4 Star Rating Looking for a standout in the Lincoln Center area? The Smith may just be the answer to your problem. We had a reservation for breakfast and I’m glad we did cause despite arriving at opening, seats began quickly getting filled here. The interior is great, a nod to old school New York. The outside, where we sat, was nice as well. They were very accommodating of our dog by bringing him a water bowl and the outdoor dining area is well staffed. The service is good too. We ordered pretty quick and the food also came out quick as well. Here’s how the food was: We started off with a mac and cheese, which may sound crazy but man was it the right decision. The mac and cheese was phenomenal, cheese dripping and noodles perfectly chewy. The top had that crust too, just great. We also ordered the french toast and it was good as well. The bread was thick and soft, the caramelized bananas were a bit sweet though so we ate it without to balance out the flavor. The Benedict Johnny was good, the cornbread sweet and savory. The chicken sausage was good and the poached egg added a good texture to things and a bit more flavor. We also grabbed a cappuccino that was frothy and well made. The food altogether was very good and we were happily surprised with the quality of everything. Even though it was on the pricier side of things, we would definitely come back if we’re ever in the area.

5 Star Rating Stopped by The Smith on a Tuesday during lunch hour, surprisingly lively but still had available tables. The place was spotless, well-organized, and had a welcoming vibe from the moment I walked in. Every staff member I encountered, from the host to the lovely server Joyce, was genuinely warm and attentive. The food was fresh, well-prepared, and perfect for a quick but satisfying bite. Even the small touches like clean utensils and fresh garnishes ... all stood out. It’s a great go-to spot for a casual lunch, conveniently located right across from Lincoln Center. Whether you're catching a matinee or just in the area, The Smith hits all the right notes.

5 Star Rating My husband and I took a spontaneous trip to New York with no plans as to where to eat, what we would do, etc, and we landed here for dinner and boy did we luck out! The food was incredible, we had the calamari, arancini, and their potato chips with blue cheese fondue, all of which were spectacular! We had the pleasure of having Justin R as our server, he was fantastic and recommended a wonderful cocktail, the Cucumber Loco (tequila drink). Finally, we happened to get a chance to try the apple tart for dessert and wow! I am not normally a dessert person but this was fantastic. Hands down we would come back again next time we visit the city. The restaurant, the food, the staff and the atmosphere were all amazing!

3 Star Rating [i went last year in 2024, but just posting this now] We chose outdoor seating on a drizzly summer night. The location was nice, there were still people walking around and cars driving by at 10pm on a Friday night. The sticky toffee pudding was amazing I would come back just for the pudding!! The peppers were too salty (and greasy) for me at times, it was a hit or miss. I didn't try the salmon, but my boyfriend said it was "not bad." Overall food was meh until we got to the pudding.

5 Star Rating Was going to a show at the Lincoln center and this restaurant was right across the street so we decided to check it out on a recommendation from a friend. I'm so glad I did because everything about this place was phenomenal!!! I made a reservation online and we were seated as soon as we walked in the door. Our waitress came over immediately. Brought us water told us about the menu and that they were known for their burgers. So obviously that's what we had to try! It was absolutely cooked too perfection and the fries are shoestring fries and we're absolutely delicious. We started with a couple of cocktails and I was obsessed with the little old school red and white tablecloths they had as well. Every single person we encountered on this staff was friendly and helpful and wonderful. I cannot recommend this place enough. Prices were very average for New York but the atmosphere puts this place over the top!!! I will definitely go back!

3 Star Rating Honestly, this was a demeaning experience. We came to the Lincoln Square location of P.J. Clarke’s hoping for a classic, satisfying meal. Instead, we waited nearly 40 minutes for two burgers (both The Cadillac) and a lobster roll (I chose it Maine style, which supposedly has mayonnaise and lemon but I’ve personally found no trace of them). When the food finally arrived, the burgers weren’t cooked as we asked them to (one medium rare and the other one medium), and the fries were shockingly bad and I mean probably the worst I’ve ever had in my life, cold, stale, and borderline inedible. The so-called waffle fries were chips soaked in what seemed like 6-days-old oil. It takes real effort to serve fries that awful. Now I know this might sound harsh but I have high food standards (and I at least expect my food to be edible) since I’m Italian but I also have years of experience in a kitchen myself so the meal that arrived to my table today hardly makes sense to me! Especially if we’re considering that P.J. Clarke’s name has been around since 1884! The lobster roll? Cold (now the lobster can be served at low temperatures without altering its flavor) but the bun tasted as if it was sitting there for 40 minutes, oh wait, it did! The Lobster Roll was not terrible, (how could you go wrong with lobster?!) but definitely not what you’d expect from a place that prides itself on East Coast staples and managed to open multiple locations in the City. Furthermore these chips it came with were truly unapproachable! The Dessert we were told was a “key lime pie” turned out to be a lime cheesecake with very sugary whipped cream, again, not bad, but kinda misleading. On the bright side there was the service at least, with Shona, our waitress. She gave us a great table, offered us to take the fries off our bill and delivered a good service. Without her, this would have easily been be a one-star review, no question. In the end, nothing about the food felt really cared for and despite the lobster and the lime cheesecake were good nothing else was really outstanding. In the burgers you can’t taste the cheese and the bacon they came with had the right saltiness but was not crispy. For the price and reputation, this felt like a slap in the face. A deeply underwhelming and ultimately disappointing meal. I was definitely expecting something more!

