Elegant. Chic. Tasty food.
Lovely place in Duke of York Square where I hosted a small group of two after a business meeting.
Staff were very attentive and friendly. They catered for my allergy requirements and vegetarian food request. The wine was extraordinary and we had a very nice meal.
Do try the courgette fries on the side. Rare to find these days but they are one of my favourites.
Perfect setting for a romantic meal, with friends or business contacts. Would definitely come again soon.

Some of the most delicious pasta I’ve had in London. Absolutely gorgeous restaurant, really fine dining Italian. Good size portions even though it is expensive no doubt. I’m not one to splash on pasta but having tried Manicomio now, I may change my mind about this. Very unique pasta in my opinion. Location is beautiful on Duke of York Square, nicer than the one in The City I reckon.

I hosted my book launch party for my memoir, ‘Unashamed’ at Manicomio a couple of weeks ago. The service was outstanding! All the staff were very helpful in ensuring that my event ran smoothly. The food itself was divine. My favourite being the langoustine arancini and tiramisu (world’s best!). I booked the private dining room with access to a private outdoor area. I loved the attention to detail with the candlelight and was especially grateful for the beautiful fresh fuschia pink flowers that the restaurant provided. My friends were also really impressed with the venue and had a fabulous evening. Thank you Manicomio! I shall certainly consider you for future events. Many thanks, Elizabeth G. Xx

Stopped in for wine and desserts. Tried the tiramisu and mousse. Both delicious but would lean towards the tiramisu as being better. Nice outdoor seating area and friendly staff.

Be warned - the wine they serve by the glass is from a keg. My friend complained about the odd taste. The bartender shrugged her shoulders and didn't offer a replacement. I felt obliged to buy our group a bottle... which turned out to be overpriced. This didn't feel good enough for an established theatre bar.
Clare Bloomer - 7 months ago
Nice bar and kitchen below the Royal Court theatre. It was very busy before a show so definitely book ahead. There's a really decent drinks range for every taste at usual London prices. The food, considering the limited time the kitchen is open is good, mostly plant based. I went for a few small plates (3 for £13 or so) which were a perfect pre-theatre snack between two.
The service is quick, efficient and friendly. Even if you're not visiting the theatre here it's well worth a visit as it has a great atmosphere...just check the limited opening times.

I ordered a margarita and it was very sour and tasted quite synthetic. I returned to the bar and there was not an apology nor an offer to remake it. Poor customer service and low quality of drinks.
(The manager commented on my review straight away, encouraging me to be in touch and I did indeed, and haven't heard anything from them for a week. This attitude can be considered as another evidence of poor customer service!).

Nice corner pub in the heart of Belgravia sporting an array of Duke of Wellington themed decor. Good selection of ales and dog friendly too. Plenty of space to sit outside and watch the world go by.

A Belgravia, corner house pub with. Good, large square room with a statement central octagonal bar commanding the space with a great beer selection on tap. Other good statements coming from studded, leather armchairs, bench seats, artwork & cool window topped washroom doors with painted lettering. Some identity issues from the faux wood panel paper, checked carpet & an expectation of more historic heritage vibe. Large screen with great all round views of sport, good vibe of groups of friends.

A delightful, simple and friendly pub offering a fine selection of beers both keg and cask. Service is bright and cheerful. The eponymous Duke is celebrated here with pictures adorning the walls and a fireplace, perhaps similar to the one whence his violin was consigned. The rest, as they say is history. A lovely pub to Pop into for a drink or two.

I used to work here from September 1994 to July 1995. It was a great cultural experience for me. A Canadian bartender called John taught me the ropes and the Landlord that lived above was called John Bond, from Ireland. He was full of energy and positivity - especially after a cup of coffee (which his wife forbid me to serve him!).
I ran into Roger Moore in the wine shop down the street, served Richard Harris (and his nephew) 6 pints of Guineess each within an hour, and met many many eccentric characters during that time. If John Bond is still kicking, tell him Glen from Canada says Hello!

Place came highly recommended to us. Service was immaculate and the ambiance inside the restaurant was amazing. Very romantic. Most of our food was delicious as well. Quite a deal they have for the pre-fixe 2 or 3 course dinner as well.
However…2 things:
I am not sure if this is just a thing in Europe/UK but the tables are WAY too close together and I physically had to move the table to get in and out of my seat to use the bathroom. I can hear everyone else’s conversations in depth which provides for a rather impersonal experience. Secondly, I do not know what happened to my lady’s steak. The char on it looked nice but the taste was burnt, it lacked ANY seasoning whatsoever (even the peppercorn sauce couldn’t save it) and tasted as if it was cooked IN gas, not over gas lit flames (you could taste some sort of chemically flavor on the steak, so if they use charcoal I have no clue what the taste was but we both agreed something was off…). Shame, because it was a really tender piece of meat.
My guinea fowl, mash and peas, chicken liver pate and her onion soup were fabulous though. We will be back! Bathroom signage was funny as well ;)

