3 Star Rating Came in for a bite to eat at a spot open late enough on a Sunday night. I ordered the French onion soup and the shepherds pie. The French onion soup was super cheesy in a good way, but it was hard to bite without eating so much of it in one bite. The broth and onions though were not cooked and simmered all the way through, so I’ve had better. The shepherds pie was solid though I felt like the entire dish could have used more salt to bring out the flavors of the meat and the potatoes. Pretty good value though!

5 Star Rating The Irish Pub atmosphere really worked for me. I am a pot pie lover, and Connolly's knows how to make a pot pie! The crust was light and flaky, the sauce was creamy, and the chicken was tender. I tasted my kid's fries and burger and had almost wished I ordered that. The loaded nachos were large enough for two and an absolute delight! Our waiter was a gem! The host was very welcoming aswell. Convient 3-4 minute walk from Time Square main strip. Next time I'm in New York, I'll definitely visit again!

2 Star Rating I was so excited bc the steak dinner looked amazing , I ordered my steak medium it came over done like leather … chicken tenders over cooked don’t bother and green beans were undercooked …my husband had a wrap he said no cucumbers .. it came with cucumbers had to wait 30 minutes before someone came and checked on us so I can tell them about the steak , the cook was very nice he apologized , but our waiter disappeared was hard to find …the guy behind the bar was nice until i went to leave and he yelled to us in front of everyone there that he wanted more money … we paid our bill we tipped him even after waiting an hour on another meal cause they messed up but it wasn’t good enough for him he wanted money he said for all the staff .. I find that super rude especially after our order being wrong and gross . The potatoes had no salt or flavor … 4$ per can of soda …. Stay humble we didn’t buy drinks at the bar we had no reason to tip the bartenders too and that pissed him off sad bc I’m Irish and we are not brought up that way ..

5 Star Rating Coming to Connolly’s since 2011. Great place to meet up with friends around the Times Square area. This place is not a tourist trap - it’s probably one of the best Irish bars/restaurants in NYC. These days I typically come here to catch the Premier League football games. The staff is always super friendly, especially this who are Liverpool supporters! Darren and Lorraine are the ones I frequently see when sitting at the bar. Always great banter and service. Friendly individuals. The food is great! I haven’t heard a single person I took here complain about their meal.

2 Star Rating My wife and I enjoyed an early (6:15pm) dinner before theatre. It took 20 minutes to get a drink. We ordered Bang Bang Shrimp which was good, but waited 10 minutes to get chop sticks, after requesting them from 3 separate servers. My main course tuna was very good, but my wife's salmon, ordered medium-rare was well done and dry. This is a pretty restaurant, but the dinner experience was not good. There are better choices ...

5 Star Rating If you’re looking for an impeccable meal with amazing plating look no further. Our experience here was beyond phenomenal! From the moment you’re greeted you will feel special. Erik was our server and he was not only knowledgeable about parings and selections, but personable as well. Travis, the GM checked on us middle meal and made us feel special (and we watched him do this to many customers). The atmosphere and the creations of the Chef rank this as a 5 star! Make sure to come here and create memories! Del Frisco has it right all the way around! Be sure to notice, as well, everyone who compliments the wait staff. They have multiple people servicing your table. Simply a must go to place! So blessed! Travis, Erik and crew thank you for being so amazing! Best wishes for continued success

3 Star Rating Del Frisco’s has a great ambiance and location that makes you feel you’re going to have an amazing steak! But the results are not great at all. For the price you’re paying you can get a better steak almost anywhere. We had two different cuts (med-rare) and while 2/3rd of the steak was good the last 3rd of both had a lot of tough tendons or fascia that made it inedible. We even saw another table have the same issue and spit out the tough meat like we did. Even if the steak was not out of this world, I don’t expect this from a restaurant of this level. The staff was alright for the most part but when they asked if the food was good felt like a formality and not genuine care and by the time we could answer had already moved to another table. What was weird was we weren’t offered the bread and noticed other tables got it which felt a little off. If I go back it would only be for the crab fried rice and the butter cake. Overall, disappointing experience because even if they steak was to “taste” I atleast expect it to be a good cut, or the sever being concerned when you can see big chunks of uneaten food on the plate.