5 Star Rating Amazing burger! Bun was soft, meat was perfectly charred, and nothing was overwhelming. Really good balance. The chicken milanese also stood out, and I was able to take half of it back home since it was such a generous serving. Maybe skip the pretzels - they were a bit too rich for us. Great experience dining here late after the movies on a friday night. It can get a bit loud if the bar is full but I would definitely come again. Great american classics!

3 Star Rating We have been here many times, and the service is hit or miss. The server we had recently was rude and dismissive. He came to the table and instead of greeting us, he literally said “yes…” - I could have entered what we wanted into the system myself and not deal with his dismissive behavior. Anyways, that was one server. We’ve also had very pleasant staff that were great. They are often very busy around 6:00pm to accommodate for the Lincoln center crowd. So if you don’t like a busy environment, avoid 6-7pm. Food is good, nothing spectacular. The hummus is delicious. Crab cakes are very salty.

4 Star Rating PJ Clarke's is hands down one of my favorite burger spots in the city. I always go for the Cadillac burger, cooked to perfection at medium, paired with their perfectly crispy fries. The simplicity of the meal is what makes it so irresistible. To top it off, I ordered a Manhattan, which was impressively strong. This location is surprisingly spacious, especially compared to the one I've visited on the East Side. Plus, they're open until midnight--a definite bonus! The vibe was vibing in here!

Started with the guacamole and they make it right in front of your to your liking whether you want mild, medium or spicy. It was delicious, we got it mild. The cocktails were great! I had the pomegranate frozen margarita which is one of their signature cocktails. For my entree I had the birrias quesatacos. Can’t go wrong with them. And don’t pass on the desert, the flan is one of the best flans I’ve ever had. Will definitely go here again!

5 Star Rating I was just strolling through the area looking for a good bite to eat and wow, this place definitely hit the spot! First off, shoutout to Luis, my server, who was straight from heaven. He knew the menu like the back of his hand, was incredibly attentive, and just an all-around joy. Then there was Israel, who made the tableside guacamole...major bonus! and on top of it, he was so personable, charming, and fun to chat with. Now let’s talk food: The chips, salsa, and guac? Fresh fresh fresh. Like, I could taste the love in each bite. I ordered a mojito, and it was hands down one of the best I’ve had in a long time. So much so, I splurged and had two! For my meal, I had the Baja fish tacos, and let me tell you: I would literally come back just for those tacos. Perfectly seasoned, super fresh ingredients, and felt like an authentic Mexican street-style dish. The aesthetics of the place are super cool: multi-level seating (both upstairs and downstairs), plus an outdoor patio. I noticed a pup sitting outside with its owner, so it looks like they’re dog-friendly at least for the outdoor area. Cleanliness? Spot on. Floors, tables, bathrooms: all spotless and well-stocked. Everyone from the host to the bus staff was warm, friendly, and full of good vibes. It really added to the whole experience. And best of all, it's right across from Lincoln Center, so if you're in the area, this spot is a must try. I’ll definitely be back!

5 Star Rating My recent visit to Rosa Mexicano was pretty cool. I was on a solo date at Lincoln Center, and from the time I purchased my ticket for the show, I made a reservation, for one. Upon arrival, I noticed the bright and welcoming decor, along with the light early evening buzz, it was a little after 4:30pm. Unfortunately, the host didn’t match that energy. The individual was very dry and blah. But I wasn’t going to allow them to dampen my mood. I was seated, then warmly greeted by my server. He brought a bowl of fresh tortilla chips and salsa, both tasty! After a few minutes, the server return for my order. He got all the fine details correct, without writing them down (impressive). In the past I’ve had their popular margaritas, but that day I enjoyed my meal with an individual bottle of Saratoga Sparkling water, with a wedge of lemon and lime. (So satisfying!!) As for my meal, I had roasted mushroom enchiladas, w/ a side Mexican rice and ripe plantain… oh so delicious!!! Overall, I enjoyed my evening at Rosa Mexicano, and will surely go again!

