3 Star Rating There was a lot of hype with this place. I decided to pay a visit for ice cream, as we have had a few cakes from her and it was always delicious. However, they ran out of cones!?!?! How did that happen for such a well known place that advertise how wonderful their ice cream was? As I was paying, my ice cream was already dripping on the table. The service was okay. Lady didn't seem too enthusiastic that we only ordered ice cream, so that was that. Don't think I would come back here for ice cream, but will certainly be back for other desserts.

5 Star Rating We love this place. Every time we come to NYC, we make a stop to Little Italy and visit this place for the desserts. Today, we dined in and decided to get some coffees and some desserts to share. We got two cappuccino's, a cortado, assorted cookies, tiramisu and a fruit tart. The coffees came up first and we were not satisfied. It was biter and wanted to have them redone cause no amount of sugar was fixing it. We brought it to our servers' attention, and she wanted to explain to us how the coffee was made. We explained that we knew coffee and would just want it remade to our liking. She contacted her Manager and he 'approved' it. We can say that the second time it came out, it was great. No complaints. The sweets were all delicious, as always. I would still recommend this place, 10/10.

5 Star Rating Awesome spot in Little Italy. We ordered the prosciutto and fig pizza, along with desserts. All of it was delicious. Felt bad for the one server who was doing everything - taking orders, bussing tables and serving. Took a while got him to make his way around to us but the wait was well worth it. Highly recommend the cannolis, gelato and tiramisu.

4 Star Rating Food and desserts were very good. No wait to enter, we got a seat quickly. Our waiter ignored us, we had to keep getting his attention. When we sat down he gave us the dessert menu and we had to tag him down to get the food menu, then the same to get the dessert menu and check. He never checked in to see if we needed water or refills or anything and the place wasn't that crowded.

5 Star Rating When we come to Little Italy, we always come looking for some Italian pastries, especially cannolis. So, I’m glad we stumbled upon this establishment! We decided to come dine in. We ordered two different pastries from the menu and some coffee. The prices are somewhat steep, for a typical pastry. We also took a restroom break, which is great in the busy NYC streets. We also stocked up on some prepackaged imported snacks. Granted, there is no need to sit down and dine there. For those who don’t want to sit down and dine in, you can also take the gelato or pastries to go. Usually the large outdoor crowd is there to buy their to go gelato. Come in, make a line inside to place your to go order.

5 Star Rating To start things of --> go there on Friday at 1am that's when you will have the best time there but nevertheless it is always a good place to go as my buddies and I used to say "Let's go Home...... Sweet Home!" (It's an insider now). Great drinks and great dancefloor even that you have an option to hang your coats somewhere without paying even tho you take the risk of them getting stolen but I have been there 5 times and they never got stolen. Age range is quite good, normally it's Collage age but sometimes there are some older people too which is okay I guess. The best thing to say is that the bouncer is nice and sensible. I have experienced a lot of bouncers being a**holes and misusing their power. But the bouncers at Home Sweet Home are likeable. Shout-out.

5 Star Rating The restaurant is not the cheapest option, but it offers a beautiful dining environment and delicious Cantonese cuisine. It's a must-visit for anyone looking to experience authentic Cantonese flavors. Many Chinese patrons consider it a favorite and return frequently. While it might be a bit pricey, the quality of the food and the overall experience make it worth the visit. If you appreciate fine dining and enjoy exploring different culinary traditions, this restaurant should definitely be on your list.

4 Star Rating Solid Cantonese showcasing all of the classic dishes. Fast and tasty Chinese in a big and busy restaurant which is knocking out Chinese comfort foods - congee, Chinese vegetable (get the pea shoots) and a wide range of seafood and meat dishes. Notes about scoring: 1 star = Memorably awful 2 star = Not good and would avoid 3 star = Good but would not return 4 star = Recommended 5 star = Incredible and must visit if you can

3 Star Rating 20 years ago, this was one of the better, of the rare Vietnamese spots. This was when non-Asians thought Vietnamese food was Panda Express. Yeah, you did - Karen. It’s rather pedestrian these days, but still solid. No longer a destination, but if in the hood- it’s a relatively cheap option. Prices have practically doubled since I first came here, but so has almost everything else in the city/ world. Price to portion: standard Destination: no Repeat offender: only when I’m in the hood and the craving hits

She said it's the perfect way to introduce a new person to pho. She was not wrong. The food was delicious. The plate of veggies was a giant heap of fresh herbs, jalapeños, sprouts and lemon. Springrolls appetizer was crispy and not greasy.

