An excellent pub in Brooklyn Heights. The bartender and entire staff are on point, swift and smart. The food is good pub fare, I had the fried chicken sandwich, and while a bit dry, it hit the spot. I’ll be back as often as I can for this staple in NYC pubs. Nachos are great!

The girlfriend and I weren’t terribly impressed with this place. All the food we got was not in line with what we had expected. We were especially disappointed by the chicken tenders, which were nothing like the stereotypical chicken tender you’re going to get anywhere else. They’re battered with tiny (I mean tiny) slivers of chicken. Don’t think we will go back if we are craving bar food of any kind. Fried pickles were decent though.

Pub in Brooklyn. It is truly a Pub with big choice of draft and can beer. We got roast beef sandwich that supposed to be with the gravy and it was so dry and beef was so old not fresh at all plus fries was so saggy and greasy. Not good experience for bar food. I guess this spot is still good to hang out with friends and get a beer but food make sure you go somewhere else.

Had lunch here with my son and husband. The meals were wonderful, the salad I had was flavourful and they even gave me the recipe for the dressing. Good selection of beer. Really cool vintage touches throughout the bar.

Great little watering hole with a surprisingly strong food offering. It looks like the normal pub-grub on the menu (burger, fish and chips) but was all really high caliber and freshly prepared. We were there on a quiet Sunday afternoon and it seems to be set-back far enough from the Dumbo tourist crowd to avoid being packed out, which is a shame for them but makes it a bit of a hidden treasure.
Excellent beer options and friendly staff too.

Some of the best desserts I’ve ever had, loved their tiramisu and chocolate espresso cake.
The entrees and appetizers were a bit lacking on their New Year’s Eve menu, I think they are known for their pastas so will come back to try their pastas in the future.
Cash only.

I loved the mushroom pasta, and the ambiance. The garlic bread with spicy sauce was a great treat, at the same time crunchy and fluffy. The swordfish tasted really good, but it was a bit dry. The staff was friendly, but slow, very clearly overwhelmed by the number of customers.

Definitely worth the trip, although not a 5 star. As everyone noted, this is CASH ONLY. Before 10pm, nearest ATM is 5-10 mins, after 10pm it's 10 mins so do bring enough cash for a good tip.
We went without a booking at 9pm for 5 people. Indoors did have an excellent vibe but we were starving so were happy to sit in the outside covered section without waiting 40 mins. Even in December at 9 degrees (European) with the heater at the back it was definitely not even needed for jackets.
Front of house is amazing, so friendly and chatty. As we were outside, getting attention or staff became tricky but everyone was very nice when we did.
Despite it's reputation, we went for the garlic bread with homemade chilli oil, which is 100% a winner & still sad we didn't buy any. Do save some if you get pasta to mop up the juices as it went so well with the lasagne. The cacio e Pepe with asparagus & egg yolk went down very well, and the wine selection isn't outstanding but decent enough.
We skipped dessert but everything looked great. I'd 100% recommend this as a safe, delicious, and fun bet for a group dinner. Would definitely go back.

Love Noodle Pudding. We had dinner last evening and nothing disappointed us! The razor clams and mussels were delicious as well as other appetizers. Entrees and desserts perfect, The service is friendly and professional without being over bearing. Atmosphere is cozy and unpretentious. Not many restaurants like this left in NYC.

Great diner we visited before we set off on our walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. Struggled to finish my Park Plaza special of 3 pieces of French toast with eggs, bacon and sausage. Lots of coffee being brought round as well
Staff were super friendly and chatty, completes the American diner experience. As it’s out of Manhattan, more space and a slower pace which is a nice change

My husband says he likes this place better than Clark’s because this place “doesn’t try to be pinky up” 😂 So that’s the vibe - not trying to be nice.
Food is good, service is friendly and homey. Good portions, good prices (slightly cheaper than Clark’s - came out $6 cheaper for breakfast for 2). Will definitely come back.

Nice clean place. The food is good, the people are friendly.
I'd have given it 5 stars except for that I was asked 3 times how I want my burger and told them 3 times medium rare, and it was brought out almost well done. For 18 bucks a burger, they should make it right. I didn't say anything or send it back because I don't believe in that, and I gave a full tip, but no 5 star because they should not ask 3 times how an order should be done then do it wrong anyhow. If that were a steak, I'd be writing a different review. But I definitely recomend this place, it is perfect for it's location and I'll be going back again for sure.

