If you’re in the SoHo area and looking for a cool spot to grab drinks and bites, Gilligan’s is it! The vibe is super chill—gives major Tulum energy—and it’s quickly become one of my favorite hangouts.
Me and my girls are obsessed with their Aperol spritz —it’s a must-order. You can totally come here just for drinks too. Just know that when the weather is nice, the crowd shows up, so expect a wait and slightly slower service. But once you’re in, it’s totally worth it.

My friend and I stumbled upon this place on a Sunday evening while walking from SoHo to Chinatown, and it felt like discovering a hidden gem. The lush greenery and vibrant atmosphere gave us serious Miami vibes, a refreshing contrast to the sweltering heat of NYC right now. We were impressed by the quality and generous portions of the food and drinks. Speaking of drinks, they were excellent too! Frozen watermelon margarita is a MUST!
All food that we had is soo yumm! Beautiful and well decorated.
- East Coast Oyster
- Steamed Mussels
- Maine Lobster Roll
- Smashed Avocado
However, the service was a bit slow. While our server was friendly, it took us more than 15 minutes to order our second round of drinks, which was a tad frustrating. Understandably, they seemed understaffed given how busy it was.
Overall, despite the minor wait, we loved the ambiance and the delicious offerings here. Definitely worth a visit. Will be back!!

Really beautiful place, has a tropical feel to it. The service was good but did decline towards the end when it started getting a bit more busier. The food was delicious, minus the shrimp pasta it was a bit on the bland side. But everything else was so great. The menu is very minimal, which was perfect for us because we got to basically try almost everything in the menu. The drinks really were the highlight! The drinks were refreshing and just right for a nice summer day. Would definitely be back again.

My new favorite place in Soho! From the moment you step inside, you're transported to a serene beach retreat. The ambiance, decor, and overall vibes are amazing. Food was okay, the drinks were a definite highlight. We went on a Tuesday evening and it wasn't overly crowded, which made it even better. I had a lot of fun and I can't wait to visit again.

Cute spot, Chris provided amazing service!! It was much appreciated. Watermelon drink was good and our food (lobster Cobb, burrata toast, oysters) was delicious. Towards closing there were a few extra critters 🐀 running around so it was def time to go but otherwise, a great night out.

Food, service and atmosphere are great. I love decorations so much, pretty cool design and idea. When it comes to noodles, I found the minced pork one better than the lobster one, expected the lobster to have more of a buttery flavor. Dumplings are better steamed than fried, fried it just tastes like an empanada. The salad is also really good, recommend to order. I didn’t try the croquettes as I don’t like croquettes, but the table said they were really good. Skirt steak is very tender and lots of flavor, not your regular skirt steak. The drinks are good as well. I recommend the place.

The restaurant offers a really unique menu (both food and cocktails). Upon being seated, I was greeted right away and put my order in pretty quickly. Everything was fantastic! The charred octopus and African chicken were great and looking forward to coming back to try more of the menu.

Interesting ambience (photos attached) and great service. The music is 80s and 90s throwback and fun. The food is great, must try the whole fried fish, which they were expertly fillet for you at the table, and the ribs. It’s in Tribeca and so a little cramped and kinda pricey. But still, I would definitely go there again.

This beautiful find among the Lispenard area of TriBeCa has the most masterfully concocted Martini. They are dense and fantastic and perfectly paired with oysters on the half shell is a perfect Masterpiece. They are dense kind host staff and service is open and fun and makes you feel like a local. Thank you for your great hospitality and incredibly moody ambience.

