Great food and ambiance. I’ve been eying this place for a while, and I’m so glad to finally try it. We got the fufu & peanut stew, and Jollof rice and fish. We also tried a side of the turkey tails. Everything was flavorful and a good level of spicy as well. 10/10 will be back!

We were starving and ubered here from the Met Cloisters. The person working gave us samples for the spinach rice, egusi, and jollof, which was very nice of her. Food portions are MASSIVE and lasted us 2 meals (took most of it home). Paid $40 for fufu + egusi and jollof and rice - great value. Would come back
- Fufu and egusi w/ mixed meat: 10/10, first time trying fufu - LOVED the texture, and it was yummy w the egusi. The egusi was a little more sour than I expected but still so yummy
- Jollof and rice: 10/10, I REALLY liked this. Sauce was tomatoey and so flavorful. Rice was also soft

First time trying the West African food. The staff here were so nice to let us try out everything for free!
Food itself was great! We ordered three different curries (soups) and the portion is generous!

The food was fantastic. The waakye, stew, and groundnut soup were perfect, and literally tasted exactly as I remember they did in Ghana. I look forward to trying more dishes here.

My new favorite African restaurant in NYC. I love their turkey tailsss reminds me of my Moms food but the peanut butter stew took me back to my village so grateful to be able to experience this cuisine in a foreign land. Will definitely return when i'm in the area. There's so many fancy looking spots now days with crappy or just okay food give this place a try and you wont be disappointed

Wow - I have never had vegan soul food and this was so incredible. I got a bowl loaded up with everything the person behind the counter recommended (who was very kind!) and it was amazing. It does get crowded in there but so worth it. They weight food by the pound, so for my bowl + a bottle of water it was $19.

Been coming here for years when I need a vegan soul food fix and the food is always consistent. Today the barbecue drumsticks and jerk chicken were on point! The Mac, Greens, and Mashed potatoes needed a little salt but I prefer it that way, as it lets me season it the way I like. Also had the sweet potato pie. Nice Sunday lunch!!

I recently went vegan and wanted to try a new spot, but there aren’t many options in Harlem. I saw this place on Google and decided to give it a chance. Right away I noticed the meat was sitting right next to the vegetables. When I got home, the food had no flavor at all. I’ve had better meals at the shelter where I work. And the Rihanna-looking girl at the counter basically tossed the bag at me. For 27 dollars a plate, I won’t be returning. It’s disappointing, because the neighborhood really needs more vegan options.

Probably the best value for money we found in our entire NYC trip. A huge selection of dishes to choose from, and brilliant soul food from a fully plant-based establishment.
We went for two plates, getting:
-Rice and Peas
-Collard Greens
-Mac and Cheese
on both with jerk “chicken” on one and “chicken” curry on the other. You pay by weight for the plates, so you have full freedom to choose whatever you want from an extensive soul food menu. Occasionally, I've found that mac and cheese can be a bit dry in similar establishments, but I absolutely could not fault it here. Everything was delicious.
For the price, we didn't see a better ratio of cost to volume and flavour for the rest of our trip.
Staff were warm and friendly to boot! A must-visit for vegans in NYC.

Nice 'fast' food but with lots of healthy options and lots of variety. It was fun to have a plate of lots of different things and to pay by weight. Also lots of cakes available (the bread pudding was delicious and perfectly moist / not too sweet)

This place is a classic diner. So help me understand…
Why was the turkey (lunch meat) in my Club sandwich GRILLED ON THE FLAT TOP? A Turkey club/triple decker sandwich is a diner classic, I’ve NEVER had it come out with the sliced turkey grilled before. It took the perfect cold sandwich and ruined it. It was dry and super salty. So disappointed!

This place is okay I'm not sure about the Staffing it takes forever and a day for a waitress to come to you even when there's only two tables occupied. I'm pretty sure that's the reason that place was empty when I got there

Stopped by Sisters Caribbean Cuisine for their lunch specials and was pleasantly surprised by how flavorful and satisfying the meal was. I tried both the jerk chicken and the chicken curry, each served with a rice and seasoned cabbage.
Service was quick and friendly, making it a great spot for a weekday lunch. I’ll be trying the oxtail next time.
Ah! It’s cash or Zelle payment only.

