The most beautiful boutique hotel in London - an absolute gem! Hands down the best hotel I've ever stayed at in London. From the gorgeously decorated rooms and communal spaces to the stunning secret garden where you can enjoy a delicious breakfast, right through to the incredibly attentive staff who go out of their way to accommodate every special request - everything about this place is exceptional. I stayed at Number Sixteen as a solo traveller and felt completely at ease and safe for the entire duration of my trip. The location in South Kensington is fantastic, and being just steps from South Kensington Station makes getting around the city effortless. I couldn't recommend this hidden gem enough to anyone looking for an unforgettable, elegant stay in London. I'll definitely be back!

If we could give 100 stars we would. From the moment we entered this charming hotel we were greeted by the friendly staff. Everything about this hotel is exquisite. From the details to the service, all are above and beyond exceptions. The beds were incredibly comfortable with luxurious linens. The spacious sitting rooms were a lovely place to unwind after a long day. We loved the interior design. The breakfast is not to be missed and the orangery and outdoor patio are a total delight. Everything was spotless- impeccably clean! Best of all was the warm and accommodating staff. Number Sixteen feels like a home away from home and our stay here was the highlight of our trip.

Lovely little hotel with a wonderful garden steps away from V&A and the natural history museum. Our stay was great. The only downside was that we were assigned the room on the ground floor right in front of the staircase and the fire door when we requested a quiet room. As a result we heard a lot of door slamming at 6am.

Number Sixteen has been my London home away from home for extended visits over the past two summers. I cannot overstate the level of kindness and hospitality that my family and I received over the course of thirty nights spent in this beautiful South Kensington facility. Even before arrival, the exceptionally detail-oriented Teo reached out to confirm the specifics of my bookings. I had somewhat of a complicated set of reservations that involved moving rooms and the later arrival of family members, and Teo ensured that the logistics were seamless. Everyone at Number Sixteen deserves thanks for their kindness and commitment to service--thank you so much to Francesca, Darlene, Naryan, Anca, Mattias, Rakin, and everyone else at the Orangery, on housekeeping service, and the porters. Coming back to Number Sixteen after a day out in the city feels like coming home to relax and recharge, and I hope to return for many more visits. Nowhere else will you feel so cared for and attended to!

We had such a lovely experience at Tapas Brindisa! The food was absolutely delicious, with great flavours and everything we tried was beautifully prepared. A special mention to Giuseppe, our host, who was incredibly kind, warm and attentive. He genuinely made us feel at home and added such a personal touch to the whole experience. The atmosphere was super bubbly, lively and welcoming, the perfect place to enjoy great tapas and have a really good time. We’ll definitely be back! Highly recommended. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Stopped off here for a quick lunch before an event at the Royal Albert Hall. Fresh, well prepared small tapas dishes served up quickly. All the items I had were good, but the highlight was the heritage tomato salad (a daily special). A simple dish but executed to perfection. The service was also great - really friendly and welcoming.

A great place to enjoy tapas, we tried the 5 for £22 tapas menu, portions are on the small side but perfect to share with a drink! We were able to sit outside on a damp February day, with lovely heaters on! Felt like a real treat. Staff friendly and efficient. Sangria (red) was amazing! Highly recommend a visit!

A great Tapas restaurant located really close to the South Ken tube station and Exhibition Road. Warmly greeted by Michelle on arrival and everyone that works there is just a pleasant. I went during the heatwave and so my appetite wasn’t the biggest, but what I did eat was fantastic! I had the pan con tomate, and I recommend adding the anchovies, which was just what I needed on a hot day, and then jamon croquettes which were superb. Service was fast and efficient which is what I wanted as I was on my own, but it being a tapas restaurant you can obviously have a much more relaxed meal. I’ll be heading back to try more of the menu now the weather has cooled down… and I want to try the sangria as it looked fantastic!

Some of the best tapas that I’ve had. The cauliflower dish stole the show. We also really enjoyed the charcuterie - great selection of meats add cheeses. Sendy went above and beyond for us, providing some insights into the different cheeses and even surprising us with an extra piece of torta de barros (our runaway favourite). What a hospitable staff!

