I love this place. My only complaint is sometimes, loud popular music is playing and I wish they would play folk, French, jazz, or anything unique really, that isn’t a repeat of every other typical American coffee shop. Ambience is everything.
Also, the lights are a little bright so neurodivergent people can’t stay as long a they’d like.
Oh, and when you get a little salad on the side of something it comes with no oil or vinegar, so it’s just dry greens.
Staff is excellent. They make you feel like they want you there.

Le Pain Quotidien is a cozy, casual café and bakery that feels like a little European escape right in NYC. The focus here is on simple, wholesome food — think freshly baked organic bread, tartines (open-faced sandwiches), soups, salads, coffee, and pastries — all made with quality ingredients and lots of vegetarian/vegan options.
I popped in for a late breakfast and loved the relaxed, communal vibe with long wooden tables and lots of natural light. My coffee and pastry were nice and comforting, and the tartine I ordered was fresh and flavorful without being too heavy. It’s a great spot for a chill brunch or midday coffee break.
That said, service can be a bit slow during busy times, and it’s a bit pricier compared to some other cafés, with mixed feedback from other diners about consistency. Overall, if you’re in the mood for a healthy, laid-back café meal with European flair, Le Pain Quotidien is worth a stop.

The staff were incredibly friendly and efficient, making me feel welcome right away. I ordered a matcha latte with almond milk and an avocado toast. The avocado was wonderfully fresh, though the bread was a bit on the stiff side. On the other hand, the croissants were fresh, flaky, and absolutely delicious. Overall, it was a great experience.

Beautiful and cozy spot for breakfast or brunch in the city! Le Pain Quotidien has a warm, rustic atmosphere that feels both relaxing and stylish. The organic breads and pastries are fresh, flavorful, and perfectly baked. I especially loved the croissants and the avocado toast — simple but delicious.
The service was friendly and efficient, and the space is very clean and comfortable for dining in. Great place to meet friends, work on a laptop, or enjoy a quiet meal. Prices match the quality and location. Definitely a place I will return to!

Everything was so perfect.
The breakfast before dinner concept with a mini bagel as pre-appetizer…
The crunchyness of the bread for duck in a jar.
The chewiness of the pasta.
The ambiance.
The service!
Thank you so much for a wonderful experience!!

I’m not sure why the signage & menu’s say Forge & online it’s called Forgione. I know it’s the owners name. This was really the only hiccup I had.
I decided to meet up here upon advice, and with a close friend who, like me are pseudo foodies with a carnivorous appetite that day. I’ve read great reviews and was impressed that this chef has/had Michelin Star ratings.
You’ll spend serious green back here, so be prepared. Although some plates are in the triple digits, it’s really not that uncommon…at least with steakhouses. For some it included several pairing dishes. This would make great location for a power lunch during the day or date night.
This lower Manhattan location is well kept and quite close to other sites.
I found the pacing & some typical etiquette slightly off key in some cases. It’s really not a big deal, but it stuck out.
Food wise a lot of detail went into plating & rich savory dishes that were certainly bespoke. The Tomahawk steak shareable was impressive as it was timed well and rendered in a nice blend of butter, oil, & spices…memorable. We didn’t order a lot of dishes, but enjoyed what we had.
The menu selection is small, yet offered a nice balance of poultry, beef, & fish. It’s a bit comical as the food section felt hidden amongst the drink selection. Note, you’ll find an wider, higher end range of spirits to pair or enjoy solo.
Would I go here again and recommend? Yes. I’m no Andrew Bourdain, however like him I’ve traversed the globe several times, trying to savor the taste of the different regions. This isn’t my first Michelin-esque eatery. I’ll say this, impressive. Enjoy.

Since 2016, we have had the pleasure of dining at your original location on Reade St. This visit marked our first experience at the new location, which is truly breathtaking. Our friends from Ireland, who joined us for dinner last night during their honeymoon, said it the finest dinner they had ever had. We wholeheartedly agree. The cuisine was absolutely exquisite! The service, food, and ambiance were, as always, exceptional and consistent. Our server, Molly, was outstanding and charismatic. She kept us laughing throughout the evening and was on top of asking about food allergies, which was very important since I recently developed allergies to hazelnuts. The entire team, including the lovely hostesses that greeted us with a warm welcome, Mez, Griffin, Darren, and Robert, provided attentive service, ensuring our every need was met. Your team is truly exceptional. We eagerly anticipate our next visit. Excellent job, Chef Forgione!

