5 Star Rating Absolutely loved my Christmas Eve meal here - thank you to all who made such a lovely effort! The fact that I’d been called a few days before and asked if I would prefer a Christmas dinner rather than a l carte was extraordinary customer service. I truly appreciated the care and can highly recommend the team for their kind gesture and hospitality! What a lovely experience it was for me! The location was easy to find and it was great to take an after lunch walk around the area known as Little Venice.

2 Star Rating Lovely pub, great atmosphere and very nice server. We ordered the burger, steak, crab linguine and the chicken and leek pie. The burger and steak were fine, crab linguine was completely overpowered by large chunks of chilli. The pie was horrendous. A mini pie dish filled with what looked like cat food with a slab of puff pastry placed on top. The only part I tried was the inside of the pie, it was incredibly bland. Absolutely no redeeming features to this dish. I complained and was told there was nothing they could do about it, that was how it comes, shocking! They refused to take this off the bill and offered only a glass of wine as a sorry. Whilst I very much appreciate the apologies from the server I am very surprised that nothing more was done considering how horrible this meal was. How sad that it was like this as the pub itself is very nice but we will not be returning.

5 Star Rating "A Hidden Gem for a Perfect Birthday Celebration" We visited today for my birthday, and I’m so glad we found this little hidden gem! This charming fish restaurant offers a diverse menu with something for everyone — from fresh seafood to vegan, vegetarian, and meat options. I chose the catch of the day, which was a beautifully prepared salmon, while my husband had the steak, cooked to perfection. We ended with a delicious brownie for dessert that was rich and indulgent. The location is simply stunning, right on the canal. If you can, definitely ask for a table by the water — it’s by far the best spot to soak in the atmosphere. The wine was absolutely incredible — easily the best I’ve ever tasted, and it paired wonderfully with our meals. The overall experience was top-notch, from the intimate atmosphere to the impeccable table service. 10/10 all around! We’ll definitely be back soon.

5 Star Rating This was our 4th time here, we love coming for lunch or brunch. Food is always great, but service was especially so today! I’m used to valentines meals feeling rushed and an after thought and today was anything but that! Andres was absolutely fantastic, wonderful suggestions and service for our whole meal. Can’t wait to dine in his section again.

3 Star Rating I couldn’t fault the service at The Summerhouse, the staff were excellent throughout. The setting along the canal is lovely and makes for a pleasant atmosphere. The food, however, was fairly average overall. The clam chowder starter was the highlight of the meal, but nothing else particularly stood out. A nice spot for the location and service, but the cooking didn’t quite match the setting.

5 Star Rating I adore this beautiful restaurant by the canal. The atmosphere has a blend of calm elegance, the decor is very fresh and uplifting with seasonal highlights, this truly is a hidden canal gem. Whatever the season you will feel comfortable, a very warm and cozy ambience in the winter months and gorgeous dappled light overlooking the canal in the summer months! You must book to guarantee a canal side table on their busier days. The menu has a very balanced selection, I very much enjoy the more delicate, sophisticated palate, the food is always served fresh and piping hot, with good portion sizes. A lovely family friendly atmosphere where staff really make you feel very welcome with their impeccable service, Andre is especially attentive, and very helpful in selecting dishes. The speed of service is welcomed too. This is by far my favourite restaurant 🏆

5 Star Rating Just enjoyed a very tasty vegetarian nut roast meal. Huge portion with homemade nut roast, large Yorkshire with a sauce pot of onion gravy. So many roast potatoes and piles of veg. Couldn’t finish it all. Staff were lovely and the discarded banana peel mai tai is my new favourite cocktail. Thank you. It was a bonus that we could walk from our boat.

5 Star Rating A nice little venue to put in your "places to eat and drink" file. The staff are pleasant and extremely helpful. The food is very nice and served reasonably quickly. It was quiet when we were there, so maybe there would be a little longer waiting at busy times. All in all, everything was extremely enjoyable, definitely one to remember and only a 6 minute walk from Paddington railway station.

5 Star Rating Had a lovely meal with the family, six people in total. Really well laid out tables, never felt crowded and atmosphere was warm and friendly. The menu had something for everyone, even our little one who finished her child portion steak and chips which she loved! Vegetarian options were lovely and the burgers are phenomenal and everyone was very happy with the quality of food. Special mention to our waitress Rebecca who was very helpful even when I was customising my burger. Food came out fresh and in a timely manner and the desert finished the meal off perfectly. Will definitely be going back!