Had a lunch at Park Plaza, it was very good.
Took a New Yorker Burger with a veggie steak and that was the best veggie steak that I had in a restaurant.
Also, people were so nice with me.
Thanks !

Central location with lots of booths and tables. I got the farmers omelette which came with home fries or French fries. The server recommend their home fries as it’s the most popular. However, I found it underwhelming and plain- potato was under seasoned and not very fresh. The omelet was decent but nothing extraordinary, typical of a diner. The coffee was mediocre. Overall, I thought the food and service were okay.

I have been eating at Henry’s End for many years and it’s one of my favorite places in Brooklyn Heights. I come for Brunch, lunch and dinner often - the food is excellent and the staff is friendly and I always enjoy the vibes. I love that at brunch they have a new donut they fresh make every day. For brunch I love the French toast and the Egg Torta, and the fried chicken sandwich is delicious too. I love the unique dinners, different types of game like duck and elk chops and other dishes you don’t see anywhere else. This place is family owned and has been in the neighborhood for years, I see some people are leaving 1 star reviews who have never been here and I am someone who has and I truly have always enjoyed my experiences here and would recommend to anyone else

Consistently delicious food with meat centric menu and amazing service.
They are famous for their game dishes and my antelope steak with potato gratin was 10/10! The red snapper was also great - nicely flaky and well seasoned.
Though it is definitely a place to try all those exotic meats like elk chops, bison, boar end even a turtle soup.
They have great wine selection. I was impressed you can get a glass of 1970 Medoc Bordeaux for $25 only - in most places you'd have to splurge for a bottle.
The grilled vegetables with polenta and mushrooms salad were perfect apps and also above expectations.
Try not to get stuffed on the fluffy bread in the very beginning!
The ambiance is very casual, though it could easily be a place for a special occasion. They are pretty full every day, so definitely make a reservation at least 3-4 days in advance.

Beyond happy and grateful I found this place. The food was exceptional, my drink was splendid! ( If you have the chance to visit get the margarita… still dreaming of it 🥰 ) I had the burger… SO SO GOOD!!
Two regrets on my end… not getting a burger to-go and not asking the owners if they ship food all they way here to California!
Being stranded for the holiday in Brooklyn had a silver lining because I stumbled across this wonderful restaurant and staff. They made me feel at home, like I was family. Thank you 🩷
Many blessings to you all and happy holidays!
( But seriously? Do you ship to California? 😁)

My favorite brunch spot in Brooklyn Heights! The staff is so friendly, kind and make you feel at home. The food and drinks are excellent. I love the burger, egg torta, chicken sandwich, salad, grits….ok I love everything on the menu 😀. Don’t skip out on the fresh doughnut.

Great spot if you’re hanging around in Dumbo! Quality food that feels like someone’s parent made it for you from scratch at home. Good choice if you’re traveling solo and looking for a bar meal for one (thanks Andrew)! Lots of options on entrees and definitely pair up with a side or starter for a full meal! Cheers!

A delightful and delicious spot for coffee, cocktails, and meals at all times of day. They have a great selection of paninis and soups for lunch. If you want a drink, try their signature cocktail that comes in a pineapple shaped glass.

I’ve been here three times now (once for a quick office event coffee+bagel pickup and twice for happy hour outdoor seating). I prefer the sidewalk seating over the backyard, but there isn’t always service for the front sidewalk (which isn’t too big of a problem). While the vibes are nice and worth visiting itself (bc they host events on occasional evenings which I look forward to going to), the food imo is nothing to rave about. Nice casual food serving as a local neighborhood joint. Would definitely come again.

I recently visited the Vineapple establishment and had a wonderful experience. I decided to celebrate my birthday with brunch at this restaurant and it did not disappoint. The food was delicious, and we ordered the Breakfast Sandwich with bagel, the Burrito, and cappuccino, which were all fantastic.
The service was excellent too. Additionally, Vineapple has great opening hours, which makes it a perfect spot for a quick breakfast or a leisurely brunch on weekends.
Overall, I highly recommend Vineapple. The quality of the food and service are outstanding, and the ambiance is perfect for a relaxing morning or afternoon. I definitely plan on coming back again in the future.
Júlia Belinatti - 10 months ago
When we got to Vineapple, it was initially confusing if we had to wait to be seated or could do so on our own, and if there were servers. Also confusing if the cafe drinks were still being served due to divider in front of the cash register, yet people were still buying drinks. Admittedly seemed like the one in charge of the drinks wasn’t having a great day - left a friend’s hot chocolate on the side to get cold (they weren’t aware if the servers brought out the drink or if they had to wait), declined to make an hot drinks with the espresso machine, and had an overall miserable vibe.
Otherwise, drinks and food were great. Very shareable amongst friends.

