We came here to celebrate our anniversary and enjoyed a beautiful meal (the raw bar is out of this world). The restaurant itself has a wonderful ambience combining Parisian Brasserie with old NYC industrial details like the tin ceiling. The staff was pleasant and attentive starting is off with champagne to toast another year. Cocktails were perfectly curated and the wine list had so many great options to pare with dinner. We began with the Balthazar salad and buttery garlic escargots. For our main we split the larger seafood tower Le Balthazar. It was extravagant and fresh across the board (oysters, clams, mussels, shrimp, crab salad, and 2 lobsters). For desert we had the banana ricotta tart with banana ice cream. Simply delectable. From making the reservation, to sitting at our table, to sharing a beautiful meal for the celebration it was absolutely perfect! Thank you Team Balthazar!!

The ambiance of the restaurant is warm and inviting, making you feel comfortable as soon as you walk in. I went with a friend for a quick chat, and we truly enjoyed our time there. We had coffee and desserts, and I highly recommend the Pavlova it was absolutely delicious! It was the perfect place to relax, catch up, and enjoy a lovely afternoon.

What’s there to say about Balthazar that wasn’t said before? Efficiently buzzing with high energy! Friendly and wonderful staff! I’ve been here so many times over the last few decades and every time is a wonderful experience. The vibe, the food, the service! The bread! Yum!!!! Ordered the avocado toast and petite filet. The fries I swear will cure all the problems in the world! There’s no way one cannot feel anything but utter joy stuffing several of their fries in ones mouth at once. I also read Keith McNally’s autobiography and msde me love thus restaurant even more. And felt honored I met him once at yup, Balthazar!

The lore of this place is iconic. Beyond the media attention for being one of Taylor swifts restaurants & famously banning James Corden it feels a bit like stepping back in time & feels very “New York”. I personally like that it’s founded by a Brit as a French restaurant that now is just VERY New York. Service impeccable, feels almost cramped but isn’t with a proper buzz from entry to exit. Service is truly excellent (much better than France 😂) & food is great too.

Lure is what I would consider the quintessential corporate lunch/dinner location. Not to say that the food is bad out anything, but I would say the main highlights are the impeccable service and immaculate atmosphere. The servers are extremely attentive and have a strong commitment to detail and table side banter. While the atmosphere and decor are extremely fitting for their mission statement, which is why I can easily tell this restaurant is made for the more corporate experience where you are looking to take people out for a nice time. The food overall was very well made and tastes fine, but the main point of contention for me is that things just that's taste okay. Nothing was particularly special and most of the flavors were extremely strong, but in a way where you get the base idea of a "Japanese" inspired menu but just crank up the sodium. I wouldn't have any issues with returning, not given the prices on the menu, I wouldn't return in my own dime.

Went to dinner here with my coworkers started off with crispy rice, deviled eggs, and shrimp, which they all tasted really good, flavorful, warm, and fresh. We ordered mock tails. I got the lychee soda, and my coworker got the lemon drop which they both tasted really good and flavorful and on the larger side of a drink. We ordered a couple different rolls, yellowtail sushi, followed by Sumisa, salmon and another salmon dish with potatoes and vegetables. I felt like I was in a boat due to the atmosphere being set like you’re on a ship. Staff was friendly and nice. The main boss stopped by our table to ask us how everything was going. I would recommend anyone that likes sushi followed by some good entrées and drinks. This is the place to check out date night celebrating your birthday or just going out with family. Give it chance.

Amazing experience here! I don’t know which was better - the food or the service. Jesus was our waiter and he was the best waiter we’ve ever had. He was attentive and truly cared about us. The food was incredible as well. Fish was fresh and meat was cooked to perfection. Recommending this restaurant to all my friends.

Lure Fishbar had been on my list for a while. However, I think it is alright, leaving a bit to be desired. I’ll lead with the pros and minor misses - Pros - Uni bucatini was delectable, creamy, flavorful, the pasta was al dente and the red chilies cut through the richness occasionally so it was so easy to keep enjoying the dish The spicy tuna crispy rice was delicious. I love their little twist on the classic crispy rice that adds to the texture. Cant ever knock a crispy rice but this was definitely a memorable one! Crispy rock shrimp was addicting and crunchy. The batter was light and the shrimp were fresh and great! Minor misses - The seafood tower was a considerable let down. Aside from the shrimp, the oysters and clams were unpleasantly fishy and sandy. The seafood salad was also bland and chewy in a very unpleasant way. Though this is one minor miss, I would anticipate a seafood oriented restaurant to perfect their seafood towers Overall it’s a nice establishment. The interior design is unique and well thought out, mimicking the interior of a boat.

