Just do your research and read the reviews—that’s how I found this hotel, and it was a great choice. I received a very warm welcome when I entered the lobby. I also like that they offer incentives for helping keep the hotel eco-friendly. Plus, it’s within walking distance of many great sights. Would definitely recommend.

I had a great stay here recently!
The studio room was spacious, cozy, and offered a beautiful view of the city skyline. Breakfast was delicious, and the hotel’s location is excellent—close to major attractions.
The staff were warm and attentive.
Special thanks to Parth, who welcomed us warmly and assisted with a smooth check-in and an equally smooth check-out.
Highly recommended!

The best steak house in London. The staff is a gem 10/10, super friendly, polite and very welcoming. The jazz nights ooh my dear the best I’ve had so far. And I can’t stop thinking about the quality of drinks such amazing cocktails.

We went for a dinner to The Archduke with 7 people. The staff was okay-friendly but not very welcoming, just okay. The atmosphere is very nice, there is a huge glass wall upstairs where we had our table. As per feedback from my colleagues the food was great, I think just me was a bit unhappy with the chicken in my Cesar salad. The chicken was cold, dry and I could barely cut it. I ordered mushrooms on the side and a soup which were amazing. Also the espresso martini in the end was very delicious.

I have been going to the archduke for more than 20 years. I love the live music and the staff are quite friendly and flexible. We celebrated my daughters 19th birthday. The band sang happy birthday. The cocktails were really tasty. I miss the seabass from the menu. It used to be my favourite. Cheese Platter was really good. Quite sophisticated gem in such a busy place. Under a railway bridge

Visited for a business lunch, butterfly prawns, 5 to the potion, reminders me off Costco. Salmon had no flavour, beans and boiled potatoes were poor. Are these really baby potatoes..no way. Expected roast potatoes or with a form of seasoning. The food is luke warm, not convinced its freshly made. Desserts were ok. Will not be visiting in the future unless a free lunch is offerer.

Nice food and a great building under the arches.
We had a window seat which is great for people spotting.
Reasonably priced house wine.

Great cosy place. Tasty food. Very reasonable price. Love Happy hour with cocktails for 2 at £9. Friendly staff. Would like to come back when music is on.

At the end of Lower Marsh street, Cubana has a large inside and covered outside sitting area. We ordered a Cubano sandwich and the Mixed tapas sharing plate, which came with:
- a dressed small salad with tomatoes, onions, bell pepper, and greens
- pollo frito con sesamo, a fried chicken cutlet with side of salsa
- falafel cubana, like a savory hush puppy or chickpea fritter
- pincho de pollo y chorizo, a skewer of marinated chicken, chorizo (more like a yummy meatball), grilled onion, grilled peppers
My favorites were the skewer and the battered and fried chicken cutlet. The chicken was well seasoned and cooked perfectly so it was juicy.

Really enjoyed visiting this restaurant! Cool ,rustic vibe ... enjoyed our choices, just a little disappointed that the grilled sandwich wasn't available on the day we dinned. 2 for 1 frozen cocktails pulled it bk ! Can't wait 2 come back again, thanks Guys xxx

I celebrated my 27th birthday on the terrace at Cubana Waterloo and had the best time ever! The atmosphere was amazing — super lively, fun, and perfect for a celebration. The mojitos (especially during happy hour!) were delicious, and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. I even brought a DJ, and they made everything feel seamless. The terrace vibe was unbeatable — great music, great people, and such good energy all around. 100% recommend it for birthdays or any special occasion!

This is some incredible authentic Cuban food and you will not be disappointed. All the ingredients are imported, I actually asked our waiter a bunch of questions about where they get all their ingredients. He was knowledgeable, kind and courteous. The restaurant has a real Cuban vibe to it. Also, try they're cappuccinos, they are delicious!!

Fantastic room rates for central London. It’s a military, member club, upon booking you know what type of room you’ll get, but in terms of hotel, it’s great. Staff are attentive, food is great, beer is super cheap for Zone 1. Accommodation is exactly as expected; it is not a general hotel…a single room with en suite is exactly that, don’t expect a sofa! The rooms as advertised do exactly what is needed; for those expecting a luxurious hotel, you can head over the road and pay their rates, but this is probably the best Service (private) club in London.

Fantastic location for visiting Central London. The club is right next to Waterloo Station.
The rooms are clean and tidy and well maintained.
The bar has a decent selection of drinks at prices below London pub prices.
All of the staff are very helpful.
Stuart Wilson - 2 months ago
This club is for military veterans and their families. Once here you feel you are amongst like minded people and usually find a friend or someone with shared background or service history. Very popular for reunions. Yes children are welcome and are catered for in the restaurants. Well priced for the average family break at any season of the year.
The front door is up steps but there are ramps and wheelchair users are welcome and enjoy free parking if a blue badge holder. But phone first to book a place as there are limited parking spaces available.

Love the refurbished restaurant very warm and friendly atmosphere. The addition of Gluten free options is a major step forward in safe dinning for someone diagnosed as Celiac latter in life.
Thank you.

