What more can you ask for. A New york now even world national place. I live now in Chicago but when i am in town. Nothing like the original Nathans hot dog. We also had the French Fries. God it was so great. Wait staff was great, happy and friendly.

This is a landmark unlike many others. Sitting in the same spot for nigh over 100 years, this venerated hot dog house has been feeding literally generations with their famous frankfurters.
Located just across the street from the Stillwell Ave. subway terminal, Nathan's is extremely convenient to get to. It is also a literal block from the fabled Coney Island Beach where one can find a variety of amusements during the right time of year.
Inside, much has changed since the past in regards to the internal layout and layout. Whilst once the purveyor of the venerated Chop Suey Sandwich, once can now find a variety of burgers on the menu. However, you can still buy some fried seafood by the pound, just like nature intended.
They still sell hotdogs.
You may come across Nathan's dogs in the supermarket or even one of their franchise locations. Be warned: they are not the same. The quality drops sharply once you are no longer in the original hot dog house.
Inside, dispute the shear amount of people in line, your time at the counter comes quickly. You can even use the self-serve kiosks, but no, it's not worth the lack of one-on-one personal attentiveness you'll receive dealing directly with the people behind the counter.
If you're ever within an hours journey from here, I implore you to check it out. And if you don't like it, then tough: it's your own fault for not appreciating the masterful quality that goes into each item served.
While eating your meal, you can ponder if hot dogs count as open-faced sandwiches or not and why everyone who disagrees with you is horribly wrong and incorrect.
Also, the milk shakes are very thick, just as they're supposed to be.

The original Coney Island hotdog is good. It tastes like you would expect, but not over the top special. What was blow you away special were the fries! Holy cow, were they good. Do not miss out on these guys! We got the plain, but they have several types of smothered as well.

I only gave it 5 stars because of the history of this place. 1st Nathan's in the world, and love the added history Coney Island backdrop. To add...Nathan's still the best Hot Dogs ever!!

The food here is absolutely divine, and the atmosphere is simply electrifying! The live music adds a whole new level of excitement. It's impossible to resist the urge to jump up and dance! We decided to celebrate Valentine's Day here, and let me tell you, it was an exceptional experience. I cannot recommend this place enough.

A really special experience. Gorgeous, classy atmosphere with great soft music and good quality food. Fresh Italian bread.
Staff was friendly and attentive, and knowledgeable about the history of the area. My mom came here decades ago and was overjoyed to return again.
One of my best experiences in NYC. Thank you!

Classic Italian Restaurant in the heart of Coney Island. We went as a large group and quickly found out they are very strict with dress code and who can come in. Several members of our group were not allowed in, which made for some tension at our table.
Those who did get in were taken care of with a good meal and service. We started with some fresh mozzarella and tomatoes. To me, it was bland and the cheese rubbery with unripe tastless tomatoes. It needed oil and balsamic vinegar to wake it up. We then had their excellent zucchini fries that were light and sweet and one of the best I have had. Our pasta dish was penne with tomatoe sauce. The penne was cooked perfectly aldante, but I felt the sauce was a bit too sharp. It needed plenty of sprinkled parmasian to smooth it out. I tried the broiled salmon, which was slightly overcooked but good. I thought the egg plant parm I tasted was much better, tender, and very flavourful. The sauce on the parm to me was better than on the pasta dish. We ended with a delicious slice of their cannoli cake. It was light with the perfect balance of cream and mini chocolate chips between the layers. The regular coffee served was strong and a smooth roast but unfortunately served lukewarm.
Overall, the food is very good if you choose wisely. But be prepared in this modern day to dress and look, in their acceptable way, or you might not get in.

I've lived in Brooklyn my whole life, and I have never been to Gargiulo's up until now. My wife on the other hand has and spent our entire time on the quick drive to Gargiulo's talking about how good the food is....so naturally I was expecting ok food and service because that's my luck.
Upon arrival, valet service was professional and efficient. The staff were welcoming and helpful, guiding us to our event hall. The food was spectacular, and risotto was my favorite and highly recommended.
My only complaint was how an older gentleman treated the staff. I observed him personally treat a couple of the staff in a manner that I felt was completely out of line. When I asked the staff member, "What's his problem? " The staff member had class and shrugged it off and said nothing bad about this person. They exhibited more class and respect than this person deserved. Kudos to the staff. I highly recommend this place.

