5 Star Rating Dinner? Reserve a table in the “Saloon” room. Love oysters but don’t know the difference between east and west coast shells? Order the chef’s medley. The servers are extremely knowledgeable- you’ll learn about bumpy and flat edge oysters. Hadn’t been here in a while and can’t recall exactly why I don’t come here more often. This place is not just for commuters. Beer on tap, freshest sea food, great service and an apres work buzz that is quintessential NY. Don’t yell at me please but I had the eggs Benedict over smoked salmon on English muffin🤤….for dinner, yum. Key lime pie is legendary. Next visit, lobster roll. Enjoy

2 Star Rating I’m leaving this in real time because yeah… so to start the waiter was absolutely lovely 1 star but that doesn’t make up for the lack the food was. His oyster selection for the table was solid. So 1 star the other food was okay or nothing to write home about. The lobster roll is the saddest thing I’ve ever had in my life: the bread was good but what they called a pound of meat for nearly a $40 roll was lack there of. I’ve had better rolls in the city. The muscles, don’t even bother. It taste like they were cooked in water with a hint of wine and whatever pinches of seasoning. It took all of my will power to not send food back out of respect for my family visiting us. This was the most over priced disappointing experience. Stick to the New England clam chowder. The food has seriously gone downhill. Also the fact that we asked if we can sub onion rings for fries being a big deal is pretty sad and instead he brought us what is considered a side of onion rings for $10 🥴 this whole situation deserves this emoji 🥴🥴🥴 Kicking myself for not taking a picture of the sad lobster roll. But here we are. Good luck.

4 Star Rating I used to make a pilgrimage here on my annual layovers through the city, and have wanted to get back here since moving here a couple years ago. Sadly they were closed during the pandemic and now only open during weekdays, making it difficult. Happily I was finally able get over here last week though. The oysters are good and they have a nice variety though prices have gone up a lot since my last visit. The clam chowder is also a must. It was nice for the nostalgia though and the architecture is iconic. A good place to bring any out of town guests that are oyster lovers.

5 Star Rating Iconic for a reason! We needed to take the train north of Manhattan and wished for delicious seafood. After walking from the Tenement Museum to Grand Central station, we were hungry…The Oyster Bar was perfect! Start with oysters Rockefeller and order anything on the menu because it’s going to be some of the best food you’ve ever had. We had shrimp linguine (amazing!) and jumbo fried shrimp platter (incredible!) Key lime pie is a fabulous finish! Great service and atmosphere and central location.

5 Star Rating This is a true gem. It's a large place with interesting architecture under the entrance to the grand station. I loved the large selection of oysters. So fresh. Yummm. The kitchen is open and I was sitting on the bar so I have seen the cook prepare their signature soup right in front of me. The soul was creamy, rich and full of sea food. Absolutely loved it. I also had the crab cake which was soft and full of flavor. The waiters serving the bar were nice but I wanted more of their attention I would go there any time I am near.

5 Star Rating We arrived early at the train station for our train so we decided to look for a spot to grab a bite to eat. What a gem of a place. We had a wonderful meal and was able to sit and catch our breath after a long day of walking. It was perfect. The restaurant was dimly lit, very romantic and the food was delicious. I highly recommend this spot.

5 Star Rating Prior to visiting the Summit attraction at the Vanderbilt, my daughter and I were searching a place to have breakfast and found Pershing Square in Google Maps. Once entering, I liked the classical ambiance very much and felt I went back in time. This restaurant fits perfectly under the Arch. To me, it's a landmark! We enjoyed the food and it was delicious! Service was good. The perfect eating spot for those entering or leaving the Grand Central Station. Highly recommended! 👍👍👍

5 Star Rating Gorgeous diner, we were made to feel very welcome. Fast efficient and friendly service - encouraged family time. Always packed and drop ins queue, so booking is essential. We had our first breakfast there after we were married. Highly recommended to eat here while you stay in New York.

3 Star Rating Amazing location and atmosphere, the choice of teas were good. The trapot didn't pour, it dribbled, all over the table. I pointed out to the serve staff that a teapot that can't pour should not be in their collection. They didn't even take it away and bring me a working teapot. I had 3 cups drunk and about the same on the table. The chicken pot pie sounded good and was mostly delicious- the peas were a bit to hard, crunchy for my taste.

5 Star Rating I often grab lunch here and haven't yet tried their dinner, but I gotta say, this place nails it during lunchtime. The vibe is just right and the service is top-notch. Their burgers are a must-try, especially with those crispy fries. And don't even get me started on their Morton steak sauce - it's the bomb on a burger. Pro tip: ask for caramelized onions on top; it's a game changer. Heads up, their medium burgers are more on the medium-well side, so if you're a medium fan, go for medium-rare. Trust me, it's worth it!

