Hands down the best fish and chips in London, both fried and grilled. Immaculate service and the atmosphere is just amazing. Totally blown away! Can’t believe I’d say this is the best meal during my visit to London this time.

We had an excellent family meal here. The IPA beers were good with a nice hoppy flavour. The sparkling water with a lemon wedge was exactly what I needed and my daughter enjoyed gre lemonade. We used The London Pass to get a free fish and chips/scampi and chips each, and they were so good. Not super greasy or batter-y, the batter was crispy and light. The crumbed scampi was great too and paired really well with the tartare sauce. We added a side of grilled veggies, a side of mushy peas and a side of curry sauce. The curry sauce did it for me and my eldest... We were in heaven. The desserts were also beautiful. The cheesecake was my favourite, but the sticky toffee pudding and chocolate fondant lava cake were also delicious. The amaretto/pistachio ice cream with the chocolate dessert as well as the creamy vanilla with the toffee one were delicious. I had a great cup of tea here too to finish off the night. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The chef even came and said hello and we could tell he cares about the quality of the food - and the proof is in the pudding! Highly recommend!

I had such a fantastic day at Seashell! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt vibrant yet cozy-the perfect mix for a relaxed but special dinner. The seafood was incredibly fresh and beautifully cooked. The fish was crispy, golden, and full of flavour, and every dish tasted like real quality and care went into it. But what truly made the experience unforgettable was our waiter, Jacek. He was attentive, professional, and genuinely warm. His recommendations were spot on, and he made us feel completely welcome and looked after throughout the whole evening. Service like that really makes a difference! Highly recommend Seashell-amazing food, lovely atmosphere, and outstanding service. We’ll definitely be back!

No wonder why this place is so famous. The fish was freshly fried, the skin was still crunchy till the very last bite. The fish was lightly seasoned, which I like, and there are salt and other seasonings on the counter. I also tried the garlic mayo sauce and the tartar sauce, which is recommended by the staff. The tartar sauce was perfect with the fish. The garlic mayo is a bit too strong for the fish imo but great with the chips. Definitely gonna visit again.

This place is INCREDIBLE! My friends and I are international students at the school nearby and wanted to try it on our last day in London. We opted for the takeaway spot vs the restaurant and we were not disappointed! We were so warmly welcomed upon arrival, excellent service, and ya’ll… the fish and chips + octopus are insanely good. Best decision to leave class early to come here, and we all highly recommend this spot!!!

We visited Dinings many times before but we haven’t been for a while as we don’t live in London. We visited yesterday for my birthday and I have to say the standard and quality of the food are still exceptional. Each dish is refined and prepared with great care. The service was warm and attentive. Perfect for a special lunch/dinner or a foodie adventure.

The food here is solid… but pricey. That being said, we had a great dinner. The staff warmly welcomed us as we entered … and we were ushered downstairs to what feels like an exclusive dining enclave. The double crab roll was excellent. Also, the truffle eel was special. Everything we ate tasted good . The service is quick… so if you want to dine and take your time… order slowly because they will have you in and out in no time if you don’t take a pause between orders.

We recently visited this restaurant and was pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. The atmosphere was lovely, with pleasant music creating a relaxed vibe. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. But the highlight for me was the food—especially the aubergine. I’m usually not a fan, but this time I ate every bite. It was so delicious and perfectly prepared!

Loved the meal. Fabulous food without the snobbery. The wait staff were fabulous, particularly Huw (sorry, not sure of spelling), super friendly and informative. Celebrated a dear friend becoming cancer free and they treated us like we were the only people there. Looking forward to coming back asap! The fatty tuna and wagyu were amaaazing, as was the lobster but all 3 desserts smashed the rest of the meal out of the ballpark. 10/10 team

Went for Lunar New Year and it was exceptional. The lion dance was a great experience and really fun! The restaurant is also beautiful, you really feel like you transported to China. We ordered the peking duck pancakes and dim sum basket for starters which were very flavourful. For mains we had Singapore noodles, monkfish, and Szechuan prawns, again was excellent and flavourful. Food all arrived at a good time. Staff were helpful and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. Would recommend to any one looking for an authentic Chinese cuisine experience.

Phoenix Palace is the most authentic and best Chinese restaurant I’ve found in London. I’ve been coming here for years, and even the locals love it. The roast duck, BBQ pork, and dim sum are always amazing—full of flavor and freshness. The staff are friendly, service is fast, and the atmosphere feels like home. I come here with my British friends twice a week—it’s truly one of the most popular and best restaurants in London.