4 Star Rating Bar Boulud, although called a "casual bistro" by Chef Daniel Boulud, feels more like a fine dining spot. The atmosphere is elegant yet lively, with a welcoming vibe that avoids being too formal. Most of the guests are older (like me), but the mood is still relaxed and fun. We visited Bar Boulud before seeing Firebird at the New York City Ballet, which is right next door. It's a great location for those attending events at Lincoln Center, making it perfect for a pre-show meal or a post-performance drink to celebrate. The service here is top-notch—attentive and professional, but not stiff or overbearing. The menu features a variety of pâtés and terrines, along with classic French bistro dishes made with great skill and care. Some of our favorite dishes included: • La Soupe à l'Oignon Gratinée: This French onion soup was incredible. The broth was rich and flavorful, with perfectly caramelized onions, lots of melted Gruyère cheese, and crispy baguette croutons. • Le Steak Frites: This classic dish was done perfectly. The steak was cooked just right, and the fries were crispy on the outside and tender inside. The Bordelaise sauce was a nice touch. • La Salade Niçoise: A fresh, light option to balance the other dishes. The seared tuna was excellent, and the salad had fresh veggies, olives, a perfectly cooked egg, and haricots verts, all tied together with a smooth aïoli. Overall, Bar Boulud is a wonderful place to enjoy a refined meal in a lively, relaxed setting. It's an especially great choice for anyone attending events at Lincoln Center. Be sure to make a reservation.

5 Star Rating I thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant. I received tier one service from the time I walked through the door. The food was delicious and extremely flavorful. I strongly suggest the duck. 5 Star Rating Dinner at Lincoln Ristorante was a whole experience. It’s located right at Lincoln Center, and the setting couldn’t be more stunning—huge glass windows, modern architecture, and the most elegant ambiance. Perfect for a pre-show dinner or just a classy night out. Here’s what I ordered: 🍝 Lasagna (special of the day) – Absolutely delicious. Rich, layered perfectly, and the sauce was balanced and fresh. 🐟 Hamachi crudo – Light, citrusy, and super fresh. Great starter. 🥩 Veal wrapped in prosciutto – A standout dish. Tender, salty-sweet, and so flavorful. 🍨 Housemade ice cream – Simple and refreshing. 🍹 And of course, I had an Aperol Spritz to keep it classy. The service was great—attentive and warm without being overbearing. The staff knows the menu and made the whole evening feel seamless. The view of Lincoln Center adds a really special vibe to the dinner. 💵 Pricing: On the higher side (expect to spend around $100+ per person with drinks), but totally worth it for a special night. 📍 Location: 142 W 65th St, New York, NY 10023 ⏰ Hours: Open for dinner Tuesday through Saturday, 4 PM–9 PM 💬 Reservations recommended (especially if you’re heading to a show after!) 👗 Dress Code: Smart casual to chic ⸻ ✨ If you’re into modern Italian cuisine, elevated vibes, and fresh seasonal ingredients, Lincoln Ristorante is a must in NYC. 5 Star Rating Beautiful experience at Lincoln Ristorante. Came here for a dinner with a winemaker, and Lincoln was all too accommodating. Fantastic food, excellent service, and a warm, elegant atmosphere. Highly recommend the Rigatoni Amatriciana and the sunchokes starter. House bread excellent too! My only complaint is servers were removing plates before everyone at the table had finished their course, which felt a bit rushed / unprofessional. Still, everyone was kind, efficient, and attentive -- we had a wonderful experience overall.

5 Star Rating We had a lovely experience at Lincoln Ristorante. The service was excellent—attentive and friendly without being overbearing. The dining room itself is absolutely beautiful, offering a sophisticated yet comfortable atmosphere. We started with the Pizza Roman, which had a deliciously crisp and flavorful bread base, and a side of olives that were perfectly briny. The roast chicken was juicy and well-seasoned, and the meatballs were rich and satisfying. For drinks, we enjoyed an espresso martini and a glass of Chardonnay—both great pours. Dessert was a decadent chocolate tortino, which was the perfect sweet ending to the meal. We did notice a charge for a tea refill, which I think is a bit tacky when you’re already spending so much on dinner. Still, overall it was a great night, and we’d definitely consider returning

5 Star Rating Top tier. As a tourist, I'd heard about the banana pudding plenty of times and was dying to try it. The store is located around lots of other shops and places to see and was just a short walk from Central Park, so it's easy to work a visit into a day filled with other activities, which I like. There was a bit of a line, which is to be expected, but it moved quickly and it gave me time to look at everything else on the menu. I ended up with the large carton of banana pudding and it's what dreams are made of. It was light and fluffy, with fresh bananas and wafer cookies throughout while still having a rich flavor. The banana flavor was fresh throughout, no artificial or overly sweet flavor like some banana-flavored puddings. Definitely worth it.

