4 Star Rating The food was pretty good. We ordered from the happy hour menu. The shrimp tacos were not the best. It was a tempura shrimp with a soft tortilla shell but that tortilla was hard and kinda stale. The taco is meant to be spicy but I got the spicy sauce on the side due to my battle with acid reflux. The taco left much to desired for $10 for 2 so I would try something different next time. The staff here has always been courteous and accommodating. The wings are my favorite. I wish you could order 2 portion sizes because I wanted more after these were done because they are so tasty. We also got an onion tower not pictured here but it was delicious nonetheless just make sure you eat it while it’s hot.

4 Star Rating At lunchtime on Tuesday, outdoor tables were available, no waiting. During the course of our leisurely lunch, tables turned over quickly. Sometimes all the tables were full, sometimes several tables were available. Enjoyed a table in the rare spring sunshine, on the sidewalk on Broadway, watching the people walk by. The onion rings tower was delicious and crispy, with both blue cheese and Caesar dressing for dipping. Shared an 8 ounce guacamole burger, which was plenty for two people. They substituted a different type of cheese at our request. We are on a low carb diet so they wrapped our burger in lettuce as a substitute for a bun. Since we already had cut the burger in half, I just used a knife and fork to eat my portion. Cooked at a perfect medium rare, an option that isn't available for the smaller burgers (medium and well done only). The burgers are tall and thick, with multiple toppings, which makes them a challenge to eat neatly. Fortunately, large, cloth napkins are provided. (One per person, not five, as the name indicates!) There were minor mistakes with side dishes and water glasses weren't refilled until the end of our meal. Staff was pleasant and resolved the issue. We would go back again.

5 Star Rating I always have a great meal at 5 Napkin. Whether it's dine-in or delivery, the food is fresh and delicious. Service at the restaurant is friendly and attentive. Delivery is super quick and the food is still fresh. The breakfast burger, grilled chicken sandwich, onion rings, double tuna roll, and the Mac and cheese our some of my favorites.

5 Star Rating Last minute location find. Ended up going right before the kitchen closed. Loved that they had a great vegan selection. From apps, to entree to dessert. We got options! Had the impossible burger. Was very delicious and tall. And for dessert had the vegan sundae. It was very delicious. 10/10 would come again.

3 Star Rating The best word to describe the food at 5 Napkin is meh. It's not bad, though the coffee was extremely bitter, but it is just bland. I think this has to do with the general makeup of customers. The place seems to cater primarily to families with small children. I assume the inoffensive flavors are meant to satisfy the largest number of fussy children. Unfortunately, not being a child, I prefer food with flavor. I had the spinach and artichoke dip with stale chips and the five napkin salad which was drowning in Italian dressing. My girlfriend had the blueberry pancakes, which were tiny, and were served with toaster oven hash browns and rubbery turkey sausage patties. The service was excellent. Unless you are taking a picky child out for a meal, go elsewhere.

5 Star Rating Absolutely phenomenal. The food is all top notch. The staff is really efficient and really knowledgeable and helpful. Some restaurants it seems like the staff has never eaten there. Here, our server knew all about the different fish on the menu and made some helpful recommendations. I was also impressed with the logistics. They do a great job of making the most out of the space, and seating and serving people quickly.

4 Star Rating One of those institutional places in nyc you have to try and won’t be disappointed! The food was so delicious and the staff were amazing. The restaurant is cozy with lots of table but it fills up super quickly depending on the time and day you go. On a weekend, you can definitely expect to wait during brunch hours. We went around 1:30pm and it was easier to get a table then. Make sure to have enough cash because it is cash only!

5 Star Rating We visited Carmine’s Upper West Side for my daughter’s birthday. It’s definitely perfect for a special occasion or group experience. It’s family style so the servings are abundant. You can definitely feed at least three adults with certain dishes. The service was excellent and we arrived at a good time… around 4:30ish before the dinner rush started showing up. I highly recommend reservations. The first person we were assigned was a super kind Ghanaian guy (didn’t catch his name). I was a little sad when he said he was leaving and turned us over to Scott. Scott ended up being superbly attentive, professional and helpful. Our food arrived relatively quickly and we were checked on often enough. He didn’t rush us and helped sing happy birthday, The atmosphere is definitely old school Manhattan, Italian style…. Very vintage yet well maintained. The music was a little loud at times but the vibe was pleasant. Everyone we interacted with was kind and courteous. Bring a big appetite.

Their portion sizes are no joke and a great value in my opinion. Boisterous, loud place but in a good way! The only weird thing is they asked us to pay the bill right after we ordered our food due to a shift change, which I’ve never experienced before. Otherwise service was solid.

5 Star Rating We had a reservation for 4 people at 1pm which we made 4 days in advance. We sat outside with a dog. They had heat lamps. We really enjoyed the food and the service. The Shakshouka and the baked eggs were similar with the baked eggs not being spicy. The avocado toast was fresh, with the eggs it made it filling. The steak and eggs were good, however we asked for it medium and it was closer to rare. Still tasted good. It took a bit to get the check but overall a great spot for brunch especially if you bring a dog. Bathrooms were nice and clean

4 Star Rating My husband and I visited for brunch with a reservation. The place was packed, which we took as a good sign. We were seated immediately but it was quite some time before a server visited our table. She was quite apologetic and it was understandable with the number of active tables. Unfortunately, no conversation could be had over the din and revelry. The mimosas were pedestrian at best; however, the entrees were outstanding. I had waffles and my husband had the croque madame. We both greatly enjoyed our meals. Each single entree would have been enough for two people. I doubt we will return, but only due to the noise level, not the quality of the food.

