4 Star Rating This modern spot feels like an urban oasis, blending seamlessly into a spacious park setting. There are plenty of open-air tables, giving the place a relaxed and airy vibe. At night, string lights glow in the trees, creating a magical and surprisingly romantic atmosphere right in the middle of New York’s hustle and bustle. Shake Shack has locations all over the world, but enjoying it at the original location—surrounded by skyscrapers and fresh park air—feels truly special. It’s the perfect blend of where it all began and where it’s at its best. A must-visit when you’re in New York.

5 Star Rating Stopped by Shake Shack - Madison Square Park at night, and it was the perfect late-evening bite while walking the city. There’s something about grabbing food here after dark—the park is calm, the city lights are glowing, and it just feels very New York. The burgers lived up to the hype: hot, fresh, and full of flavor without being overdone. Fries were solid, and the shakes were a great finish, especially on a cold night. Even with people coming and going, the line moved quickly and everything felt well organized. What really made it special was the setting. Sitting in Madison Square Park at night, food in hand, watching the city move around you—it’s simple but memorable. It didn’t feel rushed or overly touristy, just a great spot to slow down for a bit and enjoy the moment. If you’re walking around Manhattan at night and want something reliable, casual, and genuinely good, this Shake Shack is an easy recommendation.

5 Star Rating It was a long lineup , which made me to think it should be a good place to try the food. I almost waited for 15-20 mins for order and get the Veggie burger. I loved the vibe which is a nice park and has bench to seat. I would say it was ok, but worth to stop and try because of the vibe.

5 Star Rating If I had to become a regular anywhere, this would be my pick. You can tell how impressive this restaurant is by the way they execute American cuisine—which, as you know, is usually my least favorite. But they absolutely nailed it. I was genuinely so pleased with everything. The farm chicken with the onion rings were standouts. Crispy, perfectly fried. The beef steak sandwich looked incredible, but I was way too full to even take a bite—so I’ll definitely be back and will keep you posted. The beef carpaccio was delicious, and while the mushrooms pasta were slightly salty, the creamy, flavorful sauce paired perfectly with the sweet potato bun. (This is their restaurant week menu!) And let me just say—the desserts are a must. You have to get the apple pie. It was amazing, especially with the hint of balsamic vinegar and Parmesan—holy moly!! The chocolate cake came with a woodside-flavored ice cream that I had never tried before, and I absolutely fell in love. The back room is stunning, and the service is easily the kind to deserve 30% tip—attentive, polished, and welcoming. This is also an amazing spot to bring your partner to meet the family!

5 Star Rating Excellent dinner from start to finish. The seasonal menu was thoughtful and well executed, with great balance and high-quality ingredients. The lamb main was cooked perfectly and full of flavor, and the overall pacing of the meal felt just right. Desserts were refined and not overly sweet. Professional service and a relaxed, elegant atmosphere. Would definitely return.

4 Star Rating Incredible service and vibes, but the food was a letdown. I visited on a Wednesday evening and the place was absolutely buzzing. I’d actually made a mistake with my reservation and accidentally booked the tasting menu, but I really had my heart set on the Tavern Burger. Despite it being packed, the staff was fantastic—they pivoted quickly and found me a spot at the bar so I could order from the Tavern menu. The energy here is truly infectious! Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the atmosphere. I was advised to get the burger medium-rare, but that was definitely not the move—it arrived borderline raw. If you order it, I’d strongly suggest going medium or medium-well. I also found the heavy "smoky" profile of both the aioli and the oysters to be pretty unappetizing. The saving grace was the cookie at the end. It was delicious (though very heavy!), but the malted chocolate milk it came with just tasted like regular milk. Overall, come for the service and the scene, but the kitchen was a miss for me.

3 Star Rating We had lunch at Gramercy Tavern on Sunday with a group of four, seated in the Tavern area rather than the formal dining room. The cocktails were a fantastic start—absolutely 5 out of 5. The staff was warm and attentive, and the atmosphere was lively and welcoming. The flatbread was excellent, one of the highlights of the meal. But overall, I was hoping for a bit more from the rest of the food. We tried the burger, pork shoulder, swordfish, tomato salad, and liver mousse. While some dishes were fine, the burger and pork shoulder in particular were disappointing and just didn’t hit the mark. The salad and mousse also felt a little ordinary. For a place with such a strong reputation—and at this price point—I expected the dishes to shine more. Still, the service and vibe were wonderful, which made the experience enjoyable overall. If I had to rate it: 5 stars for service and ambiance, but about 3 stars for the food, so overall a solid 3 stars.

