The hot dogs were very good. The service fast and friendly. The vibe in the park was perfect with a busting Jazz trio adding to the atmosphere. My only wish that smokers (all weeds) were not allowed near tables where people are eating.

Very tasty burger! Very juicy and rich in flavor! The location is really nice as well though you need a good weather cause you will eat in the park!

It’s one of those special place in NYC you just gotta try at least once. Shake shack burger is no longer a special treat because they are everywhere. But it feels infinitely different when you dine in at the Madison Square Park when it began as a hotdog cart to revitalize the park.
As usual, a meal at Shake Shack did not disappoint. Especially here where that famous burger was born.

I absolutely love this SS!! There’s an employee by the name of Kristian!! He is my favorite. Always so welcoming and knowledgeable.. I hear/see how he treats the other employees. It seems like he creates a fun, friendly working environment. The area is so clean., the food arrives in a timely manner. Not only do I visit this location bc of the experience but bc of the atmosphere of the employees

One of the better fine dining experiences I've had in NYC (18 years here). Took my mom for a celebration meal and we were blown away by the service and food. The summer seasonal menu was so fresh, unique, visually compelling dishes, and left us satisfied but not too full. We asked about Danny Meyer and we got an incredible backstory on Union Square Hospitality Group and the restaurant. We even walked out with the Playbook -- how amazing!

This place has a consistently high-rated tasting menu so I was eager to try it out. The sommelier recommended a delicious (and affordable) wine that we loved so much, we had a second bottle and took a picture of it for reference. As for the dishes, I loved the seafood and the desserts. Everything was perfectly cooked and we all agreed that we had never had shrimp so tender before. Some plates, like the pasta, were average. Overall, it was a lovely evening and worth it for a special occasion!

Came here to celebrate a birthday in their Private Dining Room and the entire event was lovely. The staff were so sweet and patient with questions about the dishes- not at all pretentious. The food was delicious. The room felt spacious and refined. My friends and I had the best time catching up! I will definitely consider hosting future events here.

This was one of the most wonderful prefix dinners we’ve had in a long time. The servers, the atmosphere, and food with the wine pairing was pure perfection. Everything we ate was perfectly curated for the season. If you’re a seafood lover it’s worth a try. Highly recommend trying this out. I look forward to seeing their fall/winter menu. Make a reservation.

Had a delicious and reasonably priced meal here with excellent service.
Came here for lunch and the beet salad was so refreshing, ordered the fish as well which the kitchen split into two plates for me and my friend to share. The fish itself was tender with great flavors.
Will come back to try their burger one day!

An unforgettable culinary journey. From the moment you walk into Eleven Madison Park, you’re treated to a truly elevated dining experience. The service is flawless, warm, and deeply attentive without being intrusive. Each course is a creative masterpiece beautifully presented, full of flavor, and thoughtfully explained by the staff.
The plant based menu is proof that fine dining doesn’t need to rely on animal products to be exceptional. Every dish feels both artistic and deeply satisfying.
Whether you’re celebrating something special or just indulging in one of the world’s top culinary destinations, this place delivers on every level. Highly recommended.

Dining at Eleven Madison Park was an unforgettable experience—one that redefined what plant-based cuisine can be. From start to finish, every element was considered, executed, and delivered with extraordinary care.
The food itself was exceptional: beautifully plated, imaginative, and, most importantly, delicious. Each course was a testament to how local, seasonal, and entirely plant-based ingredients can be elevated to the highest levels of fine dining. As someone committed to a vegan diet for reasons of sustainability, health, and animal welfare, I was moved by the restaurant’s conviction that animals need not be part of the equation to create culinary excellence.
Service was on par with the cuisine. We were graciously and attentively cared for by the entire team—especially Garrett and Chloe—who made the evening feel personal, educational, and fun without ever being intrusive. Their depth of knowledge and passion for the menu enriched every course.
What stood out most, however, was the thoughtfulness. Every detail was considered. Every need anticipated. The team’s understanding of their ingredients and suppliers was impressive, and their willingness to accommodate our pace—staying late so we never felt rushed—was deeply appreciated.
It was a once-in-a-lifetime meal that I sincerely hope not to wait a lifetime to experience again.