We cannot say enough about The Pelham. From the gracious front desk staff and knowledgeable concierge to our bartender who crafted one of the best espresso martinis I’ve ever had, every interaction felt genuinely attentive and personal. The entire team went out of their way at every turn — specially cooked eggs for breakfast, extra ice delivered to your room, and helpful advice. That kind of above-and-beyond service makes you feel like a welcome guest rather than a room number. And after a long day exploring the city, we retreated to a generous size room with the most comfortable bed and pillows I’ve ever slept on. Add a prime South Kensington location steps from the tube, and this place is simply outstanding!

This was my first time staying at The Pelham. I spent a week here and loved every minute. From the moment I walked into the hotel, I felt welcomed and cared for. My room was exceedingly comfortable. The bed is wonderfully soft. A complementary, two-tiered fruit tray awaited me in my room. My toiletries and other amenities were refreshed and replaced without me ever needing to ask for more. Customer service was top-notch, including everyone I met at the front desk, concierges, and housekeeping. I especially enjoyed visiting with Thomas, who was always friendly, inquisitive, and helpful. I never partook in meals at the hotel only because I was out and about around the city, from morning to night of each day, but menu offerings looked delicious. The hotel also offers certain food items available for room service 24 hours a day, which I find impressive. I highly recommend staying here and hope to return someday in the future.

My husband and I stayed at the Pelham in 2022 and I loved the charm and coziness. Quintessential British hospitality. Unique, quiet and lovely. Such a break from the homogeneous chain hotels. The real standout of the Pelham is the staff. This time I came with a friend to celebrate her birthday. Roz at the reception desk gave us many good tips on where to go for tea, and a great local pub. The gentleman serving breakfast remembered my friend drank hot chocolate every morning, making her feel special. And remembered I liked a double cappuccino. A very special thanks has to go to the concierge, Gabriel. My friend turned 70 and had never taken the tube. She peppered him questions on how to do it, lines to ride, where to get off. Being from Texas, and taking the tube daily to see London made her feel accomplished and gave her bragging rights when she goes back to court. Thank you Gabriel!

My husband and I stayed at the Pelham during our time in London. The staff is wonderful and the location is hard to beat. I really enjoyed the quality of the room and its amenities. We stayed during a heat wave in London so the air conditioning made our stay comfortable and pleasant. I also loved the quality of the sheets and bedding. All in all a wonderful stay and look forward to staying again and visiting its sister properties.

We had a wonderful stay at The Pelham - four nights in late June. The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The room was beautiful - we were in the King Suite - and the bed was one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. Great water pressure in the shower and comfortable furnishings to relax in after a long day of sightseeing. One of the BEST things about this hotel is its location - we were just across the street from the Underground and tons of restaurants. It was so easy to get everywhere we wanted to be in London. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We happened upon this restaurant after leaving Victoria and Albert Museum and were so glad we discovered Thai Square. The food we ordered was very flavorful. I believe their coconut rice is the best I’ve had. The Thai iced tea was a perfect balance of tea and milk. My friend and I ordered mixed vegetable starters, green curry vegetables (tofu), stir fried ginger with tofu egg fried rice, coconut rice and Thai iced tea. The decor is very nice. There is indoor and outdoor seating. It’s was very busy but the staff provided very good customer service. I will definitely return to Thai Square South Kensington.

Me and my family went there for our lunch time, what can I say is that their food is the best thing you’ll ever taste. The flavours are strong but solid and they make your taste buds go wild. I can recommend the stir fried chicken w basil leaves(picture down below) and egg fried rice, the chicken itself had amazing flavours and with the sauce it was the cherry on top. Honestly an amazing place to eat and if you have a minute really drop by. (Sometimes you have to make a reservation, be aware) also the wait time isn’t that long as me and my family waited around 15 ish minutes for our food

Friendly staff serving delicious good quality food. I had the Zen Garden £16.95 Balance of Yin and Yang: broccoli and ginger with prawns in soya sauce and garlic. Delicate dish with lovely fresh ginger. My husband had the Jungle chicken curry. The spiciest curry in the house without coconut milk with wild galangal, bamboo shoots, long beans, and bell pepper. We were both very satisfied with our meal.

Loved this places atmosphere but most importantly its food. You get a wide selection of Polish dishes, including a variety of soups and meat dishes. The dumplings and cold borscht were phenomenal. 100% recommend.

