The only thing to ever change Nathan’s was Hurricane Sandy. The refurbished place is much better organized, and they now have seating outside in the summer and inside in the winter. They even changed the line system; now it’s one line feeding into 6 cashiers, like in a bank. Good thinking. $5.99 per hot dog. Best to print a coupon. But they are delicious. Maybe because of the salt air, line they say. So nice to get a seat under the umbrellas on the side and enjoy the cool ocean breeze. And the sound of the police sirens. And the people who smoke too much and beg for money.
Anyway, I have always liked it. It’s still great.

Nathan's Famous on Coney Island is an iconic institution that truly lives up to its reputation. The atmosphere is vibrant and full of energy, reflecting the rich history and tradition of this legendary hot dog stand. The hot dogs are simply unbeatable - juicy, flavorful, and topped with all the classic fixings that make for a wonderful dining experience. They also offer a variety of sides and sandwiches. Definitely a legendary destination all foodies should visit.

I ordered (way too much) fried clam boat, hot dog with sauerkraut & a big Diet Coke. All delicious!! Great service. Fun experience. I love Nathan’s Coney Island & Corlissa was a fabulous & friendly server.

As a native New Yorker, I can safely say that this place is grossly overrated. Nathan's is a classic tourist trap for those visiting Coney Island for the first time. I have eaten here only a couple of times, and my experiences here were very underwhelming, to say the least. The food (especially the hot dogs) is extremely overpriced, and the fries are greasy and overcooked, in my opinion. For the price of one hot dog you can go to your local supermarket and buy a whole pack for the same price and have the same Nathan's experience at home. But since this place is a landmark and is a popular site for the hot dog eating contest every year, tourists will continue to frequent this establishment regardless of the quality and cost of the food. However, the service is quite fast, and there are plenty of areas to sit outside. Would I recommend Nathan's to a tourist from out of state? The quick answer would be no, as there are much better well-known eateries in Brooklyn.

First time in Coney Island, had to stop at the original Nathan's.
Great hot dogs and the fries where some of the best I've ever had.
If you're in the area, def stop in here to eat!

The food here is absolutely divine, and the atmosphere is simply electrifying! The live music adds a whole new level of excitement. It's impossible to resist the urge to jump up and dance! We decided to celebrate Valentine's Day here, and let me tell you, it was an exceptional experience. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Casually walking by, stopped in for a quick dinner was given the VIP treatment! Great food and hospitality, with that old school family owned and operated history/charm as soon as you arrive. Thank You Jerry, for both the service and conversation.

Mother's day brunch . It was our first time going . Our friends from the beach club love to go during the summer. The price fixe for kids was 50.00 for French fries and chicken fingers . Kids enjoyed but for one 8yr old it seems a bit much. The raviolis were terrific and the clams out of this world though. It's worth trying once but I should have planned for another day .

A really special experience. Gorgeous, classy atmosphere with great soft music and good quality food. Fresh Italian bread.
Staff was friendly and attentive, and knowledgeable about the history of the area. My mom came here decades ago and was overjoyed to return again.
One of my best experiences in NYC. Thank you!

Classic Italian Restaurant in the heart of Coney Island. We went as a large group and quickly found out they are very strict with dress code and who can come in. Several members of our group were not allowed in, which made for some tension at our table.
Those who did get in were taken care of with a good meal and service. We started with some fresh mozzarella and tomatoes. To me, it was bland and the cheese rubbery with unripe tastless tomatoes. It needed oil and balsamic vinegar to wake it up. We then had their excellent zucchini fries that were light and sweet and one of the best I have had. Our pasta dish was penne with tomatoe sauce. The penne was cooked perfectly aldante, but I felt the sauce was a bit too sharp. It needed plenty of sprinkled parmasian to smooth it out. I tried the broiled salmon, which was slightly overcooked but good. I thought the egg plant parm I tasted was much better, tender, and very flavourful. The sauce on the parm to me was better than on the pasta dish. We ended with a delicious slice of their cannoli cake. It was light with the perfect balance of cream and mini chocolate chips between the layers. The regular coffee served was strong and a smooth roast but unfortunately served lukewarm.
Overall, the food is very good if you choose wisely. But be prepared in this modern day to dress and look, in their acceptable way, or you might not get in.

