The food here more than makes up for the claustrophobia you feel when you enter this place. You may be sandwiched in between people as you give the cashier your food order depending on when you go. Late night tends to be the most active as well as weekends. Obviously it’s namesake pizza, the artichoke pizza is a fan favorite, and even though it’s good, I find that the vodka pizza is even better. The dough is freshly made a is the sauce used on the pizza, no artificial flavors(that I can detect) and even thought the price is somewhat steep compared to other places. If you’re looking for an above average pizza place that’s hits all the right food buttons, I would recommend this place. Most places are carry out but if you don’t mind eating standing up, then you would do well here.

One of my favorite pizza places in town. So good! I love their artichoke spinach pizza and the vodka pizza the best. Just amazing good!

It’s an amazing place for their speciality artichoke pizza. There are other options which was good too I personally liked the crab pizza. Street parking available but don’t count on it. Walkable from Washington square park , there are couple of seating available for dining in but best bet is takeaway. Would def recommend and come back.

I would say this is one of the most favorite pizza in NYC! For $6 their pizza is hella big! Try the artichoke one, its really good!
Kristi Sitohang - a week ago
Worth every penny of the $7 and some change artichoke slice. Insanely good. Somehow smooth creamy but not runny. Tasted like the best part of artichoke dip on top of delicious pizza crust. Ten out of ten would never walk by a location and not get a slice. Crazy good in a city with good cheap slices already.

I went to Blue Note with four friends to see a jazz band, and the performance was incredible — a true New York jazz experience. I had booked bar seats because I knew they were the more affordable option.
My friends entered a bit earlier, and the waiter seated them at a table, saying it was better than the bar. When I arrived, we were told we could keep the table for an extra $20 per person, plus a $25 minimum. The view was great, but the extra charge felt unexpected.
The drinks were excellent, and the music was outstanding. The only downside was that the room was quite cold — we kept our jackets on during the show.
Overall, a memorable night with fantastic music, but a few details could be improved.

Blue Note has long ago secured it's place in Jazz history internationally, and continues to showcase the best of the best.
There is a $20 minimum at the bar, which is limited and also all the way to the side, so don't expect to get good views.
The sound system is excellent, though, and the food good.
If you love the artist you're going to see, spring for a table, get your tickets early, and get there early, as all seating is first-come first-served!
Phil V - a month ago
If you want to enjoy a good jazz show definitely purchase the tickets for the tables but try to get there early like 1 hour before the show so you can eat and get the best seats for the show. It gets crowded but all the servers move fast.
The tables are shared, so keep it in mind.
The drinks were really good! The food was just ok.
The live music was awesome. And by the end of the show everyone was dancing and enjoying themselves.
Ann Suárez - 2 months ago
Rumor said it was over priced and over rated. I experienced NONE of that. Had a fantastic evening with The Soul Rebels & Friends Holiday Throwdown!! Wow, what energy! They got the whole place dancing! Food was also good and served quickly and flawlessly. Highly recommend to spend small evening!

One of the best Italian restaurants in NYC! World class handmade pastas made with precision and expertise. Legendary chef Mark Ladner at the helm. Flawless service and beautiful charming ambiance. A must go to restaurant.

Staff was wonderful - super friendly and helpful. And as a solo diner I was made to feel especially welcome which I always appreciate. The ambiance/vibe is a little too old school/corporate for me but I'm sure this is going to be a very popular spot for business/client dinners etc. I ordered the fish crudo (3 types), the vongole pasta, the zabaglioni and I had two glasses of wine. It was good but not remarkable. The highlight for me was the cheese served with the bread at the start of the meal. I believe it was mascarpone and it was absolutely scrumptious.

This restaurant is spectacular. It is excellence to a T. The service is warm! The food is amazing. Definitely get the 100 layer lasagna, the angry lobster, the bee pollen tortellini! We also enjoyed the broccolini and the escarole salad. The broccolini side was the best broccolini I’ve ever had. The panna cotta was amazing. This place is definitely for the cultured person
Julia Danitz - 2 months ago
On the outside, it appears to be a humble, even ordinary Greenwich Village establishment, but when you walk inside it’s a gorgeous experience that delivers the strengths of fine dining without the usual stuffiness. The service is extraordinary, the food is excellent, and the ambiance is second to none. Highly recommend the bee pollen goat cheese torteloni. The lasagna is excellent too if you have 3-4 people. Will definitely return

One If by Land, Two If by Sea was absolutely spectacular. Walking in felt like stepping into a storybook—the soaring ceilings, glowing chandeliers, and beautiful holiday décor created the most magical atmosphere.
The food was outstanding from start to finish. The escargot was perfectly prepared, the Beef Wellington was exceptional, the French onion consommé was rich and comforting, and the chocolate soufflé was the perfect ending. Every dish felt special. They offer both a three-course prix fixe and a seven-course tasting menu, which makes the experience feel even more elevated. Yes, it’s expensive—but absolutely worth it for a special occasion or a truly memorable night out. The pianist sat right in front of us and played so gently it felt like the music was floating in the background—elegant, intimate, and unforgettable. The service was impeccable, the cocktails were just as wonderful as the food, and the entire evening felt incredibly romantic. A truly unforgettable dining experience and easily one of the most romantic restaurants in New York.

