We stopped here for some cold beers and fish and chips. Sitting outdoors gave us a great view of Big Ben, which made the experience even better. We tried a hazy IPA and a stout—both were excellent and very enjoyable. The fish and chips, however, weren’t the best. Overall, the service was good and quick.

I went there last Friday and had the most amazing British pub experience in London. The biggest thanks goes to the wonderful bartender, Karolaine — she truly turned my day around with her kindness, energy, and great service. She made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in and went above and beyond to make sure I had a great time. I’ll definitely be coming back, and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a genuine, warm, and unforgettable pub experience.

I love this place. This is my first time in London and the service was great. Jon was amazing. He was so pleasant and very knowledgeable. Even helped with directions so that we can continue to create memories here. The house lager was good. Oh, and the food was great here. It came out hot, perfectly seasoned and delicious. I would definitely come back here!

We had a delicious fish and chips and sausage and mash. Wonderful crispness and flavor! Thanks Izabella for the suggestions!
Yummy beer too with a quaint atmosphere. Just perfect for the first night in London!

This is a really cool place to go for a drink. Right next to Big Ben, you can enjoy a refreshing pint with a view. The service was good, the atmosphere was fantastic, and it didn't break the bank. Highly recommended!

The Red Lion is everything you want in a classic London pub — lively, welcoming, and buzzing non-stop with energy. We popped in for a few beers, and the place was absolutely packed, which only added to the authentic atmosphere.
Though we didn’t try the food this time, it looked fantastic — hearty, classic pub fare that had plenty of hungry locals and tourists coming back for more. The vibe was unmistakably genuine, with a warm, traditional feel that makes you want to settle in.
The standout, though, was the bartender — absolutely darling and so friendly, making the whole visit feel personal and inviting despite the busy crowd.
If you’re near Parliament and want a proper London pub experience with great drinks, friendly faces, and nonstop buzz, The Red Lion is definitely worth a visit. Five stars for atmosphere and service alone!

We loved the Red Lion! We were there for lunch on a Friday & the place was packed, but the waitress was absolutely amazing & did her best to see that everyone was accommodated & happy. She was so friendly & helpful.
The pub itself is beautifully restored & has an incredible history to it.
Food was very tasty with generous portions. We didn't have the fish & chips. However, from those that we saw- the serving of fish was absolutely huge!
Definitely recommend this quintessentially English pub.

The Red Lion Pub is a must-visit destination for anyone in the area, especially if you’re looking for a traditional and casual experience. Established in the 1400s, the pub exudes historical charm, and this is evident as soon as you step inside. The dining room is located upstairs, where we enjoyed lunch twice during our visit—proof that the food is both delicious and worth returning for. The pub also offers a selection of excellent beers, making it a perfect spot to unwind. Given its quality and atmosphere, we’re confident that the Red Lion will become one of our favorite places to stop by whenever we’re in the area. Additionally, its location in the heart of London, near key landmarks related to the English government, makes it an even more appealing choice for both locals and tourists alike.

My wife and I always stop at the Red Lion when we travel to London, it's right across the street from the Prime Minister's residence at #10 Downing Street and has been a favorite haunt of British politicians for generations.
Above the bar is the bell which calls MP's and Lords back to Parliament for votes or other procedures. A classic English pub with an extensive history dating back to 1434, and was one of countless London pubs where the notorious drinker and sometimes author, Charles Dickens, was reported to have visited.
We visited on Remembrance Day and Westminster was full of soldiers and sailors in uniform. As a US Navy veteran who sometimes operated with the Royal Navy, it was my pleasure to buy pints for an impressive and professional group of young RN sailors and regale them with stories of the Cold War and my memories of shore leave with the sailors of the HMS Yarmouth back in the 80's.

Working with Letticia was a dream!!!! She and her team were so professional and courteous.
They catered to every demand and request we had. The venue was so beautifully decorated, with all the vendors working well and efficiently to ensure that the wedding was epic!!!
Despite the long hours, Leticia ensured that we were well accommodated.
The bride and groom and their guests had so much fun.
I definitely recommend this venue for your weddings, special events, and occasions.

Superb food, drink and atmosphere. Was fortunate enough to be invited and it did not disappoint. The room is steeped in history, if only the walls could talk! I'd love to return.

A beautiful setting that takes you into a big part of our countries history. The setting does seem old and a little stuffy but I think that's part of the charm. The restaurant itself is nice enough and the food and service is brilliant. If you get a chance to go it really is a must.

Very good option to be able to eat or drink something without having to leave the museum and be able to continue with the visit. The menu is quite limited in terms of options, but the food is very good. They don't serve beer. Very attentive and friendly staff, with a person who speaks Spanish and helps you choose.
