Although the rooms are all super spacious and clean, they're getting pretty dated and tired now. Furniture chipped, grouting failing, stains on the carpet. However it's nice having a small kitchen, and separate living area. Good breakfast and nice service. I'd stil highly recommend this place as a basic and comfortable place to stay.

Absolutely fantastic hotel! We had an excellent experience right from check in to check out, throughout our stay. We were traveling with 2 small kids and the staff welcomed us with enthusiasm and some goodies for the kids. Amenities, cleanliness, breakfast, service, location; everything was impeccable! It was our son’s birthday and he wanted to share cake with the staff, we did that without any expectations honestly, just to share our son’s happiness and the hotel reciprocated by sending him goodies and decorating our room for his birthday. Would definitely come back.

Parth at the front desk made our whole day. We have had a pretty unfortunate turn of events with our Airbnb we had booked and ended up stranded for the night. He got us a lively room and really made us feel much better eighth for the hop. The room is cozy and a nice place for us to land for the night. Thank you Parth :)

I recently stayed at the Park Plaza Hotel in London, very close to the Big Ben area. The location is excellent and the room was cozy, spacious, and modern, which I really appreciated. However, the breakfast buffet was quite disappointing — the choices were very limited, the food didn’t feel fresh, and it didn’t live up to expectations. The lobby also felt too small for a hotel of this size. Overall, a comfortable stay in terms of the room and location, but the breakfast and common areas need serious improvement.

This hotel was the perfect base for our 5-day trip to London. The location is unbeatable - we could walk to so many attractions, making it incredibly convenient. The rooms were clean, and the staff, especially the security team, were welcoming and kind. We’d happily stay here again!

We went for a dinner to The Archduke with 7 people. The staff was okay-friendly but not very welcoming, just okay. The atmosphere is very nice, there is a huge glass wall upstairs where we had our table. As per feedback from my colleagues the food was great, I think just me was a bit unhappy with the chicken in my Cesar salad. The chicken was cold, dry and I could barely cut it. I ordered mushrooms on the side and a soup which were amazing. Also the espresso martini in the end was very delicious.

I have been going to the archduke for more than 20 years. I love the live music and the staff are quite friendly and flexible. We celebrated my daughters 19th birthday. The band sang happy birthday. The cocktails were really tasty. I miss the seabass from the menu. It used to be my favourite. Cheese Platter was really good. Quite sophisticated gem in such a busy place. Under a railway bridge

Delicious for at a great place. The servers are very knowledgeable about stuff and when they recommend you something they don't just do it for the sake of recommending it but it's really delicious! The atmosphere is good and clean, but the jazz music can be a bit loud if you want to speak. So better to sit a bit further from the band playing. Overall would definitely recommend this place! 👍

Visited for a business lunch, butterfly prawns, 5 to the potion, reminders me off Costco. Salmon had no flavour, beans and boiled potatoes were poor. Are these really baby potatoes..no way. Expected roast potatoes or with a form of seasoning. The food is luke warm, not convinced its freshly made. Desserts were ok. Will not be visiting in the future unless a free lunch is offerer.

Great food, atmosphere and staff! We had an awesome dinner of steak frites and field mushrooms with goat’s cheese. Dessert was amazing - the ice cream sundae was perfect as was the Cornish Brie.

At the end of Lower Marsh street, Cubana has a large inside and covered outside sitting area. We ordered a Cubano sandwich and the Mixed tapas sharing plate, which came with: - a dressed small salad with tomatoes, onions, bell pepper, and greens - pollo frito con sesamo, a fried chicken cutlet with side of salsa - falafel cubana, like a savory hush puppy or chickpea fritter - pincho de pollo y chorizo, a skewer of marinated chicken, chorizo (more like a yummy meatball), grilled onion, grilled peppers My favorites were the skewer and the battered and fried chicken cutlet. The chicken was well seasoned and cooked perfectly so it was juicy.

I celebrated my 27th birthday on the terrace at Cubana Waterloo and had the best time ever! The atmosphere was amazing — super lively, fun, and perfect for a celebration. The mojitos (especially during happy hour!) were delicious, and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. I even brought a DJ, and they made everything feel seamless. The terrace vibe was unbeatable — great music, great people, and such good energy all around. 100% recommend it for birthdays or any special occasion!

This is an atmospheric gem nearby the Waterloo Graffiti tunnel, really the most colourful bar and restaurant. Plenty of seats outside and inside. Delicious food and good service. Such an amazing ambiance and top tier service every single time I come here. If you ever want to come and enjoy some food and some drinks with excellent and friendly customer service and vibes; I highly recommend it here. Happy hour drinks are usually made so badly but they make sure to make them as good as they would during any point of the day. Fantastic room rates for central London. It’s a military, member club, upon booking you know what type of room you’ll get, but in terms of hotel, it’s great. Staff are attentive, food is great, beer is super cheap for Zone 1. Accommodation is exactly as expected; it is not a general hotel…a single room with en suite is exactly that, don’t expect a sofa! The rooms as advertised do exactly what is needed; for those expecting a luxurious hotel, you can head over the road and pay their rates, but this is probably the best Service (private) club in London.

The Union Jack Club is a fantastic hotel with equally fantastic staff. The location is excellent—right across from the train station and bus lines, with plenty of food places, convenience stores, and shopping all around. The rooms were fairly decent, and I enjoyed my 5-night stay overall. However, I did run into two major issues. First, the shower in my room had plumbing problems—the water didn’t drain properly, causing flooding and leaving me standing in ankle-deep water while showering. Unfortunately, I wasn’t offered an alternative room or any other solution. Second, the laundry facilities were disappointing. I used two washers that did not drain properly, which damaged both loads of my clothes. If it weren’t for those two issues, I would have gladly given this hotel five stars. That said, I would still stay here again and recommend it as a great place to stay—especially for its prime location and excellent service.

