Staying at St. James Sofitel in London was a fantastic experience! The location is perfect, just a short walk from Buckingham Palace and Trafalgar Square. The service is top-notch, with staff who go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The breakfast was delicious and had plenty of options. Despite its central location, the rooms are incredibly quiet and the beds are super comfortable, making it easy to get a great night's sleep. Highly recommended for anyone visiting London!

We picked your hotel via American Express Hotel program. We were extremely happy with our decision. The rooms were fantastic, the service throughout the hotel top notch! We especially enjoyed drinks in the bar and Mikey the bartender made our visit the best!

Our stay overall was fabulous. The hotel is in a great location. The staff at the hotel are excellent. Always smiling and ready to assist. The concierge team were best in class and so attentive, from directions, to getting taxis answering questions. The daily breakfast which was included in our package was great. Fresh food and great service. The ladies in the Rose room were wonderful.
The only negative was the bed was not comfortable as the mattress seemed worn and sloped down on one side. I also did not like the location of the room as the window faced outside another building - so could not see outside and it made the room dark. All in all, I would definitely come back and stay at this hotel!

First Michelin Star Experience:
Had lunch with friends at Veeraswamy, and there's no strict dress code for lunch, just smart casual—so no tracksuits, torn jeans, or baseball caps, and try to avoid bringing backpacks if possible. The food was fantastic, truly up to the Michelin star standard, with impeccable presentation. My most favourite one was the lamb chops. Why am I saying this? Probably lamb chops cooked in an Indian style is to live for and die for. I also enjoyed the Pineapple juice, it was probably the best one I'll have till I die. Overall, we had a delightful meal, and the staff were very polite. The desserts were good, though not quite on par with other Michelin star restaurants per my friend's thoughts. This was my first Michelin star experience, and I'm looking forward to many more in the future.
PS: Children under 10 are strictly not allowed.

We had a celebratory dinner at Veeraswamy for my parent’s anniversary. This is a great flagship restaurant (not going to lie, I felt astonished by the interior more than the food) under the India Collection. The oldest Indian restaurant in London and possibly in the entire UK.
But don’t get me wrong, the food is delicious indeed but not as quite on par with the price levels. Starters are a bit pricey for an Indian restaurant compared to its sister’s restaurant (Masala Zone) and some of its relatively cheaper competitors. Also where I live I can easily get access to lots of Indian food options within a few mins away. Hence it wasn’t that authentic as I felt, just a cool clever branded restaurant. Go for the experience regardless.
Mains were limited to basically duck, chicken and just one-two fish and lamb dishes. The food options felt basic, dessert menu was quite interesting because it sounded very authentic and locally Indian than the mains and starters.
However, the menu selection does offer vegetarian and Halal options. The options are great in size for the table to share.
The place has a ton of history. The decoration highlights this and adds to the atmosphere of the place. The staff were polite and welcoming. They knew the menu very well and were able to help with questions and selection.
It is pricey for a reason (it’s a Michelin starred and we spend £278) so do bear this in mind before stepping in this ostentatious place. Again, the price may not reflect on the quality of the food standards, but it’s a worth an adventure to encounter. You’ll be looked after well, the waiters are very friendly and approachable. Not the usual crowd you’ll notice in other basic Indian restaurant elsewhere in London.

We had a lovely celebratory lunch here. We found the biriyani lacking in flavour but the manager very quickly addressed this. The naan was soft and well made. I wasn’t blown away by our starters nor mains but we were looked after well. It was a nice touch to take note of our special occasion with a delicious chocolate congratulatory cake

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch here. The food was divine, especially the Vegetarian Silver Crescent main dish platter. The paneer was stuffed with malai kofta and was delicious. We enjoyed the samosa starter as well, and everything was michelin star standard. Service was very courteous. We had our water glasses filled up before we could ask for more and the waiters were very polite. The ambience was very authentic and grand, with Indian decor throughout the restaurant. We will recommend to our friends because it’s a special South Indian michelin restaurant.

I always try to head back to Bocca di Lupo for a meal when I am in London, and it never disappoints. The service and staff are genuine, welcoming, and warm, and the food is delicious. We had the ravioli this past meal, and it was so good, we ordered another portion. The friend that I took with me said it was her best meal in London (and we had been to several outstanding places). Snag a seat at the counter to watch the action and maybe have a chat or two with your neighbors and make new friends. Once you’re done, pop across the street to get a gelato to help digest the meal properly. You’ll be glad you did.

We enjoyed our meal very much, love everything we ordered and the manager (also a qualified sommelier) recommended us a really nice Chardonnay to go with our foods. Like the open kitchen and the staff are really friendly and attentive! Downsides were the Sicilian cake was too sweet and we were placed to an area close to the kitchen, slightly annoyed with how noisy it is when the staff was drying the cutlery. It’s otherwise a perfect evening for us.

