5 Star Rating It’s one of those special place in NYC you just gotta try at least once. Shake shack burger is no longer a special treat because they are everywhere. But it feels infinitely different when you dine in at the Madison Square Park when it began as a hotdog cart to revitalize the park. As usual, a meal at Shake Shack did not disappoint. Especially here where that famous burger was born.

5 Star Rating It was a long lineup , which made me to think it should be a good place to try the food. I almost waited for 15-20 mins for order and get the Veggie burger. I loved the vibe which is a nice park and has bench to seat. I would say it was ok, but worth to stop and try because of the vibe.

5 Star Rating The hot dogs were very good. The service fast and friendly. The vibe in the park was perfect with a busking Jazz trio adding to the atmosphere. My only wish that smokers (all weeds) were not allowed near tables where people are eating.

3 Star Rating We had lunch at Gramercy Tavern on Sunday with a group of four, seated in the Tavern area rather than the formal dining room. The cocktails were a fantastic start—absolutely 5 out of 5. The staff was warm and attentive, and the atmosphere was lively and welcoming. The flatbread was excellent, one of the highlights of the meal. But overall, I was hoping for a bit more from the rest of the food. We tried the burger, pork shoulder, swordfish, tomato salad, and liver mousse. While some dishes were fine, the burger and pork shoulder in particular were disappointing and just didn’t hit the mark. The salad and mousse also felt a little ordinary. For a place with such a strong reputation—and at this price point—I expected the dishes to shine more. Still, the service and vibe were wonderful, which made the experience enjoyable overall. If I had to rate it: 5 stars for service and ambiance, but about 3 stars for the food, so overall a solid 3 stars.

5 Star Rating The Dining Room is perfect for a date as it is less crowded and reservations are easier to come by. The service was impeccable, and they even let us order the famous burger and cookie from the Tarven's menu. If you want to try their famous burger but can't get a reservation for the Tarven, give their Dining Room a try! But just keep in mind that you are unlikely to be able to order anything else besides the burger and desserts from the Tarven's menu, as they try to keep the two restaurants separate. Overall, while we had a great dining experience there, the famous burger didn't live up to its hype. It's nice, but nothing special. The cookie , on the other hand, was a winner! The Hanger Steak was delicious, tender and juicy, a little on the sweeter side. The bread was also very good 😋.

4 Star Rating I’ve been to Gramercy Tavern many times in the past, and it’s usually a wonderful experience. The dining area is always lovely, though this time I was seated in a less attractive section, which was a bit disappointing. The course menu started strong — the starter was full of flavor and really enjoyable. Unfortunately, the main dishes didn’t quite meet expectations. The pork loin was overcooked and dry, and I ended up switching to the sirloin steak, which also turned out to be quite chewy. It felt like the quality of the meat just wasn’t up to their usual standard. That said, the overall experience was still great. The service was excellent and truly made up for the food missteps. I’ll definitely be back, but hoping for better luck with the mains next time.

5 Star Rating I’ve been wanting to try Gramercy Tavern for a while, and it didn’t disappoint. The space is beautiful—big but warm, with a great vibe that makes it feel both lively and welcoming. Service throughout was friendly, personable, and exactly what you’d expect from a restaurant of this caliber. I went with the tasting menu, which was excellent and very seasonal. Each course came with two options, and there were some tough choices to make. The meal started strong with an amuse-bouche of oysters that were outstanding and set high expectations for the rest of the night. The beets I had as a starter were delicious and perfectly in season, and the hay-smoked gnocchi was another standout—rich, earthy, and full of flavor. The lamb was also excellent, though my portion had a bit more bone than I would’ve liked. Dessert brought things full circle with a hazelnut tart in a Concord grape sauce that was both seasonal and beautifully balanced. Overall, an outstanding dinner and a place I’d happily return to!

