3 Star Rating Onion rings were a zero. Not a good sign when they are all identical to each other. Chicken wings good. Waffle fries didn’t deliver so well but are high quality.

5 Star Rating So I've been to this place 3 times and each and every time I have gotten nothing with the best from the wings. They are very friendly and are willing to double fry the wings depending on how you like them. There's quite a selection of sauces that you can have your wings in. Although it is a little bit pricey, it's definitely well worth it.

3 Star Rating The Cecil is obviously an institution. That being said, our experience was mixed. The atmosphere is wonderful. The decoration is beautiful. The waiter who looked after us was incredibly kind and present. The starters were really good... But then the mains were satisfactory to disappointing. The meats were all over cooked and one person on our table got the wrong cut of meat. After a few back and forth, it turns out the kitchen made a mistake... But nothing was done about it. We ordered lava cakes for desert and received something different... Again, nothing was done to correct the situation. Our waiter was terribly embarrassed and apologized on behalf of the kitchen and management. The overall experience was fun, and we're happy we visited, but for the price paid, we would have liked less mistakes or more done by management to correct them.

5 Star Rating I rarely/never give places 5 stars, but baby, this place is amazing! The food was soooo good. I had the soup and a shrimp salad. But I also got to taste my friends plates. They had steak, lamb and fried chicken. It was alll VERY GOOD. The ambiance was top notch. We got to dance with the person putting on the amazing show. I could go on all day... I would come back here again and again.

2 Star Rating Nice spot but the service was not so good. There was one person working the whole damn floor at one point. So that meant our group amd the other groups that were there were not tended to as we should have been. The guy walking around tried to spruce things up by celebrating EVERYONE...birthday, anniversary, graduation, retirement...whatever. It was a nice way to liven things up but service needs major work.

5 Star Rating I accidently ran into this place. I have been in the neighborhood for 20 years and never knew of this place. The decor was beautiful and jazz looking. Service was wonderful and the food was great. They even had a comedy show available the night I was there. I simply sat at the bar. Went again the following week to imtroduce my friend to this place for drink and food. She loved it.

4 Star Rating A co-worker took me to Cecil’s, I am surprised I’ve never heard of it before especially since I’m usually in the area. Upon arriving to the restaurant, we were greeted by the staff. The food was very delicious, I ordered the chicken parmigiana which was huge serving. I couldn’t finish it all so I end up taking the remainder of it home. I also had the beef and chicken empanadas which were absolutely delicious. I tasted the filet mignon for a friend’s plate which was also good. Oh, and the wings were also delicious. The DJ was awesome he kept the vibe going. There was also a live band that performed. There was an option to dine indoors or outdoors. The décor in and around the restaurant was also beautiful. This location is accessible via public transportation. I would definitely be back and I recommend this restaurant, give it a try you won’t be disappointed.

2 Star Rating (SHARING MY OWN REVIEW FROM YELP. GOOGLE DOES NOT REFLECT ACTUAL EXPERIENCE OF THIS ESTABLISHMENT) When I finally decided to try Silvana, I was not expecting this place to be completely mismanaged based off the reviews. While the food here is very, VERY good, the service is not, but it is not the servers fault either. This is clearly a management issue. I arrived this morning for breakfast with my mother. Lovely male waiter told us to sit where we want and we waited a few minutes before he gave us our menus and served us some water. I noticed quickly that this waiter was running food, cleaning tables, making drinks, and closing checks all by himself without a single other worker here, besides a chef that was bringing the food up from the kitchen. Unsurprisingly, the waiter was getting very behind with the growing number of customers, pick up orders, and just overall people trying to leave. At a certain point in our meal, my mother tried to get another latte, to which the waiter informed us of all the drinks ahead of us (about 7-8). It's very disappointing to go to a restaurant and not be able to order an item that I could receive in a timely fashion. I watched many people come in, sit for 10-15 minutes, and get up and leave after no one came to even take a drink order. There is obviously not enough staff here. This came across as non empathetic and a "it is what it is" attitude. A second, female worker finally came in with glasses on that had absolutely no sense of urgency while this poor waiter was still running around like a chicken with his head cut off. Now I have written an entire review on the service of this place without touching much on the food, which is just as important. Like I said, it's disappointing to want to order a drink and be told it would take an unreasonable amount of time. It's also disappointing to order over easy eggs and receive over hard eggs. There were absolutely no yolks which is my favorite part but this place was too busy to even mention it to the waiter so I just took it and ate it. We even ordered extra pita to take home with us which we ended up asking to be removed from the bill because it was taking 20 minutes to receive it. Like I said earlier, the food was very good, but there is no room for criticism or even the ability to correct an order when the service is 30 minutes behind. Management needs to fix this problem or go in and work a Sunday morning shift for themselves. You cannot tell me that is sustainable (OR SAFE???) for one person. Owners need to do better.

