Visited for my girlfriend's birthday. The booking system is great (allowing you to pre-order drinks and upload a photo), though the restaurant was too busy for the personalised welcome to work this time.
The food was fantastic. My steak was a perfect medium-rare. My girlfriend's steak arrived closer to medium-well despite ordering medium-rare, but we didn't send it back as it was still tasty and we didn't want to disrupt the evening. When we mentioned it later, the staff were excellent—they offered a replacement, and when we declined, they gave us a free dessert.
Special mention to our waitress who was outstanding, and the cocktails were well worth the price. Will definitely return.

Excellent Sunday lunch.
Firstly we was a big table as requested as we had a baby in a buggy with us.
Very comfortable dining.
bread was warm and fresh.
The roast sirloin of beef was cooked to as we request and very tasty and tender.
Trimmings were also very good, my only comment would be the potatoes were just Average! No real seasoning or herbs.
Very nice Espresso martinis and a delicious Eton mess made specially for my partner's birthday for free plus reasonable priced wine and a good pilsner lager.
Staff was amazing! Professional, attentive and polite which made it a perfect afternoon.
Will definitely revisit.

Definitely a good back to spot. Every item we've ordered was hands down top notch. We had the tartar, scallops, burger, riveted, and Mac and cheese. Signed off with the tiramisu and sundae. Every single dish was more worthy.

Went to Goodmans, the steaks are exceptional and starters and mains all cooked to perfection and incredible. The service was fantastic the staff very attentive and friendly. Whilst a Mayfair establishment it was a relaxed atmosphere, toilets were very clean, and my party had a fab time.

A first time for me at Goodman and I must say it was very enjoyable experience.
The food was excellent, the portion size just right and an easy and stress free experience.
Went for the Sunday dinner option and I could not have asked for a better way to spend my Sunday afternoon, the meat was tender, tasty and the vegetables and Yorkshire were absolutely on point for my liking.
A big thank you to all the staff front of house and in the kitchen, I hope to be back again soon.

Really nice shopping day at Liberty. Their Christmas 🎄 decorations are always wonderful. The ship in the centre of the main hall is just fantastic. Bought perfume from the ground floor, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. You could easily spend hours looking at all the Christmas decorations on the top floor. We will be back again soon for more inspirations.

Such a cool building both inside and out. Really we came because the Cruella movie put us onto this, and were couldn't believe that such a neat looking place actually existed in real life. It's surprisingly extensive, being cozy and open at the same time. Wonderful selection and friendly helpful staff. Items are not going to be inexpensive, and there are some eye popping prices, but there are also many unique and reasonable finds. Free embossing on some items too!

Liberty is the destination of dreams for anyone who sews, stitches, entertains, or wears cloths. Very fun to browse all the lovely patterned goods for sale. Check out The Haberdashery first if you're buying fabric - the quilting cotton is significantly less expensive than the lawn for some clothing and many craft projects. Lots of creative projects to inspire. Beautifully decorated at Christmas, but lots of people enjoying toye visit with you. Lovely visit and even lovelier staff.

Liberty London is one of the city’s most distinctive and characterful department stores, offering a shopping experience that feels both luxurious and wonderfully unique. Housed in its iconic Tudor-style building just off Regent Street, Liberty immediately stands out with its warm wooden interiors, beautiful floral displays, and carefully curated collections.
Inside, every floor feels like a treasure hunt. From designer fashion to home décor, beauty, accessories, and the famous Liberty fabrics, the store blends high-end brands with independent artisans in a way that feels fresh and inspiring. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about the products they showcase, adding to the boutique-style charm.
The beauty hall is especially impressive, offering exclusive brands and personalised service, while the home section showcases stunning pieces you won’t find elsewhere. Whether you're browsing or buying, Liberty makes every visit feel special, creative, and authentically London. A must-visit for lovers of style, craftsmanship, and individuality.

Left feeling thoroughly underwhelmed with this restaurant. We ordered a range of things to sample what they had to offer, and while it all tasted okay, nothing blew my mind. Everything tasted “okay”. What stood out to my flavour wise was the tenderloin, which was really good (but tiny). The churros, completely over cooked. What was disappointing was the portion sizes, incredibly small, and definitely would not say they are not value for money.
In addition, service was poor. The lady serving us genuinely seemed annoyed. Our first interaction with her was her yelling at the maitre de lady for sitting us at a booth rather than a table… even though the restaurant was half empty. Her manners did not improve.
Overall, would not recommend.

The food is very good. The portion is as you could imagine for tapas. Though, nothing particularly stands out as memorable. The paella was the only one I could remember the taste of.
Service is good, very professional and proper. The food is slightly salty for mr but maybe depending on individual's taste.
We got a little too much and couldn't finish our meals so we asked to doggy bag it home as they asked us to sign a waiver.

