Great little tucked away speakeasy.
Was recommended this place by a friend and it didn't disappoint. Tucked away under a bridge behind a non descript door. The inside feels like a tastefully decorated bunker with two main seating areas, a large bar and a booth space with a reflective wall that adds greatly contributes to the vibe.
The drinks are solid and well priced. The staff are welcoming and kind. The DJ that started off the night was a blast. The music was loud but not so much that you were screaming to be heard. The bathrooms were also very clean.
FYI you can smoke indoors so for those not accustomed to that experience please be aware.

Discovered this bar yesterday, liked the discreet entrance wich you have to knock the door to get there. Nice service and good cocktails. I recommend

Music and atmosphere were awesome, smoking indoor is allowed. Weekdays wasn’t too crowded, limited selection of whiskey and no wifi or internet signals inside, service was okay. entrance fee was 10 euros Thursday to Saturday

I was just watching the series “Babylon Berlin” and noticed this place was featured in the series and it brought back memories of my trip to Berlin. I had a great time at Tausend. Great live music, atmosphere, drinks. Would love to be back soon.

I felt like I am back to Japan. Fast organized service, best sushi I had in Berlin and happy hours prices are unbeatable. Will definitely come back here.

Complimentary green tea when you sit down, great service this cold in winter!
Enjoyed the eel cey-ro which was well seasoned and steamed to perfection. Eel broke apart like butter and the richness went well with the rice. Just wish the eel portion was a bit larger.
Teriyaki chicken don was also delicious, the chicken meat was succulent and juicy to the bite.
Great option for a decent Japanese meal if you’re in the area.

There’s a lack of sushi culture in Berlin so I was extremely happy to find this spot. Bustling with lunch breakers, it’s very casual, yet very efficient. This open kitchen restaurant is quite large. Don’t expect artisan premium sushi but for this Price and quality there’s just No other comparison in Berlin.
Complimenting their free green tea that’s the first indicator of a true Japanese owned business.
I had the mix menu of salmon & tuna nigiri and maki 13pieces for only 12.50 during Happy Hour. My tummy, taste buds, and wallet are all happy.
My partner had the saki avocado salmon roll and also a mix set. We both found the taste and quantity good and quite generous.
Compared to other sushi restaurants in Berlin. I say this is a Gem for the Value and quality. It’s like finding a hidden treasure.

My favorite sushi place in Berlin! Finding authentic sushi with fresh fish it’s no an easy task in Berlin. This place serves authentic Japanese sushi with high quality fish. The price it’s also very fair. The only negative thing is their opening times if it weren’t for that I would be coming more often.

It was one of the places in the list to visit while in Berlin. Some reviews prepared for bad attitude from staff but the interest was there anyways. Went on friday evening, peak hours. Got seated few seconds after coming in. Got drinks within several minutes. Got food order really fast as well. Didn't have to wait long after meal to get bill. Really impressed with service. Food was good as well. Atmosphere was amazing, people cheering for beer stock market. Highly reccomended!

Excellent place to visit! The selection of beers is amazing. The service was brilliant, as soon as I had an empty glass I was offered another beer!
They even reacted very well when my partner knocked a couple of drinks over me!!! Will be back again next time I’m in Berlin!!

Had an amazing experience here this evening. The food was super tasty and the staff were so friendly. My German is very poor and they were so accommodating and kind.

Food was great, they had really good decor with the photos and the table settings they actually have enough space to sit comfortably. Can accommodate large groups 👍🏾.
Only issue was the ceilings lights point right into your eyes 😂
But worth visiting they had fast service even when it was crowded

You get what you pay for. You'll pay a LOT, but it's really, really good food. Probably the tastiest octopus I've ever had. Pasta in a truffle butter was a delicious side that didn't skimp on the truffle. Portions are ample, a rare combination of great food at a good size. Service was good, fast but not rushed.
Really, seriously good food and this place deserves a higher rating for that alone. But there's no getting around that it's not at all cheap.

It is a lovely French restaurant, I just had a glass of wine but i can clearly say, this place is spotless and the team was really nice and friendly. I had no time for lunch as I was rushing to get into museums and just wanted to drink something, but I am planning to come back again for food.

