Best boneless wings in the city hands down. The owners and staff are GREAT. Food is consistent and fairly priced. Portions are much more than what you pay for and its why im a returning customer and will continue.

Went to see my friend from the band SuperChild, perform who was coming in from Massachusetts. They host bands & soloists regularly in the basement, which has has a full bar & kitchen. Lots of different food & drinks. Slightly pricey, but the food and drinks are great. And the staff were friendly and quick to serve you. Lots of unique foods for any diet. The upstairs is definitely one of a kind, I believe they have custom teas & candy? Good place to check out if you’re nearby. Right near the train too, which is convenient.

Harlem Tavern is a vibe, if you know you know! We came to celebrate my bestie’s 50th birthday. We had a wonderful time, we enjoyed our food. We enjoyed the music all night long and were able to get our dance on and enjoy ourselves. This place and the bar area gets extremely crowded. I would suggest that you book a reservation in advance to ensure that you get seating. However, if you are at a table, I believe you have to order from the menu. Nice place, nice environment 🫶🏾

Great vibes and terrific location for a party.Though the service was on a slow pace ,enjoyed their sangria, Carrebean Punch,Mini burger,cheese balls,Veg Quesadilla,Mini Beef burger, and many other foods... We went there for a party and will be coming back again!

It's a pretty and festive place the asmosphere is good and comfortable. We thought it was strange that they had a minor child being a hostess. The server seemed very unhappy and not attentive.If the service was good I've given the place a five. It was a very busy Saturday afternoon with only two servers. It took 30 minutes to get water, so by the time the server took our orders we were all disappointed with the restaurant. The food was not great, the quality of the food is not worth the high prices. That restaunt has become a fad not like it used to be. I won't go back .

Melba’s was recommended to us by someone at our hotel, and it was absolutely worth the 15-minute walk to get there. We ordered a nice variety of dishes for the table, and everything was fantastic across the board. If I had to pick a favorite, the catfish took the crown, it was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Everything else we tried was just as impressive though. Great food, great portions, and clearly a spot the locals and hotel staff are proud to recommend. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town.

I stopped to get some takeout after class. This was my first time trying the restaurant. The servers were more than kind and very patient with me when I was reading the menu. The chicken is very juicy and savory. The yams are cooked well and have the perfect amount of sweetness. I also had the carrot cake (great), the mac and cheese (good), and my favorite: the catfish bites. Would recommend!! (No pics for the yams or chicken, I finished them too quickly..)

We stopped at Melba’s for lunch and really enjoyed it. We got there early, so thankfully there was no wait. The fish and fried chicken were both really good and not greasy at all. The mac and cheese was tasty, and the greens had a nice spicy kick. My wife enjoyed the chicken and waffles. The rice and beans were just okay and probably not something I’d order again. Other than that, the food and service were both good. Overall, a great lunch spot and I’d come back.

We had such a wonderful time at our retirement luncheons today! I was pleased with my choice of salmon with yams and collard greens, which was absolutely delightful. The service truly stood out—our young lady was incredibly patient and kind, making the experience even more enjoyable. The servings were generous and the food was simply amazing. I wholeheartedly recommend Melba's for wonderful, flavorful meals at reasonable prices. It's always a pleasure to indulge in good food and great company!

We chose Melba's last night. The place is really nice. I love the art decor and music. Our waitress Tati (Tatiana) was amazing. I tasted a small piece of my daughter's Egg Nog Waffle. Whew, that taste was out of this world. That Tres Mac n Cheese was definitely a crowd please. I would certainly come back. I love the neighborhood as well.

This was more than just a surprise and delight—it truly showcased why supper clubs feel so elite. It was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time, and you could taste the attention to detail in every dish. Really enjoyed the appetizers - wings, crab beignets, and the red snapper filet had great flavor. Drinks were good as well. Overall food was flavorful and vibe was chill. Massiel was great and her hospitality was wonderful. She gave great recommendations and I would deff come back to try brunch.