Simply fabulous. The teams that run both service and the chef brigade are brilliant. It’s like a home from home, made to feel special, the theatre of the open kitchen (love sitting at the counter), brilliant menu/food, extensive varied drinks/wine. A very happy place that you always leave smiling and well looked after. Every visit over the last 10 years plus has been nothing short of exceptional. Bravo!

What a gem of a restaurant! We chose seating at the bar and I’m so glad we did, watching the amazing chefs at work made the food taste even better, if that was at all possible. We also opted for small plates to share to get the most of the amazing menu. The team helped us smoothly navigate the choices on the menus and substantial wine choices and everything we had was absolutely amazing.
This place, the amazing service and wonderful ambiance means that even though this was my first visit, it certainly won’t be my last.

Absolutely 10 out of 10!
Great experience in a stunning location in the heart of London.
With refined food and super fresh quality, the selection of each plate is something next-level.
Great cocktails menu and alcool-free too.
Dessert is something you must to try even if you are full!
A special thanks to all the amazing team who took care of us, incredibly careful with the service.
Solid 5 stars, I'll be back for sure!

We stayed here for our family vacation to London. This is a great location, and within mins of everything. Very convenient walking distance to major entertainment and food options. The staff here are amazing and helpful. The place is very clean and our entire room was full windows and views! Now, the only issue I had was the bathroom. Fixtures were loose, I needed to tighten the shower head myself. Some of the tiles were cracked, the toilet seat was loose, and the toilet paper holder fell off the wall. The worst part was that shower controls were very loose and hard to get a temperature every use. Other than that, the bed was very comfortable, we had a lot of closet space and a mini fridge in our room. Across the street, there are amazing options for a quick breakfast, too. And one block up, you will find many options for dining and entertainment.

Incredible customer service! We checked into our room and found that it was a wheelchair accessible room, the AC was not working and it had a strong odor of glue from the renovations. We spoke with the front desk and although they had no rooms to switch us to, the manager arranged for us to go to their sister hotel (only a block away), he walked us down to the room himself to have us check and see if it was satisfactory, then helped us switch over (even offered to help personally with luggage). He arranged for us to have our breakfast for free and sent up a bottle of champagne to our new room. Absolutely fantastic customer service!

Just got back from a trip to London. The hotel is situated in a fantastic location, right on the edge of Soho and Trafalgar Square. The hotel staff were extremely helpful. I called in the day before my arrival requested somewhere to leave my luggage as we were arriving early. The lady I spoke to organising for my room to be ready, which it was, so I managed to check in at 8:30am instead of 3pm.
The room was very spacious with a huge bed, and everything else you would expect to see.

The reception staff here was super friendly and helpful. The room itself was big but a bit on the shabby side. The bathroom wasnt very clean with black mold on the tiles and the drain cover popping up but nice walk in shower with good pressure. Even the hallways were a bit shabby. They had signs saying they were upgrading though so might get nicer. It was an amazing location! Super easy to get to all the main sights or main tube stops. Overall would stay again just hope the renovations include fixing up some of the more outdated parts of rooms and cleaning gets better

First time here. The restaurant is a very pleasant place. Inside is posh, cosy and very modern. Outside they have a nice big garden which is very comfy, clean and well arranged. Everything we have ordered was tasty. Service is fast and professional. The prices are high but take in fact that this is central London. The location of the restaurant is in a small street which isn’t busy.
I recommend.

Absolutely everything we ate was delicious, from the steaks to the fish to the starters. Even the broccoli was the amazing. Service was fantastic, presentation and atmosphere was beautiful. We had a very lovely time for my husbands birthday. They brought out a delicious little cake to celebrate him free of charge and it tasted phenomenal. Honestly such a wonderful place, we will definitely be back. We couldn’t even wait to take some pictures. I I’ll definitely be back and 10000% recommend you visit.

Server was really good, he shared today's beef selection, explained the cuts. The steak was cooked to your preference. Ribeye to me was the best out of the trio, however, this is my personal preference. Each person had their own. The drinks menu was excellent since it provided a diagram to show the tasting notes of each drink.

Visited Gaucho when in London for a quick visit. We had not made reservations but were welcomed and offered to be seated inside or outside.
We chose outside as the sun was shining and took advantage of their set price garden menu.
Staff were excellent and we followed their recommendations for each course.
Food was delicious and we were so pleased when we were presented with 3 complimentary glasses of bubbly to help us celebrate our daughter getting a new job overseas.
Will definitely visit again when in London.

Good customer services and nicely designed. the scallops starter was the star of the show! however our steaks were very salty, we aren’t the type to complain but we gave a feedback when asked. The gentleman nicely discounted our meal.

Delicious food in a great environment. Our waiter confused our order, but accidents happen and it didn’t spoil the high quality of the food. Everything tasted fresh and delicious and there was a good wine menu.

