We came really early on a Sunday, nice selection of non-alcoholic beers! Ordered the roast pork, chicken and a cauliflower cheese, which were all delicious and with plenty of gravy in the little jug. Victoria and Imogen ensured everything was perfect.

Disappointed with the fish and chips. The thing batter was limp, and fish size was on the small side. The fish itself was not bad. The portion of chips was tiny. I'm sorry to say I've had better at Wetherspoons for 1/3 of the price I paid here, with a pint included. Fish and chips with a pint and service is about £30 here. I've grown up eating traditional fish and chips; my parents owned a chippy for twenty years.

Spent a lazy afternoon here enjoying the atmosphere and the relaxed welcoming vibe. Beautiful old pub kept up to date without losing its character. Seems very popular with the locals. Even though it’s a very exclusive part of London, it seems to have a very real and honest feel to it. Highly recommend a walk along the canal from Paddington to this great spot.

A real buzzing atmosphere where people are having great conversations and enjoying the gathering place, exactly what a pub should be. Although we did not eat the food smelled and looked great, I’ll defer to other reviews for the quality but will be back to sample the menu. Dog friendly and all the patrons happy to meet and great. A hidden gem down a back street but worth seeking out.

As locals to Warwick Castle in Warwick, stopping here for an afternoon beer was fantastic as outside feels just like Warwick. Lovely to see London can come close to fabulous places like Warwick. Reasonable prices and great real pub feel

Working in London today and fancied some seafood. What a fabulous selection we made! I had the blackened halibut and my husband had the curried hake... Both amazing. And not only was the staff lovely and attentive... You could not help but notice how hard they worked... And as a team... To make everything run so smoothly! We will definitely be back and highly recommend! And I love that the sink in the ladies was a giant flower pot.

We looked up the best places near Paddington and this gem in Little Venice popped up. It was on the far edge of our search but looked so nice and we’d never seen the area so we took a chance. No reservation but they managed to fit us right in as it was just we two. Our starters were exceptional, I’ve had thousands of scallops and none were better prepared than these. And the cheese soufflé was so good we couldn’t shut up about it. So lush it shouldn’t have been able to stand up. Amazing. Magda is so much fun and the gentleman working with her as well - forgot his name I’m gutted. Got us through a minor mishap with our mains and made it up with a complimentary cheese soufflé for our pudding - yes you heard right, the soufflé was so good we had another one for dessert. She had the cod and I had the lamb, both very well prepared and though her seasoning wasn’t excellent the cook on it was. My ratatouille was very well done and the rump prepared beautifully. The decor and views of the river were just lovely. All in all super happy we took the chance and went over there, very lovely area and was the perfect end to our last day in London. Cheers!!

My mom and I visited this restaurant on our trip to London (30 y.o. Female and 60 y.o. Female from NJ, USA) It was the best meal we had in London! Very cute area. Easy to travel to. Great food, drinks, and service. Highly recommend! Loved watching the boats pass by while eating and drinking top tier fare. The chicken and cod were 10/10

Had a lovely dinner at The Summerhouse. The sirloin steak was absolutely amazing and cooked perfectly. A special thank you to our server, Cornelio, who was so welcoming and attentive throughout the evening. The ambiance was really enjoyable too, which made the whole experience even better. Would definitely come back again!

Went for a birthday celebrations. The staff were all very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The food was delicious and tasty and there was plenty of choice on the menu. There was a separate Burger Menu, an set Evening Menu (which two of us had - three choices £26.00 two choices £23.00 and a glass of wine £8.00) very good value.

A very good classic English Pub serving a great range of beers, wines and cocktails and very delicious food.The Steak sandwich, despite being rather small is phenomenal. Rebecca and Jai at the bar and Olga on the floor ensure you're taken good care of, wonderful service. Highly recommended!

We visited as a group of seven (pre-booked) and were impressed by the "upscale pub" atmosphere. The menu manages to elevate British classics without losing the heart of what makes a pub meal great. The Food & Drink: The Fish and Chips was a standout—perfectly crisp batter and fresh fish. For vegetarians, the cauliflower with harissa is a must-try; it’s a bold, modern dish that you don't always expect in a traditional pub setting. However, it is worth noting that the chicken in the Caesar salad was a bit on the dry side, which was the only minor letdown in an otherwise great meal. On the beverage side, the drinks menu is well-curated, offering a wide range of local craft beers on draught and surprisingly sophisticated non-alcoholic options. The Experience: We experienced a significant delay due to a kitchen mix-up, but this is where The Bridge House truly shined. Instead of making excuses, the staff was proactive, offering us complimentary drinks and a discount on the final bill. Their attentive and honest communication turned a potential frustration into a very positive experience. Location Tip: The pub is situated right by the picturesque canals of Little Venice. I highly recommend a post-dinner stroll along the water—it’s the perfect way to end the evening.

We had a Sunday roast at 7pm, which is amazing as there are not that many pubs that serve roasts that late on a Sunday. We ordered the sharing roast, we have big appetites and this was easily enough food for three people. I also asked for extra gravy, and did they deliver. The service was excellent and there was a really good, buzzing atmosphere. I would recommend.