Really cute coffee shop with excellent food in Brooklyn Heights. Seating was ample and it wasn't too loud despite being crowded the morning I went. The sandwich I ordered was delicious and the servers were extremely pleasant and just the right amount of attentive.

If you like a crispy slice then look no further! Great low-key little place serving some really solid pizza. I’d give it 8/10. The base is just special. It’s almost like fried toast in its texture but still keeps that fresh doughy flavour. The topping and sauce is a little forgettable but sprinkle it up with plenty of added seasoning and enjoy that crisp!

Don’t listen to Owen. This place has a top notch slice. Solid thin crust with a fresh sauce and not too greasy. One bite: 8.2.

Fascati -- The first time I went was so long ago but it is still as good as ever. Old-school New York pizza at its best! Although Gourmet Pizza on Clark St used to be better.. years ago.

I have been coming here since I was 6 years old! Have taken my college friends here! Been back and forth in the military and still get pizza from this memorable place! Amazing manager and the workers too!

A limited selection, pretty much just plain pizza and some toppings. Fascati makes a near flawless regular slice. $3 and no flop at all. The dough is perfect, as well as the sauce. The sauce is flavorful, not too sweet. The cheese tasted a bit weird at first but I think it may have been a fluke. Overall, this pizza is wonderful.

I came here for an after wedding dinner. As soon as you walk in the bartender at the bar greets you with a friendly welcome. You’re seated faster than most places. The atmosphere is perfect for a date night. The lighting is not too bright and the music is not too loud so you can actually hear who you’re talking to. I had the linguine with fresh clams. The pasta was cooked to a tender texture. Personally, I prefer a little bit more flavor to my food so I had to sprinkle on some salt and pepper. The desserts are delicious and provide a nice ending to your meal. Overall, it was a great experience not taking into account our waiter repeatedly asking us if we wanted to purchase a bottle… Like three times to be exact.. All good.. I still recommend this spot.👍🏼

New Date: June 27th, 2019-
Well here we go again, back at our favorite place celebrating my best friends brand new chapter in life - 30 years old. When we decided to go back we said we would get the same dishes we ordered last time - Salmon and Clam linguini because they were absolutely delicious.
Then I saw the Chicken Piccata and couldn't help myself, had to try something new ::insert mind blown GIF:: Little did I know the chicken picacata would turn into my new favorite dish here. The chicken was beautifully laid on a bed of greens, potatoes and a mouth watering lemon / caper sauce. That sauce was so good, not one drip of it was left behind. Only reason I didn't pick the plate up, put it to my face to lick the rest of the sauce is because I actually have some table manners. Lol
The clam linguini was just as good this time as it was the last. This place never lets me down. The service is good and chill. Great location just minutes away from the Dumbo water front.

What an awesome restaurant. It’s a bit away from the tourist traps off the Brooklyn bridge but is a short walk from the bridge and the food was great. The cocktails were awesome. Seshank, the bar tender had a magic touch and every drink we tried was just perfect. Definitely coming back here again.

The food is not bad, but it is definitely hyped up as I saw nothing special about this place.
Came because the place was recommended to me by a local friend, but you can honestly find food like this in any of the diners near where you live.
The vibe is pretty classy for a diner however.
Service is what makes up for the average food—all the waiters greeted me and my company with a smile and seated us right away despite their busy tasks.
Not a bad restaurant—would recommend that you go for a quick brunch with a close friend or a date if you happen to be nearby or are a resident in Brooklyn. I just personally wouldn't bring myself all the way here just for the food 🙂

Ignore any negative reviews - this place is awesome. Great staff, great prices and delicious sushi. We stayed six days in lower Manhattan and took the subway over to Iron Chef House twice. Nicely decorated for Christmas with traditional Christmas music playing. The Monkey Roll was SO good. We limited our selections to their sushi rolls. If we were locals we'd keep coming back regularly.

The greatest of the great - for $5.05 and in 50 seconds flat, you can get the best falafel pita sandwich of your life, packed with incredible baba ganoush and hummus. This is what Brooklyn used to be and, thank goodness, this one spot hasn’t changed for decades. The baklava is also outstanding.