5 Star Rating The Dining Room is perfect for a date as it is less crowded and reservations are easier to come by. The service was impeccable, and they even let us order the famous burger and cookie from the Tarven's menu. If you want to try their famous burger but can't get a reservation for the Tarven, give their Dining Room a try! But just keep in mind that you are unlikely to be able to order anything else besides the burger and desserts from the Tarven's menu, as they try to keep the two restaurants separate. Overall, while we had a great dining experience there, the famous burger didn't live up to its hype. It's nice, but nothing special. The cookie , on the other hand, was a winner! The Hanger Steak was delicious, tender and juicy, a little on the sweeter side. The bread was also very good 😋.

5 Star Rating I celebrated my 7 year business anniversary here and as soon as I arrived, I was taken care of. My table had a congratulatory artwork perched on a beautiful wooden stand. They knew details about me and my business. Everyone cheered for me, asked about the future of my company, and made sure I had an amazing time. It felt like a runway, servers swirling about rhythmically, and always on point. There was a hum of the city on the inside and a sense of slowness as each entree arrived. Before I left, I was even given a gift! The food was amazing!! I wanted more of everything yet I know it was portioned to perfection. The plant based entrees truly were awe-inspiring. After talking with various people, I realized I'll need to return during a different season and try more delicious dishes in the near future! Really grateful I chose to come here to celebrate and seeing table after table be saluted as well, it felt like the perfect place to be! Thanks to everyone who made it happen, made me feel welcome, and inspired me to reach higher!!

3 Star Rating Good experience, but not even close to worth the cost of the dinner. The food was very good, and the service was very good as well, but neither were to the standard that we expected for what was voted the best restaurant in the world. The sommelier talked us into a wine that was around double the price of a bottle we were looking at and it was just decent. He also promised us a glass of the cheaper wine we were looking at, but we never received that, and by the time we asked to speak with him he was gone. Besides the bread, which was the best bread I have ever had in my life, nothing else left a lasting positive impression on me. The kitchen tour, which we had to ask for, was pretty cool, but the kitchen tour at Alenia in Chicago is far and above a better experience. For a place that prides itself on customer service, it seemed as if you were bothering people to ask for things. I was even dumb enough to leave a 20% tip on top of my meal (maybe it was the overpriced wine bottle), and it seemed as if the staff was still learning. The one thing I would give them is if they did not know something they would not lie to you, but they would ask others. It was also cool to see how they move around the room in patterns. Unless they greatly improve, I think that there are much better dining experiences in the city for much more reasonable prices.

5 Star Rating Fine dining at its peak of perfection. This place is a 10/10. One of the most creative meals we’ve ever had utilizing ingredients that could be thought of as “plain” but executed with absolute perfection. Especially when you consider a majority of the meal is still plant based. Favorite bite of the night…The land caviar

5 Star Rating Came for Thursday night dinner with my son; we made a reservation for 6:30 on OpenTable and were immediately seated upon arrival. The restaurant had a really lively atmosphere with most tables already filled. Service was outstanding - super attentive, quick to reset the table with new clean dishes and flatware, really top notch from the waiter to the busboys. The manager came over at one point to check in with us and offered complimentary non alcoholic champagne which my son is now absolutely obsessed with! Overall 5 out of 5 stars.

5 Star Rating We had a fantastic evening at Barbounia. The place is vibrant, full of energy, and definitely on the lively side, so expect a fun atmosphere rather than a quiet dinner. Our waiter, Timur, made the night special. He was attentive, professional, and handled all of our allergy restrictions with real care. Every dish came out perfect, and you could tell he takes pride in what he does. If you can, try to sit in his section. Food highlights: • The red snapper was cooked perfectly, juicy and flavorful. • The short rib was slow cooked and melted in the mouth, one of the best I’ve had in a while. • For dessert, the tahini ice cream halva dish stood out. It had a unique texture and layered flavors that I’d highly recommend. The only miss for us was the Greek salad, which was heavy on dill and vinegar, throwing off the balance. Everything else was superb. Service, food, and ambiance all get top marks from me. The restaurant does get busy, so reservations are a good idea. If you’re looking for a place with great Mediterranean food, excellent service, and a buzzing scene, Barbounia is a solid choice

5 Star Rating This restaurant was recommended to us, and I’m genuinely thankful we decided to give it a try. From the moment we sat down, everything just felt right. When I say this was one of the best meals I’ve ever had, I truly mean it. Every dish we ordered was outstanding, from flavor to presentation, and you could tell a lot of care went into each plate. Beyond the food, the atmosphere was calm, warm, and incredibly relaxing, which made the whole experience even better. It’s the kind of place that reminds you how special a really great meal can be. 5 Star Rating Cannot say how great our experience was! Cocktail list was interesting and the drinks were well made. For food- It’s rare that the bread service blows you away. It was soft, crispy-crusted, flavorful, and included a unique and very tasty spread. For appetizers, the broccoli was highly recommended and I now understand why. Tuna was solid and had a unique flavor to it but nothing out of this world. For mains, the lamb rack and duck pasta were spectacular. We sat upstairs and our server, Mike, gave fantastic service. I highly recommend you test this place out and ask for Mike!