We really enjoyed our dinner at Forgione last night. Loved the chili lobster as well as the rabbit tartare appetizer special. The monkfish and pork chop were excellent as well. Great seasonal drinks and fun vibrant atmosphere. Service was attentive and friendly. We will definitely return.

We had an amazing experience at Forgione. From the moment we walked in, the host set the tone with a warm welcome and great service that carried through the entire evening.
The food was outstanding; the ravioli and spaghetti were perfectly prepared, the steak was cooked beautifully, and the egg dessert was one of the highlights of the night (creative, delicious, and memorable). Every dish felt thoughtful and elevated, and the atmosphere was relaxed yet special.
Highly recommend for anyone looking for incredible food paired with genuinely attentive service.

The french fries were the tastiest part of our meal. The bagel and smoked salmon dish was overpriced, for sure. The bagel itself was difficult to eat because it was kind of hard. We've had yummier french toasts elsewhere. Disappointed it was kind of a flop.

Got the salmon tartare and flank frites. Overall we loved the vibe and the service was very good. We also liked the flank frites but I liked the garlic butter more than the au poivre. The fries were perfectly crisp. The salmon tartare was ok, and the sauce honestly didn’t go that well with it.

It was one of the best date dinners ever in NYC! Charming atmosphere, elegant audience, attentive staff, delicious dishes, and surprisingly not as loud as usually in NYC. All these are components of your great time here, and afterwards, you want to visit this restaurant again!! Definitely will come back soon with my friends.
PS: Their fries are insane how delicious, old-school style, real potatoes, not a fake!!!

I try not to go off a restaurant based off a pickup order but the food is decent. Portioning for the price is a bit off but the hot honey sauce on the wings had a nice spice to it. If your heat sensitive, one or two fries will do the trick. Service was excellent and I really want to try their desserts out next time I go. This is an establishment that would be good for a meeting, date, or after work wine down.

Fantastic sports bar with great food and an awesome atmosphere! Mudville is the perfect place to relax after work or hang out with friends. The ribs were tender and full of flavor, and the wings were crispy and delicious. Huge selection of beers on tap and classic pub drinks.
The space is clean, stylish, and comfortable with a rustic vibe. Staff were friendly, attentive, and fast even during busy hours. Prices are fair for the quality and location. Highly recommended if you’re in the area — I’ll definitely be back!

Classical ambiance. Staff provides fantastic and refined service and is highly attentive and anticipatory of one's needs. The food is stellar without being mainstream and conventional. I appreciate the starters + the variety of dishes on the menu outside of pasta. Desserts resemble an art exhibition, are creative and are definitely the highlight of this restaurant. Fave is the pistachio creme brûlée - yay.
Sunni Lal - 4 months ago
I've been to the Scalini Fedeli in Chatham and I must say the Montville location has truly raised the bar. Perhaps I lucked out by booking less busy times, but having been there twice now in the course of the week, I can easily say that this my favorite Italian dining experience in New Jersey. The food is fantastic. Yes, the menu is prix fixe but I have not had a miss from the main menu options yet. You are always greeted with house made foccaccia and some small crostinis/bruschettas upon sitting down. The bruschetta can be divided between umami tomato with a kick, sweet hazelnut and ricotta, and salty tangy salmon dill bites. Each bite is well-balanced and opens up your palate for what is to come. The cocktails are expensive, but I thoroughly enjoyed the bourbon based cocktails. Having a bourbon cocktail served in a martini cocktail glass was a bit unusual but it was good nonetheless. My partners enjoyed the fruitier cocktails and their Moscato. The piccolo/intermezzo contained perfectly cooked shrimp that complimented the sauces excellently. The zucchini scarpace that accompanied the shrimp was delightfully light and was tasty as well. Of the times I have been I got to try a total of 4 primis between me and my partner. Any pasta you select here is cooked perfectly al dente. I had the fusili with Calabrian chili most recently and the umami flavors from the sauce went excellently with the pasta. I think it could have been a little more spicy but it was delicious nonetheless. The papardelle with the pork/lamb shank ragu is a must-try and so rich with flavor. The soft-egg yolk raviolo was also delightful. I appreciated that the truffle flavor did not overpower the dish and instead provided a subtle enhancement to the overall experience. I tried the pork chop for my main dish and it was perfectly cooked. Juicy, savory, yet fully cooked with a perfect crust and an easy going gravy. The gravy could have stood to be a little more experimental with it's flavor perhaps but it was as good as a classic can get. I also tried the rib eye supplement and it was worth the extra price. The steak was made perfectly medium rare with a phenomenal herb crust and a butter sauce that complimented the meat well. The palate cleanser before dessert was a fresh pineapple with lemon sorbet that made my mother, the harshest critic of them all, say it was the best palate cleanser she ever had. Dessert was somehow even better than the mains. The chocolate robuchon and flourless chocolate cake were the perfect amount of richness. There was a fresh strawberry dish that had the best strawberry cream I've ever had and the pistachio creme brulee was excellent as well. Overall, the balance of flavors and textures demonstrated a level of culinary refinement i have had yet to see in many restaurants I've been to in North Jersey. For Italian Fine Dining I would come to no other place in North Jersey. The service is attentive, polite, yet warm. The atmosphere was intimate and not too loud. I did not get much wine but they have an excellent selection from what I could see. My new favorite Italian restaurant in NJ!

