Best yet underrated fast food in NYC. Close to both City Hall and the 9/11 Memorial, small place but excellent food. Burger was superb, drinks o' plenty, and to top it all off, the fries are the best of all fast food places. Imagine the churros at a beach fair, but smaller and salty, with a pinch of parsley and coriander. Just divine. Would go there instantly.

I love Checkers. I think it's one of the most underrated fast food burgers ever. This particular location was extremely fast and friendly. And the burger as good as ever. Very consistent. The atmosphere of this location is a little

Good for take out, can eat in, menu has variety, bathroom could be better, but in the city, everything is not always perfect, over not bad.

Got the 4 for $5 deal that included a cheeseburger, French fries, apple pie and a fountain drink. The cheeseburger and French fries were very good. Can’t complain about a warm apple pie. Fountain drink is small but you get unlimited refills with it. Staff was friendly and cleanliness of this place was decent as in any other fast food place.

I selected this restaurant by chance while downtown on jury duty and was pleasantly surprised. It has a warm atmosphere, the food and price selection on the menu is not only appealing but reasonably priced. The wait staff especially Vincent was attentive, efficient and extremely pleasant. I ordered the Margherita pizza which was outstanding. I will definitely return and highly recommend this restaurant.

This is a solid little restaurant for good fire grilled pizza in Manhattan!! The smaller pizza is 6 slices and the larger one is 8 slices. Crust is thin and crunchy. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and a Hawaiian. Both were delicious! Air conditioned inside. Bathrooms available. No changing station for little ones - just FYI. Great find!

12/16/2023: We had a relaxing dinner in the restaurant. The food was delicious. My daughter and stepmother loved the spaghetti and meatballs. Loved the Gamberi Franchese. The Merlot was delicious. It was a great dinner to send a day spent walking nine miles and visiting the 9/11 Memorial.

Good food… service was poor. Need a consultant to come in and advise on work flow. Employees seemed upset. Customers didn’t know where to order or pay or pick up. Signage would be good. Love the Oreo shake!

I work around the area and sometimes the lines for the restaurants around get super long and busy but this potbelly is perfect, less crowds, they have seating arraignment and the food is to die for.
Do not sleep on this potbelly- the food is real good and the milkshakes will have you gaining 20lb if you don’t control yourself (it’s that good)
Ps. Get the original milkshake it’s the best!!!
I forgot the two staff who were working today, but they work so well together!! I have never seen coworkers gel so well with each other that it shows in the way they treat their customers and the way they are happy and laughing.
FYI if the person who did my order is reading this girl your aura is everything, keep that beautiful spirit.

Above and beyond service! We weren’t too familiar with this type of cuisine, but the worker guided us through and was incredibly friendly and helpful. Great taste and not too expensive as well.

I am a regular at Saffron and dining here is nothing short of exceptional. All of their dishes are rich in flavor The staff is always kind and friendly. Its hard to find a Indian restaurant in NYC that is consistent and genuinely cares about your dining experience.

I love this place! I work in the neighborhood and it's my go-to lunch spot. Good price, good portion and great quality food. The atmosphere and customer service are also excellent. Skip the big chain places and support this great small business!

A very typical Indian restaurant in Tribeca. The problem with Indian food is that the chicken is always dry. Same here. But the service was great. A narrow restaurant layout. Buffet style but not self service. The lunch special with nan and a coke ended up being $18.

Ordered Chicken Taco Today Along With 2 Samosas!
I usually get full meals here.
I'm not too happy with the $8 ticket for a single chicken taco.
It tasted ok, a bit on the sweet side with a savory twist & not very fulfilling overall taste wise & definitely not satisfying enough for the price.
Samosas are typically smaller than normal, but flavors + spice make it acceptable enough. Samosas are $ 5 per.

What a marvelous delight. I felt as if I had slipped into a secret moment of time. Stopped by for a glass of wine at the bar after walking the Brooklyn Bridge. The Beekman Hotel is marvelous and it’s an absolutely beautiful setting including the restaurant and bar. Great for a special occasion or just to meet friends or stop by the bar alone.

A very unique place, first you visit their lounge filled with great vibe, good music and decorated place. Then getting into the fine dining restaurant amazing decor, lighting and table set.
The food was very delicious, flavorful, the fish was absolutely amazing.
Service was polite, and personal.

Wonderful food, gorgeous location worth lingering in with good company. Lovely jazz brunch on Sunday (occasion visited)
Service staff seemed to be a bit over stretched for the number of guests in the main and adjacent rooms. My strong sense is that outside of Sunday brunch, a typically busy and chaotic meal period, is that the service would be much better.
All in the historic Beakman Hotel which is worth a gander.

In the Beekman Hotel next to the hotel bar, which includes a fantastic mezzanine. The staff were attentive to every detail (ensuring the table was stable, replacing a blunt knife, topping up my wine glass). The chef's name is on the menu, and deservedly so. The staff are well turned out and not too stand-offish. One gave me a double thumbs up when asking if the meal was ok. This is a restaurant to celebrate a special event, a treat. I felt looked after during my meal here.
As with most US restaurants, there was no obvious place to hang your coat. Most guests draped them on the back of their chair or laid them on the bench beside them.

Great price to portion ratio, food was great, service was the highlight! We went for my boyfriend’s birthday and they brought complimentary bubbles and a handwritten card from the staff! So sweet! It was a beautiful, intimate atmosphere but not stuffy at all. Drinks were 10/10 too. Would def come back❤️

Not sure what’s going on here with Pret and napkins but seems there is a focused effort to literally count and hand you 2 napkins. I’ve never seen a restaurant so stingy with napkins. Bizarre.

Great location on Broadway between civic center (Tribeca) and SoHo. Fresh food with half sandwiches available and interesting soft drinks and very good coffee. Prices are very reasonable. Mostly takeout with seating for about a dozen or so people in the rear -- clean bathrooms!

My favorite chain for a quick, healthy and satisfying meal. I love falafel, it's one of my top comfort food, so any place that offers nice falafels gets thumbs up from me. For less than $12, you get 5~6 large falafels, one choice of hummus (I picked mushroom hummus this time) plus two substantial sides (beat-root salad and babaganoush this round), and your choice of toppings and sauce. Oh and a warm pita bread too. I could barely finish everything. The place is clean and orderly, the waiting staff friendly and efficient - they have to be, coz there was a long line of lunch rush customers.

So here is the deal the food is good if you order it first thing when they open but after that the Gyro and other primary ingredients lose too much flavor and become tasteless and dry. If they can figure that out...all would be good.
Jason Lewis - a month ago
Clean atmosphere and friendly staff. Had a nice lunch with my mom. Falafel was a little hard but the taste was good. The Lebanese Cauliflower was yummy. Quick and easy vegetarian options for lunch. Love that the tables have stamps where they were handcrafted and from what. The table we sat at was a bowling lane in a previous life.