4 Star Rating My friend and I went to this Vietnamese restaurant for lunch. He recommended me to watch here because he's been a customer for years The service was fine at first but when we got food and later when we had some of it and wanted to have more vegetables (side dish for pho) the waiter asked us "what's the vegetable for? We're going to charge it" my friend said "Okay, just bring the vegetables, we wanted to have it whether you charged it or not" If the waiter just said "that's an extra charge" it'd be better response when costumers came to support the business and spent money on the food The food was good nothing to complain about it

5 Star Rating This was my first experience at a vegetarian only restaurant. I was very excited to try it and looking forward to the tasting menu experience to be able to try many dishes. Each course was smart, creative, tasty, and filling. I didn’t miss the meat at all! I had a seat at the counter so I enjoyed watching the talented chefs cook during my meal. Check it out if you enjoy vegetarian dining. But don’t miss it even if you aren’t strictly vegetarian.

5 Star Rating Amazing staff and even better food. We got to sit at the chef table and watched them prepare the dishes which was a fun experience. The courses were amazing and I was blown away by the chef treats. The standouts for me were the artichoke and the lasagna. Also the cocktails hit the spot, I thought the tamarind and ginger drink was amazing. Overall I highly recommend, i love finding nice places to bring my vegan girlfriend. One of the better plant focused restaurants I’ve been to.

4 Star Rating This was our first vegetarian menu and we all loved it. The tastes were delicious and new to several of us. The atmosphere was fun and energetic but not too much to make us feel like we’re in a scene. The wine selection was superb and we shared a bottle that was exactly what we asked for. The only downside of our adventure to Dirt Candy was the staff. 1. Having these reservations a month in advance and knowing the dietary restrictions there were, the kitchen should have been more accommodating in providing a selection to replace something for the one allergy in our party. The staff was very adamant that they would only allow a substitution of one of the other courses in the problem dish. While we understand the chef didn’t want to put something out she wouldn’t like or isn’t good, the allergy and restriction was know again, a month in advance. 2. Our servers were S A S S Y, and not in a catty enjoyable way. But making jokes that a long-time friend would make. The first being a comment made about “This isn’t my first time.” When we were just trying to get reassurance for the allergy in our party. And the other was a really unneeded comment about the white dress our party member was wearing which was referred to as “I love your wedding dress” or something along the lines. Tone, time, and place all matter. Other than the service, the food and atmosphere were a hit.

5 Star Rating After getting our schedules aligned, a friend and I were finally able to check out Dirt Candy. I have been following them before there was any inkling of me ever living in NYC and I was so excited to finally go and the experience did not disappoint. Service was absolutely amazing from the moment we arrived. Staff was informative and attentive without being intrusive. I asked a question about a dish and when they didn't know the answer they went and asked the chef. Now let's get to the food. If you follow their Instagram everything they make is absolutely gorgeous. As for taste? I don't have the words to even begin describing the culinary adventure they took us on. They started with the familiar flavor of cucumber but served it in a fun and imaginative way. Each course that followed was somehow even better than the last and got more adventurous as it progressed. The meal was 5 courses with 3 amuse-bouche sprinkled throughout. The star for me out of the savory dishes was the romanesco (4th course) it was fried to absolute perfection while still being maintaining it's integrity (no mushy vegetables here). I loved that it had flavors near and dear to my Mexcian heart but served in such a unique way. Now dessert. Not going to lie, when I read a dessert banh mi with bok choy and Sriracha merengue I had my doubts. Buy oh Dirt Candy made me a believer! It was absolutely insane! None of those ingredients scream dessert to me but they did it. It was the most adventurous and innovative course of the night. My fried and I have decided we will be going every time they change out their menu. Almost forgot, cocktails are amazing! This place is well deserved of its Michelin star.

