Indeed the afternoon tea was lovely. The clotted cream was so good that we asked for a second helping! There were four pieces of sandwiches per person and each sandwich came with a different type of bread. They were all very good. Then there were the sweets. My favourite was the meringue tart. I could have another!
The hotel itself is very discreet. Located amongst the residential area of onslow gardens, we could have easily missed it if it were not for its name - number sixteen, as it was house number sixteen. Loved the decor as it exuded an understated and calming vibe. Staff was helpful and patient. We asked to be moved from the garden to the inside and they cheerfully obliged. Highly recommend.

My husband and I only had one night here, but it was a fantastic stay. I highly recommend this hotel. The room was beautiful, and the complimentary breakfast was 5-stars. The staff also was phenomenal.

Absolute 5 out of 5 in every way, and the best home away from home. Beautiful decoration that inspires and soothes you after a day in the busy city. The staff could not have been more helpful, attentive or kid-friendly with our toddler. Lovely courtyard that we can't wait to visit when the sun is shining.

I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for the wonderful stay I recently had at Number Sixteen, my second home in London. My experience was exceptional, and I truly wanted to thank everyone involved, from Serafin and Anca and their ability to extend my stay to the housekeeping and restaurant staff who go beyond expectations. Plus, a warm thanks to reception (India, Franchesca) and Frances for delivering my steamed almond milk at 5 AM daily. Plus Teddie is a delight in the restaurant! She is kind and generous and provides exceptional service in your glorious garden setting. Your collective efforts made my visit incredibly enjoyable and confirm my loyalty to Number Sixteen.
Thank you again the undeniable outstanding hospitality your team provides.

Great location in a peaceful community area very close to South Kensington tube station, museums and Kensington park. The hotel is very nicely decorated and makes you feel home straight away. The very small garden and breakfast/dinner terrace is a little jewel of serenity in the art of London. The staff is extremely nice and particularly the ladies cleaning and preparing bedrooms for the night. I would recommended to adjust the breakfast system as it can be very slow when you order “à la carte” and as a lot of guest order breakfast in the bedroom. It is a bit a waste of time when you want to get going early to visit London.

Busy tapas-like restaurant that has the feel of a chain rather than the one-off at Boroughs Market. Tables are exceptionally close and the layout is labrynthine. That said the tables by the window are light with a great view. The menu is basic tapas fair with some nice touches here and there. Feels 10~15% overpriced for the quality. Again, mass catering rather than home-made or cheffed-with-pride fare. Saltier than I would wish, another red flag. Service was brisk and very friendly - made the visit worthwhile. Overall not a destination. A handy place if you have to be in the neighbourhood, but functional rather than great. Top tip is that the mixed platter (£30) is a light meal for 2 and with 2 other dishes would make a great supper that’s not over the top.

Great place, great service, perfect food. Good quality of food, served quickly.
We choose a starter and a 2 person tapas plate what was a perfect choise for us.
We'll go back if we are in that area again

We were a party of five dining at Casa Brindisa on the evening of 20th April, and I must say, it was nothing short of outstanding. From the moment we stepped through the door, the experience was seamless – and much of that is thanks to Cintia, whose service was absolutely spotless from start to finish.Cintia was attentive without being intrusive, effortlessly friendly, and clearly took genuine pride in ensuring we had a brilliant evening. Her timing was impeccable, recommendations spot-on, and she handled our table with both charm and utmost professionalism. It’s rare to come across service this consistently polished – she made us feel truly welcomed and looked after, which elevated the whole experience. The food, too, was superb – a special mention must go to the squid ink black rice, which was rich, flavourful, and beautifully balanced. Easily one of the highlights of the evening, and not to be missed. We all left in high spirits, already chatting about our next visit. And while the food and ambience were top-notch, it’s Cintia who’s the real reason we’ll be back. Staff like her are absolute gems – Casa Brindisa is lucky to have her.Highly recommended.

I recently visited a charming Spanish restaurant and had an incredible dining experience, largely thanks to the excellent service provided by our waitress, Sakshi. From the moment we sat down, she was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. She offered great recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Sakshi's warm and welcoming demeanor truly made our visit memorable. The food was fantastic, and the service, particularly from her, elevated the experience even further. Highly recommend this place, especially if you're lucky enough to have Sakshi as your server!