I had the pleasure of taking my wife here for our anniversary, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. From the moment I made the reservations, the staff graciously accommodated all my requests. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted at the door and assisted with our coats, setting the perfect tone. The atmosphere was enchanting, and the chef’s curated courses were nothing short of amazing, with outstanding food selections. The customer service (our waiter Albert was great) and hospitality were impeccable throughout. No complaints whatsoever—just pure delight for the evening. If you’re planning on visiting there’s a parking lot right across the street

Probably the most romantic restaurant we have been to in NYC. Recommend asking for the window seats overlooking the garden - so pretty. The food was good - we went for the 3 course fixed menu ($165 each) but the beef wellington was so large. Felt like we were paying for such a unnecessary portion that we ended up leaving half which felt so wasteful. We weren't coming away raving about the food and as everywhere in NYC it was expensive. You are more paying for the vibes and how romantic it is. There is live music which really added to the ambience. The service was good but felt over the top with multiple servers per table.
Daniele Phillips - 2 months ago
I booked this for our 10 year anniversary, talk about romantic, candle light dinner. The staff was right there for every move, cleaning up, taking dishes. We did the 3 course meal choice 😋 👌 😉
French soup, salmon, chocolate
Thise were my 3 along with an "Oldest Fashioned"
Every course we had was simply delicious. A lot of care goes into plating the dish and the presentation when serving it
This is a 5 Star experience with a 5 Star price...worth every penny

SUPER OVERPRICED!
I overall like the restaurant! Dim lighting, piano, tables are so nice. Price is super high though! They force you to order 3 course meal which is 160$ for each person and at the end of the night we ended up paying 500 dollars for 2 people. I think it’s way too much for the food, service and experience we’ve received. It’s super overpriced. And our waiter smelled stinky.. he definitely needed a shower..unfortunately.

The skirt steak tacos are delicious - but the portions here are tiny. The prices have been going way up over the years. Because of that, I don’t come here as often as I used to.

Brunch is the way to go here. The menu is exactly the same as dinner, and you get to pick and choose all the food you would ever want to try for $20 for 90 minutes. For an additional $16, you can have unlimited drinks. We came on St Patrick’s Day where they colored their margaritas green. Service was impeccable and prompt, and all the food was delicious. We had all of the tacos, tamales, and quesadillas. Don’t forget dessert. The churros are a must!

The best taco shop in the entire West Village, maybe even best in southern Manhattan. Amazing food, drinks, atmosphere and service.
Hands down the best steak tacos I have had in any borough. Every time I have eaten here it has been an absolute delight. They even have a $20 happy hour special: Three tacos and a drink and it's well worth the price!
Angel works Monday through Thursday and makes the best Mango Margarita (frozen and straight) I have ever tasted. A hidden gem of the West Village that deserves way more credit than it's given.

For a Mexican restaurant you definitely expect more flavor in the food. People were really enjoying their drinks though however they do not accommodate for people who do not drink alcohol. The staff did not make and would not make Virgin mocktails. The nachos are not salted either. The best thing was dessert. Don't skip out on those plantains. YUM!

This was undoubtedly one of the best Italian meals I’ve had since living in NYC! Highly recommend the carciofi fritti (fried calamari), arancini (risotto balls), ravioli Cacio e Pepe (very rich) and Candele Spezzate alla Genovese with GF pene (INCREDIBLE)!!! The La Vie en Rose cocktail was refreshing and the Brunello was delicious. The atmosphere at lunchtime was lovely and the staff were are super friendly. I cannot wait to come back to this restaurant and try everything! The menu was clearly labeled for gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options. Staff was able to easily accommodate allergies to gluten, nuts, coconut and sesame.

Such a beautifully decorated and charming restaurant serving some of the best Italian cuisine I have ever had! Their homemade pastas were incredibly executed, and the flavors were out of this world. The Focaccia and olive oil came out warm and perfectly toasted. The risotto was truly life changing and an absolute must try. Highly recommend dining in the covered outdoor patio as the atmosphere was wonderful. Palma has easily become one of my favorites of all time! Would come back again and again as this place is a destination in itself.

