I want to start out by saying that my wife and I have been going to Dallas BBQ’s as one of our favorite places to go for our date night. We have been to this location from when since they 1st opened, and a few times since. It has been over 3 yrs since our last time at the Downtown Brooklyn location. Upon walking through the doorS, we were hit with a smell of old liquor spilled floors. The floors and the entire interior is in need of a remodeling and renovation. Looking at how the neighborhood itself has changed to a more pricier look and feel with high rise apartments everywhere, then this location needs to keep up with the times.
The staff was very pleasant and kind. I was disappointed by them not being able to offer the drinks on the online menu, but the drinks we ordered were great nonetheless. The Vegetable Tempura was delicious. I am uoset that the Gluten Free Soy Sauce was not an option for people with Gluten allergies. My wife ordered the Traditional Quarter Chicken (White meat) with Fries and Cornbread. She said the chicken was delicious, but the Fries and Cornbread were not so much. The fries were over cooked and the cornbread is still the same dry recipe that has been used forever. I ordered the Salmon and Shrimp(Grilled) Combo with Fries. I agree that the fries could have been better. The Salmon was way over cooked to the point that is was dry and tough. Our waiter allowed me to swap for an additional Shrimp.
The Texas Size Drinks never disappoint! Henny Coloda is a Go!
The interior, and restroom could all use a make over.

I give this place a 2 star because the table service was very slow yesterday. we had to go get our own napkins, straws and forks. We had to keep asking for them to take plates away to make space for other things, also my sisters boyfriend food was not cooked well and he didn’t like how his meat looked. other than that our server was friendly. Not sure I will be back here at all again.

I frequent there 1 to 2 times every week Nostramd/Livingston. a great chill spot. love seeing the same wait staff. they're amazing. drinks cornbread and wings are my thing. can't get tired of it.
the only drawback, not just with this location, which I've made clear to them, and as the wait staff says 4/10 customers think the same, the dallas fries are a waste of money, it is absolute Garbage. compare to fast food chains like Mc Donald Wendy Popeyes kfc and other restaurants dallas serves the worst fries I've ever seen in my entire life and I hope they really do something about it. if it's going to stay like this, it should be for free. besides, I dnt purchase it anymore, but when my friends do it's disheartening.
Please fix it.

A bit of a disappointing experience for us. We started with tempura broccoli and sticky wings. The broccoli was good and the wings were actually really good. I got the beef ribs which were excellent and my husband got the smokehouse platter which was mixed. The pulled pork was good, ribs were ok but the brisket. It was the worst brisket I have ever tried. It was so tough you couldnt bite through it. We sent it back and the replacement was not as tough but still so chewy and just not great. If you tried serving that in Texas pretty sure you'd get shot.... Our entrees also came the the table about so fast we hadn't even gotten through a single wing each. All in all I wouldn't recommend this place if you want really good bbq. Kind of like Applebee's level food here.

The food was delicious and came quickly. The server was very courteous and attentive. The restaurant was clean and all of the staff were accommodating to our needs. I would definitely go back again.

I had always passed the restaurant but never stopped as I was thinking over thick, slice hero bread with tons of meat stuffed inside, I saw a sign that said Empanadas so I went in and realized I was completely wrong about this restaurant. Ox tails, bake chicken, salads, salmon, and so many other delicious looking meals and did I mention that I love flan and yes they sell that also I can't believe I had misjudged this restaurant for so many years but not anymore. Today, I picked up 3 empernadas, which was good but better with some hot sauce to enhance my taste. I would definitely be back to this Cuban home cooking restaurant. Please go and see what's inside. Don't be like me and misjudg this restaurant for so many years.

Sophie's has the best oxtail in the area.
It is falling off the bone and it comes with up to 3 sides which makes for a great meal. The sweet plantain is a very good side, so is the yucca. There are also healthy salad and beet sides so you can mix things up.
All of the food is seasoned and has flavor.
Their green sauce is nice if you need some spice without being too hot.
Order on their website instead of Uber or other apps. Those apps are like $4 more for everything.