We really enjoyed staying here! It was a great location - close to a tube station, the Natural History museum, Kensington park, lots of shops and places to eat, and pretty streets to walk down. Our room was charming and clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. We stayed with our 9 month old baby and they were very accommodating. Would definitely recommend.

My family and I stayed at The Pelham in August and had an amazing experience. The concierge and front desk staff were friendly, helpful, and made us feel right at home. The South Kensington location was perfect—just steps from the Underground and close to museums, parks, and great restaurants. Beautiful room, excellent service—we will stay here again in a heartbeat!

The staff was very friendly and willing to help with any request, and they made both check-in & check-out smooth. The room was extremely clean and well made. The views and location of the hotel were fantastic for exploring the city. The breakfast provided was delicious and would absolutely recommend choosing to eat there before starting your day.

Small but Authentic Thai Corner in London
This restaurant may be small in size, but it delivers a genuinely authentic Thai dining experience. The space is cozy, although the close proximity of tables can slightly reduce privacy. That said, the atmosphere is relaxed and quiet, making it easy to enjoy your meal at a comfortable pace.
Service was attentive throughout, with friendly staff happy to explain the dishes. Prices are on the higher side, but that’s to be expected in London. If you’re a fan of Thai cuisine and are looking for flavors true to their origins, this spot is definitely worth a visit.

We stopped for a quick lunch at the Thai square and we were served by a very lovely lady Mim and her colleagues. She made sure we were comfortable and also checked on us to see if we liked the food. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We ordered chicken red curry and jasmine rice which was delicious. The chicken was a bit chewy and dry but the curry made it up what the chicken lacked.
Shalvi Vartak - a month ago
We had lunch on the outside premise of the restaurant, our waitresses Mim was super nice and helpful. The lunch combo with chicken pad Thai is highly recommended, plus it comes with a side of your choice (I choose the duck dumpling for 2£ extra, but it was worth it). Great all around!

Service was really nice! The staff was pleasant and I really enjoyed Peachy, our waitress was quite helpful in seating us down and explaining the menu to our party of 5. I would definitely return to this restaurant. By the way we was visiting from the Bahamas 🇧🇸

The food was good and tasted authentic. I especially enjoyed the papaya salad—it reminded me of the one I had in Thailand. However, I was disappointed with the service. We asked for a small bowl to help my 3-year-old son eat his fried rice more easily, but were told they don’t provide small bowls unless soup or steamed rice is ordered. We double-checked with two different staff members, so I don’t believe it was a misunderstanding. Unfortunately, due to this experience, I won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend this place for families with young children.

Found Daquise on a whim and honestly—it was spectacular. I'd give it 10 stars if I could. Everything from the warm, attentive service to the food itself was top-notch. It was actually the first Polish restaurant we've ever been to, and it totally exceeded expectations. I had the fried cod with spinach and horseradish sauce, which was perfectly crispy and full of flavor. My husband got the tender beef special with potatoes and beetroots. For dessert, we tried the cheesecake and apple cake, and wow—freshly made and absolutely delicious. The whole place had a cozy, old-world charm that reminded me of being somewhere in Western Europe, like Germany or Amsterdam. Such a gem!

Loved it here! Had the salmon main and a bunch of delicious starters to share- beetroot, vegetable salad, roast potatoes, and of course dumplings. Had some cheesecake and vodka for dessert. It’s so lovely inside and the service was helpful and attentive.

This wasn’t my first visit to this restaurant, and once again, it exceeded my expectations. The food is consistently delicious, offering that comforting, homemade taste that’s hard to find elsewhere. The service was excellent, and my friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our time here. We’ll definitely be coming back! The restaurant has a warm, cosy atmosphere that makes you feel as though you’ve stepped back in time. It’s truly a hidden gem for anyone craving authentic Polish cuisine and a unique dining experience.

Highly recommend Khan’s for a fresh, delicious curry. We were sat by the window and our food arrived very quickly. I especially recommend the Paneer Adrakwala! My friend asked for extra spice and it was brought out promptly. The service was quick and efficient also- I really enjoyed my meal 😊

Delicious food at a reasonable price and a lovely staff. Coming from the SF area we have A LOT of South Asian food and Khans of Kensington was fantastic. Service was incredible and the pictures speak for themselves. You must try when in London!