We had an event in the neighborhood and were searching for a nice restaurant and wow did we find a winner!
Scalini Fedeli was exceptional.
From the moment we walked in the door to the moment we left it was an exceptional dining experience.
The restaurant interior is beautiful, soft vaulted ceilings, comfortable seating and the lighting is just right. We arrived early and were offered a corner booth type table which was perfect for the two of us.
Each course of the fixed price menu was excellent.
We look forward to returning and highly recommend.

This was my first time in NYC and wanted to make sure I had some real good Italian food. After doing a lot of research and Reddit comments. I some how came across this gem and I’m so glad I did! Me and my fiance had never had this type of quality service and more importantly food! They went above and beyond and exceeded all expectations! The tasting menu is phenomenal and the chef is very nice to always make sure everyone gets complimentary dishes. I’m so glad we came here and if we are back to the NYC this will now be a regular visit !
jose villeda - 3 months ago
This place is a big break from all the trendy, hard to get, crowded italian places in NYC. It's old school, you get treated like royalty, anything you order I'm sure is going to be top notch, and you get complimentary small bites from the chef all the time. If you want to impress your in-laws, this is the way to go. The butternut squash ravioli was to die for, and the tiramisu is probably the best I've had in the city. I bet the pre-fixe menu is great, but we ordered a la carte and had the best time too.
We didn't feel rushed to get up and leave, and we just had an amazing evening overall. Would definitely come back soon, thanks for the impeccable service and food!

Tiny's & The Bar Upstairs, nestled in a distinctive three-story, literally tiny townhouse in Tribeca, offers an intimate and fabulous atmosphere.
The cool design of this historic 1810 townhouse is truly fascinating. The setting itself is the star, creating a distinctly warm and romantic vibe with its rustic Americana styling. The atmosphere is intimate and cozy, making it an ideal spot to spend an evening. The aesthetic, from the weathered brick and framed 'little things' to the 'dirty' pink wallpaper, contributes to a highly visual and charming environment.
We were there only for drinks, and the bar experience was unparalleled. The barman was absolutely fabulous, providing exceptional service that felt personalized and attentive. I ordered a cocktail (don't remember the name as I was there some time ago and forgot to write the name of the drink in my notes ;) ), that was pure perfection, a truly standout drink.
If you're looking for an atmospheric, cute and cocktail spot, Tiny's & The Bar Upstairs is highly recommended 💛

My friend and I visited on an early Friday evening and found the experience somewhat mixed. The winter sangria listed on the happy hour menu was a solid choice, though we were charged the regular price. The ceviche was fresh and flavorful, but unfortunately contained a small piece of hair which detracted from the appetizer.
On a more positive note, my friend really enjoyed the chicken risotto, and I was pleasantly surprised by the burger (cooked medium-rare) with truffle fries that complemented it well. That said, at $32, I’m not sure I would order it again. Service was also uneven where one server felt rushed when placing our meals and clearing plates, making the process feel a bit abrupt. We’d be open to returning to see if the experience improves.

Best burger in NYC?? This place definitely is in the running for this title and is truly a hidden gem!!
Can’t miss items are their burger (served with caramelized onions, mushrooms, and cheddar!), their tater tots (BEST I’ve ever had- super crispy, slightly bouncy and reminiscent of Pão de queijo), and the butter pecan cheesecake (tasted like a butterscotch dum dum in the best way!!).
The vibes here are charming and cozy too; would make the perfect date night spot!