5 Star Rating Dined at Union Square Cafe and had a really good overall experience. The French toast with the citrus salad was very nice and well balanced not too sweet, and the citrus added a really refreshing contrast. I also had the pasta with clams, which was very flavorful, though definitely heavy on the garlic. If you like bold garlic flavor, this will hit the spot. The fries were another standout very thin, lightly battered, and fried in rosemary oil, which gave them an amazing aroma and crispness. Overall, the food was thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. A solid spot that lives up to its reputation.

5 Star Rating Everything was phenomenal from start to finish. My only critique is that the stake should’ve been served a little bit warmer. It seems like it was left out. It should’ve came on a hot plate. Just to get a little bit more sizzle or char around the crust of the steak. The complementary focaccia bread with sesame seed and the Calabrian chili butter was a phenomenal way to start the evening. We also paired it with some red wine. no one in the restaurant was pretentious. It was casual and upscale at the same time. One of the standout dishes was the potato puff pastry with crab meat. It was absolutely divine. The richness of the butter was a great contrast. The acidity of the lemon really heightened the dish. And the textural contrast between the soft potatoes, the flaky pastry and the sweet and lumpy crab was amazing The pasta was also phenomenal. It was perfectly cooked and the duck ragu was seasoned and cooked to perfect perfection We did go a little overboard by getting the ribeye steak. Cost about US$170. But it’s enough to feed two people. It also came with two side sides. The sides were OK. They weren’t mind blowing. What really stood out to us was our server Yoshi ! She was patient and understood the menu. She knew exactly what to recommend for first timers. I feel like she went above and beyond that her job. So the service was a 10 out of 10. Like I said overall, it’s a phenomenal place. You are gonna be paying a slight premium. But it’s a great place for a date night. I would just say that they gotta work on serving the stake a little bit warmer.

5 Star Rating Did you know that the Restaurant Week special of $45 for two courses from the main menu is held every single day at Union Square Cafe? This was a surprise. Jennifer had always wanted to eat at USC and as Restaurant Week started on January 20th we had lunch on the 23rd. As we entered the room was buzzing with diners. We sat upstairs and perused the menu. Natalie, our server, brought us a plate of the house made bread with a spicy garlic sauce. Each bite of this warm bread smeared with the garlic sauce was ambrosial and is replenished if asked which we did. Jennifer ordered the garlic potato chips, broccoli with candied pecans and pomegranate and the celebrated burger. She washed it all down with a ginger ale. The citrus salad and trout were my choices. The chips were tasty and I noticed other tables had also chosen it. Unfortunately, Jennifer’s burger had cheese on it which she didn’t want but decided not to say anything. We were too full to order desserts but did look at the menu. Service at USC is always impeccable. I have eaten here a few times and for restaurant week. Now we know that we can come here for lunch any day of the week.

5 Star Rating I had a peaceful Christmas lunch here in 2025. Their Christmas menu was only for dinner but there were a lot of Christmasy dishes on their regular menu for lunch. The smoked salmon starter was nice with a pan-Asian dressing. The organic roast chicken was out of this world! I highly recommend it as one of the restaurant’s piece de la resistance plates. I know my French cuisine very well, after living in France for 5 years. The service: other than forgetting to give me my change, was pretty ok but the red haired lady waitress was kinda odd and really annoying, to be quite honest. Other than that, I highly recommend this spot for excellent quality food, hearty, authentic French cuisine, reasonable prices, the cosy, chic ambience, and a good Christmasy holiday atmosphere - especially if you are away from your own Christmas kitchen at the end of the year like I was. And of course, if you are missing France and its gloriously wonderful cuisine at this time of year. Bon appetite! Happy holidays!

5 Star Rating Dined here last weekend and had the restaurant week menu. Generous portions and a good variety to choose from. I tried the artichokes which were delicious snd the rigatoni (pasta was perfectly cooked). The restaurant week special drink was really refreshing too. I was looking forward to the olive oil cake but it was dense, a bit hard and not what I’d recommend. Service was friendly, but a few times we had to wait to get our servers attention. Overall, a nice spot, so long as service can be more prompt.