4 Star Rating This was my first visit and overall it was a very positive experience. The location is excellent and the décor is stylish and well thought out, creating a really pleasant atmosphere. Although it was busy during my visit, the staff were clearly well organised, attentive, and appeared genuinely happy and confident in what they were doing, which always makes a big difference. The venue is dog friendly, which many guests will appreciate. However, during my visit there was some persistent barking, which was clearly unpleasant for a few nearby guests and did detract slightly from the otherwise relaxed atmosphere. There is a good range of draught beers available, along with a solid wine list. Unfortunately, there was no Shiraz available at the time, which was a slight disappointment, but there were still plenty of other options to choose from. The food arrived in good time, was served hot, and tasted very good — exactly what you’d hope for. Portion sizes were reasonable and the quality matched expectations given the setting. When it came to paying, I noticed that a compulsory 12.5% service charge had already been added to the bill. I had been intending to leave a 20% tip due to the good service, but as this was already included, I didn’t add anything further. Overall, a great experience in a fantastic location. A well-run venue with good food, a strong atmosphere, and professional staff — I would happily visit again and recommend it to others.

3 Star Rating I recently visited The Waterway in Maida Vale and unfortunately left feeling disappointed with the service. At the start, our waiter was very polite and welcoming, which gave us a great first impression. However, shortly after, his attention shifted to another couple, and we were seemingly forgotten about — despite him walking past our table numerous times on the way to the till. What made this more frustrating was that it was particularly quiet, with only three tables occupied, so there didn’t appear to be any reason for the lack of attentiveness. We asked for the dessert menu as we intended to order, but after being ignored for a while, we decided not to bother. It was frustrating trying to catch someone’s attention and feeling overlooked. I also ordered soup and was surprised that it didn’t come with bread. When I asked for some, they brought a single slice and then charged me for it, which felt unnecessary. It also took about 5–10 minutes to arrive, and we had to ask again as my soup was getting cold by the time the bread finally came. Overall, while the initial welcome was pleasant, the lack of attentiveness — especially on a quiet service with only three tables — and small details like charging for a slice of bread really let the experience down. I hope they improve their service so all tables feel equally valued.

4 Star Rating Great pub and service is very friendly. Menu is decent too. Dissapointed that there aren’t any bar snacks but have to settle for side orders. If you allow people to sit just for drinks, then should offer some snacks to those that don’t want a full meal. It would work out good for both customers and the pub in terms of generating extra sales and keeping people happy. Overall a good night as always.

3 Star Rating Had a late lunch as a group of 4 followed by drinks recently. Found the service to be hugely underwhelming for lunch, had to request water 3 times, including going to the bar to remind them. A very hot day, they provided water glasses then we had to glad someone down to take our order, even long after our wine was poured and our food delivered they hadn't bothered with our water. We weren't overly happy that a 12.5% service charge was added but paid it anyway. We then moved to the garden and asked for a bottle of wine. No sign of this after 20 minutes (it wasn't so busy that they forgot). We stayed till around 9pm ordering drinks via the app and were not impressed that the app automatically adds a service charge so you have to make a point to remove it. Maybe they feel they don't need to work hard to earn tips, one waitress even looked like she was in a bad mood, we were cheerful and thanked her but she didn't crack a smile. He young chap who brought over our last 2 rounds was the most cheerful and friendly but he definitely was not on during the day! Probably wouldn't return here. The lunch dishes we had were nice enough but nothing special considering the prices. Oh and of the 2 ladies toilets, one had a broken seat and clearly no one was doing regular checks as the broken toilet seat seemed to be overly wet the duration of our visit (6 hours)!

5 Star Rating 🌿 Five Stars for The Quince Tree Café/Nursery; A Botanical Dream with Culinary Brilliance Stepping into The Quince Tree Café/Nursery feels like entering a secret garden curated by aesthetes and epicureans alike. Nestled within a lush nursery, this London gem offers a dining experience that is as visually enchanting as it is gastronomically refined. From the moment you arrive, you’re enveloped in a serene ambiance, sunlight filtering through glass ceilings, verdant foliage cascading from above, and classical architectural touches that whisper elegance. The setting alone is a masterclass in atmosphere: airy, romantic, and effortlessly chic. The menu is a celebration of seasonal British produce, plated with finesse and served with warmth. Poached eggs arrive like soft clouds atop artisan toast, kissed with microgreens and a drizzle of golden olive oil. Each dish is thoughtfully composed, vibrant, fresh, and indulgent without excess. Even the simplest elements, like heirloom tomatoes or a ramekin of balsamic, are elevated to art. Service is gracious and intuitive, striking the perfect balance between attentiveness and discretion. Whether you’re sipping champagne in the garden or savoring a leisurely brunch beneath the vines, every moment feels curated for delight. The Quince Tree Café/Nursery is more than a meal, it’s a sensory retreat, a love letter to nature and nourishment. A must-visit for those who crave beauty with their breakfast and refinement with their rosé.