3 Star Rating Maybe their night life is better than their day time lunch hours. I called ahead to see if they serve turkey burgers and was happy to hear that they do! I walked in around 2PM and the energy and hospitality was lack luster, as I was told to seat myself wherever. Initially I went to the bar where I was told happy hour does not begin until 4PM and only drinks will be served. So, I find a quiet spot in the corner between the threshold of the bar and dining room. The water glasses are already facing right side up on the table, and visibly dirty. I just asked for a clean glass, no problem. I’ll take partial responsibility for the fact that I was served a turkey burger with pork bacon on it. I ordered blindly without reading the menu, but I feel as though I should’ve been informed by my knowledgeable waitress. Regardless, I sent it back knowing they were just going to remove the bacon from my burger and reassemble it accordingly. To my dismay, my burger comes back with a hair on the plate. Mind you, it’s only 2PM. I’m sure it wasn’t intentional but at this point the cleanliness of this establishment is a cause for concern. In the end my meal was compensated, and I was no longer planning to leave this review due to their effort to rectify the situation. However, the opportunity presented itself when I was notified to leave a review😅

5 Star Rating Harlem Tavern is a wide space with wonderful energy. My gf tried the Branzino omg it was delicious and full of flavor. I had the spicy tomato mussels and the sauce was delicious plus the portion was big enough for 2 people. I also order the steak sandwich that was full of flavor. Our waitress was wonderful and she also didn't rush us during happy hour. Btw if you go during happy hour the entire restaurant happy hour.😎

5 Star Rating This is a busy local hot spot. My visit was on a Sunday during brunch. Tables were available but we opted for the bar to be away from the crowds. The Shocktop beer on draft was cold and delicious. I highly recommend the pot of mussels in spicy tomato sauce. It is served with garlic bread to soak up that great broth. Aside from that, we ordered fries, chicken, and waffles, which were all great as well. Looking forward to returning soon.

3 Star Rating Was in town for the weekend and went on a friend date. We made dinner reservations and showed up early but clearly that didn’t matter because we still waited AN HOUR to be seated! However, the server, appetizer and meal came in 10 minute intervals. Food was overall good and good portion size. The salmon was plain, didn’t taste honey or ginger. The catfish strips were okay. Everything else I really enjoyed.

2 Star Rating We had reservations for 7:30p. We tried to call to see if we can come earlier, but no one answered. When we arrived, we were about twenty minutes early. The entrance is narrow with no waiting area or host/hostess station. There were people standing by the entrance which made it hard to freely walk in. There was no one there to greet us and we stood there for a good twelve to thirteen minutes. We didn't know if there was a host/hostess checking for reservations. Another patron came in with their party and was just as confused. That party eventually left after waiting for about ten minutes. I then decided to stop one of the waitstaff and asked for a manager and explained that we've been waiting to be seated. They informed me that the manager is also the hostess and they will contact them to help us. When the manager/hostess approached us, I informed them about our reservations. She stated that our table would be ready shortly. We waited another eight minutes. We then were seated in an undesirable part of the room. Approximately a foot away or so from the bar. We thought the menu online looked more extensive than what we saw on the menu provided to us at the table. Water in a mason jar was given to us and we ordered the rum punch. Unfortunately, this establishment did not have Appleton Estate Rum to mix in with the rum punch. Once we ordered our food, it was served within about five minutes after we placed our order. We had the Chilean Sea Bass with A$AP Yams and collard greens. We also had beef short ribs, potato salad and sautéed spinach. The food was delicious minus the spinach which was bland. Also, the portion size of the Chilean Sea Bass was only about four inches long. That was rather disappointing. The food was better than Sylvia's Restaurant. The atmosphere was okay. The wait time experience was a turn off. We have no plans on ever returning.

5 Star Rating March1 . My first time going to Melba’s . The food was a 1000/10! for me. I placed my order as soon as I walked in at the bar . I was greeted the moment I came in by a very nice host. The person who took my order at the bar could’ve been a bit more nicer attitude when I asked her the differences of the meats. Attached is what I got . Meal 26$ they definitely should at least give u more, another set of wings cause just this ONE wasn’t enough for the amount I paid. UNSURE of which selection I got between dark meat white meat etc . But food overall 1000/10

2 Star Rating First off the food is PHENOMENAL. Absolutely top tier, everything was very pleasing to that palate and did not miss. I had the pumpkin French toast, shrimp and grits and red sangria. Major kudos to the chef. On the flip side, the service is ridiculously awful. I’m not one of those customers that want a server at my every beck and call, especially on a Sunday but the standard is an expectation. Do things in a timely manner and if it can’t be done, communicate that. I have no problem waiting with updates. We were there for 2.5 hours and 1.5 hours of that time was waiting without any update nor checking in. We had to remind him about our drinks and food and when we did, it immediately came out which means the kitchen/bar had it ready, he just wasn’t being attentive. Then to have the audacity to have automatic 20% gratuity when he was barely deserving of 5%. I can say I observed other servers holding the standard so I think it was this particular server that could use some coaching and improvement. All in all, the food was so amazing I would definitely return and definitely get a different server.