Khan Restaurant in Kingston is an excellent experience in every way. The food is delicious and varied, the service is outstanding, and the staff are very friendly. Most importantly, all dishes are 100% halal, and the prices are very reasonable compared to other Indian restaurants in London. Highly recommended!
Ahmed Al Omani - 2 weeks ago
The overall opinion on our visit to Khan's of Kensington was mixed. We visited this restaurant after making an online reservation for dinner. The service was a bit slow, and the staff were friendly, but unfortunately, inattentive. The food portions were decent, visually appealing, but the flavours were underwhelming, however, the biryani was tasty! The venue is small, and if you're seated with your back towards the isle, there's a good chance your meal will be interrupted a few times. If honest, it's unlikely we'd return, and we would be slightly hesitant to recommend going to eat here with so many other local venues in the area. 4/10.

The food was good but the great vibe and the friendly staff were even better. Great place to unwind at the end of a long day, either alone or with friends. Great menu and amazing selection of wine. Table staff also come with great selection of stories and anecdotes. Will be back soon.

Second visit here… I’d go more often if I actually lived closer!
On my first visit I had an Americana Pizza and a Seafood Linguine w/ tomato sauce. To my surprise this time around, the linguine wasn’t on the menu anymore! So I asked the smiley waitress if the chef could still cook that dish for me, lucky for me they still could! It was Lovely, super delicious. As for the pizza… do not sleep on the pizzas here, they’re Amazing and full of flavour!
Thanks again Rocca Di Papa! See you soon!

I can’t stress enough, please visit this fabulous restaurant. Visited in Feb after a natural history museum visit, visited yesterday after a science museum visit.
We will absolutely be back! The food is simply delicious, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming and the service is second to none. Vaska waited on us both times and treated us so incredibly well. Furthermore, he has the amazing ability to have a laugh and joke too.
Thank you all.

had a lovely meal here with my sister
i had the salmon pasta, absolutely delicious. she loved her pizza too. we also shared some bread for starters, and that was so yummy!
service was lovely, our server was kind and efficient. though the tables were quite close together it was worth it for the great food.
well priced too.

It's OK. Nice enough inside, a bit art deco.
Food was ok, not the best I've had, but not the worst. Pizza was ok, tasted a little bit generic. The bread for the bruschetta was a bit burnt, and tasted burnt. Service was good. Price was reasonable, but that's all I can say really. It was reasonable.

I recently visited Dozo in South Kensington for Japanese food and had a good experience overall. The restaurant has a cozy, stylish interior that makes it a nice spot for a casual dinner. The sushi was fresh and well-prepared, and the menu offered a good variety beyond just the basics. Service was polite and efficient, though the pace felt a little rushed at times. Prices are on the higher side, but that’s expected for the area. Overall, a solid choice if you’re looking for Japanese food in South Kensington.

Absolutely loved this Japanese restaurant! The vibe is super cozy and authentic—felt like a mini Tokyo escape. The sashimi was insanely fresh, and the sushi was just the right balance of rice and filling. Big shoutout to the salmon and unagi—chef’s kiss!
The staff were super friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. 10/10 would come back again (and again). If you’re into good vibes and even better sushi—this is the spot. Mwah mwah!

SO UNDERRATED. Tried a lot of Japanese food and can honestly say this sushi is some of the best we have ever had. We got the dragon maki and spicy beef ramen. Both had layers of flavours especially the dragon maki. Our starter scallop cappacio was fresh and flavoursome. And our drinks, the strawberry mocktail was sweet and fresh with a lovely mint and lime undertone and Dozo purple dragon was fruity and sweet not too strong. The service from Ken and another waitress was very attentive and friendly and we’d definitely come back! Overall we spent a little more than usual £77 for 2 people but it is truly worth the quality of food you get. 100% recommend!!

Popped in here for a bite to eat and a drink. It is a lovely pub nice and spacious inside with lots of charming features.

This is a fine traditional looking pub in a lovely location, with plenty of spacious indoor seating as well as some outside seating.

The fish and chips were fairly standard — I would’ve liked a few more chips. The pie, however, was very tasty.
