5 Star Rating Visited again this Wednesday, we arrived without a booking and the queue was huge, but the staff were incredibly accommodating and managed to squeeze us in after a short wait. Special thanks to the lovely lady at the reception, for being so warm and helpful throughout. And also to the other women next to her, who I think may be the owner, for being so welcoming and attentive despite how busy everything was. You can really feel how much they care about the experience. I had the carbonara this time and it was honestly one of the best I’ve had in a long time. The atmosphere, service, and food are consistently excellent every time we come here.

3 Star Rating My partner took me for dinner and it was nice and welcoming and in a nice situation. The food was tasty and we enjoyed each course (bread was delicious). Sadly the servers were a little to attentive and it was a little to much. Nice meal and nice place. I know service charge is discretionary but you feel bad taking it off and at 15% added to the bill is a lot on an expensive meal. 12.5% is still high but 15% means you pay around £20 extra on a meal for 2 people. That sadly puts me off, I won’t ask them to take it off as the service was ok overall.

5 Star Rating Wow, I was so impressed. We came here for a date night for an important anniversary and were not disappointed, the food was superb. To top it off the staff really made sure to check that we were happy with our meal without overcrowding us, as if they knew the exact moment to ask and check in! In particular when my partner ordered me a dessert to say happy anniversary while I used the bathroom, the manager came out personally to greet us and offer his best wishes. I really appreciated how special it was made. We’d definitely return here again.

5 Star Rating Nice bar and kitchen below the Royal Court theatre. It was very busy before a show so definitely book ahead. There's a really decent drinks range for every taste at usual London prices. The food, considering the limited time the kitchen is open is good, mostly plant based. I went for a few small plates (3 for £13 or so) which were a perfect pre-theatre snack between two. The service is quick, efficient and friendly. Even if you're not visiting the theatre here it's well worth a visit as it has a great atmosphere...just check the limited opening times.

2 Star Rating Be warned - the wine they serve by the glass is from a keg. My friend complained about the odd taste. The bartender shrugged her shoulders and didn't offer a replacement. I felt obliged to buy our group a bottle... which turned out to be overpriced. This didn't feel good enough for an established theatre bar.

2 Star Rating I ordered a margarita and it was very sour and tasted quite synthetic. I returned to the bar and there was not an apology nor an offer to remake it. Poor customer service and low quality of drinks. (The manager commented on my review straight away, encouraging me to be in touch and I did indeed, and haven't heard anything from them for a week. This attitude can be considered as another evidence of poor customer service!).

5 Star Rating The Duke of Wellington is a lovely, welcoming local pub with plenty of appeal and charm, typical of a local. The staff were warm and friendly. I only had one pint, but it was very well served. And considering the location of the pub (Belgravia), I thought the price of the pint was reasonably priced too. I visited the Duke of Wellington on 09.04.2026.

5 Star Rating 🚇 Sloane Square 🍺 £6.05 Moretti ❤️ A welcoming traditional pub with a great locals feel. . This was my second pub on a crawl around the southern end of Belgravia and definitely my favourite. This pub is the full package and delivers on every aspect of what makes a pub great. The building is a simple elegant 19th century corner pub which is set amongst the beautiful Victorian properties than line the surrounding streets. Inside there is a central horseshoe bar with cheery traditional decor and a very vibrant pub carpet, the likes of which I’ve never seen before. There are a pair of Wellington’s replica boots above the bar which has inspired the locals to rename the pub “The Duke of Boots”. The beer choice here is excellent, the pub offers five cask options. I had a Moretti because I’m a beer heathen which was a decent well kept pint and slightly above average price. The pub has a popular reasonably priced British classics menu, Fish & Chips will set you back just over £13. The service here is superb, there were two French Guys who ensured everyone was well catered for and looked after. The atmosphere here was great, there was a mix of couples enjoying lunch, one larger group having the craic and in the corner of the pub there was a group of older gentlemen discussing everything from Boris and his political position to Australian lockdown rules, nothing was off topic. . The true test of a great pub is how the local community support it in response to what a pub offers them. The @dukesw1w offers a great pub experience which is full of character and characters, great beer and food. If you’re visiting the Kings Road/Sloane Square area, go grab a drink or a bit of grub at this wonderful @shepherneame pub. . 📊 Information correct on visiting 29/01/22

4 Star Rating Authentic French restaurant with good French home-style cuisine. We had lunch at this place yesterday. When we arrived, we asked for a table outside. Despite 80% of tables outside being empty staff assured us that they had all tables booked and people were going to start to arrive (as it was the last day of Chelsea Flower Show, which we had the pleasure to attend as well). We only asked for 40 minutes to have a quick bite, but were told it was impossible. It was quite nice (albeit dark) inside and we had a lovely lunch and good service. I couldn’t believe my eyes when we were leaving in 40 minutes that half of the tables outside were still empty. It was disappointing to be deprioritised as a customer for no reason thinking we could have had a completely different experience at this place - it was a lovely day.

