5 Star Rating Enjoyed the loveliest afternoon tea with my daughter at the Orangerie today. Fabulous in every way! We were able to sit in the beautiful garden thanks to warm blankets provided by the restaurant. Our server Lotte was just fabulous - so attentive, friendly and helpful. Best afternoon tea selection ever! Their gluten and dairy free option was amazing and just as abundant and delicious as the regular menu. This designer hotel is stunning, and so is their restaurant. Thank you for making our Mother’s Day so special 💫

5 Star Rating If we could give 100 stars we would. From the moment we entered this charming hotel we were greeted by the friendly staff. Everything about this hotel is exquisite. From the details to the service, all are above and beyond exceptions. The beds were incredibly comfortable with luxurious linens. The spacious sitting rooms were a lovely place to unwind after a long day. We loved the interior design. The breakfast is not to be missed and the orangery and outdoor patio are a total delight. Everything was spotless- impeccably clean! Best of all was the warm and accommodating staff. Number Sixteen feels like a home away from home and our stay here was the highlight of our trip.

4 Star Rating The Number Sixteen Hotel is located in South Kensington, just a short walk from the Underground. There are many lovely, high-quality shops nearby. Even from the outside, the hotel makes a magnificent, elegant impression. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Inside, as can be seen in the photos, the décor is high-quality and elegant. Colourful and welcoming. The photos give the impression of a size that isn’t actually there. Everything is much smaller. But that’s not a drawback: it’s very cosy and never overcrowded. The toiletries in the rooms are excellent. The breakfast is varied and leaves a positive impression. Unfortunately, I must also voice some criticism, and I am still far from impressed by this, so I probably won’t be returning: I paid just over €500.00 per night, and for that I expect a room as I see it in the photos online. Our room, however, was different. We were put up in the basement. You might as well call it what it is: in the cellar, with little natural light and a humming machine outside the window (air conditioning unit), so that we couldn’t sleep with the window open. Even though everything met our high standards, I still feel, even now when I look back, as though we were shunted into a room that nobody wants. That still casts a shadow over the experience.

4 Star Rating Stopped off here for a quick lunch before an event at the Royal Albert Hall. Fresh, well prepared small tapas dishes served up quickly. All the items I had were good, but the highlight was the heritage tomato salad (a daily special). A simple dish but executed to perfection. The service was also great - really friendly and welcoming.

4 Star Rating Visited during weekday lunchtime. Had the weekday offer for 3 tapas, quality is average but all of them seemed to be served cold which we didn’t expect. Octopus dish was really nice and flavourful really enjoyed it. The cod was quite bland, after the meal we asked the waiter we did not taste any truffle in the dish, and realised the other staff must have forgotten to put truffle on top after serving, but we were still charged full price for the dish. We asked after receiving the bill again and the manager offered a discount in the end

4 Star Rating We had dinner on a Fri evening. The area is nice, central, vibes and atmosphere are good and vibrant. The service is quick and people are friendly. Music is fine as well. We ordered padron pepper, patatas bravas and prawn. The service was quick and food was delicious. We paired the food with rose wine. I recommend to stop by, reservations are recommended but we were able to get a table. In means of pricing, it is reasonable compared to location and service. Recommended for dates, single dinners or or for groups!

4 Star Rating Very nice place to stay in South Kensington. Conveniently located next to the South Kensington station on the tube, next to lots of restaurants and cafes to grab a bite to eat or a cozy beverage. My room was well-stocked, clean, and neatly decorated. The tub was FABULOUS – big plus. Staff was friendly and courteous. Only downside is the in-room coffeemaker didn't quite work (kettle was fine, though!). I have no doubt the staff would've sorted this for me immediately if I'd reached out, but I was so close to numerous cafes that I just chose to pop right out for a cup instead. Nice place to stay-- I'll probably be back, and will let any friends traveling to London know about this place as well.

5 Star Rating My husband and I stayed at the Pelham during our time in London. The staff is wonderful and the location is hard to beat. I really enjoyed the quality of the room and its amenities. We stayed during a heat wave in London so the air conditioning made our stay comfortable and pleasant. I also loved the quality of the sheets and bedding. All in all a wonderful stay and look forward to staying again and visiting its sister properties.

