CHOOSE YOUR ROOM CAREFULLY
It is a beautiful hotel and a lovely location. My entire stay the elevators were not working. My understanding is that they will be replacing them all and they need to. The elevator situation was untenable. The staff tried to deal with it as best they could but it was a major issue.
My first room was a Classic King and I could not get my suitcase open completely due to how tight the room was. I was willing to deal with it until I used the toilet. The bathroom, while lovely, was built with the toilet so tight between the basin and the wall that it was tighter than an airplane toilet! That was the deal breaker for me. I decided that I needed a bigger room and was able to upgrade to a Superior King. This room was amazing and well worth the upgrade fee. BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU BOOK AS YOU DO NOT GET A SENSE OF JUST HOW SMALL THE CLASSIC KING ROOM IS!
I loved my afternoon tea in the Tea Lounge. It was just what I needed after a long flight and the staff made it magical. Breakfast was great, too.
Location was fabulous and I rode the bus, walked an enjoyed the area. It is a shame that the stay was completely marred by the elevator situation. I walked up and down stairs repeatedly or when I had bags, used a service elevator.

This hotel truly exceeded my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the staff was welcoming and informative, making me feel right at home. The entire property was impeccably clean and had a great sense of style. My room was spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed.
The location was absolutely amazing—perfect for exploring the area with ease. Overall, I had a fantastic stay and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a top-notch experience!

What a treat! The hotel is beautiful and everything about it is luxurious and indulging. The staff was incredible, specially Geanene who took extra care of us and helped us out when we arrived. Our room had all the best amenities and was very comfortable. We loved the little tea/breakfast room, and breakfast is general. The location is great as its right next to victoria station, and also in walking distance of buckingham palace, tower of london, westminster, etc. We would love to stay there again!

I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, and it truly exceeded all expectations. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was welcoming and warm, and the staff was incredibly friendly and professional. Everyone, from the front desk to the housekeeping team, went above and beyond to make sure every guest felt comfortable and well taken care of.
The facilities were top-notch, and the rooms were spotless and beautifully furnished. The attention to detail in every aspect of the service made for an unforgettable stay. What truly stood out, though, was the incredible hospitality. The team’s genuine kindness and dedication to providing an excellent experience made all the difference.
I can’t recommend this hotel enough for anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable stay. The people here truly make it special!

well you couldn’t get a smaller bathroom. The room otherwise was comfy. The breakfast was overpriced and not tasty. I would recommend not including it and wonder around the neighborhood for better options. The service was superb, the concierge and receptionist were all helpful and easily available. The location was beyond excellent. Easy access to all buses trains and the tube. I would stay there again but skip breakfast.

So I have never stayed at the Ruben but every time I visit London, I always stop by for the royal afternoon tea. I look forward to this tea service every single time as someone who works in the hospitality industry,This is the best experience / service that I have ever received while dining. The friendly staff, attention to detail and atmosphere is magnificent. I am also on a plant-based diet and they are extremely accommodating. I love how the vegan food is equivalent to the normal food. 10/10

We had a lovely stay at the Rubens as part of our honeymoon! The staff were soo warm and welcoming. Everyone was checking on our experience and making sure that we didn't need anything. We had the Royal Afternoon Tea, which was so tasty and relaxing. The gentleman managing the tearoom (forgot his name) was so sweet and hospitable. I had a strange request of storing butter (from France) in their fridge, and the team was so accommodating. Super cute and authentic furnishings around the entire hotel. I had so much fun trying to beat Jan to the door every time! He was my favorite person at the hotel.
Our top highlight was 100% the hotel breakfast. SO good. My husband got the pistachio french toast 4 days in a row because it was THAT addictive. I've never been to a hotel so mindful of food allergies/intolerances, etc. I loved that I was able to enjoy the desserts and butter without risking discomfort.

My family and I had the absolute pleasure of staying at Rubens at the Palace for two nights, and from the moment we arrived, we were blown away. This hotel is not just a place to stay—it’s an experience. Every single member of staff made us feel genuinely welcome, valued, and looked after. The level of service was above and beyond anything we’ve experienced elsewhere.
Our rooms were immaculate, elegant, and filled with thoughtful touches that made us feel instantly at home. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the amenities were top-notch, and the view over the Royal Mews was something we’ll never forget.
What truly sets Rubens apart, though, is the attention to detail and the warmth of the hospitality. Every interaction felt personal and sincere. It’s clear that the entire team takes immense pride in what they do, and it shows in every smile, every helpful gesture, and every moment of care.
We dined at the English Grill and had breakfast in the morning—both were absolutely superb. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, and the service was flawless.
We were treated like royalty, and the hotel made our family feel incredibly special. We’ve stayed in many wonderful hotels, but Rubens at the Palace has set a new gold standard. We honestly cannot praise it highly enough. Thank you to the whole team for making our stay unforgettable—we can’t wait to return!

