5 Star Rating Weird the line is not as long as it used to be. It was about Saturday around 11am and the wait is 20 minutes for a table of four. Food is delicious as usual. I had the Mexican omelette and definitely get the fries. They have the best fries in America to be honest. We got pancake, egg Benedict and something else. Coffee is like a good old diner coffee in the familiar cup. Service can’t be better. The waiter is full of energy and love the smile. We got our order fast and correct. He gave us extra sauce and refill on coffee. It’s very tight spot and I would just have one person wait inside until the table is ready.

5 Star Rating Tom’s Restaurant was EXACTLY what I was hoping it would be! A cozy old diner from 1936 still serving classic diner food that’s both delicious and totally reasonably priced. The burger and fries were absolutely classic and the fries held up over a long lunch without getting soggy

5 Star Rating I mean.. if you’ve seen two episodes of Seinfeld you need to go here! It’s a bit from everything else while in the city but it’s definitely worth the time. It looks of course nothing alike in the series but the atmosphere is still there. There are some photos from the cast with adds to the feeling. The restaurant itself it very pleasant, we shared a tuna salad and a coffee and it was nice! The staff was very friendly.

2 Star Rating My wife and I have been meaning to check out Cheryl’s for quite some time now, and finally had our opportunity to dine for lunch on a Thursday afternoon. The restaurant was not too busy, it was a lovely day , and they have outdoor seating. As much as we wanted to love the place, we were disappointed. Waited more than 30 minutes for our chicken sandwich and grilled chicken bowl. I overheard another table complain that their burger was rare or almost raw, and sent back to the kitchen. The table next to us complained to the waiter that the chicken in their bowl was overcooked. And the table behind us had been waiting to pay for almost 20 minutes. The waiters were kind and friendly, but the service was slow and the kitchen was disappointing. Lastly, my wife’s chicken bowl was just lacking in flavor. This is SOUL food, and it lacked any flavoring or soul. We won’t be coming back.

5 Star Rating Hidden Gem forshore!!! Beautiful atmospehere. Cozy . Dim. Great place to catch a bite. Food was amazing and cooked fresh to order. Jerk chicken bowl a must try! Staff even down to owner provided amazing customer service. To top it off they make their own hot sauce from scratch with scotch bonnet !!! Yes worth buying a bottle and taking it home. If you are ever in this area definitely stop by!

5 Star Rating After a nearby visit to the Brooklyn Library for a late night exhibit , we (party of two) needed a bite and this place was conveniently nearby. 🥘 Had the calamari for starters with a yummy sauce. Then the burger and fries, and the blackened catfish that comes with mac and cheese and sautéed spinach. Everything was delicious! 🍹 Also tried the Jamaican rum punch. There wasn’t much of a rum kick to us, but it was still good. 🎶 We were lucky enough to be serenaded by Cheryl herself with a live soulful performance while we dined. 🛎️ Forgot our server’s name but he was amazing! Everything was great and we’re looking forward to returning for brunch.

4 Star Rating I had been wanting to come here and I will say it was well worth it! It was everything I thought it would be tastebud wise and more. We started with the Mac and cheese and Country Fried Cajun wings (6 comes with the order). I couldn’t get a picture because the food smelled that good off impact. We then ordered the jerk pork bowl and the glazed salmon bowl with nori seaweed. Both bowls were amazing and hit so many notes for us taste wise. Matched with (2) cocktails of choice, we weren’t disappointed. We don’t normally get dessert but we got the bread pudding. I’m not a sweets person but it was the right amount of tart and sweet (fruit heavy). Service was amazing from start to finish. We will be coming back.

5 Star Rating How is this place not more popular?? Perhaps the best kept secret in Prospect Heights. Already ate about half of the salad before snapping this photo (I ordered mine without croutons) so portions clearly sizable. Delivery always super fast and service dining in is just the same. A favorite.

2 Star Rating Came in this morning with my partner to grab some coffee. I come to this cafe for coffee all the time on my way to work & tell people frequently that they have the best latte in the neighborhood. My partner thought he ordered a latte, but must’ve accidentally said coffee. When I see him go up to politely say something to the guy at the register to switch it out, he rudely remarks how he ordered coffee (looking at my partner like he is stupid for being confused) & didn’t offer to instead get him what he intended to order. Even if it meant charging us the difference. There’s a way to go about honest miscommunications & that’s not it. Both of us are in the service industry & it is so utterly disappointing to see employees interact with guests like that, let alone be on the receiving end of it. What’s the price difference between a drip coffee & a latte? A couple of dollars? We would’ve gladly paid the price adjustment to have what we wanted. Working with guests to give them a happy experience can sometimes be a matter of having a sliver of empathy. Had to give two stars because not even the best latte can save underwhelming customer service. Now both of us are hesitant about coming back and definitely regret leaving the 22% gratuity.

