5 Star Rating An excellent steakhouse experience at Goodman London! The steak was absolutely delicious—we ordered the Wagyu, and it was cooked perfectly to our preference, medium rare. Tender, juicy, and full of rich flavor. The quality of the meat really stands out, and you can taste the care in preparation. A must-visit for steak lovers in London!

5 Star Rating Amazing service and food was outstanding. Only let down was the tiramisu, it was sloppy. Chips were fine but probably wouldn’t get them again. They prepped the mac and cheese without truffle on request which was hugely appreciated

5 Star Rating Visited for my girlfriend's birthday. The booking system is great (allowing you to pre-order drinks and upload a photo), though the restaurant was too busy for the personalised welcome to work this time. The food was fantastic. My steak was a perfect medium-rare. My girlfriend's steak arrived closer to medium-well despite ordering medium-rare, but we didn't send it back as it was still tasty and we didn't want to disrupt the evening. When we mentioned it later, the staff were excellent—they offered a replacement, and when we declined, they gave us a free dessert. Special mention to our waitress who was outstanding, and the cocktails were well worth the price. Will definitely return.

5 Star Rating We celebrated our wedding reception on Tuesday with private dining at Goodman in Mayfair for 20 of our friends and family, and it was truly exceptional. From decorating the space so beautifully with the flowers we provided, to printing personalised menus, to wine recommendations, to the care and attention they gave our friends’ 5-year-old, the team truly went above and beyond. The food was outstanding! Every dish perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. Not to mention the service we received, from first enquiring to the night itself, was impeccable. The entire team made our special day feel effortless and unforgettable and there is a reason why this is our favourite restaurant! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable dining experience. My husband and I could not recommend Goodman in Mayfair more and look forward to returning soon.

5 Star Rating Such a stunning and unique department store! Unlike modern shops, walking into Liberty feels like stepping back in time or exploring a historic manor house. The Tudor-style woodwork, creaking timber staircases, and beautiful central atrium are absolutely gorgeous. It has a cozy, intimate layout that makes window shopping feel like an adventure. Even if you aren't planning to buy high-end fashion, it's worth visiting just to admire the building itself.

5 Star Rating We visited in search of inspiration for a prom dress, but unfortunately couldn’t find anything suitable for a 16-year-old. That said, it’s always a pleasant experience to browse the department and admire the selection of fine clothing and other items. The toilet is very simple and nothing particularly special, aside from the wallpaper and the toilet roll cover, which feature unique patterns.

5 Star Rating Quintessential British charm & class - this department store is a MUST when visiting London. Shopping was not my focus but I happened to stumble upon one of my favourite perfumes - Perfumer H. The guy serving me was so knowledgable & lovely to deal with. I bought the Icons Collection No.2 : Steam, Moss, Dandelion, Ink & Rain Wood - a set of 8ml eaux de parfum. We also had a light lunch here at the 75 Restaurant. Excellent menu options & attentive staff. We ordered: Devonshire Crab Toast - picked crab, chervil, pickled cucumber, & almonds; as well as Traditional Buttermilk Scones - strawberry jam & clotted cream. Both were excellent.

5 Star Rating One of the best dining and rooftop bars I have been to! What a vibe! The manager Ray made it extra special and added to our celebration by taking time to speak to us and make sure we were enjoying the event. I go to a lot of bars and restaurants and I have to say this is a GO TO PLACE! Beautiful scenery from the roof top and the food was really good in the restaurant. The tapas is tasty and big portions. We went for dinner at 8pm and stayed on the roof top until 1am , music was also on point! I’d definitely recommend for any occasion.

5 Star Rating From the moment you arrive, the atmosphere is electric with Latino music, incredible rooftop views, and a lively crowd ready to party. The food is just as impressive as the vibes. We started with a delicious sharing board featuring chickpea purée with turmeric, sourdough bread with tomato butter, sun-dried tomato & sobrasada dip, and a classic Gilda with pickled vegetables and white sardine. The tapas selection was packed with flavour, especially the cider chorizo with honey, Patatas Bravas with white alioli and brava sauce, the meat & cheese selection, and perfectly cooked Padrón peppers. The best part? Free-flowing cocktails, wine, and champagne that keep coming all night long! 🍸🍷🍾 Combined with the amazing music and rooftop setting, it’s easily one of London’s best Friday night experiences.