Beautiful restaurant (unless they seat you in the back). Food was not as good as expected. The crispy rice was OK but seemed a bit stale. The salmon was fine. I don’t think the kale Cesar salad belongs on their menu, it was very generic. None of the food was interesting or special. If you like food that isn’t seasoned or saucy, maybe you should go here but the service was not great. Our waitress was MIA and we had to flag down a different waiter every time that we wanted to order. The bathrooms were closed, no apologize or explanation on that, so we had to go across the street in the middle of dinner (30°f). Dessert was ok. I don’t think that this restaurant is doing anything new, interesting, or fun, other than being a boat.

3⭐️ for food tbh but rated 4 for staff. It is a lovely place. Pretty standard. Really thin crust pizza with some unique flavors. Do have to say nothing special but also nothing goes wrong. Mini rice ball was small and pricy. The flavor was normal. You taste what it says on the menu. Pizza dough was flat. Soft rather than chewy. 🌿Tie-dye was the signature which did have a more rich flavor with depths, what I would recommend if you come. Strong tomato taste balanced with pesto and cheese. The supreme was ok. Bread pudding was definitely an American style. Straightforward chocolate, caramel, and vanilla taste. Soft and moist.

Fun, quintessential little Italy vibes of an established New York City restaurant. Great service, and menu is much brighter than just pizza. Braised beef braciole and short rib anglotti were favorites for our table. Reservations took extensive planning and setting a timer at midnight to jump on it, but totally worth it. We went on a cold day where wait times were short, but I don’t think this is typical. Waiter was particularly attentive to our food, allergies, and double checked with the kitchen on ingredients. The menu is not overwhelming and there’s a focused list of desserts and beverages. The kind of place where options have been carefully honed over years of service. We also tried the tie-dye and honey pie pizzas. Crust was exceptionally thin. This is what New York style pizza is traditionally known for. If this is your thing, you’ll love it. They have it down to a science. A definite repeat. Would rate 7.5/10 for the pizza experience, but all else was a solid 9+.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A true taste of Little Italy! 🇮🇹🍝 Rubirosa was one of the highlights of our NYC trip. The restaurant is small, cozy, and constantly busy, which only adds to its authentic neighborhood Italian charm. We started with a few appetizers, and every single one was excellent. The Mozzarella Sticks were a classic done right—crispy on the outside, perfectly gooey inside. We also ordered the Rice Balls (Arancini), delicious golden-fried risotto balls filled with melted cheese, and they were outstanding. The Meatballs were another standout: incredibly tender, flavorful, and served with an amazing pomodoro sauce that made us want to mop up every last bit with bread. For the mains, we ordered the Carbonara, the Agnolotti filled with short rib, and the Chicken Parmesan. The Carbonara easily stole the show. Rich, creamy (without being heavy), perfectly seasoned, and one of the best pasta dishes we’ve had in a long time. The Agnolotti was equally impressive. The pasta was delicate, the short rib filling was incredibly tender, and every bite was packed with flavor. The Chicken Parmesan was also very good—crispy chicken, generous melted cheese, and a well-balanced tomato sauce. It was delicious, although the Carbonara and Agnolotti definitely ended up being the stars of the meal. The only downside? The restroom. There’s only one for the entire restaurant, so expect a wait during busy hours. That said, it’s a very small complaint compared to how great everything else was. Fantastic food, a warm atmosphere, and dishes that absolutely live up to Rubirosa’s reputation. Highly recommended—and absolutely worth a visit when you’re in Little Italy. We’ll definitely be back! 🇮🇹🍷

This is our third time coming to NYC and we’ve always tried to get a reservation with no luck until now. Rubirosa has such a great atmosphere and wonderful attentive staff! We had so much fun! The pre-dinner bread was remarkable and tasted homemade. We ordered a tie dye pizza and I was really good! It has a very thing crispy crust. We also got some fun cocktails, including my favorite, a limoncello spritzer! You have to go at least once!

The tie-dye pizza so good. We order 2-3 boxes of pizza all the time. Wish it was easier to get a reservation but that’s okay. We ate inside once. They were nice to give us a table they don’t have a big space at all but we love the food so we are grateful.

