Saks Fifth Avenue
Saks Fifth Avenue has brought New Yorkers access to luxury American and European fashions since 1924
Occupying an entire city block across from Rockefeller Center, Saks Fifth Avenue has been a flagship for fashion providing New Yorkers with access to luxury American and European brands since 1924.
A New York icon, Saks Fifth Avenue caters to the most discerning consumers with ten levels of retail decadence and its beauty is reflected in its shop window displays. A spectacle to behold at any time of year, the displays transform into true works of art during the holiday season, complete with a light show projected on the building facade.
The lower level is always buzzing with a controlled frenzy with perfume spritzers at every turn. Spend some time indulging in a "free" makeover at one of the cosmetics counters, modelling the new Chanel, Chole and Fendi handbag collections and gushing over all the sparkly, shiny baubles in the jewellery department. The upper levels offer a more subdued shopping experience with women's and men's collections from top couture designers. The 8th floor is the crown jewel, a shoe department that is so packed with Jimmy Choo's, Manolo Blanik's and Badgley Mischka's that it requires its own zip code (10022-SHOE). The famous Bridal Collections, Fur Salon and personal shopping services are all available by appointment.
Saks Fifth Avenue store in New York have partnered with InStyle Magazine to bring you style tips when you "check-in" on Foursquare at hotspots in the shoe department, cosmetics department, contemporary department and WEAR section. Customers who check-in at two or more hotspots can show their check-ins at the General Manager's office for a free gift.
For those with champagne tastes on a beer budget, be on the lookout for storewide clearance sales in the spring and fall and search the Internet for discount coupons.
Nearby attractions include Rockefeller Centre, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Radio City Music Hall, Times Square, Theatre District, Museum of Modern Art and Carnegie Hall.

Saks Fifth Avenue Reviews

Saks Fifth Avenue’s sound and light show in NYC is an awesome, free holiday experience right across from the Rockefeller Center tree. The entire building lights up with tons of colors, patterns, and animations that sync perfectly with loud, dramatic holiday music, so it honestly feels like a mini concert on the street. Each show is only a few minutes long and runs every 10 minutes from late afternoon into the night, so you don’t have to stress about timing it exactly.
It does get super crowded, especially in the evenings and near the tree, but the energy is part of the fun. The holiday window displays along the sidewalk are also worth a slow walk-by and lots of photos. Overall, it’s a must-see if you’re in NYC for the holidays and an easy 5-star stop on Fifth Ave.

The Christmas decorations at Saks Fifth Avenue are absolutely breathtaking. The window displays are like miniature winter wonderlands, full of intricate details and festive lights. Walking by, you can’t help but feel the magic of the season. It’s a true holiday spectacle that brings joy to everyone who sees it!

Going during the holidays is really the experience. The interior design of the store is incredible. I particularly love the interior wooden design of the elevators, very classic look. During Christmas, the window displays are a sight to see.

Saks puts on one of, if not the, best Christmas light displays on Fifth Avenue, as they use their block-long facade to coordinate lights and music to turn it into a whole show. Truly excellent.

First time experiencing the Saks Fifth Avenue lights display ✨
It truly lifted my Christmas spirit 🎄
A magical sight that makes me want to come back every year — and honestly, I wouldn’t even mind the crowd for this kind of joy.
