4 Star Rating Great character. Small place, packed in. Air con on made it cold, myself and table neighbours had our coats on, and it warmed up after 2.5hrs. Nothing exciting to eat for vegetarians. Very exciting for for omnivores. Singer and band were out of this world, boy can they play well together.

5 Star Rating My wife and I spent the evening of my birthday at SMOKE Jazz Club. We were visiting NYC from SLC, Utah, where there are no Jazz clubs that can compare. The entire experience, the food, the service, the atmosphere, and of course the music, was perfect! We paid about $50 each for seats at the stage. I was initially annoyed to see that we were also required to order an entree once we were seated. There are so many other amazing food venues in the city that I wanted to try. But when the entrees came, I was not let down. The lambchops were 5 star delicious! And my wife loved the fried chicken. They had a decent selection of single malt whiskeys, with some Japanese and domestic offerings. And the bartender made the best lemon drop martinis we have ever had. We ate good and drank like we didn't have to drive that night or work the next day. And we were spirited away by the musings of a Jazz quintet featuring George Coleman on Tenor Sax, Carl Allen on drums, Peter Bernstein on guitar, John Webber on bass, and Michael Weiss on piano. The group blazed through a master class set. And George at almost 90, just dazzled us. He took us to school and then to church and made it all so much fun. Our night at SMOKE Jazz Club was a dream come true for me!

5 Star Rating Incredible evening! Had the most amazing night sitting right behind Bill Charlap, the famous Jazz pianist. Seriously, luck was on our side! An hour just flew by as we soaked in his awesome tunes. It was like time had its own rhythm, and we couldn't believe our luck to be part of such a cool experience. We came back for more jazz on May 25 and we enjoyed thoroughly.

5 Star Rating Great evening at one of New York's better jazz clubs. It was their 25th anniversary and I've been coming here most of those 25 years. Music: George Coleman, the great saxophonist who played with Miles (and others). Wish I'd seen him in the '60s, but at 89 he's still an outstanding player. Equally good was Joe Farnsworth, about the best jazz drummer playing today. 2 thumbs 👍 Highly recommended

3 Star Rating Honestly beyond disappointed the place has a long wait you would imagine the food would be amazing but no, the A la brasa chicken taste weird has a aromatic flavor which isnt for everyone, the menu is pricey and not really worth it, atleast the drinks are strong , but the place is very fast Paced, you will have no peace people constantly passing by you, and staff trying to get you in and out to seat more people its A MESS ! I will not be coming back

3 Star Rating While the food at this establishment is undoubtedly delicious, I was greatly disappointed by the treatment of the staff by the supervisor. Witnessing the supervisor publicly scolding the waiters for a minor mistake, such as providing bread to a table twice, was disheartening and completely unnecessary. This negative experience significantly detracted from an otherwise enjoyable dining experience.

4 Star Rating The food was good, not a bad price. Still caught me off guard that the plate of Broccoli was as almost as much as the half chicken. I really like the variety of the menu and the presentation of the food. My friend and I were grateful that this place was open on Christmas, but the restaurant was cold. It probably sat around 40°F. I wondered "Where is the warmth? It is below freezing outside." I asked the waiter if they served hot water, he just laughed and said "no". Now I thought he was joking so I laughed a little as well... But he never did come back with that hot water. Other than that the service was pretty quick and also respectful. Anyway as it turns out all of the heat was concentrated to the front of the restaurant where most of the staff set up.

5 Star Rating Food was fantastic, I love the different the culture mix between Asian and Peruvians dishes. The drinks were great, had the house made lemonade and strawberry lemonade. We went for the Lomo saltado which was amazing. Service was great, I had to stop drinking water because every time I drank from the cup, the waiter would fill. The atmosphere was ok, a little noisy but that’s understandable for the time of place it is. Highly recommended for a delicious Lomo Saltado.

5 Star Rating Loved loved this place. It was my first time getting Ethiopian food and I thought it was amazing. Got the veggie platter and the spices/seasoning was soo good. The combo together was delicious- really loved the beets complementing the chickpea mix. Everything was wrapped in a type of bread/wrap which has a kind of grainy texture but is very complementary. Got this for take out and 100% would get again. Large portion as we had it for 2 meals.

4 Star Rating The rumors are true: best HH in the neighborhood. It’s not even debatable. The food is solid. Items that are on replay: sardines, any of the muscles, the burger, calamari… there’s more, but the martinis have my memory pause. Adult beverages are solid, especially the martinis @ HH. It’s the truth, baby Ruth. Desserts are mid. Eat another appetizer, instead. Life is too short for mid food and your stomach is too small, choose wisely.

5 Star Rating Went there for Mother’s Day brunch with our little one in a stroller. We had a reservation and did not have to wait. They were very accommodating; they went above and beyond to find us a table that would allow us to sit next to our baby in the stroller. The food and service were great. I had the croque madame and my spouse had the classique Benedict. We also split a creme brulee. We also had a few cocktails and they were all great. The prices were also very reasonable! Would definitely recommend

4 Star Rating I like the atmosphere at this French bistro and the food is surprisingly good. Note there is a French attitude towards service here even though we're on the UWS. They don't respond well to any modifications or special requests - forget about any issues you have with your order. If you stick to French classics and don't ask for anything special you should be good 👌 and it's an enjoyable meal.

2 Star Rating I'm originally from NY, but have moved to NC. I came back for my grandson, who had heart surgery across the street and was hoping for some really good pizza. This place didn't disappoint - it was really good! What I do have a problem with is bait and switch. Online prices are given, and when you walk in, the prices above, on the board match. I ordered, and what should have been $12+tax, turned out to be $18+tax. When I asked the girl at the register who, "only works here", she added that the actual prices are in their take away menu stacked on the counter. She also added that it was brought up weeks ago by another customer, and it's up to the owners to change the pricing and address the issue, not her. I have no problem with paying for anything that is clearly stated by the establishment whatever it is that they charge. As a consumer, we make choices based on how much, and do we want it? There are hundreds of pizza places - WHY NOT be diligent and up front with your customers? It's deception and poor business. Pizza, good. Pizzeria and customer service, not so good. If ever back in the city, I'll spend my hard earned money on another place that has more integrity and honesty. ☆And, girl at the register, MAYBE suggest patrons look at the actual menu on the counter that's next to the register, with current pricing, and not at the above the counter and online pricing. You work there, do your job!
