5 Star Rating The most perfect slice of pizza I've ever had! No exaggeration, the kind you'll have dreams about afterward from thousands of miles away. Got their signature white sauce -- even though the slices are MASSIVE and drizzled with olive oil on top, it's still somehow NOT overly greasy, and I was able to inhale the entire slice without any trouble. Perfectly crisp thin but well risen crust, seasoned well without being too salty, and perfectly flavourful (somewhat subtle and multilayered yet not too bland to taste only of cheese). The service was friendly, warm, and efficient, and there wasn't a line either around noon. HIGHLY recommend going out of your way for this location - will definitely be back next time I'm in the city!

2 Star Rating Quite good pizza and generous size. However please improve your waste management system, paper plates, napkins etc. should go to a composting bin. And pizza boxes into recycling. There is only a bin for landfill. This would make a massive difference for your business as well if you had a bin for the compost in your place and encourage people to put their plates, napkins and food leftovers there! We can reduce waste all together.

4 Star Rating Be careful ordering the Artichoke pizza unless you are sure you like artichokes. Wasn't my cup of tea but the pepperoni slices are amazing. You are eating in a very historic part of the city and that's why I give atmosphere a 5 star rating. Walking distance to Washington Square and from that very spot you can view the Empire State Building on one direction to the north and turn around and see the Freedom tower. Now that's atmosphere! I was treated kindly during my two visits and depending on when you arrive you may have to wait a short time because they get crowded.

2 Star Rating Starting with the positive, the band was nice. The waitress was literally throwing our order on the table and seemed very annoyed by her job. Cocktails were something we wish we didn’t order. Food seemed like a cheap supermarket product. The french fries appeared to be the lowest quality frozen bags. If you don't get to the opening, then it's very probable that you will be squeezed into a very tight place. From the bar you can barely experience anything. The whole experience seems very transactional- the purpose is to take your money without focusing on your experience and satisfaction.

5 Star Rating A night at Blue Note isn’t just a show—it’s an experience that hits every sense. The moment you step in, you’re wrapped in the rich sound of live jazz echoing through the iconic, intimate space. The vibe is electric, yet smooth—perfect for date nights, music lovers, or anyone looking to soak in true NYC culture. But let’s talk about the unexpected star: the food. I ordered a burger and was surprisingly top-tier. Flavorful, fresh, and served fast without skipping quality. The cocktails were equally impressive; my smoked Old Fashioned had that perfect balance of bold and smooth. What sets Blue Note apart is the combination of world-class talent and a full-on dining experience that doesn’t feel like an afterthought. You’re not just catching a set—you’re savoring every moment with a drink in hand and something delicious on your plate. Pro tip: Book early, it fills up fast—and it’s so worth it.

4 Star Rating The Blue Note is a New York City staple, always packed to the brim with music lovers. There’s a $20 minimum per person for seated guests, but that’s easy to meet since most menu items hover around that price. My advice? Go for the artists you truly want to see; when the music is right, the little things that might normally bother you fade into the background. The space is intimate, so arriving early gives you better seating options. Expect to spend a bit, but the experience is worth it.

5 Star Rating We had tickets for the world famous gospel choir. The show was amazing! The drinks and food are a little bit overpriced, with a minimum of 20$ per person, even if you have tickets. The drinks were good, though the waitresses were kind of persistent and were constantly disrupting us during the show in order for us to top up the order or pay.

5 Star Rating I love this place from the bottom of my heart. I was a regular for the 15 years I lived in NYC and now I live in Philly but I still take the train up to go to shows here (only 90 min away believe it or not). There is no better jazz venue in the world. And even aside from the music, the staff is super nice, the food is really good, and since they pack you into tables with strangers, the chances are good you'll strike up a great conversation with a fellow jazz nerd if you feel so inclined.

5 Star Rating This was one of the best places we’ve been to in a very long time. Service is an art and at Babbo, it is masterful. This was equally matched with beautiful presentation, quality and delicious menu items (ingredients, seasonings). It is an enjoyable and calming atmosphere. We had their lobster spaghettoni, pappardelle, tiramisu, and raspberry sorbet. We also highly recommend their appetizers. 4 Star Rating Good food and great service. It's been a while since my first visit and I don't think the food is as good as it used to be. Still a nice dining experience. We were recommended two bottles of very nice wine. Our party shared a number of dishes, including the radiccio salad, rapini with burrata, prosciutto, black ink spaghetti with crab, pasta with rabbit ragu and the pork chop. My favorites were definitely the lasagna and the garganelli with mushrooms. Dessert was disappointing. The pistachio and chocolate semi freddo lacked pistachio flavor. The olive oil cake with gelato was better but I prefer a denser olive oil cake