Booked a table at Bubby’s whilst we were in New York as a friend recommended it.The food was absolutely delicious.
I had the pancakes with berry compote and the pancakes were incredibly fluffy. Despite the bigger portion size, it wasn’t too much and not too sweet which was great! My friends enjoyed the breakfast and banana pancakes.
It took a while to be seated despite having booked in advance. However, this was made up by incredibly fast service. Our food came before our drinks! I don’t think I’ve ever been served so quickly.
The restaurant was very busy so maybe not one for people looking for a quieter breakfast spot.
It is expensive in comparison to a similar meal in the UK but I would say it’s worth a visit. I wish I could get pancakes like this in Scotland ☺️

Bubby’s has a popular waiting line that is definitely worth the experience, but you can easily sidestep it by making a reservation through Yelp or by visiting between 1 to 2 pm when it’s less crowded. I must say, the pancake hype is absolutely justified—each fluffy stack is a delightful experience for your taste buds! Aside from the pancakes, everything else on the menu is equally scrumptious. The home fries are especially remarkable, boasting a perfect crispy exterior and fluffy interior that you won’t be able to resist. Their yogurt is fresh and creamy, paired beautifully with seasonal fruits, while the hibiscus iced tea is a refreshing burst of flavor that complements any dish.
The waitstaff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure that you feel welcomed throughout your meal. The restaurant’s atmosphere is vibrant and bustling, filled with cheerful chatter and good energy. However, I did notice that the hostess seemed a bit overwhelmed and a touch brusque, possibly due to the long line of eager diners waiting outside. Nevertheless, my overall experience was delightful. I truly appreciate Bubby’s commitment to sourcing their ingredients from local small businesses, which adds an extra layer of quality and freshness to their dishes.

Known for their pancake flight—which have won the James Beard award—this brunch spot is a popular pick for a good reason. Located in Tribeca, the restaurant is spacious and there's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. They don't do reservations and there's often a wait to get seated. I came on Sunday morning and waited in the "outdoor" line and it was able 20-25 minutes to get seated (and we were fortunate enough that there was room at the bar, so we were seated inside instead!).
The service here was so nice and SUPER quick (after we ordered, it was about 5 minutes until our food came out). We got their famous pancake flight (for something sweet) and their eggs benedict with smoked salmon (for something savory). Both dishes were amazing. The pancake flight was a HUGE portion and came with three pancakes: a banana one, a nutella and berry one, and a berry compote one. The pancakes themselves weren't overly sweet and the cream paired SO well with the pancakes. And the eggs benedict was a good portion with lots of smoked salmon and the potatoes that came with it was divine. Absolutely delicious and worth the wait!

Bubby’s is a fantastic spot for comfort food in New York. The dishes are absolutely delicious, with generous portions that make every meal satisfying. From their famous pancakes to the savory brunch options, everything is prepared with great care and quality ingredients. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal.
The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. Service is efficient, even when the restaurant is busy. The only downside is the price—meals can be quite expensive, especially considering the casual dining setting. However, the quality and portion sizes make it worth the cost.
If you’re looking for a great brunch spot in NYC, Bubby’s is definitely worth a visit!

Delicious brunch offerings! We got the pancake sampler platter and a platter off eggs & bacon to share. The home fries are sooo yummy and the berry and blueberry pancakes were my fave! It’s pretty pricey though so keep that in mind. The service was truly wonderful and they brought out our food within 2 minutes of us ordering! And it was very busy that day so 10/10 on service!

Fabulous! This spot will transport you straight to Italy. The atmosphere is charming & rustic and the service was attentive & wonderful. Had a light lemon pasta that made me feel like I was dining in Sorrento. My mom had the trout special and it was wonderful. We left with full bellies and high spirits.

I happened to be in the neighborhood so decided to give this a place a try. Two stories with a nice rustic vibe. My starter - pork belly on a gnocchi custard was excellent while my pasta - a pappardelle with wild boar was decent. I would save space for their ricotta cheesecake though - a great finish. I did find prices a bit on the high side compared to similar restaurants - the most obvious being their cocktail menu. Basic cocktails of the type here should not run above $20. Needless to say, I skipped the cocktail.

The Cod was a stand out and the best meal I’ve had in a while. The Linguine pasta with some shrimp was just ok. The pear tart was fantastic. A lovely restaurant full of locals and the service was great.

Thanks to our server for fitting us in on a very busy Friday night. It was really loud in the main room luckily we were led to the second much quieter room.
Service was excellent. Our food arrived quickly & we were provided with crayons & a paper table cloth to have some fun whilst we waited. I had the Mac and cheese which was comfort food.

