This review is just a bit long overdue. March 21st, 2013, was the first and only time I visited this establishment before moving out of NYC. Today, my son and I worked on a salmon recipe a little out of the ordinary, and I was recounting to him and my wife that the last time I tried salmon this outside the box was at this restaurant. It was an unexpectedly pleasant surprise, and I always remember this salmon dish because it was like nothing I had ever tasted before, nor since. The ambiance of the restaurant was unique and cool from what I recall, and next time I’m in Manhattan, I hope to try it again. Regarding the timeliness of the review, I guess better late than never.

This is an old bank vault converted to a restaurant. The risotto was great. The duck was slightly over cooked, but still good. If you are in the financial district this is a great place to stop for a drink. The bar and drink prices were reasonable.

I’m really happy with my experience at Trinity Place! The staff was very attentive and knowledgeable about gluten-free options. They even have a separate gluten-free menu with a great variety of starters and main dishes. I had the tuna tartare and the salmon — both were absolutely delicious! They come with gluten-free bread, but can also be served with regular bread on the side for those who don’t need to eat gluten-free. For the main course, I had the duck risotto, which was spectacular. They also offer gluten-free drinks like beer. Everything was incredibly tasty, and best of all, my stomach felt great afterwards!

We went with 2 friends to enjoy Happy Hour at this place that is incredible for its history and preservation, the drink and food options for Happy Hour are very limited, the woman at the bar was very rude, not friendly at all, we ordered 2 cocktails and told her that later we would have beer to accompany the mini hamburgers and nachos with guacamole, this bartender served all the drinks together and uncorked all the beers, when we asked why she had uncorked them she was very rude responding that she didn't care if we hadn't finished and that it was a rule of the place, we had to cover the mouths of the bottles with a napkin so they wouldn't lose flavor, the male waiters and the other bartender were very friendly, I congratulate you guys for your excellent service.

My employer rented out the bar and restaurant for our annual holiday party, and it did not disappoint. First, the entrance is right across from Zucotti Park, which was lit most beautifully for the holidays. The entrance can be. Bit ticky to find but is about mid way down on Cedar by the park. The decor is definitely unusual, with large bank vault doors, a lot of dark woodwork, gleaming fixtures, and low lighting. We have a fixed menu that was spectacular. Unfortunately I don't know if the menu was comprised of fare that they normally serve or not but if our options were comparable to other offerings on the normal menu, then you'll definitely have a.spectacular meal waiting for you. Also, given that my employer was paying, I have no idea of the overall costs, but given the quality of the food, bar, and service, I would think that the prices would reflect that.

Overall, it was a pleasant experience since I've always wanted to check out this place after it reopened. The steak was definitely top quality, and the server was also very attentive. However, I don't think this place is exceptionally special. It’s just a nice and sophisticated place to enjoy the steak, but nothing too special. Also, the price of the steak is pretty expensive. It's a good place for special occasions. Honestly cesar salad was the only dish that I'd recommend lol and still Cesar salad was too expensive as well

The experience was truly amazing 👍The steak boasts a tender and rich flavor that I find incredibly satisfying. I favor it cooked medium-rare, and this restaurant nails it perfectly. It practically melts in my mouth! The appetizer options are also really impressive. The vibe of the restaurant is fantastic, and the service is top-notch. I will certainly return!🫶🏻💕

Great dinner at The Capital Grille — the steak was perfectly cooked and soft as butter, tuna tartare was full of flavor, sides and salads etc all fresh and tasty.
Great service too!

What says "I love you" more than going to a steakhouse with your person? I figured that this would be quickly booked for Valentine's Day so I booked a month or so in advance. We were seated in a lovely secluded booth and the service was amazing! Loved the atmosphere, ambiance and it wasn't noisy.
For starters we ordered the Tuna Tartar with avocado, mango, and sriracha, which was phenomenal! It really set the bar up there. It was the best tuna tartar I've ever had! For the entree's we had the Porcini-Rubbed bone in Ribeye with the 15 year aged Balsamic, and the Double cut Lamb Rib Chops with mint Gremolata and honey crusted, served with a white wine and shallots jus. We also enjoyed the Au Gratin potatoes and the Creamed Spinach. We also enjoyed the Mango Royale for the drink! It was lovely!
The Ribeye was great, I've never had a steak with a 15 year aged Balsamic, so we were curious ... A little over priced for my taste but, it's all about location. The Lamb was a little overdone for me personally, but otherwise I enjoyed the flavor. We loved the creamed spinach and the Au Gratin... Amazing! We finished off our meal with the Creme Brulee, including raspberries, black berries and blueberries.
Our servers really made us feel welcomed, took pictures of us and were very accommodating. All of the staff were friendly and helpful.
I would love to try them in a different location! I will definitely be back!

