One of the restaurant options in the area offering many kinds of dishes. Food was good in general yet certain staff were inpatient even it was not a busy time.
💚💛Green eggs and ham was surprisingly good! The pesto flavor went so well with the eggs. Ham was fine.
Blueberry lemon pancakes were kinda a classic. Like the ricotta part yet the pancake itself was slightly dry.

It had been a while since I came by Cafeteria for a bite. Originally, it was for the late night after the bar inebriated meal, this time it was for an adult meal and dinner.
I came by with no reservation and thankfully was able to get seated after a few minutes. After being seated, my friend and I got right into it. Neither of us were that hungry so we kept it pretty light with mostly starters and drinks.
Ordered the espresso martini to kickstart the evening as well as the deviled eggs, mac and cheese sampler trio, brussel sprouts, calamari and Cobb salad. All were delicious, especially the deviled eggs and mac and cheese sampler.
The place was pretty busy that night and almost every table was taken which was a surprise for me as the day before when I checked it seemed to be fully available. Guess you never know what to expect in New York City. This definitely gave it that lively New York energy I recalled. The only thing that could’ve been better was our server. Feel like he barely came by or was present for the meal.

Had such an amazing experience at the cafeteria restaurant with my book club today 🤍
From the moment we walked in, the environment was welcoming, cozy, and just overall a great vibe — especially on a cold, rainy day. The staff truly made the entire visit stand out. The manager was incredible — so friendly and attentive, making sure we were comfortable while we waited for our table, which honestly made such a difference.
Once seated, everything flowed perfectly. Our food came out quickly and was absolutely delicious, and the drinks were just as good. You can really tell when a place takes pride in both their food and service.
And I have to shout out our server, Dylan LL he was so much fun, attentive, and genuinely made the whole experience even better. He did such a great job with our table and really made our visit memorable.
I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend 🤍

My friend and I stopped by for a lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We were seated outside very quickly. Service was great! Our waiter (Dyllan V.) was so sweet, patient, and stylish! We had great conversation with him and our food honestly came pretty quick for nyc. Food was great, we ateeeeee it up! Great place to go if you’re in the area.

I had a wonderful brunch at Cafeteria. We lucked out with parking right in front of the restaurant and were seated right away. The food was excellent. The Crispy Rock Shrimp was the highlight of the meal and one of the best versions I have ever had. We also ordered the Truffled Eggs, the Eggs Benedict, the Rude Margarita, and the Blood Orange Margarita. Everything was fresh and full of flavor.
Service started off a little uneven because our first server was not the friendliest, but thankfully Gino took over and completely changed the experience. He was warm, attentive, and very kind. His service really made the visit memorable.
Overall this was a great brunch and I would definitely return the next time I am in New York.

ZZ's was one of the most fun dinners we've had in NYC in a long time. The energy hits you the moment you walk in. From the warm welcome by the staff to the owner making the rounds, it feels less like a restaurant and more like being invited to a very cool friend's dinner party—one where everyone genuinely wants you to have a great time.
The food absolutely delivers. The flavors are bold, vibrant, and memorable across the board, and the cocktails are playful, creative, and delicious. Our server, Emmet, was a rockstar, somehow keeping a party of 13 demanding (but polite!) Persians happy and well-fed all night without missing a beat. The service was phenomenal—attentive, friendly, and effortlessly professional.
There were so many highlights, but the eggplant steak was a revelation. It redefines what an eggplant dish can be: smoky, substantial, beautifully textured, and finished with just the right amount of heat. The ceviche may have been my favorite dish of the night—super fresh fish, layers of flavor, a perfect kick of spice, and a green sauce I'll probably still be thinking about for months. The overnight lamb was another standout and a hit at the table. The appetizers, especially the crazy baba and fried artichokes w/ an incredible aioli, disappeared almost instantly.
What makes ZZ's special isn't just the food—it's the combination of great hospitality, infectious energy, and genuinely exciting cooking. Our group had all kinds of preferences, and everyone left happy. That's not easy to pull off.
We loved discovering this place and can't wait to come back. Thanks for a truly memorable meal.

Wow! One of the best mediterranian I had in a while. We were a party of 3, walked in without reservation and had to sit at the bar. Not too bad tho. We ordered bone marrow, chicken shawarma and overnight lambs. All tasted great, 2 main dishes can be shared for 3 people I think. Solid service and ambiance was nice. I love their twist on the free mint cucumber water!