5 Star Rating The Wife and I did our annual trip to NYC to check out the tree and all of the Christmas festivities the city has to offer. This year we wanted to try Morton’s. We first were given bread which was served with plenty of butter to go along with it. Next was our entrees, we wanted to save room for a number of sides so we held off on any appetizers. We enjoyed the 8oz Filet, the 16oz NY Strip complimented with bacon wrapped scallops, the creamed spinach, brussel sprouts and smoked Gouda & bacon Au gratin potatoes. The steaks were delish especially when doused with the truffle butter. The creamed spinach was incredible and so were the Brussels sprouts. I thought the potatoes were okay, but I was happy to give them a try. To finish off the meal we enjoyed a few coffees and a crème brûlée to share. It may have lasted 2 minutes. Very delicious. Our waiter was incredible and made the dining experience wonderful. Glad we stopped in and look forward to go back in the future!

5 Star Rating I visited Morton's The Steakhouse while in New York City. Two dear friends treated myself and another dear friend to dinner for our birthdays! The atmosphere was warm and inviting! The ambience was calm and soothing! Our waiter was good! I would have said great but he gave more attention to the table of folks that was spending more money. That's understandable! I'm sure he received a huge tip that night. I just think everyone should get the same service regardless of the money they spend. Morton's presented my birthday friend and me with an individual sized cheesecake with strawberries on top and lemon curd on the bottom. It had a lit candle in the middle! After blowing that out, and diving in, we immediately tasted the deliciousness of that dessert. Then they hand wrote us a nice card with a picture of all of us at the table. That was a genuine, heartfelt touch. Thank you Morton's for your excellent customer service!

4 Star Rating An exclusive club in Midtown Manhattan across the street from Grand Central Station for Yale alumni and faculty. I was honored to attend a networking event hosted by my High School in the Trumbull room. It was a nice event with great ambiance, but I was disappointed with the hors d'oeuvres. They seemed like quick easy to make items with little to no effort.

3 Star Rating Came on a Friday night. It was the last Friday during restaurant week so was packed with people trying to take advantage of the sweet deal like ourselves. The tables were tightly lined up than usual and the server was rushing every dish. He brought the bill and dessert at the same time and as we were trying to have our first bites, he came back to see if we were ready to pay. I recommend going on a weekday or the first weekend if you want to try out restaurant week. The sirloin was great but smaller than normal.

3 Star Rating Ambiance (2/5): the establishment has a bar area to wait or dine. It is darkly lit with high ceilings, loud background noise. It's great for a fancy date night but was hard to converse with the noise. the tables are really tightly nested together. Be careful exiting your seat as the staff bustle around. Service (3/5): I felt like our waiter was not friendly, curt when we had requests, and felt like we were getting made fun of between the staff (in another language). They were speedy in getting us what we needed. Food (3/5): I've had better at other  steakhouses. I was greatly disappointed that I had to send my steak back. For the most part, the dishes were just okay. I'm glad I only spent a flat rate because anything more than what I paid would have been a letdown. We visited during restaurant week for $60 for their 3-course meal. The calamari was lightly battered, generous portions, and tasty! I ordered the ribeye for an extra $25. I asked for the steak medium-rare and it was incredibly rare! I ended up sending it back to the kitchen and it was *not* overcooked and instead cooked perfectly to my liking. I wish that the dry rub/seasoning was a bit more pronounced as I did not want to use their steak sauce which tasted like a shrimp cocktail sauce. The home fries were indeed cooked per my request of well-done with bits with a crunch. It was nicely seasoned, onion-forward and provided a nice side to the meal. For dessert, I had the cheesecake but the chocolate mousse is definitely the right move— it has a crunchy crust made of Oreo crumbles a top light but rich chocolate mousse.

5 Star Rating Everything about this place is perfect. Went there for the restaurant week offer. Appetizers are pretty good, had the soup and calamari. The steak is outstanding flavorful tender and rich, it does not need any condiments. The salmon is also pretty good, melts in the mouth. It's a good alternative for someone who has trouble chewing. Creamless creamed spinach is very good and I loved the cheese cake. Overall, the steak is prepared in a very similar style as Peter Lugers and some may argue it's even better.

3 Star Rating I took the S to get here. There’s two trains in NYC (S & G) where you have to ask yourself: is my destination worth this? Benjamin is not a destination. If you live on the west side, there is nothing about this spot that screams: crosstown local, Uber or S train? That said, it’s a good steak house. Me and partner in crime, Ringo, had the usual suspects here. Nothing was memorable. But was all very tasty. Pro tip: martinis are well made, although it was odd they couldn’t make a Gibson. The service was decent. They didn’t clean crumbs from breads, just left it the whole time. Everything else was standard. Pro tip 2: there’s two locations, one on 40th and one on 41st. Don’t get confused, it’s annoying otherwise. Just the tip: 2 tops will be sitting close to others. For more privacy, ask to be seated on the “bridge or gang plank area” ( I have no other way to describe this) you won’t be next to anyone, but there will be constant traffic going by- worth the trade off IMO. 2 years from now, I won’t remember what I ordered. But, I’ll also remember that nothing bad happened. It’s mid, personified.

The porterhouse steaks (Steak for 2) are a must. The hot fudge sundae is delightful. Not sure how they make the whip cream, but it’s the best! Special shoutout to Johnny and team who always treat us like royalty.
