3 Star Rating The service was definitely great. Fast and friendly staff. They deserved the 18% priced-in gratuity. (I usually disagree with priced in, but they were worth it) The food was 6/10 at best. I ordered a medium-well T-bone that ended up being served medium anyway. The meat itself was lacking any seasoning and required a hefty amount of salt on each cut of meat. (And I am salt sensitive, so that should tell you something) It was also difficult to both cut into and to chew. This means that either the quality of meat was poor, the chef didnt know how to cook it, or both. The steak could have also had some char/ sear but didnt. I cook better steaks myself and im not a chef by any standard, nor do I have the facilities that a restaurant does. The fries were okay and I didnt touch the bread, but it did look good. The whiskey sour was watery. Theyre supposed to knock you on your a* so you crave another one. LoL The ambiance was okay. More akin to a TGI Fridays than say, Gallaghers. The female staff were all extremely good-looking and im a 30 year old athlete myself. If you want to go out and enjoy a steak but on a budget, this is a solid choice but I dont think i'll be returning.

5 Star Rating I went here for a holiday dinner w work friends. The outside is festive with lights and decorations. The inside was also very happy. The service was polite and consistent. They helped my coworker figure out a dish. The food was top notch. Big portions, tasty sauces and sides and meat was cooked to perfection. I got the filet mignon and had no issue finishing it off. It was super tasty. The drinks were also good 👍 recommend it for sure. Oh I almost forgot they play good up beat music and if it's your bday there's sparklers,!!

5 Star Rating My sis have always wanted to come here but wasn’t able to get in because it was always booked, so make your reservations in advance. We called on a whim one Thursday evening and was able to get it. Service is top tier! Food portions are large. The servers took our orders right away and our glasses were constantly filled with water, I didn’t have to ask. They have a live DJ that was playing all the Jams. This place is a must! Whether it’s a date night or out with your friends, I highly recommend this place 10/10.

5 Star Rating The garlic bread was absolutely perfect! Warm, nice crisp, buttery and garlic to match! Liked the choice of tap or sparkling water. Choose the sparkling! Our waiter was very attentive and I informed. The calamari was fresh, lightly breaded and fried to perfection. I had the surf and turf. The filet was done and melt in your mouth soft. The spinach was a bit soggy and drowned in the mashed potatoes. However the spinach gave a mild garlic flavor to the potatoes making the delight. The shrimps were done and still soft. However no distinguishing flavor. It was a beautiful night at a beautiful spot!

4 Star Rating Let me say this is one of the best experiences I ever had in the restaurant: I felt so much like home there . I started the year with a great experience when I decided to go to this restaurant to celebrate my mom on one the coldest day in Jan 2024 and May I add I’m glad I trusted my gut . The lady and gentleman working there was so accepting and accommodating of me being late . Long story it was empty , clean and the food was excellent. I would encourage you to try their drinks which was strong and good ; the sauce for the bananas was amazing . I can’t wait to visit again . I felt a lot of culture and that is what we want , hidden gem Trust me if you went to just get wings on their happy hours I’m sure you will not be disappointed but even a romantic dinner would be just as successful

5 Star Rating Randomly walked in yesterday and this place is really cool. Very nice vibe and not too overwhelming. I was craving a sandwich and when I found out they infact did have the Cuban sandwich on the menu, (my favorite sandwich), I had to get it. This was my favorite Cuban Sandwich I've ever had. Major points to them because when I've had Cuban Sandwiches from other places, something was off each time. This one was so good from the portion size to the bread texture and flavor combination. My server was Daniela and she was amazing. She was kind, sweet and really knew what she was doing. She also made some delicious classic Mojitos that were on their happy hour menu (from 12-7pm). I'm not typically in Harlem but if I am in that area again, I'm definitely going there. One thing to note though. If you're the type that typically pays for your meals using smart pay, they don't accept that yet so make sure you plan accordingly and bring classic payment methods. Overall for my first time: A

My husband had a skirt steak that was done perfectly medium rare and its blue cheese sauce was very tasty. I ordered a branzino that was crispy and delicious. The atmosphere was very lively with two women guitarists who were awesome players and lovely voices accompanied by fantastic drummer. We were fully satisfied and decided we must come back again👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

4 Star Rating It was a long, eventful rollercoaster of day... desperately in need of some sustenance, we looked for a spot in route to our final destination. With one of my favs, we decided to visit Amor Cubano, based on a found memory of their champagne mojitos. It was a cold Saturday night in January and all the stars aligned. We pulled and found parking right outside the door. We entered and was seated immediately without reservation even though it was crowded and the first week of NY restaurant week. We perused both the regular and restaurant week menu. In an attempt to keep it simple we went the regular menu and ordered everything at once. Of course two champagne mojitos and empanadas to start. For entrées, we went with Arroz Con Pollo (for me) and Churrasco- grilled skirt steak (for my partner in crime). Customer service was good, food came quick and hit the spot. We enjoyed it all while listing to the live band. This was a nice ending to an eventful day. Just A Note: A tag on IG… gets you a spin of the bonus wheel. I snagged a gift card for my next visit.

5 Star Rating Came here on a Pulsd deal. Sometimes those Pulsd and Groupon deals are kinda a swindle if you will. What you spend on the deal plus what you have to spend in store equals out to if you had just went to the restaurant somehow. It's wild. But. This Pulsd deal was a home run! I ordered the Pollo Guisado A Caballo (Pic with the soup bowl) and The 2 Chuletas & Rice. Food was DELICIOUS. So good that I'm like who cares about the deal. You get a lot of food and it's SOOOOO GOOD. The Pollo Guisado had this broth that was SOO good and you can take some and pour it over your rice. That's what I did and it set everything OFF. The 2 Chuletas and rice was flavorful as well and the rice was outstanding once I put the broth from the other dish over it! Service was lacking because there were a few new ppl waiting (per the owner). He definitely tried his best to cover for all of them and he did a good job. I'd definitely come back in a heartbeat and plan on to get that food again. You should come here too! Loads of food for what you pay AND the food is SCRUMPTIOUS.

