The location was perfect for us, walking distance from Big Ben. The service was great and the breakfast is worth the extra. Very clean room and good size rooms. I do feel price is a little high but was worth it due to the location, service and good size and clean room.

The location is just PERFECT! Near the Big Ben, the London eye, Waterloo station and other things.
The staff is SUPER friendly, especially with kids.
The rooms are great (big and with a great view).
I has a mini kitchen with is very helpful to ear in.
The pizza at the hotel’s restaurant is one of the best I have ever eaten.
They have a sauna and a little gym.
I beyond recommend this hotel.

Location is top notch! Cant be beaten! I am sooo happy that we found this little gem! The room was a perfect size for 3 of us. The housekeeping was super duper friendly. We had breakfast atvthe mezzanine level and there was a huge selection. Very family friendly. But gets busy in the morning even with 3 lifts. Will come back again for sure!!!

Great location. The eye became our landmark to get home. Convenient to all areas by walking and Waterloo tube station was nearby. Perfect if you have luggage to cart around. M&S Food nearby. Good service. The rooms are a bit dated and the walls are just partitions so you can hear everything including your neighbours shutting their doors or even talking. Unfortunately one family who stayed on our floor had their kids next door who were very busy and not very considerate of anyone else. Was not the hotels fault however if you are a single person or couple who prefers quiet, I'd recommend somewhere else. The bathroom is also dated. For the price I suppose it's decent however you cab decide what's more important to your stay. The hotel menu is limited and very expensive. I'd rather visit the many places to eat or drink around the city. Enjoyed our stay overall.

Really a great location and the staff has been wonderful.
The provided breakfast is a buffet that gets the job done. Very convenient before you start your day.
Rooms are larger than I expected for London. Everything is nice and clean as well. I would stay here again.

Delicious for at a great place. The servers are very knowledgeable about stuff and when they recommend you something they don't just do it for the sake of recommending it but it's really delicious! The atmosphere is good and clean, but the jazz music can be a bit loud if you want to speak. So better to sit a bit further from the band playing. Overall would definitely recommend this place! 👍

Great food, atmosphere and staff! We had an awesome dinner of steak frites and field mushrooms with goat’s cheese. Dessert was amazing - the ice cream sundae was perfect as was the Cornish Brie.

At last found somewhere great to eat pre concert at Southbank.
Good menu, well presented quality good and great friendly service from professional staff.
Nice atmosphere and plan to return soon for some live jazz .
Really good find.

Really good music and location, but the food isn't as good as it once was. Vegan meze was nice but cheap ingredients. All the food was fine but obviously fairly basic ingredients.
Service could have been better a robot would have been friendlier. I think we were just unlucky with the waitress.
Music as always was great and the only reason we were there.

The restaurant gets very busy, and upon arrival, we were informed that there was a 90-minute seating time (which could be extended if needed).
We arrived during happy hour and ordered cocktails. They were good, though they could’ve been a bit stronger.
We had a chicken dish that we absolutely loved. The meat was tender and falling off the bone and the banana on the side was incredibly sweet and flavorful.
Service was good. Our server checked in with us regularly and made sure we had everything we needed.

Wonderful Cuban restaurant near our hotel. Love the music and atmosphere. Service is fast and friendly.
We started with some frozen lime cocktails which was so refreshing and lots of fresh lime juice.
Our party of four shared Mixed tapas vegetarian sharing plate and mixed tapas sharing plate (that had chicken tapas). I loved the plantains and the omelette. The falafel was my favorite.
My friend also had the Camarones crilollos which he really enjoyed.
Prices are very good here for the location.

Lovely place well situated. As a solo diner, I didn't feel rushed or ignored. Service by Tom was attentive and a special shout out to Danny for the unusual but delicious espresso martini!

A truly great dining experience. Querky, interesting and very delicious. The food is amazing. Great cocktails ( we had a Habana) and beer. Really interesting decor with lots of historical pictures. Great music. Nice friendly staff and very attentive. Oh and did I mention the food? Wow, beautifully balanced spices with tasty dips and sauces. We had a sharing platter and Prawns with rice and plantain. Sooo nice. Highly recommended by a retired chef. Enjoy.

