Review by @yarafoodie on IG. Absolutely loved our experience here. The seafood tasted incredibly fresh and the portions were huge from start to finish. We started with the king prawns in lemon butter and the calamari, which was easily one of the biggest calamari portions I’ve had in London and tasted so fresh.
For mains, the fried cod with halloumi fries was amazing. The cod was perfectly crispy on the outside while still flaky and soft inside, and again the portion size was massive. The whole sea bass was cooked perfectly too, and was beautifully presented. The buttery baby potatoes on the side went well with everything.
Desserts were just as good. The homemade apple pie was served warm with ice cream and tasted really fresh, and the chocolate fondant had the perfect gooey centre paired with pistachio ice cream.
Great food, generous portions, fresh seafood and really good atmosphere. Would definitely come back.

Was looking for authentic fish and chips .Ordered a lot! COD fish , with fries, haddock, scampi and fried calamari.
COD was battered and fried golden crispy!
Chips were soggy .
Haddock was pretty tasteless. I got spicy mayo and tartare sauce to go with .
Wanted more seasoning to the seafood actually .

Really great food, fresh oyster, perfectly cooked seafood, and crispy fish and chips. My favourite was the mussels and sweet potato chips, freshly deep fried and super hot and crispy! Also make sure to try their chocolate foundant! The perfect dessert to end the meal with!

We went to Seashell of Lisson Grove one weekday evening and tried a selection of dishes from their menu—from starters all the way to dessert.
We began with bruschetta, grilled prawns (so good!) and whitebait—the prawns were definitely the standout for me, while the whitebait was a little too fishy for my taste.
For mains, we went classic with their traditional cod & chips and also tried the grilled Dover sole with baby potatoes. The fish & chips completely stole the show. Fresh, flaky, meaty fish with an ultra-crispy batter—easily the highlight of the meal.
We finished with a rich chocolate fondant paired with what tasted like pistachio (or almond!) ice cream
The space itself is beautiful, service from Valeria & Jack was exceptional, and I love that they also offer a takeaway option if you’re on the go.
If you visit—trust me, go for the fish & chips. You won’t regret it.

Had a really enjoyable meal at The Seashell of Lisson Grove in Marylebone. The restaurant has a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and attentive from the moment we arrived.
I ordered the grilled cod with salad and grilled vegetables, and it was excellent. The cod was perfectly cooked, tender and flaky, with a clean fresh flavour that showed the quality of the fish. The portion was generous and nicely presented. The salad was fresh and crisp, providing a light balance to the dish, while the grilled vegetables were cooked just right, still slightly firm with a nice smoky flavour.
You can really tell that the restaurant focuses on fresh seafood and good quality ingredients, which is something many reviewers also highlight about this place. The fish is known for being fresh and well prepared, with many diners praising the flavour and portion sizes.
Overall it was a very satisfying meal. If you are in Marylebone and looking for a reliable seafood restaurant with great fish dishes, this place is definitely worth visiting. I would happily return to try more from the menu.

The food was excellent. The chips were perfectly cooked, crispy, and full of flavour. The aubergine dish was outstanding, but the truffle ice cream was the highlight of the meal—absolutely delicious and a perfect way to finish. We ordered quite a lot for two but worth it.
The staff were attentive, welcoming, and provided great service throughout, making sure we were well looked after.
The only downside was the cleanliness of the toilets. They could have been maintained to a much higher standard, which would have made the overall dining experience even better.

Absolute gem of a place!! We had mainly Sashimi and the miso black cod - the highlight was the Flounder with Yuzu and pickled Daikon which was on their daily board. We had the O-toro sashimi as well which was excellent. I love how clean everything tasted. The crispy fried sticky rice (starter) was not oily yet crispy and a perfect accompaniment to the sake.
Service (Kae) was really thoughtful and friendly. She paid attention to how we would like to pair our order and have some really thoughtful suggestions .
I thought the ambience could be nicer / more welcoming but we were honestly so engrossed with our meal it wasn’t a huge issue.

Lets's start with the must haves, the spicy akame roll and the nasu miso aubergine are very delicious! The toro taku is also delicious. The little gem salad is nice and refreshing and so is the lobster chip. My friend ended her meal with the black sesame mochi and loved it.
As for the other dishes, although my friend liked the scallop roll, I personally didn't it tasted too fried. The cod was good but I've had better elsewhere, especially in terms of cooking method/technique. Additionally, although the salmon zuke was highly recommended by the server (who was super nice) we both didn't like it, it majorly lacked flavor.
In terms of service the staff are all welcoming and friendly. But the atmosphere and seating is too humble and underwhelming. I expected way better especially given the prices charged for the meal. I liked some of the dishes but I don't know if I would return given how weirldy cramped and underwhelming the space is.

