5 Star Rating Absolutely loved my Christmas Eve meal here - thank you to all who made such a lovely effort! The fact that I’d been called a few days before and asked if I would prefer a Christmas dinner rather than a l carte was extraordinary customer service. I truly appreciated the care and can highly recommend the team for their kind gesture and hospitality! What a lovely experience it was for me! The location was easy to find and it was great to take an after lunch walk around the area known as Little Venice.

5 Star Rating A real buzzing atmosphere where people are having great conversations and enjoying the gathering place, exactly what a pub should be. Although we did not eat the food smelled and looked great, I’ll defer to other reviews for the quality but will be back to sample the menu. Dog friendly and all the patrons happy to meet and great. A hidden gem down a back street but worth seeking out.

3 Star Rating Disappointed with the fish and chips. The thing batter was limp, and fish size was on the small side. The fish itself was not bad. The portion of chips was tiny. I'm sorry to say I've had better at Wetherspoons for 1/3 of the price I paid here, with a pint included. Fish and chips with a pint and service is about £30 here. I've grown up eating traditional fish and chips; my parents owned a chippy for twenty years.

2 Star Rating Lovely pub, great atmosphere and very nice server. We ordered the burger, steak, crab linguine and the chicken and leek pie. The burger and steak were fine, crab linguine was completely overpowered by large chunks of chilli. The pie was horrendous. A mini pie dish filled with what looked like cat food with a slab of puff pastry placed on top. The only part I tried was the inside of the pie, it was incredibly bland. Absolutely no redeeming features to this dish. I complained and was told there was nothing they could do about it, that was how it comes, shocking! They refused to take this off the bill and offered only a glass of wine as a sorry. Whilst I very much appreciate the apologies from the server I am very surprised that nothing more was done considering how horrible this meal was. How sad that it was like this as the pub itself is very nice but we will not be returning.

5 Star Rating We had a fantastic dinner on our first night in London at The Summerhouse. From the moment we walked in the door, the staff were so welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very charming, and we really enjoyed sitting by the canals as we enjoyed our meal. We started off with the pan fried scallops which were absolutely delicious. Probably some of the most tasty scallops I've had in a while! For the main course, I went with the stone bass which came in a bouillabaisse soup with some vongole, potatoes and broccolini. The skin was delicious and crispy, and the flavour of the dish was excellent! We also shared some dessert which was also very tasty, my favourite was the pecan pie. This is a wonderful spot to come and sit by the canal and enjoy a lunch or dinner! Would definitely recommend, thank you for the fantastic meal! Well done!

5 Star Rating Where to begin! From the moment we arrived, without a reservation, the staff greeted us warmly, and couldn’t do enough for us! Especially our server André, was very friendly and professional and extremely helpful, answering our questions and adjusting the meals to suit our dietary needs and tastes. The atmosphere was relaxed and jovial, with gentle lighting and beautifully decorated with a riverside theme. My partner ordered the cod and i had the trout. The food was fresh and flawlessly cooked and arrived much sooner than we expected. Honestly that trout may be the best I have ever had! I strongly recommend it as words really don’t do it justice. For dessert we shared a knickerbocker glory and honestly the ice-cream was of such high quality we thought it had been handmade! Throughout the meal we noticed all of the staff working hard to ensure every table was looked after, and it was clear they were very competent and an experienced team. We had a lovely and romantic evening, and my partner who hasn’t really feeling up for going out, spent most of the meal smiling which was thanks solely to the quality of the meal and service we received. When we left, ALL of the staff stopped to thank us for visiting, or said goodbye, or took a moment to give us a smile, it made us feel like regulars, even though it was our first visit. I would give this 10 stars if i could!

5 Star Rating I was looking for a suitable restaurant to bring my girlfriend for a significant birthday celebration in London. Spotted from Sally Wood post on instagram that this was one of her favourite restaurants and decided that if it was good enough for Sally (and Ronnie) then it was definitely good enough for me 😂. We had a very enjoyable pre drink in the sister venue The Waterway. The Summerhouse is a beautiful room with a very interesting and tempting menu. The food was absolutely exceptional. Highly recommended 👍

5 Star Rating We visited as a group of seven (pre-booked) and were impressed by the "upscale pub" atmosphere. The menu manages to elevate British classics without losing the heart of what makes a pub meal great. The Food & Drink: The Fish and Chips was a standout—perfectly crisp batter and fresh fish. For vegetarians, the cauliflower with harissa is a must-try; it’s a bold, modern dish that you don't always expect in a traditional pub setting. However, it is worth noting that the chicken in the Caesar salad was a bit on the dry side, which was the only minor letdown in an otherwise great meal. On the beverage side, the drinks menu is well-curated, offering a wide range of local craft beers on draught and surprisingly sophisticated non-alcoholic options. The Experience: We experienced a significant delay due to a kitchen mix-up, but this is where The Bridge House truly shined. Instead of making excuses, the staff was proactive, offering us complimentary drinks and a discount on the final bill. Their attentive and honest communication turned a potential frustration into a very positive experience. Location Tip: The pub is situated right by the picturesque canals of Little Venice. I highly recommend a post-dinner stroll along the water—it’s the perfect way to end the evening.