I have so many fond memories of this restaurant growing up in Brooklyn. It was a place where we had many celebrations. The food is freshly made & traditional Italian. Highly recommend for a family event.

Amazing. Food grew up going to this place has the best pizza ever had in my life as my grandfather brought me. People can say whatever they want about the service saying it’s hit or miss. Do you know what this place has been standing on hard-working wooden legs compared to artificial brand new legs of a dinner table and you know what I wanna pass the good word and recommendation because this place is worth the it and it’s quality and I’ve seen changes positive compassionate changes in ownerships behavior for the better with my own two eyes so I am pleased to say that to Totonnos is a great an excellent pizza Rea

We used to eat at the 2nd Avenue location back in the day, this was our first visit to the Coney Island location. I’ll put this pizza up against the best, I could drink the pizza sauce by the gallon it’s that delicious. We have our go to spot back for Pizza again.

Very good! Not the best pizza in American though; yall are buggin. The old lady was rude and not in a charming nyc way. Prices are WILD @ $30 for a small pie. Worth a try once so you can say you had it, but not worth a return visit when Lucia ave x, L&b spumoni, and di fara are so close and are frankly much much much better.

Death, Taxes and Totonno’s is the best pizza in NYC. These are three self evident truths I know are indisputable and irrefutable. I do not say this in a vacuum, this is not some cheap hyperbole. I’ve eaten at the great pizza shops in the NYC area, I’ve been where you’ve been! This place is truly number 1 and worth the visit. The sweet Nonna who’s taken care of so many patrons is at the helm of this establishment. She will take your order, she will ask you if you need plates and napkins, she will double check if you need more and give you more just because she knows you’ll probably need more. That’s what a Nonna does! Let’s talk about the pizza, all I have to say is GARLIC. It’s the GARLIC, they microplane that stuff into the sauce. It’s practically floating on top. The lip of the crust is being kissed ever so gently by that sauce with the consent of that garlic and sprinkling of Pecorino Romano cheese. It’s the perfect bite. This pizza is what you need and you didn’t know it. It’s weep worthy.
In conclusion, it’s a 10 outta 10, 5 stars, an A+, with a 4.0GPA, it’s the valedictorian, the Rhodes Scholar, it earns the U.S. Medal of Honor for its service, it’s the Commander in Chief of all pizza forces.

It’s the best pizza I’ve ever had 🫶🏻 I’ve been to Italy, and living in NY since 2011 (yes, I’ve had Joes, Lombardi’s, Williamsburg pizza, Andrew Belluci’s, and countless other Italian and NY style pizza restaurants) and this is absolutely the best pizza. I would say it is the perfect marriage of a Neopolitan style and NY style. Sauce is perfect- fresh and sweet, and dough is perfection- you can eat the crust without worrying about cutting up your mouth with its crispness. We got a pepperoni pie for lunch before the aquarium, and came back after the aquarium for another one for an early dinner. You won’t be disappointed!

Went there for late lunch with family after hanging out at the beach. Got inside right away because it was not that busy. Food was great, staff were attentive and friendly. Drinks were good. Very satisfied with everything except one small thing, they need to turn on the AC a bit cooler during the hot days 🤣.

The food was was delicious and flavorful. I had a spicy burger with sweet potato fries dipped in 🍯 honey, big onion rings that were so tasty 😋. The portions were to much to eat that I had to bring the rest home... Hope to go back when the day is not so crazy, our waiter was all over the place, but he kept apologizing for the long wait on food... the wait was worth it!

After a long beach day, I wanted to eat and relax. I'm glad I chose this restaurant. The staff is pleasant and courteous. I had the grilled salmon with grilled vegetables. It was so delicious! I will definitely go back to The Red Doors when I next visit Coney Island. Also It is conveniently located close to the train station.

Good vibes from the live dj in here on my first visit. Ordered drinks, sat at the bar. The two drinks and the tab came together. My expression caused the server to apologize. Didn't appreciate that, it felt a bit profiling, as I observed others at the bar treated differently. Had the one drink and went somewhere else. Won't return but it was ok outside of that. Clean restroom, lively ambience, tastefully decorated.

