It was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. I cannot think a single complaint for this hotel. The food was amazing, the service was over the top and the hotel room was spotless. We were given the VIP of the day and it really just made the trip that much more special. Cannot recommend this hotel in the centre of London enough

Comfortable good sized rooms. Attentive staff. Breakfast option is definitely worth it. Not the prettiest immediate setting on the business-end of Waterloo station, but convenient to Westminster and the South Bank. Left luggage option is convenient. Would stay again.

Great location - you can travel to places easily. Rooms were spacious and comfy, views from rooms were also great. In the mornings it was getting busy on the elevators but other than that all perfect.

This was a great location with work. The rooms are nice and quiet. All facilities needed. Own room thermostat. So close the restaurants etc in Southbank. The walk by the river is beautiful at night with all the coloured lights reflecting. The breakfast selection was fantastic!
There is a sauna and steam room, but no pool or jacuzzi unfortunately. Looking at the website, we thought there was a sky bar, but the view was from one of the top floor apartments and the bar is low down , so it doesn't get the views.

Stayed at this hotel from 3/31-4/6. A little disappointed from the hotel. The room was ok. Walls were dirty, carpets are old and dirty. Tables were dusty and the sofa bed was awful. It squeezed very loudly when you moved around and was very uncomfortable to sleep on. My son had a backache sleeping in it during the duration of our stay. The restaurant downstairs was horrible. My son ordered a hot fudge cake which took 45 min to bring out. Every time we asked about the order they would say 5 minutes,. Finally a guy comes to our table and just said so sorry it is not our fault, we give the order ticket to the cook which apparently he forgot to make your dessert. Very unprofessional but we decided to give the restaurant another chance so two night later we went there and I ordered a Ceasar salad and into my second bit there was a metal pen cap in my salad. I was furious and the same guy came out and said, oh so sorry again. It’s understandable that this could easily happen cause the pen is right up the kitchen counter where the chef cooks and the cap was probably loose and fell in your salad. He made it sound like its not a big deal, things happen , which I understand accidents happen but they were not very accommodating afterwards. He even asked for my room number thinking they were going to make it up to us but nothing happened. Never going to that hotel again. The only good thing from that hotel was that the concierge staff which were friendly upon arrival.

Nice place for dinner. The food was good but seemed to vary based on what you got. The rotisserie chicken was a great value and amazing meal. Nice drinks and wine. They had live jazz that was enjoyable. Service was good but not above and beyond.

Unique experience dining under the railway track and having the place rumble ever once a while. It sort of help digest food a bit better. Joke aside, was there for a planned dinner for a party of 20ish and the order taken were accurate and well prepared. There were no mix up and the steak came at the right requested done-ness. Appetiser were good, except the prawn which were overly fried. The fillet steak can be slightly bigger perhaps as it doesn’t do justice to the experience. Dessert, well, there is always room for more.
Drinks were good with selections of local and foreign beer. A good place for group eat if planned ahead with the restaurant!

Food was good, starter we chose, 3 different humus was really tasty.. went at happy hour, so pleased with our extra drinks ! One wine was full of grunge, but staff were excellent, apologetic and quick to get a replacement one. Rest of food was tasty but not spectacular. It was quiet when we went, but I'm sure would have a great vibe when busy. Staff were very helpful and nice. Would go again..

If you’re looking for genuine Cuban food, look no more 👀. Cubana has, on my opinion, one the best Cuban food outside Cuba.
Visiting London, I thought of dropping by with a group of friends, hoping they will like my homeland food.
It was absolutely delicious, like the food your grandma will prepare for you. Yes at the level.
Well served and properly cooked.
Service was great, and believe me they were busy. I strongly advise to book a table before going there, otherwise you risk to queue outside.
I will definitely come back every time I can. Price wise it’s excellent value for money. Around £25 per person. Not bad for London.
I highly recommend going there if you wish to have something different than usual food.
Well done Chicos…

Visited tonight before seeing a show at The Old Vic. We both had the slow cooked beef with rice, black beans and plantain. It was all really tasty, service was prompt and the food very reasonably priced for central London, perfect portion size too. Cocktails were on 2 for 1 so we had a margarita and a sangria.
I am deaf and asked for a slightly quieter table so I could hear our conversation, Alex our waiter was super understanding and gave me a choice of tables, whichever would be best for me to be able to hear. It's a shame other restaurant staff aren't as understanding or accommodating as Alex was.
Only wish we lived closer to London or we'd Visit all the time.

