Our server, Mel, was excellent! All the food and drink recommendations she made were spot on. The truffle burger paired with bacon cheddar fries was delicious. We also enjoyed all the drinks she suggested, but our favorite was the "In the Garden." It was indeed refreshing. The Rum Swizzle Punch was good as well. We will definitely be back. Thanks, Mel!

We have eaten here before. Always great food. My daughter and I need Celiac safe food and it comes out safe (never been sick) and beautifully prepared each time! Andres was our waiter and he was very attentive and took great care of us, double checked the menu for allergy safety, gave us drink suggestions - all around great evening, we will surely be back again!

Love this place everything is hot fresh and the service is fast and friendly. I love the burgers. They are very tender and flavorful. I like that they have other options like sushi as well and the prices are affordable great family environment, and fun to hang out even at the bar for a quick bite. Highly recommended.

An old New York classic breakfast spot with a variety of breakfast cured fishes, prepared either as a breakfast sandwich, platter, or with eggs. I’d recommend a breakfast sandwich, which is the most economical, and the white fish salad as the fish.
There’s often a line to get in, but it moves at a decent speed.

An old New York gem—Barney Greengrass is the real deal. Charming dining room, incredibly welcoming and engaging staff, and the best smoked fish in the city. Bagels, pastries, and fresh-squeezed OJ are all top-notch. A true institution and a joy every time.

Divinity!!!
10/10 for the white fish salad! Tasty, plentiful, light on the mayo, heavy on the fish!! Oh and no bones!! Immaculate
The BLC (bagel lox cream) divine as well! So generous with portions, at this point you can’t go anywhere without a BLC costing around 20 buckaroonies at least here they give you your moneys worth with a hearty portion of lox!
Latkas:
Look I know their latkas is a top seller for them. I’m bias towers skinny crunchy lats so these are not for me.
Side note:
Do not be intimidated by the line. There was a huge line and it moved so quickly. Highly recommend!!

Stopped by with a friend for a Sunday lunch recently - there was a bit of a queue but we were pretty lucky to get seated within ~10 min (the queue got much longer once we were eating).
They were serving potato latkes that day (which, after reading some reviews, isn't available all the time?), so we ordered a plate - they were amazing! Potatoes tasted light and fluffy, outside perfectly crispy without being too hard or oily, and portion size was pretty big (and you know starches can fill you up quickly haha). They came with applesauce and sour cream which paired excellently.
My friend and I each ordered a bagel sandwich - I had the gravlox sandwich. The smoked fish was... fine? Maybe I should have tried the sturgeon (I think their speciality), but I have to say I'm not really sure why there's such a craze around their smoked fishes. It was all very yummy but I fear not uniquely so, and for $21 a bagel I honestly am just a bit perplexed by this.
Bit of a mixed bag here - I'd be keen to come back but honestly it would primarily be for the latkes haha. Also note that they are cash only, so come prepared!

Without a doubt, the best bagel I've tried in the city.
Great quality smoked fish on a freshly baked bagel. The ambiance is an old style deli. It's cramped inside, especially over the weekend, but the staff is great, very fast and somehow it all runs smoothly.
Cash only!!! I didn't read the sign and didn't have any cash. The owner at the cash register was kind enough to keep my order on the side so that I could go withdraw some cash.

The food was phenomenal! Especially the appetizer! We got babaghanoush with 2 cigars and 2 pitas, and it was mind blowing. The seasoning of the babaghanoush was just perfect. The beef cigars and pitas were also extremely delicious. The outside of the cigars were almost like pastry, a little flaky and mildly crispy. The pita bread was simply excellent. It was freshly baked and steaming hot. The burger was also very delicious, but a bit salty to my taste. The classic rib-eye steak was also well cooked. The meat was very tender and juicy. The grilled vegetables were okay. Good thing the fries were great, too! The service was also very nice. Very laid back and relaxing. Overall, it was a great experience. Can’t wait to come back again!!

