4 Star Rating Very good pub, with great ambiance and there was even live music. The staff is absolutely fantastic and very kind. I just took 1 star off as the food was good but my dish was quite cold. The fish however was perfect cooked and warm, so I imagine it was because they reheated the beans. But overall a very nice place with good value

3 Star Rating I came here for Sunday roast and the atmosphere and pub itself was really nice however there are a few pain points.

The vegetarian roast was half an aubergine as a meat replacement and although the menu says all roasts come with a Yorkshire, it didn’t and upon ordering one as the plate is otherwise solely vegetables (for £18), I was charged and extra £1.50 for it?

The service was friendly but most seemed super stressed. We had our orders taken but had to ask for the Yorkshire pudding twice and then weren’t ever checked on after ordering.

Overall, it’s a nice pub when it’s not busy but felt like £30 for an aubergine and veg roast with a pint of cider was too much.

2 Star Rating It's a lovely little pub with a good atmosphere but I probably won't be going back for their food which was very disappointing. I ordered the pork sausages with mash and bacon and lentils. I got two sausages and mash covered in lentils. I found one or two tiny pieces of bacon but that was it and it had no taste of bacon at all. It was dry and bland. I then ordered the sticky toffee pudding which was essentially cake with sticky toffee sauce on it. When you make sticky toffee pudding correctly you allow it to sit in lots of sauce so that the cake part absorbs all the sauce and becomes moist and sticky. Hence 'sticky toffee pudding' I couldn't even finish it it was so dry. We also got brought a bottle of water when we sat down...which we were then charged for. The waitering staff kindly removed it from our bill saying it was for charity....which I found very odd. How can you give your customers something (seemingly for free) and then bill them? It's such a shame about the food...

3 Star Rating Lovely staff. Super friendly. I liked the yellow peas hummus. Not a big fan of the celeriac and squash fritters. They were very oily and the chilli sauce needed a lot more chilli. My burger was nice, specially the chips. Super crispy. The house pickle could do with a but more vinegar or pickling time.

5 Star Rating The atmosphere was so quaint and lovely. It was very wonderful English experience of an awesome pub. I highly recommend you try this place while in London. The service was a 10 out of 10. The food and drinks were all phenomenal. I wish I had gone a few more times to try other items on the menu. I got this pizza for the lady at the next table and a fabulous looking pizza and I just couldn’t turn it down!

We Ended up going somewhere else after 1st drinks because we wasn't willing to go through that ordeal again. I hope they aren't like this with other customers but for our first time we won't be going again. Merry Christmas 🎅

4 Star Rating I got delivery from them and the food was tasty - I particularly loved the Saag Bhaji! Super tasty with excellent balance of garlic. I’m only taking 1 star off because the vegetable curry and Bhuna were incredibly oily, it was far too much oil. Great mix of vegetables though and the chicken was cooked very well - tender, hot and plump.

5 Star Rating I absolutely loved my lunch here. The atmosphere was very warm and inviting with very nice decor and seating. I like how the restaurant was very well themed to match its vibe. The menu was a little bit pricey, but had a great range of different types of food. The service was quick and very friendly, the kind of service you would want in a restaurant. We ordered the nachos as a starter, which were absolutely delicious! Probably the best nachos I’ve ever had. For the main, I ordered a beef burger which was very tasty, and so were the chips that came with it. However the chips would probably be a bit better with a bit more salt. Overall, I had a lovely lunch here and would DEFINITELY recommend this place. All restaurants should take note. Thanks Bob!

I thought that was very strange. Through half of our dinner. They told us it was last call. They opened all the doors and started to collect tables and clean up. Cold air blowing through to help is leave. Basically seemed they were kicking us out. Food was good quality but not for the price also menu very limited. Just the basics and nothing special. 4 Star Rating Starbucks is always nice, more attention to the service. I paid almost 10 pounds and the spoon for my cappuccino wasn't included. 5 Star Rating I have been in more Starbucks than I can count…in countries all over the world. But this Starbucks stands out. It’s more like your friendly neighborhood shop than an impersonal chain shop. In fact, this morning…I traveled 1.3 miles to get here when there was another Starbucks a few steps away. Incredible service is what makes this place stand out. No one who comes here leaves without feeling valued. In an increasingly impersonal world, it’s nice to see a chain restaurant make you feel at home. Kudos to Eddie especially, but all the staff are terrific! Congrats Starbucks…you got this one right.

5 Star Rating Extremely large portions (even for US standards). Got the mixed platter for two, I liked the white tail, mushrooms, scampi, and calamari (in that order). Also got the large Haddock with fries and Cod with potatoes (not pictured). Everything fried came out piping hot and no sogginess which was great to see. The Haddock was firm and full of flavor and the Cod was buttery and flaky. Tartar sauce came in a condiments squeeze bottle too which was awesome since I love a lot of tartar sauce. Fries were normal fries.

4 Star Rating I was keen to try this restaurant and had high hopes. The food was good, but the meat in my rendang was quite tough. It feels somewhat unfair to judge the atmosphere just before closing time but it was a little cold and bleak at 9.30pm and smelled strongly of the spray being used to clean up. I'd probably go back a bit earlier next time and try something different

5 Star Rating If you love nasi lemak, please visit. If you visit, please order nasi lemak. The nasi lemak here is so exceptional that I’d revisit just for it, even if I were in Malaysia. Every detail and ingredient are perfect; the fried chicken is expertly marinated with herbs and spices, fried to order. The ikan bilis is fresh, light, and crispy — a rarity in London. The peanuts are freshly fried and exude a delightful fragrance. The coconut rice is fragrant, fluffy, and has the perfect consistency, a true celebration of coconut. Even the boiled egg tastes like egg, and the cucumber like cucumber. The homemade sambal strikes the right balance, not overly sweet, and you can ask for more without extra charge, a generous touch unlike Roti King. Undoubtedly, this is the best nasi lemak I’ve ever had in the UK, with no competitors in sight. (I have had plenty) I also tried their laksa; while not as rich and aromatic as I hoped, it’s decent. The homemade soup base sets it apart, and the abundance of good quality toppings earns it a point. (And it won’t leave you parched like Roti King’s.) While not the most affordable Malaysian restaurant, it’s arguably the most cost-effective. They’re generous with toppings and portions and maintain the highest quality. The service is also commendable — attentive and friendly. I hope they continue this standard, and I wish them continued success.