2 Star Rating Left feeling thoroughly underwhelmed with this restaurant. We ordered a range of things to sample what they had to offer, and while it all tasted okay, nothing blew my mind. Everything tasted “okay”. What stood out to my flavour wise was the tenderloin, which was really good (but tiny). The churros, completely over cooked. What was disappointing was the portion sizes, incredibly small, and definitely would not say they are not value for money. In addition, service was poor. The lady serving us genuinely seemed annoyed. Our first interaction with her was her yelling at the maitre de lady for sitting us at a booth rather than a table… even though the restaurant was half empty. Her manners did not improve. Overall, would not recommend.

When we arrived every table was reserved but barkeeper made it possible for us to get a table so we could try the pies. 5 Star Rating The pies here are spectacular. The crust is tasty and holds together perfectly, non of that the pie is in a dish as either there is no crust or the crust will fall apart. The filling was delicious, I loved the short rib and Guinness pie. The beer selection was fantastic. The wine selection was not quite as amazing, the only real disappointment was the wine, should have stuck with the beer. Well recommended!

5 Star Rating Popped in yesterday to get something to drink and ended up eating some gorgeous chips (French fries if you're American). There were plain chunky ones, ones with rosemary and parmesan and some with nacho cheese, beef brisket and crispy onion strips. All were good and all disappeared very quickly. We were served extremely well by Callum, who was most attentive. All in all this was a very welcome place to quench our thirst. We had been to the Jane Austen Experience, which is almost opposite and sadly has no tea room. I highly recommend the Phoenix!

5 Star Rating I booked for Iftar and had a lovely experience. The menu had an enough options to choose from. The lentil soup was especially delicious and full of flavour. It also came with fattoush, hummus with fresh toasted bread, and sambousek a perfect start to the meal. For the main course, I had the mixed grill, which was absolutely delicious and very satisfying. The portions were generous and left me feeling comfortably full. For dessert, I highly recommend the rose mahalabia – it was heavenly and the perfect sweet ending to a beautiful Iftar. 3 Star Rating We were walking around Oxford Street after shopping and looking for somewhere to eat when we came across this place randomly. The décor inside looked amazing, and the customer service was really good, very attentive and welcoming. The restaurant is clean, including the toilets, and it’s also quite accessible, which is a plus. We ordered two mains—a shawarma bowl and a chicken dish without any sides. The portion sizes were good, but the flavours were a bit underwhelming and on the bland side. It felt like the dishes needed a bit more seasoning or spice. The chicken, in particular, wasn’t as succulent as it could have been and was slightly chewy. The shawarma bowl didn’t feel very authentic, more like an adapted version. The drinks were okay. The single measures weren’t very strong, but the doubles were better. Overall, it’s a decent option if you’re nearby and need somewhere to eat, but the food alone wouldn’t be enough for me to come back.

5 Star Rating Discovered L'express Coffee Company while dining nearby. This no frills eatery captivated me because you choose what you want for a fixed price. Prices start at 6.90 to 10.50. So obviously for 10.50 you can have everything in the cheaper range. The 9.50 is probably sufficient as the 10.50 box is just wider. I chose the 10.50 because for that selection there was lasagne, chicken curry, chilli con carne, peri peri chicken, rice noodles which are all my favourites and additionally I can get anything from the other range like houmous, salad etc. I got mainly the hot items because it was the things I wanted so imagine how joyful it was having chili con carne, lasagne and curry in one meal. The chicken curry was really comforting as it was just like the school one while the chili con carne and lasagne were just as good. The potatoes wedges were to my liking as they were soft and fluffy. You can also order sandwiches and baked potatoes at the far end. According to the internet, they used to be located in Holborn. Will definitely return. There is seating outside so on a pleasant day it's a great place to enjoy the food.