Hands down this is one of the best food experiences I’ve probably ever had in my life. The venue is beautiful, the service was almost too good, and the food alone would have made the trip to NYCz worth it.
This place is sort of magical. From the moment you enter through the revolving doors you can feel a buzz or energy throughout the restaurant. I truly believe this feeling has to do with the fact every single person cared deeply about what they were doing down to the smallest of details. In some ways this place might have ruined me because I might be forever let down in the future by other restaurants.
I won’t drone on about the specifics of the food. There’s enough of those reviews already on here (scroll up or down if that’s what you’re looking for). The food was mind blowing…I hate peas and yet the pea dish was one of my favorite out of the whole tasting menu. That’s how talented this place is, they got to me like a vegetable I haven’t liked my entire life. I feel like that says it all.

Incredible dining experience.
Food, service and ambiance were all 5 star level.
It may seem to have a simple focus- asparagus, mushroom, potato...but every course is elevated in seasoning and cooking techniques to the absolute best asparagus, mushroom, or potato you have ever tasted.
I was full by course 6, but ate every bite not wanting to miss any of it.
While being very upscale, with exceptional service, the staff was very friendly and personable.
Highly recommend this experience, at least once.

I've been to about 50 Michelin star Restaurants and this was one of the best restaurants I've dined in. It is the best vegetarian restaurant in the world. But one thing that sets this restaurant apart is the staff go above and beyond for the people that dine at their restaurant. I was visiting New York for Pokemon Go Fest 2025 and I told my server. She went out of her way to contact a graphic designer who created a one of a kind Pokemon card with Gengar commemorating my time with a special message from Eleven Madison Park. I also got a nice tour of the kitchen as well. The dishes and presentation was amazing. The best vegetarian dishes I've had in my life. So happy I visited and this restaurant made my Pokemon Go Fest so much more special! Thank you for your kindness and it was a World Class Dining Experience. The restaurant is beautiful. I hope to be back for the Next Pokemon Go Fest!

Had a really good brunch here the other weekend with two friends. We shared the French toast, which was absolutely out of this world. It was so good. We then ordered the pancakes, which were good, but did not compare to the French toast. The other brunch items were all really good, I would highly recommend this place for brunch. You can’t go wrong.

I visited this restaurant based on its 4.6 rating and great location near the movie theater. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was stylish and inviting.
However, the food was disappointing. It looked great on the plate, but it was surprisingly tasteless. As someone who enjoys gourmet food, taste matters a lot to me and this missed the mark completely. I spent over $100 and left unsatisfied. Also, the plates and dishware felt outdated for a restaurant of this level.
If you're going just for the ambiance and good service, you might enjoy it. But if delicious food is your priority, I wouldn’t recommend it. I won’t be returning.

Very good food, good service, a great way to spend dinner ahead of attending an event at the Gramercy Theater. I was so looking forward to having the rose water panna cotta & it definitely lived up to the hype!
Edit to add: I wish restaurants (not just this one) would stop calling button mushrooms "wild mushrooms" on the menu.

My fiancé and I had a wonderful brunch at Union Square Cafe.
The atmosphere is high-end yet with a casual vibe. We sat upstairs overlooking the main level, which was fun.
Service was friendly and prompt, and the cocktail and wine list is extensive, all our cocktails were excellent.
The food was phenomenal. The mini jelly donuts were delicious, and the shrimp cocktail was fresh. The steak and eggs and burger were fantastic. Both dishes were so flavorful and good size portions. The carrot cake for dessert was also excellent (in-house pastry chef).
I recommend for brunch or dinner (we plan to visit soon for dinner).

We had an amazing brunch at Union Square Cafe.
A few of us from work decided to go, and from start to finish, everything was spot on.
The coffee was perfectly brewed, clean, smooth, and exactly what we needed to start the day.
The burger was absolutely mouthwatering, cooked to perfection. And the French toast was rich and fluffy.
The service was outstanding, friendly, professional, and attentive without being intrusive.
The ambiance is warm and inviting.
Highly recommend to anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience in NYC.

