5 Star Rating We had a fantastic 5 days in London and the hotel itself was a key part of this. The staff at mealtimes were more than helpful, engaging with us at just the right level of attention. The evening meals were satisfying and not too expensive. Breakfasts offered a wide range of choices that suite both my wife and myself. We slept very well in our room which was quiet, at a sensible temperature and well maintained. We noted the hotel chain philosophy and were impressed by the way the staff performed to the high standards set.

4 Star Rating the hotel is in a great location, it's clean and the staff were great. good selection for breakfast. we just found the room layout a little odd, having the main bathroom sink in the living / sleeping area, I guess this is done to create a sense of more space.

4 Star Rating We were overall satisfied however on our last day when my partner returned to the room during breakfast our room key was deactivated and there was letter saying we had not paid -this was a complete shock and untrue as money had left our account. He enquired immediately at reception - receptionist was polite but did suggest we may need to pay again until first payment comes through which was not an option given our budget. We were reassured this would be sorted and by the end of our breakfast we were told payment was secured. We felt it was inappropriate to deactivate the key card essentially locking ourselves and our kids out of the room under the assumption we had not paid -which was not the case. I feel this could have been handled better- particularly given that they were able to sort their side without us needing to take further action. It was embarrassing and upsetting to be treated as if we did not make payment and I feel they should review their processes if this is regular practice.

5 Star Rating We selected it for its location. It was low cost however we found that it offers all the features that are usually offered with higher costs. Tower bridge is right in front of the hotel, just 100-150 steps. It is a very walkable area. Underground train and bus stations are also just steps away. In rooms, they offer good variety of tea and coffee

5 Star Rating Absolutely love this restaurant. The food is delicious, and the staff are so polite and attentive. The menu has a great range of meats and sides to choose from. 5 Star Rating Two different reviews... First visit 4 May I waited 40 mins without acknowledgement from female who saw me to a window seat. Upstairs wasn't busy and I was in full view of the bar. William then approached and was met with my honest answer of "I was about to leave". I was checking reviews which highlighted this issue and considering where else to go. Am glad I stayed as the food was delicious and I returned a second time 5 May and thanks to Lake the experience was night and day. Proactively chasing up my order, capturing a late change but also hospitable, chatty and attentive. I would write two polar opposite reviews! I'd return again but it would depend on who is working.

5 Star Rating My favourite restaurant experience in London! To begin with, we noticed that hanging on the wall near the entrance, there were wooden beer flight boards. When we asked if they offered flights, the server said no, but he went out of his way to give us some small tasters in a bunch of glasses for free anyway. Throughout, the service was fast, friendly and detail-oriented. As for the food, its the best barbecue I've ever had, including what I've tried in Texas and other parts of the US and Canada. The platter for two was amazing, and the fries we ordered on the side were among the best I've ever had. The music was a bit loud, but that's the typical vibe for a place like this. All in all, such a great experience!

5 Star Rating I recently dined at Bodean's Tower Hill and I must say, it was an exceptional experience! All the staff (esp Vicktor) were incredibly attentive and friendly, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Their service was prompt and professional, ensuring that our dining experience was seamless and enjoyable. The food was absolutely delicious, with each dish prepared to perfection. The flavours were well-balanced, and the presentation was impressive. Whether you're a fan of classic BBQ dishes or looking for something more adventurous, their menu has something for everyone. One of the highlights of the evening was their impressive selection of bourbon whiskey. The variety was extensive, featuring both well-known brands and unique, hard-to-find bottles. The staff were knowledgeable and offered great recommendations, enhancing our overall experience. Overall, Bodean's Tower Hill is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy great food, excellent service, and a fantastic bourbon whiskey selection. I can't wait to return!

5 Star Rating This brew dog pub was just round the corner from the Tower Hill one, albeit much smaller. Hardly anyone in there when we visited early Saturday afternoon, so within minutes of getting inside we had a drink and was sat down. Good selection of drinks as you would expect - was thankful to the lady working the bar who gave us a taste of one of the drinks before ordering a full pint, it swayed me to order something else!!

4 Star Rating Came for dinner last week whilst in the area, and thoroughly enjoyed stepping outside my comfort zone a bit and trying something different! The food was great quality, and the drinks were lovely. On top of that the staff were also friendly and attentive. 3 Star Rating My first time here. We ordered a few salad and some rice dishes. The Katsu rice dish had a huge amount of rice, too much in my opinion. It felt like the price had to be justified with a huge portion of food, but mostly rice. The taste was fine. The salads were fresh but impossible to eat without knife and fork. The place was very noisy and reminded me most of all about a cafeteria.

4 Star Rating The service was a little surly, but the space makes up for it. In the area, it feels a bit unique. As you walk in, it's bifurcated into two halves. The bar is straight ahead. The beer on this day was nearly completely IPA, which is a no go for me. The burger was fulfilling with a small number of chips. That was a little light to be honest.

4 Star Rating The food was well done. If you like thai food then go for it. Personally I only like a couple dishes and I didn't like the tamarind duck. It was too sweet and too many flavours all competing. However the staff were nice and attentive and my vegan friend liked the food. Its quite big inside with a relaxed atmosphere. There were a lot of single diners in there so don't be shy about it. It's also a good place for a group meal if you like thai food.

However, the egg fried rice tasted more like plain rice, with very little egg in it. And it was a bit mushy too. Staff were polite and converse well in English too. Overall the place was good, with good atmosphere and ample seating.

2 Star Rating not sure why this place got a 4.4? The food was certainly below average. Coconut soup was too sour, the sweet and sour chicken were soggy and way too sweet, don’t even mention the chicken satay stick which was so overcooked and simply disintegrated into small bits when being bitten. The pad thai was ok but i would say it’s also a bit on the too-sour side. I came here cuz of an asian food craving but left there feeling very disappointed.

3 Star Rating I went for lunch here today. I had, you guessed it, Carbonara. The chorizo one. The cheaper (but still expensive) one of the two. The carbonara wasn’t great. The pancetta on the top was good but the spaghetti wasn’t great. It was really thin and didn’t have a particularly good texture of flavour. The chorizo was tiny and tasted cheap. Finally it was £17 was is possibly the most expensive carbonara I’ve ever eaten. It wasn’t even the most expensive one on the menu. The staff were pretty friendly. The place was a bit tired looking in places. Good example being the menu which had something attached to the front which was ripped and the menu was filled in two other places on the folds. Good for groups and families and perhaps there are other dishes which are better but it’s expensive for something which doesn’t have a very authentic feel to it.