Delicious food and cocktails, our server was very helpful, answering all our questions. Service was fast, even though it was a very busy Friday night.
We'll definitely be coming back!

Really good food. I am not sure how close the menu is to real authentic Cuban food as this was the first time I tried, but I really enjoyed it. Everything was leaning towards a sweet taste, which I liked.
The service was a little sloppy as we had to wait really long to catch the eye of a staff. The food did come out quickly.

First time of staying overnight, and sad to say it was disappointing. Good & bad to report. Firstly the bad, the room was SO hot, but we overlooked that, but not having a decent sleep was our main issue.
Room doors banging randomly during the night. Noisy pipework began at around 0600hrs and continued until we finally couldn't take anymore and got up early!
Along with the hot room, we just didn't sleep well at all and were both shattered the next day.
The good.
Cleanliness & food. Both were very good. Obviously being veterans, we love all thinks UJC and what it stands for.
Unfortunately however, we won't be staying overnight again, but may frequent the restaurant & bar. Travel Lodge in comparison is much better for a good night's sleep!
Over and out.

Amazing location, staff and service.
Our first time of using the Union Jack Club. Had an extended weekends stay last weekend and it did not disappoint. We will most certainly be back. Keep doing what you do, excellent customer service and welcoming reception.

Hotel is right in the heart of London, directly across the road from Waterloo. The location is fantastic.
However, upon check in the receptionist was more interested in her mobile phone messages than checking us in. Her phone was open on the desk and she was scanning and reading her messages whilst she processed our room cards. This for me is unprofessional.
The room is basic but fine. Views really good across London. Pillows lumpy bumpy and uncomfortable and the room was like a sauna. The cleaner hadn’t done a good job and a used sanitary towel had been left in the bin
The hotel communal areas were clean and well presented and the toilets downstairs clearly recently refurbished and were modern.
Yet to have breakfast as I’m awake during the night writing this as the heating generator is so loud I’ve had a terrible nights sleep.

London celebrates its culinary diversity and this is one of them.
Their dim sum's flavours aren't exactly what I called traditional or authentic, but their textures were superb. The dumpling and har gau skins were all fresh, chewy, and well made. The crust of their spring roll and cake were fried to perfection--crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. A harmonious balance of yin and yang. Great effort indeed!
Although the flavours aren't traditional, the taste is still delicious and creative at times.
All female members of staff (including the manager-looking lady and Aiswarya) were very attentive to customer needs when I was there; while, strangely, the male members never looked at my way when I needed something. No smile on their faces, neither.
For first timers, I recommend the set menu (available all day) to try.

Nice large restaurant. The service was pretty good and the food arrived quite quickly. The food was fairly standard, good but not as good as proper dim sum places, and a bit more expensive. I was not a fan of chicken and truffle dumpling, since it was truffle oil and not actual truffle.

5/5 place for me, would totally go again someday. I went with my boyfriend on Saturday after visiting the Royal Festive Hall. The place was in a convenient spot and we got seats even though it was about 30 minutes before closing. Ordering food is comfortable, staff lady was nice, didn't really wait long for my meal & drinks. Not the cheapest place around and definitely a bit loud inside but everything was absolutely delicious (Pictures of Chicken Katsu Curry and a Strawberry & Vanilla Iced Tea) 👍

Went for the half price dim sum and cocktail offer between 3-5pm weekdays.
Turns out only a small selection you can choose from and mainly dumplings.
Portions tiny.
Trying to get waiter's attention to serve us was not easy. Once ordered, the food took a while to arrive.
Food was mediocre but very very small portions.

