My partner and I often come to Goodman now and then, as we really enjoy the food here. We recently returned to celebrate his 25th birthday and ordered a few dishes. One of them, a chicken ordered by his aunt, wasn’t to her liking and had to be sent back, but I was genuinely impressed with how professionally and kindly the staff handled the situation. She ended up getting a burger instead.
The starters…Wow. We always get the prawn tempura as our starter because it is just that good. I honestly think Goodman’s tempuras are the best we’ve tried so far. We also got the Puglian burrata. It had such a great creamy/milky taste to it, and mixed with the peppers, it was amazing.
Our waitress was absolutely lovely as well. She was attentive and made sure all our needs were met.
As regulars, I can confidently say the steak here is fantastic, it’s always cooked exactly the way I like it. The sides are tasty too, but the steak is definitely the star of the show.

Helo been there recently and the food was okay, the staff was very good but I have to say they’re robbing people because I paid for a “600” grams steak that was not even 200g honestly that is really bad. And when I asked the guy he said: well the steak shrinks in the cooking process. And that’s true but I doubt that it would loose 400 g in the cooking process when I order especially blue rare.

Just had the most amazing lunch here
Everything perfect.
Had the oysters, prawns and scallops to start. Beef tartare was brought as mistake but they said to keep it. All tasted amazing.
Then had the 1kg bone in ribye, creamed spinach, truffle chips, mushrooms and mac and cheese.
Amazing again.
Drinks and services all perfect. 1st time here. Won't be our last

Incredible food and service. The steak was insanely delicious, we shared Australian Sirloin and Chateaubriand with lots of lovely sides. The red wine was also perfect! The waitress we had was excellent - explained all the cuts of meat, made helpful suggestions and was attentive throughout our visit. The only thing for feedback is to make the interior brighter as it's quite dark, and perhaps some more options for dessert that are more traditional / chocolate based. But honestly everything was so good!

Our group of four visited the restaurant and ordered the New York strip, Australian sirloin, ribeye, and fillet. The steaks were tasty and well-cooked. The staff were friendly, and the quiet, calm atmosphere made the experience enjoyable. I also recommend the mushroom side dish—it was amazing. The wine I ordered was cheap and decent. The Béarnaise sauce was also delicious.

150year old department !!
This is not just ordinary department, it is a living history where you can appreciate. The beauty of architecture and the way they display the products on each floor. I was amazed with the charm of this building. There was a special exhibition about the collection of patch work and it was so awesome. I had so much fun to look around.

Absolutely outstanding.
High quality products and all at reasonable prices. There are lots of unique items I've never seen anywhere else.
I can only describe it as a department store that is better than John Lewis in some ways. Its hard to describe as it's unique.
The building itself is well over a hundred years old. It has a breathtaking design that is well worth a visit just for that
Great disabled access lots of lifts, and they were all working.
You could spend a fair few hours here browsing. im definitely going back.

Liberty London is a beautiful and unique store — walking through it feels like stepping back in time. The wooden interior and historic charm make it one of the most atmospheric places to shop in London. Many guests love the curated selection of fashion, beauty, and home items, especially the iconic Liberty prints. It’s a great place to find special gifts or something a bit different from typical department stores.
Staff are generally helpful and knowledgeable, though a few guests have mentioned that service can vary depending on the department. The store is often described as calm and welcoming, a nice contrast to the busier shops nearby.

Liberty is a beautiful classic department store. The iconic Tudor-style building, with its creaky wooden floors and rich wood panelling, adds an unmistakable charm you just don't find in modern stores. It’s a pleasure just to wander through the store, admiring the old-world design and unique finds at every turn. Service is consistently warm and attentive without being intrusive. Prices are what you’d expect for a high-end London department store, but the experience of shopping here feels special and worth it.

High quality fabric, and lovely friendly staff! The exhibition was very interesting and the layouts were very special! Pretty immersive even though the space was small. The fabric designs are all so creative. The only thing is that it is quite stuffy, should consider getting air conditioning. But otherwise it was a fun shopping experience!

I booked this place for me and my friends. It was 4 of us. And I can definitely recommend this place as it’s amazing. It’s has many great options of drinks and food. Amazing rooftop and nice music. Food was so delicious 🤤 we will definitely come back 😉

Aqua Nueva was good.
The food was very very tasty. Tasty to the point we were quite let down they were so strict with portions. The peppers were surprisingly very good, well spiced and all.
The skewers also were quite nice, but portions yet again. lol
I think one thing I liked was the fact you could shuffle through all the drinks on a “free flow” brunch plan, unlike other places that restrict you to one type drink all through the time allowed.
It’s dissatisfying getting up from an £80 “brunch”, but still quite hungry. A sentiment shared by more than one person in our 4 person group.

Booked for a Friday in the restaurant for my birthday dinner, was an excellent vibe. However portions sizes for food were very small but the food was delicious. Complimentary peppers and drinks, the service was a little slow but that was relative to how busy it was and our waiter Ronak was lovely and made sure everything was to our satisfaction. After food we were all given wristbands to enjoy the terrace which had excellent music thanks to DJ Deb! Friends and I had an amazing evening.