Came for girlfriends birthday, when we walked in the service was cold, the server who spoke to us at first was not really helpful, he pointed us in the direction of our table without us really knowing where we were going as the table was round the corner so was a little awkward. Sat down, ordered relatively quickly with two waiters, one waiter wasn’t really bothered, the other took a little more time and care with us. The food wasn’t too slow, starters and mains were great, French onion soup was the best dish we had, my girlfriend thought her steak and sauce was a little too salty, but can be just down to preference, I ordered the same and was happy with mine, wine was great, didn’t stay for desert but we wanted to, overall we enjoyed the vibe a lot and the food, it’s gorgeous and cozy. Not the cheapest eat, we ordered specials though so can’t expect too much. For the price you pay with service, I think it was lacking a little, which was a shame, would go again, and hope it was just a bad night as it happens to everyone.

My friend and I had a lovely time at this restaurant. The duck confit was sublime and had the perfect amount of flavours to keep me enticed during every bite. At the end, the tarte tatin and crème brûlée weren’t to our taste (the latter served cold - which we were told was usual - and the former was not sweet) and we informed the staff. They took the desserts off the bill and gave us a chocolate mousse to compensate. Really nice touch as we were not expecting to be given another dessert. Would 100% return to la poule au pot and can’t wait for Maggie jones to be open once again. Perfect staff - very attentive and apologetic. Perfect ambience.

Visited several times with a group of friends and always loved it. However, our recent visit was not as good as usual. There was no atmosphere whatsoever, the waiters barely spoke to us, apart from lovely Eric. The chips were inedible and tasted like they had been cooked in old oil and when we mentioned it, it was met with total indifference. There was a lady at the counter who didn’t acknowledge us and only smiled when we paid the bill and left. We travelling a long way from Surrey to get there and were disappointed on this occasion, so much so that we even thought it had changed hands.

My wife took me here for Friday lunch for my birthday.
The ambience was great. It has that cosy, but not quaint feel to it. Just right. It had a good mix of customers - locals, families and business lunches.
The staff were very good. They all spoke french, looked as if they enjoyed their jobs and were on the 'perfect' side of attentive. Not rushing anything, yet there when you needed them...
Finally, the food. Excellent. After trying not to be too British and eating all the bread (the butter was divine), I had the special for starter and a traditional French stew like dish for main. Washed down with a good quality bottle of red wine and followed by cheese. Delicious.
The price was remarkably cheap compared to many poorer establishments I've been to in and around London. Great value. I would recommend it(!)

Really great fresh food. I came I a particularly quiet day which was nice but I can imagine it gets quite cramped.
Staff were so friendly, accommodating and accepting of my assistant dog.

The staff in the restaurant and shop floor are incredibly rude. The food served is below average. Some good produce, but for the prices they’re charging you can throw some manners in there for free.

A Sunday treat. Always nice spending time at the Daylesford farm's cafe. A little oasis, located in a small quiet square that will give you a European-esque feeling. The food is simple and tasty. Coffee is nice too. I took a more recent pic of their menu but be aware it changes rather often.

Very pleasant friendly welcome. Lovely atmosphere, linen tablecloths and fresh rose. All choices on the menu were absolutely on point. The ones we chose were delicious. Outstanding. Thank you Chef and his team! Service was very attentive and extremely professional and staff were very pleasant Toilets spic and span. Thoroughly recommended.

The food looked good but I didn't like the reaction of the staff. That shows dissatisfaction with the 8 of us choosing drinks and asking about food, because we had never eaten here before🤷♀️

Absolutely delicious. We arrived at 9.30pm on a Thursday evening and the place was full - that says something! Each of our dishes was really amazing, and I’d 100% recommend coming here. The livers and veal medallions were stand out dishes for me, but really can’t fault any. Waiters are great, not too attentive, just right. Thank you!

This is a great restaurant, delicious food and nice staff. With good service.
I really loved everything about Caraffini, we called before thier closing time by an hour and they told us we can walk in and we will be seated. Its very quiet and intimate spot.
We ordered, sea bass, salmon, rositio, and potato and broccoli side.
I'd evaluate the cleanness and hygiene 5/5, because I saw them how they handle plates, spoons, cups...etc

This is a cozy Italian restaurant serving quality Italian cuisine. It is very popular in the area that the restaurant is filled with guests all the time. if you visit the restaurant, you will find it a beautiful, clean and decent restaurant. It seems that it is also a popular venue for proper dinner.
The food was prepared in very high quality. I like the "Scampi and Asapagus in cream sauce" that the fresh seafood is a delight to the dish. Also, Creme Brulee is cooked to perfect texture. Though the pasta is not in AL dente, the overall dining experience is great here.