WOW! My new favourite French restaurant!
A cosy, lively restaurant serving french food, with lively nostalgic music and a gorgeous hubbub of friendly chatter. The seating is very close together to make the restaurant cosy, the menu is a concise display of classic french dishes. I recommend the grilled Atlantic Cod, it was very tasty and perfectly balanced. The niçoise salad was fresh and delicious.
I’m disappointed in the bread selection as I expected more bread and for it to be sliced.
The calamari was fresh and tender!
Despite being sat in the corner, I thoroughly enjoyed my visit at Randall & Aubin’s.
The service took a while but the restaurant was fully packed. The white wine was outstanding I believe it was the pinot grigio.
I will definitely be returning as I would love to try the fresh crab and the bouillabaisse.
Bravo!

Had some really good food here. The seafood tower was worth it to try all the seafood. Everything was fresh and tasty. However the main highlight was the Ravioli special of the day and the rock shrimp tempura! These two dishes were really good and unique.
Perfect date spot for some really good seafood but the restaurant itself is very loud so I wouldn’t say it’s a spot to meet someone new. Our waiter was also very nice and attentive.
I would recommend this place for the fresh sea food

Was there in October 2021 and it was fantastic. When we arrived I thought oh no, shared bench tables. Shouldn’t have worried as it was great. Every course was really good as was the service. For my main course I took the crab, wish I had ordered the dressed one as going non dressed was a lot of work!
Great atmosphere as well, we went at a lunch time and lucky we booked as the place was packed, always a good sign.

Too loud. Really you can’t talk, you shout. It’s a huge drawback. Great food and drinks, however self service. If you sit upstairs you need go several level down to reach wc. It’s a huge bar with nice deco and live music. Bit was indeed too loud.

Great hidden pub in London just around the corner from Lester Square and a tasty pint of Guinness £7.49 a pint the Guinness and beef pie was very tasty. The staff I came across where really friendly and chatty. I must say the multiple bars inside where all decorated like traditional Irish pubs in Ireland it felt like I walk into Ireland I've been there a few times myself

🚇 Piccadilly Circus
🍺 £7.40 Guinness
A Popular Tourist Destination.
Waxy O’Connor’s is located in the southern part of Soho close to Leicester Square. The nearest Tube is Piccadilly Circus.
The pub is named after a Waxy O'Connor who was born in Dublin in 1788. Waxy made his living as a candle-maker, hence the nickname.
This has to be one of most unique drinking establishments in the whole of London. The pub is set out over many floors and levels starting with a smallish bar at ground level. Head further in and you arrive into a cavernous underground space accessible by down two sweeping staircases. At the heart of the pub is a giant preserved beech tree which is 200 years old. Other key features are the timber carvings, stained glass windows, beautifully tiled floors, stone walls and cushioned pews. On the your way down to the basement bar there is a multitude of nooks and crannies to settle into.
The beer line up is all keg with a mix of mainstream and craft beer options. I decided on a pint of Guinness, to be fair it was a decent pint, but at £7.40 this was the most expensive Guinness I ever bought. There is a simple food menu available of Pies and Burgers, Fish & Chips is available at £17.
I have visited this pub numerous times over the years and pretty much had the same experience. Waxy’s is a magnet for tourists and large groups which means it’s usually pretty lively.
The pub hosts live music seven nights a week and has eight big screens for major live sporting events.
Waxy O’Connor’s isn’t my cup of tea or pint of Guinness for that matter, i’m not sure about the Irish Pub tag either. This place will appeal to the excited tourist and day trippers out on a West End bender. I do love the decor here which I thought looked amazing. This is a pub should definitely visit once.

Al Duca - what a great experience! My only regret is that I didn’t order the fresh made carbonara pasta. Affordable night out, very attractive place with a nice structured menu. The cherry on top of the cake was the almond liquor served with canolis. Delicious! Will definitely come back!

I was expecting real authentic Japanese sushi with Japanese Chefs. Sadly it wasn’t and the taste is kinda westernised.
Having said that, taste is acceptable considering the value. Big portion. If you really miss sushi with conveyor belt, it is worth trying.
But it’s nothing close to sushi u have in Japan, sorry.

Found this place on an evening in Soho after not being able to find space anywhere else (surprisingly busy for a Wednesday). So I kept walking and saw the window plastered with all these awards. Did a quick google maps check and said yep let’s eat here.
They are unpretentious, great and friendly service, really high quality, reasonably priced sushi and food! I found myself craving it the next day…
Conveyor belt sushi, pay by plate, prices are up on the walls and on the menu which you can also order from. The Chefs are preparing the food right in front of you. Everything you’ll need is on your take at the bar, tissues, chopsticks, pickled ginger, wasabi etc..
I highly recommend and will definitely return soon.

Having been to Japan which is my top-of-the-list country, this restaurant is the one that resembles the most to those in Japan which I love so much. The food is excellent, the details, the green tea, the staff and the cosiness. I think it’s run by a Japanese family.