The Nephew... I can use one word to describe my experience at The Nephew. PHENOMENAL. Them menu covers all the bases completely. The libations are wonderful. The staff is absolutely the best in accommodating both custom orders and just being there for every request that our party had. This is a recommended MUST VISIT. The Nephew is a hidden gem in Harlem. I say hidden because it sits on a part of 119th St. that you could pass by and never know it was there. I'm glad I've been blessed to know it's there and will be back as many times as possible. Tip: Have the braised short rib over grits!!! It's normally a "hash", but the grits take it to a whole new level! Go and visit The Nephew, you WILL NOT REGRET IT! 💯

Wow. This place is everything I wanted. Great music from the past. Cute window private seating. A nice bar and restaurant. Massaiel the bar tender. She was fantastic, kind, and made the best drinks. The lavender lychee Martini and Harlem dandy iced tea drinks may have been the best I’ve had in years. I ordered from the happy hour on Tuesday. It’s all day. The oysters wow. So fresh and delicious. The turnovers were so good we took two orders to go. House made curry vegan turnovers.. the shrimp cevich Outstanding and fresh. The sauce was so good I drank it. The Mac n cheese was like homemade fresh right out the oven. My friend loved the cosmopolitan drink and he rarely drinks. The hummus and plantain fresh n tasty. Cupid to the chef. This was everything right in nyc. The cornbread was moist and perfect sweetness n salt. Bathe jam was telling stories in my mouth.

We ducked into Chocolat to escape the rain and ended up discovering one of the best parts of our trip. We had brunch and, a little over an hour later, decided we had room for dessert. We ordered the chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream, and let me just say this: if they serve dessert in heaven, I imagine it tastes something like this. We told ourselves we’d exercise a little self-control, but the warm cake and melting ice cream had other plans. We practically wolfed down every bite of that delicate, moist, heavenly goodness. Now, here’s where the fried chicken comes in. My husband looked at me and said, “I need something savory to take the sweetness out of my mouth.” Don’t judge us. 😂 I flagged down a waiter and ordered a side of chicken. That chicken arrived piping hot, crispy, perfectly seasoned, and every bit as memorable as the dessert. It was so good it felt like manna from heaven. It’s loud and although service was lacking the food was amazing, the atmosphere was welcoming, and what started as a quick escape from the rain turned into a meal we’ll be talking about for a long time. We’ll definitely be back. 🍫🍗☔️

Good soul food restaurant in Harlem! Perfect for groups! Location: It is located at the corner of W 120th st and Frederick Douglas Blvd. The restaurant is big with lot of seating. Street parking is available. Service: we went with a group and definitely help us. Food: I only ordered the fried chicken with red velvet pancakes. And the chicken was the star here. It was very crunchy and well seasoned. The red velvet pancakes were burnt tho but still taste good. Price rating: 8/10. It was not expensive for the good food and location. Definitely will come back to try other food on the menu! But that chicken was perfect.

Went for a birthday Sunday brunch celebration with 8 people. The food, drinks and service were great. Had the red velvet waffles with catfish, and Chocolat Signature Sangria. The catfish had delicious flavor, and waffles were on point. The Sangria ....❤️‍🔥. The server was also great in recommending drinks, and friendly. Would definitely recommend and recommend making reservations. The vibe was chill.✨️🎊🥳

Had a great time. Whenever someone comes in town to visit this is where I take them. I absolutely LOVE the shrimp & gritss. I need to know how take make the Lobster roux. I’ve also had the seafood croquettes and they were good as well. I only have a low score because the service wasn’t that great. We had a reservation and still had to wait to be seated but the host forgot about us and we were just standing there for quite some time. Once we were seated it was the same. The server didn’t check on us often. It took him a long time to come back and it just pretty much stayed that way until we left.