4 Star Rating Food was good but overloaded with butter. My crab fried rice didn't have crab in it. The atmosphere was nice, but on January 8th, Christmas decors should have been taken down already, and the overall design and details are dated. 5 Star Rating Had an absolute blast at Ellen's Stardust Diner on Broadway! 🌟 This place is not your ordinary diner; it's a whole experience wrapped up with a bow of nostalgia and Broadway flair. The singing and dancing waiters were just phenomenal - each performance was so engaging, it felt like a mini Broadway show with every order. Seriously, these talented folks could easily be on the actual Broadway stage - And some if not most of them will be! The time just flew by - I was so caught up in the performances, I hardly noticed how long we were there. And let's talk about the food for a sec - so, so good! Classic diner fare but with that extra touch of love that makes all the difference. The atmosphere was just buzzing with energy and excitement, making the whole dining experience unforgettable. I'm already planning my next visit back to Ellen's. If you're looking for a side of spectacular performances with your meal, this is the spot. Broadway magic plus delicious food? Count me in any day! 🎤🍔🎶

5 Star Rating What a surprise! My friend recommended we try this diner, and what a treat… it’s yummy diner food (burgers and fries) paired with Broadway! Each server is an aspiring Broadway singer/actor/actress with each performing throughout our visit, and they come right up to your table. So there is a lot of interaction and audience participation. I now understand why the wait is so long to get in - this place is a lot of fun and our party of 6 was there for over 2 hours. Come hungry and ready to have a great time! They serve alcoholic beverages as well.

5 Star Rating Incredible 50s themed diner with amazing food and very very fast service. But the best thing is almost all the servers perform! Really good signers, the whole thing is an amazing spectacle. They just bring you a bunch of fries then get the mic and start signing with the most beautiful voice you will ever hear, for sure they aren't amateur. We really enjoyed our dinner there we went only for the food we had no idea we were going to experience one of the best dinners in our lives. Note: servers are only paid as servers not as signers so they really need your tip.

5 Star Rating This place was an absolute gem! The service was great, the food was good, the singing was fantastic and fun! Went for breakfast since we saw this place from our hotel room window, not knowing what it would be like so it was quite a pleasant surprise! The employees get turns to sing/perform throughout their shifts and donations collected to benefit the future of those employees looking to make it to Broadway shows. With a vast history I started learning during my visit by the manager (who visited every table to check in and spent time having meaningful conversations with everyone). Sitting on the top level was fun and next time I visit NYC I hope to sit on the bottom!

3 Star Rating Menu is more expensive than at other locations, and the food is less tasty. The service seemed good at first, but then our table's waiter (who doesn't even speak good English) pretended not to understand us and brought us a salad we didn't order. We told him we didn't want it, and he claimed it was included with my entree. In the end, it wasn't, and there was a $15 charge for the salad on our check. When we tried to explain that he made a mistake, he was very rude. A true New Yorker experience, I guess.

2 Star Rating First time in NYC! Traveling with some friends who had ate at previously and highly recommended The View. They had attended prior to the epidemic and experienced the revolving floor that added to the dining appeal. Sad to say that the floor no longer turned and menu was set, everyone eats the same thing, so hopefully you liked everything being served on the menu because there are no substitutions. In exchange for the revolving floor, you got a “show” of a miniature chef preparing each course that they bring out to you. While the staff was friendly and attentive and the meal presentation was cute, we were stunned and less than impressed by our enormous bill. For two people the bill was well over $400 which was more than our round trip flights to the city!! We were totally shocked and thrown off by this, as was our friend who had been a patron there before! She said that every about this experience had changed and was nothing like she remembered and wanted to share the experience again with us. Beware before booking your reservation as this is NOT budget friendly and you will want to make sure your taste buds align with the menu. This is not something I would recommend to a friend as I am sure there other nice eating establishments that would cost far less!