I first came across this restaurant’s food at an event I attended. A few of their dishes was a part of the catering. Their food was absolutely delicious I had the yams, fried whitening fish, and collard greens. Let me warn you if their collard greens were SPICY. I don’t do spices. Even many of the people who love spices also stated it was to spicy. I was in the area and decided to order for lunch. I visited the restaurant in October 2023. I placed my order online so it could be ready for pick up when I arrived. I was disappointed to learn the fried whiting fish is only available through their catering menu. I decided to order the stewed chicken, coconut peas and rice, steamed cabbage, yams, macaroni & cheese, cornbread, and lemonade. When I arrived to the restaurant, I noticed it’s not a sit-down restaurant. Seems like you pick up and go. I was greeted by staff told them I was picking up and they let me know my order was ready. I was so eager to dig into my food. I was expecting the Caribbean flavors and was let down and disappointed in my meal. I even shared with my coworker for her opinion. The best thing out of everything I ordered was the yams and lemonade. The chicken was bland and had no flavor. The peas and rice was okay. The cabbage wasn’t cooked and still too crunchy again no seasoning/flavor. The macaroni and cheese wasn’t good. The cornbread was okay, it has pineapple in it. I don’t think I’ll return and if I do it’ll only be for the yams and lemonade. This didn’t taste anything like Caribbean cuisine. The portion of the food was also really small. My total was about $36.00. This location is accessible via public transportation.

Such a cozy restaurant with amazing food and service. The three women running the place were all so kind. Oxtail was melting off the bones and in my mouth and rice was perfectly cooked. I don't live in the neighborhood so I can't come back everyday but I will stop by every time I'm in east harlem. Thank you for such a wonderful meal

My daughter and I ordered take out today. We couldn’t believe how tasty and wonderful the food was! We had the chicken curry roti and we have to say we’ve eaten a lot of this from other places and Sisters has won our hearts and stomachs. The jerk salmon was just as pleasantly tasty and we love the caramelized veggies. The staff were very nice and it was a warm and welcoming atmosphere 10 out 10! We’ll definitely be back. Oh and the pineapple cornbread was delicious too!

On a sightseeing trip through New York, we happened upon this place for dinner. And I have to say, we were pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent. We were also warmly welcomed by the owner and had a great conversation with her. A lovely woman who we will always remember fondly! Greetings from Germany and hopefully we see you soon again!! Excellent chicken wings, fried rice, and hot and sour soup!
Everything was packed with flavor and perfectly seasoned. The chicken wings were crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and had just the right amount of seasoning. The fried rice was fresh, savory, and not greasy at all—every bite had great texture. The hot and sour soup was rich, balanced, and comforting with a nice kick. Overall, a delicious meal with consistently great taste. Definitely a spot I’d come back to!

Ok let me just say, winter storm Jan 25th 2026 just hit Monday everyone is closed, my pizza shop, my pasta spot even my Chinese spot all on the other side of 3rd Ave bridge. I was starving so I googled and found these guys called them and was able to pickup my food in 5 minutes. Chicken wings in garlic sauce and pork fried rice. Just amazingly delicious. This is my new spot. Very friendly staff also.

I was a bit nervous to try this place due to some of the reviews but I’m glad I came! This has been the best takeout Chinese spot since moving to NYC. They give plenty of portions and the price is amazing (which is how it should be). I spent $25 and split it into 3 meals! I ordered General Tso w/ white rice, Crab Rangoons, Beef Lo Mein, an Eggroll, and it came with a complimentary drink. I will definitely be back.

Surprisingly a very clean location with friendly staff that make accurate, tasty orders.
We had to come here as soon as the Mexican Pizza made a return. It was as good as I remember it being! Cheesy, crunchy, and savory.
Mobile ordering is fast and easy as well.

Clean and professional place, but what I don’t like is one of the guys cleaning while I’m eating. Please stop doing that, but other than that the area was clean the staff behind the counter were nice and professional. I will come again again.

This grocery store is great because it truly cares about the community. Instead of throwing away unsold, but still okay food at the end of the day, they make it more affordable for low-income families by offering it at discounted prices in TooGoodToGo App. This way, the community benefits from lower-cost food, and good food doesn’t go to waste. The store is also benefiting from getting something at least out of it . It's a win-win for everyone!!💯👍🏽 A very sustainable model

Very clean and cozy small take-out restaurant in East Harlem. It’s hard to find a decent restaurant in this neighborhood and Thai BKK is definitely a place where you can get fresh and delicious foods. Today I ordered green curry tofu with jasmine rice and basil fried rice with chicken. It’s a BOMB! and I love it!

The restaurant had a very welcoming environment with comfortable indoor seating. The staff were kind, accommodating, and helpful when providing information about meals. They didn’t seem bothered by any questions I asked and even informed me about their deals and specials. Staff even willingly mentioned potential food allergies by explaining ingredients in detail. Overall, great service, friendly atmosphere, and a pleasant dining experience.
