent and classy, looked dapper might we add. Secondly, the young lovely lady at desk in the restaurant. Fabulous greeting and wished us a happy anniversary which was really a sweet touch of class. Very welcoming and friendly. Super service and excellent representation of the brand.
Our main waiter was brilliant and also answered our queries and provided great recommendations. Efficient service all round and we did not wait long to be offered drinks as well as ordering our main courses. The food was excellent. Full of flavour and great portion sizes. Presentation was 10/10.
The Anniversary cake was rounded off a wonderful evening my partner and I truly enjoyed. We are really sorry that we didn't take the names of the staff.
However, it would be rude for me to describe them by appearance. We will return for another special night.
Madison..... magnificent.

Customer service made our whole night. Manager and team were super friendly. We went for my partners birthday and loved it. Portions sizes are good and super filling the view is absolutely beautiful. Very reasonably priced.

Exceptional views, food and customer service. Loved the atmosphere and the vibe. Very lively indeed, without being too overwhelming or chaotic. Special thanks to the receptionist Amanda, who was kind enough to change my dining preferences at the last moment. She was a gem to accommodate some more friends of mine without prior notice at peak hour.

Great setting and atmosphere. Views across the city are beautiful. Gets busy, so do book ahead. Service was excellent great. Tasty food, portions are on the smaller side, so get a side with your mains.

A lovely bar with lots of space and great service. Had one of the best pints of Inches I've ever been poured in London. Amazing food and amazing deals! Definitely the one of the best places to stop for lunch and a beer.
Reena Grace - 4 months ago
Odd place this. The beer is warm most of the time, but you buy it anyway. The food is actually decent for the price. The service is decent, but for the most part people are here for the happy hour. £11.50 for a beer and two ciders in Central London, doesn't get much better.

Really good happy hour deals, the place was so busy outside but staff still managed to serve with a smile which was nice to see. DJ was really good too! Would definitely recommend for a fun after works drinks was quite loud inside but was still good.

I didn't have food so I can't give marks for that.
Service is a 3 for me, only because it's so packed and takes ages to get a drink.
But I'll big up the bar staff because they are flat out serving.
And I hope the management is paying them well because they are doing a fine job.
The atmosphere is good in my
opinion.
It's young, but the youngsters I've seen there have manners.

I came to Core earlier today with my co workers, we were unsure about which bar to go to, we found a very handsome and well dressed member of staff named Ciaran, very charming person, informative and helped us make the best choice for our night, He was cleaning the bar up and getting rid of glasses at an impressive speed, he was completely professional the entire time whilst talking to us and also doing his job, very funny guy, even joked around when my friend asked if he's single, he professionally and gracefully explained that would be inappropriate but to enjoy our night nonetheless, Absolutely blown away by the service we received tonight, will absolutely be coming back again to see this spectacular man 🥳🥳🥳

Amazing! Hadn't been here for years and the food was as good as ever and the service was top notch. Definitely recommend

I recently had dinner here with a few colleagues, and while the food was a bit of a mixed experience, the service left much to be desired. Our waitress seemed uninterested and quite grumpy, which put a damper on the overall atmosphere. That being said, the rest of the experience was fine.
I personally enjoyed the scallop and pasta dishes I ordered—both were delicious and well-prepared. However, my colleagues weren’t as lucky. They found their meals underwhelming and the portions were so large that it became more of a chore to finish than an enjoyable meal. So, while my dishes hit the mark, the inconsistency in both service and food quality left some room for improvement.

Second outdoor dining experience since lockdown easing. So grateful to be able to drink a pint of peroni with some friends. The food is delicious and service excellent, especially with one of the managers who was super friendly. Service speed is also pretty good. Location is in the alley so not ideal but works, sadly it was quite cold as not enough heaters to go round. Also, we asked for a beer from two different waiters for a friend, and although the 5th beer ever came we were charged. Nevertheless, the super friendly manager came to the rescue. A three course with a beer, and a bottle of malbec between 4 came to almost £60, definitely not cheap but probably reasonable with the alcohol. (PS sorry for the bad looking second photo, was too hungry and forgot to take the photo first)

Authentic Italian food tucked away in an atmospheric alleyway in the centre of the city. Yesterday at lunch time this osteria served a daily special menu which is incredibly good value. Some of the reviewers who have taken stars off for a large portion should understand that in Italy you would share dishes. However, even so the daily menu was very generous. The linguine alla vongole, tomato veloute and prawn risotto were all delicious. The wine menu is short but good. The tiramisu was very creamy and though enormous, it was difficult not to polish off! Staff were friendly and efficient.

