Had a really nice stay here! The location for one is amazing; right at Victoria Station (with even an entrance from within the train station which is very cool), you can go anywhere you want from there with the bus/underground/train. The room was also very nice, not too big but just perfect for us, didn’t need much more. The gym was nice as well. Our room was a bit of a walk from the reception, but we were given the option at check-in to get a closer room if we waited a bit so that could’ve been different! Loved our stay here, beautiful lobby as well. Would definitely recommend.

Great hotel. Our flight was cancelled and we chose to stay here. What a delight after the drama of the airport. You walk into a beautiful reception with a grand chandelier. I must mention the amazing front desk person Flor, she gave us a complimentary upgrade to really wonderful rooms. Again I cannot stress enough the free mini bar, we got to the hotel after 10pm and the coke and sparkling water was so much revitalising. It was exactly what we needed. The bathrooms are weird though it’s absolutely tiny and outdated. Doesn’t match the rooms but it’s clean. The breakfast was fine but they need to sort out the pancakes and crumpets. I think they were the frozen type. Rest of breakfast was great.

Easy to get to, lovely welcoming staff. The building was beautiful and the decor 😍 ✨️.. the Soak bar was very aesthetically pleasing, good prices too.
The beds were very comfortable 😌 you also have a choice of pillows!
The mini fridge is stocked with a choice of alcohol and sweets that are free!!
Lovely bathroom with robe and slippers.
Breakfast was complimentary with room. Gluten free toast was offered.
Hand served tea or coffee too.
Lovely stay away, close to lots of restaurants and Victoria station is literally round the corner.
Would definitely stay again!

Our family really enjoyed this hotel for 3days. The location was great and easy to go anywhere, very closed to Wicked theater. And this hotel is related to the Victoria station and in the station, we could reach several restaurants and many convenient stores. The room condition was clean and toilet place was so big. On top of that, staffs everyone working this hotel were super kind and especially Salma at the front desk, she always tried to give her best to work for customers. Because of her kindness, our summer trip in London was special for my family! _ from Korean family with one daughter called Victoria. : )

Room A/C works VERY well (our trip is in July). Bed is super comfortable, shower is nice, room is well designed and has everything you need! Highly recommend staying here.

Service was amazing, all the staff were super friendly and really added to our experience. They all took time to interact with my family and really ask how each of us were doing. I really appreciated this level of attention, warmth and customer service. I can’t thank you enough for your hospitality, I take away great memories because of you!
Finally, to put the cherry on top, what a location, views of Queens Mews from our bedroom and within walking distance to all the high profile attractions.
Loved every second of our stay!

Reuben’s was an absolutely splendid stay. From the moment we checked in, we felt warmly welcomed by all the staff. They were not only kind but also genuinely personable, which made all the difference.
Our room, while small, was charming and beautifully decorated. We experienced a minor issue with the air conditioning, but it was resolved within five minutes by a respectful and efficient staff member.
We stayed for four days and loved how conveniently located the hotel was—just across from Buckingham Palace and within easy walking distance to many iconic monuments and parks.
Breakfast was a delight, with freshly prepared meals rather than a standard buffet, and afternoon tea was spectacular. The variety of pastries, sandwiches, and the curated tea menu made it a truly memorable experience.
We would absolutely stay here again. Thank you for spoiling us on our honeymoon!

Afternoon tea was quite nice but not at the same standard as the great venues of London. We have enjoyed afternoon teas around the world as it’s a hobby but the Rubens doesn’t feature in our Best Of list. The service at the front door was good but the tea was poured before it was steeped, the food was reasonable but didn’t have the finesse of other London hotels, and 89 minutes after we arrived we were politely reminded that our 90 minute reservation was over despite the place being mostly empty. It was all okay but didn’t justify the premium pricing on par with the greats. We left feeling slightly shortchanged.

We stayed at The Rubens for five nights recently, and had a great experience. A wonderful location, exceptional service, and elegant interior. We looked forward to their lovely breakfast each morning, and had a great lunch and dinner at two of their other restaurants. The staff was friendly, professional, and always ready to help. Highly recommend!

