4 Star Rating I liked Baltazar. The food very good. All we had tasted amazing. Service was good although it felt like there were rushing us out of the table for the next customer. Also, waiter wasn’t that gentle. That everything ended up working fine. Atmosphere is the highlight of the place. Decoration is pretty and gets you to Europe for sure. I do recommend this place.

5 Star Rating Visited in Aug 2023 This iconic French brasserie was on my list of must visit places for my trip to NYC, and it didn’t disappoint. While the steak frites is the most popular dish here, we went with some other choices (duck confit, halibut, burger) and each of them were quite fantastic. Desserts were exquisite and the cocktails were also pretty darn good. A definite recommendation for folks visiting NYC

2 Star Rating Service was amazing but the food wasn’t good at all. We got the tuna appetizer and the tuna itself was low quality and chewy. The cheese tart appetizer was ok at best, and for an expensive restaurant you’d expect the bread to come out warmed or toasted but it was cool and tasted like it had been sitting in a plastic container all day. If you want to stop here, stop in briefly for the service and maybe a couple drinks, but save your money and your appetite for one of the many high quality French restaurants nearby.

4 Star Rating This Resturant is aesthetically beautiful. Balthazar is extremely sought after and always busy . Was absolutely packed on a rainy Sunday night . Was a very warm welcome, the poor waiters are so busy they really have a hard time to check on your frequently. So I will not hold that against them for being rather slow . The bib salad was a complete rip off . $21 for the worst salad ever . I was completely shocked for a restaurant of this reputation. Seriously they may as well just give you a head of lettuce and have you just pour your own dressing on because that’s not too far off on how bland and boring was . No vegetables no nothing . Escargot was very good . Dessert was extremely delicious. I would come back to try a few of the entrees. But was seriously disappointed with that salad.

3 Star Rating Interesting bar in the lower level of the building, inside of shaped like the cabin of a boat. Definitely get the seafood here, and definitely go for the specialty oysters as those are much better than the regular oysters. I particularly like the wasabi one. The steak was too salty, and the arugula salad was a bit weird. The beet salad was good, though, and a lobster always just so-so compared with Luke's lobster roll. The seafood tower was a good mix of different pieces, though a little light on some of the sauce. Uni pasta was great, a bit spicy. Service was really good, at least to start until it became busy. Then it took a while to get any refills on drinks and water other than when they were bringing food to the table.

5 Star Rating Walked in during peak traffic and was lucky to get a seat at the sushi bar. Great atmosphere and the decor is so cool. Not sure if they were short-staffed but service was really slow and at times, it was difficult to get a hold of our waitress. However, in the brief moments that we did get her attention, the waitress was really nice, answered our many questions and she did accommodate us really well in the end. Service aside, the rolls were delicious! I paired my food with sparkling cuvée prestige and it was perfect! I wouldn’t get the oysters again nor the lychee martini but everything else was fantastic!

5 Star Rating There are a handful of restaurants that make me feel what "More Than A Woman (SG's Paradise Edit)" makes me feel: Somber, inspired, reflective, and appreciative. Lure Fishbar is one of these restaurants......... sorry I'm just in the coffee shop vibing so hard to this song rn ahahaha it has me floatin. Upon entering through the steps below the Prada store, it took me a bit longer than I'd like to admit to realize that the inside was shaped after the cabin of a boat. Like halfway through dinner I realized and almost shared my revelation with the table, but was like nah everyone else forsure realized that RIGHT when they walked in ahahaha. We had a sushi heavy meal that consisted of Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice, Shrimp Tempura appetizer, Lure House Roll, Tuna Hell Fire Roll, Yellow Tail Jalapeno roll, Lobster Tempura Roll, and a few others but the red wine was taking the wheel at that point. The all stars for me were the Lure House Roll and the Tuna Hell Fire Roll. The Hell Fire Roll came with this Kimchi sauce on the side that was unlike anything I've ever had in the best way possible. It's these kind of creative risks in the food realm that keep me inspired and keep my faith in humanity alive. Some of the best sushi I've had in the city. That shrimp tempura app was actually CRACKIN too that's a must get. After we finished our meal, we began to take interest in a table over my right shoulder which had to be an early-stage date for this cute couple. Bro got the glass Voss water, that’s how you KNOW. However, this girl would NOT get off her phone. She took a call at the table, was pounding that Iphone screen with her thumbs, and at one point even got up and stepped outside for like 10 minutes, but wasn't even on a call, was still just texting. Meanwhile, bro was just sitting alone DESTROYING those deviled eggs and martini while checking the weather app ahaha. Poor guy. We as a table were like nah this is actually insane, he needs to get a box for those deviled eggs and dip out. Maybe it was a real emergency for her, but if it was she should have apologized and left? It turned out to be like a 20 minute ordeal where she was outside or just on her phone and then we were like we gotta go it's gettin late. Wild. Anyways, all this to say there is some fantastic people watching here on top of high quality food and an elite ambiance. Lure is a unique and special place, and has kept its soul and character despite being so popular for 20 years and counting. Everyone who likes seafood should experience this place at least once. THANK YOU LURE! IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov__

