5 Star Rating Note this is based only on the room. No other amenities were used. The room was a good size, ample sockets and fantastic to find a 3 pin plug next to the bed. Shower was terrific and a very comfortable bed although it was two pushed together. Fairly good price for London, with a superb location. Reception staff were also fantastic

4 Star Rating Hotel facilities very good. Room was very clean. Good shower. You have to get water from a corridor for making a drink not good. Reception very polite and efficient. Breakfast has plenty of choice and a good coffee machine. Found the hot breakfast luke warm. Had a problem at the bar area by rude bar tender, complained at hotel reception who apologised and rectified situation. Great location but needs some points addressing to get higher rating.

3 Star Rating Restaurant service was exceptional and Mr Khan provided brilliant customer service. Very welcoming and friendly and helped me with food choices. Reception ladies were all great, very welcoming, and helpful. Was not happy both steam and sauna did not work, main reason I booked this hotel was due to the spa, both never worked. not happy with that. ( I got up early just to use them, would have been great post marathon) Apart from the hotel was decent.

5 Star Rating Great meal in Bodeans Friday lunchtime. We know it gets busy so got there for opening. We were five minutes early but they let us in which was really nice of them. My colleague and I had the platter for two to share at £20 which had chicken thighs, ribs, burnt ends, pulled pork, fries and short rib. It was delicious. Couldn’t fault the food at all. Very tasty and plenty of sauces on hand. I liked the burnt ends the most. They served us promptly so managed to get out and back in an hour which is fantastic for a sit down meal in the city. Pound for pound you can get better portions of similar food elsewhere in London but this area is expensive so is fair. Have been before and will go again.

4 Star Rating The food was satisfying overall, with the baby back ribs standing out as particularly delicious. While the burger was tasty, it didn't quite reach the level of exceptional and something to write home about . Service was top-notch, although the atmosphere at this branch of Bodean’s wasn’t up their with the Soho branch. However, still good value for money. Plus point. They have some fairly good vegan options.

4 Star Rating A nice American style BBQ near Tower Hill that is a good alternative to more traditional British style pubs. Selection of foods was good as was the variety of drinks to choose from. only small downside was the staff that did not look overly motivated and happy to welcome guests. so if you just want to enjoy some American food and listen to Blues and American 70ies Rock, this is a good place to go...

3 Star Rating Tasty Smoked Beef Experience at Bodean’s Tower Hill Branch Being a beef lover, I couldn’t resist trying the American-style smoked beef at Bodean’s Tower Hill branch. The staff were really helpful in guiding me through the menu options, which I appreciated. The food was decent, although I only learned after eating that you can choose to have it wet or dry, meaning with or without BBQ sauce. The beef itself was tender and flavorful, though it could have been a bit hotter. I’m looking forward to going back and trying their burnt ends next time. Plus, the prices were reasonable, which is always a bonus.

5 Star Rating I recently had the pleasure of dining at The windsor Pub, and I must say, the food exceeded my expectations in every way. This charming establishment offers a diverse menu that caters to all tastes, making it a fantastic spot for a hearty meal. The fish and chips were a standout. The fish was perfectly fried with a crispy, golden batter that encased tender, flaky fish. The chips were equally impressive—crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and served with a delicious tartar sauce that complemented the dish perfectly.

2 Star Rating This was our first time and we needed some explanation on how the menu works. The waitress was helpful and explained everything but after we ordered I don’t know what happened- our salad, rolls, edamame, ribs came after dim sum. It came out to be very pricey for 3 people - the portions are extremely small. So if you can go back on Sunday - they have a better deal. For us it was one time deal because we were just visiting.

5 Star Rating Nice to be able to walk in and get a table straight away. Lovely area looking over the dock too! It was our first visit and the service was very absent. We had no explanation of how to order and had to work it out ourselves. You order via a form that you tick what you want. We ordered the special soup dumpling, duck spring rolls and honey rice bowl, all were lovely and fresh too. The best dishes we had were the Katsu curry boa buns and the char siu pork buns they were so flavourful. The park crackers are a must too. The let down was the prawn dim sum, they had an odd taste and the cocktails were a bit too ‘out there’, one even had a weird texture. Would definitely come back but would like more attentive service and an explanation of how to order would be great.

5 Star Rating Absolutely thrilled with my visit this past Friday! Despite the pub being incredibly busy, the experience was top-notch, thanks to one exceptional staff member. The girl in glasses was not only extremely helpful but also incredibly nice and patient. When I asked for beer recommendations, she thoughtfully guided me through their impressive selection. I ended up trying all her suggestions, and I have to say, the Lemongrass Lager was the standout favorite. Her knowledge and friendly demeanor made a busy night feel personal and enjoyable. Five stars all the way—can't wait to return!

2 Star Rating Very nice beer aptly recommended by a friendly bar tender to my broad-brushed spec. But my Caesar salad (arriving in 30 min after a few nudges) was something truly weird: very chewy chicken under what tasted like condensed milk. Perhaps a burger would have been a better choice (there are a few on the menu). The atmosphere is chilled, as expected of a good beer bar.

5 Star Rating I'm obsessed with Wagamama! It's one of my favourite takeaway options in the area. I love the care they take with the packaging and the quality of the food, even for takeaway. Usually, standards drop with takeaway, but that's not the case here. They have tons of vegan options, which is always a plus for me. The Crispy Chilli Oyster Mushrooms as a side are superb. I highly recommend them. They're crispy and delicious. The Yasai Vegetable Gyoza are also nice, but average. A portion comes with 5 gyoza, which is a good deal. The Tofu Hot Pot was a good-sized portion and super tasty. I can't wait to try the rest of the menu, especially the Mushroom Bao Buns!

