No wonder why this place is so famous. The fish was freshly fried, the skin was still crunchy till the very last bite. The fish was lightly seasoned, which I like, and there are salt and other seasonings on the counter. I also tried the garlic mayo sauce and the tartar sauce, which is recommended by the staff. The tartar sauce was perfect with the fish. The garlic mayo is a bit too strong for the fish imo but great with the chips. Definitely gonna visit again.

This place is INCREDIBLE! My friends and I are international students at the school nearby and wanted to try it on our last day in London. We opted for the takeaway spot vs the restaurant and we were not disappointed! We were so warmly welcomed upon arrival, excellent service, and ya’ll… the fish and chips + octopus are insanely good. Best decision to leave class early to come here, and we all highly recommend this spot!!!

One of the best fish and chips in London. I've been meaning to try this place for years and finally got around to it. The restaurant has two parts. One part a normal fish and chip shop with casual seating and a posh restaurant part which is very ornate and tastefully decorated. I sat in the normal part. Ordered small Cod and Chips and a beef (halal) sausage. The chips were cooked to perfection and you can tell they were fried in clean oil. Cod had a crispy batter and inside the fish was tasty and moist. The beef sausage was also nice and tasted better quality than your usual beef sausage. The posh part of the restaurant was very nice and the menu looked reasonably priced. Will definitely go back.

Me and my friends and i had our early dinner here. Fish and chips were perfectly cooked- it’s not soggy and oily. We also had oysters which were served fresh with olive oil and herbs as garnish which turned out good and it complimented the oysters well. Oysters happy hour are on mondays- wednesday 2-5pm free if you order mains and drinks. We were served by oleg and natalia- they were lovely and accommodating. At first oleg and his team thought they ran out of oysters and they were offering free drinks to which it’s above and beyond customer service- but turned out they had enough oysters for us. Thank you! We had a lovely dining experience

As a huge fan of fish and chips, this place had to have been some of the best I’ve ever had. The peas were extremely flavorful and the in-house tartar sauce was excellent. Would certainly recommend.

We visited Dinings many times before but we haven’t been for a while as we don’t live in London. We visited yesterday for my birthday and I have to say the standard and quality of the food are still exceptional. Each dish is refined and prepared with great care. The service was warm and attentive. Perfect for a special lunch/dinner or a foodie adventure.

Loved the meal. Fabulous food without the snobbery. The wait staff were fabulous, particularly Huw (sorry, not sure of spelling), super friendly and informative. Celebrated a dear friend becoming cancer free and they treated us like we were the only people there. Looking forward to coming back asap! The fatty tuna and wagyu were amaaazing, as was the lobster but all 3 desserts smashed the rest of the meal out of the ballpark. 10/10 team

The food here is solid… but pricey. That being said, we had a great dinner. The staff warmly welcomed us as we entered … and we were ushered downstairs to what feels like an exclusive dining enclave. The double crab roll was excellent. Also, the truffle eel was special. Everything we ate tasted good . The service is quick… so if you want to dine and take your time… order slowly because they will have you in and out in no time if you don’t take a pause between orders.

We recently visited this restaurant and was pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. The atmosphere was lovely, with pleasant music creating a relaxed vibe. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. But the highlight for me was the food—especially the aubergine. I’m usually not a fan, but this time I ate every bite. It was so delicious and perfectly prepared!

After watching a YouTube video about this restaurant on Friday, I had the chance to visit today while I was in the area to buy a violin. What a wonderful decision! The dim sum was authentic and beautifully prepared, offering rich flavors and traditional quality. The dining atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming, and the convenient car park right next door made the visit even easier. The staff were warm and attentive, making me feel right at home. The food was so delicious that I couldn't resist ordering takeaway — everything was thoughtfully packed and still warm when I got back to Cambridge. A delightful experience; I’ll definitely return!