Wonderful Dining Experience at The Thames!
We had a truly fantastic meal at The Thames Indian restaurant recently and were so impressed with everything.
We started with the aloo shingara, which was absolutely delicious. For our main courses, we enjoyed a variety of dishes. The Tandoori Mixed Grill was a highlight, especially the lamb chop which was incredibly soft, tender, and full of flavour. We also thoroughly enjoyed the lamb biryani, Tarka Daal, and Lamb Balti. The naga chicken was fantastic and had that authentic naga flavour – just be warned, as our host kindly did, that it's extra spicy, so only order if you can truly handle the heat!
The bread selection was also excellent; both the garlic naan and the peshwari naan were amazing, with the peshwari having just the right amount of sweetness.
To finish, we indulged in the gulab jamun, which had a lovely, distinct cardamom flavour that we really liked, as well as the chocolate cake and chocolate ice cream.
A special mention goes to our host, Sab, who was especially helpful in recommending dishes and made our experience even better.
The service was great and the atmosphere was very pleasant. We highly recommend The Thames for a wonderful Indian meal and we can't wait to return.

Incredible meal. I was here on a choir tour and wandered down with some friends. Service was friendly from the start. I ordered butter chicken with garlic naan and rice. The flavor did not disappoint! It was a filling and pleasant meal experience. The service refilled waters and checked in on us thoroughly during the meal and I plan to tell many people about this place. Top of the line restaurant in my book.

Had a very enjoyable meal here. Very welcoming and very easy to make a large group booking for 15. Service excellent, fast to get drinks out and food was delicious! One of the best Jalfrezis I’ve had! everyone in the group was pleased with the food. Overall an excellent meal with excellent service, thanks very much!

Their veggie pizza options are great and the 2 for 12 cocktails deal is not to be missed. The chain has various locations but similar ambience fortunately this one was a bigger space outlet... the seating was ample and comfortable.

By far, the best Pizza Express I've been to. Absolutely superb service by Servet! Utterly delicious food, which was ready really quickly too. Choc fudge dessert was absolutely yum! But the main thing which stood out, was the amazing level of service by Servet. Thank you!

Don’t judge this place by its cover! The inside of this restaurant is absolutely stunning, the architecture and original features are so beautiful. For the food the portions are actually quite big and tasted absolutely delicious. The staff were so friendly, polite and professional. I Would highly recommend that everyone needs to try this place. We will definitely be back!!!

Overall decent experience here. The outside seating is nice, but can be quite loud with the train stations above. The service was very lackluster, but common for London. The food was pretty good. I got the carbonara. We shared some desserts as well.

Very Nice location and friendly staff. We spent a nuce time in this restaurant. We stopped there for a quick lunch and ordered a pizza and one dish of spaghetti bolognese. The pizza was good, but the spaghetti was cooked too long.

An uneven yet enjoyable dining experience. The starters were the clear highlight: outstanding fish dishes and exceptionally good spare ribs, full of flavor and perfectly prepared. The main courses, while decent, lacked the final push to truly impress and felt somewhat underwhelming in comparison. Attentive service ensured a smooth evening, even if the kitchen’s strengths clearly lay in the starters. The already included 20%tip on the bill was surprising.

If you are looking for classy tasty Italian dishes, this is the place to go!
You don't have to travel to Italy just for the food.
I am from Switzerland and visit Italy every month serval times, please trust me.
I recommend to start with antipasto, primi and secondo.
If you are only two or three, just share the plate!
Batutta meta wit truffels, and the spicy gambas is just great!
The Spaghetti Barca a must!
The Nodino did Vitello just a melting dream (soft veal T-Bone)!
Also the selection of Italian wines ist great and with reasonable prices.
We had the rosé Franciacorta 61' sparkling wine from Berlucchi (Champagne méthode) and a Salice Valentino from Apuglia with Negro Amaro grapes fruity, dry and smooth
The desert menue is just heaven! (and I am not into deserts).
Limoncello was on the house, fruity and not sticky (frozen glasses would be the crown)

Delicious food, prompt service, and lovely ambience in the centre of London. We particularly liked the authentic Italian Olive Oil that paired nicely with the bread basket. I’m vegetarian: Ricotta and Spinach Ravioli with sage butter was great, mushroom risotto not so much. Overall, highly recommended.

We had a great dinner at La Barca tonight. Our waiters Sergio and Luigi and others were great! The food was delicious. A lot of the staff is from Sardinia and everyone in our family enjoyed the food. The restaurant was recommended to us by a friend who has lived his entire life in the UK. We hope to return on our next trip to London. We would recommend the restaurant to couples, a family or even a business meal. The service and the food were worth the taxi fare from across the Thames.
If anyone is looking for Italian food in London we would recommend La Barca as it was recommended to us by a local friend.
They also took our reservation via email. They have indoor (air conditioned) and outdoor seating.

Amazing restaurant! So elegant and surprising in the middle of lower march street. Amazing food, the sea food pasta was made right in front of us. And also everything else, the ravioli, minestrone soup and penne arrabiatta, were all great. It is not cheap but definitely worth it.