Amazing Mac n cheese!!! I’m from Wisconsin so I’m very picky when it comes to Mac n cheese. Macbeth did not disappoint. I got the mushroom one and it was very cheesy!!! It had a little bit of spice which I wish I knew beforehand so I would have either asked to make it without the spice or would have gone with the classic. Despite that, it was still very delicious. Next time I’m in NYC I’d love to come back and try some of the other ones on the menu. The space itself is small and we were the only people there. It’s all yellow and has a cool design but it is small with only few tables for seating. They didn’t have cups of water, you had to purchase drinks so that’s my only complaint about the place.

I must say visited this place a few days ago and was left satisfied. I thought cause of a small place wasn't good, but the food over shadowed everything. If you around come in or order from any app that's available. The mac and cheese was amazing. I had a cheese burger mac and cheese and was left wanting more. I will be returning soon.

Amazing random find while walking around looking for dinner. Had to stop in because who doesn't love mac n cheese?? Small but cozy shop with comfortable seating. Took about 15 minutes to prepare, but completely worth the wait. I got the margarita mac, it was delicious and light. The medium size was a good dinner portion for me. The dishes were mac n cheese themed, which kept the food hot but allowed you to handle without worry. The plasticwear had an interesting design were they clicked together for storage. Overall the food and atmosphere were amazing and I'll definitely be going back to try other mac n cheese combinations!!

The service was underwhelming at best. Very transactional feeling to the business. About 10 people can sit inside at most to eat. Probably better for take out. They told me to expect 15’min for prep. Took about 15-20. Pretty standard. The food: I got the mushroom Mac and cheese - again, not overly impressed, but not bad. very “alright.” Decent spot for a quick-ish bite, especially a salty/savory/cheesy bite.

Overall – look, it is a goal of mine if I’m the best part in New York City I don’t know if the best or considered the best. I’m really like this place. I usually order it for work but tonight I went with friends to show them a meal that I like they also loved everything however they didn’t love the parm as much as I do. I think they’re just parm haters, but I think it’s great. It’s a no-frills place simple bustling little shop not a lot of space but that’s what makes it so charming my friends like all the food here we had a great time Food – as I said earlier, I came over for the parm. I’ve had the parm many times so I love the parm here. It’s not too crazy expensive it’s just a normal good poem however, this time I ordered other things like a Caesar salad, which is delicious. How can you mess up a Caesar salad salad? We also had the calamari which is delicious and fried and we had the meatballs which actually I’ve been craving meatballs eating oh, that was great We also got another pasta. I don’t know what it was but it’s located in my pictures. Overall everything went well together. Everything is delicious. Everything is on power with taste. Yes, please. Atmosphere – as mentioned earlier, it’s a small place. I am so lucky we got a spot we went in. We put our name down and within moments we got a cute little spot in the back corner. We were very lucky I’ve seen lines of this place and it makes experience so much better being able to get in quickly however, I wonder if we were just very lucky the staff was good. The food was fast and the atmosphere is just cute. It’s just simple. It’s not overdoing it with white tablecloths. There are a lot of these these Italian places that go too far. It’s cute. It’s simple that’s it.

Parm has been around a while, and I finally made it to the original location. It’s classic, old-school Italian-American comfort food. The space is pretty small and they don’t take reservations, so keep that in mind. I grabbed a seat at the bar during happy hour, weekdays from 3 to 7. The drink menu is limited, but a white wine did the job. It does get busy, though the bar is full service, which helps. We started with the garlic bread, cut into six pieces and sprinkled with parm. You HAVE TO add the fresh mozzarella. *chef’s kiss* I went with the chicken parm platter, which came with rigatoni carbone. The pasta was perfectly al dente. The spicy vodka sauce was good but could have used a bit more heat. The chicken parm itself was solid and comforting. Overall, I’d recommend it and would definitely come back.

Heard this place has the same owner as Carbone so wanted to try it. I enjoyed the bar setup and the staff were really friendly. There is an open kitchen so you can see the cooking process. However, the food is definitely not true Italian. I would consider it as Americanized Italian. No reservations I heard this place shares the same owner as Carbone, so I decided to give it a try. The bar setup was great, and the staff was incredibly friendly. The open kitchen allowed me to witness the cooking process, which was interesting. However, the food here is definitely not authentic Italian. It’s more of an Americanized Italian cuisine. There are no reservations.