From the moment I walked in, the host greeted me with kindness and confirmed my peanut allergy (so rare to get this service before sitting down). The good service continued, even down to the water service. Our host was super friendly, and I believe it was the manager who came over at one point to check in on us. All around just 11/10 customer service! As for the food, SO delicious! Restaurant week was such a great opportunity to try a little bit of everything. 5 Star Rating Went to Vallata last night with a good friend of mine. I got there a little early and I was immediately greeted by the server Zach, then by the host, Daniel. Both of them couldn't have been any friendlier to me. I felt welcomed right away. The atmosphere is beautiful from the bar to the front and back rooms. The open kitchen just added to the ambiance. Our primary server was Zach. He was professional, very friendly and knowledgeable. Our food was incredibly delicious. We shared two appetizers, the Chickpea Salad w/squid, shrimp & octopus and the Whipped Ricotta w/roasted apples, pomegranate and sage. It also came with bread. Both appetizers were delicious and very special. The flavors were incredible. For an entree, we had Margherita pizza, one of the best pizzas we ever had. We had a very nice bottle of wine, then went to the bar for an after dinner drink (or two). We met Christian the bartender. He also couldn't have been any nicer (and very funny!). The prices are extremely reasonable. We knew that this was a very special place from the moment we both walked in. Can't believe it's been open for around 5 years and it was my first time, especially since I live close by. I will definitely be back. Mrs. Gladstone too! Congrats to Zach, Christian, Daniel & the rest of the very welcoming & friendly staff. One of the BEST dining experiences I've had in a long time!!! THANK YOU!

5 Star Rating I saw an IG post of Tom C making a sandwich at the grand opening of Vallata yesterday and had to try it. The Ossessione was Mortadella, Stracciatella, Pistachio pesto, black garlic aioli and arugula on a focaccia bun. So good. Every ingredient worked well together with the bun. I also had a few bites of my wife’s 8 1/2 porchetta sandwich. Also very tasty. Service was very attentive and friendly. Maybe a little inexperienced since it was an opening. The “dessert “ of the meal was getting to meet Tom, Kristen and Gail along with season 21 winner Danny Garcia.

4 Star Rating We were in the city to try food places specifically, with this being Tom Colicchio's restaurant, us being huge Top Chef fans it was a easy choice. The restaurant is very nice and semi casual. The drinks were great, service was great. The food was where it didn't live up to the expectations. Nothing stood out, nothing overly impressed you to say you'd come back for that meal. It did not feel like a $250+ dinner for 2. It felt like $100-$150. Glad we tried it? Yes. Would we go back? No, too many other options in this price range to try.

5 Star Rating I really enjoyed how authentic this place felt. Nothing seemed forced, and the environment felt natural and comfortable from the moment I arrived. The staff added to that feeling by being genuinely kind and attentive throughout the visit. When you’re traveling and streaming regularly, places like this make a difference. 5 Star Rating Another excellent experience at the bar at Craft. They do it right from the moment you walk in - I had a lovely chat with their maitre d Anita before settling in at the bar. Fabricio took great care of me, and I overheard him charming both regulars and new guests as more folks trickled in. The orange wine from Slovenia was delicious, and I love their rotating Cab Franc selection. It bears repeating, the amuse bouche is a lost art, and their seasonal butternut squash soup with chestnut foam was beautifully executed. Might start making a habit of ending my workdays at Craft!

4 Star Rating Went for a friends birthday. Staff was nice enough but it felt like it took a while for them to actually take our order for the amount of staff running around doing things. Food was good but small portions for the price, it’s definitely the type of place you go for special occasions only and with your older family…I wouldn’t say it’s the hippest menu. My duck dish was solid, it didn’t come very warm though. Overall I’d maybe come back & it’s worth a try.

5 Star Rating The authentically delicious Russian dishes were the real highlight. Every bite felt true to tradition — rich, flavorful, and expertly prepared. Whether you’re a longtime fan of Russian cuisine or trying it for the first time, the menu offers classics done right, with bold flavors and satisfying portions. Beyond the food, the service was friendly and made the whole evening feel personal. I also loved how the space draws you in with its thoughtful decor and lively yet inviting vibe — it’s one of those places that stays with you long after you leave. We had both a lunch here and a takeout experience, and both were absolutely exquisite. It’s rare to find a place that delivers the same level of quality and care whether you’re dining in or enjoying it at home — but they truly do. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Russian cuisine in a beautiful setting!

