Here on a Thursday at lunchtime. It was crowded by the line moved fast plus most customers took their food to go so there were enough seats to sit.
Darnell Thompson - 8 months ago
Way too short staffed for the amount of volume during lunchtime, when you have multiple schools having lunch at the same time, shouldn't have to wait 30min on line for a burrito, also no staff cleaning, when you have 30 min for lunch and sit to eat surrounded by all the kids garbage it's a bit unprofessional by Chiptole

I work around the corner from this store so I’ve been a customer for over a decade. I love all the organic products and fresh produce but the hot bar is really hit or miss lately. The portobello mushrooms are consistently dangerously salty. The sweet potato soup I bought for lunch today has no flavor whatsoever and taste like a dishrag. Tofu salad and French lentil salad are both very good. I’d appreciate more variety in the prepared food section.

My mom and I used to take a bus to this store when I was a baby vegan because back then it was harder to find vegan products. 20 years later I moved into this neighborhood and I'm so happy to see Perelandra is still right on Remsen. It's a Brooklyn treasure.
LOVE the vegan prepared foods in the fridge section. If it's late and I don't feel like cooking, I grab a meal from their fridge. They all taste like healthy, home-cooked meals and it's such a nice change from all the vegan fast food restaurants now. I've also never been tempeh's biggest fan, but however they make theirs, it's fantastic. So I like to grab of tub of their prepared tempeh to use in my cooking and salads at home.

Great natural grocery store. Love the variety of reasonably priced, high quality organic produce. The vegan prepared food / sandwiches / hot bar are also well flavored and reasonably priced

Whenever I am in downtown Brooklyn, I make a B line to Perelandra. They have the best prepared vegan food. Love this place.

Revised Review: After 14+ years of supporting Perelandra as a local Brooklyn Heights resident, I’ve finally had enough of their atrociously rude customer service, constant price hikes, and lack of fresh fruits and vegetables. The cashiers actively detest their customers and have no basic skills in how to bag properly. I thank them for their services during the pandemic, but it’s time to say goodbye!

Burger took forever to be prepared although there was literally 7 customers in the whole place. Food came in whatever order. It tasted okay, but not as tasty as it should. It's completely over staff. Workers couldn't care less about customers, they kind of ignore them, they're just chatting and making noise instead of working. Sadly this place does not live up to the standards of Shake Shack!

The burgers here were really well prepared and tasted great - definitely a leg up on your typical fast food. The place itself was pretty clean and had good dine in seating options.

They are lovely with service, fast, and friendly. Good is yum as usual for a fast food meal, and location is great for people watching and downtown views while eating 🤩

Super slow service; cashiers with attitude fighting with customers over complaints.
The batter on the chicken fell off when I grabbed a piece. Seemed like their frying oil hadn't been changed for a while, so fries looked sad and had a bitter aftertaste.

Shake Shack delivers a consistent fast-food experience known for its burgers, shakes, and fries. While the food is generally good, it doesn't stand out as extraordinary compared to similar eateries. The pricing feels a bit steep for what's essentially a premium fast-food option. Overall, Shake Shack is a reliable choice for a quick meal, but it might not live up to the hype if you're looking for something unique or exceptional in the crowded fast-food landscape.

Best slice in New York let alone Brooklyn, went to all the big name places and this one clears them all. Sauce they use is amazing and they’re all very friendly, gave us an extra slice and some cookies as well. Can’t wait to come back next time we visit from Australia. Margarita and Sicilian are must gets.

I ordered their gluten free pizza from Uber Eats and was blown away! As a gluten sensitive person, pizza is one of the foods I miss the most. Their pie was thin and crispy - not crumbly at all like other GF options. It arrived quickly and tasted great. I will absolutely order again!

I came here on a Friday night and was surprised by how quiet it was. I sat down and ordered their ravioli. Overall I enjoyed it. The cheese filling was a bit plain but the pasta was covered in a thick layer of gooey cheese. The garlic knots were good. The prices are good as well. I'd say this place is definitely undervalued.

Nice smaller Starbucks. Very clean inside. Staff is friendly and coffee was fresh. The line moved Quickly as well. Not too busy in the afternoon as well so good place to stop in, warm up, and do a little reading or work. Stop on in!

Needs a restroom for customers, staff are kind about it fortunately. I don’t know why there’s no restroom. This Starbucks is very small. One small room really. But always like 60 people at once. And needs to provide slightly better service.

Went there after a longggg walk across the Brooklyn Bridge and post visiting the Transit Museum. Perfect place for catching a late-ish lunch and a beer to go with..
Had the fish and chips with shoestring fries while my husband went for the O'keefes Burger..we loved everything and more importantly the old rock music playing vibe. Special thanks to Jane who served us.

Fun place to be at as it has a nice atmosphere. Great for gathering with friends and/or coworkers after work on a Friday night or any night of the week. They even have a comedy show every Wednesday, which I haven't attended yet. I actually go after work for dinner on any given day as their menu is very selective, and every plate I've tasted, I've enjoyed. Two thumbs up 👍👍

I've been here a several times, when I have an appointment in the area. The food is good, the cocktails are okay, but the service can use some improvements. The ladies tend to focus more on the male customers. I have to always go out my way, to let them know I'm waiting for a menu or something. They always appear to be so overwhelmed. But it's a nice little spot.

