3 Star Rating My partner took me for dinner and it was nice and welcoming and in a nice situation. The food was tasty and we enjoyed each course (bread was delicious). Sadly the servers were a little to attentive and it was a little to much. Nice meal and nice place. I know service charge is discretionary but you feel bad taking it off and at 15% added to the bill is a lot on an expensive meal. 12.5% is still high but 15% means you pay around £20 extra on a meal for 2 people. That sadly puts me off, I won’t ask them to take it off as the service was ok overall.

5 Star Rating We were in London for some business. Looked around and saw this restaurant. It was definitely a good choice. The service from when we arrived to when we left was all really fantastic. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. The food was really good. Full of flavour and really well presented. We tried a few things from the menu and shared. They were all absolutely perfect. Coffee is excellent too. Service was fast, despite being very busy. All really great, thanks so much for having us!

5 Star Rating What an amazing place to host a private dinner / event! I hosted a hen do here and the venue was beyond perfect, very accommodating and helpful and ultimately a brilliant space and meal! The staff were exceptional, very friendly and made the event run very smoothly- special shoutout to Andrei ahead of the event and Judy and her team on the night. If you are considering booking I would say don’t hold back - perfect restaurant!

5 Star Rating Nice bar and kitchen below the Royal Court theatre. It was very busy before a show so definitely book ahead. There's a really decent drinks range for every taste at usual London prices. The food, considering the limited time the kitchen is open is good, mostly plant based. I went for a few small plates (3 for £13 or so) which were a perfect pre-theatre snack between two. The service is quick, efficient and friendly. Even if you're not visiting the theatre here it's well worth a visit as it has a great atmosphere...just check the limited opening times.

2 Star Rating Be warned - the wine they serve by the glass is from a keg. My friend complained about the odd taste. The bartender shrugged her shoulders and didn't offer a replacement. I felt obliged to buy our group a bottle... which turned out to be overpriced. This didn't feel good enough for an established theatre bar.

2 Star Rating I ordered a margarita and it was very sour and tasted quite synthetic. I returned to the bar and there was not an apology nor an offer to remake it. Poor customer service and low quality of drinks. (The manager commented on my review straight away, encouraging me to be in touch and I did indeed, and haven't heard anything from them for a week. This attitude can be considered as another evidence of poor customer service!).

5 Star Rating 🚇 Sloane Square 🍺 £6.05 Moretti ❤️ A welcoming traditional pub with a great locals feel. . This was my second pub on a crawl around the southern end of Belgravia and definitely my favourite. This pub is the full package and delivers on every aspect of what makes a pub great. The building is a simple elegant 19th century corner pub which is set amongst the beautiful Victorian properties than line the surrounding streets. Inside there is a central horseshoe bar with cheery traditional decor and a very vibrant pub carpet, the likes of which I’ve never seen before. There are a pair of Wellington’s replica boots above the bar which has inspired the locals to rename the pub “The Duke of Boots”. The beer choice here is excellent, the pub offers five cask options. I had a Moretti because I’m a beer heathen which was a decent well kept pint and slightly above average price. The pub has a popular reasonably priced British classics menu, Fish & Chips will set you back just over £13. The service here is superb, there were two French Guys who ensured everyone was well catered for and looked after. The atmosphere here was great, there was a mix of couples enjoying lunch, one larger group having the craic and in the corner of the pub there was a group of older gentlemen discussing everything from Boris and his political position to Australian lockdown rules, nothing was off topic. . The true test of a great pub is how the local community support it in response to what a pub offers them. The @dukesw1w offers a great pub experience which is full of character and characters, great beer and food. If you’re visiting the Kings Road/Sloane Square area, go grab a drink or a bit of grub at this wonderful @shepherneame pub. . 📊 Information correct on visiting 29/01/22

The eponymous Duke is celebrated here with pictures adorning the walls and a fireplace, perhaps similar to the one whence his violin was consigned. The rest, as they say is history. A lovely pub to Pop into for a drink or two.

5 Star Rating We had a truly wonderful dining experience here. The restaurant has a warm and cozy atmosphere, with a charming rustic décor and thoughtful little touches that make you feel at home. The seating area is decorated with patterned fabrics, cushions, and soft lighting, which creates a welcoming and intimate setting. The food was excellent from start to finish. We began with classic French starters – the escargots baked in herb butter were perfectly prepared, and the asparagus with hollandaise was fresh and delicious. For mains, we had a grilled salmon with lemon and sauce on the side, and a rich chicken and mushroom dish in creamy sauce – both full of flavour and cooked with great care. Everything was beautifully presented on traditional plates that added to the authentic feel. Desserts were a highlight – the crème brûlée was perfectly caramelised, and the vanilla ice cream was smooth and refreshing. Service was attentive, friendly, and at just the right pace. The wine complemented the dishes beautifully, and the overall experience was one of relaxed enjoyment. This is a restaurant that combines charm, atmosphere, and excellent food. Highly recommended – we will definitely be returning.

