You definitely have a good time alone or with family. The staff are friendly, the owner is very nice. I ordered Home fries, and they didn't come a lot for me. I can eat, I asked and they gave me more. So I think they listen to you.

Went with the kids today. Service was good for a busy Sunday morning. We all enjoyed our food. Grilled cheese, side of bacon, pancakes and spinach and feta omelette. Parking was easy and price for the quality and amount of food was good. We will be back

Regrettably, our seating arrangements were compromised due to preferential treatment accorded to patrons with personal connections to the owner. Consequently, we were left with an unsatisfactory table and were denied access to a high chair, while other guests who arrived after us were promptly accommodated.

We popped in here for breakfast before the ferry. We were warmly welcomed by the waitress. The food and coffee were very tasty and the portions were large. The gentleman from the staff also asked if everything was OK and poured some coffee. We recommend.

The place is small, but the food is absolutely amazing here. You can smell the food from blocks. They are mostly known for their rotisserie chicken, but if you haven't tried their other food, you must try it. They are definitely the most underrated spot in sunset . They food speaks volumes and definitely give them a try.

If I'm around the area and hungry I will come here to get some tacos. Every time I come I have always enjoyed my food. The flavors are great especially when you add some of their green chili hot sauce on top. It's never the trains so you won't have to walk to far

I was so in the mood for good rotisserie chicken. Came here for the first time and I will be back! The chicken was moist, full of flavor without being salty. Which I appreciated because I watch the salt. The only reason I didn’t do 5 stars all around is because I was dying for sweet plantains which they didn’t have on Tuesday. There are different menus throughout the week. It smelled wonderful in there. I will be back to try other dishes. 👍👍👍

I almost came to this place every day for breakfast! The bagels were amazing. We used to get eggs and cheese bagels and they were awesome also the pancakes. The cappuccino had a nice blend of coffee. The guys working there were very friendly and welcoming. I do highly recommend this place if you are up for a decent bite with a reasonable prices.

One of the best spots for a quick bite in this neighborhood. They have a huge menu with all kinds of deli classics as well as fresh bagels and smoothies on deck. Prices are always good, and the food is better.

This place has some of the freshest food in the area. I’ve tried many options trying to find something that I didn’t enjoy and I have yet to get that done. From their breakfast to the lunch and dinner choices this place doesn’t miss. Today I ordered the chicken Philly with lettuce and tomato on a hero, so good. Highly recommend this place.

Breakfast here is fast, filling, delicious and best of all affordable. I got the French toast deluxe that came with French toast, eggs, meat of choice and potatoes for only $10!! Will definitely be back for their other selections.

$17.00- Red/green marinade 4/10 didn’t really like the sauce, too thick $19.50- Mixed fajitas 8/10 came out great wish  there was more flavor than tomato $5.50 (2)- Horchata is water down, they let us switch drinks and it was water down too Total: $45.75 (included tax)

Just by fluke, we found this place walking 5 Avenue yesterday in Brooklyn. I have to say, what a stroll along 5 Avenue it was. From the various clothing stores and walk up restaurants to the locals on the sidewalk selling various homemade goodies to eat. And then out of nowhere, we found this sit down resturant right on 5 Avenue. It was around 6:30pm and maybe 6-7 tables had customers. Then by 7:30pm this place was jammed packed. The food, the service - all of it was over the top. A work colleague and myself shared a dish, there was enough for 4 people (seriously). Everything was delicious. Great job all, personally I came from Vancouver, BC Canada. And have to say, that was hands down the best Mexican Dish I had ever, ever had. Well done !

I’ve been going to Jalapeños for years and have always experienced wonderful service. The food is absolutely delicious and tasty, the portions are amazing, the drinks are delicious and very reasonable, and the wait time for the food is impressive. The music and atmosphere makes me relaxed, yet makes me want to dance! I’m a regular!! Love it here!!

Highly recommend their combo number 13. Perfect fried pork chop. Fast, juicy, crispy, not too dry or greasy. Rice and beans are also tasty. I ate this many years ago it still the same, perfect. That’s how their Philly cheesesteak likes. Not like Philly cheesesteaks in Philly but still not bad. Tonight one of the plantains is not well done, kind of hard. Beans are not soft enough. But it’s alright. A lot of options. Clean, tasty, affordable, exquisitely. Order normally take 15-20 minutes to prepare. Suggest you order take out through the phone or dine in. You can order by English or Spanish.

It’s usually good but this time they delivered me scraps! My half of chicken looks like dog food, they gave me a big salad with a teaspoon of salad dressing ! I asked before delivery for a lot of salad dressing and garlic sauce I only received the teaspoon of French dressing only . I called and asked can they deliver more she said no mommy I’m sorry ! after I gave the delivery guy a good tip the 1st time ! I’m giving these guys a break I’m devastated.