Came here on a Friday night and was pleasantly surprised. The vibe and space are cute and inviting. We started with happy hour drinks and oysters, which were great and a good deal. For dinner, the homemade tater tots with the special sauce were a standout. The pumpkin risotto was so good — not too cheesy or heavy, with just the right amount of vegetables. I’m still thinking about it! You also can’t go wrong with the Kit Kat dessert — delicious.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ 4.5/5
We visited Tiny's and the Bar Upstairs on a Wednesday evening, and it was a lovely spot. The outdoor space was inviting, perfect for people-watching, and the upstairs area was warm and cozy, ideal for winter. We didn't have a reservation, but our hostess was kind enough to find us a seat. The service was a bit spotty, likely due to the crowd, but our experience was still enjoyable. We ordered the orange wine, which was delicious, and some appetizers - citrus ceviche, Tony's tater tots, and burrata with peach. Everything was fresh and well-made. And for dessert, we got the Kit Kat chocolate cake( forget the name!) , which my friend with the sweet tooth thoroughly appreciated. It's a great spot for a date night or a group of four. We'll likely be back for the drinks, food, and ambiance, but might try to avoid peak hours.

Got takeout for dinner comped by work. Not as fresh quality as Soho Sushi. The amount of soy sauce they gave (less than half a cup) was definitely not enough. The wasabi quality is also not good - weird vibrant green color. Won’t be getting this again
- Sushi dinner set w/ miso soup: 6/10, I feel like the sushi quality wasn’t very fresh. One of the yellow tail nigiri pieces was a little bloody? California roll was standard. The miso soup is standard and good tho

Not enough soy sauce in the container - not even enough for one roll. They also didn't provide a spoon for the miso soup. Ordered the 3-roll lunch special on GrubHub. Glad they followed the note to not add wasabi though. I would order again!

This is surprisingly affordable and fresh sushi. I should say we ordered vegan dishes for all eight of us, so I cannot comment on the sashimi or other sushi that there are other mixed reviews on. We enjoy the miso, avocado cucumber and sweet potato tempura rolls. The food was delivered quickly too! If you have a big family to feed and want to have sushi, this is a great option for vegans/vegetarians.

Perfect meal on an icy day. I was lured in by the lunch special displayed on the outside and it even came with chai ! The chicken was nice and juicy and the vegetables very nicely spiced. Left a clean plate and it was a cozy environment on a blisteringly cold day.

Today was my first time here even though I have worked in the area for a while. The staff is so welcoming and friendly. The server made great suggestions and the food was delicious.
What I liked best was the spicing of the food was perfect. I had The Feast, one chicken dish, one veggie and rice. I find Indian cooking is a real art. All the spices blended well so the rice, eggplant and chicken tikki created explosions of wonderful experiences in my mouth.
The price is amazing! $13.75 for a tasty and extremely satisfying meal in this neighborhood is exceptional. Especially since we are in inflationary times.
I was too full to have dessert. Their dessert menu looked so tempting. I will have to go back to try other dishes and leave enough room for dessert. Can’t wait to try their Moong Dal Halwa - sweet lentil pudding with nuts and ghee! Yummy!
I highly recommend this place if you want reasonably priced, delicious food while feeling welcomed by the friendly staff.

Zucker’s Bagels & Smoked Fish is a true New York gem. The bagels are everything you want them to be—crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside, and always fresh. I had the classic lox with cream cheese, tomato, red onion, and capers on an everything bagel and it was perfection. The smoked fish is top-quality, and you can tell they take pride in their ingredients. Service was friendly and efficient, even during the busy morning rush. Great spot for a legit NYC bagel experience!

This place is good, but totally overpriced and the staff is not friendly at all. Indeed, the bagel was delicious, but not worth 20 dollars. It was very hyped everywhere so I decided to try it, but won’t be back. I’ve had very good bagels in NY, just like this one, but at 1/3 the price. An extra point for having the “gluten free” option for the menu, plus a special green bagel made for St. Patrick’s day.

I've been a student around here for only a week so I haven't explored the area a lot. But I received a flyer for student deals as long as you have ID. Not sure how long the promotion will last but I hope I can get it again when I need a quick meal near school. You can get a BEC with tax for under $6! (I needed to get it without cheese)
Tip: use their spice seasoning by the pick up counter before you take the bagel to go! (Love the red one) Maybe they can help you add it before packing the bagel.
