We sat outside for a quick lunch. The server was friendly and checked on us several times. Good beer selection and the nachos were awesome.

An excellent pub in Brooklyn Heights. The bartender and entire staff are on point, swift and smart. The food is good pub fare, I had the fried chicken sandwich, and while a bit dry, it hit the spot. I’ll be back as often as I can for this staple in NYC pubs. Nachos are great!

The girlfriend and I weren’t terribly impressed with this place. All the food we got was not in line with what we had expected. We were especially disappointed by the chicken tenders, which were nothing like the stereotypical chicken tender you’re going to get anywhere else. They’re battered with tiny (I mean tiny) slivers of chicken. Don’t think we will go back if we are craving bar food of any kind. Fried pickles were decent though.

Pub in Brooklyn. It is truly a Pub with big choice of draft and can beer. We got roast beef sandwich that supposed to be with the gravy and it was so dry and beef was so old not fresh at all plus fries was so saggy and greasy. Not good experience for bar food. I guess this spot is still good to hang out with friends and get a beer but food make sure you go somewhere else.

Lovely place to stop by, I haven't had the chance to take a table but we sat at the bar and it was very convenient. From the Guinness and the fries everything delicious. Even though we had some difficulties with paying the bartender was very polite in hinting us how to pay properly

Some of the best desserts I’ve ever had, loved their tiramisu and chocolate espresso cake.
The entrees and appetizers were a bit lacking on their New Year’s Eve menu, I think they are known for their pastas so will come back to try their pastas in the future.
Cash only.

I loved the mushroom pasta, and the ambiance. The garlic bread with spicy sauce was a great treat, at the same time crunchy and fluffy. The swordfish tasted really good, but it was a bit dry. The staff was friendly, but slow, very clearly overwhelmed by the number of customers.

Definitely worth the trip, although not a 5 star. As everyone noted, this is CASH ONLY. Before 10pm, nearest ATM is 5-10 mins, after 10pm it's 10 mins so do bring enough cash for a good tip.
We went without a booking at 9pm for 5 people. Indoors did have an excellent vibe but we were starving so were happy to sit in the outside covered section without waiting 40 mins. Even in December at 9 degrees (European) with the heater at the back it was definitely not even needed for jackets.
Front of house is amazing, so friendly and chatty. As we were outside, getting attention or staff became tricky but everyone was very nice when we did.
Despite it's reputation, we went for the garlic bread with homemade chilli oil, which is 100% a winner & still sad we didn't buy any. Do save some if you get pasta to mop up the juices as it went so well with the lasagne. The cacio e Pepe with asparagus & egg yolk went down very well, and the wine selection isn't outstanding but decent enough.
We skipped dessert but everything looked great. I'd 100% recommend this as a safe, delicious, and fun bet for a group dinner. Would definitely go back.

Very nice Italian place with good quality and options for food. There is no reservation and they only take cash. Everything that we order was tasty.

I love a restaurant that is old school and completely consistent. That's hard to pull off. This is a very busy neighborhood joint that's like taking a trip back in time. A good trip back in time.
The waiter made us laugh when we asked about their cocktails. He said don't ask for anything that you couldn't have ordered in a bar 25 years ago.
The food is comforting and generous. The service is excellent.

I enjoy coming to this diner for breakfast and lunch. I love the omelettes and their homemade french fries. For lunch, they have some really nice salads which are fresh and have great ingredient combos.
The inside is very comfortable with mostly booths and there is also an outside patio which is really nice in the warmer weather. The staff could not be friendlier or more attentive.

The food at this restaurant is delicious and offers good value for the price.
However, the service leaves much to be desired. During my visit, I ordered a coffee refill twice, but the server forgot it both times. Instead, the server sat at the bar doing nothing.
This significant lapse in service was disappointing and detracted from an otherwise enjoyable dining experience. Improvements in service reliability and attentiveness would greatly enhance the overall experience for patrons.

Had a great time here. Didn't really have a meal. But the caramel cheesecake was amazing. Bathrooms need a little more work though. Great experience here overall.

