5 Star Rating Wonderful place to stay for visiting London on holiday. We had a London eye view regular studio and it was awesome. Cannot beat the view and easy access to all of London and beyond via a short walk to Waterloo station. Many tourist sights are easily walkable straight from the hotel as well. There is nice privacy for 2 adults and 2 kids with the room floor plan as the bathroom is in the middle of the room accessible via a galley kitchenette thereby dividing it into two somewhat separate sleeping areas, while still being a studio room. Bathroom had a shower and a separate tub, which was more than I was expecting. Hotel was very quiet; appeared to be roughly half business travelers and half leisure travels while we were there. I 100% recommend adding the daily breakfast on to your room. It was a delicious spread with a lot of different options along with coffee/cappuccino/latte/espresso/juices, etc. It was nice to have a hearty meal each morning before we ventured out exploring as we walked a lot each day and we didn’t feel the need to stop and get food until many hours later. Cannot recommend this hotel enough.

4 Star Rating Great location. Close to major attractions (London Eye. Big Ben. Westminster Abbey etc.) but off the heavy foot traffic path. Short walk to a bus stop (Big bus, Hop on, Hop off ...) on the Red and the Blue lines. Cannot beat the view we had from our room. The room was spacious (not just by London standards). The staff was friendly. The beds are comfortable. Plenty of closet space.

4 Star Rating Hotel with a fantastic location a few hundred meters from the London Eye. Pleasant and helpful service. Child-friendly staff. Surprisingly good breakfast with many different hot dishes to choose from. Cut up fruit and many types of bread. Cleaning was good. Surprisingly good hair dryer in the room, the best hair dryer ever in a hotel according to the wife. Good beds, pillows and duvets.

5 Star Rating Very good experience at the hotel. The location is exceptional for tourism, very close to Waterloo Station, full of buses around, and walking distance to the Eye of London, Big Ben, Trafalgar Square, Tate Modern... the rooms are clean and everything works perfectly. Breakfast is quite good, not very busy, wide range of foods, and all the staff were very supportive with us as we travel with children with some allergies. We will come back for sure!

5 Star Rating It was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. I cannot think a single complaint for this hotel. The food was amazing, the service was over the top and the hotel room was spotless. We were given the VIP of the day and it really just made the trip that much more special. Cannot recommend this hotel in the centre of London enough

4 Star Rating Unique experience dining under the railway track and having the place rumble ever once a while. It sort of help digest food a bit better. Joke aside, was there for a planned dinner for a party of 20ish and the order taken were accurate and well prepared. There were no mix up and the steak came at the right requested done-ness. Appetiser were good, except the prawn which were overly fried. The fillet steak can be slightly bigger perhaps as it doesn’t do justice to the experience. Dessert, well, there is always room for more. Drinks were good with selections of local and foreign beer. A good place for group eat if planned ahead with the restaurant!

4 Star Rating Food was good, starter we chose, 3 different humus was really tasty.. went at happy hour, so pleased with our extra drinks ! One wine was full of grunge, but staff were excellent, apologetic and quick to get a replacement one. Rest of food was tasty but not spectacular. It was quiet when we went, but I'm sure would have a great vibe when busy. Staff were very helpful and nice. Would go again..

5 Star Rating Had a beautiful experience dining here. The food was delicious. The ambience isn’t bad but I love it; one can see the streets from inside the restaurant. There’s lots of posters and “graffiti” from old times on the walls which gives it an even more interesting feel. I wish it was slightly bigger because it felt cramped inside. The waiters were helpful and polite. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and would definitely recommend it.

4 Star Rating This is the first time we've ever tried Cuban food and it was great. I personally like the banana so much. Seems a bit strange to have it in the dish but it complemented the taste very well. Only thing I would suggest if the staff could ask whether we want to sit inside or outside rather than just taking us to the outdoor table immediately. But I saw them asked other customers who came after us to select the table so it was a bit awkward.

5 Star Rating Unlike any other hotel, this place really feels like a home away from home. The staff are very professional and hardworking, especially the servers in the restaurant and there is a real sense of community here. We got a room on the 20th floor and the views are unmatched in central London for a hotel of this price point. The price is literally unbeatable in this part of London and being across the road from Waterloo station we were able to travel to any part of the city with ease, I hope to be back again soon.

5 Star Rating Having not been back to the UJC since the mid 80’s it was a complete blast back to my younger years whilst still serving and always my place to stay when I was on weekenders in London! Still just the best welcome anywhere in London and truly as they say ‘ a London home away from home’. Wonderful facilities and everyone has a smile on their face. Exceptional service that puts many a 5 star city hotel to utter shame. Same values I remember all those years ago. So glad I re acquainted myself with such a wonderful place. Met some lovely folk and remembered what keeps service people such a special group of individuals. Thank you for a wonderful albeit short trip and without doubt! I will be back very soon. 🙏

2 Star Rating First time of staying overnight, and sad to say it was disappointing. Good & bad to report. Firstly the bad, the room was SO hot, but we overlooked that, but not having a decent sleep was our main issue. Room doors banging randomly during the night. Noisy pipework began at around 0600hrs and continued until we finally couldn't take anymore and got up early! Along with the hot room, we just didn't sleep well at all and were both shattered the next day. The good. Cleanliness & food. Both were very good. Obviously being veterans, we love all thinks UJC and what it stands for. Unfortunately however, we won't be staying overnight again, but may frequent the restaurant & bar. Travel Lodge in comparison is much better for a good night's sleep! Over and out.

