A really great pub near Paddington. Lots of sitting room inside and out nestled in a wonderful setting. They do apparently have a lot of reservations so larger groups are best to call ahead but I went solo with no problems.

Lovely pub, good selection of decent drinks, and a cosy atmosphere. What more could you ask of a proper London pub?! Joyfully close to Paddington Station without being too close to the chaos of the station, it's a wonderful little place to stay a couple hours.

Came across this pub while heading for a boat trip. What a lovely traditional pub with a nice setting in a quiet area. The service and welcome were warm, and the local beer - Made of Ale - was well kept and tasty. The pub had a nice feel to it, and seems to have a community feel. Outdoor seating is available.

Unfortunately the worst roast I've ever had. This was the most dry and grey lamb, so disappointing and with children screaming and running around, trying to climb up our table chairs. I wish the staff had just been able to say something to the parents, but the staff themselves were so lovely. The vegan wellington looked nice, but tasted so bland...and the gravy...that was lumpy beatroot sauce so I don't know how that could be called an alternative to gravy.
Overall so disappointing and unfortunately would never return for this food.

Such a gorgeous pub with friendly staff and delicious food. They have Asahi, Guinness, Amstel, Camden Hells and more on tap - a great range of larger and stouts! My friends and I enjoyed a few drinks here and then decided to stay for dinner - the burgers and steak were both excellent. Definitely recommend.

"A Hidden Gem for a Perfect Birthday Celebration"
We visited today for my birthday, and I’m so glad we found this little hidden gem! This charming fish restaurant offers a diverse menu with something for everyone — from fresh seafood to vegan, vegetarian, and meat options. I chose the catch of the day, which was a beautifully prepared salmon, while my husband had the steak, cooked to perfection. We ended with a delicious brownie for dessert that was rich and indulgent.
The location is simply stunning, right on the canal. If you can, definitely ask for a table by the water — it’s by far the best spot to soak in the atmosphere. The wine was absolutely incredible — easily the best I’ve ever tasted, and it paired wonderfully with our meals.
The overall experience was top-notch, from the intimate atmosphere to the impeccable table service. 10/10 all around! We’ll definitely be back soon.

What a beautiful lunch we had here today! Stunning food that was full of flavour and wonderful service. Truly impressed with the gorgeous setting and attention to detail. The prices are reasonable when you take into consideration the location, service, quality of food and overall experience.

Nice spot in Little Venice. Recommend to book in advance if you want a table by the water.. special dish was amazing. Kids food was not great, wish they did proper fish and seafood for kids menu as well.

Canal dining at its finest!
We had a fantastic dinner at The Summerhouse—pre-booking is definitely essential, as it was already buzzing by 6pm.
We were lucky to get a lovely table right by the water, which really added to the experience.
The atmosphere was vibrant but relaxed, with a great mix of locals and visitors enjoying the evening.
The food was absolutely delicious, the drinks were spot on, and the service was genuinely impressive—friendly, attentive, and professional.
A perfect spot for a warm evening by the canal. Well worth a visit if you’re in Little Venice!

Atmosphere is lovely. Worth going just for a table by the canal, absolutely stunning! The food is tasty but the portions aren't huge, I wasn't that full after 3 courses. The 2 white wines I tried weren't great. I usually don't get dessert as I don't have a sweet tooth but I got the Knickerbocker Glory for old times' sake and it was the best I've ever had! The service was great too, very friendly.

A nice little venue to put in your "places to eat and drink" file. The staff are pleasant and extremely helpful. The food is very nice and served reasonably quickly. It was quiet when we were there, so maybe there would be a little longer waiting at busy times. All in all, everything was extremely enjoyable, definitely one to remember and only a 6 minute walk from Paddington railway station.

Amazing pub. It gives me all the feels. Blends into the surrounds to the point you could almost miss it. But don’t. It’s a joy. Great staff. Great food. An absolute gem.

A cosy pub near Little Venice, lots of food and drink options. Walk throughs are available, and there’s indoor and outdoor seating. Servers and bar staff are very helpful and quick with their service. Had a great experience with a bar staff member named Xhorda! She was very helpful and happy to help me. Definitely recommend if you’re walking nearby and want a quick drink.

Lovely Italian theme restaurant by the side of the canal in little Venice. The Sunday roast was exceptional - the roast pork was a thick slab of meat, but so tender and juicy and a generous yorkshire pudding. The roast beef felt undersized as a comparison but still tasty.