Great diner we visited before we set off on our walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. Struggled to finish my Park Plaza special of 3 pieces of French toast with eggs, bacon and sausage. Lots of coffee being brought round as well
Staff were super friendly and chatty, completes the American diner experience. As it’s out of Manhattan, more space and a slower pace which is a nice change

I have been eating at Henry’s End for many years and it’s one of my favorite places in Brooklyn Heights. I come for Brunch, lunch and dinner often - the food is excellent and the staff is friendly and I always enjoy the vibes. I love that at brunch they have a new donut they fresh make every day. For brunch I love the French toast and the Egg Torta, and the fried chicken sandwich is delicious too. I love the unique dinners, different types of game like duck and elk chops and other dishes you don’t see anywhere else. This place is family owned and has been in the neighborhood for years, I see some people are leaving 1 star reviews who have never been here and I am someone who has and I truly have always enjoyed my experiences here and would recommend to anyone else

Consistently delicious food with meat centric menu and amazing service.
They are famous for their game dishes and my antelope steak with potato gratin was 10/10! The red snapper was also great - nicely flaky and well seasoned.
Though it is definitely a place to try all those exotic meats like elk chops, bison, boar end even a turtle soup.
They have great wine selection. I was impressed you can get a glass of 1970 Medoc Bordeaux for $25 only - in most places you'd have to splurge for a bottle.
The grilled vegetables with polenta and mushrooms salad were perfect apps and also above expectations.
Try not to get stuffed on the fluffy bread in the very beginning!
The ambiance is very casual, though it could easily be a place for a special occasion. They are pretty full every day, so definitely make a reservation at least 3-4 days in advance.

Beyond happy and grateful I found this place. The food was exceptional, my drink was splendid! ( If you have the chance to visit get the margarita… still dreaming of it 🥰 ) I had the burger… SO SO GOOD!!
Two regrets on my end… not getting a burger to-go and not asking the owners if they ship food all they way here to California!
Being stranded for the holiday in Brooklyn had a silver lining because I stumbled across this wonderful restaurant and staff. They made me feel at home, like I was family. Thank you 🩷
Many blessings to you all and happy holidays!
( But seriously? Do you ship to California? 😁)

We have been going to Henry's End for over 30 years and have always had amazing meals. The owner, Mark, and the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. My son just moved to the area and we celebrated their engagement. Food was outstanding and made our night so special with all the extra effort on our personalized desserts. There is a reason they maintain great reviews all these years. Highly recommend!

I didn’t expect to find kindness in this bustling and busy city, but tucked away just a mile from my hotel was Vineapple. It reminded me of Denver or Portland, but with a much heartier NYC feel. Situated in Brooklyn, it was an ideal spot to wait out my overpriced hotel room. I had the salad special, a peach iced tea and a watermelon tequila slushy drink.
And here’s what you need to know. The owner allowed me the grace to comfort and cool my pet. The server demonstrated care and compassion. The bartender was approachable and friendly. In this teeny tiny space, I felt like my humanity and dignity were respected. They didn’t know me. I came in dirty from the train, my puppy and I both overheating, and the owner kneeled down to offer her some water. He talked to her as if she was his baby, and the server talked to me like a friend. It was a busy brunch service and they didn’t have to be accommodating at all.
Gems like this are hard to find. Please give them your business and tell them this review is why you came.

A delightful and delicious spot for coffee, cocktails, and meals at all times of day. They have a great selection of paninis and soups for lunch. If you want a drink, try their signature cocktail that comes in a pineapple shaped glass.

Updt: Matcha latte was better before, now feels like they put even more sweetener or use the sweetened milk. Only spoils the taste of matcha.
Original:
The food was great, especially an avocado toast (make sure to add prosciutto, they give a generous portion) and egg scramble (filled with mushrooms and spinach) on toast.
Matcha latte was OK, but I felt that they added some sweetener.
They have a cute backyard and have lively music on Fridays, as well as Sunday supper deal with lots of food for $35 per person.

Some Of the best pizza in Brooklyn! I used to eat lunch and dinner here several times a week years ago. I miss this place. You can't go wrong with a true NY style pizza and pepperoni is the best. I Love Fascati's, it was a large part of my life as a young man in Brooklyn. Buy their pizza!