5 Star Rating Usually the people native to the cuisines are most picky about their cuisine. I challenged Bodrum Brunch to the test by brining my Turkish friend here to testify their authenticity. In short, Bodrum excelled most of the parts. For starters, they don’t have the Turkish tea but they do have the Turkish wine, which is off-menu but you have to know the name to ask. That was the secret-only-to-Turkish thing I guess. My friend and I shared the complimentary bread with EVOO, Shakshuka, Sigara Borek, and Mucver. We also had Turkish coffee at the end of the meal. The complimentary bread is still hot and puffy when it came to the table! Super stretchy inside with lots and lots of bubbles. The evoo was excellent in flavor, simply dipping is enough for indulgence. (My friend and I both think maybe Turkey and Greece have the best olive oil farms as they are close and Greek Mythology states that Athena bestowed the Olive Tree to Athens in Greece.) Sigara Borek: The crispy filo pastry filled with parsley and French feta. It is not heavy as you would imagine when you think it is fried filo. It is incredibly crunchy on the exterior with a super creamy aromatic center. Very homey to my Turkish friend. I doubted about the parsley as I tasted dill more than parsley, but the aroma was very satisfying so I don’t complain about the mismatch. Mücver: The zucchini patties with feta, dill, and scallions, with a side of yogurt sauce. If you like scallion pancakes from Asian cuisines, you will definitely love this one. Simple and delicious. The patties almost have a mochi texture to it, alongside with the savory content. The yogurt sauce is light and added a bit of tangy to the patty’s aroma. Great dish for not-so-heavy-but-still-craves-savory brunch eaters. Shakshuka: The only dish I think I had better. It is a classic dish with baked eggs in tomato sauce, cumin, garlic and cubes of halloumi cheese. The eggs are a bit overdone as the yolks wasn’t as runny as I wished. The tomato sauce with the spices have a kick, but flavors are less complex to the ones I had before (if you have been to Boston area please try Tarte’s Shakshuka). Still a good dish, but not great. Turkish coffee: The coffee part is essential to wrap up the meal, as well as fortune telling with the coffee grinds. The coffee is very thick, and very strong. It is bitter but not acidic (which I dig!!!), and when I get to the bottom of the cup it was almost paste like. We did the whole ritual of rotating the cup 3 circles, flip it on the cup holder, wait until it is cooled, and see the cup interior sides for motifs. Interesting activity to do with your friends. (On my cup I saw trees and a thoughtful person 🤣) I recommend this place initially because my bestie’s boyfriend is also Turkish, and Bodrum is their staple for dinners. Heard greats things about kebabs, lamb shank, and tagines (though the latter isn’t technically Turkish lol).

3 Star Rating Food here isn’t above and beyond but isn’t bad for the price. We had a few plates for sharing including the sampler, I mostly liked their labne + cheese filled filo dough along with their fresh baked bread, the issue was that they did not bring enough for the table. Also had the eggplant baylidi which was flavorful. Their kofte wrap had no flavor what so ever it does not even taste like kofte. The fries taste like fast food restaurant fries, and the ketchup that came with the fries had way too much sugar in it. Lentil soup was decent.

5 Star Rating So much better than I ever hoped! Everything was perfectly wonderful. The spice combinations, the quality of the meats and veggies and the portion sizes were terrific, and everyone at our table was truly impressed with the food we ate. My lamb was perfectly medium rare as ordered, tender and lean -- not muttony or fatty. My kid's chicken was equally lovely. The appetizer, a mixed platter to share, was a true variety of flavors, which can be a challenge with what is essentially a bunch of dips. Highly recommended even for families.

Reviews

5 Star Rating I walk past this starbucks every single day! I go in a lot and have gotten nothing but the best service. The staff is super friendly and helpful! The service is mostly quick, on busy hours it takes about 5-8 minutes to get the coffee, but they apologize for the wait and make sure the drink was perfectly made.

5 Star Rating Probably the best Starbucks I’ve been to. Extremely spacious, with about 19 seats. Staff working efficiently, while being kind & courteous. There’s a bathroom available & of course WiFi. I don’t drink coffee, but I did have some tea, wasn’t anything special. This’ll be my new spot to work & chill in.

2 Star Rating Music is way too loud. Difficult to get any work done or have a conversation. Ample seating is available but not an idea work environment. Would prefer quieter coffee house style music, not club rave.

5 Star Rating I haven’t had starbucks in a long time, and I was scared the drink wouldn’t be as good as I remember, but the barista Melvin made it per-fect! It was fast service, a great drink all served with a smile. Truly one of the best Starbucks experiences I have ever had !

3 Star Rating The typical high Starbucks quality coffee, with somewhat higher prices than elsewhere. This store has a lot of seating on three different levels. Restrooms need improvement on cleanliness.