Union Square, Café had been recommended to me by a bunch of people so I was excited to go for a celebratory brunch.
The overall headline is: Really good food, small portions.
The Good: (all of it)
- 🥩 🍳 that may have been the best steak and eggs I’ve ever had. Delicious mix of flavors on the eggs and the steak was high quality and cooked to perfection. Worth the $40!
- we got the lemon pasta too, which was delicious. Amazing balance of flavors beautiful use of a creamy citrus sauce. I wish there was more of it because my girlfriend was still hungry (and it tasted really good)
- the rolls were bomb 🍞 💣
- 🍞 French toast was delicious. Soft and fluffy inside that had a great bite. It was pretty sweet in a good way so I think this is a great dish to share with the group!
I will definitely try the seafood platter the next time I go. Great food, great service!

Food was very good. If you’re a burger person, it’s a must try! Don’t miss the doughnuts; the filling changes seasonally but it was truly great and I don’t even eat doughnuts. The citrus salad was definitely interesting if you wanted to try some light fruit app. Our server disappeared at the end of our meal and we had to wait some time for the check since it was busy or we were forgotten about, not sure.

Went to L’express for dinner with friends who were visiting from overseas and excited to experience French cuisine in NYC. I tried items off their limited time Forgotten Foods Festival menu. The chef curated an incredible menu that really brought out the French flavors in every bite. The Potage Garbure and the blanquette de cochon were cooked to perfection.
The service was also unmatched as all our needs were met. Not to mention the cocktails were out of this world. Would totally recommend the Sazerac and the Apple Martini!

Great service in a very French vibe. The food was incredibly well prepared and the drinks were phenomenal. The lamb burger was so good and the tuna was deftly seared. They are accommodating with allergens but it is a shared kitchen. Definitely enjoyed our meal and the quality of service.

Everything tastes better after midnight 🥴
So why WOULDNT I pull up to a French bistro and have a feast while riding on cloud nine? I came in last night (Saturday night) at around 11:30pm or so and ordered the Cassoulet. It was awesome! The duck meat was tender and very flavorful with a layer of crackling crispy skin on top, the sausage was springy and juicy, and the tender beans sat in a wonderfully meaty and rich stew! Combining all of the elements of the dish together in a single bite was simply divine! Really a symphony of flavors and textures on my tongue. I was a bit worried about the price tag (otherwise I probably would've tried an appetizer also), but to be honest the portion size was bigger than I expected!
The atmosphere was nice and cozy too and the service was wonderful. I would totally recommend this place if you're craving something delicious late at night! They're open pretty late Wednesday-Saturday.

Anytime opened restaurant! The best restaurant for late night eat lovers! The one thing you should try for sure it’s a beef carpaccio! Amazing! No matter if you take it as an appetizer or the dish. Very tasty baked fish! Broccoli is awesome! Good choice of wine! Wouldn’t recommend the onion soup and escargots. Not the best choice but eatable.

I saw an IG post of Tom C making a sandwich at the grand opening of Vallata yesterday and had to try it. The Ossessione was Mortadella, Stracciatella, Pistachio pesto, black garlic aioli and arugula on a focaccia bun. So good. Every ingredient worked well together with the bun. I also had a few bites of my wife’s 8 1/2 porchetta sandwich. Also very tasty. Service was very attentive and friendly. Maybe a little inexperienced since it was an opening. The “dessert “ of the meal was getting to meet Tom, Kristen and Gail along with season 21 winner Danny Garcia.

Vallata’s new lunch menu is a must-try! They offer an impressive selection of Italian sandwiches, including delicious vegetarian options. Each bite was packed with flavor, and the quality of ingredients really stood out. While I didn’t try any appetizers this time, I’m already looking forward to my next visit to explore more of the menu.
Service was fast and efficient without sacrificing quality, making it a great spot for a quick yet satisfying meal. I also noticed several takeout orders being handled smoothly, so it’s a fantastic option for a grab-and-go lunch or office delivery. Whether you’re dining in or taking it to go, Vallata is a solid addition to the lunch scene!