I always thought that this nice restaurant and bar near water will be average with food but I was impressed at my last visit. I ordered the burger and food was delivered to our table in such a short time that I was amazed. And the burger was delicious and medium as I like it. Amazing and price very reasonable including a jug of Pimm’s. Tiramisu was also amazing so highly recommended

Had a late lunch as a group of 4 followed by drinks recently. Found the service to be hugely underwhelming for lunch, had to request water 3 times, including going to the bar to remind them. A very hot day, they provided water glasses then we had to glad someone down to take our order, even long after our wine was poured and our food delivered they hadn't bothered with our water. We weren't overly happy that a 12.5% service charge was added but paid it anyway. We then moved to the garden and asked for a bottle of wine. No sign of this after 20 minutes (it wasn't so busy that they forgot). We stayed till around 9pm ordering drinks via the app and were not impressed that the app automatically adds a service charge so you have to make a point to remove it. Maybe they feel they don't need to work hard to earn tips, one waitress even looked like she was in a bad mood, we were cheerful and thanked her but she didn't crack a smile. He young chap who brought over our last 2 rounds was the most cheerful and friendly but he definitely was not on during the day!
Probably wouldn't return here. The lunch dishes we had were nice enough but nothing special considering the prices. Oh and of the 2 ladies toilets, one had a broken seat and clearly no one was doing regular checks as the broken toilet seat seemed to be overly wet the duration of our visit (6 hours)!

I have to be honest, this wasn’t our first choice as we usually frequent at The Summerhouse just down the canal, but they were fully booked on this particular day; and seeing that they are both part of The First Restaurant Group, if The Summerhouse is anything to go by, we were looking forward to trying this place out.
It is literally 2 minute walk, if that up the road from The Summerhouse and whilst being part of the same group, they have a slightly different vibe and that’s because they have a busy bar with outside seating that overlooks the canal. The atmosphere is quite busy but in a good way, especially for those that enjoy the true London hustle and bustle vibe. There’s outside seating which is popular during the glorious summer evenings.
Service is good, polite and attentive staff, even during a busy peak dinner service. There’s a simple menu with a range of foods that should have something for everyone. Snacks, Sharers, Starters with Mains consisting of salads, pastas and food from the grill like burgers and steaks. There’s a decent drinks menu with cocktails and jugs and a good selection of wines to accompany anything from the menu. We went for the Argentinian Malbec.
My friend and I started with the Antipasti Platter - homemade cannellini bean hummus, aubergine dip, truffle stracciatella, nocellara olives and pitta bread. Following up Seared Tuna Steak served with lettuce, puttanesca sauce and crispy block olives and myself having the Slow cooked Rigatoni Bolognese served with grated Parmesan and basil. Portions were modest but still filling, you can order sides for extra. Desserts were the homemade signature Tiramisu and I had the Salted Caramel Affogato; Vanilla Ice Cream, Salted Caramel and a shot of Espresso.
This place was lively throughout and can be a little noisy and crowded during peak times but don’t let that but you off. It’s a great place for small gatherings wanting a decent bite with drink. Couples, yes, but expect the bar life vibe as opposed to romantic candlelight dining.

Such an amazing place right in little venice. We took the Thames river cruise and then a cab over here and boy was it worth it the food was incredible and so was the service. And it was nice to see something different and off the tourist path.

🌿 5 stars
I visited Clifton Nurseries today with family and friends to pick out some plants for my home — and it turned out to be one of the loveliest starts to the weekend I can remember. The weather was beautiful, the setting was peaceful and full of charm, and we enjoyed absolutely delicious scones with cream and coffee at the café.
It honestly felt like a little slice of heaven right in London. To top it all off, I managed to capture what might be the best photo ever taken of my mum — a memory I’ll treasure.
A truly special place. Highly recommend for a relaxed day out, whether you’re a plant lover or just in search of a calm, uplifting spot.

Lovely serene spot to have a breakfast without feeling you are in the middle of a big city. Smashed Avocado on toast with poached egg served with chili jam was delicious. Flat White also good.

As most have already said this is a beautiful little oasis in the middle of a built up area. Marketing well thought through. The plant area is stunning and picturesque. The cafe is pretty and inviting. The staff were friendly and reasonably efficient. I for one don’t mind paying good money for food but the prices are too high. The smoked salmon bagel @ £13.50 was average. And then another £4.50 for a tiny accompanying salad (mainly leaves) was quite frankly taking the mickey! Nice place but won’t rush back. Sorry

Hidden beauty in the neighborhood. We haven't been here for brunch or lunch yet, but there is a very pleasant seating area in a magnificent nursery. We sometimes come here to sip our coffee. We intend to come for brunch as soon as possible. The atmosphere is great. You can also buy some kinds of accessories and plants for your garden. There are truly very beautiful pieces.

Clifton Nurseries Cafe is an absolute hidden gem in the heart of the city! Tucked away within the beautiful surroundings of the Clifton Nurseries, this cafe feels like a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle. It has a charming and cozy atmosphere, perfect for relaxing with friends or even spending some quiet time on your own. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by incredibly friendly staff who go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The service is always warm and attentive, which really enhances the overall experience.
The menu offers a great selection of delicious food, whether you're after a light snack or a more substantial meal. Everything I’ve tried has been fresh and tasty, with lovely flavors that really hit the spot. Their coffee is also fantastic—rich, smooth, and expertly brewed. It’s the perfect pick-me-up, whether you’re starting your day or just taking a break in the afternoon.
Another plus is that they offer free Wi-Fi, which makes it a great spot for getting some work done, catching up on emails, or simply enjoying a leisurely morning with a coffee and your laptop. The setting is serene and inspiring, which makes it easy to get lost in the peaceful ambiance.
If you’re in London and looking for a tranquil hideaway with great food, excellent coffee, and wonderful service, Clifton Nurseries Cafe is an absolute must-visit. Highly recommend spending some time here—you won’t be disappointed!

