The best steak I have EVER had. My girlfriend and I went for our anniversary and we were met with wonderful service, stellar appetizers and like I said- the best steak I’ve ever had in my life. We shared the 40 day dry aged porterhouse for 2. Worth every penny.

I’ve been here many times. The kobe burger is definitely the star of the show. The mashed potatoes as well. The bacon wrapped fillet was four stars. The season potatoes that come with it, not the best. Also, note that the ginger ale that they have there is literally made with extra ginger in it. It’s not Schweppes. Make sure you get that burger. It is worth the money.

A Wonderful Christmas Dinner Experience at Old Homestead
We recently had our Christmas dinner at Old Homestead for the second year in a row, and once again, we were thoroughly impressed. From the moment we walked in, the service was impeccable, with attentive staff who made sure every detail was taken care of. The food was outstanding—each dish was perfectly prepared, full of flavor, and made our holiday dinner feel extra special.
The accommodations were equally impressive. While the atmosphere was slightly dim, it added to the cozy, homely vibe, making it feel like we were enjoying a Christmas dinner in the comfort of our own home. It truly captured the essence of a warm holiday gathering.
A big thank you to the entire team at Old Homestead for making our celebration so memorable! We look forward to many more dinners here in the future.
With gratitude,
The staff at 2 Horatio St.

It is little different type of steak but so juicy and delicious. Nice atmosphere like cozy brownstone.
Staff looks nice but lack of communications unfortunately. Behind of my guest, I spoke to the other sever to let my server what dessert to order for surprise of my husband birthday. And his name! But the server did not know about what dessert i ordered and his name!

Sad to report but service at Old Homestead took a nose-dive. Based on my many fond memories eating here pre- covid I took my teenage son to join me on dinner at this old and traditional steak establishment.
The place was empty on a snowy/rainy Sunday night and eating on the second floor. We came in ready to eat meat and immediately ordered our steaks and sides - no appetizers. Figuring with not many customers we should be able to get our main courses immediately. Was I wrong. Ordered our steaks at 710pm and didn’t get our steaks until 50 minutes later.
The bone in rib-eye was fine but the sides were a mess. Whats up with the fried eggs on the hash brown potatoes? Broccoli was un-seasoned.
There is just too many options in the city for Steak and unfortunately this will live its best days in my memories.

I had an amazing Middle Eastern dinner at Zizi in Chelsea.
They have a martini happy hour from 3:30 - 6:30 so we started off with a lemon drop martini and a luxardo cherry martini.
For appetizers we had the fennel confit with labneh, tempura artichokes, and grilled cabbage with a salad of snow peas, asparagus & arugula with a tahini dressing. For our main course, the grilled branzino.
Everything was delicious and the service was excellent! A special shout out to Orin and Maria.
The one downside is that by 7pm, the restaurant gets very crowded and loud. I will definitely go back, but a lot earlier!

We visited this restaurant as a group of five after hearing some great things about it. We ended up ordering a variety of dishes to share and were excited to try everything. Overall, it was a nice experience ,a few of the dishes really stood out, especially because they had a comforting, home-style flavor. I personally appreciated that the seasoning wasn’t too salty, which made everything feel a bit more wholesome.
That said, there were two or three dishes that tasted a bit more average and didn’t leave much of an impression. (ceviche and falafel) They weren’t bad, just a little underwhelming compared to the rest.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was decent, nothing too fancy, but warm and casual, which worked well for a relaxed night out with friends.

Firstly, the waitress from Venezuela was superb: she aimed to please, she was friendly and witty. The young man who greeted us was from Colombia. Both were amiable. Architecturally, they try to give you a Mediterranean vibe. On food, if it had matched the quality of service this place would be five stars. My guest enjoyed his meal. I was told I must come here for brunch which I have not done and since I live in Chelsea I will give it a try. For the price the food was good.

We love Zizi! Food, drink, service 10 out of 10!!
The owner is super nice and gave our puppy some delicious chicken from the kitchen.
We ordered the eggplant carpaccio, overnight lamb, and Moroccan sea bass. So yummy 😋 especially the lamb.
For cocktail, I had the gin martini- forgot the name but very delicate and balanced as well. Would recommend this place for sure if you want authentic Israeli/ Mediterranean food.

After the closing of Dos Caminos in SoHo this is probably my favorite Dos Caminos in the city. Great location in the Meatpacking District. Nice outdoor seating (even with the current scaffolding) that catches the afternoon sun. My shrimp enchiladas were delicious as was the Pacifico beer. If you dine here often, make sure to sign up for the Landry's Select Club which offers great loyalty rewards and definitely provides you with preferred treatment at the Dos Caminos restaurants.

