4 Star Rating For starters you can never go wrong with the Zucchini fritti, honestly best i’ve had in London so far super crispy. Moving onto the Lobster linguine it was nice, but not worth the price in my opinion. Affogato to top it off, nothing but pure joy. Staff were very accommodating and the house white was a delight!

2 Star Rating Get ready to be bled. That’s their business model. The place can be summarised in 3 “hyper” adjectives (rare qualities these days): hyper salty, hyper expensive, hyper grim. - hyper-salty: they add so much salt to the food to give it flavour, that the dead sea is now running out of salt. The mark of a good Italian chef is to NOT add too much salt, by the way… most Italian chefs would either laugh or cry at it. Personally, I cried … - hyper-expensive: the wines prices are insultingly expensive and likely to be the most expensive in London - for what they are. You can find the same wines between 30% and 50% cheaper, pretty much anywhere else in London. So simply avoid wine altogether… Also they don’t do lunch menus. They need to bleed you at all costs since you are more than happy to throw money out the window… - hyper-grim service: staff do not smile to clients… ever. As if it was painful to serve people, even when they smile at you. Also we were 6 on a table for 4: they obviously need to maximise space for such high prices in the first place. We barely had space to eat our food… What a place!

2 Star Rating Don’t be greedy… Why even bother setting up tables outside in WINTER if you don’t have enough heaters. I’m baffled at how people haven’t complained more about this. If you set up tables outside in winter you should have enough infrastructure to guard against the weather. Clearly greed has gotten the best out of a place with otherwise average food. Never coming here again with my work colleagues and recommending against it to everyone I know.

4 Star Rating On entering I was sent upstairs to sit and the first thing I noticed was there was a strange smell, mustardy. Didn’t like it If it weren’t for the peculiar toxic smell I would’ve rated this restaurant five stars Glanced the menu. It was expensive I only had 50 minutes to spare so I ordered the chips only They were very lovely and stood out against all other chips. They were perfectly cooked giant chips, not oily or overcooked or anything Perfect! That’ll do for £6/7 Glad I popped in Recommended

4 Star Rating A very popular restaurant during lunchtime for takeaways and dine in too. I recommend the tuna and octopus as starters, especially the tuna which is a great sharing dish. As the main, I subject Monkfish, good potion and take was brilliant! The only thing I would say, book in advance! Downside of the whole experience would be that it’s slightly overpriced.

5 Star Rating We went for a quick dinner on Thursday night, restaurant was not too busy. Food was served quickly, nice and hot. They served some unique Dim Sum choices too. Staff are very attentive and helpful. They mentioned all the dish name when they served the food. Definitely a very pleasant visit.

5 Star Rating The benefit of a chain is it's uniform so you know what you're going to get. I'm a big fan of Pi g Pong restaurants and this one is no exception. Great tasting menu, it's enough food and their lunch time special means it's very reasonable. This branch is well located for St Paul's Cathedral and cannon street station.

5 Star Rating The food and service at Ping Pong is always brilliant. The staff were really welcoming and attentive! I have a couple of dietary restrictions, and there’s still a great range of options for me to choose from and enjoy - the food is delicious, they have a good gluten free menu, and a detailed allergy matrix which is helpful. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

5 Star Rating Perfect location while touring. Popped off the tour bus for St. Paul’s and it is right there. Checked reviews and grabbed a table outside. Ordered chicken liver starter which came in a cute jar, wonderful jam and perfectly toasted points. Scraped the jar clean. We ordered from their very reasonably priced three course prefix: carrot and roasted squash soup, sea bass and plum clafoutis. See menu choices in the pics. Everything was very good. Service was good as well.

3 Star Rating The food is ok. They have several vegetarian choices (crepe, burger), and a good selection of frenchish dishes. It is wiser to make a reservation, as at 1700 hrs they seated us on a tiny table next to stairs where the wait staff could not reach! The prices are reasonable, the dishes not too big. The food is served fast.

5 Star Rating It was great food. Very delicious and look nice. We didn’t know that they charge tips for the bill. It was my first tip culture in the UK, and I was a little confused because there was no explanation from the staff. It turned out that the bill said voluntary tip in small letters. However, tourists who are not good at English need sufficient explanation for this.

4 Star Rating Second outdoor dining experience since lockdown easing. So grateful to be able to drink a pint of peroni with some friends. The food is delicious and service excellent, especially with one of the managers who was super friendly. Service speed is also pretty good. Location is in the alley so not ideal but works, sadly it was quite cold as not enough heaters to go round. Also, we asked for a beer from two different waiters for a friend, and although the 5th beer ever came we were charged. Nevertheless, the super friendly manager came to the rescue. A three course with a beer, and a bottle of malbec between 4 came to almost £60, definitely not cheap but probably reasonable with the alcohol. (PS sorry for the bad looking second photo, was too hungry and forgot to take the photo first)

2 Star Rating Food is fantastic, though starter sizes (just average presentation) not worth the price. Al fresco seating was nice tho careful of pigeons and gulls. And we were unlucky to have the bells going non stop since 7:06pm for two hours. My partner had to put on his ear plugs. Service does affect our experience a lot. Waved our hands to get attention but still no response, then we went over to them to order. Starter came but we still without drinks. And we thought of making it easy for them by asking for a jug of water but they say they can only bring glasses of water. Then we ordered drinks, those are fast. So water be slow, paid drinks be fast. Think maybe when you were sat outdoors, there was only the one person, and when another staff tried to help, seems the one person has control and didn't seem to like the help. And that one person didn't seem to be happy given the workload he piled on himself. Different experience to other Haz we've been.