As a chain Steakhouse, Capital Grille continues to deliver more or less. Everything was AOK, very good service and good food at your atypical NYC steakhouse prices (not cheap). This was our first time at this location which has an old school classic feel, oak wood, high ceilings, laid back, etc.. We got your typical steakhouse fare, sides - fries, asparagus, lobster mac and steaks of course, lol. It was good though to be honest nothing to rave about.
The acoustics are not the best and where we were seated might as well have been sitting with the table next to us with how loud their conversation was; doubt they even realized it. Not sure why they felt the need to seat us right next to a full table when the section was practically empty. The Female staff and servers were all friendly, professional and more than efficient; really outstanding. No regrets on the visit, but doubt will visit again anytime soon.

The restaurant is small, but the staff is friendly and the food tastes great! During my visit, we had the Carne Asada and the Chicken Enchilada. This is a ground floor establishment with no stairs at the entrance, making it wheel chair friendly. There are vegetarian options on the menu, and the staff is accommodating. Their Pina Colada also tasted great.

Very calm atmosphere. Friendly service and delicious food. I had huevos rancheros, a cappuccino, a michelada, a mojito and a Cadillac margarita! And the owner gave us a complimentary home made appetizer(pictured). All delicious.

Lovely little spot with plenty of character! We stopped in for brunch and left very satisfied. Fair prices and the workers made me feel welcomed from the minute I stepped in. The girlfriend is vegan which can be a nightmare when eating out. However, they are very accommodating with the menu and she was able to eat. The meal was worth every dollar. Ivan, our server, was wonderful and very helpful. Do yourself a favor and stop by if you're in the area!

We had breakfast here on most of the days we were in NYC as it was a great spot, serving honest simple food which tasted great and set us up for busy days of sightseeing.
Classic American refill drip coffee was plentiful and good quality.
Even when it was busy the service was efficient, warm and friendly, remembering our drinks orders and offering helpful advice!
Definitely a spot to visit for breakfast/brunch.

I visited George's several times during my recent trips to NYC, and honestly, it never disappointed. It's a great little spot, perfect for breakfast or lunch—simple, consistent, and exactly what you'd want from a place you're happy to keep returning to. Staff were friendly, the food was always good, and I genuinely looked forward to going back each time. Definitely recommend George's if you're in the area.

this has exceeded my expectations especially in terms of what diners are. normally dingers are a little dingy and food is scrumptious and delicious but you just take it as it is- George’s is homey and warm, it makes you comfortable and is just absolutely delightful.
Never in my life have I had a pancake served to me where my syrup was warmed with thought and care like? I was ??? Oh?? And the pancakes actually were made with strawberries and not just strawberries on top?
I feel safe and cared for- the staff, who were mainly middle aged to elderly were absolutely the sweetest too?
10/10 would recommend, maybe even 100/10 LMAO. but a note- just stick to diner menu cause that’s their specialty honestly

Not recommended for people who want to have tastes 🫠✨
The food is perfectly without any taste 🙃
The gluten free pancake is only the dry pancake, I thought I can choose something on it. Yeah, for the price of anyother pancake 🙃🤪
In the end my boyfriend went to pay and they offered if 15, 18 or 22% tip. He could not say non of them 🙃
Expensive, bad food, but they brought the food and drinks fast 🙃

I recently visited the Chipotle near Battery Park in Manhattan and was disappointed with the experience. The portion size was noticeably smaller compared to other Chipotle locations, especially in California where I live. Even though it’s the same chain, the serving felt much less generous here.
Additionally, the soda machine wasn’t working properly — none of the drinks had carbonation. It felt like drinking sweet, flat water, which was very unpleasant. I mentioned it to the staff, but they didn’t seem concerned and didn’t take any real action to fix it or notify a manager. It gave me the impression that customer feedback isn’t taken seriously at this location.