My friend and I dined with you on Wednesday the 5th of January and I need to give my deepest compliments to all the staff who took care of us during our visit. I didn’t catch the name of our waitress, but her knowledge of the menu was top tier and all of the recommendations she gave were incredibly delicious (I’m so glad we asked her!). All of the other staff who checked on us throughout the evening were also spectacular and impressively charismatic. It was a bit of a special occasion for us and I consider it to be one of my top dining out experiences of all time. You have a wonderful venue and excellent food, but your staff are absolutely second to none and truly deserve recognition for their hospitality

We stopped here for a late lunch, and decided to split a pie in order to have room for dessert. We tried the black pudding Scotch egg which was especially good when paired with the sauce. The yolk was cooked perfectly with a creamy center.
We opted for the steak & kidney pie, and it was superb! It was the first time in my life I thought that kidneys were tasty. The kidney bits really complemented the richness of the steak and mushrooms.
Then we got a sticky-toffee pudding to share, and it was amazing! The cake was warm and not too sweet, which made it a perfect match for the ice cream and sweet caramel pool beneath it. Definitely one of the best desserts I've ever had.
The staff are friendly, and it's a really comfortable, clean space. Highly recommend!!

It’s a pub with the best pie!
If you love pie and mash this place is for you.
If I’m in London I go here for pie and mash it’s a simple dish but tastes good and is cooked well.
Steak pie is what I usually go for but I’ve also tried the chicken and both just as good as each other. I would recommend this food.
Pie is £25 which seems expensive for what it is but you are in Mayfair.
Always very busy so you may struggle to get a table.
Would I go back? Yes!

A nice pub in a good location, close to Regent Street and a shoŕt walk ftom Carnaby Street. They had three casks on but I opted for a double Woodford Reserve bourbon at a rather expensive £11.90. The main bar is fairly spacious and the restaurant bar is downstairs, accessed by going down four steps. They also have a restaurant upstairs. I was here at 4.30 on a Monday and it was fairly busy, due in part to a group of a dozen or so tourist. They do offer food with pies being a speciality. One downside for the less mobile is that the toilets are upstairs. I did enjoy my drink here, the bonus being around 20 different whiskies.

Great midweek treat, tucked away in Mayfair.
We had to make a hard choice as all the pies sounded delicious, we ended up with the steak and mushroom. Amazing quality and fantastic service from Danny - very attentive and accommodating. Thank you, we will be back!

A Hidden Gem in Cavendish Square!
I recently visited The Phoenix Pub and was blown away by the cozy atmosphere and great service. The pub has a charming, traditional vibe with modern touches that make it feel welcoming and relaxed. The staff are incredibly friendly, and you can tell they genuinely care about the experience they provide.
The food was delicious—try the fish and chips if you’re looking for something classic and comforting! Their selection of beers is impressive, with plenty of local options to choose from. Whether you’re here for a quiet drink or a lively evening with friends, this pub has the perfect setting.
Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area. Will definitely be coming back!

The atmosphere was lively and energetic without being overwhelming—a perfect balance. The staff, including the waiters and servers, were attentive, friendly, and professional, which really added to the experience. The overall quality, from the food to the service, was outstanding. Lovely place, great service and lovely atmosphere. We had the iftar set menu and my friends and I were impressed with the four mini starters we were each given: lentilsoup, hot flat bread, hummus, salad and cheese parcels. The flatbread was amazing and we filled up before the mains. I got the mamma Zohra chicken salad which was fresh and delicious. The dessert was a bit like a zesty creme caramel and gave me a nostalgia trip. The spaces are a bit tight, so if you're a big person you might find it a squeeze but we're tiny so all was good.

Yalla Yalla is an amazing and superb restaurant. The food was great. Customer service was top, friendly and very professional. You can pay by card and is not strictly cash. I highly recommend that restaurant. At least be ready to pay between £15 and £35 if you want to eat some foods from their menu. Their drinks especially their homemade lemonade is so delicious. Really worth it.

Tucked away behind the hustle and bustle of Oxford street is this Lebanese gem! The taste and presentation of the food was amazing however my only critique is that it felt as if it had been sat out for a while rather than cooked fresh. But nonetheless, it was still delicious. The service was also a 10/10 - I will definitely be coming back!