5 Star Rating We had a truly wonderful dining experience here. The restaurant has a warm and cozy atmosphere, with a charming rustic décor and thoughtful little touches that make you feel at home. The seating area is decorated with patterned fabrics, cushions, and soft lighting, which creates a welcoming and intimate setting. The food was excellent from start to finish. We began with classic French starters – the escargots baked in herb butter were perfectly prepared, and the asparagus with hollandaise was fresh and delicious. For mains, we had a grilled salmon with lemon and sauce on the side, and a rich chicken and mushroom dish in creamy sauce – both full of flavour and cooked with great care. Everything was beautifully presented on traditional plates that added to the authentic feel. Desserts were a highlight – the crème brûlée was perfectly caramelised, and the vanilla ice cream was smooth and refreshing. Service was attentive, friendly, and at just the right pace. The wine complemented the dishes beautifully, and the overall experience was one of relaxed enjoyment. This is a restaurant that combines charm, atmosphere, and excellent food. Highly recommended – we will definitely be returning.

2 Star Rating Attempted lunch in outdoor cafe. Very slow with multiple frustrated patrons. The drinks are £14 each but there is no alcohol in them - almost transparent spritz! Also in the outdoor cafe, the inner row of tables are so tilted one is constantly slipping out of the chair. Fair to poor experience. Advice - level the cafe tables, add some active ingredients to the cocktails, speed up the service - our drinks arrived closer to dessert than heading main course. Come on guys!

3 Star Rating Hunan’s objective, like any restaurant’s, should be to leave its customers satisfied and well fed. Unfortunately, that wasn’t my experience here, as I found myself needing another meal after lunch. The no menu concept initially intrigued me and was ultimately the reason I booked. The restaurant itself had a bright, airy ambience, and the service was friendly at first. Prior to visiting, we emailed to explain that we were both vegetarian and did not eat fish. Despite this, the first course arrived containing oyster sauce, which was disappointing. We were later asked whether we wanted rice or noodles, while the table next to us was served both automatically. Feeling slightly overlooked, I asked for noodles as well — although in hindsight I wish I hadn’t, as they took around 30 minutes to arrive. To their credit, the staff apologised for the delay and offered us a drink, but by then the experience had already soured and I was close to asking for the bill before dessert. When the noodles finally arrived, they were overly oily and underwhelming. The neighbouring table was also offered a complimentary shot, something we were not offered either, which further added to the feeling of inconsistency in service. As for the food itself, the portions felt more suitable for one person, despite being designed to share. Overall, I found the dishes average and the restaurant much better suited to meat eaters, who were able to enjoy dishes such as clams and scallops, while I left feeling as though I had mainly been served shards of lotus root and tofu. Indeed one dish was just 4 pieces of cold mushroom. Date of visit: 23/5/26 Lunchtime

3 Star Rating We had a great time at Hunan, with a buzzy lively atmosphere. The meat/fish courses were tasty and varied. The vegan dishes were a little disappointing with less variation. The order of dish arrival was odd, with a lovely bowl of rice appearing at the end of the meal. Wine prices were so ludicrous it spoiled the experience a little as we had to stick to one of the few ‘cheaper’ £50 a bottle wines.

5 Star Rating We had an absolutely amazing lunch at Hunan today. Everything felt really special — every dish had its own character, full of bold, interesting flavours, but still really balanced and thoughtful. You can genuinely tell there’s a lot of care behind both the cooking and the presentation. A big part of what made the experience so enjoyable was the team, especially JJ and Joseph, who were both fantastic throughout. Everyone was warm, welcoming, and just really easy to be around. The service felt smooth and natural — attentive without ever being over the top. A special thank you to our waiter Andrey, who went above and beyond. He didn’t just serve the food, but actually shared the story behind the dishes and helped us understand the cuisine in a much deeper way. That made the whole lunch feel more like an experience than just a meal. Honestly, one of the best lunches we’ve had in London. We’ll definitely be coming back.

5 Star Rating We were a party of 5 and we went for brunch. I loved the decor which seemed to be based on French film and theatre. I have to say the service here was the best I've had anywhere in a long time. It felt like being in a top class restaurant somewhere in France. The food was excellent and we didn't have to wait long for it to be served. My cheese omelette was the best I've ever had and the pancakes were amazing and I was impressed by the large portion.
