Oh my new favorite 😍 African restaurant in NY
They serve the best fufu and light soup. The jollof is top tier. My hubby can't stop talking about how generous they were with the flavourful banku and okra soup😋 l had a ball with waakye with fried fish, shito and jollof take away.
They make the best spinach stew 💯%👌 no cap

Our first foray into West African food. The portions were generous but the food was just okay. It’s counter service but the woman behind the counter was super nice. The place was clean.

This was my first time trying Ghanaian jollof rice and stew and New York(I’m Nigerian from California for context) and the food did not disappoint! The flavors were amazing and the staff was great. We got to sample a bunch of different soups that were delicious, and everyone was very hospitable. And the portions were huge. Would definitely recommend!

Been coming here for years when I need a vegan soul food fix and the food is always consistent. Today the barbecue drumsticks and jerk chicken were on point! The Mac, Greens, and Mashed potatoes needed a little salt but I prefer it that way, as it lets me season it the way I like. Also had the sweet potato pie. Nice Sunday lunch!!

Nice 'fast' food but with lots of healthy options and lots of variety. It was fun to have a plate of lots of different things and to pay by weight. Also lots of cakes available (the bread pudding was delicious and perfectly moist / not too sweet)

Ive been here twice and had high hopes. The food is hit or miss because sometimes the food is good and sometimes its mediocre. The worst part for me was trying their apple pie and finding out they don't peal the skin off their apples before it's baked. I mentioned it and was told that they normally leave the skin on them. Worst apple pie I ever ate.

Amazing hot Buffet vegan comfort soul food! Super tasty and spice was on point (quite often the season of vegan food could get over spicy). As the food goes by weight, be a prescriptive with the amount of food you want to try. Staff is friendly and there are so many sweet and smoothie options. Definitely will get back as the “chicken” jerk and drumstick were so good. There is a park close by that is a great option to eat besides space inside the store. I got a carrot cake and a juice to go and check was about $21.

Excellent good ....always consistent. They keep the place pretty clean too. Besides the great food, the reason I keep coming back is the very friendly service. They are always happy to serve you. Service with a smile! 😊

Stopped by Sisters Caribbean Cuisine for their lunch specials and was pleasantly surprised by how flavorful and satisfying the meal was. I tried both the jerk chicken and the chicken curry, each served with a rice and seasoned cabbage.
Service was quick and friendly, making it a great spot for a weekday lunch. I’ll be trying the oxtail next time.
Ah! It’s cash or Zelle payment only.

On a sightseeing trip through New York, we happened upon this place for dinner. And I have to say, we were pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent. We were also warmly welcomed by the owner and had a great conversation with her. A lovely woman who we will always remember fondly! Greetings from Germany and hopefully we see you soon again!! (The three Tourists from Germany).❤️❤️❤️

We got "lost" in Harlem and ended up at Sister's. The food was really delicious and, compared to many other American restaurants, the food here was freshly cooked. The Lady was so nice and told us about her trip to Europe, hopefully she will make it to Germany very soon. She gave us the menu as a souvenir of our visit, it has a good place in our home. I have attached a photo with my home village in the background. Best wishes from the three tourists from Germany and hopefully see you soon

I first came across this restaurant’s food at an event I attended. A few of their dishes was a part of the catering. Their food was absolutely delicious I had the yams, fried whitening fish, and collard greens. Let me warn you if their collard greens were SPICY. I don’t do spices. Even many of the people who love spices also stated it was to spicy. I was in the area and decided to order for lunch. I visited the restaurant in October 2023. I placed my order online so it could be ready for pick up when I arrived. I was disappointed to learn the fried whiting fish is only available through their catering menu. I decided to order the stewed chicken, coconut peas and rice, steamed cabbage, yams, macaroni & cheese, cornbread, and lemonade. When I arrived to the restaurant, I noticed it’s not a sit-down restaurant. Seems like you pick up and go. I was greeted by staff told them I was picking up and they let me know my order was ready. I was so eager to dig into my food. I was expecting the Caribbean flavors and was let down and disappointed in my meal. I even shared with my coworker for her opinion. The best thing out of everything I ordered was the yams and lemonade. The chicken was bland and had no flavor. The peas and rice was okay. The cabbage wasn’t cooked and still too crunchy again no seasoning/flavor. The macaroni and cheese wasn’t good. The cornbread was okay, it has pineapple in it. I don’t think I’ll return and if I do it’ll only be for the yams and lemonade. This didn’t taste anything like Caribbean cuisine. The portion of the food was also really small. My total was about $36.00. This location is accessible via public transportation.

I was a bit nervous to try this place due to some of the reviews but I’m glad I came! This has been the best takeout Chinese spot since moving to NYC. They give plenty of portions and the price is amazing (which is how it should be). I spent $25 and split it into 3 meals! I ordered General Tso w/ white rice, Crab Rangoons, Beef Lo Mein, an Eggroll, and it came with a complimentary drink. I will definitely be back.

Solid general tsaos chicken and pork fried rice, great lunch special for 10 dollars, if your a working person in the area looking for a quick lunch and don't want to break the bank I recommend. No seating available.

This the best American Chinese food in neighborhood . They use different flavors and sauces for their different dishes. Not the same mundane for all. The triple delight was generous with the protein and veggies fresh. The veggie fried rice had fresh bean sprouts and a good veggie mix. The crab wantons were AMAZING! Good balance of cream cheese and crab, and a good ratio of fried wanton to filling. General tso was a nice even kick. This is the spot when you want that good “Chinese food” kick. You know what I mean. In the best way possible. Also free two liter! Idk if that’s normal but nice surprise. I did a Grubhub order. Prices reasonable and portions generous. They boast a “A”health rating, Awesome. I’m not personally super opposed to MSG, but they say MSG free. Oh and FASTT

The food is great and usually orders via door dash. But no longer available 😢. Postmates and ubereats charge almost 45 bucks for what I usually order, which cost be 26 or doordash. I'm not sure who markets the price on these apps, but they gauging prices. So if im not around the store, I won't be getting anymore

Surprisingly a very clean location with friendly staff that make accurate, tasty orders.
We had to come here as soon as the Mexican Pizza made a return. It was as good as I remember it being! Cheesy, crunchy, and savory.
Mobile ordering is fast and easy as well.

Clean and professional place, but what I don’t like is one of the guys cleaning while I’m eating. Please stop doing that, but other than that the area was clean the staff behind the counter were nice and professional. I will come again again.

I got off the train from LaGuardia airport at 125th St. and just a few steps away on the same block is this pizza place and it’s only two dollars a slice and they also take credit card not to cash. So if you’re starving and you don’t mind, the quick, not the best quality pizza and not much cheese, this is a great option. It filled my belly and I was able to get to the next part of my travels. There is no air conditioning in the summertime and there is no warm fuzzy atmosphere, but it is very efficient for hunger. Nice staff! The pizza is not bad either.

This pizza by the slice restaurant really hits the spot when you’re looking for affordable pizza that is solid.
For $4.75, you can get 2 large slides of cheese pizza and a fountain drink. This is the perfect amount of food to keep you satisfied.
The restaurant didn’t have much variety available when we went, at 9pm on a Friday night, but what they did have available was still fresh.
Gourmand - 3 years ago
Small place, former 1 dollar slice franchise. Lately, name changed, the price increased 100% and now $2 slice. The size of the slice didn’t change. The lousy service didn’t change. Yeah, there is no lines anymore, but service still need some improvements.