Happy, lively and welcoming atmosphere. I loved that they were ready for Halloween. What a great place! The enchiladas were good.
I was cold. They had run out of tea, so our friendly server brought me a small pitcher of hot water... with a smile of course. Just a great place that I'm happy to recommend...
Especially after such a disappointing time at Artechouse exhibit, this place was a star. Highly recommend.

MEATPACKING DISTRICT, NY - I recently discovered Dos Caminos, and I have to say it's one of the best spots in Manhattan for amazing Mexican cuisine and drinks. The outdoor seating along the charming cobblestone street is just fantastic. Personally, I can't get enough of their flavorful fajitas and their wide variety of drinks and snacks. And if you have a sweet tooth, you've got to try their Dark Chocolate Tamal - it's a must! The service is always top-notch, the food is consistently delicious, and the atmosphere is fantastic. Whether it's lunch, dinner, or weekend brunch, Dos Caminos is definitely worth a visit. And with over 150 tequilas to choose from, it's the perfect place to party in the Meatpacking District

We visited Dos Caminos this past Sunday for a Birthday brunch. It’s our second time visiting this location. We like the area because of the lively vibe and atmosphere. Staff is welcoming and friendly. The restaurant itself is nicely situated.
Our initial cocktails at the bar downstairs were delicious but then the standard dropped. I had three or four cocktails and they got sweeter and I couldn’t tell whether they had any alcohol. They had no effect on me whatsoever. The food is on point but our server got a few things wrong on my order. I had the taco tour and requested two grilled and two battered along with the chicken. They all came out battered. We also had desserts which everyone seemed pleased with. Overall everyone had a good time and food was plentiful and affordable.

We met for dinner at Cafeteria in Chelsea. Pretty relaxed place, friendly staff, nothing too fancy—which I actually liked. We came especially to try their mac & cheese. It’s not really my kind of food, but honestly, it was really good! Creamy and rich—I totally get why people love it. The menu is very American, with some seafood and other options too.
I asked if they had a whole wheat option for bread, but they didn’t. Only gluten-free or served in a lettuce leaf. Not a big deal, but it would be great to have that for people following an ADA-friendly diet.
The food was tasty, not trying to be upscale or anything. A good spot for a casual night out goth friends

Our experience at Cafeteria was absolutely incredible! We had a group of 8 women visiting New York for a girls’ trip, and from the moment we arrived, the energy, hospitality, and service were top-tier. Nicholas was an absolute joy — so warm and attentive — and every staff member we interacted with made us feel genuinely cared for.
We ordered a wide variety of food and drinks, and everything came out perfectly. Our table enjoyed espresso martinis, hot peppermint tea, sodas, waters, a fried chicken thigh sandwich with Gouda mac and cheese, eggs Benedict with spinach and prosciutto, a steak sandwich, fried mac and cheese egg rolls, a cheeseburger, fish and chips, and even had frozen cosmos. Every bite and sip was absolutely delicious — flavorful, fresh, and beautifully plated.
The vibe was lively yet relaxed, making it the perfect spot to celebrate our day in the city. Cafeteria truly delivered an unforgettable experience, and we can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend to anyone looking for incredible food, stellar service, and a memorable time in New York!

My mom and I stopped in here because we are big Sex and the City fans and wanted to dine in a restaurant we saw on the show during our visit to NYC. We didn't have a reservation but we were able to walk in and be seated right away. The service was great -- we loved our waitress and loved their energy. Loved the extensive menu and large wine list! We had mimosas and brunch and it was delightful. Great little place and would love to come back someday.

I got the green juice which was also great! We’ll definitely go back- in a matter of days so we can try more of the menu and see the kind staff! 😊

Edit since I can't reply: I verified the prices for the meat and non-meat options before posting my review. They are $17.99 and $15.99, respectively. Leaving a mid-range review for mid-range service is, in my opinion, not "bashing". Given the owner's condescending response I think a 3-star is more than the business deserves.
Original post:
Below average breakfast burrito and bad coffee. The menu prices when ordering pickup through their preferred app are higher than what’s posted on-site, which I found dishonest.

