After a long day exploring NY, this place felt perfect for us - good food, great vibe and amazing service. This was the best food we've had in 3 days here and the beer selection was also a highlight. I would highly recommend this and it feels like home Ireland.

We sat outside for a quick lunch. The server was friendly and checked on us several times. Good beer selection and the nachos were awesome.

The girlfriend and I weren’t terribly impressed with this place. All the food we got was not in line with what we had expected. We were especially disappointed by the chicken tenders, which were nothing like the stereotypical chicken tender you’re going to get anywhere else. They’re battered with tiny (I mean tiny) slivers of chicken. Don’t think we will go back if we are craving bar food of any kind. Fried pickles were decent though.

An excellent pub in Brooklyn Heights. The bartender and entire staff are on point, swift and smart. The food is good pub fare, I had the fried chicken sandwich, and while a bit dry, it hit the spot. I’ll be back as often as I can for this staple in NYC pubs. Nachos are great!

Hearty Italian with extremely friendly and accommodating service. All our dishes were excellent in terms of taste (including gluten free pasta which they paid extra attention to if there was gluten in the meatballs - thank you!), and were very generous in time of size. I'd recommend considering splitting a dish! It is cash only and marked clearly as such IMO. We definitely would love to come back as it feels like the family type of Brooklyn vibe we appreciate. A great spot in Brooklyn Heights!

I loved the mushroom pasta, and the ambiance. The garlic bread with spicy sauce was a great treat, at the same time crunchy and fluffy. The swordfish tasted really good, but it was a bit dry. The staff was friendly, but slow, very clearly overwhelmed by the number of customers.

Definitely worth the trip, although not a 5 star. As everyone noted, this is CASH ONLY. Before 10pm, nearest ATM is 5-10 mins, after 10pm it's 10 mins so do bring enough cash for a good tip.
We went without a booking at 9pm for 5 people. Indoors did have an excellent vibe but we were starving so were happy to sit in the outside covered section without waiting 40 mins. Even in December at 9 degrees (European) with the heater at the back it was definitely not even needed for jackets.
Front of house is amazing, so friendly and chatty. As we were outside, getting attention or staff became tricky but everyone was very nice when we did.
Despite it's reputation, we went for the garlic bread with homemade chilli oil, which is 100% a winner & still sad we didn't buy any. Do save some if you get pasta to mop up the juices as it went so well with the lasagne. The cacio e Pepe with asparagus & egg yolk went down very well, and the wine selection isn't outstanding but decent enough.
We skipped dessert but everything looked great. I'd 100% recommend this as a safe, delicious, and fun bet for a group dinner. Would definitely go back.

Kinda shocked. This had been my favorite Italian restaurant for decades. Reliable, delicious, casual/romantic with super-professional service. The only problem had been the wait for a table on a weekend night, but for such a good place, it was worth it. Went last night for the first time in almost a year, only to discover that the prices have jumped and the quality has nose-dived. Lobster risotto was chalky AND watery. The hand-cut noodles were overcooked and bland (while also over-chilied). The service is still friendly and professional (staff seem to stay forever) and there is ever that $5 glass of wine. But don't let that fool you into thinking this place is still uniquely affordable or especially good.

Some of the best desserts I’ve ever had, loved their tiramisu and chocolate espresso cake.
The entrees and appetizers were a bit lacking on their New Year’s Eve menu, I think they are known for their pastas so will come back to try their pastas in the future.
Cash only.

I’ve been here a couple of times and every time I come here the food is always amazing and the service is great. The employees are very friendly which is something that you can’t really get anymore in town. everyone was very welcoming and very kind and the food didn’t take that long which is very nice. I definitely recommend this place. The menu has many different options which is great, especially when you’re with family and when they’re picky they have many different options to choose from. The burgers from here are amazing.

I Love it at Park Plaza. I so miss this place. I will be coming back soon. The food, service, and atmosphere is fantastik. I love the atmosphere a lot. Nice and calm. When my cousin come up from Florida, I will be brining her to Park Plaza. She like good breakfast food. So looking forward to come back to Park Plaza.

I absolutely love Park Plaza! The owner is such a wonderful person. I have celebrated most of my best moments there. My wedding, my college graduation and today my daughter’s birthday. The employees are so welcoming and kind.
I am always excited to visit when I go back to Brooklyn.
Please make sure when you’re visiting to tell a friend or two or three. The place holds a lot of people for any event. The new outdoor space is beautiful at night.

I enjoy coming to this diner for breakfast and lunch. I love the omelettes and their homemade french fries. For lunch, they have some really nice salads which are fresh and have great ingredient combos.
The inside is very comfortable with mostly booths and there is also an outside patio which is really nice in the warmer weather. The staff could not be friendlier or more attentive.