We had a fantastic stay at Rubens at the Palace in London. The location is unbeatable—just steps from Buckingham Palace and within easy walking distance to see the Changing of the Guard. Surrounded by excellent restaurants and nestled in a vibrant area, it made exploring the city incredibly convenient.
The hotel itself is full of charm and character, with standout service that truly sets it apart. Special thanks to Pascal, the incredible doorman, who quite literally runs into traffic to hail cabs—his energy and dedication are unmatched!
In the evenings, we loved unwinding at the New York Bar, which features top-notch live entertainment and some of the best bartenders in the city. Whether you're visiting for business or pleasure, Rubens offers a memorable London experience with classic hospitality and flair. Highly recommended!

Our first time in London, went to Rosa for our lunch. Absolutely phenomenal! The ambiance is so cool, such a vibe. The food and drinks were AMAZING! Bong, our waiter— was friendly and attentive. Served great food and smiles! Would highly recommend!!!

Saturday evening I popped in with the guys for a quick dinner with m the stag do. I personally had a Pad Thai, vegetable sharing platter and the boozy Thai iced tea.
The service was astounding, with Tiger being especially helpful. The starters were delicious and the Pad Thai wasn’t the best that I’ve ever had, but was delicious all the same. My mates also had the Massaman curry and pineapple duck curry which they thought was delectable.
I am extremely satisfied and would highly recommend Rosa’s Thai!

As a visitor to the area, finding a delicious meal in a cozy setting with kind people can be a challenge. But this place has become a true gem for me—this is my third visit, and each time has been even better than the last. It feels like having dinner with family—warm, welcoming, and relaxed.
Two of the servers, Bell and Com, are especially kind, attentive, and helpful, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Whenever I’m in London, this is my go-to spot for dinner. I had the Spicy Thai Basil with the Thai lemonade—an absolutely perfect balance of sweet and spicy. Thank you again for another wonderful meal!

We stayed here for three days after a cruise out of Southampton. It was a perfect spot for our family (two adults, two kids; ages 11 and 8). Check-in was very easy, and we were upgraded to a suite, which was incredible after the 4 of us had just spent 10 days in a small cabin on the cruise ship! The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. We opted to pay for the breakfast buffet every morning, and the food was delicious. Hot, tasty, and plenty of options for whatever you're looking for. The location was great. If you are interested in theater, there were several within walking distance. Plenty of nearby restaurants and a short walk to the Victoria tube station, where we picked up our hop-on/hop-off bus. The staff were all very friendly, there was a cute little check-in spot for kids, and they were great for holding our bags when we checked in, but before our room was ready, so that we could go exploring. Definitely recommend!

The rooms are nice and modern, but the floor was dirty.
The only amenity in the bathroom was a single head cover, which felt disappointing for a hotel in this price range.
The checking lady was a bit confused with the details, but nothing too bad.
The location is convenient since it is right next to a corner of Victoria Station.

I stayed here recently with my family and had a fantastic experience. The hotel is just a short walk from Victoria Station, making travel with kids super easy. Our room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable—plenty of space for the whole family.
The staff were friendly and helpful throughout, and the on-site restaurant offered great options even for fussy eaters! We also loved being so close to attractions like Buckingham Palace and Big Ben, all within walking distance.
Highly recommended for families visiting London—comfortable, convenient, and welcoming!

Really convenient hotel for a night in London if you head in by train to Victoria. Easy to access underground and lots of great places nearby for late night drinks and breakfast. Booked for my boyfriends birthday and they were kind enough to arrange for a birthday cake in the room when we checked in. Lovely modern rooms, clean with great views. The bed was absolutely enormous and so so comfy (I like a firm mattress) Check in and check out service was a bit slow.
Must add that the pictures on booking.com really don't do this place justice. I was expecting a relatively cheap bolt hole and was blown away by how lovely and well kept the hotel was.

