5 Star Rating I finally made it! And it was easy!! Walked in midweek and allowed to stake my place at any of the counter seats - and there are many. The oyster bar held my attention for a LONG time. The wall board is helpful. Organized by state and locale. The 28 year veteran server briskly and efficiently helped me discover new oyster varieties previously unavailable to this west coast native. I made room for superb scallops and the in-house Key Lime Pie. All the while my counter mates and the server enjoyed a repartee that helped make the experience personal and memorable.

4 Star Rating First day in the City and this was our first stop for a late lunch. There are several different styles for seating but we picked the typical dining area. Our server was great and very friendly - a little difficult to understand speaking fast. We had cream of crab soup and soft shell crabs. Both were very good. The restaurant is pricey but that's probably New York for you. Make sure to walk around the main statio

5 Star Rating We love seating at the oyster bar here. Twice we been her it’s been the same guy and he’s created a great environment and made us laugh. We loving coming here and having their soups especially the Manhattan clam chowder. We in Manhattan why not get their clam chowder. Also I love getting their oyster shooter. It’s a raw oyster with vodka and tomato juice. Great way to start the day. They have amazing soups and oysters here. The bar is a fun atmosphere and great entertainment.

3 Star Rating We were looking forward to eating here but were ultimately disappointed by the experience. Our table of four started by ordering 8 Chincoteague (Virginia) oysters. The presentation was good but it was clear that someone did not know how to properly open an oyster. When you tried to eat it, you were greeted with pieces of the shell stuck in the oyster. I’m shocked I didn’t cut any of my gums. Nearly every oyster had pieces of its shell in it. The cherry stone clam also had shell bits in it. For an oyster bar, you would hope that the oysters would not have pieces of shell in them. We were served bread and sesame crackers to go with our meals as well. The crackers were fine, but the rolls were a bit tough. I ordered a she crab soup and a drink, but the drink never came. The she crab soup was creamy and filling though. Ultimately, this was a terribly mediocre experience and I recommend eating oysters anywhere else.

4 Star Rating you're going to a bar that has a lot of great space for you to lounge in for a quick drink or bite before you jump on the train to your next destination. It is an oyster bar so you're choices are more seafood oriented but the drinks are great and I actually love the casual ambience. it gets really, really packed however so have some patience.

5 Star Rating The food and service were amazing. This restaurant never disappoints. This is a wonderful brunch spot in NYC that is just steps away from Grand Central Station. My 7 yr old daughter loves this spot! You can also grab lunch and dinner here, too. It works great for a quick lunch if you only have a little time in between meetings.

5 Star Rating I’ve been here a few times while visiting NYC. I’ve enjoyed both breakfast and lunch. The menu options are vast, including several vegetarian options. The food is always delicious and the staff always friendly and welcoming. The service is quick, so you don’t have to wait around forever for your food even with a party of six people. I love the location and the restaurant has a very cool vibe. Lots of windows and a large bar area, high ceilings and bright colored walls. A fun place for all ages.

5 Star Rating Great place for brunch! This place is literally across from Grand Central! The food came pretty quickly and was delish. Highly recommend chicken club sandwich and chicken pot pie. Why did i give service 4 stars. One our waiter came by once to ask if everything was good and then returned later to say because of shift change he wanted to introduce the new waiter taking over. The bathrooms were disgusting per my friend and we got there at 12. Another customer complained and they were cleaned. I don’t use public bathrooms too often so not an issue for me. Over all was a good experience.

5 Star Rating Stopped by Pershing Square Café on Friday afternoon for a quick snack and coffee. We ordered a cappuccino, hot cocoa, and a chocolate croissant. The drinks were warm and comforting, and the croissant was fresh and flaky. The café wasn’t crowded, making it a peaceful spot to relax in the midst of the city’s hustle. The ambiance was charming, with its classic bistro feel right across from Grand Central Terminal. Service was prompt and friendly. It’s a great place for a quick break or a casual meet-up. Highly recommend if you’re in the area and looking for a cozy café experience.