5 Star Rating Have stopped here on many occasions whilst visiting London. Always had a perfect stay with comfortable rooms, excellent food and exemplary staff who look after you. On my last visit I met a former colleague who now lives in the USA whom I served with....we met at breakfast....it was though we were still serving together....this is the unique hallmark of this absolutely amazing establishment. He just happened to choose the same weekend as me..... We enjoy the UJC very much and support it as often as we possibly can. So much so, that we are staying over during Christmas 2024. Thank you everyone for keeping the UJC running so smoothly, we look forward to seeing you all soon.

3 Star Rating My first time dining at a Ping Pong restaurant. Was a pretty average experience overall. Everything about it was OK and standard. 3/5 is ideal mark. If you want something straight forward, good value and an easy lunch then this is the place to go. Properly won't be going back as there is too many other restaurants to try in London.

5 Star Rating 5/5 place for me, would totally go again someday. I went with my boyfriend on Saturday after visiting the Royal Festive Hall. The place was in a convenient spot and we got seats even though it was about 30 minutes before closing. Ordering food is comfortable, staff lady was nice, didn't really wait long for my meal & drinks. Not the cheapest place around and definitely a bit loud inside but everything was absolutely delicious (Pictures of Chicken Katsu Curry and a Strawberry & Vanilla Iced Tea) 👍

4 Star Rating London celebrates its culinary diversity and this is one of them. Their dim sum's flavours aren't exactly what I called traditional or authentic, but their textures were superb. The dumpling and har gau skins were all fresh, chewy, and well made. The crust of their spring roll and cake were fried to perfection--crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. A harmonious balance of yin and yang. Great effort indeed! Although the flavours aren't traditional, the taste is still delicious and creative at times. All female members of staff (including the manager-looking lady and Aiswarya) were very attentive to customer needs when I was there; while, strangely, the male members never looked at my way when I needed something. No smile on their faces, neither. For first timers, I recommend the set menu (available all day) to try.

4 Star Rating Nice large restaurant. The service was pretty good and the food arrived quite quickly. The food was fairly standard, good but not as good as proper dim sum places, and a bit more expensive. I was not a fan of chicken and truffle dumpling, since it was truffle oil and not actual truffle.

4 Star Rating Love Pizza Express pizzas. Quick bite after the theatre. Not very busy but was told only one waiter was on. The others came on at 5pm. Took a while to get order in. Pizzas were lovely but very hard to cut. Not sure if that was th3 base or the blunt cutlery. Used the pizza cutter but ended up just tearing it to pieces! Used Tesco Clubcard points towards the total cost so happy. Waiter and service was fine.

3 Star Rating There was a group of about 40 middle school students and teachers out front as we approached the restaurant. My first thought was, uh oh, I hope we don't have to wait too long for a table. Nope... this place was huge. It looked modern and clean. Our server looked a little stressed because he said he unexpectedly had a huge group to serve, so we made sure to put our whole order in before he got to them. This place definitely caters to kids. They have a kids' menu with cups filled with colored pencils. They also had a good deal for a kids' meal: app, main, and dessert. The app was the dough balls, which was a plate of four round bread, butter, cucumber, and Thompson tomatoes. His main was an American pizza (pepperoni pizza), which was large enough for him. For dessert, he chose the brownie, which was pretty small. My first drink was Raspberry Cosmo Spritz. It tasted like Sprite. I asked to switch to something else, so I got a margarita. That was also awful. If you get a drink here, you'd be better off with beer. The calamari we ordered was like onion rings; lots of bread. The Padana pizza was pretty good.

3 Star Rating As far as 'Italian' places go, this one is ok. I'm not Italian but visited with buddy who is and he always checks places like that for giggles. Food was ok, ordered pizza which I've eaten using cutlery, that was first time ever. Liked the venue, didn't expect they can create such a nice place under the arches: lot's of lights, nice décor, spacious. Tiramisu wasn’t fresh, watery so it was sitting in the fridge for long. It's quiet expensive, our bill was almost 80 quid but hey it's central London. I wouldn't recommend it for food, you want Italian, go to your local pizzeria, but as a venue it's fun with good vibrant and chilled out atmosphere.

The salmon starter with crab etc was delicious and a fairly sizable portion. Good quality salmon. For the main I had duck supreme and as you can tell from the photos it was awesome. Great flavour.