As a Canadian NATO Soldier and Peacekeeper in Bosnia at the time in 2000, stayed here for a few days, with my wife. The staff were very kind and helpful. The location was amazing, close to tour buses at the Wellington Station. Would recommend any serving or retired Military member and spouse to stay here. Thanks to the Hotel staff for your service.

The perfect nights stay. My husband had stayed previously but it was the first time I had used the UJC. Everything was brilliant from start to finish. Very polite helpful staff, lovely clean room with everything you need, comfortable bed and very soft fluffy towels. Breakfast was an amazing choice and great value for money and the staff at breakfast also fantastic. Found the storage facility for bags and absolute godsend also and change facilities after being at a doo. Cannot wait to return.

I have stayed here three times, rooms are basic but clean and good bathrooms. Also frequently meet friends and family at Club for lunch.
However in recent months I have noticed changes as regards food, must have new staff in the catering side. The quality of the bar snacks has changed and the restaurant menu has remained the same for ages. The restaurant menu used to change monthly.

Union Jack Club is in an impressive location and it was extremely convenient to travel all over London, especially being so close to the Waterloo station. I came few hours before my check-in time and the hotel was so welcoming! They did not charge me extra for checking in early and they also have a secure luggage storage for personal who are either checking out or check-in really early.
I stayed in the single en-suite and the room is very small but the bathroom was really big. My location in the singles room was a little loud since the train station was right across but when I moved into the doubles room, it was definitely better!! Overall, I really liked the room. I do wish it had a mini refrigerator in the room. That’s probably my only complaint.

A special shout out to Katrina and Freddie who went above and beyond to make the whole experience excellent. Thank you so much we will definitely return. Tess - Training Manager of APC x

Wonderful Dining Experience at The Thames!
We had a truly fantastic meal at The Thames Indian restaurant recently and were so impressed with everything.
We started with the aloo shingara, which was absolutely delicious. For our main courses, we enjoyed a variety of dishes. The Tandoori Mixed Grill was a highlight, especially the lamb chop which was incredibly soft, tender, and full of flavour. We also thoroughly enjoyed the lamb biryani, Tarka Daal, and Lamb Balti. The naga chicken was fantastic and had that authentic naga flavour – just be warned, as our host kindly did, that it's extra spicy, so only order if you can truly handle the heat!
The bread selection was also excellent; both the garlic naan and the peshwari naan were amazing, with the peshwari having just the right amount of sweetness.
To finish, we indulged in the gulab jamun, which had a lovely, distinct cardamom flavour that we really liked, as well as the chocolate cake and chocolate ice cream.
A special mention goes to our host, Sab, who was especially helpful in recommending dishes and made our experience even better.
The service was great and the atmosphere was very pleasant. We highly recommend The Thames for a wonderful Indian meal and we can't wait to return.

A Hidden Gem Right Next to BPP University – Thames Restaurant
As a regular at Thames, I can confidently say this place is an absolute gem — especially if you’re studying at BPP University like I am. The food is consistently top notch, and honestly, I haven’t tried a single dish that didn’t hit the mark. Whether you’re in the mood for something vegetarian, non-vegetarian, or even vegan, their menu has something delicious for everyone.
Last time I had their Dal Makhani with rice, and it was beyond comforting — creamy, flavourful, and served piping hot. The portion sizes are generous and the plating is always neat.
A special shoutout to Robin, the manager, who always brings a warm smile and the best recommendations. His sense of taste is on point, and he never fails to suggest something delightful. The owner is equally welcoming and friendly, making the atmosphere even more inviting.
The interiors are clean, cozy, and perfect for both quick lunches and laid-back dinners. Whether you’re dining solo, with friends, or even bringing family, you really can’t go wrong with this place.
Love love this spot — 10/10 would recommend!

Incredible meal. I was here on a choir tour and wandered down with some friends. Service was friendly from the start. I ordered butter chicken with garlic naan and rice. The flavor did not disappoint! It was a filling and pleasant meal experience. The service refilled waters and checked in on us thoroughly during the meal and I plan to tell many people about this place. Top of the line restaurant in my book.