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to each and every member of the Rubens Hotel team for making my stay so incredibly special. From the moment I arrived, everything was remarkable – from the warm welcome at reception, the immaculate housekeeping, the delicious breakfast service, to the wonderful bar staff in the evening.
A special thank you goes to Elliot at the bar, who added such a personal and delightful touch to the evening – you truly made it unforgettable. And of course, Mr. Joe from the concierge – your kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail did not go unnoticed. You both went above and beyond, and I’m so grateful for your care.
It’s rare to experience such genuine hospitality, where you can truly feel the passion and dedication of the entire team. Every detail was taken care of, and I deeply appreciate the effort behind it all.
I absolutely loved staying with you and can’t wait to return as soon as I can. I’m already so excited for my next visit!

Fantastic hotel! Far and away the best service we have ever received in a hotel. We arrived early after a long transatlantic flight. They were able to let us check in early. Every employee we interacted with was kind and helpful. You must visit Elliot at the bar! We went for one drink. He was so engaging that we stayed for several. He was full of helpful tips and funny stories. Book this hotel, you will not regret it.

Outstanding Experience at the Best Thai Restaurant in London!
I had an amazing dining experience at this Thai restaurant near Victoria Station. The food was absolutely delicious, but what truly made the visit exceptional was the warm and genuine service. Bong, a Filipino server, was incredibly friendly, attentive, and truly an asset to the restaurant. His thoughtful care and welcoming attitude made us feel right at home. I also want to commend the manager, Stephanie, for her gracious leadership and excellent acknowledgment of her team.
If you’re in London, especially near Victoria Station, I highly recommend stopping by this branch—you’ll not only enjoy authentic Thai cuisine but also world-class hospitality.

Rosa’s Thai was absolutely fantastic! Every table around me thought so too! I ate the chicken pad Thai, Thai churros and had a ginger cocktail. I was highly satisfied with everything! Bell was very welcoming, accommodating and professional she even gave me a free bubble tea to go. I will be back. Thank you for your service.

As a visitor to the area, finding a delicious meal in a cozy setting with kind people can be a challenge. But this place has become a true gem for me—this is my third visit, and each time has been even better than the last. It feels like having dinner with family—warm, welcoming, and relaxed.
One of the waitresses, Bell, was especially kind, attentive, and helpful, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Whenever I’m in London, this is my go-to spot for dinner. I had the Spicy Thai Basil with the Thai lemonade—an absolutely perfect balance of sweet and spicy. Thank you again for another wonderful meal!

We decided to stay here as it is fairly close to Victoria Station, and fairly close to the Houses of Parliament as well as Buckingham Palace.
The room was nice and clean, clearly amazing cleaning crew. However we got a room on the 1st floor facing a busy road, with ambulances and cars passing frequently. If you enjoy a silent night please make sure you ask for a quiet room, as the ones facing the street on lower levels are quite noisy.
The service is impeccable. The staff is kind, friendly, available and it is indeed a great asset for this hotel. Alejandro was amazing.
I definitely recommend staying here, it is central enough and provides all the services you need when staying in London. We will definitely stay here again next time.

When you go to a hotel, you tend to want good customer care, a well kept room and a decent breakfast. I can’t say I was disappointed with any aspect of those.
Let’s start with check in…
The staff were really pleasant even though I’d arrived much earlier than I should have (I was attending an event at the palace), they allowed me to check in early and informed me of the amenities, check out time, breakfast times etc. (10/10)
The room…
It was a lovely space, as you can see from the pictures, there were only 2 issues I came across, one of the beds had a slight lean on one side and made it feel like you were going to fall out of it (Room 417) and the drain cover in the shower was broken, but it was easy to fix myself and was easily sorted. The novelty of remote controlled curtains kept me entertain for a few minutes. Also given how many channels we have free access to in the UK, I was disappointed with the TV being restricted to certain channels. (8/10)
The breakfast…
Although I was a bit disappointed that they stopped breakfast at 10am (An extra half hour would of been great) the quality of the food was pretty decent, they had a great selection of hot and cold food & drinks. I left feeling very satisfied with it overall. (9/10)

When we first arrived at the hotel, we were immediately greeted by the really friendly staff and even received an upgrade from a normal room to one of the apartments and the apartments were crazy good! You could see the whole skyline of London from your room and it was really big. But i would also give 5 stars if we wouldn’t have received the upgrade because the apartment we stayed in was really clean and they did everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible and it did feel more like a 5 star hotel🌟 Thank you so much and if I will visit London again, I would definitely stay in this hotel again

A very decent hotel for the price offered. A huge plus of the hotel is its location in the center of London within walking distance to the main attractions of the capital and the station. Very tasty breakfasts and friendly staff. Special thanks to the hotel manager Sergio, who very professionally and affably solved our minor problems. The hotel left a very warm impression, we will definitely come back here.