4 Star Rating This was our second time here with our family, but the first since Covid and the first since La Petite Chef. The bottom line is while still a superior restaurant, the price does not reflect much more than the payment to restore the spinning restaurant mechanism that makes "the view" worth it in the first place. Please note, and if you've seen our other reviews, you know that, at All Set Vacations, we pride ourselves on providing true and transparent editorial content based on all my years as a journalist and educator. We paid $1200 for this experience. Definitely arrive early. We shared drinks a snack in one of the lower floor restaurants first because we read that it might not be enough food, it definitely was enough food and the wine at dinner was also enough alcohol to suffice anyone. By arriving early, we enjoyed three different appetizers. They were ok, but mostly breading, so, nothing special. The show is cool, but, as a photographer and cinematographer/media person myself, felt a bit dated. Essentially, there is a ultra high resolution projector above your table with four specifically placed circles that mark your plate. That way the projector can the two-dimensional animation at the same time to all four place settings. It's a simple two-dimensional cartoon chef that runs around and you enjoy his antics for a few minutes as he prepares what you're about to eat and then the food is served right afterwards. That's pretty much it. It was cool but nothing that was mouth dropping or eye opening other than just being a novelty. It would definitely be worth a look to do it once but not sure if it warrants the heavy price tag. I'm not sure if I would recommend coming here just for this part alone. However, the food, plus this experience, depending on your preference for something different could make it worth it. Now for the food itself at dinner. The food was amazing, but, heavy! How anyone can say they didn't feel they ate enough is beyond me! The cream base on many dishes filled us up and we definitely felt it! The portions are fine. I did a little digging and looked up each one of the pairing wines individually. They are all very highly ranked and we're all delicious. We have more of a preference for red and we know a bottle of stag sleep alone is a $100 bottle. So having two glasses of that was wonderful. Put that together with all the other ones and if you're a wine person, this is like having a high-end flight. I also included a picture of the menu to see all food and beverage offerings. The dinner courses were fantastic, fresh, and served perfectly. The lobster included a portion of a tail and one claw (would have loved more of that for the price like half of a normal 8 oz tail or skip the rubbery claw even though it helps the presentation). The beef short rib was very tender as well. The first course, again, solid, and the desert was complex and balanced. So....let's lay it out and see if it gets an 'All-Set' seal of approval.....-after the breakdown. Let's be generous and assume each wine glass costs $20. For my wife and I, that would be $160 total. Let's give the first course a $20 price on a normal menu, that's $80 for all four of us. Second course $30 each normally, $120 total. Let's assume each main entree of short ribs would be a max of $50 each- $200 total. And dessert, $20 each or $80 total. So... for 4 people, 2 adults and 2 kids: That's $640 for a really wonderful dinner for the four of us at a decent high view of the other tall buildings in the area. ( remember, it's not spinning currently). Add in a tip of 130 and that's $770. That's essentially a markup of $430 that is likely paying for the projector and, from what we learned, management to save up to turn the spinning motor back on! Final thoughts: if you can rationalize the extra costs for the experience, do it once but, without the spinning view, the view ( name of the restaurant)! isn't great. But, the food, drinks ,and service is worth $640, but not $1200!

3 Star Rating My boyfriend made reservations months in advance for my birthday dinner at Le Petit Chef. The restaurant is located in the Marriott Hotel on the top floor. We took the elevator all the way up; it was crazy, went up so high our ears popped. (47 Stories above Times Square) Upon arrival they welcomed us with a glass of champagne. They told us to arrive 15 minutes earlier and we were there about 8 minutes after. Some people had gotten small bites of food but our group didn’t receive any. We waited in a small room before going into the main dining area. We were able to take pictures but the lighting inside wasn't the most flattering. Soon after they escorted us one by one to our tables. They gave us bread rolls with olive oil and butter. The butter they gave was a bit ghetto. They kept it in the packaging like they would at a basic diner. The bread looked good but tasted stale. We asked the server to get us a new batch. The lights went a little dim and the show started. We all had our own individual projection screens pointing at our table. Before every course the (mini animated chef) would prepare the food in front of us. Each course felt like it had a 5 minute show. The first course was Burrata and Maple Kabocha. Presentation was very pretty, the burrata was good, and I especially enjoyed the mini balls of what tasted like vinegary/sweet flavor. The only thing was that it was very simple. For the price they are charging per person there should have been a little more to the plate. They sliced up plain apples and frisee with no dressing on it like rabbit food. Each course got paired with a specific wine, the one they gave us paired very well with the salad. The second course was Maine Lobster Risotto. Show was cool; I loved how immediately after the show ended the servers came out ready. The risotto unfortunately was cold and had a small portion. I could honestly say we finished the entire plate in 3-4 bites. After they served the risotto a server came around to the whole restaurant with black pepper. By the time he came to our table to ask us if we wanted any, we were already done. The taste was good but nothing special, maybe i’m just not a lobster person. The wine they served with this course also paired very well. The third course (MY FAV) was Beef Short Ribs. Meat was so soft there was no need to use a knife. Everything on my plate was very tasty, especially the sauce they put on top. I wish there was more. The only thing they could have kept off of our plates were the charred broccolini. Left a bad bitter taste in my mouth so we pushed those to the side. Compared to the other two courses this was a better sized portion. They also served a great red wine to pair with the steak. For dessert which was my second fave they gave a deconstructed mix of different items. It was a Matcha Coconut Espresso Fusion. In the bowl there were small pieces of chocolate, ice cream, crunchy coconut, marshmallow, matcha, raspberry and topped off with a warm espresso ganache. Was plated beautifully in a clear glass bowl. They even came out with a candle and Happy Birthday written on my plate. All in all it was a very different and cool experience. I’ve always wanted to come to a restaurant like this so I was happy I got to try it. The servers were very sweet and attentive. They even offered to take pictures of us together throughout the night. Would I be back? Probably not. The price you're paying is not worth the food you're eating. We left there pretty hungry still. Also wish the lighting inside was a bit darker so you can enjoy the presentation more. Still appreciated the show and effort. P.S. You guys should re-model your restrooms, for such a nice restaurant an upgrade is necessary.