Been here several times and it's my favorite!! The gimmick of the secret entrance is fun every time. Inside, the atmosphere is perfection. Each time I've gone, the wait staff and bartenders are extremely nice and helpful. Wonderful service--it really stands out as special here because of the people who work there. The menu looks limited but they're very skilled and will make any classic cocktails you want. Last time I also tried the salads and was surprised at how amazing the food was also. Reservations are a good idea for weekends or after 7pm, it seems. :)

I went here a few years ago on a date and really loved the croquettes. I remember the polenta was just okay, but I wasn’t raving about it. What I loved were the croquettes that made me come back for more. Through out the years, the quality has decreased a tad but it’s still a favorite for a happy hour. I just learned recently that they have HH until 7pm and I was able to get a great deal! I got the mix but I think I liked the mushroom slightly more. The dip is sooo good and I definitely want to re-make at home. I also got the happy hour red sangria. It tasted like juice. Wish it had more oomph to it. Not sure if I’d get it again.
It seems like a very local spot & definitely local owned. I recommend giving it a try but better off with a group of friends to sample versus going solo.

Phenomenal Spanish tapas restaurant! La Nacional has been one of my friend's favorite NYC restaurants for the last three years, and I can absolutely see why -- the food is incredible and relatively affordable (especially for Chelsea Market), and the vibes are immaculate.
We came by for dinner on a Friday evening, and the place was absolutely bustling. Both floors were completely packed, but we thankfully had a reservation so were able to make it to our spot, a cute little two-top nestled in the corner of the second floor, with ease. We were seated right next to the curtain, which opens up to reveal a live band during the weekends -- our server made a great pitch for the live music, so we'll have to be back some other time to get the full experience.
We split a few dishes, including the patatas bravas, croquettes, green mac and cheese, and seafood paella. The portions were massive, so this was more than enough food for the two of us, and could have easily fed a third person and/or been our lunch for the next day. The patatas bravas were super crispy, with a delightfully soft, fluffy interior, and they were served on a giant, boat-like platter that stretched across our entire table. The potatoes were dotted with dollops of two sauces, a slightly spicy and tangy red sauce and a lovely aioli. The same aioli was served with the croquettes, which were perfectly crispy and oozing with gooey, melted cheese.
The green mac and cheese was similarly oozing with gooey, melted cheese, which coated the perfectly soft noodles alongside the various green veggies and herbs mixed into the sauce. The little cast iron skillet was then topped with another layer of melted and broiled cheese, and the entire dish was decadent, with a bit of a unique twist and hint of freshness from the herbs and veggies. The paella was, of course, phenomenal, as to be expected from any Spanish restaurant. The rice was super flavorful and had a slight bite, especially the slightly charred bits at the bottom of the pan. It was topped with a generous helping of assorted seafood, including mussels, squid, and shrimp. A small squeeze of lemon added a hint of brightness to the dish, making it the perfect centerpiece to the meal.

The majority of the dishes we ordered were pretty good. My friends ordered the paella and they were not impressed with it. I would stick to the tapas. The service and the bartender were very good.

One of the best values in the city. This Valencia inspired restaurant features an amazing atmosphere, warm service and AMAZING FOOD. I’ve been meaning to try this place for a while, and, after randomly meeting Chef Paco, I decided it was time. I was not disappointed. It was a Saturday night and the place was packed. The tapas were tasty, the paella was on point and the mocktails were marvelous. The open kitchen and bar make the place look smaller than it is. Theres plenty of space for big parties upstairs and a private room in the back. The upstairs features amazing club like atmosphere and is big enough to have a wedding party of about 70 (I’m currently shopping a venue for a reception dinner so I asked). The most impressive thing was the tab- there were six of us and we went crazy on ordering: 5 mocktails, a beer or two, charcuterie plate, 6 tapas, 2 salads, a large seafood paella with chicken and chorizo (add on), and almost every dessert on the menu (I hate flan but this flan changed my mind- it’s a must try). The bill came to about $60 a person with tax and tip!!! No wonder the place is packed, this value is unparalleled in the city. 6 stars out of 5. Will be back often.

I came here for brunch because it was highly recommended. Service is good and the drinks were phenomenal. It's first come first served and even though my large party was late they were able to see us all together by the grace of gods. The food itself was just okay. The steak from the steak and eggs was basic. The chicken was really tasty from the chicken and waffles. The other dishes lacked some flavor which was a bit disappointing although they were good. I may return but mainly to try other dishes as this place was rated pretty highly by others.

