2 Star Rating Ugh, I hate to give bad reviews but the dining part of Madison really is a place to avoid: airline quality food, tourist prices, pretentious service, and overly loud music. As a rooftop bar it's almost ok, but the one attraction (the sunset view of St Pauls) is also it's curse since it gets ridiculously crowded and the direct low angle sun can be overwhelming.

5 Star Rating Had a really enjoyable lunch at Madison. Service was attentive throughout, and I was lucky enough to get a table with a spectacular view of St Paul’s. I needed to step inside to take a work call, and the team were brilliant in quickly finding me another spot without any fuss. The food was absolutely delicious, and the whole experience felt effortless and welcoming. Would happily return.

5 Star Rating Fantastic experience at Core Bar London. The service we received from Luca was exceptional — genuinely attentive, professional, and full of positive energy. He has a natural way of making guests feel comfortable and valued, which really elevates the whole atmosphere of the bar. It’s clear he takes pride in what he does, and it shows. Great service like this is rare. Highly recommended.

3 Star Rating Now for many years this was my go to lunch spot in the City. Good family run Italian restaurant that was always busy and fun. Went back for lunch today hoping for more of the same. Sadly the old MD is no longer working there and it was largely empty. The staff were still friendly but sadly the food was poor. My starter of calamari was cool when it arrived and the batter was soft with oil oozing out when I cut into it. No seasoning and just 5 thin strips of calamari for £13.50...honestly? I was hoping this was a one off but my old favourite of lobster ravioli arrived under what can only be described as a red gloop with some cherry tomatoes floating in it. The ravioli themselves were small, overcooked and largely tasteless. All in all a real disappointment after really looking forward to my return trip. The staff were fun and friendly but I suspect the chef has changed or I just got unlucky. Shame and I hope they turn it around.

5 Star Rating Had an amazing lunch here with my boyfriend. We have traveled Italy a lot and I have to say this place is the real deal. The food is authentic (and absolutely delicious!) and so is the atmosphere. We had the pleasure of meeting the manager Manuel (who I believe is also Italian and just gives the place an even more authentic feel) and he checked on us and our meal, he was really friendly. We had a great service and experience there and we will definitely be back!

The portions are generous and we were full after 1 main and a side each. Taberna Etrusca is a venue off a quieter side street but it's well worth a visit. Summary: Good atmosphere - good food!

5 Star Rating We had an exceptional experience at Coq d’Argent. From the moment we arrived, everything felt polished, welcoming, and effortlessly elegant. The setting alone is special, but the food truly elevates it. Each dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavour, refined French cooking executed with precision and creativity. The ingredients tasted incredibly fresh, the balance of flavours was spot on, and every course felt thoughtfully crafted. It’s rare to find a menu that is both classic and exciting at the same time. The service was equally outstanding. Attentive without being intrusive, professional yet warm, exactly what you hope for in a restaurant of this calibre. A special thank you to Kayes, who looked after us brilliantly. He was knowledgeable, personable, and genuinely made our evening even more enjoyable. His recommendations were spot on, and he struck the perfect balance between friendly and refined service. A flawless dining experience in every sense. We’ll absolutely be returning and recommending to everyone we know.

The food was amazing and the desserts were fantastic. It was very quiet so the atmosphere was amazing and we even got to take a look at the balcony. The whole team were very friendly and welcoming. 5 Star Rating The problem with my family is that we eat quickly and tend not to take the time to enjoy the atmosphere of a restaurant or the quality of the food. It was my eldest's 15th birthday and, no, we didn't do anything different. But we did point out the fact that the service was swift, very professional, friendly and understanding. We also enjoyed the food immensely, half the party having lobster, whilst the other two had different burgers. All the plates were finished (lobster casings aside) and we actually said how nice the restaurant was.

5 Star Rating My experience at Burger & Lobster was simply unforgettable. I started with a burger that was perfectly cooked, incredibly juicy, and with an ideal balance of flavors and textures. The lobster croquettes were absolutely insane, crispy on the outside, yet rich, creamy, and packed with flavor on the inside. It’s the kind of dish that stays on your mind long after the meal is over. I also got to try the lobster roll, and it was just as impressive. The lobster was succulent, fresh, and full of authentic flavor, exactly what you hope for, but rarely find done this well. And I almost forgot the lobster mac & cheese was incredibly good as well. Rich, comforting, and perfectly indulgent, with generous pieces of lobster that took it to another level. Overall, an outstanding dining experience. If you’re in London, this place is an absolute must-visit!

5 Star Rating This is my favourite Burger & Lobster in London! We've been to many of the locations around the city, but the food and service are just the best at this one. It's less busy on the weekends at this location, which is actually perfect. We brought our family here for our dad's birthday. Our server, Max, was always very friendly and helpful (he was also very patient every time we asked him to help us take photos haha). The manager, Gaetano, also came to check on us often, very thoughtful service, and was very pleasant to speak with. You can really tell when people actually enjoy their customer-facing roles, and it really makes the entire experience so much better. And of course the food - everything was delicious! Highly recommend this specific location, especially for any special occasions :) You'll be taken care of very well!