5 Star Rating We celebrated our anniversary here and I'm so glad we did! This restaurant is super romantic and is a perfect location to celebrate a special occasion. We enjoyed both the service, as well as the food and drinks! The have beautiful roses and candles set at every table - really helps with the romantic mood. Price-wise it was also not over the top expensive, and in my opinion quite worth the experience. For reservation, make sure to book at least a month in advance and request to sit by the windows if possible. Do mention what special occasion you are celebrating! Food wise - I especially liked the Beef Wellington - the beef on the inside was tender while the outside crust was flaky to create that contrast texture. The mushrooms in between was super flavorful and created a really nice in-between layer. I honestly thought it tasted better than the Beef Wellington I had in Gordon Ramsey's Atlantic City steakhouse. My second favorite was the seared foie gras - super tender and given it was served warm, takes away the stickiness in the texture and adds aroma. The Seared Maine Scallops were also pretty good, although pretty typical, and the Lobster risotto was a tad too sticky. For dessert - I loved loved the Raspberry Napoleon!! It was many layers to the right flaky texture, and fruity and sweet to perfection. The chocolate mousse was also very good, just nothing too out of the world for chocolate lovers. Drink wise - We ordered a cabernet sauvignon to to add to the celebration atmosphere, and it also went well with the food. Overall I triple recommend this place for celebrating anniversaries and birthdays, will try to bring my parents here for a future night!

3 Star Rating We went here for my husband’s birthday, expecting a romantic and high-end experience. Instead, the service felt entirely unremarkable—almost as if attention to detail wasn’t part of their business model at all. First, the seating. They placed us at a cramped two-top across from each other, even though there were round tables for two where we could’ve sat side by side—something we would have much preferred. There was nowhere to put my designer bag except the floor, which immediately set the tone for the night. Then came the food. I made it clear that I’m pescatarian, yet they brought out a chef’s compliment: a quail egg with pancetta. When I asked if they could serve it without, the runner went back to the kitchen—only to return and say they couldn’t. How does that make sense? Just don’t put the pancetta on top. Am I crazy for thinking that’s an easy fix? To make it even more absurd, they only left the dish for my husband and took mine away. Since when do restaurants take food back like that? It was half a quail egg. My husband would’ve eaten it—why waste it? To be fair, the food itself was outstanding. The branzino was the best I’ve ever had. But for a birthday treat? They gave us two tiny cookies and two pieces of marmalade. Not exactly a grand gesture. I get the concept. It’s upscale, it’s intimate, it attracts a certain clientele. But let’s be real—$450 for dinner, and nothing about the experience felt special (besides the food). If I’m paying that much, I expect more than just good flavors. There are plenty of places with fresh, delicious food for a fraction of the price and with actual attention to detail. This place wasn’t exclusive or exceptional—it just felt like they knew they could get away with the bare minimum and still charge a premium.

5 Star Rating I got the plain cheese, the cheese pecorino and pepper version and the pepperoni. Pepperoni = 9.7 Plain cheese = 9.2 Pecorino parmesean pepper = 8.4 As you see the pepperoni is to die for. The key ingredient here is the pepperoni which is if high quality. Usually peperoni on pizza is just generic crap but John's of Bleecker St is obviously using a higher grade pepperoni for their pizza. A+. The dough is very good very high quality but not the very best I've ever had. The sauce for their pizza is very good with a super subtle sweet flavor that is like a good marziano tomato. Just tastes fresh and well suited to the pizza. Excellent sauce. The cheese mozzarella is good not the very best I've ever had which would have helped the cheese pizza score more. The pecorino and parm again not the best quality there so that was my least favorite but still am excellent pizza you can't miss. The cook was superb with a not too thin crust that was cooked to perfection for each pie. A+. Worth the wait. They get people in and out. There is a cookie place diwn the street called chips something. That's very good for desert too.

Good crisp and undercarriage are noticeable even though you don’t have to wait a long time for your pizza to cook. Service is top notch as well. These guys were on it and kept things flowing without you feeling like you were being rushed. Atmosphere is truly awesome, you don’t get this vibe from modern restaurants these days. The history and quality of food have kept this at the top for so many years and will continue to do just that. 5 Star Rating Nestled in Manhattan, Family Meal at Blue Hill is a one-Michelin-star gem that delivers an elevated contemporary American dining experience with a farm-to-table philosophy. From the moment you step in, the warm, inviting ambiance transports you to something reminiscent of Los Angeles’ modern dining scene, with sleek decor and a low-lit atmosphere that balances both comfort and intimacy. The four-course meal was beautifully executed, with dishes that showcased the seasonal and farm-fresh ingredients. Though I couldn’t try certain offerings—such as the squid ink and oysters—due to dietary restrictions, the presentation was impeccable, and every other dish delivered on flavor. The meal began with an artisan bread and butter spread that was simple yet indulgent—a promising start. The highlight for me was the tilefish over lentils, a dish that was both buttery and hearty, with perfectly balanced flavors. The grass-fed beef followed, melting in my mouth over Carolina rice sea peas, and topped with crisp kale chips. The side of fennel and celery salad was a thoughtful addition, bringing a refreshing contrast to the richness of the dish. For dessert, the almond ice cream over a buckwheat pancake with caramelized apples was an elegant finale. While I personally could have done without the apples, the combination of flavors and textures made it a satisfying and well-rounded dessert. Overall, Family Meal at Blue Hill is a restaurant I’d highly recommend. The thoughtful execution of farm-to-table cuisine, paired with a welcoming ambiance and impeccable service, makes for a truly special dining experience. Whether you’re a seasoned foodie or simply looking for a memorable night out, this spot is worth visiting.