We were a group of seven — my family of four and our dear friends from the UK — and we visited The Phoenix Pub after a lovely walk from Buckingham Palace. My friend’s husband had done his research and found this pub based on stellar Google reviews, especially for their fish and chips. It was also my first ever pub experience, so my friend was especially excited to share that moment with me.
At first, we picked a cozy corner table downstairs since it was easier to manage with three little ones. But while my friend and husband went to find the restrooms, they discovered a whole upper level with much more open space and even some patio seating. So we moved upstairs and gave the kids their own table while the adults enjoyed a separate one nearby — it gave us all a little breathing room and a chance to relax and chat.
The bartenders were extremely kind and welcoming. We placed our orders at the bar, and everything was brought to our table shortly after. I went up to pay — again — but my generous and clever friend had already told them she was covering it. The bartender smiled and walked over with the card reader to *her* instead of me. This has now become a bit of a theme on this trip — she’s incredibly kind and simply would not let us pay.
For the kids, we ordered three portions of fish and chips. My friend’s husband went for the Sunday roast beef, and my friend and I both got the fish and chips as well. When my friend mentioned her severe shellfish allergy, the bartender was so considerate — he made sure her meal would be prepared in separate oil. She told me later how rare it is to find a place that goes to that level of care, and how much she appreciated being able to enjoy fish and chips without worry.
My husband wasn’t feeling great, so he just had a few bites from my plate. My older daughter, on the other hand, was loving it — she kept coming over and taking bites of fish from mine too, even though she had her own. That’s how good it was.
The roast was hearty and well-enjoyed by my friend’s husband, and the fish and chips were crispy, flavorful, and comforting — everything I imagined a real pub meal would be. But beyond the food, it was the atmosphere and the exceptional service that really stood out.
The Phoenix Pub gave us such a warm, memorable experience. The staff were thoughtful, the food was excellent, and the company made it all even more special. I'm so glad this was my first pub — I’ll remember it fondly.

This was a really great place to pop in for a nice pub lunch.
The Cider Battered Fish and Chips were absolutely perfect. Light and crisp, but also solidly bonded to the fillet that was itself a beautiful piece of fish.
Additionally, while downstairs in the pub there is only counter service, up on the patio the girl took our order at the table and quickly delivered everything.

Cute pub but some confusion on how to order (not just us - others had questions too) because there was no signage. With that said once we figured out we needed to order at the counter the food was good and the staff were all helpful.

The fish and chips were perfectly crispy and flavorful—some of the best I've had in a long time. The beer selection was impressive, and the one I chose paired beautifully with the meal. What really made the visit exceptional was the service. Our waiter, Marius, was phenomenal—attentive, friendly, and made us feel genuinely welcome. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for great food and outstanding service!

Visited here recently and we had a good experience having a nice evening meal. We had a 3 course meal from the pre theatre menu and had ordered the below.
2 People
Starters: Cesar Salad, BBQ chicken salad
Mains: Vegan burger with chips, traditional fish & chips
Desert: Baked vanilla cheese cake, chocolate brownie.
The Cesar salad was very nice and so was the BBQ salad although they forgot to put the crispy bacon, which they did later bring after we informed them.
The vegan burger wasn't great, perhaps it was me who didn't like it, as options were limited in the menu. My wife certainly enjoyed the fish and chips though.
Deserts were nice although we found the cheese cake a little on the tasteless side. Chocolate brownie was nice and could have been nice if it was little more warmer.
Overall it's a very nice place and I'm sure the other menus offer a lot more choices. Drinks menu was very good and lots of cocktails, beers, spirits on the menu.

Really nice and friendly staff. it's a mixture of a sports bar and restaurant that also does afternoon tea. The menu is pretty basic, fish and chips, burgers etc, but well cooked and presented. The prices are very reasonable based on the location. Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for a night out in that part of town without getting ripped off.

Definitely recommend the afternoon tea!

What a find!! I took my husband here for his birthday this afternoon. We had the Fish and chips afternoon tea and it was beautiful. Staff were attentive and explained everything. The food came quickly and all very delicious. From the fish and chips to the variety of cakes and then the scones with jam and clotted cream. There was also a large variety of hot drinks from different teas to coffees and hot chocolate. You could have as many hot drinks as you like. We were full afterwards. Well worth the money. The whole experience was fantastic. Well done Bbar. Our bill was over the price per head because we had 4 cocktails!

