Pretty decent dim sum for the UWS. Spacious and very very kid friendly. There were plenty of families with their strollers and lots of high chairs. There’s an area in the back to park strollers or if you have a sleeping baby, you can park your stroller next to some of the tables. The wait staff are very accommodating. Our son didn’t like sitting in the high chair and the wait staff offered a bar stool for him which was the perfect height since the normal chairs were too short for him. They also went out of their way to entertain him by turning on a cartoon. Or saw that he didn’t have a utensil and offered him a plastic fork. Service was great and they kept coming by to check up on us.
Food came out really fast. Presentation was good and taste was flavorful. I would say this is a great place for Cantonese food if you don’t want to make the trek out to Chinatown or Flushing especially with kids. Plus, it’s close to the Children’s Museum and the Natural History Museum.
We came on a weekend and only had to wait 5 minutes as we came just before the rush.

Very glad to have an authentic Hong Kong style restaurant in UWS. Excellent flavors and wok hey. This shop has the original shop from NYC Chinatown which s very well known. Very enjoyable dim sum, chicken salted fish fried rice and seafood pan fried noodle 👍. Do expect UWS pricing😇

There’s something sacred about dim sum that’s made by hand. Each pleat, fold, and tuck carries generations of tradition. And at Jing Fong, nestled in the heart of Chinatown since the 1970s, that tradition is still alive and steaming.
They’ve been serving all the dim sum staples, but with one key difference: every dumpling is handmade—not machine-stamped or factory-frozen. A team of 15 seasoned dim sum and kitchen chefs, each with years of muscle memory, shape every har gao and siu mai with practiced precision.
On this visit, we ordered the classics: har gao, siu mai, chicken feet, fun gaw, rice rolls, bean curd pork rolls, and spareribs. The beef cheung fun was perfectly rolled (not scraped) silky, slick, and just chewy enough. Each bite delivered that nostalgic, springy bounce. We also had to try the pineapple BBQ pork bun, and it could definitely give Mei Lai Wah a run for its money: fluffy, warm, lightly crisp on top, and stuffed with sweet-savory char siu. The best part? No long line. My favorite was the salted egg yolk bun, served steaming hot, with a rich, golden custard that oozed out in decadent delight.
The beef chow fun was textbook wok hei. Smoky, not oily, and gone in minutes. And the salt and pepper squid? Lightly battered, crisp, with just a hint of hot pepper and five-spice. You could tell they used fresh oil by the light, clean color of the fry. We were also recommended the double crispy fried rice, a popular item with a clever spin on tradition. Crunchy, flavorful, and a surprising highlight of the meal.
There’s a quiet sadness though. As delicious as everything was, you can’t help but wonder how long this artistry will last. The next generation doesn’t seem eager to learn the craft, and places like Jing Fong are few and far between. I hope the current owner finds a way to preserve both the food and the spirit behind it—because this isn’t just lunch. It’s Hong Kong on a plate. It’s history. And it deserves to stick around.

Best dumplings EVER!!! Melted in my mouth and the service and atmosphere was top notch, looking forward to a return visit very shortly, few miles walk from Central Park.

Delicious and super cute spot for brunch with friends or family. Service is super quick once you get your table; however, it does get a little crowded near the host stand, even if you have a reservation. Their popovers are a must have and their omelettes are super fresh. Would definitely come back again.

Sarabeth’s on the Upper West Side is a true NYC staple—perfect for brunch or breakfast classics.
We sat outside and ordered the crispy chicken sandwich with gouda, which was huge and packed with flavor. Served on ciabatta with arugula and jam, it hit every taste bud—the perfect balance of sweet and savory. The fries on the side were crispy and delicious. We also had the spinach and cheese omelette—super fluffy eggs, light and right.
Always a reliable go-to for a satisfying brunch.

Sarabeth’s is the sparkling treasure of the Upper West Side! The staff are so loving and attentive, the space is gorgeous, and the food is always perfection! We recently went for a special get together and had the best time! This is my go-to brunch spot. Go to there!

This is a great place to have brunch on the weekends and enjoy it with family or friends.
The dishes are well served and very tasty, the recipe for the riccota lemon pancakes is a bit different than the first time I tried them, maybe less moist, but still good flavor. About the place, it is a classic NY place, however, they could take better care of the bathrooms.
The attention and service of the waiter who served us stands out; very friendly and willing to answer questions and make recommendations (essential when you have children with you).
In general, a pleasant experience.

We had late breakfast here. It was a nice atmosphere and the food was good. Some glasses were not really clean, but other than that the service was nice.