My friend and I wandered in on a cool summer night due to the Google Reviews about their brownie with ice-cream. Their patio is lovely, with heaters outside and great view of the canal. Plus there was live music! I was tempted by the gnocchi, with English peas and mushrooms. The sauce was delicious, but the tanginess of the pickled mushrooms clashed with the creaminess - perhaps just a personal preference. My friend’s cocktail was delicious, and the rest of the drinks menu looked good as well. Looked to be a good place to bring a group (peep the pitcher of Pimms…). The brownie was well worth it in every regards. Decadent chocolate, fudgey, salted caramel, with a solid scoop of vanilla bean ice-cream perched on top. The service was a bit slow at the end, with us waiting a few minutes for the bill and having to ask twice. Albeit slow, they were all very kind. Would return again, especially for outdoor seating with a group!

We arrived on a busy Friday summer’s evening with no booking. The maitre d couldn’t have been more accommodating and after a couple of drinks at the bar he found us a table. The food was great (shoutout for the corn and bean humous starters) and our waitress, Shwetha, was an absolute Superstar and made sure we left with smiles on our faces. Whoever does the recruitment here knows their stuff. Outstanding staff.

I recently visited The Waterway in Maida Vale and unfortunately left feeling disappointed with the service. At the start, our waiter was very polite and welcoming, which gave us a great first impression. However, shortly after, his attention shifted to another couple, and we were seemingly forgotten about — despite him walking past our table numerous times on the way to the till. What made this more frustrating was that it was particularly quiet, with only three tables occupied, so there didn’t appear to be any reason for the lack of attentiveness. We asked for the dessert menu as we intended to order, but after being ignored for a while, we decided not to bother. It was frustrating trying to catch someone’s attention and feeling overlooked. I also ordered soup and was surprised that it didn’t come with bread. When I asked for some, they brought a single slice and then charged me for it, which felt unnecessary. It also took about 5–10 minutes to arrive, and we had to ask again as my soup was getting cold by the time the bread finally came. Overall, while the initial welcome was pleasant, the lack of attentiveness — especially on a quiet service with only three tables — and small details like charging for a slice of bread really let the experience down. I hope they improve their service so all tables feel equally valued.

The Waterway in Little Venice was perfect. The staff were kind, attentive and really went out of their way to check we were happy with our seating, food and the relaxed atmosphere was perfect for a lazy, sunny afternoon. Food was delicious and reasonably priced! Highly recommend!

Had a lovely experience at Waterway London! The salmon was absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked and full of flavor. A special thank you to Maria at the front of house, who went above and beyond to help us get a table despite it being busy. She was so warm, welcoming, and accommodating, and her excellent service really made our visit even more enjoyable. Great food, fantastic atmosphere with great views, and outstanding customer service. We’ll definitely be back!

About as vintage London as it gets with a mix of awesome food. Came here after seeing this on Anthony Bourdain's Layover and didn't realize that these shelters have so much history. Ordered an egg breakfast sandwich with bacon and had a cup of tea on the side. Fresh, delicious, affordable and the near walk to the canals to enjoy my meal was priceless.

For those of you wanting to tour London using HG Wells’ The War of the Worlds as your guide— and who wouldn’t? This is is most likely the cabstand that the book’s narrator sleeps in the night before climbing Primrose Hill. Read the chapter ‘Dead London’ online, and marvel at how this little bit of Victorian architecture survived the onslaught of the tripods, heat rays and black smoke. A living monument to how the Great British people endured in the face of Martian belligerence. Thank God for bacteria.

We were very much looking forward to the advertised Persian afternoon tea that we saw on Groupon and the venue certainly did not disappoint. The decor was beautiful - gorgeous comfortable chairs and lovely crockery. The ambience was very nice indeed. There was music playing and it was a pleasant atmosphere. The tea was very hot which is great. Too often tea is served too cold with an afternoon tea. The service was good - the staff friendly . The only real let down was the food sadly. The scones were cold and hard which is a shame although the jam and cream were good quality. The sandwiches were dry - they had obviously been put out early but we were running late - and so the bread wasn’t pleasant. I wish they hadn’t been out in the plate until we got there . Also the fillings were unimaginative and sparse. The small cakes were pleasant enough although they were also drying out. There was nothing particularly Persian about the tea sadly. Apart from Persian tea offered as a tea choice. So a bit of a mixed bag but a nice enough jaunt. I’d rather have eaten from the menu which did look nice

Jananeh Restaurant is super cozy and my absolute favorite for home-style Fesenjan – I come 3–4 times a month just for it! The only tiny thing is it could have a bit more chicken, but honestly, it’s perfect. Sasha is amazing, super friendly, and makes you feel at home. I also ones tried Koubide and it wasn’t my favourite

We visited on a Sunday afternoon at 5:30 p.m., and the restaurant was very quiet — we were the only customers there. Despite this, the service was surprisingly slow. The sole waitress on duty seemed indifferent; she wasn't friendly and didn’t make us feel welcome or helped explain the menu in any way. My bottle of Sprite was given to me unopened so I had to ask for her to open it, which she did begrudgingly with a bottle opener. We had to ask for napkins as there were none at the table, the waitress came again and gave us one piece of napkin each. When our food arrived, we found a hair in it. The waitress took the dish away after briefly looking at it but offered no real apology. She later returned and simply asked if we wanted another salad, with no gesture of goodwill or offer of a discount. Overall, it was a disappointing and underwhelming experience.