3 Star Rating This is a typical hotel lounge and restaurant - not really anything to boast about. The decor was somewhat confused for a restaurant serving mostly Asian fare - it was a bit tiki lounge meets sports bar. My friend and i got there on the later side of the evening, and there was only one other table occupied. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The portions, although well made, were a bit small for the prices. We enjoyed our time there, and we were allowed to linger over our table until closing time. All in all, I would rate the place as a pretty run of the mill hotel restaurant, but with a very kind staff and decent food.

2 Star Rating Subpar service. Waiter was not familiar with the menu, couldn't tell me when the fish is shipped in, and had to redo my order because they were out of items. Also took them 45 minutes to serve me edamame (I think he forgot). I was one of 2 tables being served in the restaurant. Tuna was good, yellowtail and salmon were "fishy" (apparently not stored/handled at proper temperature). I won't be back.

4 Star Rating Zest Sushi is a cute casual spot located in the lower east side. Possibly the best sushi happy hour deal I have seen in Manhattan, with a wide variety $6 rolls, appetizers, mini dons, fried rice, and drinks! You can find this deal every day between 4:30-7pm. The sushi is decent for the price, and service is decent as well. Just note, they don’t take reservations and it is walk-in only, so if you want to take advantage of happy hour, you should get there at least around 6pm, with an anticipated 30 minute wait. If you are super picky about your sushi, I wouldn’t recommend this place for you, but otherwise, Zest Sushi makes for an affordable dinner out!

We were seated immediately and service was fast after ordering. Everything we ate was good and if you like soup dumplings, this is the place for you. I enjoyed how it was right off the street, but it was quiet inside. There was a bathroom which was clean, but the steps to get there are a little steep for those with mobility issues. Personally, one of my favorite things was the boba tea I got because in my opinion they make it better than some other places I tried in the same area. Waiter stayed out of the way but was available when needed. Would eat here again.

4 Star Rating 1. The food is decent, I would only recommend the soba and nothing else. The Stamina Don is not a “Powerful Bowl Dish”or “Gut-Busting, it is bland and not spicy. 2. The portions and taste of the appetizer was not worth the money to try. 3. The service was excellent, they rearranged the seating for our large group in a small restaurant. 4. The atmosphere was nice and homey, on busy days it can become crowded.

5 Star Rating First and foremost, this place is cash only! My friend and I entered on a chilly April evening and immediately ordered their Gyokuro green tea to warm up. I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty their veggie gyoza was (#2 on my top list for gyozas). They had a gingery flavor and did not taste like the basic ones you may find elsewhere. Now for the entrée, I got the vegan mera mera soba, and honestly, it's worth the hype. Delicious and savory broth with a great mix of vegetables complement the warm soba. Overall, a cozy vibe. We got the green tea affogato for dessert, and I don't regret that we each got our own. Pouring the green tea over the red bean, mochi, corn flakes, and green tea ice cream was fun to watch, and the tea acted as a flavoring for these dessert bases.

5 Star Rating Super cute ramen spot with a ton of veggie options. I got the dip soba and it was delicious and also made eating it fun. It was nice and hot to the very last bite! This is definitely now my go to spot for ramen and noodle soup!

5 Star Rating One of the best ramen I have ever had! We tried the Vegan Ramen & the Vegan Mera Mera Soba. If you like some spice in your life and want to feel some zing then don’t think twice. Just keep some cash in your pocket and order the Vegan Mera Mera Soba (it’s damn good!) If you prefer less spice, go for the Vegan Ramen. It is also really good. However, for me hands down it’s Vegan Mera Mera Soba. And yes, don’t forget to carry cash (cards not accepted)

2 Star Rating Soba noodles were decent, however $20 price tag was detached from reality. No sides were included to help justify the valuation. Too add insult to injury they charged me extra on top of the $20 to increase the spice level.