Overall, Lido is a good spot. Everything is good except the calamari which was just ok. No real flavor. The aioli that comes with it is very good though. The sauce for the salmon is really tasty...a stand out for me with the whole dinner. The creamy garlic bread is a good appetizer. Creamy and a not too crunchy. The branzino is tasty and has crispy skin 👍. Could have more vegetables with it. The Tiramisu and warmy bread pudding for dessert were both good. I'd recommend an extra scoop of ice cream as they give one small scoop. The restaurant is pretty tight. Tables are pretty close together. Hard to get in and out when other diners are next to you. Would definitely return here.

The restaurant week menus is 3 course for $45 per person. The portion size is big and food is tasty. For starters we had the salmon fritters, arugula salad; for main we got the branzino and chicken Marsala, both are very good. For dessert there are just two choices: chocolate brownie ice cream or strawberry sorbet. We got both and if you mix the two the flavors are more balanced. Great service as well.

First time eating here with a group of 6 and our dog. The staff were SO kind about our dog and she wasn’t on her best behavior and they were still kind to us letting us have her on their coveted patio which still felt like it had AC access in this summer heat (July 2026) My family and I were here for brunch. 2 of us ordered the salmon Benedict it was perfect. My partner ordered the French toast with side of potatoes (I didn’t love them they came with some buttery or garlicky sauce and it just made them too slimy for me) and side of bacon. Another family member got the blueberry pancakes side of bacon. My mother in law got something with a biscuit and she said it was amazing The veil meatballs were extra good as well! Lastly cocktails my partner and I both had an espresso martini it was great. Giving the food 4/5 because neither the French toast nor pancakes came with protein and were still $20 and that just seems really high to me. And I know it’s New York but I life in DC and I complain about it here too lol Also they will consider a group of 6 a large group and automatically charge 20% gratuity

We went to Lido for lunch the day before Thanksgiving 2025 and I must say the food, service, and atmosphere was outstanding! For appetizers, my cousin and I shared the calamari fritti and my husband had the roasted veal meatballs (he ate them in a NY minute and I missed the photo op...). For the main course we had chicken marsala and spaghetti arrabiata. The cocktails (especially the espresso martini and the strawberry lemon drop) were wonderful! Everything we ordered was excellent! The portions were generous to the point that we had zero room for dessert. So, you get delicious food, great service and a generous meal for the money. It was a lovely dining experience and we look forward to returning next time we visit NYC!

So many people bringing in snacks from elsewhere, sitting there with a water, with stuff spread over half a bench or entire table, recharging their devices, some of them with their phones blaring out (no headphones) - difficult for actual customers to get space, or peace to enjoy a coffee.

The baristas at this particular location are no longer permitted to sell nor give customers a cup of hot water. According to their new store policy, this Starbucks cannot sell nor can they give, any more of their customers, any cup of hot water because (this is a quote) "we don't know what you are going to do with that cup of hot water." They still sell cups of hot coffee though. I think. Actually, I'm not 100% certain because this store's policy appears to be in conflict with the brand's corporate policy. And on days like today when it's 36 degrees and raining freezing rain sideways outside, rest assured that this location of Starbucks just may not sell you a hot beverage because that's apparently no longer the business model of this particular location. Maybe they are switching their focus to the baked goods. Not certain. But just a heads up fellow coffee and tea consumers!

I’ve been coming here since 2013 because they have great food. Unfortunately, the pastries and the food have not been as good. The decline started when they separated the pastry shop from the restaurant area. They increased the price of everything. The pastries taste old. This eclair is soggy but expensive. The chicken is dry. There are less tables, and the tables are sticky. It’s very sad. I remember this place used to always be full of people indoors and outdoors. Their breakfast egg sandwich was unmatched. No longer the case.

We went for breakfast pastries. Decent croissant and pain au chocolate -- not the best I've had, but not bad. What I didn't appreciate was that out of the 5 cinnamon raisin pastries, he gave me the most burned one. I frankly don't even think that one should have been out for sale.

