Went here during out four day trip to London coming from Wisconsin, US. This place was a must stop because of its history and unique backstory. The staff were friendly and personally I loved the outside of the bar with everyone talking and hanging out together. Great vibe and wish to be back

Very good Shepherd Neame pub in the City of London about five minutes walk from Moorgate Station. Three cask beers on handpump when I visited. Pretty busy on a Monday evening.

Great historic old London boozer. Worth a stop for a pint or 2. Good pint of spitfire even tried the spitfire larger! Check opening times as its closed on weekends.

Had my retirement drinks in a private function room on 30 April and had a great time. Everything was perfect from friendly staff , to atmosphere, to delicious buffet food., including gluten free for my boss. My friends and colleagues all said what a fab time they had at a great venue and I'd definitely recommend .

This review is for the lunchtime set menu only, which consisted of 3 courses for £20. The restaurant is below ground in the Broadgate centre. The room is very glitzy and attractive. We were seated in a comfortable semi-circular banquette. Being on a bank holiday, the room was almost empty. I had a tasty gazpacho to start and my wife had prawn chicharron which she enjoyed very much. We both had the rump and chips for main. The rump was small, maybe 5oz, but was very tasty. Mine was a little chewy, but not too bad. It was accompanied by chimichanga sauce but I preferred mine without. For dessert we had pancakes with ice cream, which was good. Given the size of the steak, we were surprised to find ourselves feeling full by the end. The service was friendly and professional. Having a beer, a mango water, a bottle of still water plus the service charge bumped up the final total to £66 for the 2 of us. I felt it was good value.

A lovely meal to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. Staff were attentive from our arrival. There is a bar and waiting area when you enter and a small lift that takes you down to the actual restaurant. We were taken down to the restaurant when all parties arrived and were seated immediately. Ambience was quiet to start, but more tables became occupied after 5pm. Lights are bright enough that you can read the menu and see your food but not harsh. The toilets were clean, tidy and easily accessible. The food was excellent. Steaks cooked perfectly as requested and delicious sides. Our waiter and waitress were attentive, professional and friendly. My daughter received a complimentary brownie dessert on a plate with Happy Birthday written in chocolate and a candle in it, which was a really nice surprise. My only complaint would be that there wasn’t enough choice on the dessert menu. Definitely a go to place for a great steak dinner to celebrate an occasion. Prices are reasonable to high, expect to pay between £70-£100 per person. You’ll enjoy every bite.

Some of the best steak I have had! Great atmosphere and service. Great place for a business dinner or date night expect to pay about 100 per head though once drinks and everything else factored in. I had the feast set menu which had bread and olives, a starter (scallops), a main (chimichurri rib eye 400g), a dessert (cookie dough) and cheese board. By the time I got to the cookie dough I was well and truly stuffed.

Went here for the set menu dinner during the week. It left a lot to be desired for. The breaded steak was so dry I couldn't chew it, the desert of three milks was a bit sickening, the sausage starter was really good and the only reason I am not giving this place a 1. Loved dining here on the 31st March. First time at this Gaucho and won’t be the last. Huge shout out to Ismael for the excellent service (especially as he had moved homes that very morning!!). He really knew how to keep my friend and I entertained in a warm yet professional way. The food was good: Crab starters were yummy Steak was slightly overdone for my liking. Desserts were a treat! The wine was delicious. The venue itself is really cool. A gorgeous wine bar on ground level, and then you take the lift or stairs to the lower level to a dark and polished space. Really buzzing, great vibes.. Would come again, if only to be served by Ismael! Hehe

As expected at Hawksmoor, absolutely top drawer! We were there for the 20th anniversary and did corkage for £5 a bottle. Had a great time, Service excellent as usual with Joe going over and above to make our visit special (our last date before getting married). Food also impeccable as usual. Highly recommended, especially on a Monday for the corkage deal 😉

I visited Hawksmoor Guildhall for a business lunch and opted for the two-course set menu. It was an excellent meal from start to finish. To start, I had the potted beef served in Yorkshire puddings. It was really tasty, full of flavour, and surprisingly substantial for a starter – a great way to begin the meal. For the main, I chose the fillet steak with peppercorn sauce, served with a baked sweet potato and salad. The steak was cooked perfectly, exactly as requested, and everything on the plate worked really well together. It was a genuinely delicious meal and a great example of why Hawksmoor has such a strong reputation. The only slight disappointment was the rosé by the bottle. It was on the expensive side and didn’t quite live up to the price, although it was still enjoyable enough. Overall, a fantastic business lunch with excellent food, attentive service and a relaxed atmosphere. I’d happily return.