5 Star Rating This was my first time staying at The Pelham. I spent a week here and loved every minute. From the moment I walked into the hotel, I felt welcomed and cared for. My room was exceedingly comfortable. The bed is wonderfully soft. A complementary, two-tiered fruit tray awaited me in my room. My toiletries and other amenities were refreshed and replaced without me ever needing to ask for more. Customer service was top-notch, including everyone I met at the front desk, concierges, and housekeeping. I especially enjoyed visiting with Thomas, who was always friendly, inquisitive, and helpful. I never partook in meals at the hotel only because I was out and about around the city, from morning to night of each day, but menu offerings looked delicious. The hotel also offers certain food items available for room service 24 hours a day, which I find impressive. I highly recommend staying here and hope to return someday in the future.

The breakfasts were great, with some of the best coffee of our trip. The room had character, and we were serenaded by pigeons outside the bathroom window. The staff were incredibly helpful. Overall, this is one hotel that I really hope I get to visit again.

5 Star Rating Friendly staff serving delicious good quality food. I had the Zen Garden £16.95 Balance of Yin and Yang: broccoli and ginger with prawns in soya sauce and garlic. Delicate dish with lovely fresh ginger. My husband had the Jungle chicken curry. The spiciest curry in the house without coconut milk with wild galangal, bamboo shoots, long beans, and bell pepper. We were both very satisfied with our meal.

3 Star Rating We love Thai food but were sadly disappointed in the experience. My scampi didn’t arrive until long after my husband had finished his cashew nut chicken. I even had to ask twice about my meal. My food was good although I wasn’t expecting it to be cold, but not enjoyable by that point. The cashew nut meal was too bland. The duck egg rolls were just ok.

We ordered maybe a bit too much, but left absolutely stuffed and satisfied. My favorite side was the pan fried sauerkraut (a recommendation from the waiter) and my boyfriend’s favorite dish was the veal schnitzel. 10/10 recommend, prices were so reasonable as well!

5 Star Rating Delightful experience last evening at Daquise. The restaurant feels authentic and rightfully so since it’s been there for decades and hopefully will stay to delight future generations who will appreciate delicious and authentic Polish cuisine. The waitress was truly fantastic at recommending the perfect dishes to taste the best offerings of the restaurant. Each dish was packed with flavour and perfectly cooked without any unnecessary adornments. We started with their dumplings, three varieties, all tasty. Then we moved onto the starters and the highlight was the potato pancakes with smoked salmon, a pairing that was absolutely perfect. The crispness of the pancakes and the softness of the salmon and the right balance of flavours. The mains didn’t disappoint, beef goulash was tender with a sauce that was thick but not heavy. Veal escalope had a melt in the mouth texture with a stunning velvety sauce that made you want to mop it up with bread. To finish off the meal we ordered the Apple fritters and the cheesecake. The fritters were one of the best and simple desserts we’ve had. The cheesecake was ok but the fritters truly tasted like something from a grandma’s kitchen made with love. You won’t be disappointed dining here and the atmosphere adds to the down to earth yet charming vibe to the place.

3 Star Rating The food is good but nothing special. If you grew up on food like this, you will get the flavours that will send you back home, but to be honest, for such price and place I expected more. Zurek soup was something new for me and the flavour was good. Unfortunately, I got an egg shell and it immediately affected my impression. Pork tenderloin was good with intense mustard sauce. Liver doesn't come with a side so the waiter helpfully suggested ordering something for the side, but I didn't make the right decision going for fried sauerkraut. Better to pair it with mash potatoes. The liver portion was too big, and again, nothing special when it comes to flavour. The place looks nice and the service is on high level. The seats along the wall are uncomfortable and too high (or the table is too low) so your knees are jammed.

The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming from the moment we walked in — the kind of service that makes a place feel genuinely special. 4 Star Rating We popped in between hospital appointments and were pleasantly surprised by this little restaurant. We opted for the lunchtime menu-Bruschetta pomodoro and Fettucine bolognese caprese and pepperoni pizza and 2 home-made lemonades. The food was tasty and hot. The pizza base could have been a bit crispier but we're used to cooking pizzas at home and just prefer that style. The service was friendly and quick. Everyone seemed happy and all were busy greeting customers, waiting on tables and clearing empty plates. I really loved the decor inside-quite rustic but minimal. One of the waiters tried to convince us the photos were of Scotland but then told us they were of Tuscany! We enjoyed our meal and could recommend it for a nice little lunch.