Food was good but I thought it was overpriced for what it is… I mean, ingredients are fine but I would expect a bit more sophistication in cooking techniques / taste when I’m paying nearly $200. It was fun to got for a special occasion but I don’t really need to go back anytime soon, tbh.

5 Star Rating Nice family style restaurant with a cozy feel to the interior. For lunch, the food was good and it was a lot for 2 people to finish, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. The rice pudding and ice cream with granola at the end was amazing if you like rice pudding

3 Star Rating So…. I’m not sure who would actually like Family Meal. (I think today’s menu is lacking, which might be a reason why the experience is lacking.) As a meat eater, they are terrible at cooking meat in general. If you’re vegetarian, maybe better as their vegetables are indeed unique and fresh, but cooked in the most boring way. They need some pest control… mosquito in wine glass and on guests’ shoulders. Canapés are good especially there’s a wrapped asparagus in a vinegar sauce. First course are three butter with crackers and raw veggies. Yes, you eat the veggies while grabbing the leaves lol. The radish was meh, but the butter was amazing. It also came with fish and oysters. I found the oysters to be tasteless (it’s still fresh but it has zero sea-ness, which honestly diminishes the idea of eating an oyster) Second course was the bread, scramble veggies/trout/eggs, and squid with gar-leeks (garlic and leeks). I would say this course is the best course, even though it’s very brunch-y, and there’s basically no plating design lol. Main course was a choice of chicken or tilefish, served with asparagus and a salad. The tilefish has a significantly smaller portion, and neither choices was good. If you want good tilefish go to GT. The salad has RAW mushrooms, basically tasteless. Last course was a tasteless ice cream (yes it’s tasteless lol) with nuts and cream and apple. Again, GT has a similarly tastes apple and quince tart that’s significantly better. Service was great and the wine selection is EXTREMELY limited but still great (get the Riesling). Honestly Family Meal lacks the experience of walking through the garden and understanding the origins of those vegetables like you would if you’re going to the actual Stone Barnes, and with monotone introduction of the courses, all you get here is just mainly undercooked or scrambled vegetables with meat that I could probably cook better than them.

5 Star Rating Blue hill really lived up to my expectations. The city location is low key space that you you walk into and really do feel that family type dynamic. Small space, not overcrowded & if you get the garden room you walk through / past the kitchen which was fun. The food was insane, it’s farm to table 4 course meal, and they can serve to accommodate any allergy. I couldn’t believe the portions, the flavours, all in all I’d go again.

5 Star Rating I am convinced that might be the best pizza I have ever had. My son tells me it is exactly what he was hoping for and he was not disappointed. The crust was amazing. The cheese was fantastic. The under-char was perfect. The pizza oozes NYC. I'm so glad I went.

5 Star Rating Absolutely the BEST cheese pizza in NYC! Joe’s Pizza is a New York City legend for a reason. The cheese slice here is perfection—crispy, thin crust with just the right amount of chew, tangy tomato sauce, and perfectly melted mozzarella that stretches with every bite. It’s simple, classic, and absolutely addictive. No frills, just authentic NYC street pizza done right. Whether you're a local or visiting the city for the first time, this is a must-stop. Grab a slice, stand at the counter, and experience what real New York pizza is all about. Pro tip: don’t overthink it—just get the cheese slice. It’s what they’re famous for, and it never disappoints.

3 Star Rating I tried all three variations- they were okay if not bland. I was trying to find the flavor and hype especially after not eating all day, it was underwhelming. Nice staff and great New York vibe with some fast service but I wish there were more options and more seasoning in the sauce or something. Price is also pretty good for portion

2 Star Rating I came in with high hopes, but left unsatisfied. I tried 3 slices: cheese, pepperoni, & mozzarella. The positives: •Service was quick & easy •Pizza was moderately priced for its size The negatives: •Cash only (atm is available just outside for a $3.50 service fee - ouch) •Tomato sauce on all 3 slices that we tried were very watery and lacked flavor •Cheese slice lacked personality •Pepperoni slice was slightly better but I had grease dripping onto my fingers and hand •Mozzarella slice was not worth it - couldn’t even taste the [thin] pieces of mozzarella Overall, I wouldn’t recommend. Joe’s is definitely overhyped.

5 Star Rating We loved Joe’s so much we came twice while in town. It was delicious and affordable. It’s not as cheap as some of the places but you pay for quality. For 4 slices of pizza and three drinks we spent $27. This location is cash only so beware of that. They do have an ATM out front. The staff was super friendly. Highly recommend coming here. Multiple locations throughout the city. I would skip the Times Square location due to the crowds.