5 Star Rating This is our go to restaurant in midtown and today did not disappoint. We went after a broadway show and had a reservation. We were greeted by the host and seated promptly. All of our servers were friendly and attentive. All of our meals were excellent. We had the caprice salad, fried mozzarella for appetizers. For main courses we had chicken Parmigiana, rigatoni with vodka sauce and Chicken Fantasia all of which were excellent. I would highly recommend Trattoria Trecolori for a great meal at reasonable prices.

5 Star Rating Incredible experience at Trattoria Trecolori. Amazing service and atmosphere. The food was as good as it gets for Italian food in the US. The rigatoni was excellent. The chocolate mousse cake was fantastic. When I come back to NYC, I will do my best to return!

5 Star Rating We decided to celebrate my wife's birthday at this restaurant before heading to a Broadway show, and it turned out to be an incredible dining experience. The food surpassed all expectations and can easily be considered some of the best I've ever had. From the mouthwatering Fettucini Alfredo and Gnochi with homemade noodles and sauce to the heavenly tiramisu and lattes, every dish was simply out of this world. Carlos, our waiter, along with the rest of the wait staff, provided impeccable service, showing great attentiveness to our needs. Without a doubt, we will be returning to this restaurant when we visit again.

4 Star Rating My husband took me here for our first anniversary dinner. The vibe and atmosphere was great. The server was very attentive. The food was good, but it was not as great as I was expecting. I'm a pretty tough critic when it comes to Italian food, and I was hoping that it would be more authentic. My husband got the carbonara, which he loved. And I got the Gnocchi. It was still good! Just not amazing.

3 Star Rating I had lunch here with some friends on a Thursday at 1:30. It was already full when I arrived. They were very nice to seat me before my party arrived. They didn't rush us out like a lot of places this time of year. I can't fault the service, top notch. My problem was the food. It didn't wow me. I had the pappardelle. I found the meat on the dry side and came out warm not hot. The cheese didn't melt so it was hard. There wasn't anything on the menu you wouldn't find at any other Italian restaurant. Prices were what was expected for the area.

5 Star Rating One of the best meals I've had in a long time! The atmosphere is laid back, and the service is incredibly attentive from the hostess to the bussers. Ramon, our server, was absolutely wonderful and made us feel right at home. Last but not least... THE FOOD!!! We ate until our buttons were ready to burst because everything was so delicious! 10/10

5 Star Rating This was one of our favorite places we tried while visiting. First thing, the menu has a typo on it for the pork lovers trio. The first one listed as a pork lover trio is the pork lover. The second one is not a pork lover trio it will include chicken, pork, and beef. We said pork lover trio, not realizing there were two items called that. This led to some confusion. That said, the pork lover trio was extremely tasting. We will def be going back. We had 4 people, so we ordered 2 towers of pork lovers and a side of sweet plantains. We would def visit this restaurant again when in the area. Convenient to Time Square.

5 Star Rating Went here on a whim, and so greatful we did. Walked in to live Cuban music and a very lively and popping atmosphere. Greeted by a fantastic staff and seated immediately. Served food until 11 pm which is actually harder than one would think to find in NYC on a Friday evening. Our server was incredible, food was top-tier, drinks were aplenty, tasty and not week by any means. Pricing was also great considering all of the above. Would most definitely recommend to anyone traveling in the area and we would 1,000% go back to try other items on the menu.

We were too full to try dessert unfortunately! The staff was very friendly and helpful with picking our entrees. Would love to visit again next time I'm in town :)

5 Star Rating You expect to find great food in NYC. Plenty of street vendors, cafés, restaurants. Then, sometimes you want to go upscale. We wanted seafood. Someplace elegant, but not too much. Oceana was a perfect fit. Loved the warm and cozy atmosphere. You enjoy fine wine. They have a deep selection with expert advice. The menu has options for everyone's seafood tastes. Our server was attentive but not pushy. Dessert and after dinner drinks were perfect. A wonderful experience.

5 Star Rating Just had my dinner “experience” here. I can now die. I’ve had the best meal of my life!!!!! I am from a seaside town in Sicily and this fish was comparable to the fish that is caught fresh daily. The food just melted in my mouth. It is slightly expensive but the satisfaction was worth every penny. You MUST try this establishment. Ps.. staff was incredible. Thanks Felipe.

5 Star Rating Oceana in NYC is a haven for seafood lovers, consistently praised for its fresh, high-quality ingredients and impeccable service. Their seafood tower is a must-order, overflowing with glistening oysters, succulent shrimp, and tender lobster. Don't miss the scallops, cooked to perfection and swimming in a flavorful beurre blanc sauce. The friendly and attentive staff will make your dining experience truly unforgettable.

5 Star Rating Delicious food and excellent service. Wine pairings from the sommelier were a perfect complement to our meal. Had a large party of 8 for an early pre-theater meal and they accommodated our timing. Thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Will come again.
