An Absolute Gem! A Must-Visit for Any Occasion!
Stepping into this place is like walking into a Pinterest board that came to life. The atmosphere is effortlessly cool and incredibly charming, with just the right amount of cozy and chic. The decor is a perfect blend of minimalist design and playful accents—think lush green plants around you and natural lighting that makes everything feel warm and inviting. Food was divine too, every dish I had - oyster, burrata salad, pizza and fish tacos - was absolutely delicious.
What I love most is how versatile this spot is. It's perfect for a low-key cocktail date, an intimate dinner with a loved one, or a celebratory brunch with your entire crew. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic about the menu, which just adds to the wonderful experience. Whether you're looking for a new go-to spot or a place to celebrate, I highly recommend Gilligans!

This place is so cute! It’s giving Hamptons. We got the oysters lobster roll and the corn and all were delicious! I absolutely loved the vibe and all of the greenery. It’s perfect for grabbing drinks during the day or having a dinner date and girls night in the evening. You need a reservation as it gets busy on the weekends.

Love the atmosphere. It’s like being on vacation but you’re in the City. Prices are a little high. Service is a little slow. Great place to have a cocktail when everything else is packed.

My friend and I stumbled upon this place on a Sunday evening while walking from SoHo to Chinatown, and it felt like discovering a hidden gem. The lush greenery and vibrant atmosphere gave us serious Miami vibes, a refreshing contrast to the sweltering heat of NYC right now. We were impressed by the quality and generous portions of the food and drinks. Speaking of drinks, they were excellent too! Frozen watermelon margarita is a MUST!
All food that we had is soo yumm! Beautiful and well decorated.
- East Coast Oyster
- Steamed Mussels
- Maine Lobster Roll
- Smashed Avocado
However, the service was a bit slow. While our server was friendly, it took us more than 15 minutes to order our second round of drinks, which was a tad frustrating. Understandably, they seemed understaffed given how busy it was.
Overall, despite the minor wait, we loved the ambiance and the delicious offerings here. Definitely worth a visit. Will be back!!

Really beautiful place, has a tropical feel to it. The service was good but did decline towards the end when it started getting a bit more busier. The food was delicious, minus the shrimp pasta it was a bit on the bland side. But everything else was so great. The menu is very minimal, which was perfect for us because we got to basically try almost everything in the menu. The drinks really were the highlight! The drinks were refreshing and just right for a nice summer day. Would definitely be back again.

Been here several times and I really enjoy coming here! Made a reservation last minute for a group of 6 and they were able to accommodate. If it’s just you and one other person going, I recommend sitting at the bar. It’s comfortable sitting and quick services and a good time overall. My experience has been good for the most part each time I have gone except for 1 time. I ordered a whiskey sour at the bar while waiting to get seated and it was perfect but then once I got seated, I ordered another whiskey sour from our waitress (assuming her name was Jess but not 100% sure, that was the name on our receipt) and it wasn’t good. They made it different than the first one I had; the second one had no egg white foam, it had a lemon, and it’s tasted like a lemon drop and nothing like a whiskey sour. I kindly asked our waiter, Jess if it was possibly a lemon drop instead of a whiskey sour and explained why I thought that but she was adamant that it was a whiskey sour. I explained that my 1st drink didn’t have a lemon curl in there and it tastes sour and her response was “so what if there’s a lemon curl”…and she rudely snatched my drink and as she walked back to the bar, she sipped on it I’m guessing to prove whatever point she was trying to prove. She came back and replacement my drink which I appreciate but I just found that experience to be so “off”. I’m normally not picky at all and I try to be mindful based on how busy it is and I’m super kind when approaching waiters/waitresses about something I don’t like which is why I felt so annoyed about her response. If a customer doesn’t like something, why go back and forth with them…just simply replace it. It’s not like I’m asking for a whole meal replacement. However other than that one experience, everything else was great and the service overall was good. The manager (assuming he was the one wearing a suit) was super kind and checked in a few times. Still highly recommend checking this place out if you haven’t done so. They also have a downstairs bar/lounge area where you can check out after dinner. The music was sooo good, vibes were fun, was a bit crowded to my liking but that’s expected.