Highly recommend if you’re a steak foodie! My boys devoured the rump steak so fast I never got a photo of them. Best to order rump steak rare to medium rare so they’re not too chewy. I ordered the Burger Royale and it was by far the best burger I’ve had. Love their mac n cheese, love the chips, my other half had the chicken and that was divine! We also had desserts and that was delicious. Wine selection is great, the cocktails yummy and the lager was good. Service timings are fast. The front of house staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful. The vibes of the place really cosy and comfy and classy. Definitely going back there again when we’re in London.

We visited for our anniversary and had such a wonderful experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely fantastic, especially the steak, which was cooked perfectly and full of flavour. The highlight of the evening for me was the sticky toffee pudding dessert , honestly one of the best I’ve ever had A special mention to Nicole, who looked after us throughout the evening with excellent service. She was attentive, friendly, and made our celebration feel even more special. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great food and outstanding hospitality. We’ll definitely be back

Certainly a unique restaurant and was excited to return. The good: Great service, lively restaurant, majority of food was fantastic. The bad: I ordered the sirloin, was extremely tough and firm which didn’t expect from a restaurant like this. Maybe I was just unlucky with my cut. I could have sent it back but I was at a business dinner so didn’t want to make a scene. Would I return, yes of course but at these prices please check your steaks.

Great experience at Telegrapha Pub in Bank, London. Dalila runs the pub with impressive efficiency and creates a welcoming atmosphere together with her team. Their friendliness, attention to detail, and genuine care make every customer feel comfortable and well looked after. The Lamb Kofta and Enoki Mushrooms were excellent, and the Guinness was perfectly served. The team is already ready for the World Cup, and the pre-match atmosphere is fantastic. A special mention to Cassio, who was incredibly helpful, professional, and attentive throughout the evening. His outstanding service really made a difference. It feels like being at home, but in a more elegant setting where you are truly looked after and pampered. Highly recommended!

The Telegraph is one of my regular spots for a few pints and some food after work, and I was there recently to watch the England game. As usual, the atmosphere was great, the food was really good, and the staff were friendly and doing their best despite how busy it was. The only issue was the air conditioning, which didn't seem to be working. With the place packed for the match, it got very warm inside and was a bit uncomfortable at times. I honestly wasn't sure whether to mention it because everything else was spot on, but I hope the management sees this and gets it sorted. This is one of my favourite places to come after work, which is exactly why I thought it was worth pointing out. Overall, it didn't spoil the evening at all. Great food, great staff, and I'll definitely keep coming back.

Fantastic place to watch the World Cup! The atmosphere was amazing, and the service was even better. Huge thanks to Dali and Cristina, who were so friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the game. Literally went in today for a cold refreshing pint and to escape from the furnace that is London currently - only to find out that there was no air con OR fans! It was ridiculous, the staff were lovely and gave me some iced water with my pint but I could only stay for 1, it was too hot!

Such a great afternoon! The only reasons I’m deducting a star 😭 1. It was way too hot. 2. The special themed drinks were not available to order on the app, and I couldn’t get anyone’s attention to order one, they were either bringing out food or taking away empties. 3. On entry it would’ve been nice if they told us what time the film was actually starting, and please let the credits roll 🙈 But overall, food and drinks were amazing, service was really good. Seating was comfy and had plenty of space at the table. Film was obviously top notch :-) And I liked the quiz before hand.

Thanks to Emma and I think the other lady’s name was Kiki or Kitty? (Sorry!) also, thanks to the lovely servers who were very fast and efficient. We chose the vegan menu and we had the same servers throughout the courses to avoid cross contamination, which is amazing. I do wish there was at least one drink included as paying £85 is a lot of money. But loved the vibes, will deffo come again.

Loved the whole experience, the food was themed perfectly, the whole vibe of the audience was amazing, friendly and hyped up and the 2 female staff members who were organising at the beginning had all the audience participating, yelling out answers to the quiz and laughing along. All the staff were fantastic to be honest. Looking at the menu online I thought I would still need to go mcdonalds before heading home but I was stuffed at the end in a good way.

The pasta and coffee combination sounds bit awkward but that’s what I bought from Coco Di Mama and I never regretted my decision. I am all time pasta lover but coffee is something I am very particular about and here I did t get disappointed. The taste of coffee is something specially different. #vikrmn

I came here for a quick lunch, and was more than impressed. authentic, healthy and high quality fast food. The past was steaming hot and delicious, and the man behind the counter was incredibly warm and friendly. In terms of fast food, superlative!