Hidden away in Maida Vale, this Persian restaurant was very homey and had some hearty food. It's a bit expensive for what it is but it comes with plenty of sides, and the apricot chicken was incredible. Spent £73 for two including only one glass of wine, so not a cheap eat.

Kateh, a tiny Persian restaurant located in a residential street. It has earned a Michelin’s Bib Gourmand.
The food was unispiring and simply bland.
And they don’t have Doogh!

One of my best experiences in London. For me was one of my favourite combinations, the fresh herbs are really fresh, and all the sophistication that Iranian food brings was spectacular. The restaurant is very well located and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The place has a cozy vibe, intimate and I just missed some colours on their decor. The food was divine, specially prepared and one of the best experiences I had, we didn’t feel heavy after had different meals, proving how good they are. Highly recommend for people that likes Iranian food, or people curious about their cuisine.

Absolutely delicious! The food was incredibly clean, fresh, and full of flavour, with generous portions. I was really impressed that it’s mostly organic, you can taste the quality. The chef was thoughtful and accommodating with my allergies, which made the experience even better. Service was friendly and efficient. About as vintage London as it gets with a mix of awesome food. Came here after seeing this on Anthony Bourdain's Layover and didn't realize that these shelters have so much history.
Ordered an egg breakfast sandwich with bacon and had a cup of tea on the side.
Fresh, delicious, affordable and the near walk to the canals to enjoy my meal was priceless.

For those of you wanting to tour London using HG Wells’ The War of the Worlds as your guide— and who wouldn’t? This is is most likely the cabstand that the book’s narrator sleeps in the night before climbing Primrose Hill. Read the chapter ‘Dead London’ online, and marvel at how this little bit of Victorian architecture survived the onslaught of the tripods, heat rays and black smoke. A living monument to how the Great British people endured in the face of Martian belligerence. Thank God for bacteria.

We were very much looking forward to the advertised Persian afternoon tea that we saw on Groupon and the venue certainly did not disappoint.
The decor was beautiful - gorgeous comfortable chairs and lovely crockery. The ambience was very nice indeed. There was music playing and it was a pleasant atmosphere.
The tea was very hot which is great. Too often tea is served too cold with an afternoon tea.
The service was good - the staff friendly .
The only real let down was the food sadly.
The scones were cold and hard which is a shame although the jam and cream were good quality.
The sandwiches were dry - they had obviously been put out early but we were running late - and so the bread wasn’t pleasant. I wish they hadn’t been out in the plate until we got there . Also the fillings were unimaginative and sparse.
The small cakes were pleasant enough although they were also drying out.
There was nothing particularly Persian about the tea sadly. Apart from Persian tea offered as a tea choice.
So a bit of a mixed bag but a nice enough jaunt. I’d rather have eaten from the menu which did look nice

Jananeh Restaurant is super cozy and my absolute favorite for home-style Fesenjan – I come 3–4 times a month just for it! The only tiny thing is it could have a bit more chicken, but honestly, it’s perfect. Sasha is amazing, super friendly, and makes you feel at home.
I also ones tried Koubide and it wasn’t my favourite

We visited on a Sunday afternoon at 5:30 p.m., and the restaurant was very quiet — we were the only customers there. Despite this, the service was surprisingly slow. The sole waitress on duty seemed indifferent; she wasn't friendly and didn’t make us feel welcome or helped explain the menu in any way.
My bottle of Sprite was given to me unopened so I had to ask for her to open it, which she did begrudgingly with a bottle opener.
We had to ask for napkins as there were none at the table, the waitress came again and gave us one piece of napkin each.
When our food arrived, we found a hair in it. The waitress took the dish away after briefly looking at it but offered no real apology. She later returned and simply asked if we wanted another salad, with no gesture of goodwill or offer of a discount.
Overall, it was a disappointing and underwhelming experience.

The food was good... but the service, appalling. The wait staff seemed keener to talk with their friends. I waited 20 mins before my order was taken and had to end up waving frantically at the wait staff to get any attention. The attitude was one where it felt like I was secondary. No water was offered. My plate was not cleared for 30.mins after I had finished my meal. I had to ask for the dessert menu. This behaviour might have been understandable if it was busy, but it was very quiet. If I was the manager I would be very concerned at the overall behaviour. I almost walked out, and members of the table beside me felt the same as we spoke whilst waiting. Unbelievable.