The perfect nights stay. My husband had stayed previously but it was the first time I had used the UJC. Everything was brilliant from start to finish. Very polite helpful staff, lovely clean room with everything you need, comfortable bed and very soft fluffy towels. Breakfast was an amazing choice and great value for money and the staff at breakfast also fantastic. Found the storage facility for bags and absolute godsend also and change facilities after being at a doo. Cannot wait to return.

Wonderful Dining Experience at The Thames! We had a truly fantastic meal at The Thames Indian restaurant recently and were so impressed with everything. We started with the aloo shingara, which was absolutely delicious. For our main courses, we enjoyed a variety of dishes. The Tandoori Mixed Grill was a highlight, especially the lamb chop which was incredibly soft, tender, and full of flavour. We also thoroughly enjoyed the lamb biryani, Tarka Daal, and Lamb Balti. The naga chicken was fantastic and had that authentic naga flavour – just be warned, as our host kindly did, that it's extra spicy, so only order if you can truly handle the heat! The bread selection was also excellent; both the garlic naan and the peshwari naan were amazing, with the peshwari having just the right amount of sweetness. To finish, we indulged in the gulab jamun, which had a lovely, distinct cardamom flavour that we really liked, as well as the chocolate cake and chocolate ice cream. A special mention goes to our host, Sab, who was especially helpful in recommending dishes and made our experience even better. The service was great and the atmosphere was very pleasant. We highly recommend The Thames for a wonderful Indian meal and we can't wait to return.

Incredible meal. I was here on a choir tour and wandered down with some friends. Service was friendly from the start. I ordered butter chicken with garlic naan and rice. The flavor did not disappoint! It was a filling and pleasant meal experience. The service refilled waters and checked in on us thoroughly during the meal and I plan to tell many people about this place. Top of the line restaurant in my book.

A Hidden Gem Right Next to BPP University – Thames Restaurant As a regular at Thames, I can confidently say this place is an absolute gem — especially if you’re studying at BPP University like I am. The food is consistently top notch, and honestly, I haven’t tried a single dish that didn’t hit the mark. Whether you’re in the mood for something vegetarian, non-vegetarian, or even vegan, their menu has something delicious for everyone. Last time I had their Dal Makhani with rice, and it was beyond comforting — creamy, flavourful, and served piping hot. The portion sizes are generous and the plating is always neat. A special shoutout to Robin, the manager, who always brings a warm smile and the best recommendations. His sense of taste is on point, and he never fails to suggest something delightful. The owner is equally welcoming and friendly, making the atmosphere even more inviting. The interiors are clean, cozy, and perfect for both quick lunches and laid-back dinners. Whether you’re dining solo, with friends, or even bringing family, you really can’t go wrong with this place. Love love this spot — 10/10 would recommend!

We had dinner yesterday and were absolutely blown away by the service, especially thanks to Vera. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional from the moment we sat down. Vera made us feel welcome and taken care of throughout the entire evening. Her warm attitude and genuine smile added so much to our dining experience. Everything was perfect from the timing of the courses to the helpful recommendations she gave us. We visited here on a Monday around 6pm, wasn’t too busy so didn’t have to wait long for a table. Our waiter was lovely and checked on us throughout the meal. We went straight in with the pizzas, all of which were cooked perfectly and were delicious. the favourite was the BBQ Burnt Ends Pizza so would definitely suggest a try! We finished it off with a Biscoff ice cream sundae which was a lovely sweet treat. We have been here many times and always had a good experience with the welcoming staff. Look forward to coming again soon!

Don’t judge this place by its cover! The inside of this restaurant is absolutely stunning, the architecture and original features are so beautiful. For the food the portions are actually quite big and tasted absolutely delicious. The staff were so friendly, polite and professional. I Would highly recommend that everyone needs to try this place. Azzuro, conveniently located next to Waterloo station, is a perfect stop if you need to catch a train later. The service was lovely and friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. We started with an outstanding antipasti for two, then enjoyed beautifully cooked seabass that was really delicious. Desserts were a treat: the apple pie and tiramisu were both excellent. The cocktail selection is strong and tasty. Cozy atmosphere, great food, and reliable service, definitely will be back.

Overall decent experience here. The outside seating is nice, but can be quite loud with the train stations above. The service was very lackluster, but common for London. The food was pretty good. I got the carbonara. We shared some desserts as well.

Staff are very nice so no fault on them but I had asked for the avocado to be replaced with olives and they removed tomatoes too and gave just a few olives and for £17 I think it was quite basic, although the flavour was quite nice.

We had a great dinner at La Barca tonight. Our waiters Sergio and Luigi and others were great! The food was delicious. A lot of the staff is from Sardinia and everyone in our family enjoyed the food. The restaurant was recommended to us by a friend who has lived his entire life in the UK. We hope to return on our next trip to London. We would recommend the restaurant to couples, a family or even a business meal. The service and the food were worth the taxi fare from across the Thames. If anyone is looking for Italian food in London we would recommend La Barca as it was recommended to us by a local friend. They also took our reservation via email. They have indoor (air conditioned) and outdoor seating.

Amazing restaurant! So elegant and surprising in the middle of lower march street. Amazing food, the sea food pasta was made right in front of us. And also everything else, the ravioli, minestrone soup and penne arrabiatta, were all great. It is not cheap but definitely worth it.

We came for a midweek lunch and shared the calamari fritti (the squid was a bit chewy and felt a bit undercooked as it wasn't crispy on the outside) and I had the linguine mare blue linguine which had prawns, scallops and sun dried tomatoes (large portion size and generous amount of seafood) but still felt expensive for what it was. The service was attentive and polite.