We finally made it to Palma and everything was fantastic. It was the day after Christmas and it was snowing so it was quieter than usual according to the bartender, Kacey. She was fantastic and made perfect recommendations.
We had the focaccia, Tuna Tartare, octopus, meatballs, and Candele Spezzate alla Genovese. Everything was delicious, perfectly balanced and seasoned especially the Candele which we were told is seasonal so it will be off the menu by spring. Go get it!!
We finished with one the best tiramisus we’ve ever had.

An Absolute West Village Gem!
We just had the most magnificent lunch at Palma and I am still dreaming about it! This restaurant is a true destination.
The design and decor are super charming—it feels like stepping into a sun-drenched Italian villa. We were lucky enough to dine in their outdoor covered patio space, and I highly recommend it. It was incredibly romantic and intimate, perfect for a special meal with my partner.
We started by sharing the delectable tomato tart along with the radicchio and fig salad. Both were light, fresh, and beautifully executed, proving that even the simplest dishes here are crafted with care.
For our main courses, the kitchen really shined:
* My partner’s Chicken Milanese was perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside, and wonderfully moist and juicy inside.
* My fresh cod was divine! It was served atop a rich hazelnut cream sauce and complemented by fresh, earthy chanterelle mushrooms.
Every bite, from start to finish, was pure joy. Adding to the wonderful atmosphere was the welcoming and friendly hospitality of the staff, which made us feel completely at home.
We loved our experience so much that we are already planning a return trip before we leave the city! We can’t recommend Palma enough for a delicious and memorable dining experience.

Safe to say this is one of the best Italian restaurants in NYC. Food is phenomenal, service is top notch, and the atmosphere is welcoming / beautiful.
Started out with focaccia and artichoke. Loved both, fully recommend them! Focaccia was so perfect, airy, soft, delicious. The artichoke was super good! You don’t usually see this dish so I thought it was unique and a phenomenal dish! The cheese added a super good flavor profile.
Entrees we went with were the tortellini in butter/sage + the ragu. Both here were also delicious. The ragu had tons of meat and the tomato sauce was great. The tortellini was stuffed with a delicious buffalo cheese.
Ended the meal off with the tiramisu which was a highlight. We’ve traveled around Italy and this tiramisu was top tier.
Service here was super good. Many touch points between the weight staff and our table. The atmosphere was very enjoyable, not very loud. Thought the decor and vibe were A+. Hope to sit in the back room next time. Also the tables are spread out pretty far which is nice so you’re not right next to people which a lot of other restaurants do.
I would 100% recommend this restaurant to anyone just make sure to book your reservation as far in advance

I stopped by the Blind Tiger on a Thursday earlier in December and had a great time. I only had drinks, so I can’t comment on the food, but the bar itself was buzzing. It was absolutely packed and standing room only, and the bar was easily two to three people deep. Despite that, the bartenders were on point and had me a beer in under five minutes, which honestly exceeded my expectations.
The hardest part was choosing what to drink because their beer list is massive. I started with a Tilted Barn Kölsch and followed it up with a Captain Lawrence Liquid Gold. I originally planned on just one beer, but there is a two beer minimum when using a credit card, and I had no complaints. I enjoyed some good music and caught the Knicks game on TV while enjoying the music.
Next time I am in this part of NYC, I will definitely be back to explore more of their impressive beer menu, hopefully with a little more elbow room!
Joe Donnelly - a week ago
My favorite bar in NYC, hands down. I came here for the first time a few years ago when I was getting big into craft beer, and had heard that one the best tap lists in the world was here. It has never disappointed, and I’ve been back about 15 times.
The variety and selection is always incredible. Maine Beer Company, Grimm, The Alchemist, Other Half, Hudson Valley, you name it. And tons of more niche microbreweries, local and otherwise.
The bartenders are always super nice. I’m a Mets fan and they put on the games sometimes. There’s a family tree of beers on the wall that I could stare at for an hour. And they give you a plaque on the wall if you ask a bartender to join the connoisseur club and drink 50 beers over time. Still on my way in that regard!
Be aware it can get extremely crowded at peak hours. Usually it’s not too bad for happy hour or later at night, and any non-weekend day is pretty spacious, but 10pm on a Friday can be pretty slammed. Regardless, if you find yourself in the neighborhood and have the time, stop by and try a couple new beers!
Jeff Melvin - 3 months ago
The menu goes well with the beer and the beer is phenomenal. This is an institution and deserves a formal attestation from the beer gods! The quirks that exist are part of the charm and not part of the problem. You will find guides and friends here hiding in plain sight. The selection the guidance and the experience is what matters and that is more golden than what will end up in your glass. Run don’t walk.
Nilesh Patel - 5 months ago
Awesome selection of rotating taps with a great variety of beers. Their online draft list links directly to Untappd, so you can check out reviews of their selection before making your choice. Decent prices overall and helpful bartenders. The main bar area can get loud, but there's also outdoor seating (limited) for when the weather is nice and you want to relax. Love this place.
Reed Fabek - 6 months ago
It's packed on weekends. Number 8, although I think it's the best, only serves half a glass. I don't know if that's how they serve this type of beer, but I'd only come because they have a beer with 9.5% alcohol.

