We had a fantastic experience at St. Stephen's Tavern! The location is absolutely amazing, with outdoor seating directly facing Big Ben. It's the perfect place to enjoy a drink, have a delicious meal, and take in one of London's most iconic views. A special thank you to Jaff, who was incredibly friendly and welcoming. He found us a wonderful outdoor table and made us feel truly welcome. His excellent service made our visit even more memorable. If you're visiting London, St. Stephen's Tavern is a must. Great atmosphere, great food, outstanding service, and an unbeatable view. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful experience here! The atmosphere is amazing, especially with the incredible view of Big Ben. The food and drinks were great, but what truly made our visit special was the outstanding service from Jaff. He was welcoming, friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely valued from start to finish. Thank you, Jaff, for making our visit so memorable. Unbeatable location, right across the street from Big Ben, which makes it a very convenient stop after walking around Westminster. The place has that classic English tavern feel you would expect, but during our visit there was no music or real atmosphere, which took away some of the energy and overall experience. One important thing to note is that the menu was very limited, with only about four items available. That said, the fish and chips was truly delicious, very well prepared and served with a sauce that really elevates the dish. The mulled wine was also very good, perfect for the London weather. The service was good and polite, but considering the prime location and iconic concept, it could definitely be warmer and more engaging to fully match the setting. Overall, it is worth visiting for the location and a solid fish and chips, but there is clear room to improve both the atmosphere and the service to live up to where it is located.

We stopped into The Red Lion in London for lunch, and it was very good! The outside was so beautiful and inviting, we had to try it. The restaurant/pub had a warm, inviting atmosphere. We were seated right away and ordered a burger, which came with red coleslaw and French fries. The burger was cooked well and was delicious. The French fries were just as good. The restaurant was clean, and although busy, the staff was attentive and friendly. A shout-out to Ellis, who was our hostess, server, and even our tour guide all in one! He went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and made our experience even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a great burger in London with excellent service and a welcoming atmosphere, The Red Lion is definitely a place to visit!

Wow! Such a great place to end our day of touring the area. We were seated right away with our reservation in an upstairs dining room. Joseph made our visit wonderful with suggestions and even a great beer to try. We had a large party of 9 with teens to seniors and we had a wonderful time. We tried the pie sampler, fish and chips, Caesar salads, scotch eggs. Everything was delicious and hit the spot.

The gentleman at the entrance wasn’t particularly welcoming, but it wasn’t enough to stop us from going in. The ground floor had a nice, lively pub atmosphere and was quite busy and noisy. We had our meal upstairs, though, and the experience there was excellent. The atmosphere was beautiful and much quieter, and the staff were very friendly and attentive. We tried a few different pies along with beer and a gin cocktail, and everything was delicious. Overall, a very enjoyable experience and definitely worth a visit!

Sunlight streaming through the windows enhances everything, giving the whole place a golden, inviting tone. Now to the food, this is where it really shines. The fish and chips is exactly what you hope for when ordering this British classic. The batter is beautifully crisp and golden, light rather than greasy, with a satisfying crunch that gives way to perfectly flaky, tender fish inside. The chips are thick-cut and well-seasoned, pairing perfectly with the freshness of the lemon wedge. The tartar sauce adds a creamy, tangy balance, and the mushy peas complete the dish in a traditional and comforting way. It’s simple, but executed at a very high level. The crispy beef brisket bites are a standout in their own right. The exterior is deeply crisp with a rich, caramelised coating, while the inside remains juicy and full of flavour. We had a group of eight with a 17-hour layover in London, so we only had a short amount of time to explore. We all wanted to try fish and chips. The fish and chips were fantastic, and all eight of us agreed that we would love to go back again. The restaurant was also incredibly accommodating. They had just opened, and I called a few minutes before opening to let them know our group would be coming in. They told us they could seat us in the downstairs bar area, which worked perfectly for us. We loved how quick and convenient everything was—we were able to order, pay at the bar, and enjoy our meal without wasting any of our limited time in London.

We held our wedding at One Great George Street in February this year and overall found the venue itself to be stunning. The events team were helpful throughout the planning process, and the venue made for a lovely setting for our day. However, I do think it’s important for prospective couples to be aware that catering is provided through a list of recommended suppliers. Unfortunately, our experience with our chosen caterer (Blackstone) fell well below our expectations. We experienced a number of service issues on the day, including agreed menu items being substituted without notice, drinks service ending earlier than expected while guests were still arriving, issues with food replenishment, and bottled water being refilled with tap water during the reception. After the wedding, we raised these concerns directly with the caterer in writing. Despite allowing time for a response and trying to resolve matters professionally, we were unable to obtain a substantive written response. We also raised our concerns with the venue, who initially acknowledged the matter and advised they would investigate. Unfortunately, we did not receive any further update. I appreciate that venues cannot control every aspect of a third-party supplier’s service on the day. However, when suppliers are recommended to couples, I do think it’s important that concerns raised afterwards are seen through to a conclusion. We still have many happy memories of our wedding, but I hope this feedback helps prospective couples ask questions about supplier arrangements and gives the venue an opportunity to review how post-event concerns are handled.

Working with Letticia was a dream!!!! She and her team were so professional and courteous. They catered to every demand and request we had. The venue was so beautifully decorated, with all the vendors working well and efficiently to ensure that the wedding was epic!!! Despite the long hours, Leticia ensured that we were well accommodated. The bride and groom and their guests had so much fun. I definitely recommend this venue for your weddings, special events, and occasions.

A great option for eating or having a drink without leaving the museum and continuing your visit. The menu is quite limited, but the food is very good. They don't serve beer. The staff is very attentive and friendly, including one who speaks Spanish and helps with choices.