Update: I like that they renovated the place. It is brighter and more spacious, but during the winter months, it gets very cold inside as people open the door to come in. I had to keep my coat on. Foodwise, the grilled dibi lamb has remained the best dish on the menu. I do not like that the servers are not consistent with serving the bread and mayonnaise. Service is minimal and quite slow. Review from 3 years ago (4 star rating): this is one of my favorite West African (Senegalese) restaurants in NYC. I love anything "grilled" on the menu. On my last visit, the nems were tasty and the shell perfectly crisp. The pastries are sinfully delicious. However, the shawarma was not good. The pita was too soft. Also, the burger beef patty was dry and tasteless. Just stick with the grilled dishes on the menu. I like the restaurant's ambiance. The owner and servers are very welcoming.

I highly recommend coming here! The waiter was so sweet and the manager sat my date & I at a 4 top table so we had extra room. I had the vanilla expresso martini.. 10/10. As an entree we had the Lamb Ragu and Steak Frites, every bite was delicious and made with love. The staff was also super friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and service was quick. One of my favorite restaurants in Harlem and it never disappoints. The black spaghetti with seafood is out of this world. The duck appetizer is to die for. I didn't photo the black spaghetti this time it was my to-go meal but I had the black ravioli with lobster for dinner. Not as good as the spaghetti and needed a couple more pieces but was tasty.

I was looking for some fresh fish, and vineteria delivered with several fish and seafood options to choose from. On the end, I'm not sure what I ordered, but it was delicious and perfectly prepared. I think it was broiled branzino, but the important thing is that the skin was crispy and good enough to make a meal out of. The flesh was perfectly medium rare, firm and moist. It was served on a bed of rich, creamy mushroom risotto. I had the special cauliflower soup as an appetizer. I just popped in without reservation early on a Friday night. The place was buzzing and pretty full. I could have taken a seat at a long community table but opted for a window seat at the bar so that I could watch street life in the neighborhood. My server had to elbow his way through the bar crowd to get to me, but he was game for the challenge and remained friendly and helpful despite difficulty getting through. Prices are what I would expect for above average food and service. As should be expected from a restaurant named Vineteria, the wine list is well curated with a great variety of interesting wines. In the past, I have had oysters and clams on the half shell. I can recommend them for variety, freshness and presentation.

My wife and I were really excited to try this place after walking by it so many times. We stopped in for happy hour on a rainy day after work. The oysters were excellent, but unfortunately the service overshadowed the meal. The restaurant also wasn’t particularly busy. There were only about three people at the bar and, including us, only four occupied tables. We ordered drinks first, but they didn’t arrive until after our food was served. We even had to ask about them a second time. Our server’s response was, “Oh, the bartender is eating their meal right now. I’ll go find them.” This was at the start of happy hour, and we watched other tables receive their drinks promptly and even get refills while we were still waiting. If the bartender was on break, we would have appreciated being told upfront rather than leaving us wondering what was happening halfway through our meal. After our food arrived, our server only checked on us once for the rest of the meal. No one apologized for the delay with our drinks or acknowledged that we’d been waiting. We were considering ordering dessert, but that changed when someone who appeared to be the owner came over, took the napkin from my lap, refolded it, and placed it on the table. Whether that was the intention or not, it made us feel as though we were being rushed to leave. We paid our bill and left. What ultimately ruined the experience for us wasn’t the food, it was the service. We watched the staff regularly check on what appeared to be their regular customers, chatting with them and making sure they were taken care of. Meanwhile, my wife and I spent much of the evening wondering if we’d somehow been forgotten. We don’t mind waiting when a restaurant is upfront about what’s happening. What disappointed us was feeling overlooked throughout the entire meal. We really wanted to like this place because the food showed promise, but based on this experience, it’s hard to see ourselves coming back.

This is one of the brightest gems among many in Harlem. What a nice place for a cocktail or a quiet dinner. We enjoyed the “Thyme of Your Life” gin cocktail. Tasty sides and dessert to share. We had the carrot and Brussels for side and flan and gelato for dessert. All good. Recommend.