4 Star Rating I had made a reservation thinking the place would be busy for a Saturday evening but it seemed fairly quiet in terms of diners. The restaurant has a premium feeling with the dim lighting, comfortable chairs and nice decor. Ordered the following: Icli Kofte (stuffed meatballs) was delicious. Iskender Kebap came with lamb shish, chicken, lamb kofte and was served with yoghurt and pide bread. It was perfectly cooked and flavourful with a generous amount of meat. La Passion mocktail was ok, standard fruit juice. Granted we were dining in the city and as such I’d expect to pay more for everything but for what we got it felt a tad overpriced as the chips and salad needed to be ordered separately. Service provided by Engin Kemer was exceptional from taking our order to checking in on us throughout our meal. I would recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for halal Turkish food in the St Paul's area.

4 Star Rating Saturday night dinner! Haz has improved a lot since the last time I’ve dined in the restaurant. The food was very delicious and enjoyed it a lot. I’ve ordered the octopus for starters and for main the swordfish - my favourite seafood dishes. My partner went for the chicken skewers for main and did not like them and felt his stomach didn’t agree with his dish choice. Overall I enjoyed my meal , the octopus wasn’t oily at all and just enough lemon flavour and the sliced green olives were a great touch, the swordfish was grilled and was served with a chimichurri sauce (tasted like it) and a tomato base sauce for the boiled potato and spinach. I definitely recommend these dishes. The waiter was very friendly and delivered a very good service, the food was very quick to arrive.

2 Star Rating Sadly not the best experience. Food is expensive for its quality/taste and service could be better. Note - The festive menu has not been designed for dietary requirements and prices for vegetarian options on the festive menu are double the price when compared to the same dishes on the normal lunch menu! We came during a busy lunch time so service was very slow. Some dishes came so late that others in our party had already finished eating. Main portions were good, but sides and starters are very small for their price (e.g. small bowl of chips for £5). The location is good, but I wouldn't return unfortunately.

4 Star Rating I wish I could rate this café a 4.9/5 just because it doesn’t feel fair to take off a full star, but I did get robbed while at a table upstairs and I just can’t give it a perfect score. That being said! When the event occurred, the staff were really nice and, long story short, the whole thing resolved beautifully. Now on to the actual regular experience one should have upon visiting this PAUL: The coffee’s fine, the pastries are fine, the location is exceptional, and the café itself is so warm and cozy, especially upstairs (but just because it feels safe and cozy, don’t leave your wallets out in the open people). Oh and keep in mind (at least as of October 2022) you can’t pay in cash.

4 Star Rating Authentically Italian dining experience. (1) Good variety of Italian dishes (2) Service was prompt and attentive. There are some very good Italian waitresses and willing to engage with guests / we had an Italian amongst us (3) Location is great and in Central London (4) Price is higher than normal so value is a bit on the lesser side (5) Food was tasty although my main dish was a bit salty - the appetizers were good and main dishes had veggie options - although the pasta was a bit too “al dente” for me. Overall a good option for business lunch if you are in the area

5 Star Rating We celebrated my son's 21st birthday here with a table for 7. Tucked away on a small side street in the City of London, we found a warm, welcoming atmosphere, excellent food (and we are very fussy about Italian) and perfect service. An earlier review says food portions are small but our experience was quite the opposite. We almost couldn't finish our main dishes but did because they were so good. 2 of us are vegetarian. I had the most delicious pasta with aubergine and scamorza/ricotta cheese and my son had the veg version of a wild mushroom and cream tagliatelle, also delicious. Everybody else had seafood dishes which they were highly impressed with. A bit more than we normally pay for Italian but well worth it. A real treat and perfect for our event. We are so glad we took a chance on this place and will come back for special occasions.

3 Star Rating We visited for a birthday party. Great atmosphere and service from the waiting staff. Unfortunately the food portions were very small. For example I ordered steak for my main. It came with 4 small vine roasted tomatoes. No potatoes or side veg. I was still hungry on leaving the restaurant. Most people had a starter, main and shared a large birthday cake for desert. The host had paid £400 towards the final bill. We still ended up paying £75 per head.

5 Star Rating I always enjoyed the food here! I had the homemade pasta with prawn, mussels, clams, etc.. The taste and texture of the pasta and sauce were amazing and the seafood was really fresh! My fiance had a medium rare steak which was cooked to perfection! The calamari and whitebait tempura were really tasty too. Shame I couldn't have dessert because I was already full! Would definitely come back again. Staff are nice. Facilities are clean.