Best Japanese in London and one of my favorites in the world. Insane, unique and authentic, truly special. Presentation and creativity behind the dish is done differently than others, such a gem. Loved how the Tamago was a soufflé, the sushi is dressed, the dishes are inventive yet satisfying. Portions are great and you don’t have the post japanese still hungry feeling. 🤩

I initially went into Dinings for a quick dinner, but little did I know what an extraordinary experience I was in for. The cuisine was simple and beautifully presented, more an art piece than food. Each dish was explained with such knowledge and passion which was only a small factor to the amazing service Dinings provided. The intimate space of the restaurant created a welcoming atmosphere and I strongly suggest that anyone who comes across this review should visit. It is a once in a lifetime experience of authentic japanese cuisine.

Went for Lunar New Year and it was exceptional. The lion dance was a great experience and really fun! The restaurant is also beautiful, you really feel like you transported to China.
We ordered the peking duck pancakes and dim sum basket for starters which were very flavourful. For mains we had Singapore noodles, monkfish, and Szechuan prawns, again was excellent and flavourful. Food all arrived at a good time.
Staff were helpful and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed.
Would recommend to any one looking for an authentic Chinese cuisine experience.

After watching a YouTube video about this restaurant on Friday, I had the chance to visit today while I was in the area to buy a violin. What a wonderful decision! The dim sum was authentic and beautifully prepared, offering rich flavors and traditional quality. The dining atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming, and the convenient car park right next door made the visit even easier. The staff were warm and attentive, making me feel right at home. The food was so delicious that I couldn't resist ordering takeaway — everything was thoughtfully packed and still warm when I got back to Cambridge. A delightful experience; I’ll definitely return!

Such a lovely welcome, a great traditional restaurant and delicious food. I have been craving roasted Cantonese duck (I live in Devon and I can’t seem to find anywhere that does it like you get it in London), so looked up on Google and found this gem! Delicious! Highly recommended x

It’s a large Chinese restaurant that usually doesn’t require reservations or have any waiting time except during special seasons, so I visit only occasionally. I came back after 10 months, and while the quality of the ingredients seems the same, the food was far too salty.
Last time, I ordered the “Beef with Black Bean Sauce” (B4), and it was so salty that I could barely eat it. This time, the scallop dish, prawn dish, and aubergine dish were all extremely salty too.
Apart from that, there isn’t much to complain about.
Recommended dishes include the crab or lobster with black bean sauce and added rice noodles, the aubergine with pork, and the crispy duck. The restaurant isn’t particularly expensive — even for four adults, the total (excluding wine) usually doesn’t exceed £200.
As for the dim sum, I’m quite sure it’s pre-made, so I normally don’t order it. Just for your reference.
Oh, and at the entrance, there are many photos of celebrities who have visited, and quite a few of them are familiar faces — but I’ve never actually seen any of them there myself.

Such a great pub choice. I ordered one of the appetizer dishes as my entree honestly it was so filling and absolutely delicious. The crunchy chicken paired with whatever sauce they put on top was chef’s kiss — everything about it was so good. My friend loved the fish & chips, and another friend got the burger and said it was okay. Great atmosphere, good drinks, and definitely worth stopping by!

Had Sunday roast with half chicken on Easter Sunday. Lovely and filling. Pricing is better than other Greene King's pubs right in city centre. Best to check its homepage to avoid the crowd when there is live broadcast of football matches.

Good food (Sunday roast!) and cozy atmosphere. Went here alone and had a great experience. The staff was sweet and helpful! I believe it’s part of a chain but it honestly didn’t feel like it (in the most positive way). Surely a recommendation if looking for a nice pub experience!

Spoilt for choice! A variety of exceptional quality food ranging from English breakfast, Continental breakfast, American breakfast and much, much more! There was a selection of fresh fruits, refillable hot and/or cold beverage too. We had a truly delightful, scrumptious breakfast to celebrate my daughter's birthday. In addition, the staff were courteous and friendly especially Eufelia and Bella who provided an excellent, top-tier service. They were very attentive, efficient and polite. They were so kind to give a fresh fruits tart with a happy birthday chocolate and a candle for my daughter to blow. Thank you Eufelia and Bella for making us feel special and well-cared for from arrival to departure.

Had my birthday dinner at the winter garden restaurant.. chose this place specifically for their beef wellington and it did not disappoint! The softest and most tender chuck of meat. The rest of the food was also magnificent - def recommend trying the butter scotched lobster. Chefs kiss. As for the ambience and atmosphere, it is breathtaking and feels like i am on a tropical island. Just beautiful. Huge thank you to Rafaela and John for their friendly and kind service - you were wonderful!

I had the most delightful breakfast in the wintergarden today. What stood out was the service - from the two fantastic people (Suzana and Rodika) who looked after us so well, to every person we interacted with. So friendly and welcoming, so attentive - they all genuinely wanted us to have a lovely experience. If you want really special breakfast (and presumably other meals) I would highly recommend coming here. I think I will try their afternoon tea next time!
Thank you Suzana and Rodika!