Beautiful restaurant with a historic yet luxurious feel. The staff was warm and welcoming with excellent recommendations. We ordered maybe a bit too much, but left absolutely stuffed and satisfied. My favorite side was the pan fried sauerkraut (a recommendation from the waiter) and my boyfriend’s favorite dish was the veal schnitzel. 10/10 recommend, prices were so reasonable as well!

"Classic elegance with a touch of history! 🎖️🕰️ Coming from Royal Albert Hall, I found the perfect place to end the evening. The decor is wonderful — classic and refined, with historical and military touches that reflect Poland’s proud heritage. And the atmosphere? So peaceful and calm 🇵🇱✨ The staff are gentle, polite, and welcoming — their calm nature fits the place perfectly. The rabbit in thyme and mustard sauce with buckwheat — that dark, hearty grain — was absolutely delicious. Authentic, rich, and full of flavour. And to finish — warm apple fritters for dessert, the perfect sweet ending! 🍎🌹 This is more than a restaurant — it’s a journey through history and culture. Had dinner this week at Khans. Wow. Amazing. The food and the services were wonderful. The staff was so great and nice. My friend had their special hot sauce for their food. Khans of Kensington made our trip unforgettable! We arrived around 5:30 PM without a reservation, and the staff were so warm, polite, and welcoming, happily seating us right away.The food was absolute perfection. They were so helpful in explaining the spice levels and recommending mild vs. hot dishes. The Reshmi Kabab and the Daal were incredible—so rich and flavor-packed! Excellent food and genuine hospitality. We will 100% be back the next time we're in London! ❤️

The food here was absolutely delicious. I was in London for a couple of days and this place had amazing reviews about there curry’s. I would recommend the chicken tiki masala. The lamb Rogan Josh was a bit disappointing but overall the trip here was worth it.

Before we left London I knew I needed to have Indian food and by chance stumbled upon this spot. I am so happy we walked in. We didn’t have a reservation but the workers made us feel welcome and sat us right away. The service was attentive and friendly. This was some of the best palak paneer & chana masala I’ve ever received at a restaurant. The portions were also generous + the garlic naan was incredible fluffy! 10/10 will be sending family and friends here if they’re ever in the area.

Absolutely wonderful experience at Khans. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming from the moment we walked in — the kind of service that makes a place feel genuinely special. The standout dish for me was the saag gosht: rich, comforting, perfectly spiced, and so flavorful. We popped in between hospital appointments and were pleasantly surprised by this little restaurant. We opted for the lunchtime menu-Bruschetta pomodoro and Fettucine bolognese caprese and pepperoni pizza and 2 home-made lemonades. The food was tasty and hot. The pizza base could have been a bit crispier but we're used to cooking pizzas at home and just prefer that style. The service was friendly and quick. Everyone seemed happy and all were busy greeting customers, waiting on tables and clearing empty plates. I really loved the decor inside-quite rustic but minimal. One of the waiters tried to convince us the photos were of Scotland but then told us they were of Tuscany! We enjoyed our meal and could recommend it for a nice little lunch.

We stopped here for lunch after stumbling across the place with my aunt. From the moment we walked in, the welcome was lukewarm at best. No smiles or greeting, just a waiter who pointed us to a table like we were an inconvenience. The service didn't improve. Our waitress was indifferent and spoke in a tone that felt out of place for a mid-range restaurant. I've genuinely received warmer, more enthusiastic service at a McDonald's. When my aunt asked if the wine on display was the house wine, the waitress replied, "Exactly that," in a noticeably condescending way. The wine was then served in a glass that looked cloudy, as if it hadn't been properly cleaned. The water glasses were also dusty and had visible fingerprints. We were only given clean ones after another waiter took them from a different table. The garlic bread was hot and enjoyable. My fettuccine bolognese was disappointing with very little sauce and the pasta was stuck together, as if it had been microwaved. My aunt, however, really liked her lasagna and said she would return for it.

I feel sorry for myself since I was neighbour to this restaurant for over a year and a half never had the chance to drop by..... I came out from work I thought let me go and try their food and thank god I did the food is so delicious and their atmosphere is so quiet and elegant.. definitely will come back for more.