This NY style pizza was delicious, but a little bit on the pricier side. There was a line that we had to wait in outside, but it moved fairly quickly and they were able to accommodate us after 10-15 minutes. I highly recommend their classic cheese pizza. The kiddos loved it! Their atmosphere was cheery and friendly and our waiter was very kind. Bring cash if you go, as there is a 4% cash discount.

Best pizza EVER! The crust was perfectly crisp and the taste was just indescribable. We ordered the margarita and we made our own pizza. The basil on the margarita was super fresh and it was so tasty. The waiter was also rly friendly. On the walls, there were picture of celebrities that have ate at the restaurant. I personally thought it was rly cool. Highly, highly, highly!! Recommend.

we came for a slice of authentic nyc pizza, that odd ball “one bite you know the rules” guy rated this place highly, so it was on our list. waited outside in the cold for 30 minutes, once we got inside and so I just have small and tightly packed the places we understood why. No complaints, pizza was great, seeing the guys in the kitchen, hustling pizzas out, and watching their system was entertaining and impressive. Would go back, can see why it’s popular. Definitely helped make our nyc experience with the kids compete

Annother New York institution I couldnt miss. Once again, I was very impressed. This was my favorite slice I had in the city!
The place is comfy in a lived-in way, the staff is quick/efficient (mostly leaving you alone), and the pizza was perfect (especially if you season it).
I thuroughly enjoyed my experience and I hope to go back again.
Tip: The line builds fast so I would recommend a meal on the early side here.

This has to be one of the best Michelin-starred meals I've ever had in NYC. I randomly went for lunch because I'm trying to visit every Michelin spot in the city, and honestly I don't know why it took me so long to finally get to Blue Hill.
The restaurant is tucked away in the cutest neighborhood, and the interior has a Scandinavian-meets-farmhouse vibe that feels clean, calm, and cozy. As soon as I sat down, it felt warm and homey in the best way. Lunch is $85 for a three-course menu, and I highly recommend it. There's no printed menu; they simply bring you what's in season, which I loved since I'm in my veggie era. Leave the thinking to them.
First Course:
We started with a plate of raw radishes, baby turnips, rye crisps, and an herbed crème fraîche dip topped with dill. Simple but so fresh. The only thing I didn't love was the crackers, which had a bit of a cardboard-like mouthfeel. Then came a seasonal vegetable broth with squash, greens, and a dollop of crème fraîche. It was genuinely one of the best soups I've had anywhere
Second Course:
The main course came with a perfectly balanced little gem salad, roasted carrots, the creamiest mashed potato purée, slices of homemade whole-grain bread, and a flaky, crusty meat pie that was rich and comforting. Everything tasted super seasonal and thoughtful.
Dessert:
We finished with a warm apple crumble topped with a silky, tangy cream. The perfect ending.
Blue Hill completely exceeded my expectations. The food is incredibly clean, seasonal, and well-executed, and the space is beautiful. I'd absolutely come back, especially at such a reasonable price point.

The place has a beautiful and cozy ambience and the service was great. The first course of our meal was fantastic and set high expectations - the crème fraiche and buckwheat soil was so delicious I could eat that everyday.
Unfortunately the later courses were a bit of a let down for us. The leeks were too tough, the raw chicory was too bitter and not sufficiently complemented by the sauces, the turmeric ice cream was interesting at best.
The focus was on featuring the fresh produce and I think they did a good job at that.

Honestly words can’t explain the experience, everything was perfect! The food, the service, and the atmosphere were top notch and well curated. The family style was extremely unique, with ingredients I’ve never or rarely seen in other restaurants. Bonus points for a very interesting wine pairing throughout the meal. The atmosphere is very cozy and welcoming, honestly perfect for a special date, a business meeting, or catching up with friends and family.