5 Star Rating Golden Union is a fantastic spot for classic fish and chips done right. The fish was perfectly cooked, and what really stood out was the batter — light, crispy, and not overly heavy or greasy like you sometimes get elsewhere. It had just the right crunch while still letting the freshness of the fish shine through. I also really enjoyed the fried gherkins, which were a great touch and paired surprisingly well with the tartare sauce. The acidity helped cut through the richness and balanced everything nicely. Overall, a very satisfying meal with well-executed classics and thoughtful flavors. Definitely a great place to visit if you’re craving proper fish and chips in London.

5 Star Rating We tried the classic fish and chips, and it was absolutely delicious! The chips were out of this world! The service, food, and atmosphere were all top-notch. However, be aware that if you order just one meal for two people, they might charge you an extra 5 pounds (as we noticed on the menu) for the second person who didn’t order anything. To avoid this, we opted for a salad instead.

5 Star Rating Golden Union At Golden Union, fish & chips is elevated from a simple comfort dish to a carefully constructed gastronomic experience. This is a restaurant where culinary chemistry, ingredient quality, and technical precision work together in remarkable harmony. From the very first bite, it becomes obvious that every detail is treated with seriousness and respect. One of the most impressive aspects is the frying technique itself. The oil is exceptionally fresh, with not even the slightest trace of rancidity or oxidized aftertaste — something rare even in many highly rated establishments. This detail alone completely transforms the final result, allowing the natural sweetness of the fish and potatoes to remain pure and clean on the palate. The batter achieves that ideal balance between crispness and lightness, creating a golden crust through an expertly controlled Maillard reaction, while preserving a moist, flaky, and intensely flavorful interior. The fish is excellent: fresh, succulent, and perfectly cooked, without losing its delicate structure. The chips deserve special recognition as well. Prepared from fresh potatoes in-house rather than from frozen industrial products, they offer authentic texture, natural sweetness, and a far more complex aromatic profile. The sauces are exceptional and intelligently balanced, complementing the dishes without overwhelming the primary flavors. The cleanliness standards are clearly visible throughout the experience: cutlery is spotless, the presentation is neat and professional, and the atmosphere is enhanced by an exceptionally warm, friendly, and attentive staff. Few restaurants manage to create such a complete sensory harmony between food quality, hospitality, and technical execution. What was experienced here was genuinely a symphony of flavors built from seemingly simple dishes — proof that simplicity, when mastered, becomes culinary excellence. Pavel Guide Cuisine (PGC) Evaluation: * Flavour & Technique — 5 * Presentation & Aesthetics — 4.9 * Ingredient Quality — 5 * Service & Hospitality — 5 * Ambiance & Identity — 5 Final Score: 5 / 5 A nearly perfect candidate for a “Pavel Guide Cuisine – PGC” star. A restaurant that demonstrates how fish & chips, when approached with intelligence, precision, and respect for ingredients, can become true gastronomic art. Highly recommended. P.S.: If the drinking glasses were renewed, as some appear too scratched, the experience would become almost irritatingly close to perfection. We will return for another evaluation.

Reviews

5 Star Rating Had a great experience at The Clachan. Tried the Beef Pie and the Apple Crumble Pie — both were delicious and felt like proper classic British comfort food. The beef pie was rich, hearty, and full of flavor, while the apple crumble pie with custard was warm and perfectly balanced. Cozy atmosphere, generous portions, and friendly service. Definitely worth visiting in London.

5 Star Rating Hari has given me the best hospitality experience I’ve ever seen in a pub in London. He cater to all our requests and also make sure that all of our guests were absolutely happy and satisfied with food drink and Desserts. Hari Has lots of experience within hospitality because he made us feel very welcome and always was checking up if you need any more food or drinks. Our guest were very very happy, and I will suggest this Pub for anybody who has to entertain large groups or if you’re feeling like you need a welcoming Pub. He’s also made amazing cocktails and also explain all the different food options. Hari Understands the menu, Filli and also recommended very good options from the menu. Hari Also was a very good Wine expertexplaining all the different types of wine and what goes well with certain foods

5 Star Rating We made a visit to Liberty London and popped in The Clachan for a spot of lunch. The food was excellent, but what sold us was the service provided by Nandhini. She was attentive and efficient, but also gave us space to chat and catch up. A wonderful end to a morning of shopping!
