We were the only dine in customers. They brought us water immediately. The appetizers were excellent, though I feel the staff is not good at explaining the dishes. The Lamb saagwala is good. I wanted to try new things, so the only known thing I ordered was garlic naan. I can't handle hot spicy food, so I deliberately asked before choosing my food choices.

Discovered this gem after moving to the neighborhood. Hands down best Indian cuisine I’ve had. Plus the interior is so cozy and calm, pretty quiet so you can have nice conversation. A great way to end the day 🙌

Ordered take out through ChowNow. The person providing the food over the counter was quick and accommodating. The restaurant itself appeared clean and warm, the packaging of my food was strong, they were clearly doing a brisk take-out business, so good to see/know.
The food unfortunately, wasn't the best. The samosas on this occasion were overcooked 150% (so, dark brown, very hard, and not even slightly flakey), the "thimbles" of sauce were no where near enough for three samosas (FYI, ask for extra). The food (sag aloo, and an eggplant dish) were fine, portion-wise, but honestly both were pretty bland. Needed more salt and flavor in general. The rice was oily, but had good flavor (bay leaves and cardamon pods). The portions / value was really good, but again, the flavor was mediocre.
All in all, I wish I could say that the food was fantastic (especially since a lot of reviews make it seem so), but while it wasn't by any stretch awful, it just wasn't great. I'll give it another go another day, but for a first experience, I personally wasn't impressed. Your milage may vary. If it's convenient to you, it's a fair choice, but I'll still be trying other neighboring spots as well.

This is a bar restaurant with ample outdoor space, the bartenders are very efficient, quick drinks and responsive service. We also are outdoors. Service is similar to a food hall, the waiter does not do niceties, like napkins, cutlery etc. They also seem overwhelmed but the number of tables they are expected to manage. The music was good, a live DJ with great taste!
In the past, Franklin Park was a great after dinner spot with nice music and dancing. The music is still there, but no one was dancing. 🙁

This neighborhood spot is so great. The cocktails are great but don't sleep on the beer menu either. This is a place that feels cool to be at and you feel cool because you're there. The outside area is a communal and jovial time. And the burger is not half bad.

Perfect bar for a night out with a group of friends. Super group-friendly with plenty of space, great drinks, an outdoor area, and tons of TVs for catching the game. The vibe is chill and social—ideal for hanging with your crew and even meeting some new people. Definitely a go-to spot for a fun, laid-back night.

Stroll into either door (Franklin or St. John’s) to enjoy a potent cocktail and satisfying bar food. Nice tap selection. Try the house burger or grab an Impossible. Wings and dipping sauces work fine. Casual vibes with some upscaled decor. Plenty of room for groups.

A nice elevated Mexican neighborhood restaurant in the crown heights / prospect heights area. As we walked in, this place immediately got a line out the door, it gets packed on the weekends!
The food was solid. The Plato don Carne was quite good, the chicken imo was better than the steak. The enchiladas mariscos was okay. The shrimp and crabmeat were good. Salmon was an odd choice for a filling. Mole was standard mole, nothing too insane. The pozole was one of the better pozoles I’ve had. The ceviche was fresh and delicious! Salsas were fine and the guacamole was fresh.
Overall, I think I would come back and try some different stuff.

Chavela's is a lovely restaurant which checks many of the boxes. The servers were professional and excellent. The food was quick in coming and tasted amazing. The music in the background was loud enough to hear but not drown conversations. Went on a Sunday around noon, the place was busy but thankfully as a party of two we did not have to wait. I recommend Chavela's.

The food we ordered was disappointing. We love Mexican food & I have made multiple trips to Mexico, but this food was blah. The Huevos Rancheros were inedible, and the tacos also tasted off. The best things were the guacamole & homemade tortilla chips, and the quesadillas, but even these were just okay, not great, just okay. Also, the food was overpriced for the area and what you get. Perhaps this place used to be better, or this was an off day. We’ve eaten much better Mexican food in the East Village, our neighborhood.
On our way out we noticed they have a “B” sanitary rating, this may explain part of the problem. The plates & glasses were a bit dirty.

- Yo NYC+ how we doing?!
I’m back w/ another review, on this evening joined by my partner we celebrate our anniversary at a completely new restaurant to us, spontaneous much.
This place had an energetic vibe to it off the jump, we definitely did not reserve b/c we didn’t think that far ahead but we highly recommend it! It’s very lively & we were met w/ a short line & a 10 min wait time for a walk in(honestly great turnover rate).
The staff was super generous & flowed like water through the night; super attentive & helpful. The food was absolutely flavorful & good portions for the price ! The drinks were well balanced & crafted w/ love & the desserts topped off the sequence perfectly!
Pay these folks a visit on your free time if you in the area, ya heard?!

The food was ok, but it was missing the authentic Mexican flavors. I read the reviews, and it was mentioned that “this is the best Mexican food in the city.”……I guess people don’t get out much.
The biggest disappointment was the churros; I was distraught. I am an eat dessert first kind of gal, but if I had eaten these churros first, I would have left right after. There was NO crunch, and the middle was oily and soft, two things that are big no-nos when we are talking about churros. I could have cried on the spot, and no, I’m not being dramatic; dessert is my thing. Check out my review before this one if uou want to try an amazing Mexican restaurant, they are my favorite, from start to finish! 🙌🏾
As for service, I felt rushed. When I put down my fork, they grabbed it IMMEDIATELY. I didn’t get the “hey stay have another drink vibe,” instead it’s been 30 minutes you had ONE drink and some food, byeeeee.
It's not the place where I want to have a pitcher of sangria and hang out. I won't be back.