As a latin American, when it comes to Latino food it's hard to impress me. But this place which has been in the neighborhood for over 20 years I admit has the best tasting Dominican food and the chef in this place has a french influence in his culinary background and it shows in the food. I recommend having any of the steak choices they have, they all are cooked to perfection and the best part is when that bill comes youll see that they are still on 90s prices plus the service is 5 stars on it's own if your a wine connoisseur your see they have a nice selection. Just a diamond in the neighborhood it will not disappoint you enjoy.

Dropped into the Irish haven on Monday 18th march,,, I felt right at home straight away, bar staff are really friendly and they can pull you a decent pint of cream... Got talking to the owner's, lovely lads, chatted to them for awhile, and had a good few pints, it made my day to meet some great people... Cozy bar with lovely bar tenders, great vibes, pool, darts, and live music. The night we went they had open bar for $20 for 2 hours which is goated for NYC. They even pour their Guinness correctly AND in the proper glass.

My wife was giving birth at the nearby hospital, and she has several food intolerances that prevented her from eating the hospital food. This restaraunt saved us with their delicious chicken noodle soup broth with no carrots! They are also very polite and accommodating.

This used to be my favorite comfort-food restaurant, and for the last couple of weeks they have been messy. It started as bad and now we are at worst. I feel like the food is overcooked, and I really don’t like to eat too crispy fries and/or chicken. Additionally, I think they are literally counting the fries because they used to fill the containers, but now, not so much. And today it was last straw for me and my family because I found a hair in my fries. I realized that they don’t use hair nets or anything like that. To top it off, I saw a lady that helps there brush her nose then going back to tending the food. Why? I don’t know if they changed management, but I don’t think I can go back there. I understand that accidents happen, but there has to be a standard for cleanliness when it comes to restaurants. Also, when I called I ordered the first three items and they couldn’t even let me finish ordering? Why? Anyways, I think I would like the old people back please. I tried to be as constructive and objective as possible in this review.

The food was great im surprised this place doesn't have better reviews. Maybe they stepped their game up recently. All of the food had a lot of flavor. I mean real flavor not just msg. The dumplings were the best Ive had in the area for sure. The outside of them was caramelized but not burnt or dry, and there was green onion inside the dumpling, just a lot of flavor. 5 wantons in the soup (usually places give 3) and the broth was a dark color full of flavor. was not reminiscent of salty pee like most places. The chicken was as good as anywhere else Ive gotten it. definitely was not worse. I was surprised everything was so much better because it was actually a little cheaper than the other 2 places I frequent. This is my new go-to place if they can keep doing what they are doing.

Johnny's was (and will always be) a core memory of my childhood and lifetime. The wooden benches in the back, the hot slice on a paper plate, the glass oregano and pepper shakers. Nobody beats Johnny's, and I don't know where we'll find such good pizza after they close up shop. It feels like a chapter of me has closed up too. We'll miss you guys so much, wishing you all the best ❤️

I've been going to Johnny's pizza for over 30 years, long before google ever existed. I've never had a better pizza, and I've tried quite a few over the years. For a good part of my childhood I lived just across the street. The Miniaci family has always felt like an extension of my own. No matter how busy it got John always had an extra moment to chat with my parents, ask about our family, and wish us well on our way out. I live in WA now, and I wish I could be there to celebrate their well deserved retirement. Home will never be the same without you guys. Thank you for all of the years. Thank you for all the love. Thank you for the best pizza in the world. You will be forever in my heart 💖

If you find yourself in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, pop into Johnny's Pizza for the real deal. The owner, Johnny, took my son's multiple allergies (pn, tn, egg, fish, sesame, poppy, pumpkin, sunflower seeds) very seriously; in fact, Johnny's daughter has allergies, so he understood! Johnny's is very much an old-school, authentic pizza joint-nothing fancy- just really delicious Brooklyn pizza! Perfection!! Pictured is their square pie.

Great and tasty Salvadorian/Mexican food. Very generous portions of food for the price. We ordered through Seamless and food took around 45 minutes to be delivered but it was definitely worth it. Saved the restaurant as a favorite. Thank you El Espino!

This place is an addiction to the neighborhood. Since I started coming here, I can’t stop. Smoothies are so Good!!! I tried all of them but my favorite from menu is Coffee Fuel. I also enjoyed the Italian wrap and oatmeal which was so delicious and filling. I can see myself craving this often and will be coming here regularly. Acai bowl was amazing, fresh fruits perfectly blended and great portion at a great price point. Everything else looks delicious but the Brazil Acai Bowl is really tasty/refreshing. Glad to have a health conscious place around the neighborhood. Also the workers was pleasant and extremely helpful and polite. Mateo was really knowledgable and very kind. 10/10. La Jugueria 2 is the smoothie bar in Sunset Park I never knew I needed. The smoothies and juices are made to order, and the options are endless. I’ve also had their açaí bowl and mango chia pudding, and everything has been spot on!