My husband and I were here twice for a work trip and both times we were welcomed so warmly by Karolina! We were immediately recognized by her, which made me very happy as a guest! She does an excellent and professional job!
The rooms are a bit dark, especially for the girls it's a bit difficult to get ready there! But that's just a small hint!
The beds are very comfortable
Thanks for a good experience

The fish and chips were perfectly crispy and flavorful—some of the best I've had in a long time. The beer selection was impressive, and the one I chose paired beautifully with the meal. What really made the visit exceptional was the service. Our waiter, Marius, was phenomenal—attentive, friendly, and made us feel genuinely welcome. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for great food and outstanding service!

Visited here recently and we had a good experience having a nice evening meal. We had a 3 course meal from the pre theatre menu and had ordered the below.
2 People
Starters: Cesar Salad, BBQ chicken salad
Mains: Vegan burger with chips, traditional fish & chips
Desert: Baked vanilla cheese cake, chocolate brownie.
The Cesar salad was very nice and so was the BBQ salad although they forgot to put the crispy bacon, which they did later bring after we informed them.
The vegan burger wasn't great, perhaps it was me who didn't like it, as options were limited in the menu. My wife certainly enjoyed the fish and chips though.
Deserts were nice although we found the cheese cake a little on the tasteless side. Chocolate brownie was nice and could have been nice if it was little more warmer.
Overall it's a very nice place and I'm sure the other menus offer a lot more choices. Drinks menu was very good and lots of cocktails, beers, spirits on the menu.

We went yesterday for a team fish & chip afternoon tea for 10 people. The food and service was fantastic. A big thank you to our waiter. There was so much food and we had plenty to take away. We were there at 2.30 so the place was very quiet and did lack a bit of atmosphere but I’m when it busier it would be buzzy.

Attended yesterday with my mum for the fish and chip afternoon tea. We were very warmly greeted by all staff upon our arrival as they were standing by the bar and taken to our seat. Huge portions of afternoon tea were quickly served within minutes alongside our drinks made to order. Food was amazing and the atmosphere was lovely, nothing too much trouble. Totally worth every penny. Our main waitress was a lovely european lady with red hair, her service was immaculate, she was extremley friendly and attentive but not too much that we couldnt enjoy our time. We were also served by a younger african lady with long hair, she was also faultless and so kind when speaking to us. Both of these ladies are a credit to the team. Apologies for being descriptive about staff members but they didnt have name badges and I wanted to give them a special mention. I overheard a conversation between one of the male staff members, i think the manager? And another table who had a lot of requests+. Both myself and my mother noted how accomodating he was and went above and beyond to give the customers a great experience. We have already recommended to friends and family and look forward to returning! Thankyou for a great time.

Service was great and all staff are customer service oriented. Feel received and welcome as we also have to wait to be seated. Love the signature ordered and price is reasonable.
Want to commend on the integrity and honesty of staff. I dropped my credit card and was picked up by a customer leaving the restaurant. My card was handed over to the staff. Despite the busyness of the staff, they came to approach me to check if I have lost a credit card which I then realised. I am very touched by her effort to look out for me as the card has a Chinese name and she guessed it may be me.

This place had been on my list for some time due to the wonderful reviews. As we were seeing Wicked (conveniently across the street) it was clear that this was my choice for dinner. We were lucky enough to get an early booking. The food was delicious, the wine was delightful and the service was spectacular. Within 30 minutes the restaurant was completely full. We eventually requested to move to a small table at the front of the restaurant to finish our wine and allow our table to be turned over for the next guest. The staff was so kind and accommodating, but surprised, in a good way. 🙃 If you happen to be in the area I highly recommend having lunch or dinner here. In case anyone is wondering, we enjoyed a pizza and a pasta dish.

Excellent little restaurant. We managed to book a table for five, early on a Saturday evening. The place was completely full, but the staff were pleasant and efficient. I had lasagne, and can definitely recommend that. The rest of the party were very happy with their dishes too.

I forgot to take pictures of our plates, but I had one of the best pasta and calamari of my life. The staff were fun and lovely, making the place even more enjoyable. If you're looking for a friendly and relaxed evening with friends, this is a great spot. It can get a bit crowded, so reservations might be a good idea, but the staff are accommodating and might still find you a table. Definitely worth the experience!

A large pub, located near Victoria train station. The interior is quite nicely decorated, in the style characteristic of English pubs. Quite crowded. I didn't stay long, just had a beer. An OK experience, a good place where you can wait for the time to pass while waiting for the train.

Excellent pub, even though it's part of a chain!
The prices are more than reasonable for the quality of the food.
We had breakfast (very generous portions) as well as lunch on another day, and everything was delicious!
Great pub atmosphere and very friendly staff :-)
(A small downside: the toilets... not the dirtiest we encountered during our stay in London, but not the cleanest either… unfortunately, that depends on the customers.)

It's a quick and easy Japanese food option. The broth is hot and easy to eat, and the flavor isn't too strong. However, the deep-fried duck or chicken (I'm not sure which) was a bit too oily for me😅