I came into Zizi‘s bar at 4 PM on a Monday. The second I walked and I felt so welcomed the study of this place is so beautiful it makes you feel so comfortable. The music is so good in terms of and not being too loud or too quiet. It just feels right. The bartender that I met was Maria and she made the drink so well they have a great happy hour menu. I got the lychee martini and the martini Mela phone. The owner was also there he was super accommodating and gave me two shots on the house I could not be more grateful. I’m telling you right now. I’ve been in the city my whole life. If you do not check this place out you’ll regret go check it out. The drinks are great atmosphere is amazing yourself a favor and go check it out.

Nice little spot with pretty good food. Went with a large group and very accommodating- was able to go with large party at later hour which was nice. Staff was amazing and good size location. We enjoyed various Mediterranean dishes that were goo quality such as feta, dips, cauliflower, and lamb bites. Overall really solid spot with good service and food

Second time here and everything was amazing. We came here for brunch and had: halloumi, hummus (so good), babagsnush (could have done without) grilled cheese (a little too salty), shakshuka, the TLV breakfast and tiramisu. Everyone loved their dishes. Will return when in the neighborhood.

Came for the famous burrito, it was good, loved the tater tots inside and fluffy eggs, felt like it needed some more flavor and maybe needs some toasting.
Having said that, it’s a really cute place with some outdoor seating and very nice and friendly service!

Nice quaint spot to get your morning fix. Oat milk latte with some cinnamon and a very intriguing breakfast sandwich. Egg, mushroom and goat cheese great flavor. If you are walking by give a shot, if you live in the neighborhood make it a staple.

Was recommended the breakfast burrito but I was left disappointed.
The avocado could have used more salt + acid, and it was all lumped in the center, good quantity though.
I think there was only like 2 slices of bacon and 3 tater tots in it.
The burrito could have been toasted / griddled IMO for the price ($15.5).
It is nice that the default price doesn't include meat though.

It had been a while since I had the pleasure of experiencing Westville. The last place I lived at had one in the lobby and it quickly became one of my go-to’s for its healthy, delicious food and when I’d go in person, amazing and friendly service.
I went back again to this location after marching in the NYC Pride Parade last weekend and was automatically reminded what makes this place special. They have people who seem to very much enjoy working there, and a fun, laid back vibe.

Exceptional Dining at Westville Chelsea
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Westville Chelsea continues to be a standout gem in the neighborhood, delivering a dining experience that perfectly balances a relaxed atmosphere with high-quality, market-fresh ingredients, healthy made delicious !
From the moment you walk in, the energy is infectious; the hostess and bar staff are incredibly welcoming, and the vibrant servers ensure that every need is met with a genuine smile and efficiency.
The menu is a masterclass in elevated comfort food. We started with the Cheeseburger, which was cooked to a perfect, juicy medium and served on a fresh bun that held up beautifully to the toppings. It’s a classic done right. For the main, the Parmesan Crusted Chicken Breast was a highlight—the breading was crisp and savory, providing a wonderful texture contrast to the tender chicken.
The sides at Westville are legendary for a reason. The Red Beets with Goat Cheese offered a bright, earthy sweetness that paired perfectly with the creamy tang of the cheese. To round it all out, the Garlic Mashed Potatoes were smooth, buttery, and packed with just the right amount of roasted garlic punch.
Whether you are stopping by for their creative cocktails and drinks or a full sit-down dinner, the consistency here is remarkable. It is clear the kitchen cares deeply about the "fresh" philosophy. If you are looking for a reliable, delicious, and lively spot in Chelsea, this is it. I’ll definitely be back soon!

Great varied menu with plenty of options. My friends were really happy with their vegetarian and vegan dishes, but unfortunately, I chose the Carnitas Bowl. The rice was very dry and the pork was tasteless - honestly, the dish alone would have earned a lower rating. I’d come back to try something else since my friends enjoyed theirs, but I’ll definitely skip the carnitas next time.

Scrumptious! Beets w goat cheese and walnuts, Brussels, yucca fries, and a melt in your mouth grilled cheese:) Service was terrific. I thought the lovely server was the owner. She said she loves working there, and you can tell! It’s a very kind, welcoming, and relaxing experience. 💐

We went to this spot for brunch since it’s close to our office and had good reviews. To be honest, the food was fine—nothing bad, but nothing particularly memorable either. What really impacted my impression was the overall vibe. The space felt outdated, a bit cold, and there was an off smell that day, which didn’t help.
The menu focused on healthy options, which is great in theory, but it felt a bit too limited—I found myself wishing for a few more choices. Pricing was around $20–25 for a main dish, which is pretty standard, but felt a bit steep for a casual weekday lunch.
At this point, I don’t see myself going back, and I’d rather explore other spots nearby. That said, if you haven’t been, it might still be worth checking out—just go in with low expectations.

