4 Star Rating We looked for a good dim sum restaurant before going to the Natural History Museum and found one on Google. However, the food was not exceptional, and nothing really stood out. We have had better dim sum in other places. The service was decent, and so was the atmosphere.

5 Star Rating My partner and I had a very nice experience dining here on Easter, food was great, staff was friendly and the menu had several great options. We ended up ordering a few things off of the dim sum menu and were super full by the end of our meal. Of course I had to get the turnip cakes and they were perfectly soft and delicious. Other dishes I’d recommend are the crab and pork soup dumplings, beef skewers, fried shrimp wontons and beef rice noodle roll (not pictured). I’d absolutely come back to try more of the cocktails, they have a ton of fun, tasty drinks for good prices. 10/10 would definitely recommend

4 Star Rating Pretty decent food for the price. Of course you can get better dim sum in Chinatown but this place is good enough to satisfy your cravings. The shrimp dumplings were probably my favorite. The peking duck dumplings were kind of mid (the purpleish dumplings) and the chicken lo mein was kind of bland (nothing a bit of chili paste/chili oil couldn’t fix). Overall, better than average experience.

5 Star Rating Excellent food overall. Was very available for tables on a Tuesday evening. The salt fried pork chop was excellent. The roast pork bun was solid but I wouldn’t get it again. Shumai was excellent as was the soup dumpling. My friend also got the general tsos chicken which was a very good version. Overall a solid dining experience at reasonable prices for nyc.

5 Star Rating I'm glad to heaI recently visited Sarabeth's Bakery on Amsterdam Avenue, and I must say it was a truly delightful experience. We enjoyed top-tier Bloody Marys with unique garnishes like bacon and shredded pickled carrots. I opted for the Eggs Benedict, which were absolutely delicious, and my companions tried the mouthwatering Lemon and Ricotta Pancakes and Avocado Toast. The staff was fantastic, making our visit even more enjoyable. If you're in NYC and looking for a great brunch spot, Sarabeth's Bakery is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

5 Star Rating One of the best breakfast places over tried so far. The food is amazing and there’s no way to describe how good it is. Everything we got tasted perfect and very well made. The only bad thing is: everything is very expensive in Manhattan, I get it. The food was totally worth the price so it was not a problem. But when it comes to the orange juice that’s where I see there’s something wrong. $12 a glass of orange juice that is not even fresh and squeezed at the moment. I’m very picky when it comes to that and I definitely know when an orange juice is fresh squeezed, but paying $12 for a glass where you can see they pouring it in a cup from a gallon is very disappointing. Many places (most of them) serve artificial orange juice. I get it. But they have a different price for that. All my experience in going out for brunch or breakfast where I ordered orange juice, I never paid that much for an artificial one. So this is the only crazy thing I saw and I experienced. I would definitely go back but not ordering the orange juice again. Overall, everything was perfect and tasty.

2 Star Rating I would give the omelette (3.5/5) and pancakes (3/5). The omlette was cooked nicely and had a tasty side of jam and butter, but the omelette itself lacked seasoning. and The avocado's texture was liquidy and lacked seasoning (1.5/5). The french toast was a bit oily and you could feel the taste of the eggs - wasn't very nice (1/5). Food was mostly bland, unfortunately. There may be better orders, but based on my experience, I wouldn't go back.

3 Star Rating Was excited to try this place but had a very mixed experience. My omelette was large and very good. The veggies inside were fresh and flavorful and tender. Unfortunately that was the only highlight. They mixed up who ordered the pork sausage and chicken sausage, but after tasting them both, we realized it didn’t matter because they were both dry and overcooked. The worst offense of all was the stale, dry, COLD popovers. What an insult to the very idea of a popover. Overall a pretty mediocre brunch.

5 Star Rating Definitely a divey scene, but came in to watch a basketball game and there was a good crowd. Plus, if you are in search of the perfect Buffalo wings, I highly recommend this place. 3 Star Rating I had the driest wing ever. They fried them for too long. I barely taste the skin. It tasted dry almost burnt. It’s sad that you eat it and that they tell you it’s because I picked them as mild. Too dry wings 😩😩

5 Star Rating Blondies Sports bar, having been around since 1979, is the most popular establishment on the Upper West Side to watch live sporting events. On Sundays during football season, this place gets jam-packed during lunchtime. Also, aside from watching live sporting events, Blondies is known for their chicken wings, which are awesome!

4 Star Rating Friday night bar trivia at Blondies was a good time! This place is a classic sports bar with friendly service. The food is what you’d expect at a sports bar but gets the job done. The waffle fries were seasoned and crispy 💯 the Blondie with ice cream was similar to a pizookie. Not bad! Fun times at Blondies!

2 Star Rating Live near this place, went in for a show tonight (Saturday) that was being taped. I’ve been to a handful of shows, some are great, some are less so. That’s life. That’s comedy. This show definitely had some awesome comedians and great acts but the guy running it was brutal. It was being taped and the host wanted us to laugh and clap on command. He was doing little hand signs, just very forced. So uncomfortable. We got our check at intermission so we could bail and the server berated us for leaving because she would need to fill the table. But we were in the far back and there were plenty of open tables. This seems like a great club, the drinks were good, the decor was decent, and I bet with other hosts on other nights it’s great, but it wasn’t tonight. If I come back and it’s different, I’ll update this but for now, two stars is the best I can do.