5 Star Rating Spend so much time here that I think I’ve tried everything on the menu - especially love their calamari, tuna tartare and duck! Gym is always crowded around rush hour but is mostly empty during the day and on weekends. Rooftop has great seating with views in the summer and tap room is great for getting work done in the winter. Largest club of all the university clubs in NYC and has by far the best interior designs.

5 Star Rating Been a member of the Yale Club for 30 years. Going there is like coming home as you know almost all the staff for a long long time. What’s better is they know you and it just makes it the most welcoming place. Over the years I’ve watched the dress code become more and more relaxed, which is helpful sometimes if you’re not wearing a suit or tie, but if you’re going there, please understand that, although they allow sneaker-like soles ,track sneakers, and sneakers like that and gym attire, etc. etc. are absolutely prohibited and collared shirts are a must and please check your coats and bags. Specially this time of year when it’s very busy and the lounge on the second floor gets crowded. And finally, it’s a very special place, so try and dress and act accordingly and you’ll have the best time!

5 Star Rating ★★★★★ A Honeymoon Dinner to Remember! My husband and I visited Benjamin Steakhouse NYC during our honeymoon from Korea, and it was truly one of the most unforgettable meals we’ve ever had. As international travelers, we were a bit nervous about being treated differently, but from the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warmth and respect. The staff made us feel completely at ease—and more than that, like honored guests. The ambiance was elegant and classic, and the steak was simply phenomenal—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. A special shoutout to our server, Bastri Koskoviku, who was exceptionally kind, professional, and attentive. His service made us feel like royalty and turned our dinner into a truly special memory. Thank you, Benjamin Steakhouse, for being a highlight of our honeymoon. Highly recommended! P.S. The New York cheesecake was great, but if you’re looking for a refreshing finish, we highly recommend ending your meal with the lemon sorbet. It’s the perfect way to wrap up a flawless dinner!

5 Star Rating I had the Porterhouse steak at Benjamin Steakhouse today, and it was absolutely delicious! The steak was perfectly cooked, tender on the filet side and rich and flavorful on the strip side. It’s amazing how you get the best of both worlds in one cut. Benjamin Steakhouse, founded in 2006 by two former Peter Luger staff members, has quickly become one of Manhattan’s top steakhouses. Located near Grand Central Station in a historic building, the restaurant is known for its classic atmosphere, dry-aged USDA Prime steaks, and exceptional service. Definitely a must-visit for steak lovers!

4 Star Rating I recently dined here with a group of ladies and we had a private room. My favorite foods were the calamari (which I must say I have without any sauce for the first time and it was delicious! First restaurant I’ve ever gone to that serves it with peppers only- soo good), mashed potatoes, and Prosciutto Wrapped Mozzarella. The Dry Aged Bone-In Strip tasted better when I heated it on my stove in some chicken broth lol. The waiters were amazing! Would possibly visit again to try the other dishes!

4 Star Rating Nice secret bar in Grand Central area. I just have few hours meeting up friend who works near by so it is not a lot of bar around because the area is mostly office. It took me walking 2-3 rounds to find this place but when I got in it was very crowded. No space to sit at that time so my friend and I just stand at the bar. Looks like lot of people don't want to go back home right after work so they just come to hang out here. Drink is good, confirm by my friend who is martini lover :) So I recommended.

4 Star Rating Their breakfast buffet is top-notch, and the wait is quick! This place runs like a well-oiled machine, thanks to the super-efficient staff. You can be in and out in under five minutes—perfect for busy mornings! Lunch can get a bit hectic with the crowds, but the staff’s impressive speed keeps your wait time to pay under five minutes. It’s a lively atmosphere, and you’ll be ready to tackle your day in no time! One suggestion: it would be even better if they offered sriracha sauce to spice things up! However, a minor criticism is the pricing; for instance, a small box of sushi costs $7.50 but has jumped to $9. A little adjustment there would make the experience even better!