After seeing the Ghostbusters HQ across the street, my friend and I were hungry. We had walked over 20K steps in the city, so food and drink were next on the list. I saw Walkers across the street and we made our way over there. We sat at the bar and the very lively bartender, Steve, was such a great person to assist us. My friend ordered the Shrimp Scampi; she was ate every last bite. The guy next to us ordered the side of fries; they were cooked to perfection! I went with an order of chili cheese fries; side of fries with chili + cheese. I was surprised by the neat of the chili! The 2 Gents who were next to us at the bar gave us a new list of things to see in the city, since they are both natives of the area. Overall, we will be stopping by this place when we are in the area.

I had the greatest lunch at this bar yesterday. They clearly have a steady crowd of regulars and locals that seem to have been coming for years but that didn’t stop me from getting a roomy seat at the bar and treated as though I too, was a regular fixture there. French Onion Soup to start and I had to try the burger which was hands down, one of the best I’ve had. Dense blend of meat nice and charred to perfection. They had a house made hot sauce with a charming story about the guy who makes it for them. I love bars with a lot of character like that. I even stayed for dessert and had a blueberry pie with fresh cream and ice cream. The service was great and this bar seems to have a books worth of history to it. I will always count on having lunch here when I’m downtown. The bartender was a charmer and seemed to know most of the folks who were coming through. Cheers to finding this great New York downtown institution that welcomed me proper!!!

Never left a review anywhere before but this is really a great bar. No setting up tabs and the sort, just pay and tip at the bar as and when, which as a couple travelling from Newcastle UK, was a great find for us! Great outdoor seating area which we also loved but the star of the show by far was Paul who made us feel incredibly welcomed and at ease in a new city we’d never experienced before (hence why I bought a hat from their merch as a memoir!)

I almost wanted to write a worse review because I enjoyed the owners response to others. Nice schtick
We only had beer so this review is about this. The beer selection is solid, the tap lines could use a little attention. Beer is not supposed to taste metalic and I don't think I have a tumor... But if I do, I'll edit the review.

We enter this place about 40 minutes before closing. Bathrooms has been already closed (we couldn't even change our kid's diaper) and coffees, which we ordered to drink them on a spot, were served in takeaway mugs only because the stuff could leave working place at 7PM and not even a minute later. It never happened to us in Poland!

I have realized that Starbucks is just a scam. Maybe they have amazing drinks and amazing service but why should we come if we are just wasting money? I saw a video on the internet about how if you order a venti pink drink and a venti cup with only ice, you are getting two grande drinks. Even today, I ordered a venti pink drink with light ice and they still gave her so much ice. We need to fix this issue IMMEDIATELY.

Rica comida Mexicana. Authentic Mexican restaurant with delicious, rich flavors. I ordered the fish tacos and beef—they were big and delicious. My friend had the spring tacos and fish tacos—she loved them. We had a spicy mezcalita. The service is very friendly, like a good old Mexican service. We sat outside and had such a good time. Inside is such a vibe.

Lupe’s is the best Mexican restaurant in SoHo. It was across the street from our hotel, so the location was perfect. Their bar is impressive with the selection of tequilas. It’s the night before my surgery, so alcohol was out of the question. We ordered their tostada salad, Chicken Mole and Chili Colorado. The salad was the perfect starter that we shared. The Chili Colorado is the perfect meal on a cold night. Served over rice, the sauce had just the right amount of spice with tender pieces of beef. Their Mole sauce is outstanding and the chicken was fall-off-the-bone tender. We are definitely planning on returning after my procedure for another delicious meal.

Basic Mexican spot
Simple and basic. Shrimp fajitas is delicious but small portion. Rice is randomly dry and hard. Chicken in Mole sauce is good but could use a bit more seasoning. Menu could use some excitement. Not much to take home to talk about.

I saw this restaurant while I was downtown one day. It had a vintage decor with neon lighting very cool. Some of the best mexican food I have had. Very tastey & not heavy the food always come quick. I always show up wanting to eat two plates and end up only being able to eat one. The portions are good and the price is great for the location.