Was recommend Yalla Yalla by a colleague at work who had visited twice before and said the food was very good. I have tried Lebanese cuisine already but was open to trying a new place. We decided on a joint birthday dinner to celebrate.
We came on Fri 14-03-25 and were promptly seen to our seats, the restaurant wasn't packed as there was space but still a few others.
There is so much to choose from in both the Starters and Main Menu, it was hard to decide. My friends and I decided to share a portion of Falafel and Tony's Hummous. The Falafel was one of thee best I've ever had. Crispy on the outside and soft/moist on the inside - cooked to perfection. What's your secret? Tony's Hummous was nice and creamy with the olive oil and a bit of crunchy Cauliflower, I would have liked a bit more.
I decided to try the Spiced Lamb Flatbread, very tasty, melted in the mouth. Delicious.
Mains we had Lamb Kofta Grill, Cauliflower and Chickpea Tagine and Aubergine Tagine. The Lamb Kofta was delicious, very tender and spiced nicely. I would have liked a tad bit more rice but that is trivial. The meal was very tasty. The girls enjoyed their vegetarian options.
As it was my birthday I decided to treat myself to the Shambania Bellini Non Alcoholic cocktail which was very nice, sweet but not sickly. Like a nice fruity tropical punch. I also had the Leymona - Lemon and Lime Lemonade which was very refreshing. The girls had the Roomana, i tried a bit and it was okay but I like my citrus flavours.
Then lastly with desserts, I decided to go all out and had the Baklawa Selection and Portion of Ice-cream - One of each flavour, Chocolate, Vanilla and Pistachio. The baklawa was nice but a bit hard, it would have been nice if it was freshly made but it still tasted good. The ice-cream was very good.
The girls enjoyed their desserts, they had the Mango Cheesecake and Orange Blossom Mouhalabia.
Overall good portions, very good taste, great service and lovely ambience. A very nice evening out. Our waitress/staff were attentive and polite. Prices very reasonable. Would definitely recommend visiting here.
Easy to find, Winsley St is just after Sports Direct on Oxford St, opposite Marks and Spencers, just a few yards down.

Not Lebanese!
It seems that adding the word "Lebanese" to a restaurant is excellent for business. The food is delicious overall but definitely NOT Lebanese. It's a mix of Turkish, Moroccan, some Lebanese, and possibly a bunch of other cuisines.
The dishes, the presentation, the flavors, the decor, the staff, and the atmosphere are not Lebanese at all. Some Lebanese music was playing though.
The taouk platter was very dry and spices aren't Lebanese style. The kafta was very delicious and cooked well. The side salad that comes with both grill platters is definitely not Lebanese style. The rice that comes with them is also not a Lebanese thing. It should typically come with some hummus in the platter.
The hummus was overly sour and I have a good feeling it is canned hummus and comes with a type of bread on the side that is not Lebanese.
The service is alright (some staff members are friendly and engaging while others aren't cut out for the service industry).

We were underwhelmed with our afternoon of tea and cakes but the staff were so attentive that I've boosted what would have been a lower rating. We started with a glass of fizz which was surprisingly crisp and refreshing. Our initial round of espressos were lukewarm but our friendly server made adjustments and they were perfect for the rest of our visit. Desserts were almost all disappointing, which was a let down after enjoying such fresh, tasty sandwiches. The macarons however, were excellent. A pleasant experience though I'm not sure that we will return.

I don't know what they do to beef, but it is the bomb. It made me cry tears of joy. I'm not joking. I have visited this place 4 times and never been disappointed. The service is exceptional - they even always remember which is my favourite wine The chips and side dishes are also really good - I particularly like the onion & tomato salad with fresh herbs. Discovered L'express Coffee Company while dining nearby.
This no frills eatery captivated me because you choose what you want for a fixed price.
Prices start at 6.90 to 10.50.
So obviously for 10.50 you can have everything in the cheaper range.
The 9.50 is probably sufficient as the 10.50 box is just wider.
I chose the 10.50 because for that selection there was lasagne, chicken curry, chilli con carne, peri peri chicken, rice noodles which are all my favourites and additionally I can get anything from the other range like houmous, salad etc.
I got mainly the hot items because it was the things I wanted so imagine how joyful it was having chili con carne, lasagne and curry in one meal.
The chicken curry was really comforting as it was just like the school one while the chili con carne and lasagne were just as good.
The potatoes wedges were to my liking as they were soft and fluffy.
You can also order sandwiches and baked potatoes at the far end.
According to the internet, they used to be located in Holborn.
Will definitely return.
There is seating outside so on a pleasant day it's a great place to enjoy the food.

Had a great experience at Golden Union recently. The atmosphere strikes a nice balance - welcoming and comfortable without being too casual or too upscale for what you'd expect from a fish and chips spot.
The service was reliably good throughout our visit. Staff were attentive without being intrusive, and our order came out at a reasonable pace.
As for the food - it definitely delivered. The fish was fresh and the batter had that perfect golden crisp you're looking for, while the chips were properly cooked with fluffy interiors. Everything tasted as good as it looked, which isn't always a given.
Overall, Golden Union hits the marks you want from a fish and chips restaurant. Good food, decent service, and a pleasant place to enjoy your meal. Would recommend if you're in the area and craving some quality fish and chips.

I firmly believe that we should put the north and south divide to rest. Northerners prefer haddock and everything fried in tallow, whereas we southerners are more used to the subtle tasting cod and vegetable oils for frying. Simple case of each to their own.
The fish and chips served here is never cheap but the freshness and cooking justify the price. My fish portion was actually more akin to a child’s portion. Any chippy that features proper pork sausages on its menu is my kinda chippy.

Great atmosphere at Golden Union! The place feels cozy and lively. Aurore, our waitress, was super friendly and really helpful — she even spoke French with us, which made things easier. The food was tasty, no doubt about it, but wow… it was very greasy. I think my fish and chips are still sliding around in my stomach like they’re on an oil slick!
Still, worth the visit if you’re craving a classic British treat with a warm welcome.