After watching a YouTube video about this restaurant on Friday, I had the chance to visit today while I was in the area to buy a violin. What a wonderful decision! The dim sum was authentic and beautifully prepared, offering rich flavors and traditional quality. The dining atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming, and the convenient car park right next door made the visit even easier. The staff were warm and attentive, making me feel right at home. The food was so delicious that I couldn't resist ordering takeaway — everything was thoughtfully packed and still warm when I got back to Cambridge. A delightful experience; I’ll definitely return!

I had dinner with my friends there yesterday and really enjoyed it. The place has a nice, relaxed vibe, and the staff were friendly and quick. The food tasted fresh and properly done, especially the roasted duck and curry lamb. A great spot for Cantonese food.

Really good lunch! Staff were very friendly. We had the squid, cod and chicken on the tapas menu - and the mac and cheese with bacon. All of it was brilliant, even the side salad. Will definitely be visiting again.

Ordered a pint and fish and chips. I was able to drink my pint outside while I waited for my food. Their fish and chips are absolutely the best! Crunchiest batter and well salted chips! I ordered a side of curry sauce and it was a perfect addition!

Sam totally took care of us! We were heading out of town in the mid morning before they officially served lunch, but Sam and the chef were willing to make us fish and chips as a sendoff. They were delicious, the food was great, the service is amazing, and such a fun vibe to have a pub right around the corner from where we stayed. We’ll be back!

The Alsop serves good with good taste. The menu is varied. The atmosphere for me is vibrant and positive, and I enjoy it. This is the go to pub for test cricket.

Spoilt for choice! A variety of exceptional quality food ranging from English breakfast, Continental breakfast, American breakfast and much, much more! There was a selection of fresh fruits, refillable hot and/or cold beverage too. We had a truly delightful, scrumptious breakfast to celebrate my daughter's birthday. In addition, the staff were courteous and friendly especially Eufelia and Bella who provided an excellent, top-tier service. They were very attentive, efficient and polite. They were so kind to give a fresh fruits tart with a happy birthday chocolate and a candle for my daughter to blow. Thank you Eufelia and Bella for making us feel special and well-cared for from arrival to departure.

Really lovely place! The atrium with the palm trees is stunning and makes it feel very special. Food was tasty, but the best part was the staff – super friendly and attentive, they really made the experience. The live piano in the background was a nice touch too. Great spot for a special occasion.

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here and had an amazing time. Food was amazing and prepared quickly. We recommend the Set Menu for a wide range of dishes but the A La Carte is always good too.

The Sports Bar & Grill in Marylebone has become our go-to spot for Napoli matches, and we couldn’t be happier. The staff always set us up in one of their great downstairs spaces — the main room is spacious and packed with screens, perfect for big games, while the smaller Heineken room is charming with its football-pitch floor and cosy vibe. It’s a genuinely welcoming place for fans, with a great atmosphere every time. Highly recommended.

Super friendly and accommodating service. We came here to watch an El Classico game and they gave us a booth seat in the corner so we had space for our bags. We ate a burger and a wrap, food was quick and decent.

Stopped in for some food before getting the train back north. I had a BBQ burger which was massive and very tasty. The rest of the party had a chicken pizza which had nice chunks of chicken on a light and fluffy pizza base and the avocado salad which came with a vinegarette dressing.

A double beef burger and fries, plus a drink, only costs £8 if ordered before 4pm Monday to Friday. The quality is very good, the quantity is sufficient and very delicious. This one is worth trying. This bar may become your money-saving restaurant, which is much better value than McDonald's. Look around to see if there is a Sports Bar & Grill, a chain of bars.

It is a beautiful bar with a very cosy and chic atmosphere, the flowers are a wonderful touch. The staff were very kind, welcoming and prompt. We tried their wine and were pleasantly surprised by how varied and extensive the wine list was. Next time we will come to try their cocktails as we’ve heard that they are absolutely amazing.

Lovely often overlooked pub. THURSDAY 11 SECEMBER BEWARE "event nights". Different set of staff who were either unaware or didn't care about the 2 women screaming at the food table. Several customers just left (like my friend and myself). Special event staff in dire need of proper training both for bar work and crowd control. One week earlier.... non event evening. Staff are welcoming and friendly. Nice selection of spirits. Didn't eat so can't comment on the food. Quiet, cosy and very comfortable seating. Lots of armchairs to relax in. Just down the side road where the seashell fish n chips is. Don't confuse it with the bar opposite the seashell. People always standing outside there. No, this is for those of us who like to converse and have a quiet drink.