The flavors were impressive. The MAC & CHICHARRON was a real standout. It looked like a calorie bomb but tasted just as amazing. The little pieces of meat inside were tasty. They were a bit salty but paired really well with the macaroni. The pork skin added a satisfying crunch. The CAMARONES CIENFUEGOS was another highlight. The quinoa had a firmer texture than regular white rice, but it matched the seasoning of the dish really well. The portion balance between the dish and the quinoa was just right, making sure every bite was flavorful. The CHURRASCO was solid as well. The beef was a little dry, but the seasoning helped make up for it. As for the Mexican soda, it tasted pretty similar to regular soda. I ordered it just out of curiosity. If you are not particularly interested in trying something different, regular soda will do just fine.
The restaurant had a lively, energetic vibe that made the experience even better. I would definitely come back.

Such a great place the vibes are fantastic. This place is a great diner with so many options. Would highly recommend the oxtail empanada. The chicken and waffles was super interesting (the chicken is marinated in tea) but by the end was a bit too sweet (though the waffle was perfect). Same with the Cubano it was good but missing a bit of pickle forwardness. Would definitely go back to try more things because everything looked good and interesting.
Zoe Inbar - a month ago
The only highlight was the oxtail empanadas—they were genuinely delicious and packed with flavor even though one of the orders was missing the green sauce. Everything else was a disappointment. The skirt steak was overly fatty and unpleasant to eat, and the rice and beans that accompanied it were bland. The lomo saltado, which I was really looking forward to, lacked seasoning, it just didn’t deliver.
On a positive note, the service was excellent. Still, great service can only do so much when the food doesn’t measure up. I wouldn’t come back—even if Rihanna recommended it.

🌙✨ Late-night cravings? SOLVED.
Coppelia, located at 207 W 14th St in NYC, is a 24-HOUR CUBAN DINER that absolutely slaps. No other way to describe it — this place is a certified banger. 🔥🇨🇺
Started off with their Oxtail Empanada and let me tell you… WOW. The sweet plantain dough? Magic. Braised oxtail melting inside, topped with crema, queso fresco, pico de gallo, and a little salsa verde action? Just chef’s kiss. 💥💚
Then came the Lomo Saltado — unbelievably tender, salty, slightly sweet, and available 24/7 (yes, seriously). Perfectly cooked beef meets lightly caramelized crunchy French fries, bone-dry rice, and that savory, stewed tomato sauce that hits every comfort button. 🥩🍅🍟
Coppelia is a Cuban diner with a big, beautiful bar and vibes for days. Whether it’s 2PM or 2AM, this spot should be in everyone’s NYC food rotation.

The best sandwiches I’ve ever had at a British tea restaurant. 11/10 food. The dessert brings my tongue into a blissful state. Friendly staff. I appreciate that they don’t go up to the table every 5 seconds like lots of restaurants do. They allow you to sit peacefully to yourself without filling up your cup with water without your permission. A relaxing aesthetically pleasing atmosphere and the decor is stunning

Afternoon tea for 1 is an absolute bounty of food for $60. Came with a slice of cake, cupcake, 3 scones, 9 small finger sandwiches, and an ample pot of tea. Scones came with clotted cream and jam and were wonderfully buttery and crumbly. Cutest little shop albeit small. It’s quite cozy.

If you England and looking for that place that is like home then I recommend Tea and Sympathy. The restaurant is small but charming, a bit on the noisy since everyone is seated shoulder to shoulder. The outside build out is a bit much bigger, so there is that. Now on to the food the afternoon tea for one is a lot there is no way one person can get through all those scones , finger sandwiches and cakes. But they all tasted delicious the clotted cream jam and scones was a winner for me. The tea can be a bit hotter but it was great. You can also get typical Brit dishes there also nextdoor there is the shop that sells all the British goodies that one is accustomed too. Service was great and the ambiance will remind you of a typical neighborhood British spot.

I always love a good home cooked meal—even if it costs three times tge price of one. The atmosphere of the restaurant is what I believe attracts most people to it. The food itself is good but not in a “omg I NEED to eat this again” way. The Shepards pie was a little bland, the chicken pot pie a little soupy, and the side of peas felt lack luster. The flavors were mostly on point though. My absolute favorite was the spiced ginger cake. It was warm and had a perfect spice level which dissipated with the warm custard. I can only accurately describe it as a warm hug by your favorite grandma.

I LOVED this place! Quaint, quirky, and charming. The staff in both the restaurant and store are so friendly.
I had the steak pie which was the best I have ever eaten... same chef for 20+ years. My friend had Fish and Chips... a monstrous portion.
We shared a Sticky Toffee Pudding and shopped at the gift shop before leaving.
I look forward to returning. If you live near hear... GO!
