Early 6pm dinner and only 3 other tables occupied. Inattentive, but friendly staff, left quite an impression. It was the bartender that noticed us waiting and signaled the staff. Mezcal was great and Shepard beer was good too. Warm Nusakhan was tasty. Baked kibbie was simple. Chicken curry decent giant dish. Flavors were 3 out of 5. Will we return? No unfortunately. Maybe we'll try their sister location.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for at least 7 years and I kept coming across it online in various features. I ended up in the area by chance, so I figured it was finally time to give it a try. I ordered a bunch of dishes to really give it a try based on waiter recommendations. The menu didn’t have some stuff I wanted to try. Someone else mentioned that they Chan the menu.
Unfortunately the food was generally bland and overly acidic (others have also mentioned this). It was hard to enjoy as a result. Though the kibbie was the best I’ve ever had and the lamb chops were good but ultimately a very small amount of meat (1/3 of them was extra tiny and there was a decent amount of fat for that cut) for more than $40. I would’ve preferred a cheaper cut and more of it.
The waiter raved about the hummus and babba, but they were honestly mediocre and a bit sour. The Brussels sprouts could have been good if not for the excessive amount of acid. The eggplant and lamb lasagna was pretty bland. The eggplant seemed boiled though it looked a bit browned. The falafel were bland. The rice/noodle mixture was okay but I’ve had better. The potatoes were just okay though unseasoned. The tea seemed to be watered down.
The service was generally good, but there were some mishaps.
I was not told that I had to order dessert with the kitchen closing, so I did not get to try the kanafe that I was looking forward to trying.
I took the leftovers home to my husband and he agreed with my assessments (before I said anything). He had even more trouble with the high level of acid. I’ve been to Ayat/Albadawi (same owners/similar menu) several times and that was drastically better. There are people who like acidic food, so this could work for them. I might get the kibbie again, but that’s about it.

Most resturant reviews are about the food, service, and atmosphere, and rightfully so. But occassionally there is a restaurant that goes above and beyond. They realize the value of their relationship to the neighborhood and the community. Tanoreen is such a resturant. The food, service, and atmosphere are all exceptional. We do not live in NY but were visiting our kids that do. I was treating dinner for 7 of us. I did not realize that there is an automatic gratuity for that party size. I tipped $70 on top of the included $68 gratuity and did not realize it until the day after. When I called I was told the credit card billing was already submitted. They offered to refund the $70 in cash. However we were leaving and couldn't get back to the restaurant. They held the money in an envelope for my son to pick up a week later. Now that is customer service! Thank you!

This place was there on my list for a while and finally went there to celebrate my birthday. We drove down from Philly and called a few hours in advance and made the reservation. It was easy to find street parking. We were seated promptly and the food arrived quickly too. Food was good but not outstanding. Service was great and the owners were very warm. Definitely worth a try.

Just went for restaurant week and it was great! The food was delicious and plentiful. Loved the fried cauliflower. It was tender in the inside and crispy on the outside. The sauce was also very flavorful and creamy. I ordered the lamb shanks was tender and paired very well with the yogurt dip. Finished it off with the infamous kunefeh. Very cheesy, hearty and super filling. Ate a bit but had to take most of it home. Very large portions. Thumbs 👍

I was in the area and craving pasta, so I decided to check out this restaurant. I started with the fried calamari appetizer, and it was hot and crispy. I like how it's not very salty. Then I got the linguine with clam sauce and veal medallion. It tasted very good. I like the sauce on the linguine pasta. For dessert, ordered chocolate mousse and Spumoni with 3 scoops: vanilla, pistachio, and chocolate. This place is super popular so definitely make reservations if you're planning to go. The food took a while to arrive, but it was all worth it. I really enjoyed my meal here and would totally come back to try different food here.

I love to read reviews and see real pics of food and Gino’s did not disappoint!! The food was so flavorful and I was debating between the Filet of Sole but glad I got scallops with the spinach risotto! Tasted amazing and hot out the skillet! The calamari was delightful and I splurged to do a drink and desert! Only hate half of all but the taste that day and leftovers were delicious! Will be back for the Sole! My server was delightful as well. The whole place gave me that “Nonnas” from Netflix vibe.

We were seated immediately. Very nice tables and settings. Staff is very friendly and attentive to customers.
The VERY BEST part of Gino's, by far, is their amazing food. BEAUTIFULLY, deliciously prepared meals, made with very fresh, and flavorful ingredients. The most delectable pasta I've EVER had in my 72 years of life!!
This is the type of place that at the end of your meal, you're eagerly anticipating what you going to eat the NEXT time you go to Gino's.