Still one of the best in NYC but take out only means the pie goes in a box where it loses some of that amazing texture you get when eating it right of the oven brought to your table fresh and hot. I fear those days are gone. It was kind of sad picking up our pies with all the old tables and chairs stacked in the corner. Different times for the place that was always my NYC favorite.

Amazing Food grew up going to this place it has the best pizza that I have ever had in my life as my grandfather brought me here growing up. People can say whatever they about service this place is worth the wait. I’ve seen changes positive compassionate changes in ownerships behavior for the better with my own two eyes so I am pleased to say that to Totonnos is a great an excellent Pizzaria for all

We used to eat at the 2nd Avenue location back in the day, this was our first visit to the Coney Island location. I’ll put this pizza up against the best, I could drink the pizza sauce by the gallon it’s that delicious. We have our go to spot back for Pizza again.

Death, Taxes and Totonno’s is the best pizza in NYC. These are three self evident truths I know are indisputable and irrefutable. I do not say this in a vacuum, this is not some cheap hyperbole. I’ve eaten at the great pizza shops in the NYC area, I’ve been where you’ve been! This place is truly number 1 and worth the visit. The sweet Nonna who’s taken care of so many patrons is at the helm of this establishment. She will take your order, she will ask you if you need plates and napkins, she will double check if you need more and give you more just because she knows you’ll probably need more. That’s what a Nonna does! Let’s talk about the pizza, all I have to say is GARLIC. It’s the GARLIC, they microplane that stuff into the sauce. It’s practically floating on top. The lip of the crust is being kissed ever so gently by that sauce with the consent of that garlic and sprinkling of Pecorino Romano cheese. It’s the perfect bite. This pizza is what you need and you didn’t know it. It’s weep worthy.
In conclusion, it’s a 10 outta 10, 5 stars, an A+, with a 4.0GPA, it’s the valedictorian, the Rhodes Scholar, it earns the U.S. Medal of Honor for its service, it’s the Commander in Chief of all pizza forces.

Went there for late lunch with family after hanging out at the beach. Got inside right away because it was not that busy. Food was great, staff were attentive and friendly. Drinks were good. Very satisfied with everything except one small thing, they need to turn on the AC a bit cooler during the hot days 🤣.

The food was was delicious and flavorful. I had a spicy burger with sweet potato fries dipped in 🍯 honey, big onion rings that were so tasty 😋. The portions were to much to eat that I had to bring the rest home... Hope to go back when the day is not so crazy, our waiter was all over the place, but he kept apologizing for the long wait on food... the wait was worth it!

After a long beach day, I wanted to eat and relax. I'm glad I chose this restaurant. The staff is pleasant and courteous. I had the grilled salmon with grilled vegetables. It was so delicious! I will definitely go back to The Red Doors when I next visit Coney Island. Also It is conveniently located close to the train station.

Food was great!!! We ordered the chicken sandwich, the burger, and the salad. We were practically raving about our food the whole time as we really did not expect it to be that good (no offense!!). Price was so affordable especially given the big portions. Service was quick and efficient despite the waitress being the one-woman team. Highly recommend! :)

Popeyes was a great choice for a quick bite. The chicken was crispy, tasty and served hot! The biscuits were buttery and delicious and the apple pie was insanely scrumptious! The service was prompt and efficient, the young lady was courteous and pleasant. The store was clean and organized, and it is wheelchair accessible but small. Talk about fast food - they got it!

IHOP in Coney Island offers a decent dining experience with good food options that cater to a variety of tastes. While the food itself meets expectations in terms of quality and taste, there is room for improvement in other areas, particularly in terms of service.
One area where IHOP could enhance the dining experience is by improving their service standards. Being more attentive to customers' needs, maintaining cleaner tables, and having more efficient waitstaff could greatly enhance the overall experience for diners.
By making these improvements, IHOP could elevate its dining experience from mediocre to memorable, ensuring that customers not only enjoy their meals but also feel well taken care of during their visit.

