Nathan’s Famous 🌭🌭🌭is a Brooklyn tradition and a must-do every time I’m in Coney Island. You know exactly what you’re getting—delicious hot dogs on a perfectly crisp bun and their iconic fries with cheese sauce. It’s classic Coney Island. That said, it’s definitely gotten expensive over the years, and I was disappointed to see they no longer offer combo meals, which made the visit feel even pricier. Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired. We had a question about a lunch package we purchased that clearly stated it included Nathan’s. The cashier called the manager over, and instead of offering any explanation or even a simple “I’m sorry for the confusion,” he abruptly told us, “Not here,” and walked away. If the package is only valid at the Nathan’s inside Luna Park, that should have been explained. A little courtesy and customer service would have gone a long way. For such an iconic flagship location, I expected better. The food was exactly what I came for and didn’t disappoint, but the customer service was below average—even by fast-food standards. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Yeah, of course you have to have Nathan's Famous Hot Dog if you are at Coney Island! So, we did. A little salty but good enough. Also had corn dog and NY Steak and Cheese Sub. Steak and Cheese was saltier than the hot dog. But the corn dogs were excellent, crispy outside but just right inside. I would definitely get the corn dogs again but not the others.

I love eating hot dogs 🌭, but I usually hold back for weight control reasons. However, coming to this iconic place, I finally gave in. The all-beef wiener was a big plus for me. It was easy to see why this establishment is so popular. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.... eating, taking pictures, and soaking in the beach breeze and sunny weather. I was also pleasantly surprised by the prices. I honestly expected them to be more expensive, and the service was definitely fast. Definitely a place that creates good memories.

🌭 A Must-Try in Coney Island! Nathan’s Famous in Coney Island is a true New York classic! The atmosphere is great, the hot dogs are tasty, and it’s a fun experience to visit the original location. It’s one of those iconic places you have to try at least once when visiting NYC. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re in Coney Island. Highly recommended! 🌭🗽

Absolutely best hot dog in NYC! Loved the chilli cheese fries as well. The kids had chicken strips and that was also very crispy and juicy at the same time. For sweet tooth folks try the Oreo milk shake.

The world in general is a rough place, and Brooklyn is just as rough. But it’s made all the better by the likes of Gargiulo’s. I had their Caesar salad and risotto. And to put it simply, it was all authentic in an age of authenticity. And our server was also a really cool cat. I don’t know if I’ll ever end up in Coney Island again, but if I do, I wouldn’t mind making another trip to Gargiulo’s for some authentic Italian food and friendly service.

I have been going to Gargiulo's from time to time my whole life. Graduating dinners from Elementary and High school, Retirement dinners (this last time) and just going on a regular basis. I have always loved this restaurant and I recommend it to everyone, especially now that they have way more parking and valet!!! 😁🫡👍❤️

Gargiulo’s Restaurant was a wonderful venue for a christening celebration. We had the pleasure of capturing both photography and video there, and the experience was excellent from beginning to end. The staff provided great service, the food was delicious, and the space had a warm, elegant feel for a family celebration. One of our favorite details was the beautiful natural light on the dance floor, which made the moments feel even more special and photographed beautifully. A great location for anyone planning a christening, family event, or milestone celebration.

So the food looked good. The bread was decent, the pasta was probably the only thing I would say was delicious. They put a dish of veggies on the table that was flavorless. My pasta fagioli was very much not gourmet at all, it was almost like if you ordered it from a high school cafeteria. I couldn’t eat more than half, I make better at home in 10 mins than that. My mother ordered Chicken Francese, but instead of a lemon wine sauce, they just smothered it in brown gravy. She sent it back. The waiter said that’s just how they make it. I’ve never seen that. I got a chicken Caesar salad. The salad was good, but the chicken had little flavor. As for dessert, I got the coconut ice cream. That was alright but nothing special. I heard the tiramisu was pretty basic as well from the others at my table. The waiter was a nice guy, attentive and entertaining. The owner greeted us at the end, which was nice. Very old school, that. But the atmosphere was a little rambunctious. Not the dining hall itself, but there were 3 proms happening in the other room so the music was blasting and kids kept screaming. The overall experience could have been better. I can’t say I would go back.