Buratta with pea starter to die for, scallops were decent... but unfortunately the pasta was far too salty and the sea bass was very over cooked and dry. Good wine list. Service was so slow and lacking, so we gave up on desserts. Happy to pay for quality food and service but this missed the mark by quite a way.

Enoteca Turi is one of the restaurants ‘we go’ (as Italians) when we miss our country. This place has made and will continue to make history in the London food and wine scene. The wine list is one of the most extensive outside of Italy, it’s super fun and price are very honest! Big thanks to all the staff that made our experience unique!!

We had our wedding reception dinner at Enoteca Turi, and we are so happy with our choice! Everyone there is so friendly and the food was amazing. We went to visit a couple times before to see the space and ask questions, everyone we spoke to were more than happy to help us out and made the process a lot smoother.
On the day when we arrived after the ceremony, everything was set up already and looked amazing. it was really great to not have to worry about setting anything up and the team were really accommodating. They even recommended a florist for us so the flowers were arranged and delivered.
Gosia could not have been faulted, from responding to emails and answering questions to making sure that no glass was empty. She really made the evening relaxed and fun. All of our guests commented on how great she was.
All of the table was handled from the flowers, personalised menus and name cards. All of the food was delicious and everyone enjoyed it. It also visually looked incredible and was timed perfectly. We were able to bring our own wedding cake which was a lovely touch and had help from the team to cut it and serve.
We couldn’t be happier with our choice to have our wedding here, and would definitely recommend for anyone, looking for an intimate and romantic dinner with their loved ones to celebrate their big day!

What a gem! It is been on my list for years and I just regret that it took me so long to visit. The food is gorgeous, the place is cute, the spinach roll and the lamb were so good. Too many little good bites that makes you so full and thrilled for the next one, and for what it offers, it’s really great value for money. Make sure to show up hungry 👌

Came here for a special occasion meal. Looking at the positives, the restaurant is located in a nice area of London, the place was very clean and the environment was quite nice. The staff were extremely attentive and I feel like the service was excellent. However, the food was really quite average. Probably slightly better than average, but I find it really difficult to try and justify the prices that they charge.
I Came here because of a friend recommendation, and after reading the reviews on here, however the food was really no different to any other Chinese restaurants I have been in Chinatown. There is a lot of variety of dishes, and we had a 12 course tasting menu, however, the portions are tiny, and none of the dishes particularly were stand out.
£170 for lunch for 2 with 2 drinks is really a lot of money for what you get. Plus there is an optional service charge of 15%, which is automatically added to the bill. I was expecting more food from Hunan region, but ask someone who has lived in China, this really did not live up to my expectations. What did impress me was that the staff did really try to give great service and it did feel the service was better than most other Chinese restaurants. As an everyday restaurant, Hunan is a nice alternative to what is on offer generally in London, but I do not feel like it is the sort of place for a special occasion where the focus is on high-quality food.

We ate here with four people for dinner. The service was quick and attentive. The 18 course dinner menu came out in a timely manner and each was described to us. The food was all excellent but no dishes really blew you away.

I enjoyed the no menu experience here! We came for Saturday lunch and it ended up being 11 starter style dishes (some of my favourites were the prawn dumpling, deep fried cod, rib eye and venison), main (seabass and peking duck - both nice) and dessert (fried banana and ice cream which was delicious). The service was also very good and friendly.

A busy restaurant, do book in advance. Nice decor with a stylish vibe. Efficient staff they really know what they’re doing, on the ball with customer service. It’s really helpful that they have a gluten free menu and to know that Cote are fully accredited by Coeliac UK. Takes the stress out of ordering! Staff are superb. Nothing was too much trouble. We were well looked after. Food is delicious and great value for money.

This place definitely has a vibe, but omg the service is so slow. we ended up closing the restaurant because of the long wait for everything. but good thing is that they can accomodate large parties thats why we came here for a goup of 8.
the restaurant has a full bar but they dont make martini , which to me is very odd. they can make espresso martini but can't make a regular dirty or lemon twist. tried their special cocktail , a lot of ice and too much sugar. in the end we just ordered bottles or wine instead. food overall is good. i had the set menu is very decent for that price. nothing wows me.
our waiter was very friendly and nice , but i think he has to wait so many tables so got too busy running around. the manager has a pretty bad attitude. she turned the light all the way up while there are still a lot of people sitting there dining. it makes people feel like they want to kick us out. we asked if we can turn it down since it was way too bright, she rolled her eyes and turn around , turn the lights down unwillingly.
