Yankee Stadium
Yankee Stadium is the famous home of the New York Yankees
Yankee Stadium is so well known, and with good reason. With a history going back to 1923 it is home of the New York Yankees Baseball team.
Out with the old and in with the new - Yankee Stadium has been replaced with the 2009 opening of a brand new version right across the street from the original. The new stadium is built to closely reflect the design and feel of both the original and renovated 1923 stadium, however the interior offers a more modern ballpark with increased space and amenities and wider concourses.
While visiting Yankee Stadium you can also check out the Yankees Museum in the lower level where you can view an extensive collection of memorabilia from the New York Yankees. The stadium does offer tours and they an be booked ahead online at a discount.
The stadium also presents many choices for eating with 25 fixed and 112 mobile concession stands, a Hard Rock Cafe at the entrance and NYY Steak nearby.

Awesome Experience!! I drove into the city. It was pretty easy getting there n no traffic. I parked directly across the street at 161 parking. The entrance to stadium was organized and fast flowing in!! THE FOOD?!! OMGGGGG THE FOOD!!! WOW ABSOLUTELY fantastic choices!! I opted for the steak sandwich with cheese n onions from LOBELS!! OMGGGGG NOT ONE SMIDGEN OF FAT OR CRUMB TO BE HAD!!! It was DELICIOUS!! I had the taramisu in the baseball hat. And because of the seats that I purchased, we were able to go in three separate lounges, which had food and bars full bars. There is also the one lounge where we were able to get all the coffee, hot tea, hot chocolate, all the non alcoholic beverages for free. And as much as we wanted. And snacks too!! The stadium was in spick and span shape. Really very clean. Lots of armed police and security. The one thing that I really liked was there was ample and I mean, ample places to go get food desserts shakes drinks alcohol, hot dogs, etc....Wonderful experience! Leaving the stadium was lickedy split. We exited out the door walked across the street, got into our car, started it up, pulled out and left. Zero traffic. Can't wait to go again

First time arriving early to Yankee Stadium for a giveaway, and it completely changes the experience.
If you’re planning to attend a Yankees game during a giveaway day, you need to arrive very early. I didn’t realize this when I bought my tickets, but these events are extremely popular. Giveaways are limited and only handed out when gates open, so timing is everything.
In my case, the game started at 7 PM, but I took a train around 2 PM from Tarrytown via the Hudson Line to 153rd Street–Yankee Stadium. I arrived and got in line around 3:30 PM. Even then, there were already long lines forming at different gates.
Gate 4 (main entrance) was very crowded, but you can try other gates if you want shorter lines. They actually opened the stadium earlier than expected due to the crowd, and by around 5 PM we were entering and receiving the giveaway (a Yankees hockey-style jersey, which was worth it).
Once inside, there’s plenty to do before the game:
* Walk through the Yankees history area (with legends like Babe Ruth)
* Visit the official team store (very expensive, but interesting to explore)
* Enjoy the food areas (a must for the full experience)
If you’re on a budget, the Pinstripe Pass is a great option (standing access with food areas), sometimes as low as $10. I personally sat in Section 313 for around $80, which felt like a great value for having a seat.
A few practical tips:
* Use sunscreen if you’re arriving early
* Go to the bathroom before lining up
* Expect lines everywhere (food, bathrooms, entry)
* Bring something to wear in layers
* Avoid rainy days unless you have covered seating
Also, wearing Yankees gear really enhances the experience. If you don’t have any, you can find affordable options at places like Target or Walmart.
Overall, this felt like a true local New York experience. The energy is completely different when the team wins, and being surrounded by fans makes it even better. Definitely worth it if you plan it right.

Our seats were great, 206. A bit awkward to get to but overall, a good time was had by all. I used my master card and got a liter of soda which was a nice surprise. We went on a very cold day but still had fun. We parked right across from gate 8 in the lot, $45 or so. Nothing crazy.