4 Star Rating Went on a hot date Saturday night to celebrate my birthday. I love pizza so I was really excited. Ambiance was nice but this place was super packed...Wait time was two hours, even to sit at the bar you need a reservation! We got lucky and got seated after a few minutes 😁 service was great, calamari was amazing ! It's a must, hot and crispy with a hint of spicy. Marinara sauce was perfect. The pizza was okay, it was super thin (not my fave) my friend tried to fold it, the way we true new yorkers eat pizza but it cracked from being so crispy and thin, at least it was really flavorful, we enjoyed it. The drinks were really good and strong. I had the Irish mule and I was happy with it. The server gave me a tiny pizza box with chocolate for being the birthday girl, I thought that was really nice. Overall had a great time and I would go back🙂

5 Star Rating I have been wanting to try Rubirosa for such a long time and was finally able to this past week. A friend and I went for lunch on a Tuesday with a 1pm reservation though we probably could have just walked in. The restaurant is larger than I was expecting it to be with 3 rooms of seating. It smelled absolutely divine when we walked in which was a great start to the meal! We split the broccoli rabe, pasta ragu and a small half/half pizza with the tie dye and the honey pie. I know that they are famous for their tie dye pizza and it was good but we thought the honey pie was even better. Pasta and broccoli were also tops! Looking forward to coming back and trying more dishes.

5 Star Rating My first visit to Rubirosa and I left speechless. High quality food with a fresh homemade taste. The hosts were kind and immediately brought us to our table. The staff were knowledgeable about their menu, caring, quick, and very hospitable. I don’t think my glass of water ever emptied before it was refilled. The quality of the food was out of this world. Quick service, but you can tell it was freshly made simply based on the authentic taste. I could not stop dipping in the marinara sauce. As a gluten free & vegetarian diner, it is often hard to find restaurants that cater to both. Rubirosa is in a class of its own for this. An extensive gluten free menu, with so many options that I have not been able to enjoy in years! The Rigatoni alla Vodka was out of this world in flavor. Dessert was also scrumptious. Highly recommended for a lovely date night, family dinner, business dinner, or honestly anything. Their team is outstanding. Can’t wait to return.

3 Star Rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Visited Osteria Moroni in SoHo, drawn by its fusion Italian menu. The food we ordered was decent - it hit the 'okay' mark but didn't quite dazzle the taste buds. However, the high price tag, especially for the wine and drinks, felt a bit steep. Considering the location, some premium is expected, but just a few blocks away, there are spots offering more authentic and value-packed Italian experiences. A fair choice if you're nearby, but there's more to explore in the area for Italian cuisine enthusiasts. 🍝🍷📍

4 Star Rating Went as a group of 4, got 4 pastas and a couple apps. The food was all pretty good but nothing was particularly mind blowing. Of the pastas my favorites were the pumpkin ravioli and the fusilli. Based on portion sizes of the savory dishes, we got 3 desserts which were absolutely massive. The tiramisu is good but not liquored enough. Loved the olive oil cake, and could’ve skipped the affogato. The place was quite lovely and cozy, very much like a restaurant that has been buzzy for a long time.

