5 Star Rating Stayed here at the weekend and my daughter and I were kindly upgraded from the regular room to a suite style on the 12th floor overlooking the city. The receptionist who greeted us was very welcoming and gave my daughter a little activity bag. The room was lovely and spacious, had complimentary drinks on arrival and fabulous views through the floor to ceiling windows. Temperature control in the room was good and quiet, bed very comfy and slept well. Breakfast was good, great that kids eat free too, although they were a little over-zealous as they cleared our table and gave it to someone else as we went to grab another drink, but they found us another place to sit immediately and the host apologized for the mix up. We also ended up having dinner at the hotel - food was generally good, a bit overpriced though. Restaurant was pretty quiet at night with only a couple of tables occupied, the bar downstairs was a bit busier but a bit too loud with music for us. The location is great, just a short walk to Westminster, London Eye etc. On the whole an enjoyable stay and would stay again.

5 Star Rating What an experience, fantastic location, superb view and brilliant service. Upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary upgrade to the Penthouse room on the 14th Floor. The views from this room were sublime. My wife and boys really enjoyed spending time on the balcony and enjoyed the night time view and the morning sunrise. We were attending a family event at the Savoy, which was only a 20 min walk so location was great. We managed to have a morning stroll to see the attractions. The buffet breakfast was great albeit a little busy between 8-9:30 so I would advise go there early. We really enjoyed our stay and can’t thank the staff enough, in particular the nighttime staff who worked on the 7th of February (I forgot her name) very accommodating. Parking we used the Britannia car park which was a 3 minute walk from the hotel, very secure and convenient only £25 for 24 hours. . Thank you again and we’ll definitely stay here again.

4 Star Rating A bit worn out but clean. Super helpful staff. Quite good breakfasts. Good location- walking distance to attractions. Very quiet! If only rooms and equipment were less damaged it would have been excellent. On the other hand price would be higher then.

5 Star Rating Excellent service at this very well located hotel. It was valentines weekend, and because I’m a VIP member, the hotel treated us to a lovely bottle of Prosecco, chocolates, strawberries and this wonderful towel sculpture on the bed :) very romantic. My partner was very impressed. We had also been upgraded to a junior suite. The room was nice, comfy and very clean and quiet. I got a good sleep. The breakfast wasn’t so good - but typical of a Park Plaza. The plates were cold. The food had been sat there a while - I went down at 7.40 on Friday. The bacon was well done and sausages were ok. The yoghurt was strangely runny and served in a giant pump. Not seen that before and wouldn’t expect to see that for a hotel that charges the rates it does. They do eggs to order - which was a bonus. However the omelette wasn’t well presented and disintegrated. Staff were very friendly over all and we got a very warm welcome on check in. 5 stars because we got the bonus valentines touches which was lovely but really it’s just 4 stars because the hotel rates are expensive and the breakfast doesn’t reflect the rate.

4 Star Rating Great location, we felt it was quite a small room for the price £323 for one night, but guess that's December prices. Not a nice view from the room . The bath with shower over was high to step into. The shower system looked old and worn. The room was nice and quiet as requested. It was bright outside and the curtain hook had broken at one end so the curtains let in a bright strip of light. The Aircon was very efficient. Mini fridge, kettle tea, coffee provided. Ice machine in the hall. We didn't eat at the hotel as we had plans. But breakfast is £20p if you book with the hotel the day before or £25 on the day. Nearby sidings has lots of eateries. Witherspoon's Lion & Unicorn has a super fast service with a 6-7 minutes wait before food is on your table. Brewdog and Nandos.

4 Star Rating We went for a dinner to The Archduke with 7 people. The staff was okay-friendly but not very welcoming, just okay. The atmosphere is very nice, there is a huge glass wall upstairs where we had our table. As per feedback from my colleagues the food was great, I think just me was a bit unhappy with the chicken in my Cesar salad. The chicken was cold, dry and I could barely cut it. I ordered mushrooms on the side and a soup which were amazing. Also the espresso martini in the end was very delicious.

5 Star Rating The best Jazz !! The place is fascinating!! Excellent food, accompanied by live music with a sensational Jazz Group. But the most fascinating thing is being in a place that had a highly positive reputation in the past, because during World War II, people sought refuge there from attacks. Imagine the positive energy of feeling good in a place that saved hundreds of lives.

4 Star Rating Generally really good, authentic food. Great vibes and service! My one fussy complaint - The rice had a distinct texture/taste of seemingly boil-in-a-bag plain white rice and I think that let the overall dish down.

4 Star Rating At the end of Lower Marsh street, Cubana has a large inside and covered outside sitting area. We ordered a Cubano sandwich and the Mixed tapas sharing plate, which came with: - a dressed small salad with tomatoes, onions, bell pepper, and greens - pollo frito con sesamo, a fried chicken cutlet with side of salsa - falafel cubana, like a savory hush puppy or chickpea fritter - pincho de pollo y chorizo, a skewer of marinated chicken, chorizo (more like a yummy meatball), grilled onion, grilled peppers My favorites were the skewer and the battered and fried chicken cutlet. The chicken was well seasoned and cooked perfectly so it was juicy.