3 Star Rating We stopped here for lunch after stumbling across the place with my aunt. From the moment we walked in, the welcome was lukewarm at best. No smiles or greeting, just a waiter who pointed us to a table like we were an inconvenience. The service didn't improve. Our waitress was indifferent and spoke in a tone that felt out of place for a mid-range restaurant. I've genuinely received warmer, more enthusiastic service at a McDonald's. When my aunt asked if the wine on display was the house wine, the waitress replied, "Exactly that," in a noticeably condescending way. The wine was then served in a glass that looked cloudy, as if it hadn't been properly cleaned. The water glasses were also dusty and had visible fingerprints. We were only given clean ones after another waiter took them from a different table. The garlic bread was hot and enjoyable. My fettuccine bolognese was disappointing with very little sauce and the pasta was stuck together, as if it had been microwaved. My aunt, however, really liked her lasagna and said she would return for it.

5 Star Rating It is a really nice small Japanese restaurant with some interesting dishes. Our favourite was the rock and roll which had a unique cheese combination on top. You'll find classic dishes, a wide range of sushi and hot food as well as more interesting combinations like eel. The price per person is around £30 but could vary a lot based on what you order. Overall, I'm giving 5 stars because it was really nice and met our expectations of a small Japanese restaurant. I'd recommend you stop by!

5 Star Rating Great spot near the V&A! I visited Dozo after spending the afternoon at the V&A, and it turned out to be the perfect post-museum meal. Their sukiyaki is my absolute favorite – rich, comforting, and full of ingredients. The volcano roll is exactly as dramatic as it sounds – bold, flavorful, and beautifully plated. They also had a half-price promo on it this week, which made it even better. A great little find in South Kensington – especially if you want something warm and satisfying after a long museum day.

5 Star Rating 🍣 I love trying different sushi platters here — the quality is always consistent. 😍 My absolute favorite is the Volcano Roll 🌋 The sauce has a slight sweet-and-spicy kick, the fish is so fresh it literally melts in your mouth, and it looks amazing in photos too 📸 🫶 Foie gras & eel lovers, this is your moment 😄 Their foie gras sushi is a must-order for me every time — perfectly seared, rich and buttery with so much aroma. The eel is also prepared beautifully, super delicate with no fishiness at all. The sweetness of the sauce is just right, and paired with the rice… it’s honestly next level.

5 Star Rating I’ve been to DOZO in Soho twice before, so when I found out there’s another branch in South Kensington, I had to try it. The foie gras hand roll is a must order – crispy on the outside, rich and buttery inside, perfectly balanced with warm rice. The salmon sashimi was impressively thick and very fresh. The Dragon Maki looked amazing and is a great option if you don’t eat raw fish. The unagi rice bowl was slightly on the sweeter side, but really satisfying if you like sweet-savory flavours. The atmosphere feels like a cozy Japanese izakaya and it gets quite busy at dinner time. Around £30 per person and definitely worth it. Would come back again!

3 Star Rating This traditional Victorian corner pub is a cozy place to have a drink. The staff are friendly and helpful. However, I’m not so sure about the food. I ordered the Scotch egg. Pork, smoked bacon and apple scotch egg which came with home-made style piccalili. My friend ordered the hand battered fishfingers which came on a farmhouse loaf. Atlantic cod goujons and tartar sauce. My scotch egg was okay. It didn’t taste like your traditional scotch egg and The home-made pickle was a little tart for my pallet. My friends fish fingers were tasty but unfortunately the bread that they came on was stale. As if it was the end of the loaf and had been out for a few hours so she couldn’t eat any of the bread. When I showed the wait staff the bread they took 20% off the bill which I thought was fair. A gentleman next to us had the sticky toffee pudding which looked and smelled amazing.

5 Star Rating Called in during a visit to London. This pub was incredible! It was very busy but got a table after a very short wait. Team were all very lovely and attentive. We had the pork belly from the specials. Even though the pub was packed. It came out very quick and tasted amazing! We were served by Asha who is a credit to the Zetland. Thanks so much for your hospitality. Will definitely return next time we visit.

4 Star Rating Lovely quaint pub in great location with traditional/modern decor. Pub is clean and has a lovely ambience we enjoyed sitting at the window watching the world go by with a pint. Food was nice. Service a bit on the slow side especially since it wasn’t really busy but overall a good experience.