5 Star Rating We had lunch sitting outside. It was nice but actually sitting inside was very nice setting. We had set lunch of cauliflower, chicken pillard, and gelato. My husband had salad, pizza, and gelato. My son had calamari, chicken parm, and mousse. The portions were so large that we could barely finished half of it. Tge food was delicious. Our sever was also very nice and friendly l. It really made the dinning experience here so great.

5 Star Rating Italian food made the way I like it. I'll be coming back in the future. The service was excellent. We were a party of 6 and they were able to attend to all of us. The vibe inside would probably have been better, but sadly we were seated outside due to our party size (6). But we didn't mind because the outside area was warmed by their outdoor heater. Something to note is that the restroom is in a really narrow and tight hallway, even the actual restroom is quite tight.

4 Star Rating Came here with my partner for their signature open-faced lasagna with meatballs, short rib, and burrata, always our fave. It was my third visit, and my partner’s been coming for years. We started with the 3-for-$27 vegetable antipasto bar (mushroom trifolati, truffle potato pie, and cauliflower Milanese) - all tasty, especially the truffle potato pie. Lasagna for two was delicious and generously portioned. We finished with a trio of pistachio, chocolate, and vanilla ice cream - all great. Service was quick and efficient. The place is lively and a bit loud, but the ambiance is fun, with plaques on tables naming celebs who’ve dined there. Prices have gone up (lasagna went from $40 to $50 since March 2024), but the food and experience are worth it. Definitely recommend trying the lasagna!

5 Star Rating Classic Italian spot. The service was real quick and great. The food was super good, but the real highlight was the enormous chicken parmigiana. The chicken was perfectly breaded and so thin and crispy. The spaghetti on the side was the perfect compliment to the enormous chicken parmigiana. Will definitely be back for the chicken parmigiana

4 Star Rating visiting the Metropolitan Opera—it's only a three-minute walk away. It was incredibly busy, so we settled for spots at the bar. While the food arrived almost immediately, my Italian wedding soup wasn't hot, which was a bit disappointing. Still, the bread was delicious—warm and fresh. My friend found their ravioli and Margherita pizza to be average.

5 Star Rating One of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a while! Every single dish was bursting with flavor — from the perfectly fried calamari and the rich seafood pasta, to the creamy ravioli and fresh oysters. The seafood tower was a showstopper. The space is elegant and cozy at the same time, with warm lighting, beautiful booths, and a chandelier that sets the mood just right. Service was impeccable — friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Highly recommend for a special dinner!

5 Star Rating With the dim lighting and gorgeous crystal chandeliers, this place is elegant and lovely. We were seated at a table for 4, and so we were able to spread out and relax. Our server was friendly and provided us details on sides and desserts. Our lobster came out with different sauce options and was expertly prepared. And the bread basket was so pretty and also delicious. Bravo to present dessert with a birthday candle!

5 Star Rating This is my favorite restaurant near Lincoln Center. It’s always packed with stylish locals, mostly seniors, which adds to the charm and trust of the place. While dinner here is great, I had the pleasure of visiting for Sunday lunch with a special guest. As always, everything was delicious—from the fresh oysters and octopus carpaccio to the ravioli, paella, scallops, and dessert. The service was also impeccable. Once again, I was reminded that this is a restaurant that never disappoints, no matter when you visit.

5 Star Rating My husband and I had a great dinner at Atlantic Grill! The atmosphere was stylish but still cozy, and the service was super friendly. We shared the Dragon Roll sushi, and it was incredible – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The eel, avocado, and tempura shrimp were the perfect combo, and the sauce added just the right touch of sweetness. We’ll definitely be back for another date night!

5 Star Rating Went here to celebrate my best friends birthday and it was absolutely phenomenal. Gonzalo made the best espresso martini and the beef cheeks were my favorite on the menu. Marjorie took very good care of us on my best friend special day.