The place is gorgeous, maybe one of the most beautiful restaurants I've been on. It's really breathtaking when you walk in. The food was great and the portions are very generous. I don't know if it was because it was a busy night but the I feel the service was a bit messy. I was eating alone and end up feeling a bit neglected. But everyone was very polite and sweet. Keep up with the great job guys! :)

The decore is phenomenal with a lot of quality furniture. The menu and service, top of the line. I have been here several times now and Diego and Dino have provided nothing short but amazing service every time. The cocktail balance and selection is great, with a large variety from sweet to savory, there's something for everyone.
The food was cooked perfectly as always, highly recommended the mussels and dumplings!
Must visit bar of lower Manhattan

This place is all about quality. Every ingredient tasted fresh and made to order, and the chefs truly know what they are doing. Service was excellent, the ambiance is gorgeous and cozy, and the mocktails were on point.
Must-orders: oysters, shrimp dumplings, lobster noodles (star of the show), and malasadas.
I really appreciate our waitress going above and beyond by offering to remove the lobster meat for us. Thank you Sofia!
It can get a bit loud from 5–7 PM with the after work crowd, but it’s still absolutely worth it. 10/10. Add this to your list.

I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the restaurant Macao Trading Company in NYC, USA.
A Chinese-inspired fusion restaurant drawing on the multicultural history of Macau, once a crossroads of Asian and Western influences. The concept explains the eclectic menu, ranging from Chinese classics to more Western-style dishes.
We tried the pork dumplings, which were good though a bit lacking in subtle seasoning, and the porterhouse steak, surprisingly well executed for a non-steakhouse — nicely seasoned and cooked, with decent meat quality. The interior is elegant and artistic, with a dark, moody ambiance, and service was reasonably efficient.
It feels like a place that may have lost a touch of its former glamour, yet still remains a solid dining option if you’re in the area. The restaurant was rather quiet during our visit, which perhaps says something about its current stage — but it’s still worth considering for dinner, as long as you keep expectations measured.

These might be the BEST pancakes I've ever had in nyc! So thick, fluffy but still flavorful! The eggs and sausage were also good! 10/10 worth the wait! Also the photo booth downstairs is so vintage and cute!!

It was our first time going. We went for brunch at 12:30 afternoon. We did make the walk in line. Stood in line for 20 minutes max. Very pack and busy inside. A lot of table and as you can see a little clustered. Everyone was nice and friendly. Love that they had different mimosa flavors.

I loved Bubby’s so much I went three times during my one-week trip. The breakfast was consistently amazing — everything tasted fresh, comforting, and full of flavor. Such a great spot for a cozy, classic brunch.
The only downside was that the hostesses weren’t the most welcoming, but once seated, the food and overall experience definitely made up for it. I’d still absolutely come back.

I went with my mom during Valentine’s weekend and they did really great with the long line and being super busy. They’re fast and friendly. My mom got the Bubby’s breakfast and I got the Pancake flight. The peach lemonade was lacking in peach taste but everything else made up for it. We sat at the bar and the guys behind there were both super nice and attentive. Had the best time and wait was worth it!

Best Italian food ever! We had the grilled eggplant with smoked mozzarella, lamb and beef meatballs, and homemade pasta with boar ragu. All were delicious! The homemade ricotta cheesecake was the best dessert I’ve ever had! So light and not too sweet, filled with vanilla buttery goodness! The service was excellent!

Went for a friend’s birthday party, the service and the food were superb.
The setting is a little rustic and traditional but for me that is part of the charm of the place.
The endive salad was very good.
The truffle panna cotta and the branzino were great.
The espresso coffee was fine but not great.
The ricotta cheesecake was one of the best I’ve tried in New York.
Highly recommended.

My Italian friend took me to Pepolino on a Monday night and I was super impressed with the food. We ordered the calamari fritti, Tagliatelle porcini and the Melanzane scarmoza which was my favorite dish. For dessert we ordered the Ricotta cheesecake and it was delicious. I’m not a cheesecake person but I LOVE this one. Great service and relaxing ambiance. The whole experience transported me back to Tuscany ❤️ This is an amazing restaurant and I can’t wait to dine where again

Stopped in for apps and wine, what a charming and wonderful restaurant. The service is perfect, the food is delicious. They serve a tomato flan with bread that is surprisingly tasty. The variety of apps we had, all were as good as the next. It’s cozy with ambient lighting and the jazz background music knocked it out of the park for me. Very highly recommended!

Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon and the restaurant was not very busy, the food & service were very good and I would recommend it and would visit again. My only down side was the table placement next to a large party of 8 and next to the "bar" area which was not ideal but the upstairs looked inviting & with a better table location/atmosphere it could have been a 5 pretty easily.