Had some lunch at Nature's Grill and it is one of the better restaurants in Bay Ridge. I like going here, even though the items are a little pricier, because they truly taste better and fresher.
Not sure how much of that is the marketing or the way they present themselves, but the food definitely tastes healthier!
I ordered the El Mexicano wrap, which is more of a burrito. It tastes better than most of the burritos you can get from any Mexican restaurant. I always order this item, since it hits the spot of being filling without feeling fast food-y.
The wraps come with a side of bluecorn tortilla chips and a grapefruit slice, which also feel last fast food-y. The meal is pretty filling and with some hot sauce, the flavor is delicious.
They also have a nice kids menu offering of a chicken and cheese wrap, that comes with the same sides and a fruit smoothie. The smoothie is a big hit with my family and the chicken and cheese wrap is simple, but delicious.
I recommend coming here if you want something above the normal fast casual fare.

I was recommended to this location by a friend, food was great, but when I got home and look at my receipt I was charged a POS technology fee. I don’t understand why I was charged that when I paid cash. They charged me $1.36 POS technology fee. I can only imagine how many other customers they did this too. I’ve eaten at numerous restaurants and never had a POS technology fee . That’s not right.

I would have given a 5 for the yummy food but due to the poor service, Ill give a 2.
The food is delicious but natures grill gave coupons buy one wrap get the other one free. I told the waiter that I would be using the coupon but he couldn't get the digital coupon voucher to work. He proceed to take my order for 2 wraps.
Then when I requested the bill, I was charged for 2 wraps. He tried multiple times to use the coupon and because he didn't know what he was doing accused me of using the coupon for a previous order. Extremely disrespectful to say the least. He asked multiple times "did you use the coupon before? Are you sure? that never happened before!" I GUESS HES NEVER HEARD OF A GLITCH.
I felt extremely insulted, but there was an older gentlemen who over heard the conversation and I requested to take just one wrap. He called the owner and the owner accepted the coupon.
I had no reason to lie and to be accused of lying infuriated me, I guess I will save my money for a restaurant to actually values its customers.

Well all I got was coffee and the pike place is as always my favorite. It's well worth the price which comes along with a place to sit around air conditioning or warmth in the cold winter. Yeah one of my favorite places Starbucks. Most bang for your buck.

The renovation made less seating with outlets, and less seating in general is problematic. There is no more rear high seating by the old pick-up area, I think it's office space now. The front has no longer couch, I think it was turned into office space or storage. All in all it looks better but not great for people who want to use laptop.
The refill mugs are dirty, disgusting! They give you a "clean new" mug but, I suggest you really look at the mug before you sip, wish I knew before risking hepatitis A.

The food here is absolutely delicious! We've been three times, and every visit has been worth it. Each time, we tried different dishes, and they were consistently excellent. The place is clean and well-organized, which adds to the enjoyable atmosphere. The highlight, though, is the amazing service—especially from our server, Osman, who truly made our experience memorable.

I've been here a few times in the past 3 years and I went today with my mother for lunch, and I was not dissapointed. We both ordered the lentil soup and chicken adana special and it definitely hit the spot. The soup was delicious and the kebab was cooked well and it was juicy. I just wish that they would update the interior of the restaurant. It looks very outdated and even a little run down in my opinion. It doesn't help that they have competition in the neighborhood, such as Istanbul Bay on 80th Street and Ay Kebab on 86th Street. Both of them also have renovated interiors and serve food that is up to par with Hazar. But if I'm being honest, the employees at Ay Kebab acted like they didn't want to be there the last time I ate there. Speaking of employee attitudes there was a cashier/waiter at Hazar that was extremely friendly and courteous so they have that over Ay Kebab. I haven't been to Istanbul Bay in Bay Ridge in over three years but I remember the workers being friendly and their lamb and rice tasting great. Sorry for rambling so much but my point is you should definitely give Hazar a try, especially if you're craving turkish food on a budget.

Hands down the best Turkish restaurant in Brooklyn in my opinion. I've been coming here for years and have never been disappointed and I understand the restaurant is under new ownership currently and the food was exactly how it always was. The mixed grill is perfect for my low carb diet and I left very satisfied.

Not much atmosphere but really good food. This is my go-to spot. If you get any sandwich or platter, make sure you get the homemade Turkish bread. The fried calamari is always light and tender. The pides are delicious.