5 Star Rating I got a special comp-ticket for a Friday 8pm show at S.U.NY. It was worth it for a nice evening of comedy. The drinks weren't as pricey as some other venues. The comedian line-up was small but good overall because they had to make room for the headliner Mr. Rick Vos. The space is relatively small compared to other comedy venues still it had a good enough space for the crowd. And the basement lavatories decent & clean (though it may need better labeling for them) I've been going to Stand Up NY for about 2 years & have always had a good experience. Thanks.

2 Star Rating Visiting Stand Up NY on a Friday night offered a unique glimpse into the club's valiant efforts at reinvention and its struggle to capture the essence of what makes a comedy venue thrive. Firstly, it's commendable to see a venue striving for growth and pushing boundaries to rejuvenate its appeal. The ambition to revamp its identity and enhance the overall experience is palpable, marking a promising step towards redefining its place in the city's nightlife. However, it's apparent there are underlying reasons why Stand Up faces challenges in drawing larger crowds, particularly on what should be one of the busiest nights of the week. While the club's spirit of innovation is noteworthy, there seems to be a disconnect between its offerings and the expectations of its potential audience. The quality of the acts, although varied, occasionally lacks the consistency needed to keep the audience engaged throughout the evening. Comedy, after all, is an art that demands a delicate balance between innovation and relatability, something the club is still in the process of mastering. Moreover, the ambiance and service, crucial elements of the overall experience, appear to need fine-tuning. A welcoming, comfortable environment and attentive service greatly enhance the enjoyment of live comedy, making them areas where Standup could potentially improve to match the expectations of its guests. In conclusion, Standup deserves recognition for its bold attempts at transformation and for its commitment to providing a platform for comedians to showcase their talent. However, for the club to truly flourish and fill its seats, especially on Friday nights, a more focused approach might be necessary. This could include refining the selection of acts to ensure a consistently high-quality lineup, improving the overall ambiance of the club, and enhancing service standards. There is a wealth of potential waiting to be unlocked at NY Standup, and with further adjustments, it could indeed become a staple in the local entertainment .

5 Star Rating WOW! I really liked this place. Came here a few times and each one did not disappoint. It's comfort food that I don't feel 100% awful about eating. Each dosa is incredibly delicious, as well as the curries and sauces that come on their menu. I had their signature puri w/ the chana masala curry and it was divine. In the past, I've also tried their cheese dosa, masala dosa and the thali. Each one was better than the last! You really can't go wrong with anything on their menu. And to top it off, they are also very reasonably priced. I'm so glad there are amazing plant based options this delicious! This place has definitely become a regular for me.

5 Star Rating The place has one of the best Indian food I tried in NYC. I would recommend this place to anyone craving for Indian food, specifically South Indian cuisine. I came here at their opening time and they didn’t disappoint. Tea and Filter coffee were really good. Tea was really flavorful. In main course, had masala dosa and Chole bhature. Dosa was crispy and delicious. Bhatura was fluffy and amazing. Service was really good and the place got really busy after we arrived. Ample seating outside and inside the restaurant. Restrooms were clean and in usable condition. Ambiance was okay. Disclaimer: if you don’t like oily food, you can skip on bhature

4 Star Rating The food is as good as Indian Saravana Bhavan. A little pricey but not bad for Manhattan. The north Indian food is alright but then why would you miss out on dosa, idli, or vada. I would prefer the sambar a little spicy but then it's not bad. They also give filter coffee (cothas), but I found it relatively pricey as compared to lattes from coffee shops. Still nice people, decent atmosphere, and good food.

2 Star Rating We went here for dinner and ordered Rasa Mili Idlis which was extremely tangy and just impossible to eat. Later we ordered a Chili Rava Dosa which was again very very spicy - seemed like they dumped all the chillies they had in their kitchen in one dosa. They were famous for south indian food but couldn’t even handle their expertise well.

4 Star Rating Stopped by before a show at The Beacon. Good beer selection. Decided to share the loaded nachos with pulled pork, it was a large portion, and very tasty. Not so with the Buffalo cauliflower wings. The taste was OK, but the breading was soggy, mushy. They should be fried til nice and crispy, then tossed in sauce right before serving. They tasted more like a bad frozen meal from a store and microwaved. The server was great and was able to take it off our bill.

5 Star Rating Jake’s Dilemma on the Upper West Side of Manhattan is a fantastic bar for cheap drinks, dancing, and watching sports. And you should also head there with proper expectations. It’s not somewhere you’re gonna order intricate cocktails, have a business meeting, or read a book. It’s a young bar with loud music, cheap drinks, and sports on the TVs at all times. Jake’s Dilemma has some negative reviews on Google & Yelp, but I think most of those people just had unrealistic expectations. Also, a good chunk of those reviews are from 4-6 years ago, and I think things have improved since then. We’ve always had a solid experience with the staff and left feeling tipsy for cheap, a rarity in NYC. Check out our full review (not sponsored) on our website!