The Sports Bar & Grill in Marylebone has become our go-to spot for Napoli matches, and we couldn’t be happier. The staff always set us up in one of their great downstairs spaces — the main room is spacious and packed with screens, perfect for big games, while the smaller Heineken room is charming with its football-pitch floor and cosy vibe. It’s a genuinely welcoming place for fans, with a great atmosphere every time. Highly recommended.

I'm a regular at Marylebone Station, but this was my first time eating here. I'm usually quite cynical about pub food, but I'm compelled to leave a review after enjoying what was a genuinely delicious Buffalo Chicken Burger. It was full of flavour, perfectly cooked, and exceeded my expectations. It was also decently priced at around £14.00. Perfect after a long train journey. I will be back here to eat again.

I must say I very rarely, if ever, leave reviews but I couldn’t help myself after tonight. First England game of the World Cup and our experience couldn’t have been better. From being met at the door, shown to our table and the constant attention for when we wanted food / drinks. Genuinely I don’t think it could have been better. Will definitely be back

I had the best experience with The Perseverance marylebone!! I chose this place to throw a small surprise birthday get together for my partner's 50th and Maya could not have been more helpful, warm , understanding and accommodating! She was super responsive from the very first query and patiently stayed in touch with over the next few weeks and all the uncertainty i threw her way! I am so happy i chose them! It went VERY WELL! all our friends had a great time. The place is super pretty , very quaint, cute, well done in a part period/part bohemian ..like a cosy english living room with a farmhouse edge! The drinks were very good, i enjoyed my spicy Mango inferno and the food was great too! We will surely be back here! we cannot thank Maya & Ann enough!!

Enjoyed our small lunch here and was impressed with how big the pub is inside, with several floors, so much larger than it looks from outside. Superb atmosphere! But the highlight is ofc the food, quite a different menu from what you would see at the neighbouring pubs. Lot’s of fish and seafood options 👀 at a decent price. Definitely recommend the place

Thank You for the outstanding service provided.
It really helped in making the day perfect and to run smoothly.
Thank you to all the staff especially James and Vicky.
When planning my wedding, I didn’t really consider the idea of a pub.
However The Harcourt really is a hidden gem and would make an excellent choice for future couples.
The interior is beautiful, warm and cosy. I had taken the white room.
They are very experienced in handling events from what I observed first off all they were helpful in advising me about things to consider for the reception and offered me choices on how I wanted it decorated.
They delivered my vision beautifully down to the cutlery, the best feeling was not having to think about the venue and the jobs to be done, they handled everything, the food was on time the guests were made comfortable and the customer service really was outstanding.
My photos were absolutely beautiful at The Harcourt and my guests had an amazing time.

Gastropub serving French style food. I enjoyed the seafood and I should have stuck to fish, but its not often I see rabbit on the menu. It was ok... Tastes like chicken? I did feel a bit weird eating it and had to keep telling myself meat is meat. All dishes had good sauce though.
Wheelchair access ❌ Small step getting in and no toilets on the ground floor. I did know beforehand though so was prepared.

My daughter/son-in-law booked this for their wedding reception. Total 50 guests. Really impressive. Great service, nice food, good atmosphere. I would heartily recommend this for anyone looking for a venue for special occasions. We used the Garden room downstairs. The Harcourt recommended a 2 man band for the evening entertainment who were absolutely amazing. My daughter/son-in-law really impressed also. If I had to be picky I would say I wouldn’t have wanted to fit more than 50 in the space (it was cosy). We had the option to come upstairs to use the bar area if you wanted to speak to others in a quieter environment. A huge thumbs up from us to the Harcourt. Thankyou for making this such a special day.

I almost didnt get anything from here because the Google rating was so low and the photos of the food looked so poor on their menu. But it was 8pm, I was on my way to catch a train, starving and just decided to get something anyway because the staff was so friendly.
So happy I did! I was really impressed by the miso aubergine, beautifully cooked and not too sweet. I’ve had so many miso aubergines (I’m vegan) and this one was really delicious! I was not expecting a lot, but the flavour and texture was perfect and the rice and edamame beans with roasted peppers was a lovely compliment.
Kept me full on my journey and no bad aftertastes, seemed very fresh and took 10 min to prepare but I didn’t mind waiting for it.
Highly recommend this place. Nice staff, decent vegan food options, I just wouldn’t eat inside because the table / decor / lighting is a bit grimy.

This wasn’t my first time trying food from this restaurant, and every time the food has been absolutely delicious. The flavors are truly authentic Thai taste. All of the staff are so lovely, especially Bank, who provided excellent service and always understood exactly what I needed as a foreign customer.
Today, I ordered takeaway to enjoy at home, and every dish was packed generously and tasted just as amazing as dining at the restaurant. It saved me time and was definitely worth it.