The Salty Dog Bar in Brooklyn is one of my favorite go-to spots after work. The food is always great — fresh, flavorful, and served hot. Whether you’re just grabbing a quick bite or sitting down for a full meal, their menu never disappoints. The atmosphere is excellent — relaxed yet lively, with a mix of locals and friendly staff that make you feel welcome every time.
I usually stop by with a colleague to grab a beer or two, enjoy some good food, and have a few laughs. It’s the perfect place to unwind after a long day. The drinks are well-priced, the service is solid, and the overall vibe keeps me coming back.
If you’re looking for a comfortable Brooklyn spot with great food, cold beer, and a friendly atmosphere, The Salty Dog Bar definitely deserves a visit. Just a small room for improvement in service speed during peak hours, but overall, it’s a solid experience!

Incredible burgers and service! Thank you so much to the salty dog crew for making my dads birthday special and helping us to surprise him and setting up the cake 🎂 my whole family really appreciated the amazing care and hospitality our waitress showed us 💗

The service here is excellent. From the moment you walk in, the staff acknowledges you and makes you feel welcome. They bring water right away and check in just enough to make sure you’re taken care of without being intrusive.

The workers were sooooooo helpful! Especially Denise and Anna. Debra the owner was accommodating, communicative, and such a blessing.
Would recommend this venue time and time again! Our guest were astonished at how gorgeous and spacious it was and the brick wall was a great accent wall!

Great Place! Staff & food was excellent. I had my daughter‘s baby shower on May 31, 2025. The website gives you all the information with party package plans. I called and Lana was just so personable and so helpful! I actually had lunch there with my daughter at the cappuccino Café room, and she loved the place. Peter was our waiter and he was also very nice. That is why we decided to have the Baby shower in that room. Sara and Vinny were there the day of the shower and everything ran smoothly thanks to them. Would have any future events there for sure. My go to place for lunch & dinner Thank you Greenhouse Cafe😃

This is a lovely restaurant to enjoy a meal. The bar area is quite extensive and comfortable to just sit and have a drink. The dining area is spacious, welcoming and clean. Our server was professional, friendly and quick with the service. Our meals were delicious and plentiful. I had the lamb with mash potatoes and green beans which was excellent my prepared. The desserts were also tasty. The restaurant also provides a pre fix menu which makes dinning even more affordable. Would return and would definitely recommend.

Visited this place yesterday for dinner and cannot complain much. It’s a very cute restaurant and the decorations are cozy and relaxing. The food was very basic, I will say that the customer service is also great. I made a mistake with the payment and the sever was very nice about it. Will be definitely going back to try some different menu items. My only feedback on improvement is maybe changing the seasonings of the food a bit to make it a little different.

Upon walking in and seeing about 30 feet of glass cases with SO many diff. pastries and cookies, I was so impressed. We ordered 4 diff. types as takeout. Couldn't wait to try them once I got home. Well... VERY disappointing. The TIRAMISU was ruined because use of excessive amount of coffee so strong and soaking the ladyfingers in bottom layer. I have never had coffee running everywhere and so overpowering of the delicious mascarpone cream. The slice of white whipped cream with Almonds is horrible. The whipped cream frosting was hard and dried out, the cake itself tastes weird, like pineapple is added with almonds. Just nit tasty at all. I love almond flavor, this is not even worth eating. The Strawberry shortcake piece had custard filling with little strawberry...this one was pretty good, as was the Napoleon type custard square. Still nothing great but decent. BOTTOMLINE-- looks beautiful in the case, but not worth very good when you eat it. The staff was extremely nice though.

Wow!!! This is a beautiful cafe. It is huge inside too! It has a regular bar and a coffee bar. The desserts are endless. My son just moved to Bay Ridge so we stopped by to grab some desserts. I loved my Napoleon, it was perfect. My husband loves Black Forest cake and he said this was the best he’s had. My son had a chocolate lava cake and chocolate covered strawberry. He enjoyed it too. He’s been back since we left. I’ve been telling everyone about this cafe. I’m going back to visit him next month. I will be stopping by a few more times. This place is magical at night. It’s so pretty. The service is awesome too.

Me and my boyfriend ate here awhile back and the service was wonderful we were acknowledged, checked on and given time to order. I remembered how good the breakfast was so I re ordered the same thing on doordash which is the spinach feta omelette with two hard boiled eggs and potatoes. For delivery I got a big portion again for 25.00!! That is rare to get in New York. Good price and good portion 😄 it was so good 👍 the omelette was juicy and tasty. I absolutely love this place and will be actively ordering from here in the future. I have food allergies and am living kind of rough so I appreciate that they put love into their food since I'm not able to cook for myself anymore. Thank u guys