A wonderful restaurant and pub. New owners but it hasn't changed its wonderful food and atmosphere . There is so much history linked to this famous pub. The new Aussie owner was a charm. I just wished I could get the recipe for that best ever Pea Soup.😁

The waiter got mad at me for ordering French fries at the bar when I was sitting with a group in the back. His associate gave me a choice to either close out or continue ordering at the bar, only to be hassled by a rude server. They literally gave my fries to another customer in spite. Sad because the bartender totally understood the scenario but was powerless. These servers are out of control. And you know what… Kenn’s is a glorified dive bar! Not a restaurant. Get real or at least get better servers who won’t go to war with a customer over ordering fries at the bar. I told them to forget the order and take it off my bill. Literally this server passed up money all to prove a stupid point, which was even warranted to begin with because I got permission from another staff member to keep my tab at the bar. So lame.

A sudden rain storm and hungry bellies had us heading for a place to escape. As we read the menu outdoors, a woman passing by said “best burgers in New York”. That was enough of a testament for me.
I felt like I’d stepped back in time to pubs in England and Australia. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with colourful chalkboards spelling out the food and drinks plus the cosiness of the wooden chairs and tables.
We were immediately seated when we walked in and we endeavoured to dry off.
They do hamburgers differently here - in pita bread. I asked for “chips” with mine when I should’ve said “fries” a common mistake we Australians make in the USA. The burgers were flavoursome with a texture I’m not used to, yet still tasty. To go with our burgers we had margaritas.
Service was very good. Decor inviting. Outdoor dining available - which would be lovely hadn’t it been raining. Toilets antiquated yet somewhat charming.
We will return.

Loved my Mexican themed brunch at this 35 year old SoHo Institution last week. Everything is super fresh and homemade. Absolutely devoured the shrimp fajitas and quesadilla
The vibes are super chill and the menu is East L.A. themed with an assortment of brunch classics and some of their house specials like the fajitas and an array of tacos and burritos.

I had to swing by Lupe's while I was doing some Mr. Robot related sight seeing. The food was fantastic and the portion size was great. House marg was nice, too! By the time I was done with my meal there were a bunch of people waiting to be seated, so I'm guessing it's a local fave. I can see why! Luckily for me, the Dark Army was nowhere to be found. RIP Cisco.

Our Love Story (and Margaritas) Start at Lupe’s.
It’s time to write a review for the most important restaurant in Soho NYC to me and my husband. Lupe’s isn’t just a place; it’s where our love grew, from dating to marriage. I’ll never forget how, when my husband was still my boyfriend, he’d always stop by before seeing me to grab a margarita. Three years later, it’s still his favorite bar,his ritual. After work, you’ll find him here, greeted by the kindest bartenders who treat him like family (and pour the most generous drinks). and of course the margaritas are the best in town!!! Period❤️❤️❤️
The corner spot, with its neon glow and lantern style lighting, feels like a secret hideaway romantic, cozy, and alive with energy. Summer nights on the patio under those red lights just so magic!
We’ve ordered takeout many times, but tonight we sat at my favorite corner table outside and had a proper feast: the vibrant shrimp salad, crispy fish tacos, tender beef tacos, and the most perfectly cooked fish plate. And the flan? Hands down the best, tortillas are so yummy 🤤 😋 and authentic, the taste just can bring you back to Mexico! Portions are generous, flavors are bright, and everything tastes impossibly fresh, no surprise, since the entire kitchen team is from Mexico.
But what makes Lupe’s special isn’t just the food or drinks,it’s the people. The staff radiates warmth, making every visit feel like coming home. You can always find the owner inside and make sure every dish and drink is perfect, so friendly to the customers. Lupe’s is the institution ❤️ Funny enough, if I ever can’t reach my husband? I know exactly where he’ll be: at Lupe’s, drink in hand, happy or (occasionally) mad at me. It’s his sanctuary.
To the team: Thank you for being part of our story. Here’s to many more years of tacos, margaritas, and memories. If you love Mexican food, Soho charm, or just feeling like family, Lupe’s is your spot. It’s not just a restaurant—it’s a piece of our hearts.

Antique Garage Soho is one of my faves in the city. I went this time with a large group, and despite that, the servers were incredibly attentive and kind throughout the night. The food never disappoints. My first time ordering hummus and i loved the it!!! The ceviche was fresh and flavorful, the octopus was unbelievably soft and delicious, and the fish was perfectly prepared. This was my third visit, and every single time the food has been excellent.
I also adore the antique, lovely vibe of the space. It always feels warm, charming, and special, like stepping into another era. Highly recommend this spot for date nights or any occasion when you want great food and a lovely atmosphere.