We are regulars and love the place for its nice vibe, great vines and friendly staff.
I hosted my wife's surprise birthday party there the other night for around 30 guests. Management and staff were very professional and helpful in the planning process. Service on the night was excellent and friendly, which all of our guests - many from out of town - echoed. Food received high praises as well.
Recommend the bar for your bottle(s) of wine with the other half and /or friends but also for small parties.
Thank you, Frederick, Julien and team for a wonderful night!

Great place to have a nice drink and chat. We stopped by to end the night and had a great time speaking with Dara, our bartender. She makes the best drinks and has me hooked on that lavender drink. Thank you, Dara, for being friendly and funny to go along with your mixologist skills.

Limelight Pizza is hands down one of the best pizza spots in NYC and an absolute must-visit for food lovers! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with the heavenly aroma of coal-fired perfection. Every dish is thoughtfully crafted and bursting with flavor.
We started with the garlic knots, which were dripping in mozzarella and served with an indulgent vodka sauce—seriously, the cheese pull was next-level! The fresh antipasto platter was a fantastic addition, featuring high-quality imported prosciutto and perfectly oven-roasted peppers. We also tried their homemade meatballs smothered in melted mozzarella, which were incredibly tender and flavorful.
The highlight of the meal was their Hot Honey-drenched After Hours pizza. It was a true flavor explosion, combining the perfect balance of sweet and spicy with their perfectly crisp coal-fired crust. It’s the kind of pizza you dream about long after the last bite!
One of the best things about Limelight Pizza is that they’re open late on weekends (until 4 AM!), making it the perfect spot to satisfy your midnight cravings. The atmosphere is lively and inviting, and the staff is friendly and attentive, adding to the overall experience.
Whether you're grabbing a slice, sharing a late-night feast, or indulging in their legendary calzones, Limelight Pizza delivers every single time. Highly recommend visiting this iconic NYC gem—bring your crew and prepare to be wowed!

Went with the original NY personal for a late lunch, absolutely delicious! Plenty of cheese c sweet, herby sauce, perfectly charred but chewy crust. A must have if you want to stop for a pie. And the 12in is the perfect personal pizza or a nice size for 2 to split!

The first time I saw this place it looked so cool outside. I saw it was a brick oven pizzeria and I had to go in and try it. Once inside it’s a bit smaller than it seems and a little underwhelming. I tried their Original Margarita and their famous clam pie. The clam pie was interesting it has clams, fresh garlic, olive oil, and Parmesan cheese. If you worried about the clams don’t they don’t overpower the pizza the garlic overpowers it more. It was a pretty good pie. I would most definitely get it again and suggest it. Their margarita pizza was ok I was expecting fresh bail on it but I saw none. Their famous sauce had a different taste than their regular pizza sauce I’d say more of a subtle taste nothing really standing out I’ve most definitely have had better pies than that, but apparently Frank Sinatra made famous. I also had their garlic bread and it was a lot of garlic an overwhelming garlic flavor but I love that. I would say their pizza is most definitely some good pies 4 out of 5 but I gave a less star because of service and a dirty water glass was served at our table that we had to get replaced. Honestly I was expecting more but overall it’s most definitely better pizza than most other pizza places around.

Got a special Neapolitan small pie, which has good 8 pieces. It has a white base not a marinara one, it tasted good overall. Also got garlic bread, which was soft and nice. It is a big space, the entrance is a bit quiet and weird but it is pretty inside. The prices are reasonable, service is okay.

We just randomly saw this place, 0 expectations. But let me tell you. It was the best Italian food we have ever had. My last meal before I die would be their Caesar salad. I wish I can order more. If you love anchovy, this salad is the BOMB. Amazing flavor, fresh ingredients. I’m speechless. Pasta was amazing, but Caesar salad was otherworldly. And funny thing—I don’t even really like salad in general.
Service was amazing, ambiance was very nice. We came at 4pm so it was still empty and we sat by the window.