4 Star Rating We went this time specifically for the featured Black Rican Vegan menu options which didn’t disappoint at all. The vegan servings were delicious and healthy portions. My favorite were the trio of Pastelillos Flight including the Guava and Cheese, Chickpea and Potato and very seasoned yummy vegan beef. The atmosphere and decor always colorful and tasteful. What needs improvement is their service. The team felt like they were constantly in the weeds. They were all super friendly but just some basic training like assigning dishes so they go to right people and also fixing mistake orders properly. They forgot the pernil in their regular brunch menu, Eggs Benedict dish. They brought it out a few minutes as large side portion but you go to a restaurant for the experience and presentation which obviously was not executed. The other confusing issue was we had two servers that were approaching us asking the same things. Though they were both friendly and eager, the uncoordinated tag team was overkill. Overall we still had a great time but hope they take this as constructive criticism.

2 Star Rating Originally, we were in the area for another restaurant, but that restaurant closed early because they were running out of food. So, we did a search and came across this place. It had great reviews, so we figured we'd try it. We waited about 10 minutes to be seated. We were seated right underneath a speaker, and it was so loud that we could barely hear each other speak. It took about 30 minutes for our order to be taken, and another 40 minutes after that for our food to come out. We ordered the pigeon peas with rice/roast pork, and the shrimp mofongo. The food LOOKED great on the plate, but the rice and pernil was on the verge of being too salty, and the mofongo was extremely bland. I also ordered a seltzer (requested it two times, once when we initially ordered, and asked for it again when they served the food) and it was finally brought WITH the check... Overall, the food wasn't worth the wait and the service is seriously lacking. I wouldn't go back here again.

2 Star Rating As a Puerto Rican from the Bronx, I went with high expectations after hearing about this place from a friend. I like the atmosphere, and the wait time wasn't bad for me. The manager was a great host too. However, the food was entirely bland. I had a shrimp Mofongo that was more like mangu. It lacked the classic texture not to mention the garlic sauce didn't taste like garlic or seasoned for that matter. If they used butter, it was unsalted. Not to mention half the menu wasn't available to order.

Its going to be a take-out order so ill update this review once we eat(only if it is good). This is definitely a family restaurant because they posted up behind the counter like security. Im hoping for the best but although we wear mask due to covid, I spoke very loudly and no one said a word. They didnt even ask can we help you or even attempt to hand me a menu nor tell me where the menu's are.. (3 ppl just stared from behind the partition) I figured it out on my own lol Maybe because I dont speak spanish. The lady spoke great english who took my order which I found interesting being nobody said anything. Maybe next time ill say HOLA instead of HELLO. I hope these reviews are right about the food because I didnt feel welcome but im in the mood for mexican food and this was of convenience at this time. Food was done quickly. 20 minute or less. 5 Star Rating Gaudir is now open 6 evenings a week (and for breakfast on weekends too) and I finally made it there. In the year or so I’ve heard if it, it’s only been open on Mondays and now I’m sorry I hadn’t been there sooner. The food is really good, the room is now a little different than it had been when it was Mountain Bird (new tables, artwork, a bit more lighting, and a bigger bar with a few seats), and the staff is incredibly friendly, including the chef who visits the tables and serves some dishes himself! We went two nights in a row and highly recommend the Gaudir salad, the eggplant dish with anchovy, the ham — not to be missed— and the churros (though I prefer them without the chocolate.). I took a photo of the mushroom dish but I didn’t eat it because I was too full thanks to our over ordering but I’m including it because it’s so beautiful.

5 Star Rating I just catered a party for 60 people in my home using Tastings NYC and it was terrific working with them. I wanted an elegant rehearsal dinner with a cocktail hour and a sit down dinner. The staff showed up early and set up the entire indoor dining area. During the party, we started with an open bar and hors d'ouevres outside. The bar tender was excellent and the passed hors d'ouevres were tasty and terrific. We then went downstairs for dinner and had a choice of Miso Cod or Korean Short ribs. Both were excellent. We had great side dishes as well. For dessert, we had opera cake and blueberry cobbler. The staff was incredibly attentive and accommodating to the adjustments I made during the evening. At the end, my place was clean and items were neatly staged for pickup by the party rental company. Franck was our contact at Tastings, he was great. I would work with him again in a heartbeat. Our captain for the evening was Peter. He was also amazing. Overall, I highly recommend these folks and will use them for my next party.

5 Star Rating We used Tastings NYC to cater a very small corporate on-site event (six people) and they were excellent. I tried to order from them online but the site wasn't cooperating so I gave them a call to see if they could assist. I worked with Kenwyn who was extremely gracious, professional, and took good care of us. This order was a little bit last-minute but Kenwyn consistently kept us in the loop with our order and stayed on top of all our changes and requests. The on-site attendees raved about the food and the service was top-notch. Thanks for coming through for us, and for being so reliable and professional.

Reviews

4 Star Rating Online Ordered a Pizza for takeout pickup as it was almost $10 cheaper and ready like 30 minutes quicker if I picked up than delivery and made sense being less than two blocks short walking distance from my home. You can also pre-order for a specified pickup time up to a day in advance. Napkins and Utensils avail if you ask or request. Soda avail cans or bottles but suggest you get that at any nearby convenience store several nearby within one block and much cheaper. Good Food and Friendly Staff. Order online for best prices and special deals or discounts that are Not offered if you order on phone or in person.