Staff was super friendly and we enjoyed chatting with them. We had the “RIGATONI CARBONE in our world famous spicy pink vodka sauce” but asked how spicy it was, the server said a 5/10 on the spicy scale but said we could get it without spice so we did. It was delicious, I’d recommend eating here. I split the garlic bread with my friends and got the Rigatoni, (drank a water) I spent $27 in total with tip

If you’re looking for pure joy, this is the place. The food is incredible, the ambience is welcoming and fun, and the service is top tier. I’ve had so many different items on the menu from tomato soup and grilled cheese to grilled chicken salad and crispy brussels , to bacon egg and cheese croissant sandos with sweet potato fries and everything is delicious and top quality. And the cold brew can’t be beat! Special shout out to Carl who went above and beyond in making every meal I’ve had here a special experience.

I traveled from the Bay Area to New York City this summer, and for me, this restaurant was an excellent introduction to the NY food scene! First of all, I was impressed that the service was pretty fast, despite the restaurant being very busy when I arrived. However, the speed of delivery did not at all compromise the quality of food. I ordered the vegan breakfast bowl, and it was absolutely delicious! The portions were generous, so I definitely feel like I got my money’s worth. I was dining with a friend, and they said they enjoyed their meal as well. On top of that, both meals were extremely pleasing to the eye and made for great photos! The only critique I have is that unfortunately, there were several ingredients that were no longer available so my friend had to adjust their order twice to account for that. This may not be the restaurant’s fault, but I would just advise that if you come in, please have a backup order in mind, because your first choice may not even be available.

The Nolita location did not disappoint. Make sure to get a reservation. This place gets crowded. Almost every other table ordered the Mexican Breakfast Bowl (not pictured).

This was a pretty typical Grey Dog experience. The food and service were both solid, and the staff handled everything well. Nothing was bad, but it also did not stand out as one of the better brunch or casual dining spots in the area. The biggest issue was the outdoor seating. There are only a few tables, and the space feels very tight. The tables are small, the chairs are not especially comfortable, and there is barely enough room to sit without feeling crowded. It works for a quick meal, but it is not ideal if you want to relax and stay for a while. The service was good and efficient, which helped. I would still come back, but probably only if there were better seating options available.

I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the underground speakeasy restaurant La Esquina. Reservation is required to access this one via a guarded door leading to the underground scene with cramped but very lively bar, restaurant and dj scene! Food is generally very good but nothing that particularly stands out as deserving five stars.

stumbled upon La Esquina Brasserie entirely by accident, walking along Lafayette Street in New York, but what a find it turned out to be! A tour guide had mentioned it, but discovering it on my own made it feel like a hidden gem. The atmosphere was absolutely beautiful. You head down the steps, and it’s like stepping into a secret speakeasy. The lighting was just right, creating a warm and inviting vibe. The barmen were fantastic—friendly, professional, and really added to the experience. The food was another highlight. Their tacos and other dishes were delicious, and the drinks paired perfectly. This used to be one of the best spots in NYC, but over the last 10+ years this iconic Mexican speakeasy has turned into a tourist trap with disappointing food and rude service. I ordered the spicy margarita, which was mediocre at best. The chips were so hard they were difficult to eat, and after a very long wait, my fish tacos arrived tasting old and overcooked. My friend’s pork tacos were so fatty they were barely edible as well. What really prompted me to write this review, though, was the experience with the doorman. After our meal, we were waiting upstairs for a friend to join. A woman entered the restaurant and tried to walk downstairs where her group already had a table. The doorman refused to let her go downstairs because she personally didn’t have a reservation, even though she was clearly trying to contact the group. It was extremely loud downstairs, so naturally nobody was answering their phones. Meanwhile, he allowed other groups without reservations to go down. The way he treated her was unnecessarily rude and dismissive. He barely addressed her directly and seemed more interested in making her wait than helping solve a simple situation. The place wasn’t even busy. Her friends were already downstairs, and it would have cost nothing to let her join them. Between the poor food and the unfriendly service, I’d strongly recommend going somewhere else.

Pretty good taco place. Fast and casual. Good value. Beef birria taco is great and comes with a little side of broth. Skip the asada quesadilla. It comes with big chunks of undercooked onion and the cheese ratio was a bit off. But they do the tacos well.