Warm décor, delicious food, and fabulous staff. They were so sweet and promptly brought us our food. We ordered the fried calamari & zucchini chips to start, chicken parmesano, chicken meatball dish, and truffle mac and cheese. We finished with the tiramisu, Cioccolatissimo, and Crème Brûlée. It's rare to find a place where every dish is enjoyable. The Crème Brûlée was my favorite. It was so smooth! Best tiramisu I've had in quite some time. The flavors and textures were well balanced. This is one of those rare places where every dish was exceptional and we didn't experience a long wait for anything. We also weren't bombarded with plates and overlapping dishes/courses. Every course had impeccable timing and was the perfect temperature. For instance, we just finished the last chip in the starter and table was cleared for the sizzling mac and cheese that we heard making it's way from the kitchen. I appreciate the attention to detail. In other restaurants, I hate waiting too long because I feel like I'm going to be there all night and I can't stand being rushed so staff can flip the table. They made us feel welcome but it seems they understood that we don't live there lol. My favorite part is being allowed to rest our food after this culinary experience! It wasn't difficult to ask for the check and they brought us our bags the moment we stood up without us asking. Reminds me of the quality of service I grew up with experiencing on Mulberry street in the 90s. Comfortable, delicious, genuinely warm/welcoming, and easy going but attentive. I didn't think I'd encounter the quality of service we received in this place. Not that I doubted them specifically! Lol. It's just so rare to have a pleasant experience from beginning to end. The décor definitely adds to that 90s NYC vibe but it's part of its charm. So that's a plus, for me. Nostalgic but not completely outdated.
The entire staff collaborated very well together to tend to every table. I was advised to reserve a table but I'm not sure we needed to because we dined early at 6pm. But the reservation didn't hurt. If you eat the way we did, be prepared to spend a pretty penny if you visit with a party of 4+ even if no one drinks. For the quality of food, I find it pretty affordable if your group just gets one dish each because times are hard. In this economy? Sometimes we have to make sacrifices lol. But if you can hack it, try as many dishes as you can possibly afford lol. Great wine selections, also!
A huge thank you to the staff at Le Zie for making my mother's 69th birthday dinner a memorable one. I hope to be back soon for the Chicken Liver Pâté Crostini and Yellowfin Tuna Ravioli!

We ordered the Lomo Saltado ($30), Shrimp and Grits ($28), Mofongo Con Constilla ($30), Churrasco ($29), Steak Frites ($32), Ceviche ($17), and Dulce De Leche Pancakes ($17). Almost every dish was amazing, but the lomo saltado is the star of the show. The combination of the beef short rib, onions, tomato, and fries along with the sauces is perfect. The beef is extremely tender and the dish is super flavorful. It’s worth going to Coppelia just to eat the lomo. For brunch, the shrimp and grits is really solid too, but a bit pricey for just four shrimps. The pancake was amazing too. For the dinner entrees, the churrasco and steak frites are also really good. Coppelia does a good job on all their dishes and I’m a huge pan. Overall, I would 100% recommend this place.

This restaurant is located in a very touristy area and is advertised as a Cuban restaurant. While they do serve traditional Cuban dishes, the menu also seems influenced by other Latin cuisines, giving it more of a fusion feel.
They did a very good job with the ropa vieja dish. The coffee was good as well, although the dessert selection was somewhat limited. Prices were reasonable and not overly expensive.
The restaurant is open 24 hours, and even around midnight there were still many patrons, which created a lively and energetic atmosphere. Overall, I enjoyed the experience and will return again.

Wet summer night in the city. Late night hunger pangs are a persistent pain in my patootie!!! But, unlike my other trips to the big apple, i am not staying near my usual haunt... Times Square
The meatpacking district is quiet. Cobbled stone street leads me away thru solitude and shadow. This is not the city I recognize... must find energy and excitement!!!!
The Coppelia, jauntily sitting on the corner of kitsch and charisma. Music spilling through the front door. Lights hinting at mischief and merriment.
I sit at the bar and get a friendly keeper instantly. A G&T is on its way in a tall glass. A bottle of water and a half pour placed within reach.
"Whats good", I ask
"Everything"
"Ox tail empanada then"
I suck on Hendricks as I peruse the menu. This place is open 7x24 - so u get breakfast, soup, sandwiches, arepas, mains, enchiladas... everything latin and yes a cubano...
I glance around the long space... about half full.. bot not sleepy. People come here and greet each other warmly... politics being discussed behind. Futbol in the cirner booth. I struggle for the feel... and then it hits me.
COMMUNITY!!!!
Thats the vibe... u dont have to know people to belong here... u just gotta flow with what the place is dealing...
My empanada is divine... the sweetness of plantain, the briskness of the cheese, the deep deep taste of the beef.
Ropa Vieja is what I choose for the main... with a side if the spiciest condiment you have please.
15 minutes later arrives this no frills plate of deliciousness!!! Black beans and rice accompany the beef stew. It has that bite from the vinegar that is a must for all good ropa vieja. This has to have been cooling all day.
I eat every last bite. This mountain of a man stands next to me at the bar getting some change abd notices me shoveling this plate into my mouth
"Good, eh"
I nod
" I eat that at least once a week"
"That is your great good luck" I offer back
He moves on

If you want a lively vibe in a quiet neighborhood, where the food matches the warmth and depth of familiar comfort and camaraderie.
Make your way to the Coppelia.