5 Star Rating We had a Sunday roast at 7pm, which is amazing as there are not that many pubs that serve roasts that late on a Sunday. We ordered the sharing roast, we have big appetites and this was easily enough food for three people. I also asked for extra gravy, and did they deliver. The service was excellent and there was a really good, buzzing atmosphere. I would recommend.

4 Star Rating My friend and I wandered in on a cool summer night due to the Google Reviews about their brownie with ice-cream. Their patio is lovely, with heaters outside and great view of the canal. Plus there was live music! I was tempted by the gnocchi, with English peas and mushrooms. The sauce was delicious, but the tanginess of the pickled mushrooms clashed with the creaminess - perhaps just a personal preference. My friend’s cocktail was delicious, and the rest of the drinks menu looked good as well. Looked to be a good place to bring a group (peep the pitcher of Pimms…). The brownie was well worth it in every regards. Decadent chocolate, fudgey, salted caramel, with a solid scoop of vanilla bean ice-cream perched on top. The service was a bit slow at the end, with us waiting a few minutes for the bill and having to ask twice. Albeit slow, they were all very kind. Would return again, especially for outdoor seating with a group!

3 Star Rating I recently visited The Waterway in Maida Vale and unfortunately left feeling disappointed with the service. At the start, our waiter was very polite and welcoming, which gave us a great first impression. However, shortly after, his attention shifted to another couple, and we were seemingly forgotten about — despite him walking past our table numerous times on the way to the till. What made this more frustrating was that it was particularly quiet, with only three tables occupied, so there didn’t appear to be any reason for the lack of attentiveness. We asked for the dessert menu as we intended to order, but after being ignored for a while, we decided not to bother. It was frustrating trying to catch someone’s attention and feeling overlooked. I also ordered soup and was surprised that it didn’t come with bread. When I asked for some, they brought a single slice and then charged me for it, which felt unnecessary. It also took about 5–10 minutes to arrive, and we had to ask again as my soup was getting cold by the time the bread finally came. Overall, while the initial welcome was pleasant, the lack of attentiveness — especially on a quiet service with only three tables — and small details like charging for a slice of bread really let the experience down. I hope they improve their service so all tables feel equally valued.

4 Star Rating This was my first visit and overall it was a very positive experience. The location is excellent and the décor is stylish and well thought out, creating a really pleasant atmosphere. Although it was busy during my visit, the staff were clearly well organised, attentive, and appeared genuinely happy and confident in what they were doing, which always makes a big difference. The venue is dog friendly, which many guests will appreciate. However, during my visit there was some persistent barking, which was clearly unpleasant for a few nearby guests and did detract slightly from the otherwise relaxed atmosphere. There is a good range of draught beers available, along with a solid wine list. Unfortunately, there was no Shiraz available at the time, which was a slight disappointment, but there were still plenty of other options to choose from. The food arrived in good time, was served hot, and tasted very good — exactly what you’d hope for. Portion sizes were reasonable and the quality matched expectations given the setting. When it came to paying, I noticed that a compulsory 12.5% service charge had already been added to the bill. I had been intending to leave a 20% tip due to the good service, but as this was already included, I didn’t add anything further. Overall, a great experience in a fantastic location. A well-run venue with good food, a strong atmosphere, and professional staff — I would happily visit again and recommend it to others.

A very picturesque place whether your shopping for your green fingers or want a slow laid back relaxing atmosphere then this is the place for you. If you are a fan of taking picture of flowers and small bit to eat than you will love this place. Reasonable priced, overall a romantic lush greenery setting if you want a quiet area to read a book, or catch up with a friend. The service was good, reasonably priced food, my food which I ordered was edible but my friends food the mushrooms were too salty, toilet facilities very clean. 5 Star Rating 🌿 Five Stars for The Quince Tree Café/Nursery; A Botanical Dream with Culinary Brilliance Stepping into The Quince Tree Café/Nursery feels like entering a secret garden curated by aesthetes and epicureans alike. Nestled within a lush nursery, this London gem offers a dining experience that is as visually enchanting as it is gastronomically refined. From the moment you arrive, you’re enveloped in a serene ambiance, sunlight filtering through glass ceilings, verdant foliage cascading from above, and classical architectural touches that whisper elegance. The setting alone is a masterclass in atmosphere: airy, romantic, and effortlessly chic. The menu is a celebration of seasonal British produce, plated with finesse and served with warmth. Poached eggs arrive like soft clouds atop artisan toast, kissed with microgreens and a drizzle of golden olive oil. Each dish is thoughtfully composed, vibrant, fresh, and indulgent without excess. Even the simplest elements, like heirloom tomatoes or a ramekin of balsamic, are elevated to art. Service is gracious and intuitive, striking the perfect balance between attentiveness and discretion. Whether you’re sipping champagne in the garden or savoring a leisurely brunch beneath the vines, every moment feels curated for delight. The Quince Tree Café/Nursery is more than a meal, it’s a sensory retreat, a love letter to nature and nourishment. A must-visit for those who crave beauty with their breakfast and refinement with their rosé.

