5 Star Rating Absolutely loved it here! We’ve wanted to try this spot for awhile; I’m so glad we were able to come for dinner. We didn’t have reservations, showed up at 4:40 and they told us to come back at 5:00 pm, because that’s when they begin seating for dinner. I ordered an iced tea, steak frites, mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. Everything was delicious and very fresh. There was plenty to share and the sides we ordered were for the table. I’ll definitely be back again soon to order the steak again. It was the best steak I’ve gotten in the city; it was juicy and hot. I loved it. We want to come back for brunch too; their breakfast options looked great too. There is also a pastry shop next door where you can order drinks and snacks. There was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I’ll definitely be back again soon.

5 Star Rating Delicious food and good service. What more could you want? Got the mac & cheese and the steak frites, both were excellent. Portions were quite big for us, and we were stuffed. Needless to say, no dessert. The restaurant is also a bakery, which has very tasty bread. Overall a great experience!

4 Star Rating This place is a great restaurant. The atmosphere really reflects a parisian Bistro. The food is very good. I gave a neutral stars rating for the service, not because it was bad, but because the waiters were very busy so they were kinda in a hurry to take our order and it took them a while to check on us to see if we needed anything else, on and off the menu. Anyways, I really recommend to have lunch or dinner there, preferably not at the peak hours and you'll probably a 5 star experience

5 Star Rating ✨ A little slice of Paris in the heart of New York! We walked into Balthazar on a rainy day without a reservation — and somehow got lucky with a table outside. The drizzle only added to the charm and made the experience unforgettable. The portions are generous, the flavors divine. Every dish felt carefully prepared, fresh, and satisfying. The atmosphere was buzzing, yet cozy — and the service was fast, warm, and attentive. Perfect spot for a delicious lunch with that unmistakable French touch. Highly recommend booking in advance — we were lucky, but this place fills up for a reason.

5 Star Rating I’ve been to this restaurant four times now, and every visit has been outstanding. The seafood is incredibly fresh, the staff is always warm, attentive, and makes you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. On top of that, the décor is beautiful; the space is designed to look like the inside of a boat, which adds to the whole dining experience. This has become one of my favorite spots in SoHo.

5 Star Rating Sunday brunch idea- skip the typical cafes and come here! I love when I can get a lobster roll and sushi. My friends and I got brunch here and what I loved is that Lure offers breakfast foods like omelettes but also sushi, lobster rolls and main dishes. Our waiter was so cute and sweet bringing us crab rolls as compliments from the chef. So far this is one of my top seafood and sushi spots for taste, options, and service. I’ll be back & thanks Lure!

5 Star Rating Rubirosa was an amazing dining experience from start to finish! The place has a warm, authentic vibe, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. We started with the fried mozzarella—perfectly crisp on the outside, fresh inside, and served with a marinara sauce that had just the right spicy kick. The tie-dye pizza was outstanding—thin, crispy crust, flavorful sauce, gooey cheese, and tasty pepperoni that all came together beautifully. To top it off, the cheesecake was incredible—light, creamy, and perfectly complemented by a sweet strawberry sauce. Truly a match made in heaven. Highly recommend Rubirosa if you’re looking for delicious food and a great atmosphere in the city!

5 Star Rating I don't think this place is worth the hype or cost but it's fine. Their tie-dye pizza with pesto, vodka, and tomato sauces is worth a try, but it's not winning any awards. The pizza was solid, but the pasta was disappointing. The Lumache with Vodka sauce was lacking any real standout flavor, and vodka sauce amount was fairly meager. The pasta itself was unremarkable.

5 Star Rating Update: Julio, thanks for taking the time to write me back. I now appreciate the complexity that goes into running a restaurant with fantastic food, great value, huge demand, and limited seating. I have revised my review to 5 stars. Thank you Good spot in the heart of downtown. Wish they weren't so crazy about the reservation system. It seems the only way to get a table is to show up and get on the list, then wait 30 mins. The irony of it all is that there are always a ton of tables empty inside. Such is the allure, seems they are just trying to make people wait to increase anticipation. They also wouldn't switch our table as we were right under the AC - they claimed they had "another reservation" but I thought they don't take reservations? Strange. That all said, the food is excellent. Pizza is perfect. Very well priced.

5 Star Rating Located on Nolita, Rubirosa has developed into a much loved Italian restaurant known for their pizza. Wafer thin crusts make it tasty to eat. Beverly and I had lunch here recently for yet another birthday celebration. We had one pizza. One half was the Arugula with tomato sauce, red onion, parmigiana and balsamic and the other half was the “Tie Dye” with a topping of vodka, tomatoes, mozzarella and pesto. We shared a arugula salad anointed with a refredhing lemon vinaigrette that was quite large. The arrival of the pizza was heralded with joy! We ate well and the one slice left I took home. Star, our server, gave me a cookie lit with a candle as we skipped dessert being too full. One can get a reservation on Resy for Rubirosa but as it has become so popular it is at times difficult to snag a reservation. I have been having pizza here for decades and in those days walking in to eat was easy. Aurpita and Michelle, the two charming hostesses, made us feel welcome and gave me hope that I would be able to enjoy lunch here once again.