With the high reviews and praise on Reddit, I thought this place would be a little better.
Wings were OK, nachos were OK, everything was OK. Wouldn't come back, have a lot more places to try that I would rather go to first.
Service was the best part though!
Connor Pinkney - 2 months ago
Ordered the wings (free delivery bc I’m a few blocks away) from here twice and they were great each time. The first time I ordered sweet potatoe fries and they came out crispy and the second time (today) they were horrible. They were hot, wet, soggy and also burnt at the same time. In the photo you can see the amount of condensation and it only took the person who delivered the food 5-7 min from pickup to drop off.
Cynthia Hinojosa - 4 months ago
The wings here are good (if you get a fresh batch), but at $20 for a regular order they are really pushing the limits of pricing.

If my friends and I want to meet up for Buffalo wings in Manhattan, Blondie's is where we go. Some places have a few Buffalo flavors sprinkled among a dozen others; Blondie's really brings you the Buffalo: eight different heat levels. With cold pitchers and good people, what else does a hot wing fan need?
I'm told the other food is good too, but I make the pilgrimage for wings.

Wings 10/10 ! Fried to perfection and tossed in a spicy sauce. Fried onions were nice and crispy. Margarita was shaken properly. Seemed like a nice lowkey place with good service.

I can sip all the apple cider and hot chocolate at NYC Christmas markets, but it only feels like my winter day once I get my mollaga bajji and filter coffee. My kinda Thanksgiving Day ritual. 🥲

Sometimes there is a bit of a wait on the weekends but this and the other location on Lexington is my favorite brunch in the city. Service is always quick and kind.
Stick with the South Indian classics and you can’t go wrong!
Dosas, chutneys, and sambar are consistently well executed and have great flavor. The potato filling is also excellent.
Some favorites: chili onion Rava dosa, Masala dosa, potato bonda, onion bajji, and mini idli 🧡 great for vegans - everything is clearly labeled !

Strolled in here before a show at the Beacon. Seated at a high top in the bar area and was lucky enough to have Jordan as our server. When she brought two blue cheese cups with our wings - one each for my friend and me - was blown away. Then had the tasty burger. Everything was really great - exactly as it should be.

Food is extremely average.
Service was good.
Atmosphere was great.
Wouldn’t be a go to place for me, but if I’m over that way for a comedy show it’s a good stop in between early and late shows

This place is always packed but table service or bar service is always excellent. They treat you right. The wings are big and bountiful. The burgers are great and really good drinks. I wasn’t impressed with the quesadillas though. Not enough filling.

Very busy, fairly unremarkable bar/restaurant that’s been around for many years. Decent drinks, beer and food. Bartenders not so communicative. Food was okay but not terrific. Three bathrooms, which was nice; no waiting. Asked to pay cash, but by the time I got back from the bathroom a different bartender had already swooped up and charged by credit card. Extra 3%. No big deal, but still…

The service was excellent. Very friendly. Great beer selection. Probably one of the worst pizzas I’ve ever had, and I lived in Los Angeles. Clearly some kind of pasta sauce with an inch layer of cheese. It was either cheese or crust. Couldn’t have both. Would come back to drink but definitely not to eat.

We’re not vegan but stopped in for a healthy lunch and were so glad we did! The chickpea fries, tofu dumplings, sweet potato pie, and quinoa salad were all delicious. Everything was super flavorful and satisfying without feeling too heavy. Great coffee and smoothies too! Perfect spot for vegans and non-vegans. Highly recommend!

Absolutely loved this place. We came to NYC just to try some vegan restaurants and this one was the highlight. The biscuits are fantastic!! We took some home for breakfast the next day and they still tasted good the next day. The pan seared "steak" was very good, and the side of green beans was good as well, especially since I'm not a huge green bean fan. We had a strawberry shortcake scone and it was so tasty. Server was very kind. Loved the sign that advocates for fur free living.

Terrific food. My favorite is quiche with vegan cashew cheese. Comes with a green salad with pieces of apple, pear, orange which beautifully refreshes the yummy quiche. Huge variety of cakes. My favorite is lime cake. Music in the background is easy jazzy music and not interfering if you come for a chat meeting.

We ordered :
Macho Nacho - 9/10
Puerto Rican Lasagna- 8/10
Spicy Wantons - 6/10
Tiramisu - 7/10
All in all, I’ll give the cafe 8/10.

I visited Jake's Dilemma for my Nephews Graduation/Going away event. The bar was lively when I arrived, The back section was reserved for our group. The catered finger foods that were served were good and the drinks (Open Bar) were even better..😜🥃
I would highly recommend this place for an after work or weekend meeting spot.

Stopped in for the 1/2 off bar on Monday nights, which we confirmed with the bartender. Bill came back $10 a pop for a Cosmo and a Black Russian, which would mean full price was 20 DOLLARS. tried to confirm with the bartender (who had switched at that point), but he insisted it was the half-price and wouldn't even look at the bill. Drinks are just so-so, not worth the shady pricing practices with so many other options in the neighborhood!