4 Star Rating The butternut squash soup and lamb sandwich was 20/10. Definitely order it if you’re here. You won’t regret it. The lamb was cooked like a smash burger. The char was perfectly matched with the sauce and slaw on a perfectly sized pita. Skip the oysters. The swordfish was good but the sauce was too runny for my liking but still good taste.

5 Star Rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An unforgettable dining experience at Eleven Madison Park! From the moment I walked in, everything felt meticulously crafted — elegant yet welcoming. The service was beyond exceptional: attentive, warm, and incredibly knowledgeable. Every course was a piece of art, balancing creativity with flavor in a way that only Eleven Madison Park can achieve. What impressed me most was the restaurant’s commitment to plant-based cuisine without sacrificing luxury or depth. Each dish told a story — from the delicate textures to the thoughtful plating — and the flavors were bold, surprising, and deeply satisfying. The wine pairings elevated the experience even further. The atmosphere is serene and sophisticated, with every detail designed to enhance the meal. By the end of the evening, it didn’t feel like just dinner; it felt like being part of a masterpiece. A particularly memorable highlight was being personally invited into the kitchen — an extraordinary gesture that offered a glimpse into the artistry and discipline behind each creation. The team’s professionalism and passion were unmistakable, making the experience even more inspiring. If you’re looking for an experience that’s both inspiring and indulgent, Eleven Madison Park is truly one of the world’s finest.

4 Star Rating EMP has been on my bucket list for a long time. When I found out they were featuring meat courses again, I was ecstatic because we happen to be in town. I was lucky enough to grab one of their bar tasting menu reservations. We’ve had the privilege to dine at many Worlds Best and Michelin starred restaurants around the world, so I had extremely high hopes. The courses were good, but nothing really wowed me. I wish they offered less vegan courses. Since we do not drink alcohol, I was surprised to see a non-alcoholic wine pairing. I opted for it ($135) bc I was intrigued, but I would not get it again. The white pairings were delicious, but the red pairings all tasted sour and left a bad aftertaste. I only had a sip. Service was exceptional, I did not expect anything less. For the price, I would rather go to Per Se or Le Bernardin.

5 Star Rating Visiting New York and going to this restaurant was a dream of mine as soon as I found out they were making the entire menu vegan 💚 It's a shame they're switching back to a meat-based menu, but I'm glad I made it in time. The service was very nice and professional. The food was amazing and they even prepared a gluten-free menu for me so I could enjoy the food too. We had a reservation in advance, so they already knew about us and had a table ready 🙂. It was literally a dream come true, and at the end we even received a little gift as a thank you ❤️ It was pleasure, thank you so much for a wonderfull time and great, delicious meal. 🥹❤️

5 Star Rating We celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary at Eleven Madison Park, and it was an experience we’ll never forget. I first discovered the restaurant through Will Guidara’s book Unreasonable Hospitality, and it truly lived up to everything he wrote about. From the moment we walked in, every detail — the service, the ambiance, and the creativity behind each course — felt intentional and heartfelt. The plant-based menu was beautifully crafted, and the team made us feel genuinely special throughout the evening. It wasn’t just a meal; it was a celebration of care, thoughtfulness, and everything great hospitality should be.