4 Star Rating Upscale Italian restaurant. High end service. We both order the ossobucco which came with a saffron risotto and shared the ragu as a starter. We also ordered a side of mixed vegetables which was the strangest mix I had seen at an Italian restaurant -- corn, tomatoes, cut asparagus. I also ordered a red wine per the suggestion of the server which was delicious.

5 Star Rating We came here for our anniversary dinner, and it was a great choice. The restaurant has a classy yet cozy vibe, with white tablecloths and beautiful murals. For starters, we had the grilled octopus and the pumpkin and black truffle flan—both were super flavorful and paired perfectly with their sauces. For the main course, I had a fish dish cooked in olive oil, white wine, and lemon, served with sautéed spinach—light, perfectly prepared, and so flavorful. The staff carefully deboned and plated it tableside. My partner went for the slow-cooked Ragu Napoletano. I didn’t try it, but he really enjoyed it. Dessert was a cute surprise—our tiramisu had “Happy Anniversary” written in chocolate, a thoughtful detail that made the night feel even more special. Every dish was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. Even the complimentary bread and arancini were a treat. Service was great overall, but there was one odd thing with the wine. We ordered a bottle of white, and instead of opening it at the table and keeping it in an ice bucket nearby, they took it somewhere else. It wasn’t a big deal since they kept our glasses full, but it was just something we hadn’t experienced before. Maybe we should’ve asked to have it kept at the table, but it didn’t really bother us. Other than that, everything was fantastic. The staff was warm and friendly, and our server even took some great photos for us to remember the occasion. We’ll be coming back!

5 Star Rating A pleasant place with a cozy interior and delicious food. There are a couple of outdoor tables for those who enjoy dining "al fresco". Convenient location if you're planning dinner before the opera or ballet at Lincoln Center, or a stroll through Central Park after Sunday brunch. They have jazz brunches on weekends to set the mood too. I recommend ordering the VITELLO TONNATO as an appetizer. The combination of veal and fish sauce is superb! And the ZABAIONE for dessert will not only please the eye during its preparation but also pamper your taste buds, if you appreciate food presentations. Definitely a place to have saved on your "Places to eat at" list.

5 Star Rating Overall rating: 4.5 Definitely not being the target audience of this place, I’ll try my hardest to keep my review subjective. My friend that I went with has been here a few times, so when I arrived with them - the staff was friendly. They were accommodating & nice from what I remember. This is what we ordered: - Gambero Rosso: 6/5 shrimp carpaccio. So so good. - Sformato di zucca e tartufo nero: 4/5 oof too filling for an appetizer; wish we chose for something lighter - Tavolo Rustica 1/5 wayyy too basic for $42. DO NOT ORDER. - Capesante 4/5 eh nothing special (scallops) - Candele Zucca e salsiccia - 5/5 I thought this was good. But by the time, I ate it. My stomach was already declining. Towards the end of it, I definitely had way too much lactose because my body was feeling it. Thank goodness it was a solo bathroom. Overall, it was nice to see how the other side lives but can’t say the place blew me out of the water that I’m dying to come here again if I was a millionaire.

4 Star Rating I am a single woman and I had a reservation and yet when I arrived the hostess offered me a spot at the bar. I declined and I got a table in the back by the bar where people pass to use the toilet as well as employees passing repeatedly. I never saw the pretty paintings on the wall. I wonder when fine restaurants will begin to treat single women diners with the same respect they give to their other customers. I don’t care that my tab will be less and the restaurant shouldn’t either. It should be about providing every person with a lovely experience. Treat your single women customers like a queen, not a pauper. The server pushed me to have an appetizer after I said I would be having a salad as my first course. I don’t want sales as a part of my dining experience. The beet salad was fresh and the earthy beets paired with the frisée and little dollops of cheese and nuts was pleasant. The halibut in the tiny bit of thyme sauce was perfect and the three little carrots were nice but the grilled endive was a huge misstep. The grilled endive was tough and tasted of a grill. No one wants the charcoally grill as a flavor component in their mouths. The server tried to tell me it is a traditional Italian dish and while that it true, it is not true that it is cold and tough and tastes like the grill. It should be tender with a mellow flavor that doesn’t bite your tongue. Needless to say, It didn’t pair well with the rest of the dish. The dish wanted a bit of potato or cauliflower puree. Thank goodness for the few tomatoes on the halibut or it might have been a beautifully cooked piece of fish with no flavors to elevate it. The lemon meringue tart was very nice although there were too many meringues on it making it too sweet. The little dollops of cream on the plate served the lemon curd of the tart much better. My bill was $164.