A Mexican restaurant that its design & vibes ships you right to Mexico, in the middle of Soho, New York. We came here for a light dinner, so we shared everything we ordered with the agenda of trying as many tacos as possible. We started off with a guacamole con totopos, which is basically guac & tortilla chips, served with 2 spicy sauces. The guac was fresh and delicious, with lots of lime juice, just the way I like it. We then continued to the mains, and ordered a few of their wide taco selection - 1 birria taco (filled with brisket beef & melted cheese, served with a birria sauce to dip the taco into), 1 chicken tinga taco (the chicken was too dry to my taste ), 1 baja fish taco (deep fried cod, mayo and some vegetables) & 1 al pastor taco (grilled pork bits with pineapple). The birria taco was the clear winner by far, and right after him I really liked the baja fish taco. After we finished these, we ordered 2 more birria tacos, just because they were so good, and one more baja fish taco. Service was kinda slow, but still the food was great.

I went to the museum, stopped by by chance, and had a good time before leaving. It's burnt and delicious. It's good to have a light beer. The local atmosphere might make you drunk. Even if you're alone, don't hesitate and come in. You'll be able to make good memories. Because kind and full of laughter will greet you.

The food is so delicious! I come here for lunchtime and the food quality is consistent. The staff is always so warm and welcoming, and Juan, my server, is the best! Make sure to get the corn esquites and guac as appetizers. Pictured is the birria and shrimp tacos (and also their delicious salsas!!!)

went in for dinner. they were not super busy but service was still really slow after they dropped water off. ordered the al pastor, tinga, and shrimp tacos. al pastor was good, though the pineapple was wasn’t super flavorful (dull color) and the meat could’ve been warmer (this was the case for all the food). the shrimp was probably the best, well cooked and flavorful! sadly the tinga taco was dry an the tinga wasn’t juicy, though the flavors are there and maybe just need to be developed. I wish there were more salsa options too. the ambiance is great and the staff is generally friendly. would come back n hope to see some comments addressed.

First time here and I liked it. Just needed a quick bite and coffee. Cozy place with a nice small room in the back, for more privacy. Friend had the mac & cheese, which I sampled. Yummy. I had eggs with hash browns. Very filling. I'm a New Yorker born & raised, but don't frequent the area much, as it's touristy. But, if you want to people watch and relax, thus is a decent spot. Will be back!

Stayed in the neighborhood for the weekend. I didn’t want anything fancy like Bubby’s & wait in line Warm and cozy atmosphere. I had ths homemade hash browns with eggs & salad. It was excellent and it wasn’t oily. It was tasteful & delicious. Service was excellent. This is my go to spot the next time I am in the city, visiting from the Hamptons.

Great Swiss restaurant centrally located in SoHo. The bratwurst with rösti is delicious and very satisfying. And lovely Zürcher Geschnetzeltes and rösti with raclette cheese. Nice wine selection too including some Swiss wines such as Chasselas. Great outdoor seating perfect for people watching. Nice Swiss-inspired decor throughout the restaurant. Short of traveling to Zurich or Basel, this is the next best thing.

AMAZING CHEESECAKE!!! ———> If you’re looking for a slice of New York cheesecake and don’t know where to go this is your place! The cheesecake is perfectly creamy with a delicious crust. The strawberry topping adds a delicious freshness! What makes this place even better is that they kept the shop super cool which was nice to walk into on such a hot day. We walked in and it was a wave of cool fresh air. Overall definitely worth a stop.

Each mini cheesecake was delicious and perfectly portioned for one person — rich, creamy, and full of flavor without being too heavy. The service was just as impressive — warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly. The only downside is that the space is quite small, which makes standing and eating at the countertop a bit tricky. Still, the cozy vibe and incredible desserts make it well worth the visit. Highly recommend stopping by for a sweet pick-me-up!

There was a long lineup even in a rainy day but the gentlemen worked in the shop were very efficient. I got my cheesecake in 15 minutes! Usually I like strawberry cheesecakes but my personal recommendation from this place is the original and salted caramel cheesecakes. The salted caramel cheesecake had a caramel shell like a crème brûlée. It was very creamy and satisfying. You should not miss it.

The place is old school bakery with so many options in front of you. I had the classic cheesecake and pina colada. Both were fantastic. The small seating area outside across the bakery was such a perfect SOHO experience. Love love love

Amazing NYC original cheesecakes. The texture is so light! I recommend the strawberry one 🍓 not too sweet, not too fat, a perfect balance! A bit expensive but delicious and the staff is lovely