4 Star Rating I was a guest at a very enjoyable business lunch here yesterday. And just now reading a note from the owners I was intrigued that a differentiator about Pera is its Turkish connection. I spent a week many years ago in southern Turkey and just fell in love with it, its people and the cuisine. It is a beautifully laid out restaurant and the service was pleasant. I enjoyed the meze sampler we had as appetizers and the flavors seemed to have a spin on them making them different from many of the kind of 'vanilla' Med restaurants in town. I had a really good seared Scottish salmon over risotto and enjoyed how perfect it was---at least to my taste---crunchy, flavorful, surface, tender, juicy in between (see photo).

4 Star Rating We had made reservations for a table of 6 and this review is specifically for NYC Restaurant Week (2021). We got outside seating on a Friday evening for 6:30 pm on a relatively warm day. We arrived on time and were seated right away. The place was empty inside at that time and outdoor seating was slightly busy with 2 other tables occupied. We ordered a few cocktails and some beer on tap and it took longer for us to get our drinks to us, including repeat orders for beers, which our waitress forgot to put it. We ordered from the $39 per person NYC Restaurant Week menu, which included Assorted Dips Platter, Portuguese Calamari, Hand Rolled Grape Leaves, and a Maroul Salad. The Grape Leaves and Maroul Salad were absolutely delicious and were the best appetizers on the table. For mains, we got Lamb Adana, Organic Beef Burger, and Black Pepper Ricotta Gnocchi. We all cleaned out our plates, and I can confirm that the Gnocchi was absolutely filing and delicious! Our waitress was not attentive at all, but service other than that was absolutely top notch... so giving a 20% gratuity at end did suck a little bit! We might visit again for lunch or dinner!

5 Star Rating Harry the manager/host was so friendly and welcoming. The bar was full. He offered a table for us to have drinks and appetizers. Now this is old school charm. We had a great time! Bobby Van’s is now our go-to spot for lunch, dinner and drinks. Thanks Harry! Food was great! The crab cake was a bit too fishy tasting.

5 Star Rating Everything so good. Spotless place to go with your family or by yourself. Best Burguer I have tried in Nyc. 100% recommended.

5 Star Rating Bobby Van’s is tucked away off of Hemsley Walk, and the entrance is art deco but reasonable unassuming. But it has a special place in my heart. Many years ago I came back into the city after a long work day. Most everything around Grand Central was closed, but I stopped by and found the bar at Bobby Van’s busy and LOUD. The dining room was closing down, but the bartender was extremely helpful and let me order a lobster cocktail and steak to take back to my hotel room. Best ‘room service’ ever. I recently had a chance to re-visit the restaurant. I wanted to sit at the bar, but it was very crowded. Despite a busy night and despite me being a single diner, the front desk staff was very accommodating and found me a table in the main dining room. I had the chop chop salad and, keeping with the theme, a veal chop. The waiter was very friendly and offered me a half portion on mashed potatoes as a side to the veal. Nice touch. Overall I would say the food was ‘good’ but not exceptional, and probably not as good as Keen’s or Smith and Wollensky. BUT, the service (15 years ago and now) at Bobby Van’s is exceptional and beats most restaurants that I have visited in NYC (especially the attention to a single diner, which is rare). Come here for the food, but stay for the service.

5 Star Rating Wow!!!! My boyfriend planned a date night here and wow was it fantastic. Chill vibe, classy but laid back environment. We both had the bone in rib steak which was phenomenal. Neither of us could finish our steaks and we aren’t light weights. The drinks were great and service was exceptional. I had a Baileys coffee at the end of the meal and it was fantastic. The sides were amazing also we had mashed potato and creamed spinach. Left overs the next day were also five star.

4 Star Rating The service was average but has room for improvement. When a guest requests the drinks menu, it should be provided promptly instead of receiving a vague response like, 'We have an open bar, we have anything you want.' A straightforward solution—just bring the menu.