Leah was EVERYTHING—our waitress, bartender, and host all in one! She took our order without even writing it down and nailed it. Drinks? On point. Service? No delays. The atmosphere was pure vibes—grown folks only. We had to head out for the Travis Malloy show, but the DJ was just getting started and it was about to be a whole *vibe*.
**All the food was good**—from start to finish. And don’t sleep on the cornbread… cinnamon and butter topping? *Yyyyyyyeeeeeesssss!*
The bill for four was more than fair, and the energy at the bar was live—people were laughing, dancing, and just having a good time.
Big love to Brooklyn for the invite. We’ll definitely be back. Cause guess what? *We outside!*

Went here with some friends for brunch and was a bit disappointed. For starters upon arrival the restaurant looks closed for the outside , luckily one of the staff members were outside and invited me in. Upon entering, the restaurant is very spacious and clean.( I can easily see this as the perfect venue to throw an event) . I ended up getting there way ahead of my two friends and the bartender took pity on me and offered me a mimosa on the house, which tasted amazing. Once my friends arrived, we ordered a plethora of food ranging from chicken and waffles, steak and eggs, fish and grits along with a picture of mimosas. my friend seem to enjoy their food. However, I thought the food was a bit underwhelming (I had the chicken and waffles). please know this is personal preference and also know that I’ve brunched quite a bit, and this was very underwhelming to me simply on taste. My friends seem to have enjoyed their food and didn’t make any complaints. The service was great and not too long after my friends arrived, so did the DJ. Pros: Very nice vibey atmosphere, especially once the music is going. The staff are very nice and accommodating as they needed to be a few changes made to one of my friends order because she is vegetarian. Although I did not like my food, the portion sizes were really good, especially for the price and they have vegetarian options. CONS: when they have brunch, that is the only thing available to order which sucks because the brunch menu is very limited in comparison to their dinner menu. I do think I’ll return as I do think they’re done the menu is much more appealing to me. It seems like the night scene is where it’s at up in there lololol. So for now until next time as I’ll definitely be back..

Your average Starbucks. Great drinks, service, and interior design. My issue though, is that it's too packed almost all the time. The space is too small and seating is not enough to accommodate the amount of customers.

They skimp on opaque cup beverages. This happens to me frequently here. I order on the mobile app so I can grab my coffee and jump on the train and when I open the cup of course it looks like this. This is a venti. I don't see why they do this or use torn teabags to make the tea. It's always something at this location.

Ital Kitchen is a delightful culinary experience that brings vibrant Caribbean flavors to life. The food was absolutely delicious, bursting with bold and authentic tastes. I tried the [specific dish], and it was flavorful and perfectly seasoned. Everything was fresh, and the portions were generous, making it well worth the price.
The service, however, was a bit inconsistent. While the staff was friendly and welcoming, the wait time for food was longer than expected. It seemed like they were slightly understaffed, but they made up for it with their warm hospitality and positive attitude.
The atmosphere is cozy and laid-back, with colorful and eclectic decor that truly captures the Caribbean vibe. The outdoor seating area is charming and a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal with friends.
I spent around $20–30 per person, which is reasonable considering the quality and portion sizes. I went for dinner, and I would recommend going early or making a reservation, as it can get quite busy.
Overall, Ital Kitchen is a hidden gem with incredible food and a lively, welcoming atmosphere. If you’re craving authentic Caribbean vegetarian cuisine, this is the place to be. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I thought I came over to my family's house to have dinner the way the service was so homely. Even the customers who came in after us I thought were friends with the owner due to the comfortable conversation they were having. Amazing place to have something healthy to eat late in the evening. Intimate, warm, cozy, and full with love and gorgeous plants. Mix max colorful caribbean-style decorated spot. We were going to take it to go, but decided to stay and enjoy the lovely atmosphere. It's not a place for large groups, but a romantic date or hanging out with a couple of friends would be fitting. We can't wait to return and try other dishes on the menu.

This cozy restaurant was like stopping by a family members house for a good home cooked meal. In this case sooooo good. We ordered the Ital Veggie Jerk Chicken and the Thai-Fi Stew. Absolutely delicious, seasoned well, and made with a whole lot of love. Then we ordered the carrot cake. It was so good that we ordered another piece and it was the last piece of cake. We will be back.

Best pizza I had in New York! The service was very quick and the music wasn’t super loud like in a lot of other places. Cozy, convenient, and delicious!
Also, as a tourist I know New Yorkers aren’t being rude when they’re stoic and blank-faced. But it was still very comforting to be welcomed inside with a smile from the woman and man behind the desk. They were very kind to our big group and wished us well on our visit.

The overall experience was enjoyable. However, the setup for ordering a hot beverage was a bit confusing. The two lines—one for bagels and one for coffee—could use better organization.
That said, the plain bagel with cream cheese was excellent. It had just the right amount of cream cheese, making it easy to eat without being messy—a genuinely pleasant eating experience.
The regular coffee was also solid—smooth, not burnt, and satisfying.
Seating was readily available, and it was easy to find space for a group.
I’d definitely come back.

Enjoyed a pumpernickel everything with garlic and herb cream cheese. The cream cheese was great and the bagel was good though I had wished it had been toasted a bit less. Also had a vanilla iced coffee which was fine overall though had a weird aftertaste. It was a relatively quick experience so I would visit again.

I wish I could do a 4.7… Bagel Pub is the only time I eat a bagel. House made products from bagels to the smoothies. Gluten free options! My only thing is way too much cream cheese for me. Might be great for others, but too much for me. If you don’t like cream cheese, ask for less. Otherwise! This place is great! Excellent breakfast or brunch. Employees are kind. Extremely busy, but there are tables outside.
I ordered Fresh Lox #4 w/o jalapeños on a garlic bagel. Peanut butter banana smoothie. Soooo good!