Vallata is now serving sandwiches during the day! After seeing Tom’s reel (making an Ossessione Sammie. We had to check it out, Mortadella with a pistachio crunch, arugula and black garlic aioli on house made Foccacia, DELISH and the 8-1/2, a Porchetta on Ciabatta with a Mostarda made with candied oranges pieces & a garlic confit, so good. If you are looking for a huge sub, this ain’t it. What you will get are well balanced, creative, flavorful Sammies on fantastic bread! Staff is a little green but very friendly. Def going back! Coincidentally the Top chef crew was there for lunch, I was starstruck! They were gracious enough to chat and take a photo with us.

Competent Italian food, but it didn't wow me at all. The raisins in the pasta didn't work for me, and the chickpeas in the salad were hard. The seafood in that same salad didn't have much flavor. At this price point I expected much more.

Craft was everything I hoped for and more. From the moment we walked in, to when we left with banana bread muffins as a parting gift, every element was perfection. We were celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary and the staff went out of their way to make us feel special.
The service was top notch, and our waiter gave us some great recommendations. Pro tip: they offer half portions of most of their sides so you can try more things. This is especially great if you’re a solo diner or in a small group.
The food, wow, everything we ordered was extraordinary. Our particular favorites were the agnolotti, the short rib (must order) and the surprisingly excellent Carolina gold rice. You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. We ordered 7 total dishes for the two of us; they did an excellent job of coursing it all out and we took home some leftovers as well.
Craft is a perfect choice for your next celebratory meal, or any occasion. The warm, inviting atmosphere, attentive and friendly staff, and fantastic food all make it a memorable dining experience.

Celebrating our cousin Kyle’s belated BIG 2-O Birthday at Top Chef’s head judge Tom Colicchio’s restaurant Craftsteak in NY! Great service & they’ve surprised our daughter & her Uncle Kyle a custom menu with a special message at the top for each of them. We ordered the 40 oz. Ribeye Dry-aged Steak because for Ribeye cut, 40 oz. is the only way to get it Ribeye here. It was definitely one of the best course on the menu! The Ribeye was perfectly cooked and seasoned and the fat was very juicy & tasty! When we were leaving, the host gave each of us a muffin treat to take with us. Special little touches in a restaurant makes a difference for their guests! Good food, great company & nice staffs! The only thing I might add is that a few of the dishes were extremely salty (such as the Braised Beef Short Ribs, Sea Island Peas, the complimentary peas gazpacho with chive oil), which resulted in us drinking a lot of water throughout the dinner. But other than that, glad everyone enjoyed the special occasion! 🥰👍🍽️🍴🍹🥩🫕🦪🎂🎉🎊🎈😍

Hands down, one of the best meals I have ever had. Everything was too notch and well made. The service was amazing. The poached halibut was out of this world, Gratin (potatoes) were super delicious, and the Risotto was terrific (although my wife would have liked a touch more salt). Even the dessert was outstanding. We had a scoop of the Burnt Honey Vanilla ice cream. Well done by everyone.
If you get the chance, I highly recommend you check out Craft.
Derek - 8 months ago
The food at Craft did not live up to the impeccable service. Looking stunning on the plate, it did not deliver on flavor. Delicate rabbit was masked by overpowering bacon, fish was over-salted, and sauces were pretty one-dimensional. I really appreciated the creativity, but some quality control and oversight from the chef may be warranted. After two starters and two mains, one should not walk away hungry, and ordering dessert to round out the meal simply felt like a gamble given that the previous courses didn't leave us reaching back for the menu.

Our hostess Anastasia was welcoming and helpful. My buddy and I sat at the bar after the lunch rush. Karina was our bartender and she was attentive and nice. We ordered the Homemade Blinis with House Cured Salmon and the Pelmeni Siberian (yummy, light dumplings). Both served with the velvet sour cream. You make your own blini and that was fun! We were more than full from the two dishes to share. Our wines were terrific. The restrooms are clean and adorned with fun items and signatures on the walls. The decor is comforting and old school. If you want a treat and to have lovely memories with friends, put this on your list!