Very clean and updated. Price fair not overpriced. But!! I was very taken back when I asked for pasta as a side and it was not available. Not even as an upcharge. If you wanted pasta you needed to order a plate of pasta . I found out that that's the way they've been doing things forever; for me it was not what I expected. There is another restaurant in Brooklyn that does the same thing will not name names but they've been around for 100 years as well ...sorry I won't be going back to that plac. I would love to come back to your restaurant but it would be nice to have a bowl of pasta as a side dish even as an upcharge. I would understand that. The gravy there is what you go out to dinner for at an Italian restaurant. Food was good!

First time back since I moved away 40 years ago and how things have changed! No longer have seating, everything is take out and as always, whole pies only. Place is run down compared to what I remember back in the day and you should call ahead to order. I didn't think of that and had to sit in the truck for 45 minutes for a call when my pie went in oven. Even though things weren't what I expected when I got there, the pizza was absolutely amazing and maybe even better than I remember! Worth the time and effort for a world-class pie that might not be here in the near future. Rumors say they are finally retiring after being family run for 102 years.

Totonno’s in Coney Island is a true NYC classic. The pizza is excellent — you can really taste the quality ingredients and the care that goes into making it. The staff are wonderful, straight-up authentic New Yorkers, which makes the whole experience even better. The old-school atmosphere feels like stepping back in time, and you can sense the history in every corner. This place is a real gem and such an important part of New York’s pizza story. Definitely worth the trip.

Haven't been here in like 15 years and the pizza is still amazing. Currently open on weekends till 530 and takeout only so no eating inside 🙁 but 4 of us devoured a pie in like 5 minutes.

Amazing staff and family. I miss it. The best pizza ive ever had. A few come close but this sits at the top. Ill be back. We used to dine in but cant get a spot anymore. Maybe need new owners, new family like me as latest reviews look like they are getting tired and negative attitudes.

EDIT: i was here with friends and saw / heard a group of 3 girls complain that one of their chicken tenders was raw. The waiter apologized and offered to bring a new meal to them. He was pleasant and upset about it. They obviously wanted an entire free check, which you know because one of the first reviews stated she was annoyed the manager still charged them for their drinks. they enlisted their friends and family to bomb this restaurant in the same review. but again, that’s fraudulent because only 3 girls who were here. Suddenly there’s 10+ reviews about the same chicken. Stan did not ask us to review. We had been having a great time and saw with our own eyes what was happening. We told Stan we would leave a review, we saw his bottle opener and so called him Stan the Man as it says there because it’s silly and fun. This was not some restaurant conspiracy lol just a group of friends witnessing 3 girls try to get a free meal then trash a perfectly fine restaurant with sweet staff. Girls, just move on and stop calling in reinforcements to post fake reviews as they weren’t even here. Be honest original: Stan the Man is amazing, had such a fun friday watching the world cup here. Stan was a great bartender, so friendly and attentive , the strawberry margarita was delicious. Chicken tenders bomb. Come here to hand after the beach and have some food and drinks!

We visited at a pretty off-season, odd time, so it was nice and quiet. The bartender was incredibly kind and accommodating to my little one, which we really appreciated. While it’s not the most typical family lunch spot, the food totally exceeded expectations. The burger was absolutely delicious, and my son loved both the space and his grilled cheese. The place has that perfect sports bar/dive bar vibe—great if you’re in the neighborhood and looking for something casual. I only had a beer, so I can’t fully speak to the drinks, but the service was solid overall. What really stood out was the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the food—we’d definitely come back for that alone. There are plenty of other options nearby, but the price point here is hard to beat. We spent under $40 and left completely satisfied. It was empty when we went, but honestly, more people should give this spot a try.thank you to our bartender 03.18 around 4pm we didn’t catch his name but he understands hospitality and def appreciate his service !