Fast and delicious. This location is close to my job and I just love it when I have it for lunch. I usually get pernil with yellow rice, beans and sweet plantains. This is the full combo, gets me feeling so content and satisfied. Like look at this! I can barely finish it myself. Always bring leftovers home!

The burger tastes great for a fast food smash burger, it is definitely one of the better ones that I have had. The waiting time was however too long. There were people in front of me taking forever to discuss who knows what and there seemed to be only one person taking orders despite some more people around. This could definitely be optimized. There were several lemonades to order from but I received something different than I ordered but it was ok so I didn't care but if you do, make sure that they get you what you ordered.

Im def team spicy. And the current shakes are out of this world. I love the freshness and shake shacks commitment to antibiotic free chicken, unlike so many competitors. The changing menu is great, and I love that the classics are always there. Must go to if you’ve never been or are visiting from out of town. Classic quality chain.

The Korean burger was overrated 6.5, it was dry & barely had any Korean sauce or flavor to it, the kimichi.. was coleslaw lettuce 😭I expected the same sandwich shown on the menu. The bbq Korean was better, 8.5 the beef patty was super fresh & tasted rly good. The drinks are good depending on what you get like sunset lemonade & yuzu honey lemonade but the dragonfruit lemonade was okay tasted kinda bad like 5.5 mid similar to medicine water. The fries are crunchy and best eaten when hot.

We came to this place by accident and unexpectedly. And I'm very happy about it. We were hungry and tried to find something quick and inexpensive like McDonald's or Burger King. And we stumbled upon this place oh my god,We took burgers, cheeseburgers and fries and it was very, very tasty, especially the cutlet in the burger and the vegetables.Everything is very fresh, just prepared, not frozen, and very, very tasty. I haven’t eaten such delicious sandwiches for a long time. Naturally, we quickly ordered it ourselves, and the usual price is the same as everywhere. I'll definitely stop by there whenever I'm in the area. Oh, and the first time I tried frozen cola there. This is my favorite drink now 😸😸

Burger took forever to be prepared although there was literally 7 customers in the whole place. Food came in whatever order. It tasted okay, but not as tasty as it should. It's completely over staff. Workers couldn't care less about customers, they kind of ignore them, they're just chatting and making noise instead of working. Sadly this place does not live up to the standards of Shake Shack!

I ordered their gluten free pizza from Uber Eats and was blown away! As a gluten sensitive person, pizza is one of the foods I miss the most. Their pie was thin and crispy - not crumbly at all like other GF options. It arrived quickly and tasted great. I will absolutely order again!

Best slice in New York let alone Brooklyn, went to all the big name places and this one clears them all. Sauce they use is amazing and they’re all very friendly, gave us an extra slice and some cookies as well. Can’t wait to come back next time we visit from Australia. Margarita and Sicilian are must gets.

I came here on a Friday night and was surprised by how quiet it was. I sat down and ordered their ravioli. Overall I enjoyed it. The cheese filling was a bit plain but the pasta was covered in a thick layer of gooey cheese. The garlic knots were good. The prices are good as well. I'd say this place is definitely undervalued.

This place has the best slice in downtown Brooklyn! The margarita slice is the best with fresh pesto and mozzarella. The staff is so sweet and the place is clean! Delicious pizza!

Great surprise. We found the place randomly as it started to rain and we needed shelter. They have a great variety of pizzas (round and square) and on a Saturday they are all fresh. All very tasty, with very good cheese and a crispy base. People writing there were very friendly too. Recommended.

Nice smaller Starbucks. Very clean inside. Staff is friendly and coffee was fresh. The line moved Quickly as well. Not too busy in the afternoon as well so good place to stop in, warm up, and do a little reading or work. Stop on in!

Needs a restroom for customers, staff are kind about it fortunately. I don’t know why there’s no restroom. This Starbucks is very small. One small room really. But always like 60 people at once. And needs to provide slightly better service.