5 stars no notes. Our host, Ray, who doubled as a sommelier was knowledgeable and personable. I recommend visiting in the evening in the week as we had the place to ourselves. Perfect for a romantic date night. The food was delicious I highly recommend the black seafood croquettes, octopus and the pork tenderloin. The wine was delicious, served well and the staff aka Ray was friendly and attentive. The food came out quickly (as we were the only people there) however it tasted fresh and was served hot. Order at least 8 plates for 2 people as the portions are small - however executed very well.

My friend and I have booked this place for SO LONG! We had to keep rescheduling due to interrupted events between our calendars. We are so glad we ended up going in the end 😮💨!
When I tell you this restaurant is a ‘definitely going again’ type of place. The bar, the kindness of staff, the atmosphere, everything is a yes.
We ordered the Patatas Bravas 🥔, the Homemade Catalan style fresh cheese 🫕 and the Galician Style Octopus 🐙 .
These were all so delicious! Especially the octopus and the potato’s. Their flavours were on a different level and the presentation made it better! The staff were lovely and welcoming, always alert too. We didn’t get any drinks as we’re going out afterwards but all was well!

what a treat! i went with my husband and sister and we all loved it. charming, cozy, and warm. several floors of seating and a roof top terrace. we shared the pumpkin soup. i don’t usually like pumpkin but this was the soup was amazing! i will be trying to recreate it when i get back to the states. we each got a steak pie, i had steak and stilton, they had steak and mushroom. all were great. for dessert we had the sticky toffee pudding with salted caramel ice cream. again, amazing! special shout out to our server, Karol, who went above and beyond to make our visit so great and his beer suggestions were top notch. would absolutely visit again

We look all over London for a traditional pub that offered pies. We found the Windmill Mayfair over google. When we arrived every table was reserved but barkeeper made it possible for us to get a table so we could try the pies. The pies where so good we reserved a table for another dinner in the Windmill Mayfair. And again the pies where delicious. We told the staff when we return to London we will definitely reserve a table again!!! Super service, great atmosphere and a great pub.

Magnificent experience at The Windmill. The place is very charming, with great music and excellent quality food! I had a delicious pie served with excellent potatoes and a sensational sticky toffee pudding. Even if you feel full, I highly recommend trying the dessert because it’s exceptional. We were served by Patrikas, whose kindness and warm hospitality made my experience even more unforgettable. Highly recommended!

A fantastic pub with a really good feel to it, great staff and even better food. Came here with my sister who had been many times before and the Sunday dinner with a steak and mushroom pie was outstanding. Big chunks of steak that just melted, veg and roasties cooked perfectly and the portion size was massive. I couldn't finish mine, leaving a few mouthfuls and joked to my sister that I need my bed. You couldn't write this, and I'm not kidding but as we were leaving there was a bloke lying down on the bench by one of the tables!
Credit to our waiter/server too (Patrikas) who was very friendly and attentive.
Can't wait to return to battle another pie!

Our server Andrea was a pleasure to deal with. Very hospitable and his service was excellent.
Polite, courteous and just a joy.
The food was amazing, I had the steak and kidney pie and it’s easy to see why this place has so many awards for their pies. The sticky toffee pudding was decadent
We all ate so much that we left the place in a food coma…..
Definitely a must go to if you’re in London.

Nice pub with friendly bar staff. We enjoyed a couple of Guinness beers and a tasty burger.
Suggestion for the bar owner: do something about those ugly bright white light boxes displaying the prices for a number of drinks; they don't fit in with the otherwise cosy atmosphere :)

Found this hidden gem whilst visiting Harley Street for appointments. It’s just in behind Oxford Street in Cavendish Square. We visited twice for lunch and it was delicious! They have a special lunchtime menu Monday-Friday and it was great and with a drink for two people it was just £27! Superb value! Staff very friendly and toilets spotless.
Give it a try as you really won’t be disappointed!

Alright hear me now, I went to Yalla Yalla just of Oxford street for my friends birthday meal it’s a Lebanese restaurant with lovely service a quite a wide range of food on the menu. Our server Houssam was very friendly and quite helpful. I got a large mixed grill and a strawberry lemonade.
The large Mixed grill
It came with a small portion of rice with an equal amount of salad, it also lamb kofta and chicken taouk and chicken wings. The salad was fresh but nothing really to rave about the chicken taouk was okay a bit seasoned but also a bit chewy not my favourite. The wings were more seasoned and because it was “large” I got two more than I would have but the wings them selves were quite small so they were short lived. The lamb kofta was probably my favourite thing on the plate in terms of meat it was seasoned well, well cooked and it worked best with the rice salad and other sauces. It also came with their own garlic and chilli sauce. My main problem with this was the portion size as I paid an extra £5 for a large mixed grill and it looked like it was a normal serving so that was pretty disappointing and not worth the money at all.
The strawberry lemonade though with sweet and sharp and just brilliant, it was so nice I got it twice. 10/10
Overall I’ll give it a 6.7/10 because I feel like I was scammed by the large mixed grill. I could come here again but I would get something else.
Sam “SJ” McCarthy - 3 months ago
I might be very picky as I’m Lebanese but the tabbouleh wasn’t tabbouleh at all - no lemon salt or olive oil and quinoa instead was used instead of bulgar wheat. The dips labneh hummus and baba ghanoush were all great but the chicken in the mixed grill main was very dry. The dessert and tea was really good :)
The server Houssah was really lovely and welcoming, checking on us to get us everything we needed. It’s a lovely restaurant with good vibes and beautiful interior but food needs some work.
Thanks for amazing service!