5 Star Rating I place put together some awesome pictures for you all. This was my first time here I went craving a southern comfort meal it was amazing I recommend the cheddar cheese grits shrimp and catfish with the cinnamon waffles it was absolutely amazing. Although I am sleepy now it is very filling. The music was diverse. However everyone was extremely kind and accommodating. Thank you. There's indoor and sometimes outside seating depends on what days you arrive. The food from my point of view is very expensive I took a leap of faith I'm satisfied. It's small yet cozy. There are waits for your food, getting seated at times too. Don't just take my word try it for yourself.

4 Star Rating Good was great! Just moved back to NYC from Miami and this was better than most things I’ve had there. The burrito was filling and tasty. The potatoes had great crisp on them. Will definitely get it again. My wife said “there’s no reason chicken and waffles should be this good.” I had a little piece of the cinnamon waffle and I sure wanted more. The coffee wasn’t all that. But then again. I only got black drip coffee. Otherwise I’m definitely coming back and will be recommending it to anyone who hasn’t been here yet.

3 Star Rating Mediocre food. Certainly not bad but the shredded chicken itself is pretty bland. I don’t think it was marinated. Pretty heavy on the mayo. 3.5 stars for food Knocked down a half star because of the pricing. Post tax and pre tip, a banh mi cost $10.50 (the menu used to list $7.50 and now lists $8.50, so there’s some mystery massive surcharge being added in addition to the tax - and credit card processing is not that expensive).

3 Star Rating A Mexican place run entirely by Asians. Welcome to New York. I had the chorizo burrito. The food inside was ok, the chorizo perhaps a little dry and the tomatoes were watery and flavorless. What pissed me off was the lack of knowledge of how to wrap a burrito (see picture). I would love to watch a Millennial blogger from the Huffington Post lecture these people on cultural appropriation. I paid $8.50 for the burrito and a 20oz coke. A decent price point for this area of BK given the proximity to the park, BK Museum, and income level of the local residents. CASH ONLY - ATM Fee = $1.79

As soon as I opened my entree/Ital Stew+Chicken Curry (also gluten free) with side veggies, it looked and smelled amazing. I dont think my picture does it justice but the dish smelled so good I had to eat immediately. Each side dish was fresh and flavorful, and balanced out so well! The vegan chicken is juicy and so well seasoned. Looking forward to dining in next time. They have a beautiful patio in the back with alot of open sky. I got the large platter it was indeed LARGE. 2 Star Rating I went to Eve's for brunch, with my family. The server was very nice but needed some more training. Being friendly is only a part of being a good server. She went to give us placemats and felt like locking her finger to help separate the paper placemats was the way to go. 👎🏽 The drinks we ordered were good and on point. However, the food was another situation. Me and my daughter both ordered shrimp and grits. My husband ordered fish and grits. Our grits looked more like soup and tasted like nothing. My husband's fish was overcooked crispy on the outside and dried out on the inside. With the soupy grits, we were not given any spoons. I asked the server for 3 spoons and she bought us 3 plastic spoons that she was holding in her bare hands (spoon side in palm) 👎🏽👎🏽 I tried to eat my grit soup with my fork and found chunks of grits at the bottom of bowl. Good thing we ordered the mango wings because if we hadn't, we would have been hungry. The wings were good. Once the server cleared our table, we sat there about 7-9 minutes until we asked her to bring us the bill. Over all I'll say if you want a good drink go here.

A few of the best dishes to highlight: Szechuan Roast Pork Stir Fry -Sweet & smokey roast pork with a five spice and brown sugar blend is perfect for any meat lovers. Plus, the charred red peppers, onions and jalapeños are yummy! House Special Peking Noodle -Sweet dark soy sauce base with salted pork and ginger to be mixed with noodles. The balance of sweet and salty is perfect and the soy sauce egg was surprisingly delicious too. Salmon Tuna Poke Bowl -Big portion of fresh fish with mild Sriracha and kewpie mayonnaise. The kids really liked this one and finished the whole thing. House Special Fried Rice -Highly underrated! The roast pork again is amazing here, and the shrimp and fried eggs really support the fried rice. The service here was quick and friendly. The ambiance is quiet and good for families and kids.