Henry’s end was a delightful find in Brooklyn with great food and excellent service. A local cozy restaurant with a great menu that includes lots of choices. Steaks, shrimp and seafood, and an extensive game menu. The steak au poivre was nicely sauced to complement the beef, not overwhelm it. The burger was delicious, and the butternut squash with sage brown butter sauce was an unexpected delight.
The owner and staff were enthusiastic about us bringing in a baby and had a high chair. The service was attentive and sincere. Everything was above our expectations and the good reviews are spot on.
This is a nice warm alternative to the big and bold restaurants in NYC.

I have been eating at Henry’s End for many years and it’s one of my favorite places in Brooklyn Heights. I come for Brunch, lunch and dinner often - the food is excellent and the staff is friendly and I always enjoy the vibes. I love that at brunch they have a new donut they fresh make every day. For brunch I love the French toast and the Egg Torta, and the fried chicken sandwich is delicious too. I love the unique dinners, different types of game like duck and elk chops and other dishes you don’t see anywhere else. This place is family owned and has been in the neighborhood for years, I see some people are leaving 1 star reviews who have never been here and I am someone who has and I truly have always enjoyed my experiences here and would recommend to anyone else

Good food, wine and service. Although More known for their game, their salads are very nice, as are their fish dishes.
If you sign up they send you a yearly "free entree" (actually $25 off) voucher to use around when your birthday is.

Consistently delicious food with meat centric menu and amazing service.
They are famous for their game dishes and my antelope steak with potato gratin was 10/10! The red snapper was also great - nicely flaky and well seasoned.
Though it is definitely a place to try all those exotic meats like elk chops, bison, boar end even a turtle soup.
They have great wine selection. I was impressed you can get a glass of 1970 Medoc Bordeaux for $25 only - in most places you'd have to splurge for a bottle.
The grilled vegetables with polenta and mushrooms salad were perfect apps and also above expectations.
Try not to get stuffed on the fluffy bread in the very beginning!
The ambiance is very casual, though it could easily be a place for a special occasion. They are pretty full every day, so definitely make a reservation at least 3-4 days in advance.

I love this place and have been here many times over the past 20+ years. Had New Year's Eve dinner here since it had been a while. The crab cakes and Elk Chops were amazing. Loved them. Service is always amazing too. I was disappointed though in the Ms. Mud Pie - it used to have toffee in it, and now it has chocolate chips, which I hated. Hope they can bring back the old version as it was much, much better!

Quickly becoming my go-to brunch spot! The coffee and the cocktails are awesome. I love the turmeric one. I feel so healthy getting that with a quinoa bowl. Good luck finding my waist this summer!! The service is so good and I’ve also tried the eggs Benedict and quesadilla. Everything is a good portion size and very tasty.

I think we must have been there at a busy time. The burger was really good. The breakfast burrito wasn’t very flavorful and the “roasted “ potatoes were mealy and undercooked.

Delicious drinks and good food. I tried their o captain my captain cocktail which was very well balanced with a slight kick and the golden cocktail which was also very good on the sweeter side. The burrata small plate is good as well as the white bean dip and eggplant Parm. There are cozy outdoor seats as well. Servers are friendly.

Fantastic brunch and even better espresso based drinks. The menu itself isn’t anything super out of the ordinary but everything is done well. Their coffee menu has some fun features that are worth a try. Our server was also super sweet and made the experience a standout for us.

$4 slices (at the time of writing) with a walk up window. Sure, if you’re looking for a fancy brick oven pizza with trendy toppings — this ain’t it, but for a quick and dirty greasy NYC pizza this is a good option.
Oh and they also now accept credit card. Lot of old reviews mention them not doing that.

I went there after a rough day and boy oh boy did this pizza brighten up my day! This pizza is some of the best pizza my taste buds have ever touched. When I walked into the store, I saw a clean floors and walls, clean tables, and a beautiful Italian atmosphere. And the service here is even better! I would definitely come back here again best pizza in New York!

If you like a crispy slice then look no further! Great low-key little place serving some really solid pizza. I’d give it 8/10. The base is just special. It’s almost like fried toast in its texture but still keeps that fresh doughy flavour. The topping and sauce is a little forgettable but sprinkle it up with plenty of added seasoning and enjoy that crisp!

If you like thin crust pizza and I do you will love this joint. It’s unpretentious delicious Brooklyn pizza. I’d go on about it more and use exclamation points etc but I kinda don’t want it to get famous. You gotta go there and get a fresh slice and a soda and you’ll see.