This experience was one of the best dining experiences I've had. Every dish we had here was spot on, fresh and inventive. The place is upscale cozy; you feel like you're inside someone's super nice living room. The service is outstanding, even bringing us a second order of the whole wheat focaccia (probably the best focaccia I've ever had). They switch up their menu according to what they can get at the farmer's market that day, so it will always be a good place to come back to.
Well deserved michelin star. Hoping to come back soon!

This is also New York trip. Love New York because there are many great restaurants there. Hubby took me here to celebrate my bday. It wasn’t disappointed. Restaurant was very cozy inside, also there was an outdoor patio as well, full bar, food and veggies were fresh. This restaurant was featured on Netflix for the Chef’s Table Series and the Chef on this restaurant was on there. Staffs were nice, the whole dining experience was nice. Flavor was very different than I have tasted anywhere else. Unique. There are streets parking, but like I said we uber everywhere in New York. We always make rsvp so there wasn’t a wait for us. It’s a prefixed menu with just $150 per person and with wine pairing was additional $95. Very decent for New York

Cash only, $5.50 for pepperoni slice and $4.50 for regular. Customer service is apathetic, no greetings. I did take out and they barely had the pizza in the oven for a minute before handing it to me. No napkins. The pizza is ok, not a bad pizza, nice cheese to sauce ratio. Sauce is slightly sweet and tangy. Good crust, it was a good pizza, just not $5.50/$4.50 worth in my opinion.

The pizza at Joe’s Pizza was very good, and the slices are huge! It was exactly what we were looking for.
We didn’t realize it was cash-only, but thankfully there’s an ATM right outside the shop, which made it easy. There wasn’t a line when we stopped in on February 16th, so it was a quick and convenient visit.
We chose this spot over John’s because we wanted to grab individual slices rather than order a whole pie. It was the perfect choice for a fast, no-fuss stop. There isn’t much seating, but we weren’t expecting there to be.
We would definitely go again!

Joe’s Pizza in NYC has been on my food bucket list for ages, and I finally made the stop. I still remember watching Worth It on BuzzFeed years ago when they crowned Joe’s as the “most worth it” pizza, so there was definitely some nostalgia walking through those doors.
I ordered the classic cheese slice — simple, timeless, and honestly the best way to judge a good pizzeria. It didn’t disappoint. The cheese was fresh and melty without being greasy, the sauce had that perfect tang, and the crust… chef’s kiss. It had just the right thickness with a crispy crunch that somehow still stayed soft inside. Exactly what you want from a New York slice.
In today’s economy, finding something tasty, reliable, and filling feels like a small win, and Joe’s definitely delivers on that comfort factor. It’s nothing overly fancy, but that’s the charm. It’s just solid, satisfying pizza that hits the spot.
Would I come back? Absolutely. It may not be life-changing, but it’s definitely a staple worth trying — especially if you grew up watching the same food videos that made Joe’s a must-visit in the first place.

We wanted to try NYC style pizza and the reviews for Joe’s pizza were as outstanding. We reached the place and there we see a huge line to get the pizza by slice or whole pie.
We told ourselves that this is it. It shall be worth the wait.
It took about 30-40 minutes to get to order and get the pie.
It was okay not the best that we had. I didn’t understand how come it’s rated this high on Google.
Nothing bad about the pizza but nothing best either.
Just wanted to let people know if you are spending the 30-40 minutes in December cold to have this pie may be think about it. You shall get it when there is no line.
So the disappointment is less.

’ve been hunting for a REAL New York slice for weeks — not the overpriced tourist versions or the soggy cafeteria ones that taste like cardboard. Almost gave up…
until a local recommended Joe’s Pizza in Greenwich Village.
The moment I walked in, I knew something was different — the smell of real cheese, the thin crispy crust coming straight out of the oven, and slices cut confidently, not shyly.
I ordered a plain cheese slice — because if a place can’t nail the basics, nothing else matters.
First bite… and honestly?
THIS is the slice I’ve been looking for.
Crispy edge, airy crust, light tomato tang, and cheese that actually stretches — authentic, simple, perfect.
The staff worked fast even with a line out the door — and everyone inside looked like someone who knows pizza. No Instagram tourists — just locals and real NYC regulars.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 — Worth every minute of the wait.
If you want to taste actual New York… not the fake version… start with a plain slice at Joe’s.
I stopped by Joe’s Pizza on one of those evenings when New York feels overwhelming — when the noise, the speed, and the rush make you forget to slow down.
And somehow… holding that simple slice in my hand brought me back to myself.
Crispy edge, warm cheese, thin New York crust — nothing fancy, just honest flavor.
It reminded me that sometimes the simplest things are the most comforting.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
A perfect NY slice — authentic, warm, and unforgettable.