Delicious food, and my steak was cooked perfectly! However, our friends order was wrong, and by the time we all finished our food, she then got her correct order and had to eat alone. It was disappointing. Other than that it was a nice dining experience

Hello!
I recently visited a Kasbah Grill restaurant and had a rather disappointing experience. We waited for our ordered main dish for an entire hour, and unfortunately, we had to take it to go as we didn't have time to eat there.
The food was average at best, with the highlight being a rather sweet cabbage salad . Additionally, the restaurant itself felt quite cramped, making it uncomfortable to enjoy the meal.
Overall, I would not recommend this place unless you're in the mood for a long wait and don’t mind a tight space.

I have an amazing experience at Carmine's in New York. My cousin introduced me to this restaurant. Atmosphere, excellent Waiter, friendly staff. The food was out of this world. You only need to order one entree you could feed at least three people I have leftovers for two days. I would gladly come back to this restaurant anytime I'm in New York Highly recommend it

Maybe my favorite Italian restaurant in the City. The atmosphere reminds me of a New York City apartment in the 30s or 40s of an Italian immigrant family, the aesthetic goes perfectly with the family style food service. The family style service goes down perfectly when you come as a group. This time, I came with 2 other people. We order their Caesar Salad, Garlic Bread (half with parmigiana cheese), and Chicken Parmigiana with Penne. I have to give it up to Carmine’s they have one of the best Caesar Salad I have ever tasted. The garlic bread is always fresh and this was the first time I tried it with cheese, which was a nice touch. Next up was the Chicken Parm with Penne which was so tasty and flavorful. Lastly we grabbed homemade cannolis for dessert, with coffee. Which was a great way to cap off an amazing meal and like always when I come here we all left with doggy bags because we were not able to finish all the food they served us.

We went here with a group of 9 for a late dinner and it was very nice. We order clams for an appetizer, Spaghetti & meatballs, Chicken Marsala, & Shrimp scampi. All the food was good except the shrimp scampi could use a bit more sauce and flavor. The meatballs have been added to my top list. Our server was personable. This is a family style restaurant so all the portions are meant to be shared. I will definitely come back to this restaurant at this specific location and others. I will also recommend it to others.

We love Carmine’s and used to eat here all the time when we lived in the City. This time, we ordered food to go and from start to finish it was error free and delicious.
We ordered online, arrived early and decided to have drinks at the bar. At the time of pick up, the order was ready - hot and so well packaged! Such a successful meal!

The escargot and onion soup were quite good—definitely the highlights. The rest of the brunch menu was just okay. I ordered the ‘Friggin Delicious’ cocktail, intrigued by the name and the unique ingredients, but it ended up tasting like a standard Moscow Mule, hence a little disappointment for $18+tax.

No frills French cafe meets vintage vibe. Came here for the inaugural Forgotten Foods festival that I saw online as I love to travel for food. Off that menu we had the pastry with sweetbreads in the middle and the pheasant. Off the regular menu we had the pheasant. I’m pleased to say the pheasant was marvelous. Great presentation with a glass dome removed upon service. Very moist. The sweetbreads dish was beautiful but unfortunately on this and the escargot somebody in the kitchen was very afraid to use salt, and I typically prefer escargot with more garlic. It could just have been different and personal preference. Great service. Very popular spot.

Great lunch for restaurant week. Varied menu and delicious choices. Escargots en croute were good, a little oily. The brunch burger was very good and large. The service was 10/10, especially server Darwin. Very friendly and knowledgeable about menu. Overall a good experience and cozy, pretty restaurant. I would certainly return with family and friends.

Not a bad place to drop in for dinner without a reservation on a weekend evening. They serve some classic French fares at a decent price point. The atmosphere mimics one of a Parisian bistro. I had the coq au vin and enjoyed it.