This was my second time at a ping pong, but first time at the south bank one. We came here a couple of weeks back on a Sunday. Some of the dumplings were really delicious. Overall, I thought it was good. The service wasn’t great, I couldn’t telll if some of the staff were new or just didn’t know. We were on the lazy Sunday deal, and the waitress brought something to our table that we didn’t ask for and wasn’t included in the deal ( it was broccoli and it was delicious) . So it was quite annoying to be charged for those plates that we didn’t order but anyways, it was delicious! I still think it’s good for big dinners, just this time wasn’t the best experience.

Great kids pizza. Delicious pizzas for adults and an unrushed service, even on a very busy day. Totally brilliant staff who were running around making sure everyone was looked after.

Great atmosphere to chill and eat. The only downsides about this place is, they don’t seem to have enough waiters and waitresses. So you kind of have to wait for a while to even make an order. But the pizza was quick though. Took about 5 mins to come. The pizza was basic for the price tag. You can get better ones elsewhere.

Oh my goodness, this had to be the worst pizza and dinning experience I've had in a very, very long time.
Our mains were brought before our starters, had to ask where our starters were. When our mains came - the pizza was hard, the crust was burnt as you can see in the pictures. I made them aware and I got an apology. The service was terrible, our waitress was no where to be seen.
Nope would not go and dine here again.

Came here after going to the imax. The service was ok, although it took a lot to get there attention, and we were waiting for someone to come and seat us for ages. However, the food was very good, I tried the pesto doughballs and I highly recommend! Was a nice place to go after the cinema and I may come again at some point.

Nice venue, we ordered 2 pasta’s, the sauces were good, but the prawns in my pasta was tiny, it was definitely just shrimps. Service was ok but lacked attention to detail, the staff were talking to each other a lot, we had to get up to get attention a couple of times. Think this place would be good for drinks, not sure I’d eat there again.

visited this italian not knowing what to expect as we are typically pretty hard to please 100% as we absolutely love italians. this italian absolutely blew us away in the best way possible, we got the lasagna and spaghetti veneziana which were both cooked the absolute perfection. the garlic bread was also bloody lovely and tasted homeade!
the restaurant itself is SO SO beautiful the decor is very modern and classy, the staff are beyond accommodating and will go the extra mile with a smile on their face always

As far as 'Italian' places go, this one is ok.
I'm not Italian but visited with buddy who is and he always checks places like that for giggles. Food was ok, ordered pizza which I've eaten using cutlery, that was first time ever. Liked the venue, didn't expect they can create such a nice place under the arches: lot's of lights, nice décor, spacious.
Tiramisu wasn’t fresh, watery so it was sitting in the fridge for long.
It's quiet expensive, our bill was almost 80 quid but hey it's central London.
I wouldn't recommend it for food, you want Italian, go to your local pizzeria, but as a venue it's fun with good vibrant and chilled out atmosphere.
Damian Lubanski - a month ago
Nice experience. Starters and mains were ok, pizza was over cooked/hard, steaks were chewy, but I think the dessert was the best thing. In a party of 12 we were sat in a rather claustrophobic tunnel. And they forgot few of orders so some peoples starters came late and some peoples mains came late.

I like the atmosphere
Cozy place with historical themes
Food and prices you think it is high
But after you compare them with others in London
You will find they are average in price
And nice food in general

This is our favourite Italian in London so far. Excellent food, wine and good service. We enjoyed having lunch here will come back as we live locally. There is £2 coverage charge/person but you get good bread, bread sticks and nice Olives, also great olive oil and Balsamic vinegar.

Wonderful birthday dinner spent at this restaurant. They easily accommodated a group of 11 guests. Given its rating, we were pleased that the food quality met our already high expectations. The pasta portions are also on the generous side. The staff were attentive throughout the evening and eager to impress. The location, just several minutes walk to Waterloo Station was convenient for all. Would love to visit again to sample more of the menu! Would highly recommend the duck and mushroom pasta, but you can't go wrong with any!

Traveled here from the states and normally don’t post reviews but want to share our wonderful experience. What a great place for dinner before the show. Started with Bruschetta and my husband had Cotoletta di vitello milanese with pasta side and my entree was Pollo montebianco with Spinach side. We enjoy Cafe Lattes and Tiramisu. Absolutely fabulous!