Store and staff very friendly. I've had better hot chocolate. Pasta great and quickly served. Specials a bit hit and miss. Getting increasingly expensive - now £6.50 for standard pasta. Music way too loud to hear servers.

We hosted our work Christmas party for a group of 126 people, and it was absolutely fantastic! From the very beginning, the communication with the team was excellent—every detail was handled smoothly and efficiently. The staff on the night were super helpful and incredibly friendly, making sure everyone felt welcome and taken care of. The three-course meal was delicious, with plenty of compliments from our team about the quality of the food. They were also extremely accommodating when our live band arrived to set up. The space worked perfectly for both the seated dinner and the band’s performance, creating a great atmosphere for the evening. I can’t recommend Austin Friars Balls Brothers enough for any large event or party. A huge thank you to the team for helping us create such a memorable night!

We recently hosted a mixer event for around 300 alumni and students at Balls Brothers Austin Friars, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. The venue was perfect — a beautiful space with a great atmosphere, and the layout worked brilliantly for mingling and networking. We received so many compliments throughout the evening about how wonderful the setting was. A huge thank you to Katie, Flo, and the entire team. The staff were friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful all night. The food was excellent too — beautifully presented and genuinely delicious. We had especially great feedback about the bowls! The support we received in the lead-up to the event made the whole process seamless, and the team really helped bring everything together. We couldn't have asked for a better venue or better hosts.

Had a really great time at Balls Brothers Austin Friars. Everything just worked, good vibes, great food and a relaxed but polished atmosphere that makes you want to stay longer than planned. Big shout-out to the manager Alberto, who honestly made the experience even better. Super attentive, really knowledgeable and genuinely professional without ever feeling stiff or overbearing. He checked in at just the right moments, gave great recommendations and made us feel properly looked after. If you’re looking for a solid spot in the City with great service and a welcoming feel, this place is a winner. Will definitely be back! 🍷👏

A busy London vibing pub opposite Liverpool Station, a trendy place to hangout for a quick drink, lounges on different levels and a private one to rent on the top floor. A great selection of beers available on the tap. Delicious smelling food you'll not be disappointed. It also hosts a nice outdoor drinking area with tables and chairs for when the weather's good

Popped into for a drink and a bite to eat. The service was excellent. Luke helped us order food and gave us excellent recommendations and was very chatty and friendly. The fish and chips were lovely and fresh. Shout out to the chef and Luke definitely needs praising

I visited this site for the first time to meet a friend and I was amazed at how friendly the staff were and especially considering it was a busy Friday night, the service was also excellent. Our food arrived quite quickly and was piping hot and tasted great. I really enjoyed the atmosphere at this location, you could see why it was so busy as it is such a nice location. Loved the decor, loved the different sections of the pub as well as we had a table booked in a little nook which gave us privacy and we didn't need to shout across the table. Fully recommend.

Chill out on the sidewalk outside with the beers and catch up with your peeps. The atmosphere is buzzing and you will always go back here at 5 ish and grab that drink before catching the tube. Guinness was the best. Apple cider too. IPA as well.

If you like loud pubs this is your perfect place. Very networky as it's in Moorgate's business area. Youngish professionals and mid range. Three guest ales ales - Tribute, a Green King and Deuchars. Pressing lagers and beers, Inches Cider and Guinness. Variety of wines. & spirits (double up on all spirits for £3) Menu shared platters (tapas in Spain), Sharers Nachos, wings and trio of fries, burgers/ sandwiches. I went for three shared platters - crispy smashed potatoes which were more cheesy than crispy, crispy squid(in sweet chilli sauce) and crispy battered cod goujons. Very very nice. Three are adequate for one person. Service is good and efficient. Recommended. Drinking outside - standing where it's less noisy, and crowded and cooler. Rest your glass on the window sills.

Such a beautiful little pub serving great fare in a buzzing atmosphere. We booked a table ahead of time and ate upstairs in the restaurant. The menu was extensive with plenty of vegetarian options available (including beyond meat). I had the steak and ale pie with mash and it was outstanding. A proper English feed. Only knock would be the service. No one upstairs to take our order and staff didn’t want to engage with us when we asked questions. Had to go downstairs to place orders even though there was a bar up top. I think he was having a bad night.

Recently visited Red Lion while out with friends. At first, it didn’t get my attention, but I couldn’t be more mistaken!!! From the very first moment, staff is very friendly and welcoming, especially Maciek. It is worth to mention girl, who’s collecting dirty glasses, I’ve never seen such a hardworking person! We’ve ordered Mix&Share offer and food was absolutely delicious! Overall, if you’re looking for a place where you can eat and have some drink, Red Lion is the place to go