3 Star Rating it was nice. super cute. got french toast and yes a few parts were undercooked but other than that it was good. nice thick bread and crispy on the outside. the maple butter tasted a little freezer burnt and was a tiny amount. the berry sauce was mostly just a thin sugar syrup with barely any berry. the mint was just a garnish. so yeah it was good but probably won't be back just because it was just good, not great.

The food was amazing. The brunch menu just mouth watering, SO many options. I opted for fried chicken and pancakes with whipped lemony ricotta, my son and husband both had a full breakfast with bacon and eggs and pancakes and avocado, daughter had the French toast. 5 Star Rating If brunch were a religion, Grey Dog in SoHo would be the cathedral — and I’d be showing up early in my Sunday best. We sat at the bar (as always, the only way to do it) and were immediately welcomed like long-lost friends by the kind of staff that actually wants to be there — and it shows. Let’s talk drinks: I started with an espresso martini that could quite literally raise the dead — smooth, strong, and dangerously sippable. Followed it up with their spicy Bloody Mary, which slapped me awake in the best possible way. Spicy, tangy, and perfectly balanced. A+ cocktail game. Food? Don’t even get me started… okay, too late: I had the avocado toast, but switched the poached egg for scrambled (because I’m a rebel like that) and added a side of bacon that deserves its own award. Thick, crispy, salty — bacon dreams are made of this. Every bite was a love letter to my taste buds. My girl went with the breakfast croissant sandwich with eggs and bacon, and I swear I saw her soul leave her body in bliss. Flaky, buttery croissant + perfectly cooked eggs + that same legendary bacon = chef’s kiss. The vibe? Cool without trying too hard. Laid back but buzzing. It’s the kind of spot where creatives sip lattes next to hungover legends chasing redemption with brunch. The soundtrack, the service, the ambiance — everything was just right. Grey Dog, you’ve done it again. Don’t ever change.

5 Star Rating stumbled upon La Esquina Brasserie entirely by accident, walking along Lafayette Street in New York, but what a find it turned out to be! A tour guide had mentioned it, but discovering it on my own made it feel like a hidden gem. The atmosphere was absolutely beautiful. You head down the steps, and it’s like stepping into a secret speakeasy. The lighting was just right, creating a warm and inviting vibe. The barmen were fantastic—friendly, professional, and really added to the experience. The food was another highlight. Their tacos and other dishes were delicious, and the drinks paired perfectly. What surprised me most was how reasonably priced everything was; it felt like a luxury experience without breaking the bank. The crowd there was equally wonderful—friendly, relaxed, and lovely to chat with. It added to the charm of the place. I’d recommend La Esquina Brasserie to anyone looking for a unique and memorable spot in New York. It’s more than a meal—it’s an experience you won’t forget.

4 Star Rating I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the underground speakeasy restaurant La Esquina. Reservation is required to access this one via a guarded door leading to the underground scene with cramped but very lively bar, restaurant and dj scene! Food is generally very good but nothing that particularly stands out as deserving five stars.

4 Star Rating This restaurant may have had the funnest vibe and aesthetic out of all the restaurants we went to. You feel like you are in a street alley in Mexico, as vetted by my Mexican friend. However, the good things somewhat stop there. The food was definitely delicious but for the price and portion I was surprised. My burrito with ribeye from the famous Pat LaFrieda meat purveyors was maybe 5% meat and 90% potato. For the price I’d definitely hope for more. Regardless the vibes of the place were really cool, I just wish the price for the food was more justified.

5 Star Rating I can’t really hate on this place too much because the food is actually good. The only reason why people feel indifferent is because it’s a bit pricy for what it is and feels like a gentrification indicator for a neighborhood. That aside, the tacos are quite delicious. The Fish Tacos would be my recommendation. The Al Pastor was good, but you can find better al pastor in NYC. The Chips and Guacamole are good. You can find their branded chips in Whole Foods for about $7. They do taste very, very good though. Now, not gonna lie, the rice and beans are incredible here. Perfectly salted and flavored. Do not miss ordering these, it’s the hallmark of a good Mexican restaurant.

4 Star Rating Visited to try fondue with my French friend. First time trying fondue for me. Even though I’m not really a cheese person, I really enjoyed the cheese of their classic fondue cause it had that slightly bitter and sour taste in it, which allowed me to not feel too greasy with having the cheese over and over again. In other words, the taste balance of the cheese itself was pretty amazing. However, the bread that came along was so dry and lacked any texture into it, so dipping it into the cheese didn’t necessarily made any synergy, so too bad. They also provided fruits like apple/pear/grape and those sweet flavors went very ugly and weird when dipped into the cheese. My friend said he never saw fruits coming in as part of fondue during his entire life, so I guess it’s not a usual thing?