5 Star Rating If ever a plant-based restaurant deserved 6 stars, it's Eleven Madison Park. They proved that you don't need to serve animal products as part of the very best dining experiences. This review is written after the announcement that they're soon returning to serving animal products as part of the menu but before they've made this transition. It was difficult deciding how to write and frame this review given the recent announcement made after we made and pre-paid our reservation, but in the end we're reviewing the restaurant as visited based on what we experienced. We hope that reviews like ours will help convince the management that the plant-based tasting should at least remain the default option, as it's a great shame to lose what the restaurant represents (or represented). Having the plant-based menu as the default, while offering optional omnivorous swaps to secure the bookings they need to remain in business, would be an acceptable compromise in our opinion (as we believe it's better for a place like this to exist and provide a plant-based experience than not at all). It's easy to condemn a restaurant that serves an omnivorous customer base, and in an ideal world we would all be plant-based, but with the closures of so many vegan restaurants in both the UK and US (one even closed its doors between the planning stage and the trip itself), we think it's better that vegan dining experiences exist alongside options we wouldn't have if that's the genuine difference between closure and staying afloat. That said, the experience we had was second to none. We booked the full tasting menu and added a cake to the booking. We also opted for the non-alcoholic pairing to go with the tasting (not selectable at booking but possible to request at the restaurant). We were emailed ahead of time to ask if we needed any accommodations or if we were celebrating any special occasions, and we'd let them know that we were coming as a joint honeymoon highlight/30th birthday meal. The restaurant gave us personalised, hand-written cards in reference to both shortly after we were taken to our table, and the staff were extremely friendly and outwardly interested in our trip. I cannot understate how excellent the service staff were. We're not used to Michelin-star level service (it's difficult to find it at all if you're vegan), but it blew every possible expectation out of the water, especially as we're used to the less personal, less enthusiastic service of the UK. Every single member of staff that we spoke to or were served by was warm, knowledgeable, courteous and really made us feel special. The food was without doubt the greatest meal we've ever eaten. Every single course was an exercise in brilliance, from presentation to flavour. Pictured are some highlights, but some elements/dishes weren't photographed. The non-alcoholic pairings were undoubtedly a great choice, as it was explained that every one was prepared on-site in partnership with the chefs to ensure that each paired and complemented the course it was served with. Primarily consisting of the juice of a grape varietal traditionally used in wine, each one was imbued with aromatics, spices and infusions to shape the taste exactly to go alongside each course seamlessly. Every single thing we ate and drank tasted amazing, ranging from in-your-face flavours to more subtly elegant dishes. Every single course and pairing was explained by the staff, which really added to the experience. One particular highlight was the preparation table-side of the smoked hasselback potato, tonburi 'land caviar', pomme purée, seaweed cream and chive blossoms. The service staff assembled the dish in front of us, walking through it while demonstrating excellent quenelle technique. To close out, we had a coffee and a tea (for which the staff were more than happy to walk us through the options and their own recommendations) and the prepaid cake, which, before it was served, was presented with a birthday candle for us to take photos if we wished. A once-in-a-lifetime experience we will never forget.

5 Star Rating We had a fantastic evening at Barbounia. The place is vibrant, full of energy, and definitely on the lively side, so expect a fun atmosphere rather than a quiet dinner. Our waiter, Timur, made the night special. He was attentive, professional, and handled all of our allergy restrictions with real care. Every dish came out perfect, and you could tell he takes pride in what he does. If you can, try to sit in his section. Food highlights: • The red snapper was cooked perfectly, juicy and flavorful. • The short rib was slow cooked and melted in the mouth, one of the best I’ve had in a while. • For dessert, the tahini ice cream halva dish stood out. It had a unique texture and layered flavors that I’d highly recommend. The only miss for us was the Greek salad, which was heavy on dill and vinegar, throwing off the balance. Everything else was superb. Service, food, and ambiance all get top marks from me. The restaurant does get busy, so reservations are a good idea. If you’re looking for a place with great Mediterranean food, excellent service, and a buzzing scene, Barbounia is a solid choice