Helped us charge our phone, took photos, brought out cake - just 10/10! The sides are generous and steak was cooked to perfection. Most our table ordered the ribeye 😍😍 it melted in your mouth! My favourite sides were the creamed spinach and mac n cheese. Only note is wish the sauce was bigger! Highly recommend.

2 Star Rating We took my 15 year old cousin here as he loves steak (cooking and eating) and I've had good experiences in the past at the Mayfair location. Prices are, like many steak places, eye watering. It was a Saturday evening and the restaurant was quiet, even when we were leaving at 8pm. I don't object to paying for good quality food and service but I must say, we got a very mixed bag with this place. On arrival, we were seated in a nice booth at the front.. Our server was helpful and pleasant, we were offered drinks and menus immediately, and shown the customary raw meat selection. Interestingly most of the starters are seafood based (prawn, crab, tuna) which is a problem if you have a slightly picky teenager with you. He had the bread basket to himself (which you're charged for, which in and of itself, I find astonishing). Over 30 years of going to all kinds of higher end restaurants and this is the only time I've been charged for bread other than specialised bread baskets. Last year's teenager birthday meal was The Ivy, the year before The Savoy Grill. On neither occasion did either restaurant charge for the standard, pre-meal bread. In fact, the Savoy provided a second basket for the teenager free of charge. To start I had the prawn tempura and the other guest had the burrata. The burrata was good quality and tasty. The prawns were generous but I found the creamy sauce and batter a sickly combination. I felt in needed more citrus, sharpness. I ordered the sirloin as my main, teen had the Australian Ribeye and the other guest has the fillet. We ordered fries, chips and green beans to accompany alongside 2 x peppercorn sauce and 1 x Stilton. The sirloin was beautifully cooked and very tasty. As was the Fillet. However, the ribeye was underdone and the Stilton sauce tasted only of beef gravy. We sent both back. The ribeye was refunded and the Stilton sauce left unimproved and replaced with a bernaise (at our request) in the end. On taking the ribeye away the manager (? I assume, she never introduced herself) asked if we wanted another. We said no as we were half way through out meals. She did not return to follow up or establish what the outcome of the complaint would be. And she did not apologise. Super disappointing. Our waiter was very good, though, and apologetic. They did provide a Birthday sundae for the teenager but we opted not to order anything further. In the end, the ribeye had been removed from our bill, as had the sauce. Its worth noting that this place adds a 15% service charge. I once again implore all visitors to London restaurants to ask for service charges to be removed. Restaurants that charge £40 for their cheapest steak and £9 for each side order should not be expecting guests to plump up staff wages. We have a living wage in the UK and, whilst I continue to (and encourage others to) tip for very good service, I don't believe in the ever growing trend on foisting service charging on customers. And 15% is ludicrous. A disappointment in the end, especially as it was the teenager who didn't enjoy his steak and it was his birthday. Won't be returning.

5 Star Rating Stopped by for a casual lunch meeting and was treated to a lovely view. Watching the Millennium bridge and the Tate Modern shift from a moody grey to a shimmering silver as the clouds parted was a highlight. We kicked things off with the Biltong—my first time trying it. It’s a good one; much softer and more tender than a typical beef jerky. Good snack if you're settling in for some drinks. The ribeye steak was the kick. Cooked well, incredibly tender, and paired beautifully with the spinach. I went for the peppercorn sauce—it’s the ultimate pairing that never fails. While the coffee was a bit standard, the dessert menu made up for it. A great spot for a business lunch or a scenic date.

The food was absolutely delicious – every dish felt thoughtfully crafted and full of flavour. The wine list was amazing, especially knowing it’s from their own South African vineyard – I loved the personal touch. The service was warm and attentive without ever feeling overbearing, and the riverside views made the whole evening feel extra special. 5 Star Rating A lovely meal at High Timer where the food is excellent. Personally I had the cod which was very tasty but most in our party had steak which I was told was delicious. We dined outside on a glorious summers evening and watched the full moon pass the Shard. Starters was smoked salmon and the desert was a superb malva pudding. There is a wide choice of food to suit your taste but if you prefer the taste of South Africa you will not be disappointed. The wine cellar has a large selection of wines and the ambience of the restaurant is subtle African. A very nice night out in the heart of the city with superb views along the Thames.

5 Star Rating Visited the Saint yesterday. I had been before but not for a long while so I thought I would try again. What a great pub! We was served by a young lady named Lily who was so lovely and friendly. My husband was thrilled to buy a pint for £5 in the city. I tried the margarita slush which was delicious, very strong and also only £5! Cannot recommend enough!

5 Star Rating The Saint is in a great location, just tucked away from busy Cheapside with pretty views of the architecture and quiet, spacious seating outside. A big shout out to the lovely Nathan and the rest of the staff who are always so attentive and always smiling! Nothing is ever a problem! It is definitely my favourite place in the area 🍻

4 Star Rating A nice pub next to the church in a courtyar, so not road fronting. Largee outside area and big inside with separate function areas that can be booked. I didn't have any foods so can't rate that. Very popular, excellent for local staff for after work drinks and events.

5 Star Rating We often pop in after a near-by appointment for a drink or two. The place is modern but comfortably furnished, with attentive staff. We haven't eaten here yet.
