Excellent hotel. Very spacious twin room with separate seating area. Quality room amenities. Views over towards the Shard were good to see. Floor 7 wasn’t noisy from road traffic.
Excellent attentive staff.
No slippers or robes in the room which was a shame.
Ideal
Location for The Festival Theatre, Houses Of Parliament, Buckingham Palace etc.

I am writing to express my outrage and deep disappointment following my recent experience at Park Plaza County Hall London.
I approached the front desk to request a late check-out so I could perform my prayers before leaving for the airport. The employee at reception, fully aware that I am Muslim, claimed that the hotel was fully booked without even checking the system. shockingly she then suggested that I pray by the toilets. This response was not only dismissive but blatantly disrespectful and humiliating.
The following morning, I returned to the front desk and spoke with another employee named Eli. In stark contrast, Eli checked the system within two minutes and provided me with new room keys for a late check-out at no extra charge. This proves that the previous employee’s claim about being fully booked was false and her actions were entirely unnecessary.
Eli also informed me that the hotel actually has a prayer room for staff. While I understand that this room is not available for guests, it is absolutely unacceptable that the previous employee offered me the toilets as a place to pray, rather than simply explaining the situation or trying to accommodate my needs in a dignified manner.
I have no doubt that the initial employee’s suggestion was motivated by prejudice against Muslims and was intended to degrade and embarrass me. Such discriminatory behavior is absolutely unacceptable, especially from a renowned hotel chain like Radisson, which claims to uphold values of inclusivity and respect.
I demand immediate compensation for the distress and humiliation caused by this discriminatory treatment. I also expect a formal apology and assurance that appropriate action will be taken to prevent such incidents from happening to other guests in the future.

Amazing! We checked in after a 27hour flight from Australia to find out we made an error on our booking.com booking. This was not a problem for the team at Park Plaza who genuinely provided us with the best possible outcome and hotel experience. Hats off to Qunlian and his staff for making our stay a 7 star experience. We will definitely be coming back.

Park Plaza is a great hotel chain with multiple branches in the UK. County Plaza had a wonderful location and good service. Rooms were big and comfortable. Only thing is that the bathroom was a bit small and had broken tiles. I think bathrooms need renovation. Overall we enjoyed our long stay here.

Great Hotel. I stayed here for 4 days with my family. Very convenient location. Easy access from the Waterloo train station as well as underground. Great breakfast and friendly staff.
While booking , I was concerned about the train station behind the hotel and thought it would be noisy. I was on the 6th floor and it was absolutely quiet. I would definitely stay here next time I visit

Delicious for at a great place. The servers are very knowledgeable about stuff and when they recommend you something they don't just do it for the sake of recommending it but it's really delicious! The atmosphere is good and clean, but the jazz music can be a bit loud if you want to speak. So better to sit a bit further from the band playing. Overall would definitely recommend this place! 👍

Great food, atmosphere and staff! We had an awesome dinner of steak frites and field mushrooms with goat’s cheese. Dessert was amazing - the ice cream sundae was perfect as was the Cornish Brie.

A truly great dining experience. Querky, interesting and very delicious. The food is amazing. Great cocktails ( we had a Habana) and beer. Really interesting decor with lots of historical pictures. Great music. Nice friendly staff and very attentive. Oh and did I mention the food? Wow, beautifully balanced spices with tasty dips and sauces. We had a sharing platter and Prawns with rice and plantain. Sooo nice. Highly recommended by a retired chef. Enjoy.

We got seated quickly. Food was delicious! Gave it 4 instead of 5 stars because the amount of food for price was a bit skewed.

It looks more like a bar than a restaurant, so I’ve never got around to visit. It turns out, they are open in the daytime, and their food is good.
I had Tortilla (omlette), Quimbobo (Okra stew), and a bowl of black beans. Yes, it was probably more than I needed, but everything was delicious.
The decor is bear and everything screams boozy bar. I felt out of place, but I would happily go back there for lunch when there is no loud music and drunken people.

Had a bad one this time. Food isn't really up to previous quality and portions were very meagre. Had a poor responze from just one young member of staff who was quite petulant as I asked a question of her. "Wait until I sit down"!! Which took me aback. Just unnecessary. Everyone else was great.

Great hotel in a good location as opposite Waterloo tube station
Reasonably priced food and drink
decent breakfast
We stayed on 5th floor
Rubbish view and over the air-conditioning system
Was very noisy during the night as had to have the window open as room very warm due to the air-conditioning and general outside noise of London
Would love to stay again but only if on the higher floors

I booked an evening meal in the restaurant last night for myself, my son and his partner. We were fortunately served by a young man called Abraham, he was absolutely exceptional in every way. Extremely accommodating the due to the late arrival of my sons partner, he was a true professional and a credit to himself and the Union Jack Club. One of the best customer experiences ever.