I loved the atmosphere with its special décor.

The food was delicious, but it wasn’t served on time. The waiter was very friendly, and when he found out we were from Iran, he said he knew a little Persian, which was really cute. The atmosphere was nice overall, but the tables were placed too close together, one of my guests even got stuck.

Wanting to share true kindness from staff. After ordering my meal I was ready to pay cash unaware that they do not accept cash payment. Unfortunately, during my travels my credit cards had been stolen and I was ending my trip in London and using the cash I had. Despite trying to pay cash or getting another customer to pay credit so I could offer cash payment to them the staff ended up offering my food free of charge. True kindness and the meal was great (rice bowl with chicken). Thank you again to the staff working on October 11th, 2025 around 17:00.

Tucked behind Oxford Circus, Tortilla is a hidden gem for a quick and satisfying lunch. I recently tried their naked burrito, which allows you to customize your meal by choosing your style of rice, beans, meat, and salad. The options were plentiful, and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. While you can add extra toppings for an additional cost, the large bowl I had was already quite filling and reasonably priced at £9. It's a perfect spot if you're looking for a convenient and tasty Mexican meal in the heart of London. Definitely worth a visit!

We were underwhelmed with our afternoon of tea and cakes but the staff were so attentive that I've boosted what would have been a lower rating. We started with a glass of fizz which was surprisingly crisp and refreshing. Our initial round of espressos were lukewarm but our friendly server made adjustments and they were perfect for the rest of our visit. Desserts were almost all disappointing, which was a let down after enjoying such fresh, tasty sandwiches. The macarons however, were excellent. A pleasant experience though I'm not sure that we will return.

I don't know what they do to beef, but it is the bomb. It made me cry tears of joy. I'm not joking. I have visited this place 4 times and never been disappointed. The service is exceptional - they even always remember which is my favourite wine The chips and side dishes are also really good - I particularly like the onion & tomato salad with fresh herbs. They could improve their limited beer selection...

Discovered L'express Coffee Company while dining nearby.
This no frills eatery captivated me because you choose what you want for a fixed price.
Prices start at 6.90 to 10.50.
So obviously for 10.50 you can have everything in the cheaper range.
The 9.50 is probably sufficient as the 10.50 box is just wider.
I chose the 10.50 because for that selection there was lasagne, chicken curry, chilli con carne, peri peri chicken, rice noodles which are all my favourites and additionally I can get anything from the other range like houmous, salad etc.
I got mainly the hot items because it was the things I wanted so imagine how joyful it was having chili con carne, lasagne and curry in one meal.
The chicken curry was really comforting as it was just like the school one while the chili con carne and lasagne were just as good.
The potatoes wedges were to my liking as they were soft and fluffy.
You can also order sandwiches and baked potatoes at the far end.
According to the internet, they used to be located in Holborn.
Will definitely return.
There is seating outside so on a pleasant day it's a great place to enjoy the food.

A mate told me this was one the best fish and chip places he's gone and it didn't disappoint! Was super tasty! I had the haddock and my GF the cod and we both agree cod was better and less fishy tasting. The chips were fried well but I'd like them but crisper. Overall really solid. Loved the vibe of the place too. The milk shake was kinda meh but the fish and chips nailed it!

I don’t do 5 star reviews but Golden Union deserves 5 stars.
They have set the bar for fish and chips in the UK.
Their curry sauce and their tartar sauce is the best I’ve had in the UK. My wife and I had given up on getting delicious tartar sauce here in the UK, but Golden Union came to the rescue.
I had the small cod with chips and my wife had the king prawns with chips.
I can truly say this meal exceeded expectations.
We will definitely be back with our friends.

A must-try Fish and Chips in London.
The restaurant is not very big, but the food is delicious. The space between tables is a bit narrow, so it can be a little challenging to place your belongings. Overall, still a lovely dining experience.

Crispy thinly battered fish which was not over seasoned. A big portion of chips perfectly fried. Servise was exceptional. It will be hard to get better fish and chips anywhere else.

Tucked away just off Oxford Street on Poland Street, Golden Union is a bit of a hidden gem for fish & chips. Service was friendly and efficient. The chips are proper, chunky and well-cooked, and the cod was delicious — crisp golden batter on the outside, soft and flaky white fish inside. Everything is fried in rapeseed oil, which keeps it light and clean-tasting. Portion-wise, the cod was slightly smaller than I’ve had elsewhere for the price, but still very satisfying. Plenty of seating inside, though it can get packed on weekends, so be prepared for a busy atmosphere. Overall, a solid spot for classic fish & chips in central London.