2 Star Rating Stayed here many times before. But this time we had two evening meals in the restaurant. Both were marred by other customers. The first night a group of males were at a near table. One was obviously drunk and very loud. Swearing in almost every sentence. Staff did nothing about it even though there were women and children there. The second night a couple was eating there but allowed their child to run around the restaurant like it was a playground. He was climbing over the seats even hitting staff but nothing was said to the parents. When we complained to staff, we were told they could do nothing about it. It spoiled what would have been a lovely stay.

5 Star Rating Fantastic room rates for central London. It’s a military, member club, upon booking you know what type of room you’ll get, but in terms of hotel, it’s great. Staff are attentive, food is great, beer is super cheap for Zone 1. Accommodation is exactly as expected; it is not a general hotel…a single room with en suite is exactly that, don’t expect a sofa! The rooms as advertised do exactly what is needed; for those expecting a luxurious hotel, you can head over the road and pay their rates, but this is probably the best Service (private) club in London.

5 Star Rating Wonderful Dining Experience at The Thames! We had a truly fantastic meal at The Thames Indian restaurant recently and were so impressed with everything. We started with the aloo shingara, which was absolutely delicious. For our main courses, we enjoyed a variety of dishes. The Tandoori Mixed Grill was a highlight, especially the lamb chop which was incredibly soft, tender, and full of flavour. We also thoroughly enjoyed the lamb biryani, Tarka Daal, and Lamb Balti. The naga chicken was fantastic and had that authentic naga flavour – just be warned, as our host kindly did, that it's extra spicy, so only order if you can truly handle the heat! The bread selection was also excellent; both the garlic naan and the peshwari naan were amazing, with the peshwari having just the right amount of sweetness. To finish, we indulged in the gulab jamun, which had a lovely, distinct cardamom flavour that we really liked, as well as the chocolate cake and chocolate ice cream. A special mention goes to our host, Sab, who was especially helpful in recommending dishes and made our experience even better. The service was great and the atmosphere was very pleasant. We highly recommend The Thames for a wonderful Indian meal and we can't wait to return.

5 Star Rating We had a truly wonderful experience at this authentic Indian restaurant. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed. The owner was incredibly friendly and took all the time needed to walk us through the menu, explaining the dishes with great passion and patience, especially since we were not very familiar with Indian cuisine. That personal touch made a huge difference and immediately put us at ease. When the food arrived, we were blown away. The portions were extremely generous, beautifully presented, and above all, absolutely delicious. Every dish was full of rich, authentic flavors and clearly prepared with care and expertise. This is the kind of place where you don’t just come to eat, but to enjoy a full experience. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for genuine Indian food, outstanding hospitality, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. We will definitely be back! Nico & Nadia

5 Star Rating What a fantastic experience and unbelievable customer service. We had very special requirements due to our daughter having a complex operation the following day meaning she could only eat liquid style food. The staff could not have done enough for us, they worked with the chef's to ensure she had a sauce with lots of flavour to enjoy and no solid food in. This made a stressful period very enjoyable and we are eternally grateful.

5 Star Rating Azzuro, conveniently located next to Waterloo station, is a perfect stop if you need to catch a train later. The service was lovely and friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. We started with an outstanding antipasti for two, then enjoyed beautifully cooked seabass that was really delicious. Desserts were a treat: the apple pie and tiramisu were both excellent. The cocktail selection is strong and tasty. Cozy atmosphere, great food, and reliable service, definitely will be back.

4 Star Rating An uneven yet enjoyable dining experience. The starters were the clear highlight: outstanding fish dishes and exceptionally good spare ribs, full of flavor and perfectly prepared. The main courses, while decent, lacked the final push to truly impress and felt somewhat underwhelming in comparison. Attentive service ensured a smooth evening, even if the kitchen’s strengths clearly lay in the starters. The already included 20%tip on the bill was surprising.

5 Star Rating If you are looking for classy tasty Italian dishes, this is the place to go! You don't have to travel to Italy just for the food. I am from Switzerland and visit Italy every month serval times, please trust me. I recommend to start with antipasto, primi and secondo. If you are only two or three, just share the plate! Batutta meta wit truffels, and the spicy gambas is just great! The Spaghetti Barca a must! The Nodino did Vitello just a melting dream (soft veal T-Bone)! Also the selection of Italian wines ist great and with reasonable prices. We had the rosé Franciacorta 61' sparkling wine from Berlucchi (Champagne méthode) and a Salice Valentino from Apuglia with Negro Amaro grapes fruity, dry and smooth The desert menue is just heaven! (and I am not into deserts). Limoncello was on the house, fruity and not sticky (frozen glasses would be the crown)