Last Saturday I went to have breakfast with my daughter, the food was delicious but I must say that the place was so dirty. When I go out I like to observe how clean is the place but once again I was very disappointed. Tables , booths and floors were so unclean, that I wanted to leave immediately, but my daughter didn’t want to go so I decided to stay. Place needs to be clean more often!

IHOP came through in a big way for our Mother’s Day celebration at LIFE-Coney Island Learning Center. The catering menu was absolutely fantastic, with a delicious array of pancakes, French toast, bacon, sausage, and other breakfast delights that left everyone satisfied and smiling. Ayesha, who works at IHOP and whose son attends our learning center, deserves a huge thank you for her impeccable service and attention to detail. The combination of great food and outstanding service made our Mother’s Day celebration truly memorable. I can’t recommend IHOP enough for any catering needs or just a fantastic meal out!

Strong management. They turn any issues around and make any bad staff member be good or else.
Indoors if rain and outdoors area.
Great prices for Coney Island on beer. They seem to mave some specials on jumbo margaritas but you need to ask.
Food prices what you expect for coney island. But for NYC not over the top.
They stopped late night band it seems for now. They reopened their bad patio area.

Surf City is the best restaurant after a half marathon!! It has been my 3rd year eating here after Brooklyn Half and it does not disappoint!
Location: It is located in Coney Island. Right in front of Cyclone. There a lot of seatings inside and outside!
Service: the staff were nice, they are very attentive and give us recommendations.
Food: The food is always good! 3 years I have been going here and everything was delicious.
PENNE ALA VODKA with SHRIMP: it is probably my favorite! The pasta is cooked al dente and the sauce was just delicious! They topped it with grilled shrimp and it was the perfect addition to the sauce!
MARGHERITA PIZZA: best type of pizza here for me! The crust is crispy and cooked properly. The sauce and mozzarella is delicious. 1 slice and I’m already full.
SPAGHETTI with MEATBALLS: very authentic! The meatballs is juicy and flavorful inside. The sauce is af course tomato base and tangy. The pasta again is cooked al dente!
Price rating: 6/10. To be honest the price is not bad for authentic Italian food.
I will definitely come back here to try other food!

Great Pizzeria located in the picturesque Coney Island area right across the street from the infamous Cyclone.
It offers a vast selection of all kinds of very appetizing looking pizzas, calzones, Strombolis, rolls plus many traditional Italian dishes.
Interesting ambiance, very courteous and friendly staff, young bartender was kind enough to show me all sorts of exotic beers and spirits they have in stock and advised a great one-"Fat Tire" which I never had before but enjoyed tremendously and it was a perfect compliment to the slice of the magnificent Margherita pizza I picked also following an advice of a very pleasant pizza maker plus traditional Italian chicken & cheese roll which was huge and was served with a side dish of the delectable house made marinara sauce.
Pizza was delicious-flavorful, scrumptious with an amazing crunchy but soft crust and lots of yummy cheese, so was the chicken roll which was so enormous, I wasn't able to eat it all and took the 2nd half home.
All in all-great dining experience, definitely recommend to everyone visiting Luna Park and Coney Island beach to drop by for a refreshing drink and a hearty meal.
P. S. They have this intriguingly looking machine with an ancient fortune teller-Zaltar that reminded me of an old movie with Tom Hanks "Big" where similar machine changed young boy's life forever so I couldn't resist and paid Zaltar for the reading, hoping it will change my life too.

Came here just to get the funnel cakes. Been ages since the last time I had the funnel cake, brought back some memories. Service was good coz we were the only customers at the time then more people came after we got our orders and started eating. The place has seating areas inside and outside. Better stay outdoor seatings if you don't want to get the smoke smell all over your clothes/body.