5/5 Stars. First time visiting Coq d’Argent and have to say i’ll definitely be back! My partner and I dropped in for a Sunday roast and it did not disappoint. The food was lovely, the atmosphere peaceful and the staff were super attentive and on it!
Special thanks to Greg and Sabastian for taking such good care of us, the engaging conversation and for making us feel very welcomed.
Not to mention the apple parfait was the cherry on top to a wonderful meal. 10/10 would visit again soon!

Faultless service, breathtaking views and incredible food at Coq D'Argent. My husband booked this as a surprise for our anniversary and from the moment we took the lift up to the rooftop, everything was perfect! The dining room was beautiful but we chose to sit on the terrace as it was beautiful weather. It was heated and had blankets as well for when it is colder. The crusty mini loaf they brought to start was delicious. I had the signature lamb shank and he had the entrecote, both were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Kayes our waiter was so lovely, friendly and efficient and had us smiling throughout the meal. The drinks terrace is huge with unbelievable views over London's city skyline. Lots of space for drinks and a huge space! Greg the Manager and Lorena were brilliant and run all extremely busy space amazingly for the number of covers!
Extensive wine list (over 700 options!)
Highly recommend but would call ahead and book first to avoid disappointment.
Great for couples, friends and large groups as they have different areas to serve everyone.

This place is in a very prime location, just in front of the Bank of England and has beautiful views from the garden over the city. The food is there amazing, the wine lost is good and the prices are very reasonable for this kind of establishment. Overall, it is a good place to go for a meal or drinks.

I've been here multiple times for both food and drinks. Previously been overall happy with the experience. Unfortunately our most recent visit was disappointing. The quantity and quality of food seems to have dropped. Staff are happy and helpful. Ambiance is good. I would recommend for a drink but not food.

The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, thanks to the incredibly friendly and attentive staff. Service is quick, and the vibe makes it easy to settle in for a great time. Highly recommended

This pub serves the best beer I’ve had in London—rich, flavorful, and always perfectly poured. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with just the right mix of tradition and character. For me, it’s the greatest spot in the city to unwind with a truly exceptional pint.

Absolutely love this place! The Golden Fleece delivers everything you could want from a traditional pub experience right in the center of London. The staff are amazing—super friendly, attentive, and they really make you feel welcome. The food is top-notch too; hearty, flavorful, and served with a smile. Whether you're popping in for a quick pint or settling in for a full meal, this is the place to be. Can’t recommend it enough!

Lovely impromptu late lunch / early dinner at B&L near St Paul’s Cathedral. Service was excellent and attentive, but there were only a couple of other diners in the restaurant so can’t comment on what it’s like when busy.
The food was really nice actually. It came out quickly, was nicely presented, and tasted lovely.
However, I rated it a 4 for food because I felt very short changed on the lobster. For what they charged and what you get, it’s quite disappointing. Although the shell looks a reasonable size, there was very limited lobster meat, hardly any actually!. I don’t think I would order it again. But the prawns and the burgers were really good.

Visited the Bread Street restaurant on Good Friday for dinner before a show at The O2. I'd never had lobster before but really wanted to try it so I figured this would be the place to come!
It's a lovely little place actually, just a stone's throw away from St Paul's Cathedral but quiet and relaxing.
Really friendly and helpful staff here, especially the manager Gaetano who welcomed us in and I got talking to throughout the duration of my visit. You can tell everyone who works here is passionate about good service and being approachable and knowledgeable.
I went for the lobster croquettes as my starter - I could have quite easily had more, they were delicious! - and I went for the half lobster steamed with fries as my main. Really tasty, subtle but paired beautifully with the lemon and garlic butter sauce that it came with.
I also had the non-alcoholic watermelon iced tea cocktail which was beautiful and very refreshing. All in all good food, great service, would come again and would recommend!

The food was so delicious that we ate it all too quickly: burrata with tomatoes, lobster croquettes for starters. The chicken burger and the lobster and beef burger were so delicious that we licked our fingers. 72£ Plus lemonade.

Visit 1- I recently enjoyed a fantastic late lunch at this branch. The Wagyu burger and fries were delicious! The service was excellent and the atmosphere was very pleasant. I also appreciated the thoughtful touch of providing hand washing facilities at the end table. Thank you for a great dining experience!
Updated review here..added photos of recent visit, still all good. Would recommend a visit to this branch.