Had a gift certificate so decided to try brunch here. Sat at the bar easily on a Sunday morning around 10am, no wait. Food is fine - could be hotter. Had to flag waiter down a few times for more coffee and check. Definitely some character customers in here since they are open 24 hours (people ending their night here - still drunk). Not blown away, don’t think I’ll come back.

While I visited the restaurant a few years ago, it wasn't until a few weeks ago that I gave it another go...it is my new favorite go to spot!
The staff is welcoming and have become quick friends. The music is great. Highly recommend sitting at the bar (or table). The place is very LGBT welcoming.
The food is so tasty - with great portions. Love the steak and eggs (their breakfast is served all day), iced tea, red sangria, espresso martini, and their play on eggs Benedict. Love that you can see into the kitche where everything is being cooked!
Perfect place if you want an easy, casual hang out place...you can hear the laughter throughout the entire space. They are also open 24/7. Highly recommend.

A solid brunch spot that actually delivers.
Found this place through some research and good reviews — glad we trusted them. Made a reservation but the place was pretty quiet and relaxed, which was a nice vibe.
We ordered avocado toast, pancakes to share, and I got the breakfast bowl.
The pancakes were the highlight — fluffy, not dry, genuinely tasty. The avocado toast was very generous, well put together. The breakfast bowl had a lot of flavor and I appreciated the originality, though probably not something I’d order again.
Overall a great experience, and what really stood out was the price point — very reasonable compared to other trendy spots. Generous portions, good food, great service. Would definitely recommend!

Our experience with the American breakfast was truly positive. We were looking for a place to enjoy pancakes, and despite the long lines at the more famous spots, we ended up at a lesser-known place that pleasantly surprised us. The pancakes were amazing—delicious, hearty, and plentiful, though I couldn’t finish them all. I also ordered an oat milk latte, which arrived promptly in a lovely glass. The atmosphere was perfect for a brunch, and we felt right at home. Additionally, I tried a delicious French toast, and the portions were generous with great value for the price

Really nice spot for brunch. The food was delicious, people were friendly. My avocado toast was really good. A group of people who were sitting next to me were telling the waiter how much they loved the salads here and that ever since they tried it they would bring their friends to Grey Dog and everyone always likes it. I’ll be back.

Delicious breakfast at the Grey Dog and really kind service. We especially enjoyed the vegan egg option on top of the avocado toast. The bacon was super thick cut and absolutely delicious and the home fries were really tasty - we loved that they topped them with scallions. Large dining area, comfortable seating.

We had a great lunch at The Grey Dog Chelsea. The buttermilk fried chicken sandwich and the Big House Burger were both delicious. The service was awesome as well. Definitely recommend!

What an awesome old-school authentic spot! My wife and I had lunch here and absolutely loved the food, the ambiance and especially the incredible, lovely woman behind the bar, Eileen. We were trying to decide between the reuben and the BLT sandos and she quickly suggested doing a taste-off. Nice! So we ordered both and seriously they are LEGIT. Very generously sized, full of meat and fresh ingredients on delicious bread. And their side dishes are excellent as well, the potato salad and cole slaw were super. We'll definitely be back. Go!

The tradition lives on at this old‑school Irish pub. It’s a low‑key, no‑frills spot with that classic dive‑bar feel, and service is quick and friendly. The place has been around forever, and you can feel that history the moment you walk in.
They do have a full food menu — burgers, sandwiches, and pub staples — though we didn’t try the food this time. There’s something comforting about a bar that’s still here, still traditional, and still doing its thing. A fine stop for a casual drink and a bit of old New York character.

There is nothing better than your neighborhood bar and Peter McManus Cafe is one of the best in all of NYC. Located in the hearts of Chelsea, but with reasonable prices. I had the Cesar Salad with grilled chicken breast. Simple, but what I needed, nay, much more than I needed. This salad could have served two. The bartender was pleasant and provided good service.
This is a no frills cage, and could use some repairs and/or minor renovations. But. Too much would ruin its distinct atmosphere.

I came here for visits in 2011 and 2013 and it's my favourite drinking establishment in New York, mainly because it was used in one of my favourite movies: Highlander.
I get especially excited when I sit in the same place as the Highlander did.
I will be coming back here in a few years with my wife as it'll be her first time visiting New York.
The photo is from 2011 and I'm drinking a "Double Glenmorangie on the rocks".