During a recent evening in DUMBO, we decided on a spontaneous dinner and were pleased to find that Bevacco could accommodate us without a reservation. The restaurant’s policy of reserving bookings for larger parties made it convenient for our smaller group to be seated promptly.
We began our meal with the Imported Burrata, a delightful combination of creamy burrata, arugula pesto, figs, crispy prosciutto, pistachios, and grilled sourdough. The harmonious blend of textures and flavors made this appetizer a standout.
For the main courses, the Cacio e Pepe featured al dente spaghetti tossed with black pepper, Parmesan, pecorino, and a touch of parsley, delivering a comforting and authentic taste. The Tagliatelle Bolognese, with its rich sauce of grass-fed beef, veal, and pork over fresh spinach tagliatelle, was equally satisfying. Additionally, the Bevacco Burger, topped with fontina cheese, crispy shallots, and gremolata, accompanied by perfectly cooked fries, offered a delightful twist on a classic favorite.
While I had initially ordered the duck breast, a miscommunication led to us receiving the Brussels sprouts instead. Prepared with guanciale, cranberries, pecorino, and pumpkin seeds, their delightful acidity turned this unexpected dish into a pleasant surprise.
The “Pick Me Up” cocktail—a refreshing blend of tequila, blood orange amaro, Aperol, lime, and agave complemented our meal beautifully, striking a perfect balance between citrus and sweetness.
We concluded our dining experience with a classic affogato and the Lemon Basil Panna Cotta. The panna cotta, infused with buttermilk and accompanied by balsamic strawberries, provided a light and flavorful end to our meal.
Despite the minor ordering mishap, the overall experience at Bevacco was exceptional. The attentive service, combined with the restaurant’s intimate setting and culinary excellence, ensures that I will return to explore more of their menu. For those seeking a memorable dining experience Bevacco comes highly recommended.

The squid ink pasta was the worst I’ve ever had. The noodles came out colder than room temperature, the seafood in it didn’t seem all that warm or fully cooked either. Too many mussels, and shrimp with tails on.
Atmosphere is dark and fine, but the menu is hard to read in this environment. Could use some bigger bolder fonts, people shouldn’t need to resort to using the flashlight on their phones to be able to order.
The garlic Parmesan fries weird really basic fries, very greasy, and the Parmesan was sprinkled on and didn’t stick.
Extremely overpriced for the quality of food, and the service was lacking like every recent review has said. Do not come here.

I came here for an after wedding dinner. As soon as you walk in the bartender at the bar greets you with a friendly welcome. You’re seated faster than most places. The atmosphere is perfect for a date night. The lighting is not too bright and the music is not too loud so you can actually hear who you’re talking to. I had the linguine with fresh clams. The pasta was cooked to a tender texture. Personally, I prefer a little bit more flavor to my food so I had to sprinkle on some salt and pepper. The desserts are delicious and provide a nice ending to your meal. Overall, it was a great experience not taking into account our waiter repeatedly asking us if we wanted to purchase a bottle… Like three times to be exact.. All good.. I still recommend this spot.👍🏼

SUCCESSFUL PURCHASE 🤑
If you’re wondering if Bevacco is a camera store, you’d be wondering about the wrong things. Well, now that I think about it, you’d be wondering about the right things.
I bought a camera at Bevacco but that’s because I had a meet up. Xavier Thorton agreed to meet with me and sell the camera after two glasses. The wine flowed and the vibes were right. Part of me wanted to give Xavier a big smooch on his face! But that would be wrong in so many ways (not in those ways but because the Misses wouldn’t be thrilled)
Thanks! 🇨🇲

Food was good but I wouldn't say it was exceptional. Portions were of a good size and the place was extremely busy on a sunny March end weekend. Service was a bit slow due to the crowds. It took quite some time before we could get someone to take our orders but once they took the order the food didn't take too much time. It was just the second outing with our infant grandchild so we didn't linger for drinks or dessert. Just had a sandwich each and left.

Lovely spot nestled into Brooklyn Heights, conveniently located if youre around and always popular for brunch on weekends. The food quality is good, though relatively standard for diner style brunch.
I liked their french toast and omelettes. When there was a bee flying around the staff took care of it very quickly, which was cool.

Unfortunately, most of the stuff we hot was either soggy or just very cold. The steaks were okay. The calamari was not crispy nor hot at all. All of our eggs were very average. I did love the fries though. Service was great and the vibe of the place is sweet. Overall, we were REALLY disappointed with the food.

Service was great and atmosphere was awesome.
Wasn't a huge fan of the salmon miso soup though, it was too hot and there were too many veges inside. The sushi was very good, but I felt the special spicy tuna roll had a little too much rice compared to fish. The dinner combo was great though, terriaki steak was very well cooked.
I would come back

A hidden gem in Brooklyn heights. I was pleasantly surprised to find this small, mom and Pop restaurant, but was even more surprised with how delicious the food was. It was just one person behind the counter and the prices were very affordable.
The food was well seasoned, delicious, and had the home cooked feeling. The lentil soup was delicious as well as the hummus. But the falafel‘s were amazing. I’ve honestly never had such good falafel: moist, but crunchy and flakey. Perfectly salted. You didn’t need to eat it with anything. Well executed.
I definitely recommend this place to all and will be back here soon.