Phoenix Palace is the most authentic and best Chinese restaurant I’ve found in London. I’ve been coming here for years, and even the locals love it. The roast duck, BBQ pork, and dim sum are always amazing—full of flavor and freshness. The staff are friendly, service is fast, and the atmosphere feels like home. Such a lovely welcome, a great traditional restaurant and delicious food. I have been craving roasted Cantonese duck (I live in Devon and I can’t seem to find anywhere that does it like you get it in London), so looked up on Google and found this gem! Delicious! Highly recommended x

It’s a large Chinese restaurant that usually doesn’t require reservations or have any waiting time except during special seasons, so I visit only occasionally. I came back after 10 months, and while the quality of the ingredients seems the same, the food was far too salty. Last time, I ordered the “Beef with Black Bean Sauce” (B4), and it was so salty that I could barely eat it. This time, the scallop dish, prawn dish, and aubergine dish were all extremely salty too. Apart from that, there isn’t much to complain about. Recommended dishes include the crab or lobster with black bean sauce and added rice noodles, the aubergine with pork, and the crispy duck. The restaurant isn’t particularly expensive — even for four adults, the total (excluding wine) usually doesn’t exceed £200. As for the dim sum, I’m quite sure it’s pre-made, so I normally don’t order it. Just for your reference. Oh, and at the entrance, there are many photos of celebrities who have visited, and quite a few of them are familiar faces — but I’ve never actually seen any of them there myself.

Sam totally took care of us! We were heading out of town in the mid morning before they officially served lunch, but Sam and the chef were willing to make us fish and chips as a sendoff. They were delicious, the food was great, the service is amazing, and such a fun vibe to have a pub right around the corner from where we stayed. We’ll be back!

Fab pub. Great service. We came as a group of 9 and fantastic time had by all. Shout out to Sam who was great in sorting out table for us and making sure we had a great view of football on large screen. Ordered food, great menu choice age very tasty. Drinks reasonably priced. Can’t thank the staff enough for their hospitality. Would thoroughly recommend this place for parties large or small.

Really lovely place! The atrium with the palm trees is stunning and makes it feel very special. Food was tasty, but the best part was the staff – super friendly and attentive, they really made the experience. The live piano in the background was a nice touch too. Great spot for a special occasion.

The Sports Bar & Grill in Marylebone has become our go-to spot for Napoli matches, and we couldn’t be happier. The staff always set us up in one of their great downstairs spaces — the main room is spacious and packed with screens, perfect for big games, while the smaller Heineken room is charming with its football-pitch floor and cosy vibe. It’s a genuinely welcoming place for fans, with a great atmosphere every time. Highly recommended.

Super friendly and accommodating service. We came here to watch an El Classico game and they gave us a booth seat in the corner so we had space for our bags. We ate a burger and a wrap, food was quick and decent.

Stopped in for some food before getting the train back north. I had a BBQ burger which was massive and very tasty. The rest of the party had a chicken pizza which had nice chunks of chicken on a light and fluffy pizza base and the avocado salad which came with a vinegarette dressing.

A double beef burger and fries, plus a drink, only costs £8 if ordered before 4pm Monday to Friday. The quality is very good, the quantity is sufficient and very delicious. This one is worth trying. This bar may become your money-saving restaurant, which is much better value than McDonald's. Look around to see if there is a Sports Bar & Grill, a chain of bars.

A delicious cocktail with pomegranate from a menu just released that day! The owner was lovely and apparently makes the drink recipes herself, and staff was so lovely. I got the winter breeze before which was also good, but the crimson __ was actually amazing.

Lovely often overlooked pub. THURSDAY 11 SECEMBER BEWARE "event nights". Different set of staff who were either unaware or didn't care about the 2 women screaming at the food table. Several customers just left (like my friend and myself). Special event staff in dire need of proper training both for bar work and crowd control. One week earlier.... non event evening. Staff are welcoming and friendly. Nice selection of spirits. Didn't eat so can't comment on the food. Quiet, cosy and very comfortable seating. Lots of armchairs to relax in. Just down the side road where the seashell fish n chips is. Don't confuse it with the bar opposite the seashell. People always standing outside there. No, this is for those of us who like to converse and have a quiet drink.