A nostalgic and elegant Russian dining experience in NYC
Mari Vanna is more than just a restaurant — it’s a portal into a cozy, nostalgic version of Russian home life, elevated with elegance and attention to detail. Located in the heart of New York City, it manages to create a peaceful, almost fairy-tale atmosphere that immediately transports you. The lace tablecloths, porcelain dishes, and soft lighting make you feel like you’re dining in a romantic old-world salon.
The food is truly comforting and beautifully presented. I started with a classic borscht served in a red pot with rye bread and sour cream — rich, well-balanced, and deeply satisfying. The layered “Herring under a Fur Coat” salad was also excellent: delicate, vibrant, and perfectly seasoned. The Maslenitsa menu was a lovely surprise — I tried the homemade blinis with black caviar (Golden Osetra), served with onions, eggs, and sour cream, and every bite felt indulgent yet familiar.
Their cocktail list is impressive. I had the Figaro — a fig vodka cocktail with vermouth and bitters — and it was balanced, complex, and very unique. The playful names and creative ingredients show real thought and humor.
Service was gracious and warm — the staff were attentive and genuinely kind. It felt like visiting a close friend’s luxurious dining room. Mari Vanna offers a rich sensory experience rooted in tradition, and it’s absolutely worth visiting whether you’re rediscovering flavors from childhood or exploring them for the first time.

A hidden gem for Russian food in NYC! I came to Mari Vanna on a client’s recommendation and was pleasantly surprised. I wasn’t expecting much due to past experiences with Russian cuisine, but this place completely changed my mind.
We started with the blinis with salmon and caviar—a perfect intro. The Herring Under a Fur Coat was the standout dish. We also tried several flavors of their homemade infused vodkas—smooth, flavorful, and no hangover the next day!
I had the Beef Rossini for my main, which was tasty, though cooked a bit more than I requested. The vibe is cozy, full of vintage Russian charm, with friendly service and quick turnaround.
Highly recommend if you’re curious about authentic Russian food in NYC!

This spot is true to it’s name, serving what I like to call a farmer’s breakfast fit with meats, eggs, potatoes, and some kind of delectable carb on the side. I ordered the Boomer’s special which came with scrambled eggs, meat of choice, pancakes or waffles, plus home fries. I opted for crispy bacon and the blue berry pancakes. When I say that everything was cooked to perfection, I certainly mean it. Eggs were seasoned and tasted buttery, bacon was crisp as requested, even the blueberries in the pancakes were sweet and tender. This was well worth the $27 platter price considering this city has lower quality brunch plates for a few dollars less. I will note that extras, such as a side of the home-fries are an extra $9 for a little cup, but I suppose their profit margin is with drinks and these little side options. My partner got the chicken pot pie and it was solid, but a little on the salty side and a little overly sweet with too much rosemary in the filling. Probably wouldn’t order that again, but in general, this place seems like a well oiled machine. Service was smooth and precise, not overly personal or warm, but we got water and food in a timely manner, and they checked on us at least once. Decor is what some may consider shabby chic charming, but it was a little half-hazard and needed some editing on the second floor, namely with too many baskets crammed into the rafters, gathering some dust.

Such a cute spot! The whole place is so pretty even upstairs feels like a little farmhouse escape in the city. The service was great too. We asked our server for some suggestions and she nailed it. We shared the pancake with lemon zest and it was really good. I got the country grain bowl salad with chicken and it was super tasty and full of flavor. Satisfying!!
I’ll for sure be back and I totally recommend checking this place out. It’s a real gem!

My breakfast sandwich was delicious! Our server was very attentive and had the best vibes. The atmosphere inside is very old school and cute. Would definitely eat here again

My best restaurant experience in NYC! My fiancée and I got dinner there last night, we had super fast service, our waiter was the sweetest, super engaging, and truly seemed to love his job! We even got a complimentary cornbread... which was amazing. We sat outside, our food came quick, drinks were delicious. The atmosphere was so fricken cute. 10/10 would recommend you take a date night here or stop in and relax on your adventures.. you'll be very well taken care of! Bathroom was super clean too!

Charming farmhouse vibes at this quaint restaurant with a menu that is mostly brunch options with some lunch plates. Chicken pot pie was very good, and I nibbled some of my friend’s pancakes which were also delicious. Service seemed a bit inattentive but overall decent. Great option for lunch!