4 Star Rating Spent $140 to have the lasagna delivered to me. What an experience this was! This is easily the best lasagna I’ve had in my life. The pasta is so delicate and perfectly layered with the filling. It’s immaculately put together. The cheese flavor is outstanding, the pork flavor is there and the ground broccoli thrown in is a nice touch. The reason this is getting a 4 and not a 5 is because there is a lack of sauce on it. There is a small amount of sauce on top and not much else. They also give you a cup of cheap grated parmesan to sprinkle on top. Some freshly shredded parmesan, Romano or Asiago would have been better. I ended up grating my own Romano and topping with it. I shared this with my family and sadly my dad said he thought stouffers was better especially considering the price 🤦🏻‍♂️ To me it was amazing. Doesn’t look like it’s served on the actual menu in the restaurant but if it was I would be ordering it at the restaurant. Purchased via goldbelly. 5 Star Rating Came here to celebrate a birthday and I was very impressed. The multiple 5 star reviews are on point. The food was wonderful and good portioned. Zucchini Carpaccio was a great way to start the night. The chicken scarpiello was amazing. Very rich and yet simple. Even the garlic sauce that came with the bread was amazing. The only dish that didn't hit the high marks was the special appetizer, duck confit tater tots with caviar. The tots were overly fried and the breading was the focus. It would be better if lightly fried or a sauce. But it didn't take away from the meal. In addition service was great from begining to end. Our server Jianci gave great recommendations and was the perfect level of attentiveness. We dined outside which was a perfect setting for a cool end of summer day. I highly recommend Union Square Cafe especially for special occasions.

5 Star Rating I saw an IG post of Tom C making a sandwich at the grand opening of Vallata yesterday and had to try it. The Ossessione was Mortadella, Stracciatella, Pistachio pesto, black garlic aioli and arugula on a focaccia bun. So good. Every ingredient worked well together with the bun. I also had a few bites of my wife’s 8 1/2 porchetta sandwich. Also very tasty. Service was very attentive and friendly. Maybe a little inexperienced since it was an opening. The “dessert “ of the meal was getting to meet Tom, Kristen and Gail along with season 21 winner Danny Garcia.

4 Star Rating Very nice Italian pasta restaurant (by Tom Coliccio from Food Network's Top Chef) with a relaxing & inviting setting in the flatiron district. We tried two appetizers and three pasta selections (there's only a few vegetarian options so we replaced sausage for anchovies in one dish), and all were good. Would not recommend the wine & pasta special as the house wines weren't up to the quality of the pasta. Service was very good.

Fabricio took great care of me, and I overheard him charming both regulars and new guests as more folks trickled in. The orange wine from Slovenia was delicious, and I love their rotating Cab Franc selection. It bears repeating, the amuse bouche is a lost art, and their seasonal butternut squash soup with chestnut foam was beautifully executed. Might start making a habit of ending my workdays at Craft!

Food was good but small portions for the price, it’s definitely the type of place you go for special occasions only and with your older family…I wouldn’t say it’s the hippest menu. My duck dish was solid, it didn’t come very warm though. Overall I’d maybe come back & it’s worth a try.

5 Star Rating Craft was everything I hoped for and more. From the moment we walked in, to when we left with banana bread muffins as a parting gift, every element was perfection. We were celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary and the staff went out of their way to make us feel special. The service was top notch, and our waiter gave us some great recommendations. Pro tip: they offer half portions of most of their sides so you can try more things. This is especially great if you’re a solo diner or in a small group. The food, wow, everything we ordered was extraordinary. Our particular favorites were the agnolotti, the short rib (must order) and the surprisingly excellent Carolina gold rice. You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. We ordered 7 total dishes for the two of us; they did an excellent job of coursing it all out and we took home some leftovers as well. Craft is a perfect choice for your next celebratory meal, or any occasion. The warm, inviting atmosphere, attentive and friendly staff, and fantastic food all make it a memorable dining experience.

5 Star Rating The interior of the restaurant was very nice. We enjoyed the industrial vibe. We came on a slower night so the service was pretty fast and the food was delicious. My favorite dishes are the scallop crudo, eggplant agnolotti and the Pekin Duck.

5 Star Rating This restaurant offers an authentic taste of Russian cuisine with a strong nostalgic atmosphere that feels like stepping back into the post-imperial or Soviet era. The décor and music perfectly capture the spirit of old Russia, making it an excellent place for anyone interested in Soviet culture and history. The service is friendly, attentive, and impressively fast. Overall, it’s a fantastic spot to bring friends who want to experience genuine Russian food and a unique cultural vibe.

