5 Star Rating We were the only dine in customers. They brought us water immediately. The appetizers were excellent, though I feel the staff is not good at explaining the dishes. The Lamb saagwala is good. I wanted to try new things, so the only known thing I ordered was garlic naan. I can't handle hot spicy food, so I deliberately asked before choosing my food choices.

4 Star Rating Pretty tasty burgers and decently priced considering the area. The retro atmosphere is cute but could be a lot more appealing if the restaurant itself was better taken care of (cleaned). This is an order at the counter restaurant and not a sit down service restaurant however the counter service could be somewhat more customer oriented. Other than that the food itself is this restaurant’s saving grace. A delicious and well seasoned burger paired with crisp salty fries can never disappoint. The bacon and fried egg was a stellar addition. 😋

5 Star Rating Came here for the first time on Sunday evening with my friend and her dog. We sat outside, it wasn't too loud so we were able to chit chat without issue. The staff were lovely and the food was delicious. There was no wait for a table and the food came out quickly as well. Will definitely be back.

4 Star Rating Love this place!! Food is fantastic, and the outdoor seating is beautiful! Service was a little slow, and a few mistakes were made to our order, but there were a lot of people and tables to serve, so we didn’t mind too much. Definitely on the louder side, especially on weekends — can be difficult to hear people sitting right by you. DJs are fun and play decent music. Continually come back to this place, and will not stop.

5 Star Rating Came to for a girls day with my friends and toddler. I was a little nervous at first, but the staff went above and beyond. The drinks were amazing and so was the food. We have not designated this "our spot" which means we will be back very soon. We look forward to trying new items on the menu.

4 Star Rating A nice elevated Mexican neighborhood restaurant in the crown heights / prospect heights area. As we walked in, this place immediately got a line out the door, it gets packed on the weekends! The food was solid. The Plato don Carne was quite good, the chicken imo was better than the steak. The enchiladas mariscos was okay. The shrimp and crabmeat were good. Salmon was an odd choice for a filling. Mole was standard mole, nothing too insane. The pozole was one of the better pozoles I’ve had. The ceviche was fresh and delicious! Salsas were fine and the guacamole was fresh. Overall, I think I would come back and try some different stuff.

2 Star Rating The food we ordered was disappointing. We love Mexican food & I have made multiple trips to Mexico, but this food was blah. The Huevos Rancheros were inedible, and the tacos also tasted off. The best things were the guacamole & homemade tortilla chips, and the quesadillas, but even these were just okay, not great, just okay. Also, the food was overpriced for the area and what you get. Perhaps this place used to be better, or this was an off day. We’ve eaten much better Mexican food in the East Village, our neighborhood. On our way out we noticed they have a “B” sanitary rating, this may explain part of the problem. The plates & glasses were a bit dirty.

4 Star Rating Chavela's is a lovely restaurant which checks many of the boxes. The servers were professional and excellent. The food was quick in coming and tasted amazing. The music in the background was loud enough to hear but not drown conversations. Went on a Sunday around noon, the place was busy but thankfully as a party of two we did not have to wait. I recommend Chavela's.

5 Star Rating Went there for dinner on a Saturday evening and had a great time. The restaurant was full but not too crowded. The music was 90s hip-hop/r&b that I found myself really enjoying. 4 Star Rating Went here with some friends for brunch and was a bit disappointed. For starters upon arrival the restaurant looks closed for the outside , luckily one of the staff members were outside and invited me in. Upon entering, the restaurant is very spacious and clean.( I can easily see this as the perfect venue to throw an event) . I ended up getting there way ahead of my two friends and the bartender took pity on me and offered me a mimosa on the house, which tasted amazing. Once my friends arrived, we ordered a plethora of food ranging from chicken and waffles, steak and eggs, fish and grits along with a picture of mimosas. my friend seem to enjoy their food. However, I thought the food was a bit underwhelming (I had the chicken and waffles). please know this is personal preference and also know that I’ve brunched quite a bit, and this was very underwhelming to me simply on taste. My friends seem to have enjoyed their food and didn’t make any complaints. The service was great and not too long after my friends arrived, so did the DJ. Pros: Very nice vibey atmosphere, especially once the music is going. The staff are very nice and accommodating as they needed to be a few changes made to one of my friends order because she is vegetarian. Although I did not like my food, the portion sizes were really good, especially for the price and they have vegetarian options. CONS: when they have brunch, that is the only thing available to order which sucks because the brunch menu is very limited in comparison to their dinner menu. I do think I’ll return as I do think they’re done the menu is much more appealing to me. It seems like the night scene is where it’s at up in there lololol. So for now until next time as I’ll definitely be back..