Worst place to go! The serving person will ignore all what you are trying to say and just be in their own world to pack you for the bill.
They are like interns in office space with no experience. Attitude was at a different level. Start the serve and leave the customer in the middle of serving and ignore.
They packed my bowl with rice as if I had asked for more. No cream no salsa. Dumbo!! I wish I had got my money back as we get in California.
—————— Update. ———-
Went back and they replaced it.

I stopped by Pret a Manager at 5:00 pm, which apparently is equivalent to arriving at a party after the music has stopped and the snacks are gone. I mean, I've seen more extensive menus on a fridge magnet.
But hey, I wasn't entirely unlucky! I scored a delicious yogurt without sugar - because, let's be real, who needs sugar when you're already feeling bitter about the limited options?
In all seriousness, I'm sure Pret a Manager is a great spot...in the morning. Maybe I'll try my luck then. Until next time, I'll just have to pretend I'm on a sugar-free, option-less diet.
P.S. If you're a morning bird, go for it! If you're a afternoon snacker like me...well, may the odds be ever in your favor.

Overall, an amazing place. This is my first time going to the one in Midtown, but I’ve been to the one in the financial district many times. I like the one in Midtown more. I think the service is better. It’s a larger building and the food is better. We got the nachos and chicken sandwiches, and the nachos were amazing. They had tons of delicious toppings. Amazing beer selection.

This place is a huge must to visit on a date, hangout or just to have fun with a group. We came here for restaurant week and the food is amazing, the waiters are super nice and they have games for you to play while you eat and wait! They have a swings area, and huge games outside of the restaurant, while inside the restaurant you can play board games and card games they have for you! Definitely a huge must for this place. Their food was also huge in portions and we got full really fast.

Reserve Cut is known for its steaks, but what really caught us off guard—in the best way—was the sushi. As an appetizer, we had a sushi selection that was truly exceptional: fresh, balanced, and beautifully presented. Honestly, it was the kind of sushi you'd expect from a dedicated Japanese restaurant, not a steakhouse. Major kudos for that surprise.
For the main course, we shared two tomahawks, and they were done perfectly—juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. The overall experience was fantastic, with attentive service and a well-curated menu.
The only downside was the acoustics—it's a bit noisy inside, which makes conversation slightly challenging at times. But if you’re going for the food (and you should), it’s well worth it.

This place is big, and basically gives off a fancy, classic steakhouse vibe. The service was overall pretty good, except I felt like the servers could be trained to be more friendly and professional. One server came by to give what turned out to be an incomplete list of the special menu items. Another server overall seemed like he didn't want to be there.
The food was good, but the temperature was medium on the ribeye when we asked for medium rare. Not a huge deal; I actually think ribeye should be at medium, given its high fat content, but still a technical error from the kitchen staff. The sides we got, fries and broccolini, were excellent.
Overall, we enjoyed the meal. Would come back!

We went during a very busy time, so there was a wait. There is a very large waiting area once we were seated it took a bit for our server to help us because it was so packed. It was two of us. We did not order any drinks they did not have any festive holiday drinks, which is what we were looking for between both of us. We ordered a chicken burger, an American burger, a side salad, and a side of fries. The burgers were great. The salad was great. The fries were a large serving of shoestring fries, but were very cold. I suggest sitting towards the inside or closer to the middle area of the bar because the draft is very cold and it is uncomfortable to sit closer to the door. Our server was great and very attentive. Prices are decent for the portions and there is something for everybody at this restaurant.

Bill's Bar and Burger, West Street. New York City. I found the atmosphere cozy and inviting, with a classic New York feel. The bar staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, making you feel right at home.
The drink menu is extensive, offering a wide variety of cocktails, beers, and wines. I tried a few different cocktails, and each one was expertly crafted and delicious. The bartenders clearly take pride in their work.
The food is also excellent. I had the burgers, and they were juicy and flavorful. The fries were crispy and perfectly seasoned. The portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable for New York City.
If you're looking for a great place to relax and enjoy a drink or a meal in New York City, I highly recommend Bill's Bar. It's a truly special place that offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere, delicious food, and excellent service.

The best coffee in New York. Please stop by and try one of Sydney’s drinks. I originally got a small Machiatto. I took one sip and knew i should have gotten a larger size.