4 Star Rating Very small space inside with very few tables. They do have more seating outside, which appears to be heated under an enclosed tent. The staff was attentive. They do have an All Day Menu, & a Pre Fixed Menu for $40. For an appetizer, the Crab Cakes aren't bad. For an entree, I enjoyed the Black Sea Bass. I don't usually eat that when I go out. It comes with Farro, Black Garlic, & Zucchini. The Farro was interesting in taste because I never had it before. Their drink specialties are limited. For those who like Moscato, they don't carry it here. The Spicy Magarita is very spicy. I didn't enjoy the taste.

5 Star Rating I don't get to go to Harlem much, since it's a long way from East Brooklyn, but this was well worth the trip! The staff was friendly and accommodating, the music was great and the outdoor seating area was WARM! It was just as though you were inside, music was also playing but it was comfortable enough to be able to have a conversation without having to yell. If you prefer to sit indoors, be prepared to have to speak very loudly to one another and/or not be able to hear. This didn't impact my rating because the outside seating made up for it. I really enjoyed my food (salmon, mashed potatoes and brussels sprouts) and the mimosas! Would definitely make a trip back one of the next times I make it uptown! The outdoor seating was perfect for a group!

4 Star Rating A nice way to enjoy jazz that doesn’t break the bank. The musicians were wonderful and the servers/bartenders were attentive. We ordered drinks - off menu - and they were good. The food was decent - typical to what you’d expect from a jazz bar. Tickets were affordable and once they turned the lights down, the ambience was nice. There are some things that seem to be a work in progress (the sound guy and the singers didn’t seem to be on the same page and the lighting at the bar could use some work). But once the show got going, it was a really enjoyable time. We’ll definitely be returning as it’s a neighborhood establishment worth the patronage. Good for dates and groups.

4 Star Rating 4 stars only because they ran out of collard greens. Sweet plantains cooked to perfection, kale was steamed and garlicy. Otherwise, food was excellent, very friendly & welcoming staff. Great place for dates, anniversaries, family gatherings, or just to get some home cooked comfort foods. Loved the biscuits in honey butter, 2 in a plate, but my greedy self ordered 2 orders, well worth it. Braised BBQ ribs were so tender, fell off the bone. 3 cheese mac & cheese was a hit. The beautiful beet salad with grilled shrimp was mouth watering. Did not have room for dessert, but it was definitely worth my next trip. 😋

3 Star Rating This time food was not that impressive. I had pumpkin gnocchi and they were ok. The unpleasant note of the dinner was the heating. In the patio they had a super old AC that was blowing hot air right in the customer's faces. It's about time to renovate it! Other fun thing: heating was on together with ceiling fans lol. 50$ for the gnocchi dish, garlic bread and a bloody Mary (served with the wrong straws). Overall expensive compared to the quality and service.

4 Star Rating Lido is an Italian gem in Harlem, offering a plethora of seafood and vegan foods. With an accessible front of house squad, mouthwatering entrees, and upbeat ambience, it's the place to be for a memorable night uptown.

5 Star Rating We did the Brunch menu and the unlimited mimosas for $20 each 90mins . Wife had the Smoke salmon Benedict, I had the Braised short rib hash. Both dishes were delicious and plated well. We also split an order Blueberry pancakes delicious. For dessert we ordered the warm bread pudding and molten chocolate run cake. Each dish was delicious and priced right. We will be back to try dinner

5 Star Rating I had a great experience as a first-timer at the pantry today; the lines weren't very long due to the weather but I also got there at the top of the food distribution timeframe for today which began at 12:30pm. I had an appointment that I'd set through Plentiful but I waited in line anyway and was "in and out" in less than 15 minutes. The staff members were very kind and helpful to me as a first-timer and I am grateful for this service. :) I have a two-person household, and they assisted me with much-needed fresh(!) fruit (strawberries, blueberries, and lemons - strawberry lemonade, anyone?!), veggies (asparagus and tomatoes), milk, juice, and non-perishables, as well as a pack of chicken that will last a few days. This will supplement my regular shop as it is about $35-40 worth of food - at least in my neighborhood.

2 Star Rating 2 visits one month apart. The first had a big container of moldy strawberries. The second screen order I had to throw away almost half of the food when I got home and unpacked it. Again moldy, rotted, out of date foods. There won’t be a third visit.

5 Star Rating I’ve only served here, so I can’t really rate this place as a customer. But I think they do a wonderful job! All the meals I’ve helped with seem very well planned and organized. They serve good food too (we weren’t allowed to eat it, but it looked good!!!) Attendees seem happy.

5 Star Rating Great resource for people who need food. Very helpful, respectful, non-intimidating, with a friendly feel. Great people helping where help is needed. Very good food pantry, available to all comers. The meals are institutional food, but when you are hungry, food is food. The food pantry has a system which allows people to make their own choices within different categories, more like a little market, less intimidating and more respectful than some other places (I don't mean to speak against food pantries which offer food to the needy - they help out of the goodness of their hearts, but they just don't know how it feels to have to put out your hand). The shoppers at the Food Pantry also help each other, discuss choices, and share suggestions and recipes for what is available. What a good place to have when you are in a bad place!