Went here with two friends quite late in the evening, but by the time we had touched the handle of the restaurant door, we were immediately greated by two lovely waiters. The food was really great. We all had butter chicken and butter/cheese nan with the pilao rice. The sauce was a little bit sweet for our liking, but still a good 8/10. The nan bread was amazing. We shared a bottle of white wine. Super friendly staff that checked up on us a lot. Over all, very happy with our visit.

I went out for dinner with my friend’s for my friends birthday on Saturday .The customer service was excellent. The pizza was great and the service was fast. We had a lovely waitress called Justiana. She was lovely she answered all our questions about the food that they offered. She even gave suggestions of what to order when we asked. She was smiling the whole time and has probably been the best waitress I have ever had. She saw my friend’s birthday badge and when we ordered dessert she came out with a candle and sang happy birthday to my friend. Such a lovely girl Will definitely recommend this pizza express.

Excellent service from Andrea on our visit (Sun 13/7) - we had a party member with allergies and Andrea handled this responsibly and proactively which was very reassuring. Her service was attentive and friendly and the food was excellent. We’re now members on the Pizza Express app and enjoyed our rewards and will return whenever we visit London. Thank you Andrea :)

As a school (42 children and 6 adults), we went and the service was fantastic. They were quick, efficient, polite & organised. The food was fantastic and not a single piece was left. A child in the group had her birthday and the waiter (im not sure of his name but he was incredible!) kindly organised a slice of cake with a candle to make the experience a memory! Would absolutely visit again!

Overall decent experience here. The outside seating is nice, but can be quite loud with the train stations above. The service was very lackluster, but common for London. The food was pretty good. I got the carbonara. We shared some desserts as well.

Very Nice location and friendly staff. We spent a nuce time in this restaurant. We stopped there for a quick lunch and ordered a pizza and one dish of spaghetti bolognese. The pizza was good, but the spaghetti was cooked too long.

I’ve visited Azzurro in Waterloo three times now, and each visit has been perfect. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a relaxed vibe that works for both family meals and get-togethers with good friends. The staff are always friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home. The food is consistently fantastic—whether it's their rich, flavorful pasta dishes or perfectly cooked pizzas, everything is fresh and beautifully presented. I’ve been here with family and friends, and it ticks both boxes: a great spot for a cozy family dinner or a fun, relaxed meal with friends. I can always count on them for an excellent experience. Highly recommend!

Staff are very nice so no fault on them but I had asked for the avocado to be replaced with olives and they removed tomatoes too and gave just a few olives and for £17 I think it was quite basic, although the flavour was quite nice.

Very good.
On the Tastecard they have 2-for-1 on all courses which makes it good value.
I got salmon risotto the taste was good. My friend got a beef burger he enjoyed it.
The atmosphere is nice inside. It is dimly lit which would be good for date nights.
They automatically applied the tastecard promotion without me having to ask again and didn't add any nasty additional charges at the end either.
I will be going to Azzurro again.

Highly recommended – we’ll definitely be back!

We had a great dinner at La Barca tonight. Our waiters Sergio and Luigi and others were great! The food was delicious. A lot of the staff is from Sardinia and everyone in our family enjoyed the food. The restaurant was recommended to us by a friend who has lived his entire life in the UK. We hope to return on our next trip to London. We would recommend the restaurant to couples, a family or even a business meal. The service and the food were worth the taxi fare from across the Thames.
If anyone is looking for Italian food in London we would recommend La Barca as it was recommended to us by a local friend.
They also took our reservation via email. They have indoor (air conditioned) and outdoor seating.

We came for a midweek lunch and shared the calamari fritti (the squid was a bit chewy and felt a bit undercooked as it wasn't crispy on the outside) and I had the linguine mare blue linguine which had prawns, scallops and sun dried tomatoes (large portion size and generous amount of seafood) but still felt expensive for what it was. The service was attentive and polite.

Went here for lunch last week. Only had a starter, main and still water.
Service was friendly and attentive and they looked after me well.
The salmon starter with crab etc was delicious and a fairly sizable portion. Good quality salmon.
For the main I had duck supreme and as you can tell from the photos it was awesome. Great flavour. Great texture. Great smell. Was a top top dish. Didn’t realise you could eat so well here. It was a real treat.
Will definitely go again.