Came here because I saw they had some vegan foods, I tried the ackee, vegan beef, callaloo, and vegan fish patty, all were very tasty, although would have liked a bit more filling. Also tried the regular soy, which surprisingly was my favorite, so tasty. The split pea I had to throw out, the filling had this weird fishy/vinegar/off taste. The bread patty part of the vegan fish was less tasty, but seemed whole wheat, probably a healthier version. Was told all the patty crusts were vegan, and most of the fillings available were too.
Place had a good amount of plant based meats, but not a ton of plant based dairy in the fridge.

I’m into it. This place has a solid selection of vegan hot foods and the staff is chill/friendly. I’ve tried most of the vegan patties and some are better than others but all serviceable. Additionally they’ve got some solid selections of vegan grocery items, particularly May Wah proteins if you’re not able to hop over the bridge to the Chinatown store. I’m glad to see they’re still in business and hope they will continue to thrive for awhile as this neighborhood definitely doesn’t have a lot of gems like this.

I am in this location M-F as it is the nearest Starbucks to my office. The staff is pleasant, fast and always accurate. Though I usually place a mobile order, my items are ready, well prepared and even include the straw and cup of ice I request once I'm in store. When I worked at Starbucks some years ago, the expectation was to have customers in and out of the store in 3 minutes or less. The partners at this location definitely do. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

This was my go-to spot for lunch when I used to work around the corner over 15 years ago, circa 2009. Then, last year, I visited the place and came to tears to find the same delicious, consistent flavors and good lunch deals. It was a great nostalgic experience. The salmon used to be served in steak cuts back then. Now, they offer fillets, but equally delicious.

I went today for a salad, the cashier was not a nice towards me at all. She was aggressive asking me if I'm ready to pay and then just took the money handed me my bag. But when this hispanic man approaches the counter her demeanor changed to "hola como estas " why wasn't i treated the same, i felt like i was being rushed to get out by the short female cashier. Im never coming back here. My first and last time. I take it very serious how i am treated by an establishment and i will not continue giving my money to people who lack basic customer service. Ill be sure to tell the office to avoid going there for lunch as well.

I'm obsessed, clean tasty food I've had their seafood soup and beef barley 😋 yummy not salty. Rotisserie chicken and pinto beans yummy goodness 😋 empanada packed and filled. Flan good. You can't go wrong when eating here.

Nice spot for takeout lunch or dinner. They have a small seating area but would only recommend to use to eat and leave. Traffic is high in and out, which means food is good, but many people around your food. Nice authentic Spanish taste and flavors. Was referred to try this place by a coworker, and we finally went together. The food was so good (rotisserie chicken, white rice with pinto beans and platanos), I almost fell asleep after...lol. Will definitely be back!

When it comes to this spot the burgers and workers are very nice and professional however when it comes to the customers it's very overcrowded and overwhelming. Can't spend time with the family without needing more space. There are college students so they are a little loud but other than that some people are very generous.

It was an expensive but delicious double cheese burger for about 11 dollars. It was a dollar extra for an extra burger so i went for it. No fries or drink included cost extra separately. There was some seating area. It seems pretty clean. Could sit outside there are benches. I did see peanut was not sure if they were free to take or pay near the front of the restaurant.

Got an Italian sub. Bottom half of the bread was really soggy, like the veggies were dripping wet when they put it on.
They also charged me more than what's posted on their menus in the store (aka more that just the listed total plus tax). I'm seeing other comments about people being charged differently as well.

I worked in area so visited store 5 days a week. I got coffee in mornings, breakfast & sometimes lunch. I liked going there for the variety offered, sandwiches, hot food & salads. if you were looking at menu posted and omit something or add found pricing grossly different by the time you got to front counter to pay. This happened on more than 1 occasion almost as if pricing was made up as you go along. I paid different pricing on different days for same item. and you have to remember to ask for specials so they can re work close to what is posted up on menu or then you feel like you are getting a better deal.. I was always rushing off to work so i didn"t dispute. This is terrible.... you always have to walk around with cash because this business will NOT accept any credit cards or debit cards.