I had consumed a meal prior to my visit, which left me craving something different to eat. While I was drinking my soft drink, the heat caused my hands to become slippery, resulting in me dropping my drink. The manager was exceptionally attentive and had the mess cleaned up in mere seconds, leaving no room for me to feel embarrassed, which was quite remarkable. I ordered calamari that was notably fresh, and my daughter relished her spaghetti. We both thoroughly enjoyed our dessert; I was tempted to indulge in two servings, but I decided that would be excessive. I appreciated the service and will certainly return.

Nataniel’s professionalism combined with his friendly, approachable attitude made us feel valued as guests. It’s rare to encounter someone who takes such pride in their work and truly cares about creating a memorable dining experience.

This place had been on my list for some time due to the wonderful reviews. As we were seeing Wicked (conveniently across the street) it was clear that this was my choice for dinner. We were lucky enough to get an early booking. The food was delicious, the wine was delightful and the service was spectacular. Within 30 minutes the restaurant was completely full. We eventually requested to move to a small table at the front of the restaurant to finish our wine and allow our table to be turned over for the next guest. The staff was so kind and accommodating, but surprised, in a good way. 🙃 If you happen to be in the area I highly recommend having lunch or dinner here. In case anyone is wondering, we enjoyed a pizza and a pasta dish.

The place is cozy and the service is fast and effecient. The waiter was kind, welcoming, smiling and helped with suggestions. We had vegeteriana pizza, Tortelloni napoli and calamari fritti and finally Tiramisu. The pizza is really good, tortelloni is above average, calamari and tiramisu were average. Recommended place

We hit Il Posto before going to Hamilton at the Victoria theatre. It was a 2 min walk and a great spot before the show. I thought the food was good with the Pizza being the best and the pasta options being good but not great. The service was excellent and the atmosphere in the restaurant just okay. I would recommend others to go in the area but wouldn’t make a trip for it.

We attended yesterday after Wicked, the staff were amazing, very quick and polite. The other patrons however left a lot to be desired, incredibly loud, and ranting including dropping homophobic slurs, nothing was said by staff, despite multiple tables mentioning it.
Get the Tiramisu. You won't regret it.

We ordered bruschetta and calamari to start. The bruschetta was amazing but the calamari was under cooked. The main part of our dinner included chicken, potatoes, and mushrooms in cream sauce and my dining companion has the lasagna. Both were absolutely delicious.
The Chianti wine was quit nice, as well. Here’s the best part, the owner Francesco, realised that we didn’t eat the Calamari and he TOOK IT OFF THE BILL. Who does that? Highly Recommend a visit! We would come back again!

Had the Yasai Yaki Soba (mushroom noodle dish) – really tasty, would definitely recommend. Also had the large Power smoothie – absolutely worth the extra 50p, so good you’ll finish it fast. Pro tip: ask for the free green tea. Service was friendly, plenty of seats, though it can get busy at lunchtime. Great spot overall.

I came here for a solo lunch before heading to the train station. It’s within walking distance and a good alternative to the restaurants there. Typical Wagamama seating, however, the place lacks a bit of atmosphere. I sat at a table for six near the window, which was quite nice as it can get crowded in the middle of the restaurant. I could see straight into the kitchen, which was okay. They do have an open kitchen as well.
Service was fabulous; I had a really lovely and attentive waitress. The food was really lovely. However, I paid £20 for a beef brisket ramen, which is on the pricier side. All in all, I spent £30 on my lunch, having had two drinks. A simple lunch for quite a lot of money. The flavour was good, but overall, not completely worth it.

We have been to wagamama many times for their delicious food but what really matters for the particular location is the best service that you get. We were served by Dezi and she has been one of trhe most patient servers i have met lately. She was very calm with our dietary requirements and ensured we were treated with utmost care. It is very rare to get Jain customers, as we are vegetarians and do not eat Onion, Garlic, Potatoes, Aubergine, Mushrooms on top of all other restrictions of meat, eggs and fish. With all of this, the server was more than happy to treat us with some good dishes for one of our visitors. Thank you Wagamama for such great servers and team who go out of their way to handle the customers.