5 Star Rating Delicious cuisine. The service was very good and genuinely friendly, but the highlight is the atmosphere, it instantly takes you back to your grandmother’s house. The music, the pictures on the walls, the table runners, the dishes, every small detail feels thoughtfully curated. The menu is also a real comfort-food journey across the ex-USSR: classic Russian New Year salads, Ukrainian borscht, and Georgian favorites like khinkali and khachapuri, all done properly and tasting homemade. A special note for the Napoleon cake: unforgettable, with perfectly crunchy layers and a rich vanilla cream.

5 Star Rating Lovely place with great food and a beautiful atmosphere. The chicken Kiev cutlet was delicious, and the Onegin dessert with fresh mint tea was a perfect finish. The music and overall vibe were very pleasant. Paulina was kind, attentive, and made the experience feel especially welcoming. Highly recommend.

4 Star Rating Really good Russian food. The appetizers and entrees were good (we had the dumplings, chicken Kiev, beef stroganoff, borsch) but for me, the desserts were the highlight- especially the Napoleons. They also make very good vidka cocktails

4 Star Rating Hesitated a few times before organizing a dinner here due to some reviews. The food is rustic, down to earth and delicious and so so much cheese. The ribs were so tender. Don't know how rest of the place is laid out as we were near the entrance in a crammped nook, also felt the wait staff didn't check on us as often due to the location.

5 Star Rating Went here for a solo breakfast whilst in NYC. Really cosy interior, really enjoyed the design and warmth of it. The staff were very friendly and chatty, which was appreciated. I ordered the boomer special (which is a little bit of everything) with the apple pancakes and the smoked salmon as the protein - it was all delicious and very well done classic American food. Coffee was also great. Thank you 💫💫

4 Star Rating Drinks: 9/10 I’ve visited 3 times. I typically have water or French press coffee. I know that’s a *low* threshold but the coffee is always brewed well, not better, very smooth, and seems to be some sort of breakfast blend because it doesn’t make me jittery. I really like that! I believe the last time I visited, I ordered whatever bottled water they had available. It feels silly to *rate* water but it was fine. Service: 10/10 I’ve never had a reservation coming here but I always get a seat pretty easily. Whenever I’ve come in the host greets me immediately and gets me squared away. I’ve come during busier times and more chill times, the wait hasn’t been more than 10-15 mins. Also the servers are really sweet, knowledgeable, and seem to have amazing timing when it comes to checking in on how the meal is going. Food: 9/10 Always FRESH and the hot dishes are HOT. The entire concept is farm to table so the ingredients are seasonal which will may some dishes different from season to season. The last time I went I ordered: Rose Club - the chicken on this sandwich was really juicy and the sandwich itself was pretty big so I saved half. The fries were really crispy on the outside and pillowy soft on the inside. Biscuit - I wasn’t too much of a fan of the biscuit. If it was called a “roll”, I’d be completely happy with it but it just didn’t give “biscuit”. Cornbread waffle bites topped with caviar and crème fraîche - I’ll think about this appetizer often. The cornbread waffle was delicious, crispy, the right amount of sweet and moist. The caviar was the PERFECT salty, seafood-y addition that truly is a competitor to your favorite waffle and other protein duos. Ambiance: 8/10 I will say I’ve sat outside during the warmer seasons and inside (upstairs) during the colder ones. Outdoor dinning was perfectly fine, nothing stands out in my memory about it being exceptional or unfavorable. Dining indoors is bit cramped however I feel like it does add to a certain coziness level in the space. They also have it decorated for the seasons with a working fireplace upstairs that adds a certain life to the space. Overall: 9/10 I love this place and I’ll return. I can always look forward to consistently good service, fresh/delicious food and a bit of a rotating menu that compliments the season. You really can’t go wrong with that.

5 Star Rating Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff and pumpkin walnut pancakes full of light fall flavor. The pumpkin flavor wasn't overpowering the dish. It was a nice and light. I love nuts so I was glad to see all three pancakes had a generous amount of crunch. The syrup gave it a nice sweet touch without being too sweet. Loved the ambience and the staff were all very friendly as they checked to ensure all was well. I will be going back soon!

5 Star Rating Recently went and it was a very pleasant experience. The meal started off with a complimentary cornbread with apple sauce which was excellent. The burger was top tier and so was the chicken. The servers were attentive but I did feel a little rushed to get through the meal quickly. There is outdoor seating with space heaters to keep you warm. Overall I would return.