If you like a crispy slice then look no further! Great low-key little place serving some really solid pizza. I’d give it 8/10. The base is just special. It’s almost like fried toast in its texture but still keeps that fresh doughy flavour. The topping and sauce is a little forgettable but sprinkle it up with plenty of added seasoning and enjoy that crisp!

I came here for an after wedding dinner. As soon as you walk in the bartender at the bar greets you with a friendly welcome. You’re seated faster than most places. The atmosphere is perfect for a date night. The lighting is not too bright and the music is not too loud so you can actually hear who you’re talking to. I had the linguine with fresh clams. The pasta was cooked to a tender texture. Personally, I prefer a little bit more flavor to my food so I had to sprinkle on some salt and pepper. The desserts are delicious and provide a nice ending to your meal. Overall, it was a great experience not taking into account our waiter repeatedly asking us if we wanted to purchase a bottle… Like three times to be exact.. All good.. I still recommend this spot.👍🏼

We stopped for a light supper at Bevacco on Henry Street on our way to the Clark Street subway station from a Happy Hour. We ate a Burrata Pizza and a Kale Salad. Our food was very good to excellent. We were especially happy with Burrata on our pizza. We were delighted with Bevacco's service. Our servers made us feel like regulars despite this being our first visit. Our table outside was very pleasant. We would go back.

Well here we go again, back at our favorite place celebrating my best friends brand new chapter in life - 30 years old. When we decided to go back we said we would get the same dishes we ordered last time - Salmon and Clam linguini because they were absolutely delicious.
Then I saw the Chicken Piccata and couldn't help myself, had to try something new ::insert mind blown GIF:: Little did I know the chicken picacata would turn into my new favorite dish here. The chicken was beautifully laid on a bed of greens, potatoes and a mouth watering lemon / caper sauce. That sauce was so good, not one drip of it was left behind. Only reason I didn't pick the plate up, put it to my face to lick the rest of the sauce is because I actually have some table manners. Lol
The clam linguini was just as good this time as it was the last. This place never lets me down. The service is good and chill. Great location just minutes away from the Dumbo water front.

The food was fine but the service was really bad. The staff was rude and not accommodating enough to let us change tables away from a loud group. This even when the restaurant was 70% empty.

I would usually give this place a five out of five. I’ve been a regular for over a year since moving into the dorms across the street. The food is consistently amazing, and the service is usually excellent. However, my most recent experience forced me to lower my rating. There is a waiter who has served me twice now, and both times, his behavior was extremely rude. He forgot several items from my order and brought me the wrong drink order, and when I politely asked for them again, he responded with a blatant attitude. Despite my efforts to be courteous and introduce myself, he did not tell us his name or respond to anything my boyfriend and I said. We would say thank you, and he would just give us a blank stare. When I dine out, I expect at least decent service. Given the number of times I've come here, I was hoping for better. This negative experience has made me reluctant to return. If you encounter a waiter with both arms covered in tattoos, I would recommend dining elsewhere.

Popped in for a Sunday breakfast at 11:30am ish with 2 friends. There was a small line but we didn’t have to wait longer than 15 minutes for a nice booth table inside. The owner/manager was super nice and actually came out and talked to eat waiting party and shared when we would be able to get a table. Ordered the garden omelette and shared a pancake which was super fluffy. The ambiance inside felt like the cozy neighborhood diner experience that I want for a weekend breakfast. Service was great, would easily visit again next time I’m in Brooklyn Heights

The best (and cheapest) sushi spot in all NYC!!! We got edamame, and gyoza as appetizers. We got the Monkey Roll, 2011, Snow Mountain, Atlantic, Hard Rock, and the Hana Roll. They were all super delicious!!! As a dessert, we got the fried ice cream. Highly recommend coming here to dine. I will definitely be coming back and trying other stuff on their menu.

The greatest of the great - for $5.05 and in 50 seconds flat, you can get the best falafel pita sandwich of your life, packed with incredible baba ganoush and hummus. This is what Brooklyn used to be and, thank goodness, this one spot hasn’t changed for decades. The baklava is also outstanding.