5 Star Rating I decided to explore all the legendary desserts in New York — after all, I have a sweet tooth, and where better to indulge than NYC? Eileen’s Cheesecake shows up on every list — you simply can’t ignore it if you’re researching the city’s best cheesecakes. It’s a small spot with a charming blue-and-white facade. Inside, it smells a bit like cleaning supplies (they do keep it very clean), with one mirrored wall and another covered in awards and articles. Even though it was closing in less than 30 minutes, the display case was still almost full. Their cheesecakes come in perfectly round shapes, with a flavor for every mood. We tried two: the Original and the Salted Caramel. I was worried about the overly sweet American flavors — but that wasn’t the case here at all! The flavors were well-balanced, and that made the experience even more delightful.

5 Star Rating This was some of the best cheesecake's I've had. Super light and fluffy, sweet but not too sweet, and a great variety of flavors. Their raspberry one in particular is an absolute 10/10. I could eat 5 of those everyday(I won't, because I won't live very long if I do). An absolute must visit if you're ever in NYC.

4 Star Rating Heard a lot of positive reviews about this place had to give it a try, especially for my daughter who has an elephant sized sweet tooth😉. This place does live up to the hype. It’s a very small shop, friendly service, no place to sit, however there is a standing bar table where you can stand and savor your cheese cakes. I tried the coconut and pineapple both were awesome. Will I go out of the way to try them - No ! I will give them a try if I am in the area and would like to have a bite size dessert.

3 Star Rating I guess I had set my expectations too high. I was a little disappointed. The cheese taste was nice and fresh. The portion was enough. However, it was too sweet. The sauce used on top of the strawberry one tasted artificial. It was ruining the integrity. The parts without the sauce were better. In general, I found both of them to be sugary.

5 Star Rating I was in Soho last Tuesday and decided to meet up with some friends of mine who were also in the neighborhood. They suggested we visit Little Ruby's since I've never been there and it was close to where we already were. The place was packed and the atmosphere was such a vibe. Loved the decor and the overall feel of this place. We were greeted by one of the servers with menus and automatically knew what we wanted to order when we saw the selection of food. I ordered The Ruby's Ragu: braised beef short rib with pappardelle noodles, pecorino and burrata. Friend number two ordered The Pesto Pasta: spaghetti, zucchini, baby peas, snap peas, kale, parmesan, creamy pumpkin seed pesto. Friend number three ordered The Classic Cheeseburger: two 3oz beef patties, L.T.O., pickles, American cheese, special sauce on a potato bun. We also had a large Margarita Pitcher to share. My Ragu was good, not over seasoned and the braised beef was cooked to perfection. The noodles were also good and all the ingredients together served its purpose. My friends enjoyed their meals as well because their plates were all licked clean. The one thing I wish I was able to order was some Tequila, however, they only had wine and beer on the menu. Great conversations were had over some good food and Margaritas in this cozy place full of great vibes. Definitely worth checking out.

5 Star Rating Stopped by for dinner and was pleasantly surprised! The shrimp pasta was definitely the highlight — flavorful, perfectly cooked, and satisfying without being too heavy. The atmosphere was lively and service was quick. Great spot for a casual meal with solid portions and good vibes. Would come back to try more dishes.

5 Star Rating Overall rating: 4.7 Wow super cute spot. I actually ate at the cafe portion, but I don’t think it’s a separate location. I wish I sat at the main restaurant. It seems calmer! The cafe is loud. I went with a group of 6 and our initial waiter said they can split 6x ways, but then our other waiter said they couldn’t. When we told them, the original guy did it. But wow, what an odd experience. I ordered the Bronte & it was not good. It sounded good- a hamburger on a sandwich. It was poorly seasoned and I should have gone with a popular pasta. Those that ordered the pasta had rave reviews. I also didn’t drink though others did. Cocktails looked super cute! Seems like a great date spot, not sure if I’d go solo.

5 Star Rating Always a solid option! Everything on the menu is delicious and well served. My favorites: sweet potatoes fries with sour cream, brussel sprout, vodka pasta, pesto pasta, cream chicken pasta, chicken and avocado salad, bronte sandwich. All bowls are also really great. You can walk in. Wait is usually around 40min :)

5 Star Rating Had breakfast here with my kids — they got the Big Breakfast and a burger, and everything was absolutely delicious! The food was fresh, juicy, and super satisfying. Coffee was great too — strong and flavorful, just how I like it. Chill vibe, friendly staff. Totally recommend this spot if you’re in SoHo and want a tasty breakfast or a good cup of coffee.