Come for the vibes, not necessarily the food. They converted a mechanic's garage in a really cool way.. dripping with chandeliers, mismatched antiques, and candlelit charm. Very SoHo without being too try-hard
12 of us went in for weekday lunch. They did a stellar job of accommodating us. The Mediterranean food (mezes, kebabs, grilled octopus) was solid and tasty.. didn’t blow our minds, but no complaints
Good spot if you want to chill, grab a drink and people watch

The restaurant was a little bit disappointing. The space is interesting knowing that it was a garage space. The interior is busy but nice. The menu has many options but the food was disappointing in terms of taste and portions knowing the cuisine. The traditional chicken skewer was boring and tasteless. The baba ghanouj was ok and the cheese rolls were good. The service was okay but needs attention. Overall disappointing!
Wassim Ayass - 3 months ago
Beautiful restaurant, offering a wide selection of Mediterranean food, including appetizers to share.
The food could get some extra care and attention.
The chicken adana could be seasoned better. We couldn't tell what was in the baba ganoush, other than eggplant, of course. Definitely not an authentic baba ganoush.
The zucchini rolls were undercooked and filled with a cheese spread, instead of a feta or similar cheese.
The Greek salad was great.
The restaurant has potential, but the food needs some improvement for those prices.

I chose this restaurant for Christmas dinner for my party of 4, as we were not restricted to a pre-fixe menu. There were also plenty of vegetarian options. We had the halloumi, zucchini spring rolls, calamari salad, French fries, & 2 bottles of the Turkish red wine. All highly recommended! Entrees were whole Branzino, spicy shrimp, lamb skewers, & mashed potatoes. Not one bad bite the whole evening. Ambiance is beautiful, & Orlando our server was attentive, professional, & helped to make our dinner go smoothly. Wonderful experience!

Wow what an amazing authentic Italian restaurant!! I ended up here with a birthday party for 10 and it could not have been better. We got burrata, salads, and a variety of pastas and other dishes. I was absolutely obsessed with the butternut squash ravioli it was fantastic. The service was so wonderful and we felt very valued as customers. They have a great wine list too. I love supporting a real family restaurant, we met some of the family that owns it and they were truly so warm and kind. My friends and I will definitely be back in the future!

The first time we came here was over 10 years ago and we had such a bad experience, we figured it’s been long enough so let’s give it another shot. Outside of the grumpy old man who greets you at the entrance, who I think is the same one that was there 10 years ago, the service was very pleasant and friendly. The bread is absolutely delicious and the olive oil is good. That’s about it. The Caesar salad is drenched in oil, not even sure what that was. The pizza tasted like microwavable pizza with a fried crust. The Brodo with tortellini was average, perfectly OK and definitely needed the extra Parmesan and pepper added to it. The orecchiette was good, but tasted more like mac & cheese. The Bronzino was fine, unfortunately they do not debone the fish so that was a fun challenge. The wine was perfectly fine as well. It was a very average and underwhelming experience. The tables are right next to each other so you have about 6 inches of space between you and the person at the next table, which unfortunately is standard for some NYC restaurants. I certainly will not go back and will not recommend this restaurant. It wasn’t a horrible experience. It was just very average. and I believe it is a popular place because it is relatively inexpensive compared to other NYC restaurants. But you get what you pay for.

Great bread, decent tuna tartare, and then… the plot twist: a grey carbonara with onions. Yes—grey. With onions. At the very least, put a warning on the menu or just call it what it is: carbONIONara. And when customers complain, replying with “that’s how our chef does it and he’s Italian” is not the flex they think it is.
Overall? A culinary jump scare I didn’t sign up for. Would not recommend, and definitely not going back.

This is one of my favorite restaurants to dine at in NY! I have had so many memorable experiences here and the staff is lovely. The food is truly authentic and delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking out a great authentic Italian meal and a cozy atmosphere.
Ps.. the cheesecake is out of this world 😍

OMG. This is the gem of all gems. This now tops my list as the greatest homemade pasta in NY. This is not your usual mediocre overpriced Tribeca spot. This is outstanding and I’m telling everyone!
Get the homemade bolognese pasta and/or the lasagna and you’ll taste flavors you’ve never tasted outside of Italy. Generous outdoor seating on a warm night has you feeling like you’re in Florence. Cannot wait to come back for their desserts and more of their homemade pastas and fluffy bread.
5 stars!!!!!