Love eating here. Whether it’s getting their lunch special (with miso soup), to getting their sushi (which is currently at 30%off). They even have complementary tea. Whenever I work in the area, Ollies is at the top of my list of places to have lunch at. Wonderful portions, very tasty, and great service. Highly recommend!

Food was Okay but when I ordered the lunch “special” for 17 bucks, I expected more than 4 very small pieces of meat 4 mediocre pieces of broccoli. It seems We’re being charged for their very high rent but still leaving there very hungry. The lunch special isn’t very special, it’s less than an appetizers worth of food and doesn’t come with anything that a typical special would come with. No egg roll, no pork fried rice, no drink….but you are asked to leave a review for a free egg roll.

I had high hopes after seeing the reviews and the gluten-free options.
The owner and staff were surprisingly hostile to our party as first timers, commenting directly to us (and others) throughout the meal about how absurd it was that we did not have cash on hand for payment. Very bizarre, and something I’ve never experienced before.
The gluten-free pizza tasted worse than a Domino’s pizza, and was twice the cost ($25). I can’t recommend much about this venue.

Went out to dinner with my roommate and had such a lovely time!
We shared the margherita pizza and ravioli, paired with a glass of wine and an Aperol Spritz – everything was delicious.
The tiramisu for dessert was the perfect sweet ending.
They served complimentary bread with olive oil to start, which we always appreciate.
Service was friendly, and we sat outside – cozy atmosphere, though the tables are a bit close together.
Overall, a great spot for a relaxed evening out!

I went here for a lunch with coworkers and it was absolutely delicious. The service was cordial, and attentive. I drink a lot of water and they noticed and filled me up twice, bless them. The atmosphere was casual but not too casual. Two of us were vegetarian and we managed to find good options on the menu easily. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, but because of the cold weather we chose to sit indoors. The brick oven is phenomenal. Everything tasted amazing and was served in perfect proportions, perfectly seasoned, at the perfect temperature. I felt like the prices were reasonable. I would wholeheartedly recommend for a casual date night or a work lunch, or for a lunch with friends.

Love Turkish food naturally and Bodrum is my favorite in nyc, delicious, clean, calming atmosphere with a great wine selection. Last time I liked the taste of olive oil that was served with freshly baked Turkish bread and asked the name of it. He was so kind to bring the container of it to allow me to get the name of it. On a special occasion or casual, my perfect place for any kind of gatherings. Thanks Bodrum🌻

Nice little diner at a walking distance from our place and we could get a seat within 5 mins on a Saturday afternoon for 3 of us. Service is typical diner style, quick and effective and our order included a Bloody Mary and a Mimosa, both pretty decent.
I got the Veggie Deluxe Burger ($15) and the first few bites felt really decent, but then the burger patties felt really dry. Food overall felt pretty substandard, including the pancakes we ordered for our little one.
Service was quick though and noise levels were on the average end. Comfortable booth seating, and fairly huge portions. Might visit again!

The classic burger always hits the spot. Nicely cooked. Always really good fries - slightly crispy outside, tender inside. Had a chocolate shake this time. A bit more milk and less ice cream than I was expecting, but still quite tasty. We often have the pancakes, which are good.

Mimosas are also great and larger than most places for the same price. All the staff starting with hostess, waiters, and waitresses and the best all the hars working busboys. This place is always crowded before 1 pm. on Sunday, but the wait is never too lo g. Highly recommended. A true gem in the upper west side.

This fantastic restaurant was recommended to us by a local in a nearby coffee shop. We were the only ones in the restaurant but we had a great time. The papadam that was served before the meal came with three chutneys, the onion was my favorite. For entrees we got the chicken tikka masala and the lamb korai which is a specialty of theirs. Both dishes were extremely flavorful and left us wanting more. The garlic naan that we ordered was the best we have ever had, baked perfectly and seasoned well. Overall we had one of our best meals in New York here and would recommend it to anyone looking for great Indian in the area.