3 Star Rating Highly recommend if you’re going for a coffee/cake as the atmosphere is lovely but for food we’ll never go back. It took over an hour for our brunch to get served from when we ordered it - we ordered ciabatta toasties and a salad so it’s not like that takes a long time to make. We felt like we had to chase for when our food would arrive as we were told it would be a 30 minute wait (told after we paid), they also served one of us the wrong item. Food was okay, fair bit overpriced, such a shame as the place is wonderful and we love walking around there, but for food we’ll never come back.

5 Star Rating Clifton Nurseries Cafe is an absolute hidden gem in the heart of the city! Tucked away within the beautiful surroundings of the Clifton Nurseries, this cafe feels like a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle. It has a charming and cozy atmosphere, perfect for relaxing with friends or even spending some quiet time on your own. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by incredibly friendly staff who go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The service is always warm and attentive, which really enhances the overall experience. The menu offers a great selection of delicious food, whether you're after a light snack or a more substantial meal. Everything I’ve tried has been fresh and tasty, with lovely flavors that really hit the spot. Their coffee is also fantastic—rich, smooth, and expertly brewed. It’s the perfect pick-me-up, whether you’re starting your day or just taking a break in the afternoon. Another plus is that they offer free Wi-Fi, which makes it a great spot for getting some work done, catching up on emails, or simply enjoying a leisurely morning with a coffee and your laptop. The setting is serene and inspiring, which makes it easy to get lost in the peaceful ambiance. If you’re in London and looking for a tranquil hideaway with great food, excellent coffee, and wonderful service, Clifton Nurseries Cafe is an absolute must-visit. Highly recommend spending some time here—you won’t be disappointed!

3 Star Rating Hidden gem! The place is great and the atmosphere is wonderful. We ordered the avocado smash, one with poached egg and one with feta cheese. The food was good, although both drinks were served cold. The staff were nice, but unfortunately, the feta cheese dish had a hair in the toast. When I addressed this with the waiter, she just apologised and took the plate away with no further action. I then spoke to another waitress who got us a new dish, but overall, they were not professional in handling the situation.

3 Star Rating We were very much looking forward to the advertised Persian afternoon tea that we saw on Groupon and the venue certainly did not disappoint. The decor was beautiful - gorgeous comfortable chairs and lovely crockery. The ambience was very nice indeed. There was music playing and it was a pleasant atmosphere. The tea was very hot which is great. Too often tea is served too cold with an afternoon tea. The service was good - the staff friendly . The only real let down was the food sadly. The scones were cold and hard which is a shame although the jam and cream were good quality. The sandwiches were dry - they had obviously been put out early but we were running late - and so the bread wasn’t pleasant. I wish they hadn’t been out in the plate until we got there . Also the fillings were unimaginative and sparse. The small cakes were pleasant enough although they were also drying out. There was nothing particularly Persian about the tea sadly. Apart from Persian tea offered as a tea choice. So a bit of a mixed bag but a nice enough jaunt. I’d rather have eaten from the menu which did look nice

2 Star Rating The food was good... but the service, appalling. The wait staff seemed keener to talk with their friends. I waited 20 mins before my order was taken and had to end up waving frantically at the wait staff to get any attention. The attitude was one where it felt like I was secondary. No water was offered. My plate was not cleared for 30.mins after I had finished my meal. I had to ask for the dessert menu. This behaviour might have been understandable if it was busy, but it was very quiet. If I was the manager I would be very concerned at the overall behaviour. I almost walked out, and members of the table beside me felt the same as we spoke whilst waiting. Unbelievable.

5 Star Rating A Fantastic Dining Experience at Chakra – Highly Recommended! I recently visited Chakra in Little Venice for the first time, and it certainly won’t be my last! From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding—the staff were incredibly accommodating and professional. A special mention to Yuvraj, who was exceptionally kind and helpful, making our experience even more enjoyable. Another standout was Flo, who went above and beyond to serve us the most delightful tea, even though it’s not typically offered in the evening. It was a warm and thoughtful touch that truly made me feel at home. Now, onto the food—simply divine! Every dish was bursting with flavor, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. The restaurant itself has a wonderful ambiance, making for an unforgettable fine dining experience. If you’re looking for authentic, high-quality Indian cuisine in a fantastic setting, I highly recommend Chakra. I can’t wait to return!