3 Star Rating Highly recommend if you’re going for a coffee/cake as the atmosphere is lovely but for food we’ll never go back. It took over an hour for our brunch to get served from when we ordered it - we ordered ciabatta toasties and a salad so it’s not like that takes a long time to make. We felt like we had to chase for when our food would arrive as we were told it would be a 30 minute wait (told after we paid), they also served one of us the wrong item. Food was okay, fair bit overpriced, such a shame as the place is wonderful and we love walking around there, but for food we’ll never come back.

This is is most likely the cabstand that the book’s narrator sleeps in the night before climbing Primrose Hill. Read the chapter ‘Dead London’ online, and marvel at how this little bit of Victorian architecture survived the onslaught of the tripods, heat rays and black smoke. A living monument to how the Great British people endured in the face of Martian belligerence. Thank God for bacteria.

2 Star Rating The food was good... but the service, appalling. The wait staff seemed keener to talk with their friends. I waited 20 mins before my order was taken and had to end up waving frantically at the wait staff to get any attention. The attitude was one where it felt like I was secondary. No water was offered. My plate was not cleared for 30.mins after I had finished my meal. I had to ask for the dessert menu. This behaviour might have been understandable if it was busy, but it was very quiet. If I was the manager I would be very concerned at the overall behaviour. I almost walked out, and members of the table beside me felt the same as we spoke whilst waiting. Unbelievable.

5 Star Rating A Fantastic Dining Experience at Chakra – Highly Recommended! I recently visited Chakra in Little Venice for the first time, and it certainly won’t be my last! From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding—the staff were incredibly accommodating and professional. A special mention to Yuvraj, who was exceptionally kind and helpful, making our experience even more enjoyable. Another standout was Flo, who went above and beyond to serve us the most delightful tea, even though it’s not typically offered in the evening. It was a warm and thoughtful touch that truly made me feel at home. Now, onto the food—simply divine! Every dish was bursting with flavor, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. 2 Star Rating Boil in a bag biryani…. Walked in, the guy seemed completely surprised that I had a booking for 2 at 6:30. He was also somewhat exasperated that we wanted sit outside (even though I had booked for outside). Whilst ordering, he made a comment about only one naan being ordered?!, and then when he brought the food to the table he made the point again about the lack of a naan each… (perplexing). We ordered 6 items between us and 2 cocktails. (Hardly Skimping - came to 92 pound). Bhajis were comparable to something you’d find in a supermarket and as my partner pointed out; the veg they use in their biryani is unmistakably boil in a bag - the kind of multipack freezer bags you get - just thrown in. The Goan curry was boring. All round terrible experience. Bill was brought out and I had to go inside to pay. He was busy on the phone making me wait. Seems they give priority to Ubereats/Deliveroo etc. The fact that the place isn’t bustling on the beautiful Formosa street is the biggest tell. Avoid.

One star less goes to pricing - it’s priced higher than you would expect - easily Dishoom prices for some of the dishes and yet not quite comparable to what you get.

5 Star Rating This charming little restaurant has become one of my favourite spots in London. It’s not only a fantastic place to eat, but also to enjoy a great glass of wine. The wine list is exceptional, and the food is absolutely delicious. A real gem with a lovely atmosphere and great service. I always look forward to coming back.

4 Star Rating Small restaurant exhibiting strong French vibes. Popular amongst locals and the abundance of French customers must speak to the authenticity. The soups are always great (pumpkin and onion) but the highlight (in my view) is the fish. To be very honest, beef menus and desserts don’t reflect their high price. I still go here from time to time to feel French 🥖. One less star for service because last time round it took nearly 40 mins to get the main dish.

5 Star Rating Had the pleasure of dining at this hidden gem! It truly makes you feel transported out of the hustle and bustle of central London into an atmosphere of incredible food, stylish decor, and exceptional service. I can’t express enough how obsessed I was with the interior!! it’s absolutely stunning. Such a perfect spot for a girls’ night out. We were looked after by Luigi, who was incredibly attentive and made sure we enjoyed every moment of our evening.

5 Star Rating The food is first and foremost delicious. Grazed on a plate of duck saucisson and cornichons, while sipping on a kir royale (tho I prefer a bit more cassis) and people watching made for a relaxing afternoon. While it took a while for my main to arrive despite it not being busy, once it did the seared halibut in a fish and saffron stock was delicious 👌an absolute comfort. The leeks and matchstick potatoes in the stock were a nice complement. They have an extensive wine list by the glass, bottle and magnums too. Look forward to returning to try other items on their menu. *they don't take Amex

5 Star Rating Exquisite food! The decor is beautiful providing traditional, cosy/intimate vibes. If you are looking for authentic French cuisine this is the place to visit. 10/10 I will be definitely back again. The French onion soup is a must it was piping hot and had the perfect sweetness and depth of flavour from the Roscoff onions. This hands down is better than the one I had in Paris. The Onglet was so succulent and the sauce was bold and had plenty of flavour. The Crème brûlée not overly rich yet it was super silky and smooth. An absolute delight from start to finish. Thank you to all the team ❤️🙏🏽