Nestled away in Marylebone, The Persévérance is a true hidden gem. As soon as you step inside, you're embraced by the bar's wonderful taste for simplicity. But the highlight is ofc the food, quite a different menu from what you would see at the neighbouring pubs. Lot’s of fish and seafood options 👀 at a decent price. Definitely recommend the place

Thank You for the outstanding service provided. It really helped in making the day perfect and to run smoothly. Thank you to all the staff especially James and Vicky. When planning my wedding, I didn’t really consider the idea of a pub. However The Harcourt really is a hidden gem and would make an excellent choice for future couples. The interior is beautiful, warm and cosy. I had taken the white room. They are very experienced in handling events from what I observed first off all they were helpful in advising me about things to consider for the reception and offered me choices on how I wanted it decorated. They delivered my vision beautifully down to the cutlery, the best feeling was not having to think about the venue and the jobs to be done, they handled everything, the food was on time the guests were made comfortable and the customer service really was outstanding. My photos were absolutely beautiful at The Harcourt and my guests had an amazing time.

Gastropub serving French style food. I enjoyed the seafood and I should have stuck to fish, but its not often I see rabbit on the menu. It was ok... Tastes like chicken? I did feel a bit weird eating it and had to keep telling myself meat is meat. All dishes had good sauce though. Wheelchair access ❌ Small step getting in and no toilets on the ground floor. I did know beforehand though so was prepared.

My daughter/son-in-law booked this for their wedding reception. Total 50 guests. Really impressive. Great service, nice food, good atmosphere. I would heartily recommend this for anyone looking for a venue for special occasions. We used the Garden room downstairs. The Harcourt recommended a 2 man band for the evening entertainment who were absolutely amazing. My daughter/son-in-law really impressed also. If I had to be picky I would say I wouldn’t have wanted to fit more than 50 in the space (it was cosy). We had the option to come upstairs to use the bar area if you wanted to speak to others in a quieter environment. A huge thumbs up from us to the Harcourt. Thankyou for making this such a special day.

This is always our first port of call when we come into London (our train terminates at Marylebone). The sushi is really delicious and the service excellent and quick. The kids love the katsu curry and to be fair all the hot food looks great but we haven’t tried any other.

I used to come here very often for lunch, and I find the sushi to be very fresh and of good quality for the price. They also have a loyalty card after 10 stamps, you get one free. The staff are very friendly, and Nasso in particular is always kind and helpful! Thank you!

Distinctly below average. We stopped here to get a variety of sushi to take home for dinner… what was to have been a treat was a real disappointment… bland, uninspiring and rather tasteless. There are so many better places to go. Won’t be back.

I almost didnt get anything from here because the Google rating was so low and the photos of the food looked so poor on their menu. But it was 8pm, I was on my way to catch a train, starving and just decided to get something anyway because the staff was so friendly. So happy I did! I was really impressed by the miso aubergine, beautifully cooked and not too sweet. I’ve had so many miso aubergines (I’m vegan) and this one was really delicious! I was not expecting a lot, but the flavour and texture was perfect and the rice and edamame beans with roasted peppers was a lovely compliment. Kept me full on my journey and no bad aftertastes, seemed very fresh and took 10 min to prepare but I didn’t mind waiting for it. Highly recommend this place. Nice staff, decent vegan food options, I just wouldn’t eat inside because the table / decor / lighting is a bit grimy.

I really enjoyed the food! We ordered tom yum noodle soup, curry, fried rice, and another soup, and every dish was excellent. We couldn’t help but finish everything, and the service was very pleasant. I’ll definitely be visiting again :)

Authentic Thai food. Friendly and attentive services. Even without reservation, staff took initiative to switch us from table next to entrance to a more comfortable seating inside the restaurant. Food we had was so on point. Great flavours from the pork rib (tender!) noodle soup and the meat balls are one of the best I have had. It’s done so right! Everything hits the sweet spot. Pad Thai was tangy and has a citrus note. Lovely experience.