A true home from home for veterans working in London in need of decent and reasonably priced accommodation. Fantastic staff. Great food too. Thank you all at UJC.

If you're either in the forces or a veteran, this place is a must if you visit London. You don't have to book a room to enjoy the facilities as a member (serving forces are automatically members, MOD90 to gain entry). Me and my wife had a full day in London before an evening flight. We used the changing rooms and shower to freshen up, a few drinks in the bar (£3.50 a pint), and then an excellent meal in the restaurant. I use the UJC often, and it's always busy.

Really good dim sum restaurant, although expensive with lots of options - there is a fixed price option too. The chicken katsu curry was really good as were the kebabs. Atmosphere is really good and well located in Southbank.

It was very busy when we arrived, but the excellent staff found us a table without delay and the service continued to excel throughout our time there.
The food order was taken quickly and the dishes arrived without delay - despite how busy the restaurant was.
Each dish was well prepared and tasted great - and the alcohol free cocktails were most welcome.

Been to most of the branches, this one is nice and is in a great location. Staff are generally friendly and helpful albeit a bit too busy.
The food is good and well presented, however pricing is a bit stretched for what it is. The paper/pencil tick ordering method is clumsy, especially when you want to order multiple same items. They need to modernise this.
Cocktails are good, especially the lemongrass one most come in mock-tail form and are equally enjoyable.

We didn't know you had to book to get the 50% discount between 1-12 Jan, but sat down anyway. Nice buns and dumplings, orderly delivered on time. Nice vibe added by Sarah, who didn't serve us but always cleared our table with a nice smile. Lovely energy. A keeper.

My first visit to ping pong. The menu mechanic had to be explained to us by the waiter, and it makes very little sense. You mark down what you want on a paper menu with the supplied pencil, manually writing any multiples. The waiters then come over and copy it down. Why not just order conventionally and not have to throw the menus away after every customer leaves? Service was attentive considering how busy the restaurant was. Food is decent, if you like dim sum. The Gyoza are quite authentic. At £180 for three people, I felt the restaurant was expensive for the "fast food" experience provided. If I returned, I wouldn't go for the £40 set menu, which was costly for the small amount of food provided for it.

Wonderful Dining Experience at The Thames!
We had a truly fantastic meal at The Thames Indian restaurant recently and were so impressed with everything.
We started with the aloo shingara, which was absolutely delicious. For our main courses, we enjoyed a variety of dishes. The Tandoori Mixed Grill was a highlight, especially the lamb chop which was incredibly soft, tender, and full of flavour. We also thoroughly enjoyed the lamb biryani, Tarka Daal, and Lamb Balti. The naga chicken was fantastic and had that authentic naga flavour – just be warned, as our host kindly did, that it's extra spicy, so only order if you can truly handle the heat!
The bread selection was also excellent; both the garlic naan and the peshwari naan were amazing, with the peshwari having just the right amount of sweetness.
To finish, we indulged in the gulab jamun, which had a lovely, distinct cardamom flavour that we really liked, as well as the chocolate cake and chocolate ice cream.
A special mention goes to our host, Sab, who was especially helpful in recommending dishes and made our experience even better.
The service was great and the atmosphere was very pleasant. We highly recommend The Thames for a wonderful Indian meal and we can't wait to return.

I had a wonderful meal here! The food was delicious, highly recommend the Paneer Karahi, ask them to make it special for you! Mushroom rice was delicious, as was the naan. The service was wonderful. Highly recommend!

I recently stumbled upon The Thames Restaurant near Waterloo Station, and it’s truly a hidden gem! This establishment offers an authentic taste of Indian and Bangladeshi cuisine in a warm and inviting atmosphere.
The Satkora Chicken, infused with tangy Bangladeshi lime, was a standout, and the Nalli Ghosth lamb shank was melt-in-your-mouth perfection.
Their naan breads, especially the Peshwari and Keema, were the perfect accompaniment to the flavorful curries.
The staff were attentive and knowledgeable, guiding us through the menu with genuine enthusiasm. Given its proximity to landmarks like the London Eye and the Southbank IMAX, it’s surprising this place isn’t more widely known.
If you’re in the area and craving authentic Indian cuisine, The Thames Restaurant is a must-visit!