5 Star Rating Had a wonderful meal at Mari Vanna NYC! We ordered the Fried Eggplant Salad, Borscht, Mushroom Soup, Lamb Shank, Beef Stroganoff. Napoleon, and the Onegin as dessert, everything was delicious. The flavors were rich and authentic, and each dish felt thoughtfully prepared. The Lamb Shank was incredibly tender, the Beef Stroganoff was creamy and comforting, and finishing with the Napoleon was perfect. Great atmosphere and warm service, too. Highly recommend!

3 Star Rating The food here felt a bit too authentic for our taste. The flavors were quite strong and the dumplings were our least favorite. But the desserts were amazing and I even bought some pastries to take home.

5 Star Rating Our hostess Anastasia was welcoming and helpful. My buddy and I sat at the bar after the lunch rush. Karina was our bartender and she was attentive and nice. We ordered the Homemade Blinis with House Cured Salmon and the Pelmeni Siberian (yummy, light dumplings). Both served with the velvet sour cream. You make your own blini and that was fun! We were more than full from the two dishes to share. Our wines were terrific. The restrooms are clean and adorned with fun items and signatures on the walls. The decor is comforting and old school. If you want a treat and to have lovely memories with friends, put this on your list!

5 Star Rating Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff and pumpkin walnut pancakes full of light fall flavor. The pumpkin flavor wasn't overpowering the dish. It was a nice and light. I love nuts so I was glad to see all three pancakes had a generous amount of crunch. The syrup gave it a nice sweet touch without being too sweet. Loved the ambience and the staff were all very friendly as they checked to ensure all was well. I will be going back soon!

5 Star Rating Recently went and it was a very pleasant experience. The meal started off with a complimentary cornbread with apple sauce which was excellent. The burger was top tier and so was the chicken. The servers were attentive but I did feel a little rushed to get through the meal quickly. There is outdoor seating with space heaters to keep you warm. Overall I would return.

5 Star Rating This spot is true to it’s name, serving what I like to call a farmer’s breakfast fit with meats, eggs, potatoes, and some kind of delectable carb on the side. I ordered the Boomer’s special which came with scrambled eggs, meat of choice, pancakes or waffles, plus home fries. I opted for crispy bacon and the blue berry pancakes. When I say that everything was cooked to perfection, I certainly mean it. Eggs were seasoned and tasted buttery, bacon was crisp as requested, even the blueberries in the pancakes were sweet and tender. This was well worth the $27 platter price considering this city has lower quality brunch plates for a few dollars less. I will note that extras, such as a side of the home-fries are an extra $9 for a little cup, but I suppose their profit margin is with drinks and these little side options. My partner got the chicken pot pie and it was solid, but a little on the salty side and a little overly sweet with too much rosemary in the filling. Probably wouldn’t order that again, but in general, this place seems like a well oiled machine. Service was smooth and precise, not overly personal or warm, but we got water and food in a timely manner, and they checked on us at least once. Decor is what some may consider shabby chic charming, but it was a little half-hazard and needed some editing on the second floor, namely with too many baskets crammed into the rafters, gathering some dust.

3 Star Rating In town for just a couple hours on a business trip. My buddy and I were hungry for breakfast and stopped in here. It’s a very simple diner, but had great reviews. The food was really good and the pancakes were remarkable. The reason for two stars dropped was our waitress was pretty rude. Never smiled. Wouldn’t talk to us and looked like she hated being in there. Overall, the food was great with the service just sucked.

5 Star Rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Such a cute spot! The whole place is so pretty even upstairs feels like a little farmhouse escape in the city. The service was great too. We asked our server for some suggestions and she nailed it. We shared the pancake with lemon zest and it was really good. I got the country grain bowl salad with chicken and it was super tasty and full of flavor. Satisfying!! I’ll for sure be back and I totally recommend checking this place out. It’s a real gem!