Not sure why this place has less than 5 star.. portions- BEEFY! Even if you don’t get beef.
I got a chicken curry dish recommended by the cashier and was pleasantly surprised by the serving size. The food came out within minutes of ordering, and the staff was kind and attentive. The ambience seems traditional, I went during the daytime, so there wasn’t too many people inside.

I had things to do in the area. I parked right next to the place when I finished,
my daughter asked me to eat here. We love Indian food but certain area not all of it.
They have to go plate, the food unbelievable she ordered chicken tikka masala so delicious I pick up for myself the vegetarian plate spinach with cheese, yellow lentil, and cauliflower on rice. Everything was perfect. Portion huge I couldn’t finished with mine…we get in the lunch special price was more then affordable.See you guys soon!

Did dinner around 7:30 PM as a party of two and there was only one other occupied table. We had their two-course special, which included one appetizer and the main (came with bread too).
🥘 Got vege samosas, lamb tikka masala served with basmati rice, and something with chicken and spinach? Bread of choice was the garlic naan. Everything was hot, flavorful, and delicious.
🛎️ Service was just ok. There were many takeouts while we were there, so that speaks to quality.

Amazing gem in the heights! Fresh food and incredibly huge portions for the price. One menu can feed two to spare. Do not miss this restaurant if you live here.

Embarking on a culinary journey led me to discover an Indian dining establishment that left a lasting impression. The butter chicken and garlic naan were nothing short of spectacular, offering a symphony of flavors with each bite. With portion sizes that are as generous as the prices are reasonable, it's no wonder this restaurant has become a favorite among locals.

This is a really nice, clean, and delicious little spot. My husband and I walked in randomly on a Saturday night and we absolutely loved it. The gentleman and woman working were incredibly friendly and provided excellent service. They did not mind that I requested some customizations to my dish, and when we asked for our food to be extra spicy, they brought over a generous dish of chili spice oil which was really considerate instead of assuming what spice level we could handle. The food was great as leftovers the next day as well. Definitely a nice neighborhood restaurant to eat at! Planning to return :)

I frequented this place a lot during my undergrad days many years ago. Now I come once in a while and I'm happy that the quality of the food has stayed the same. Easily one of my favorite Chinese restaurants ever. Service is fast, food is fresh and tasty and never too greasy compared to many other Chinese restaurants. HIGHLY recommend!!!

Lichee Nut never disappoints! I have been coming here since 2009 as anniversary place with my family to celebrate our gotcha day. Staff are kind and warm. They are always ready to assist you whenever you need something. Place is clean, a lot of space for a party of 6-8. Bathrooms are clean! They take CC/Apple Pay and cash as payments. They’re good is delicious, always comes out warm and their portions are good. Prices are above $10. Anything cheaper is water. There is a-lot of variety to pick from as well.

I am in this location M-F as it is the nearest Starbucks to my office. The staff is pleasant, fast and always accurate. Though I usually place a mobile order, my items are ready, well prepared and even include the straw and cup of ice I request once I'm in store. When I worked at Starbucks some years ago, the expectation was to have customers in and out of the store in 3 minutes or less. The partners at this location definitely do. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Crystal Fairweather - 6 months ago
For over six months I have been going to this location because it is opened early and the closest to my job. My first encounter months back was terrible but due to proximity I stuck it out. One barista is so rude she always has an attitude and hands you your drink like she hates her job. When putting orders for customers they literally touch the part you drink from and frequently almost spill the coffee when handing it over. I think people only say they are the best so they would make an effort with their drink. The fact that I rather walk a few more minutes for another Starbucks than go here again says a lot. This is one instant that first impression was right.
Crystal - 7 months ago
My favorite Starbucks location. It’s giving Cheers… when you walk in the whole staff speaks to you. My pick up orders are always ready before time. The drinks are always good and aesthetically pleasing. It’s always clean even when busy. The whole location is such a vibe. I go there like 4 times a week.

Came here because I saw they had some vegan foods, I tried the ackee, vegan beef, callaloo, and vegan fish patty, all were very tasty, although would have liked a bit more filling. Also tried the regular soy, which surprisingly was my favorite, so tasty. The split pea I had to throw out, the filling had this weird fishy/vinegar/off taste. The bread patty part of the vegan fish was less tasty, but seemed whole wheat, probably a healthier version. Was told all the patty crusts were vegan, and most of the fillings available were too.
Place had a good amount of plant based meats, but not a ton of plant based dairy in the fridge.

I’m into it. This place has a solid selection of vegan hot foods and the staff is chill/friendly. I’ve tried most of the vegan patties and some are better than others but all serviceable. Additionally they’ve got some solid selections of vegan grocery items, particularly May Wah proteins if you’re not able to hop over the bridge to the Chinatown store. I’m glad to see they’re still in business and hope they will continue to thrive for awhile as this neighborhood definitely doesn’t have a lot of gems like this.