We booked here as we knew we were visiting the area. Lovely staff, a nice quiet retreat from the hustle and hustle of London. We both had a special of seafood linguine, so delicious and pasta cooked perfectly. Our daughter had a kids size pizza with ham olives and mushrooms, we also tried a bit and got food envy again really delicious, thin base, a proper Italian pizza. Would highly recommend. The rest of the menu looks tasty too and a lovely assortment of wines to choose from. Grazie!

Incredible food quality and service. This branch, similar to its Soho branch has incredible consistency with its tuna nigiri which I always order whenever I'm at Dozo. Because so far, this is the closest tuna quality that I have experienced yet to what I experienced during my travels to Japan. The staff also delivered Japanese-like service quality. My family shared the rest of the dishes as the portions are also great for sharing, too.

They have so many kinds of sushi rolls! My go-to is always the Dragon Maki — it’s packed with big shrimp and avocado, and has a lovely crispy texture. I also tried the soft-shell crab roll before, and it was absolutely delicious! 😊

It is a really nice small Japanese restaurant with some interesting dishes. Our favourite was the rock and roll which had a unique cheese combination on top. You'll find classic dishes, a wide range of sushi and hot food as well as more interesting combinations like eel. The price per person is around £30 but could vary a lot based on what you order. Overall, I'm giving 5 stars because it was really nice and met our expectations of a small Japanese restaurant. I'd recommend you stop by!

The food at Dozo is amazing. I am a big fan of soft shell crabs and this is one of the only few restaurants I found in the UK that offers fried soft shell crabs. They are incredibility crispy and the salad comes with it also included tasty sauce. Highly recommended. I also love the screwed, the chicken things and spring onions like the best match. The eel rice and spicy beef ramen are the mains we ordered. I can’t believe how large the portion is. I didn’t expect such a large bowl of ramen came to the table and they taste amazing! My friend never tried eel and after this time she absolutely loves it. The sauce was amazing and we finished the whole portion. The we also ordered mixed tempura. I love the fish and the sweet potato the most. Outside of them are crispy and the inside are properly cooked and soft. For dessert we went for matcha tiramisu. The tea flavour was really strong but not bitter at all. It is sweet but not overly sweet. It’s such a nice and new tasty for me. I’ve never had any thing like this before and I’m now so obsessed with matcha tiramisu. I don’t know what to say but the food here is top 1. The food I’ve ordered is safe for you to try if you’ve never had Japanese food before. You’ll love them!

This was a really cool Japanese spot right by Portobello Market. The vibe was amazing and felt really traditional. We sat in the basement, and the seating and whole setup down there felt very authentic, which made the experience even better. It had a really nice atmosphere, felt very Japanese, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The service was extremely friendly, and the food was 5/5 all around.

Had a really good pub lunch yesterday, after visiting the science museum. Great food and great atmosphere. Staff were really friendly and welcoming. Wife had the steak and I had a burger. Only recommendation would be to add a few more chips with the burger. Other than that the food was great. Would recommend.

We recently booked this place for a Christmas dinner of around 20 people. It was amazing! The food was delicious and easy to order through a QR code. The food and drinks came super quickly and staff was attentive and kind. In the app you can also get a free drink or desert when you register :)

This traditional Victorian corner pub is a cozy place to have a drink. The staff are friendly and helpful. However, I’m not so sure about the food. I ordered the Scotch egg. Pork, smoked bacon and apple scotch egg which came with home-made style piccalili. My friend ordered the hand battered fishfingers which came on a farmhouse loaf. Atlantic cod goujons and tartar sauce. My scotch egg was okay. It didn’t taste like your traditional scotch egg and The home-made pickle was a little tart for my pallet. My friends fish fingers were tasty but unfortunately the bread that they came on was stale. As if it was the end of the loaf and had been out for a few hours so she couldn’t eat any of the bread. When I showed the wait staff the bread they took 20% off the bill which I thought was fair. A gentleman next to us had the sticky toffee pudding which looked and smelled amazing.

This place amazed me. Food is amazing, we ordered fish and chips, not disappointed. Ambiance is so nice! There were lots of locals too, just chitchatting — so surely this place is in a radar for good food and good vibes. I also ordered their mulled wine and sticky toffee pudding and WOW, I’m happy I did. Would defo come back once we’re in London again.