I had eaten at this chain previously in another city/country, so I knew it was probably going to be fine, but it was delicious. 5 Star Rating What an evening! It was so fantastic that I ended up here twice in one week! As you descend the stairs into the dark, red-lit venue, you can feel on your skin that this place is something special. It's a place where you can indulge in what daylight forbids, giving space to your deepest fantasies. I felt like I was at Fangtasia from the TV series True Blood. A big shoutout to all the performers. The singer's incredible voice gives you goosebumps, and the fire artist and dancers are exceptionally talented. Although the set menu is not very filling, with portions being quite small and light, the overall experience is a must-try if you're in the area. My friends and I had the best time. Also, thanks to our waiter (Mark, if I remember correctly), who was really friendly and attentive. Highly recommended!

We had a slightly obstructed view but this didnt take away from the performaces at all. Staff were attentive with drinks and food and all was lovely. 100000% think the performers deserve more credit than they were given, especially by some people who couldn't take a joke and decided to throw a tantrum.... 2 Star Rating Had an amazing time for my hen do here this weekend. at least amazing time watching it! Amazing performances , great atmosphere ! I would love to go here again and would have loved to make it a place I frequently visited but can’t get over how conned we felt by our bill. The tickets had already been bought and we spent £102 on drinks at the table. However the bill came to nearly £200. When I enquired the waiter said everyone complains about the service charge. The service charge nearly doubled our bill! They added service charge for our tickets and wanted to charge us an extra £2 each for a booking fee ! I managed to get the booking fee off ( we couldn’t find anything in the email that warned us this) but couldn’t get the massive unnecessary service charge off. It left us feeling quite deflated and we felt so conned. I have been to lots of burlesque nights/cabaret around London and have never experienced this ! I am happy to pay service thing but not at the same price as our drinks ! The service wasn’t even great as they got our drinks order wrong and after telling them all bar one of us was veggie proceeded to keep wanting to give us plates of meat (no pun intended ! Haha) overall great place but would not go again as we feel pretty robbed . And apparently so did a lot of people that night when we spoke to them when leaving. It was a shame as we were never told about all these hidden fees so be warned

Service was quick and we felt lucky to get great seats 🙏🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 we loved the cheekiness of the night. Heads up that there's a lot of self-admin to do when you book tickets here. A food form is sent to you via email so you can advise on your choices from the menu so it's difficult to change your order if you make a mistake or need to add an allergy after. This form is important though because it makes the food service smooth so as not to disrupt the show.

5 Star Rating Top notch performers!!! A dying breed of showtype. Cabarets don't really exist anymore, sadly. SO good for a girls' night! I took my mom and sister here and let me tell you some of the best cabaret style entertainment you can see!!! Girls were hot and the drinks were great!! Service could be a little better, but overall, I had a great experience and highly recommend! I loved how they were a fully fleshed show from top to bottom: lighting, music, visuals, choreo. The mc gave us a song to dance to at the end and after watching all those scrumptious acts with phenom music, I was itching for a moment to dance, so I appreciated it. Thanks Proud Cab 👏 keep it up guys 🫶

5 Star Rating So here's another pub to check out, particularly if you are interested in savouring a selection of guest ales, the like of which you'll struggle to find outside London. From my initial welcome by the friendly down-to-earth Sam to the outstanding service from Martin, I thoroughly enjoyed my evening here, albeit unusually quietly owing to a train strike. There is an abundance of lovely and comfortable places to sit that render you immersed in local history, of which I hope that you will experience a flavour from my photos. Having walked past this venue many times on my way to Towe Hill Station, I was glad that I seized the opportunity to visit. Unashamedly, I finished my meal with a sweet scone sundae, layered with vanilla ice cream, a sweet savoury cherry 🍒 compote, clotted cream, strawberries 🍓 and whipped cream. Strange, isn't it, that we Londoners, rush to and from our daily commute, without visiting the rich heritage right under our noses...

5 Star Rating A really nice pub that is tucked away in a back street to the east of the city. Quite a large space inside and I got a table easily. We ordered food and it took a while to come. We were just thinking of asking where the food was when it appeared. Worth the wait though, I had the steak and venison pie and it was a pure delight, light pastry with a good filling of very tender meat. My friend had the sausage and mash, which he also thought was delicious. They served a good range of beers and wines too. Well worth a visit.

The food was reasonably priced, high quality, and with good portion sizes, which is amazing, as it's hard to find somewhere that ticks all of those boxes in London. Atmosphere was what you'd expect from a busy British pub at lunchtime, but that's exactly what we wanted. Felt very much like a local establishment, and not a tourist trap. The service from Ed was absolutely top notch, give that man a raise! Strongly recommend the vegan cheesecake, it was delicious.

3 Star Rating VISIT DATE: 01/06/2024 VISIT TIME: 18:00 - 20:30 Visited this branch of Zizzi as a get together of colleagues from my work Christian staff network. There were 9 of us in total and the restaurant was easily able to accommodate us as it had ample seating. The food is standard for Zizzi - pizza, pasta and other options, all very nicely prepared, but portion sizes are not generous and I find their pizza and pasta fairly bland, so I went for the pork belly with hot honey glaze, starved with potatoes and green beans, which was really nice, but I could definitely have done with more potatoes! For dessert I enjoyed the caramel cheesecake and I also had a passion fruit mocktail, which was nice. Plus points: Service was prompt and staff were attentive. Large number of tables so can accommodate large groups. Kids options available. Accessible entry and accessible toilet, with baby change. Negatives: Accoustics not great so was hard to hear people clearly at times. Regular toilets down a reasonable number of stairs and, due to lighting choices, looked kinda dingey.