5 Star Rating Came here with some friends to try and catch the Industry Pasta night, which they still have on Wednesdays from 4-6pm. Sadly, we didn't get to enjoy the discount since our waiter didn't know about the promotion and misinformed us that it had ended. Make sure you ask your waiter to double check with the manager if they refuse to honor the promotion. The pasta dishes were $27 each. However, they do make all their pastas fresh, in house, so I think it's worth the price! We opted to sit outside since it was a nice day but honestly, I think sitting inside is a much better choice because the AC is strong, and the interior looks very classy and elegant. Perfect for a romantic date night, especially given the dim lighting. We ordered calamari for the table and it was so crispy and delicious! Portion size was fair and since it was happy hour, it was $12 instead of $17. Our waiters were very attentive and kept popping in to see if we needed anything. We took our time with the calamari since we were chatting, but our pastas were still served warm. I ordered the Cappelletti, a dish with cute little truffle cheese ravioli sitting in a butter sauce with prosciutto. I wish there was more prosciutto and it hadn't been cooked, but that's a minor detail. The ravioli were so soft and a dream to eat. The atmosphere and food here make for a great dinner. Their menu also has pizzas, meat dishes, and cheese plates which I will surely be back to try.

4 Star Rating Finally got to eat here without having to wait. I went during dinner time and I really enjoyed the old-school diner vibes. This place is small, but adorable. I got the two most famous pastas. The garlic bread is a must just spend the extra three dollars and make it a deluxe! You get like a bowl, full of marinara sauce and ricotta. The pasta definitely lived up to its name. I can’t speak about anything else on the menu but willing to try again if I’m ever able to. They’re typically super busy .

5 Star Rating Highly recommend! My friend and I chose to dine at Parm after our first choice had a long wait, and it turned out to be the best decision. We found seats at the bar and indulged in garlic bread, eggplant parm, penne scampi, pizza knots (although I forgot to snap a picture), and some drinks. The food at Parm is exceptionally delicious and satisfying. I'll definitely be returning. But what truly made our night extraordinary was meeting Manager Franky. Customer service is vital, and Franky exceeded all expectations. His incredible spirit, warm welcome, regular check-ins, and treating us like family made our night unforgettable. Thanks to Franky, I'll be a regular at this location, savoring great meals. Every staff member at Parm was equally friendly. Big thanks to Franky! I'll be back soon.

5 Star Rating Honestly I was so unsure of this place. My father and I were both really hungry and just needed somewhere to eat so it was kind of random we chose this place. It was jam packed— so if you want to go on the weekend I’d get a reservation— and they ended up sitting us at the bar. I didn’t love the menu so I ended up just getting a soup, but omg I am so glad I did. This soup was literally so good. Warm salty chicken broth with chicken meatballs, little elbow noodles, beans, and a little bit of cheese. While these ingredients feel like they shouldn’t work together, they really do. It feels like something your mom made out of stuff you had left in pantry— and I mean that in a good way. The soup came with two pieces of sourdough, which I thought were too charred, but ended up working well dipped in the soup. The service was good and the prices are reasonable, overall a really good lunch or brunch place.

3 Star Rating We stopped into The Grey Dog for lunch because our first lunch spot had too long of a wait and it was close by. Unfortunately, I wish we had traveled a bit further to find another restaurant because we left The Grey Dog disappointed. We ordered the fried tofu appetizer, crispy rice bowl with tofu, and the fried chicken sandwich with greens. The fried tofu dish wasn’t bad. It came with a creamy cilantro sauce and balsamic vinegar. I didn’t think the balsamic vinegar paired well with the tofu but was happy with the cilantro sauce. The fried chicken sandwich wasn’t bad but also wasn’t anything to write home about. The best thing on the plate was the fries, and I didn’t even ask for them. I asked for greens and they had mixed up my order, but I give them a pass because our server offered to bring out a complementary plate of greens which I politely declined. The crispy rice bowl was not good at all. There didn’t seem to be much cohesion of the dish since none of the ingredients seemed to go well together. I particularly found the giant slop of cherry tomatoes unappetizing. Overall, I was fairly disappointed in our visit to The Grey Dog. In a city like Manhattan I expected long-standing restaurants to be worth their salt but quickly realized mediocre establishments exist everywhere. The only consolation of The Grey Dog was that their portions sizes were quite generous.

We got the mussels, bistec, pollo, camarones and chicharrón tacos which were all mouthwatering. We also ordered the queso fundido (10/10!). I give a 4 because the hostess legit gave us looks all night and made us feel uncomfortable for being a group of 9 sat in the bar area (which we were told we could be sat there without a reservation).