Was walking by and a young lady with blue hair told my friends and I to come in and have some drinks and food. I told her I have personally ate here and food was not good at all and the menu is terrible nothing exciting. The young lady then informed me she was the new chef and to give it a try. So my friends and I came in and brought food and she definitely was correct the food was amazing so much flavor the tacos the burgers the salmon with mashed potatoes was delicious. The red door is the new place to go for me and my friends. That new chef is something they needed. I advise all of use go check out the place and the bartenders are kind and very helpful. Stop in and check it out! Next time I go going to ask for blue hair chef name. Thanks for the amazing food

In an area where they often charge $5 for a bottle of water, IHOP is a welcome option. Welcoming, attentive staff, clean surroundings and comfortable seating. Reasonably priced menu. And fresh, filling food. Not to mention a bottomless carafe of hot coffee. A nice, well air-conditioned restaurant after a hot day at the beach. ♿️

I just moved here from Philly and today was my first time at this location on the boardwalk . Zeynep Was amazing from start to finish; she was patient, kind, efficient and just overall great with customer service. I appreciate that other servers who weren’t even serving me checked on me to make sure I was doing well. I would definitely be coming back to this location.

IHOP could definitely use a few more healthy options, but I went with the veggie egg white omelet and it actually hit the spot. The only other lighter thing I saw was the avocado toast, so choices are a little limited if you’re trying to keep it clean. The music was a little loud for 7am, not exactly the calm breakfast vibe I was going for but not a dealbreaker. The hostess was really sweet and attentive, and service was quick. Food came out fast and everything tasted good. Overall, a solid breakfast, just wish there were more lighter options.

Ok so my fiancé and I came to the cony island IHOP, now we go to this IHOP almost every time but this time in particular was not the same, I had a piece of hair on my plate next to my food, and my fiancé had unmelted cheese on top of his omelet and shredded cheese next to it, he had asked for cheese on his hash brown and did not get it and he also is allergic to strawberries and he has made it clear that he wanted banana slices on his French toast and they ended up giving him strawberry slices with bananas on his toast, this was the first time of it happening probably not come back unless there is a different chef.

Our waitress was great , she suggested a chicken sandwich meal and have it with grilled chicken cause its healthier and taste better. We enjoyed her honesty and patience. Had 2 Margherita and lit with my buddies. It was a vibey place and the music selection was although extremely random and all over the place its fun 🎶🎉 The bartender was so kind and followed up on us and was very kind. Alexis & James was great - wonderful personality and overall a great place to be. Come here for their holiday events. Everyone has such a wonderful demeanor and is welcoming. One of the best places for drinks and entertaining. 1st here and won’t be my last time. Told me the best times for the rides here and was just the best experience you could have here at Coney Island. Don’t bother with the over priced places - come here first and then explore the boardwalk and watch a game.

Every time I’m in Coney Island I try to stop at Margarita Island. Their frozen margaritas are always good and the service is great, even when it gets busy. The place has really cleaned up over the last couple of years and the atmosphere is definitely something I noticed that has changed for the better. They also added TVs in the back outdoor area too and I watched a couple ofthe World Cup games back there. Always a fun stop in Coney Island.

The atmosphere here is one of the best parts. It has a fun, relaxed beach vibe, and there’s always something happening. I love how active they are on Instagram because it’s easy to keep up with all the upcoming events, from Bachata Nights to Friday karaoke and everything else they have planned. Great drinks, friendly staff, and a place that’s always trying to keep things fun. Definitely worth a visit!

Amazing pizza and service. Our whole family enjoyed the pizza here. We tried the meat lovers and the pepperoni. This is a family ran restaurant and they had a great atmosphere. There was a lot of seating for large groups and the service was very fast.

I have heard great things about this restaurant however my experience was not so good. My garlic knots were completely burnt and the pizza was cold & bland. Disappointed overall. It was so bad to the point that my 4 years old niece was saying yuck.

