5 Star Rating I always have the best time at Tom's Restaurant. My only "complaint" is that I wish Tom's were open more hours of the day! But overall Toms is a delight- I highly recommended frequenting here as often as you can and ordering a shake no matter the time or day 💕 Some notes: -Tom's is cash only but they do have an ATM if you forgot your cash - there is usually a line to eat but it generally moves fast. Sometimes I'm lucky and don't have to wait at all other times I'll wait 10-20 mins - love their waffles, french toast, bacon 🙏

5 Star Rating Weird the line is not as long as it used to be. It was about Saturday around 11am and the wait is 20 minutes for a table of four. Food is delicious as usual. I had the Mexican omelette and definitely get the fries. They have the best fries in America to be honest. We got pancake, egg Benedict and something else. Coffee is like a good old diner coffee in the familiar cup. Service can’t be better. The waiter is full of energy and love the smile. We got our order fast and correct. He gave us extra sauce and refill on coffee. It’s very tight spot and I would just have one person wait inside until the table is ready.

5 Star Rating Tom’s Restaurant was EXACTLY what I was hoping it would be! A cozy old diner from 1936 still serving classic diner food that’s both delicious and totally reasonably priced. The burger and fries were absolutely classic and the fries held up over a long lunch without getting soggy

5 Star Rating Wow. Just wow. No other words can describe the experience I just had at Tom’s. Like stepping into a time machine and being transported back to 1942. The pancakes are fluffed and my stomach is stuffed. What great food and atmosphere. Our gracious host even brought us a cream soda on the house! Will definitely be going back soon.

5 Star Rating I popped in for a quick bite. I was craving cooked sushi. The vibes here was friendly and serene. I got the black dragon roll. The woman who took my order was incredibly patient, knowledgeable and kind. The shrimp tempura was crispier than normal, the avocado was fresh and the eel sauce was sweet. I received a generous amount of refreshing pieces of ginger too. The roll was super delightful. I'll be coming here again for that roll specifically.

2 Star Rating The food looked good but the taste didn't match. I usually like this type of shrimp but i was not feeling it at all on top of that the sauce that was given didnt taste good with it. The soup was the worse i tasted it and left it alone. The only decent thing was the bubble tea. However the server was nice and I like how the food was served on a small skillet pan

4 Star Rating My boyfriend and I were looking for some local eats after taking photos in the botanical gardens. Luckily we stumbled upon this spot, it was very cute and cozy. We ordered the crispy chicken sandwich and jerk chicken bowl, it was tasty and filling. I would definitely recommend Cheryls if you are looking for a quick bite to eat while also supporting local small business.

2 Star Rating My wife and I have been meaning to check out Cheryl’s for quite some time now, and finally had our opportunity to dine for lunch on a Thursday afternoon. The restaurant was not too busy, it was a lovely day , and they have outdoor seating. As much as we wanted to love the place, we were disappointed. Waited more than 30 minutes for our chicken sandwich and grilled chicken bowl. I overheard another table complain that their burger was rare or almost raw, and sent back to the kitchen. The table next to us complained to the waiter that the chicken in their bowl was overcooked. And the table behind us had been waiting to pay for almost 20 minutes. The waiters were kind and friendly, but the service was slow and the kitchen was disappointing. Lastly, my wife’s chicken bowl was just lacking in flavor. This is SOUL food, and it lacked any flavoring or soul. We won’t be coming back.

2 Star Rating Came in this morning with my partner to grab some coffee. I come to this cafe for coffee all the time on my way to work & tell people frequently that they have the best latte in the neighborhood. My partner thought he ordered a latte, but must’ve accidentally said coffee. When I see him go up to politely say something to the guy at the register to switch it out, he rudely remarks how he ordered coffee (looking at my partner like he is stupid for being confused) & didn’t offer to instead get him what he intended to order. Even if it meant charging us the difference. There’s a way to go about honest miscommunications & that’s not it. Both of us are in the service industry & it is so utterly disappointing to see employees interact with guests like that, let alone be on the receiving end of it. What’s the price difference between a drip coffee & a latte? A couple of dollars? We would’ve gladly paid the price adjustment to have what we wanted. Working with guests to give them a happy experience can sometimes be a matter of having a sliver of empathy. Had to give two stars because not even the best latte can save underwhelming customer service. Now both of us are hesitant about coming back and definitely regret leaving the 22% gratuity.

This was my first time here I went craving a southern comfort meal it was amazing I recommend the cheddar cheese grits shrimp and catfish with the cinnamon waffles it was absolutely amazing. Although I am sleepy now it is very filling. The music was diverse. However everyone was extremely kind and accommodating. Thank you. There's indoor and sometimes outside seating depends on what days you arrive. The food from my point of view is very expensive I took a leap of faith I'm satisfied. It's small yet cozy. There are waits for your food, getting seated at times too. Don't just take my word try it for yourself.

3 Star Rating I got a grilled pork banh mi, and to be very fair, the pork tasted really good. But I have to gift it 3 stars because it was kinda sad to see how little filling they put in the sandwich, I wish they had filled it up some more. Again, the taste is great, no complaints there. I probably would not come back to this place for banh mi again.

3 Star Rating Mediocre food. Certainly not bad but the shredded chicken itself is pretty bland. I don’t think it was marinated. Pretty heavy on the mayo. 3.5 stars for food Knocked down a half star because of the pricing. Post tax and pre tip, a banh mi cost $10.50 (the menu used to list $7.50 and now lists $8.50, so there’s some mystery massive surcharge being added in addition to the tax - and credit card processing is not that expensive).

3 Star Rating A Mexican place run entirely by Asians. Welcome to New York. I had the chorizo burrito. The food inside was ok, the chorizo perhaps a little dry and the tomatoes were watery and flavorless. What pissed me off was the lack of knowledge of how to wrap a burrito (see picture). I would love to watch a Millennial blogger from the Huffington Post lecture these people on cultural appropriation. I paid $8.50 for the burrito and a 20oz coke. A decent price point for this area of BK given the proximity to the park, BK Museum, and income level of the local residents. CASH ONLY - ATM Fee = $1.79

5 Star Rating Absolutely delicious new Chinese restaurant near Eastern Pkwy - Brooklyn Museum stop. A few of the best dishes to highlight: Szechuan Roast Pork Stir Fry -Sweet & smokey roast pork with a five spice and brown sugar blend is perfect for any meat lovers. Plus, the charred red peppers, onions and jalapeños are yummy! House Special Peking Noodle -Sweet dark soy sauce base with salted pork and ginger to be mixed with noodles. The balance of sweet and salty is perfect and the soy sauce egg was surprisingly delicious too. Salmon Tuna Poke Bowl -Big portion of fresh fish with mild Sriracha and kewpie mayonnaise. The kids really liked this one and finished the whole thing. House Special Fried Rice -Highly underrated! The roast pork again is amazing here, and the shrimp and fried eggs really support the fried rice. The service here was quick and friendly. The ambiance is quiet and good for families and kids. They mostly do take-out and delivery and have some tables inside.