I want to tell my experience eating at this place. The staff named Julio and Gaetano were very friendly when welcoming our arrival. I went there for my Husband's birthday so when I made an online reservation from the website I made a note if I could please write on paper "Happy Birthday Daddy" and when I arrived I was surprised they gave me a card which usually in other restaurants they didn't even fulfill my request. I really appreciate them. They already prepare the table and put the card in the table before we came
I heard them say, before they came to work they stopped by to buy the card. For some people a card is a small thing but for us it is something that really care about customers. I hope all staff in restaurants have good character like you both. I really recommended this restaurant, the food is very nice the lobster very juicy. My Son like the mac and cheese, lobster and the croquette and because the staff is very kind make us want to come back again. Thank you to Gaetano and Julio.

Super steak restaurant. Lots of choice from reasonable steak frites to some mega dry age cuts from US and Ireland. I had the house rib eye, and we shared a load of sides. Everything was excellent and we had great service too. Definitely a top recommendation, everyone on our table was super happy with their food. Thank you!

Amazing meat with great service. Worth every penny.
For vegans - there are very few vegan options - a single one on the main menu, a salad as starter, a few side dishes, and a desert. I have been to dozens of vegan restaurants, it was surprisingly good.

I wish there is an option to give 10 stars here! High Timber is one of those rare places that gets everything just right. The food was absolutely delicious – every dish felt thoughtfully crafted and full of flavour. The wine list was amazing, especially knowing it’s from their own South African vineyard – I loved the personal touch. The service was warm and attentive without ever feeling overbearing, and the riverside views made the whole evening feel extra special. It’s the kind of spot you leave already planning your next visit. Shout out to Lucas for the wonderful service!

A lovely meal at High Timer where the food is excellent. Personally I had the cod which was very tasty but most in our party had steak which I was told was delicious. We dined outside on a glorious summers evening and watched the full moon pass the Shard. Starters was smoked salmon and the desert was a superb malva pudding. There is a wide choice of food to suit your taste but if you prefer the taste of South Africa you will not be disappointed. The wine cellar has a large selection of wines and the ambience of the restaurant is subtle African. A very nice night out in the heart of the city with superb views along the Thames.

I recently visited Thai Square Mansion House for dinner and had an excellent experience. The food was of exceptional quality and absolutely delicious. While the prices may seem a bit high, I believe that’s expected given its prime location. What really stood out was the service – Ratchel, who attended to us, was incredibly efficient and provided excellent customer care. Overall, a wonderful dining experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for top-notch Thai food in a great location!

We cannot thank Harry and his team enough, they made our evening wedding celebrations absolutely perfect - it was by far our favourite part of the day. As soon as we arrived the team had everything prepared, we had so many guests compliment the venue, team and food. Harry was amazing from our first contact, answering all of my queries pretty much straight away and helped recommend an agency for our DJ which, was the best DJ we’ve seen at a wedding party, albeit slightly bias.
I really could not recommend The Saint enough, we didn’t want the night to end - it truly was the perfect venue for a celebration and I wish we could do it all over again.
Thank you so much Harry and the Team, everything was faultless!!!

Absolutely incredible experience from start to finish! Our server was amazing—so attentive, friendly, and genuinely made us feel welcome throughout the entire meal. The food was out of this world, but I have to give a special shoutout to the spinach&potato burger. Hands down, the BEST vegetarian burger I’ve ever had—flavorful, perfectly cooked, and seriously unforgettable. Every bite was a dream. Overall, an unbelievable dining experience. I recently visited this pub with a comedy night, and it exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere was lively, with a perfect blend of laughter and good vibes. The comedy acts were top-notch, keeping the audience engaged throughout the night. Great food and drinks too...
What truly stood out, though, was the exceptional service provided by Steve. His attentiveness and friendly demeanor elevated the overall experience. He went above and beyond to ensure everyone had a great time. The combination of great comedy and outstanding service makes this pub a must-visit.

I am very pleased I choose to celebrate Fullers 177 years at The Saint last night. The service was good and we really enjoyed the food (see photos). We ordered the open salt beef sourdough (which came with fries) and the chargrilled fennel, courgette, hazelnut & orange salad. The food was wonderful and good value for money. I also enjoyed their red house wine. Looking forward to coming back again soon.