I went to Surf City Pizzeria with a couple of friends, and we had such a lovely time! It’s a cozy and pleasant spot with a really welcoming atmosphere. The place was pretty clean, and the staff were super friendly and attentive. We ordered three wraps, and they were absolutely delicious — plus the portions were huge for only $14, which is such a great deal! The pizza at the table next to us looked amazing, so I’m definitely planning to try it next time. It’s the perfect spot to visit in the summer, but honestly, it’s a great place to hang out any time of year. I’d definitely come back!

I just visited NY and one of the main things I wanted to do on my trip was to have REAL Brooklyn pizza. I had a couple of slices in Times Square and was disappointed, so I was getting worried that it wasnt gonna happen. We decided to spend the day at Coney Island and I asked several police officers where to get real pizza and they sent me to Surf City. When you enter, it is very unassuming and you can tell its a beach place.(You woukdnt expect it to have the best pizza of your life) The staff were friendly and due to them not having pepperoni, I got a slice of meat lovers with peppers and onions on it! Let me just tell you my life is forever changed by this pizza. The toppings were great, but I can in no way do justice to this crust!!!! It is such a great mixture of soft and extra crispy that it must be magic, because I've never experienced pizza crust like this!!! From the moment I took a bite, I literally did not put it down. (In fact I walked down the street eating it) I can tell you, hands down the best pizza ever! I will make a trip back just to eat this again. Please have pepperoni next time though.

I absolutely adore this place. I’ll go on record to say it’s the staple that holds Coney Island together. They have an amazing team that is always ready to accommodate you and treat you with hospitality. I have NEVER received bad service here. I’ve spent some of my BEST spring/summer nights stopping in here. What I love most about Pete’s is the ambiance. The simplicity amazes me year after year. There’s “no self-serve kiosks” or menus on a TV screen, everything is real, personable and authentic. You can come with family and friends, or you can come alone and just chat with the employees. A couple of beers, some calamari, clams, oysters, a fresh fruit punch, hot dog and cotton candy for the kids. It’s a tradition at this point! Great people, great music, great vibes. Every year I’m sad when they close for the season, and ecstatic when I see the gate reopen in the spring! Today, I was told I ordered the FIRST Brooklyn Summer Ale of the season 🥇. Come and get you one today! 😊

The clams were quite big and definitely worth it — $12 for 6 pieces is a good deal. However, the oysters were a bit disappointing. They were $14 USD for 6 pieces, which I don’t think was very worth it. One of the oysters, especially the one on the bottom left, did not look fresh. I noticed the staff showed it to another colleague, and they also seemed unsure about it, but still served it to us. Unfortunately, when I tried to eat that oyster, I had to spit it out immediately because it tasted off.

The service was friendly and helpful, and the food came out quickly. The clams were sooo good 🤤! Oysters, calamari were great, and the funnel cake was just ok. 🚨They will be closing for the season on 10/13 (Columbus day) and they are only opening on the weekends until there 🚨

Stopped by here after the beach with my girlfriend… perfect spot for a beer, amazingly fresh and delicious oysters, and the sausage and peppers on the toasted semolina bun was just phenomenal. Fantastic calamari as well. Great spot in Coney Island!

Decent food for a decent price. Got the chicken and broccoli and cheese wantons. Only thing is that there’s a $15 minimum. So I had to order extra food just to meet it. Who has cash? Anyway, I’d order again. Delicious on a cold, winter day.

Best pizza in Coney Island no questions asked ! My childhood pizza spot and remains to be. I always order to go and never had an issue. The grandma slice, actually all the square slices are special ! Buffalo chicken and pepperoni roll are also my favorites. Only thing to be aware is : There is no bathroom here Not that many tables No music playing 9/10❤️

I ordered 4 zapoose with the sugar and 2 orders were burnt and they covered it up with the sugar. My great nieces and great nephews ate them up unknowingly. I came back and they first said they won't give me but one order back when I started write this review they gave me the second order as well. They did right by their mistakes. I changed my review from 1 to a 5. Great Job You All. Pizza On the Run is an awesome staple of Coney Island.

The best pizza in Coney Island. The grandma slice is to die for, and their regular slice (cheese slice) tastes like old Mew Yrok Pizza. Get it extra hot!! You won't regret it!