Nestled away in Marylebone, The Persévérance is a true hidden gem. As soon as you step inside, you're embraced by the bar's wonderful taste for simplicity. The beautiful, cozy interiors and homey feeling foster a welcoming atmosphere. We felt right at home thanks to the warm welcome from the attentive staff. A delicious cocktail with pomegranate from a menu just released that day! The owner was lovely and apparently makes the drink recipes herself, and staff was so lovely. I got the winter breeze before which was also good, but the crimson __ was actually amazing.

Enjoyed our small lunch here and was impressed with how big the pub is inside, with several floors, so much larger than it looks from outside. Superb atmosphere! But the highlight is ofc the food, quite a different menu from what you would see at the neighbouring pubs. Lot’s of fish and seafood options 👀 at a decent price. Definitely recommend the place

Thank You for the outstanding service provided. It really helped in making the day perfect and to run smoothly. Thank you to all the staff especially James and Vicky. When planning my wedding, I didn’t really consider the idea of a pub. However The Harcourt really is a hidden gem and would make an excellent choice for future couples. The interior is beautiful, warm and cosy. I had taken the white room. They are very experienced in handling events from what I observed first off all they were helpful in advising me about things to consider for the reception and offered me choices on how I wanted it decorated. They delivered my vision beautifully down to the cutlery, the best feeling was not having to think about the venue and the jobs to be done, they handled everything, the food was on time the guests were made comfortable and the customer service really was outstanding. My photos were absolutely beautiful at The Harcourt and my guests had an amazing time.

Gastropub serving French style food. I enjoyed the seafood and I should have stuck to fish, but its not often I see rabbit on the menu. It was ok... Tastes like chicken? I did feel a bit weird eating it and had to keep telling myself meat is meat. All dishes had good sauce though. Wheelchair access ❌ Small step getting in and no toilets on the ground floor. I did know beforehand though so was prepared.

My daughter/son-in-law booked this for their wedding reception. Total 50 guests. Really impressive. Great service, nice food, good atmosphere. I would heartily recommend this for anyone looking for a venue for special occasions. We used the Garden room downstairs. The Harcourt recommended a 2 man band for the evening entertainment who were absolutely amazing. My daughter/son-in-law really impressed also. If I had to be picky I would say I wouldn’t have wanted to fit more than 50 in the space (it was cosy). We had the option to come upstairs to use the bar area if you wanted to speak to others in a quieter environment. A huge thumbs up from us to the Harcourt. Thankyou for making this such a special day.

This is always our first port of call when we come into London (our train terminates at Marylebone). The sushi is really delicious and the service excellent and quick. The kids love the katsu curry and to be fair all the hot food looks great but we haven’t tried any other.

Definitely the best sushi in the area: very fresh and tasty. I had been coming here regularly for more than a year and never been disappointed. Staff very polite and friendly. Very reccomend.

Distinctly below average. We stopped here to get a variety of sushi to take home for dinner… what was to have been a treat was a real disappointment… bland, uninspiring and rather tasteless. There are so many better places to go. Won’t be back.

I used to come here very often for lunch, and I find the sushi to be very fresh and of good quality for the price. They also have a loyalty card after 10 stamps, you get one free. The staff are very friendly, and Nasso in particular is always kind and helpful! Thank you!

I almost didnt get anything from here because the Google rating was so low and the photos of the food looked so poor on their menu. But it was 8pm, I was on my way to catch a train, starving and just decided to get something anyway because the staff was so friendly. So happy I did! I was really impressed by the miso aubergine, beautifully cooked and not too sweet. I’ve had so many miso aubergines (I’m vegan) and this one was really delicious! I was not expecting a lot, but the flavour and texture was perfect and the rice and edamame beans with roasted peppers was a lovely compliment. Kept me full on my journey and no bad aftertastes, seemed very fresh and took 10 min to prepare but I didn’t mind waiting for it. Highly recommend this place. Nice staff, decent vegan food options, I just wouldn’t eat inside because the table / decor / lighting is a bit grimy.

A few days ago, I went to Two Point Thai with my mom and aunt for the first time, and we enjoyed it. We ordered a lot of food (I was hungry and forgot to take photos of everything 😅), and everything we tried was good. I’d heard about this place before but never realized it was actually kinda close to me, if I had known, I would’ve come much sooner. I’ll definitely be visiting again!

I really enjoyed the food! We ordered tom yum noodle soup, curry, fried rice, and another soup, and every dish was excellent. We couldn’t help but finish everything, and the service was very pleasant. I’ll definitely be visiting again :)