Highly enjoyed the vibe of The Red Doors. Why buy a generic burger when you can dig into the restaurant's signature recipe? Loved their spicy blend beef and the fact I didn't need sauce to elevate the burger.
Overall, a great place for a meal with friends. Oh and don't forget the drinks. I personally had the Moscow mule and it went well with the Red Doors Burger.

Last Saturday I went to have breakfast with my daughter, the food was delicious but I must say that the place was so dirty. When I go out I like to observe how clean is the place but once again I was very disappointed. Tables , booths and floors were so unclean, that I wanted to leave immediately, but my daughter didn’t want to go so I decided to stay. Place needs to be clean more often!

Arrived there at 10:30 am and it was already full. We waited 10 minutes for the table. Luckily got the booth. Spinach and tomato omelette was delicious. Pancakes were ok but French toast was YUMMY! They have 4 different types of syrup for the pancakes. Staff is extremely helpful and very friendly.

I decided to take my brothers randomly & was pleasantly surprised once I saw that they were offering new French toast. IHOP’s French toast was my go to whenever I went there but it was always a hit or miss so I was definitely excited to try the new recipe. Now that I’ve tried it I can safely say that you HAVE to try it. The new French toast is 1000 times better than the old one. I recommend you get it with whipped cream instead of butter but that’s just my preference. The slices are big & fluffy & filled me up pretty quickly. The mozzarella sticks are good too & so is the crispy breakfast potatoes. I will say it might take a few extra minutes to get your order but that’s only because there’s only one person working the tables so pls remember to tip generously.
Edit: went back & the crepes are amazing

It was a cold day but I love nature ; I may was ready for whatever but when it comes sometimes I’m indifferent like that day . I ordered the food in advance by phone before picking up even tho I was a few mins late I do still feel like the food was rushed . I would have wanted my chicken crispy . I also ordered coffee that day with milk and got none . And was pretty happy the fries was still good and tasted nice . Perhaps we all had a rough day but I’m not sure still you can be the judge next time in stay possibly and pancakes as desired before the take out . As far as the other meal it was for a friend so I’m not sure , thanks for reading .

Great Pizzeria located in the picturesque Coney Island area right across the street from the infamous Cyclone.
It offers a vast selection of all kinds of very appetizing looking pizzas, calzones, Strombolis, rolls plus many traditional Italian dishes.
Interesting ambiance, very courteous and friendly staff, young bartender was kind enough to show me all sorts of exotic beers and spirits they have in stock and advised a great one-"Fat Tire" which I never had before but enjoyed tremendously and it was a perfect compliment to the slice of the magnificent Margherita pizza I picked also following an advice of a very pleasant pizza maker plus traditional Italian chicken & cheese roll which was huge and was served with a side dish of the delectable house made marinara sauce.
Pizza was delicious-flavorful, scrumptious with an amazing crunchy but soft crust and lots of yummy cheese, so was the chicken roll which was so enormous, I wasn't able to eat it all and took the 2nd half home.
All in all-great dining experience, definitely recommend to everyone visiting Luna Park and Coney Island beach to drop by for a refreshing drink and a hearty meal.
P. S. They have this intriguingly looking machine with an ancient fortune teller-Zaltar that reminded me of an old movie with Tom Hanks "Big" where similar machine changed young boy's life forever so I couldn't resist and paid Zaltar for the reading, hoping it will change my life too.

Came here just to get the funnel cakes. Been ages since the last time I had the funnel cake, brought back some memories. Service was good coz we were the only customers at the time then more people came after we got our orders and started eating. The place has seating areas inside and outside. Better stay outdoor seatings if you don't want to get the smoke smell all over your clothes/body.

I'd eat here everyday. My SO went there and ordered every seafood option besides mussels or oysters. Perfectly fried and seasoned. We even tried the pizza, super cheesy could have been a little more crisp, but really good nonetheless. They also have drinks, and are literally next to the amusement pk. Parking is non-existent, of course, but worth risking double-parking 🫣

Nice small eatery near Nathan's Famous on Surf Ave in Coney Island. Staff is friendly, food is hot and at times freshly made, and the drinks are always cold. My go to's are the corn on the cob (with butter), potato kanish, shish kabobs, and chicken tenders with French fries (and tarter sauce on the side. Ask for whatever condiments you like). Give them a try!