5 Star Rating Leah was EVERYTHING—our waitress, bartender, and host all in one! She took our order without even writing it down and nailed it. Drinks? On point. Service? No delays. The atmosphere was pure vibes—grown folks only. We had to head out for the Travis Malloy show, but the DJ was just getting started and it was about to be a whole *vibe*. **All the food was good**—from start to finish. And don’t sleep on the cornbread… cinnamon and butter topping? *Yyyyyyyeeeeeesssss!* The bill for four was more than fair, and the energy at the bar was live—people were laughing, dancing, and just having a good time. Big love to Brooklyn for the invite. We’ll definitely be back. Cause guess what? *We outside!*

5 Star Rating Welcome to the gem of the neighborhood, a bar that’s not just a place to drink, but a destination to unwind! With a menu that’s small but oh-so-dependable, every bite is a delightful surprise. The tap selection is a treasure trove of flavors, and trust me, you’ll want to sample them all over time. The atmosphere is as laid-back as a Sunday afternoon, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the company of friends. This bar is destined to become your new favorite hangout! I’ve only tried the smash burgers and wings so far, and let me tell you, they were absolutely scrumptious. The beer selection on tap is equally impressive, offering a variety to suit every taste. Don’t miss out on their daily specials, like the fantastic $18 beer and burger deal that runs until 7 PM. It’s a steal and a reason to visit every day!

5 Star Rating Ital Kitchen is a delightful culinary experience that brings vibrant Caribbean flavors to life. The food was absolutely delicious, bursting with bold and authentic tastes. I tried the [specific dish], and it was flavorful and perfectly seasoned. Everything was fresh, and the portions were generous, making it well worth the price. The service, however, was a bit inconsistent. While the staff was friendly and welcoming, the wait time for food was longer than expected. It seemed like they were slightly understaffed, but they made up for it with their warm hospitality and positive attitude. The atmosphere is cozy and laid-back, with colorful and eclectic decor that truly captures the Caribbean vibe. The outdoor seating area is charming and a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal with friends. I spent around $20–30 per person, which is reasonable considering the quality and portion sizes. I went for dinner, and I would recommend going early or making a reservation, as it can get quite busy. Overall, Ital Kitchen is a hidden gem with incredible food and a lively, welcoming atmosphere. If you’re craving authentic Caribbean vegetarian cuisine, this is the place to be. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Even the customers who came in after us I thought were friends with the owner due to the comfortable conversation they were having. Amazing place to have something healthy to eat late in the evening. Intimate, warm, cozy, and full with love and gorgeous plants. Mix max colorful caribbean-style decorated spot. We were going to take it to go, but decided to stay and enjoy the lovely atmosphere. 5 Star Rating Neighborhood gem ✨️ I have been coming to this place almost every week. Sometimes multiple times a week. It's my go-to pizza spot. I have introduced 3 people to this place and they are all hooked so it is a tried, tested, and proven best pizza spot in Crown Heights. My #1 go-to is the La-Burrata pie. Thin crust, fresh burrata cheese, fresh basil, and tomato... it all just melts in your mouth. Next, is the Nonna pizza if you're into Sicilian style. Yum! My tip is to get a full pie instead of slices because A) it will be freshly baked. B) much cheaper that way. Their pasta is also really good. The penne alla pesto and fettuccine alfredo are what I have tried so far. I will update when I try more. This place has history and a reputation as a solid pizza joint. Dave Portnoy, the pizza guru, gave this place an 8.1. But I round that up and give it a solid 9. There's enough seating area and Tiffany lamps for added aesthetics and a vintage feel. They also have a memory wall with pictures and notes of people who have made memories in this place. And of course, the Godfather references and an Al Pacino portrait 😉

The cocktail menu is nothing short of fabulous with happy hour specials. Expertly crafted drinks perfectly complements the bold and aromatic flavors of awesome Thai dishes. There’s also a comfy patio for the perfect escape of busy NYC. Request for extra spicy and you get more authentic spiciness with real peppers. The setting is intimate yet lively, making it an ideal spot to unwind. Whether you're out for a romantic date night or catching up with friends, MISC offers a great place with great value while enjoying authentic Thai cuisine.

5 Star Rating Came in by chance and without expectations but now leaving as a returning client. The food was spectacular! My partner ordered the crispy wing with rice and I ordered the crispy duck over rice and it was just full of flavor. Very crispy!!!! Define coming back when in the area.

5 Star Rating I live in the neighborhood and love coming here! The happy hour runs until 8:30, the crispy pork belly basil fried rice was my fav! The green emerald curry is always reliably delicious, too. Amazing service. A gem!