I was welcomed by a lady called Sonia who was a fantastic waitress and well deserved 5 star service. I got enticed by the lunch time deal (butter chicken with rice or naan) for £10.
When ordering the food I was given the option if I liked it spicy medium or mild. I thought that was really good that they can cater to your taste buds. I got the default version of the curry which was mild. I was surprised when the curry came within 3-4minutes. I also noticed the curry cooled down very quickly and think this is because they are re heating their food from possibly a few days ago. The marinated chicken was greyish in colour again suggesting it had been cooked a couple of days ago. However their naan is defiantly fresh and very tasty. Overall the food still tasted good and if you’re someone who isn’t bothered by these things defiantly worth trying.
One thing to bear in mind if you are ordering the lunch time deal like myself the price does go up almost £15 when eating in. This is because there naan are not that big and so you will end up ordering another naan or rice which takes your bill to £13.45 and then a 10% service charge so what initially enticed you which was the money no longer makes sense.

I went out for dinner with my friend’s for my friends birthday on Saturday .The customer service was excellent. The pizza was great and the service was fast. We had a lovely waitress called Justiana. She was lovely she answered all our questions about the food that they offered. She even gave suggestions of what to order when we asked. She was smiling the whole time and has probably been the best waitress I have ever had. She saw my friend’s birthday badge and when we ordered dessert she came out with a candle and sang happy birthday to my friend. Such a lovely girl Will definitely recommend this pizza express.

I made a big mistake in capping my last night in London in this restaurant. The food was great, but the service was CRAPPY.
When I arrived, it took a long time for me to be entertained. I understand if it was a busy night, but no. There were plenty of empty tables. Probably they were understaffed that night. 🤷
Finally, a male server (let's call him vincent) noticed me, but he didn't play host. He just said something like, "Somebody will be with you soon." Perhaps it's not his job, but of the maître d'. 🤷 So, it's fine.
After some time, I was seated and given the menu, it took them a LOOONG time to take my orders. I tried to get the attention of a server, which is vincent. And he just said," Yes, yes, yes." with an annoying tone and walked past me; he didn't take my order. Maybe it's not his area of responsibility. 🤷 Then, I waited again for so long. I was already planning to leave, but a female server (let's call her honey) at last came to take my orders.
Then during my entire meal, NOBODY asked if everything's okay, how was the food, yadda-yadda. Unlike other restaurants I had been to even if it was a busy time. Take note: They were doing it to the other customers.
After my main meal, I wanted to order a dessert. I tried to get honey's attention, but she just walked past me looking at somewhere else. Let's give her the benefit of the doubt. Possibly she really didn't see/hear me. In the end, a different male server took my order.
When I was going to pay my bill, funnily enough, vincent gave me a damn when he previously didn't.
I was so glad that I didn't need to pay for a service fee. Even if there was, I will surely pay for it, but definitely UNHAPPILY. I didn't even leave a gratuity. Why would I give a tip if I received a subpar service?
I sincerely hope the reason for their poor quality service is because they're undertrained, not because I was subjected to racial discrimination. I'm Asian with dominant East Asian features.

I cant recommend this place enough. Dropping into London on the weekends cannot be complete without coming to this pizza express. From the authentic Italian Pizzas to their welcoming vibe, this place cant be topped! I would like to especially thank Justiana for always being there to welcome us with a heartfelt smile, her customer oriented approach doesnt go unrecognised. I love this place!!

We visited here on a Monday around 6pm, wasn’t too busy so didn’t have to wait long for a table.
Our waiter was lovely and checked on us throughout the meal. We went straight in with the pizzas, all of which were cooked perfectly and were delicious. the favourite was the BBQ Burnt Ends Pizza so would definitely suggest a try!
We finished it off with a Biscoff ice cream sundae which was a lovely sweet treat.
We have been here many times and always had a good experience with the welcoming staff. Look forward to coming again soon!

I’ve visited Azzurro in Waterloo three times now, and each visit has been perfect. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a relaxed vibe that works for both family meals and get-togethers with good friends. The staff are always friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home. The food is consistently fantastic—whether it's their rich, flavorful pasta dishes or perfectly cooked pizzas, everything is fresh and beautifully presented. I’ve been here with family and friends, and it ticks both boxes: a great spot for a cozy family dinner or a fun, relaxed meal with friends. I can always count on them for an excellent experience. Highly recommend!

Very good.
On the Tastecard they have 2-for-1 on all courses which makes it good value.
I got salmon risotto the taste was good. My friend got a beef burger he enjoyed it.
The atmosphere is nice inside. It is dimly lit which would be good for date nights.
They automatically applied the tastecard promotion without me having to ask again and didn't add any nasty additional charges at the end either.
I will be going to Azzurro again.