5 Star Rating Lovely atmosphere, and great food. The standouts were the Coq Au Vin and the sirloin. The Tarte tatin was also incredible. The servers were attentive and quick. The only minor couple issues that I had were that the wait times were rather long between courses (though we were a group of 6, so that might've been why). Additionally, the vegetable sides were a little underwhelming. Other than that, great place which I'd definitely come back to.

3 Star Rating I really enjoy what Daylesford offers and visit occasionally, as although it is expensive, the food quality is usually worth it. However, on my last visit we ordered two soups for a quick lunch and were asked if we’d like bread, mentioning it was extra. We agreed without thinking, only to find we were charged £6 for three plain slices of toasted sourdough—no butter or accompaniment on top of £11 per soup. I understand premium pricing, but this felt excessive and disappointing.

3 Star Rating I visited today and though the ground level was really nice and colourful the upstairs cafe was so bland and boring. My wife and I only had tea and a shared muffin so I can’t comment on the other food choices but they did look nice. We asked for a pot of tea for two but were given two separate pots. It was £9.50 for what we had, (includes one small muffin) which is expensive. When I went to pay there was the option of a ‘optional service charge’ to which I declined, this didn’t stop our server from asking that the £10 I gave was not enough. I explained that I didn’t want to pay the additional charge as it was optional. I’ve been to other organic places before and I felt this place could have made the cafe part so much more inviting. As I said at the start it’s all bland, there’s some small plants on the tables but there isn’t any green inside growing in big pots only outside which is such a shame.

2 Star Rating Bit of a mixed bag. Very good liver. But the monkfish was inedible (probably from frozen). Mash watery and tasted like smash, the courgette fritters must have been hanging around the kitchen for a long time. The claimed chocolate "souffle" isn't a proper souffle at all. The pasta seemed perfectly fine. Service is excellent as it the atmosphere. Suggest if you go avoid the fish and stick with pasta and don't have dessert.

5 Star Rating I had such a wonderful time at Hunan. I’m a huge fan of the no menu concept as I eat everything and love the flexibility it gives the kitchen. Every item I ate was delicious and balanced and was served at the perfect temperature. Highlights for me were the broth served at the start, the pork in a bag and the xiao long bao. The noodles were also so simple but packed such a punch in flavour, I could’ve eaten more and more. Considering the amount of courses, the portion sizes and flavours all balanced out well. Nothing was too overpowering and we were given a chilli oil that added a wonderful kick if needed. We all had a few cocktails which were all excellent. Service was fantastic and the team even sang happy birthday to my friend. Overall it was a brilliant and unique experience I would recommend, and would try again.

4 Star Rating Had a great experience at Hunan! The set menu offers a real taste of authentic Chinese food, and you can tell a lot of care goes into the dishes. The staff were super friendly and attentive, which made the meal even better. A few dishes could use a bit of improvement flavor-wise, but overall everything was tasty and nicely presented. The only downside was the bathroom — it wasn’t very well equipped and could definitely use a little upgrade. Still, it’s a cozy spot with great service and a menu that feels genuinely Chinese. I’d definitely come back again once they make a few small tweaks!

There was definitely a lot of food (come hungry!), but everything was beautifully prepared and full of flavour. 5 Star Rating Absolutely the most fun dinner! Everyone who works there is super attentive and lovely. The sampling menu showcased some very local English ingredients reimagined under a Chinese lens, resulting in very flavourful bites. We thought that maybe some of them (in sequence) utilised the same seasoning/spices, making them less distinguishable. Mains were super delicious, massive portions! Would definitely recommend the stir-fried handmade noodles. Oh and desserts were heavenly!! As a life long lover of fried banana, definitely a highlight. It is quite an expensive meal, but worth it so save for special occasions.

2 Star Rating As a local, I’ve been to Colbert a few times, always hoping it will finally live up to its reputation. Unfortunately, yesterday was no different. The whole experience feels transactional rather than welcoming. The host is consistently unapproachable. Unfriendly, unsmiling, and setting the tone for the rest of the visit. Most of the waiting staff (with the exception of a lovely Black lady) looked bored and disengaged. Our table wasn’t cleaned properly between dishes, and no napkins were offered with dessert. Are guests meant to wipe their mouths on the tablecloth? Service was inexplicably slow, especially given the restaurant was half empty. We were seated by the window, where a strong draught made the temperature genuinely unpleasant. The waiter shrugged and said there was nothing he could do. The crowd is mixed: from people quietly enjoying their dinner, to entitled families who shout their way through the meal as if they're in their living room. We were unlucky enough to be next to the latter. The food is hit or miss. The beetroot salad was forgettable: small and lacking flavour. The steak entrecôte was fine but unremarkable, and the fries were burnt and overcooked. The banana split was the only thing that genuinely impressed. Every time I return, I hope the experience will have improved. It never does.

3 Star Rating The croque OG (£12.50) felt poor value when you compare it to the Brasserie Breakfast proposition on the same menu. For that price, it should be cooked and finished properly, not something that comes out in 2 minutes and eats like a pre-made item reheated quickly. The edges were over-toasted/bitter (visible in the photo), while the top was barely gratinéed, and the filling was minimal. If you’re charging near “full breakfast” money, the execution needs to match.