Having a dinner by the river with a live acoustic guitar performance was amazing. The service is a bit slow but friendly staff. The shrimp as starter and the duck as main course are suggested. Creme brulee is also worth to try.

Nice atmosphere- and that’s probably all good I can say about this restaurant.
We went as a group for Christmas dinner, ordered from the special menu, ordered in advance and still service was super slow.
The best dish in Christmas menu was beetroot soup - as borscht after blending.
Duck was fat, tasteless and overcooked, more like porridge texture.
Crème brûlée - disaster. Was served still cold inside. First thing- not freshly made, second - if you do this cheap move (seriously? For such level of restaurant it’s not appropriate) at least carry to serve it with the right temperature.
After we were done we must wait 20 minutes for the check. And after they learned we need special tax bill for the companies- 1,5 months to get it.
Average food and very questionable service.
Not recommended.

The food @ Ganymed Brasserie is very good. Service wise they could do better. When I'm ordering a filet bleu I a: expect that the waiter knows what that means (he didn't, I had to explain it) and b: that it would be served as such. Unfortunately the filet was served medium well done, hence I had to send it back. Eventually it was delivered correctly as ordered. Otherwise it was a very positive experience and I can recommend the Brasserie.

Very good restaurant in the city centre with nice atmosphere and excellent food with quite big portions. It's directly below rail, so you will often hear and feel vibrations. It's regular German/Austrian/middle European food. Highly recommend visiting.

I foolishly made my reservation for the wrong date but the staff were very nice and seated us after a short wait. They were packed so I was grateful for the accommodation. The food was delicious and they had gluten free bread AND crepes! The delight! 😍

This has to be one of the best breakfast and brunch places in the city. I love that they have outside seating with a wonderful river view. Everything I tried was amazing, so fresh and tasty. The only downside is that the place is very popular so it’s better to make a reservation to avoid long lines.
Cruzkaya Barbosa - 5 months ago
Arrived 8:45am on a Thursday, and there was no wait. I was told I would be at a large table, seated with others. As a solo traveler, I didn’t mind, but it would be undesirable if I was with someone else. Also, I couldn’t use my laptop at the table, which I was hoping I could.
The ambiance was warm and welcoming. Waitress was nice and food was served swiftly. However, I was not impressed by the avocado toast. As a Californian, I eat a lot of avocado toast though. Bread was fresh and dish had a farm-to-table feel. I wish it had the option to be served with fruit since it was breakfast.
Overall, I could have ordered the wrong dish. I was surprised that I was underwhelmed given the great reviews. That being said, if I lived in Berlin, I would probably give Zimt & Zucker one more shot. Great cappuccino.

This place was absolutely amazing! It makes sense why there are reservations. The main lady has phenomenal customer service and I would say few could be better.
DM Stunnasleepy - 2 months ago
Very poor service and quality considering the reviews, the staff were rather dull and not terribly helpful. When the food eventually arrived it was mediocre to say the least. Poached eggs (solid all the way through) with tasteless avacado and untoasted sourdough which was made worse by the fact they were soggy from the poached egg residual water. For the quality and service, the prices do not match up in my opinion. Finally, to add insult to injury the staff made an issue about our group paying individually for our meals despite stating we'd leave tips on top of service charge. Very odd behaviour.

I ordered Sachertorte and Einspänner. Both were good, but I can't say I loved them. The concept of the place is nice. I liked the concept of most cafes and restaurants during my visit to Vienna, and since this was an Austrian restaurant, it gave me the same atmosphere. If I come again, I would like to try their food.

The staff were very nice. The food was unfortunately mid for the price. We ordered the schnitzel, which was pretty ok tho the potatoes on the side were bland as potatoes can be, and I got a mushroom risotto. It was so salty, almost inedible, not sure if it was just a one time fluke or if it's usually like that but I couldn't even taste anything but salt. It's a nice looking restaurant but there are better places to eat.

So sad the Villa where the cafe was located closed last year. It was beloved by Berliners and had went there in 2022 on my first trip to the city. This location is great too. Just a walk away from the Brandenburg gate. The food was good. I had the classic Wien Schnitzel and we had some wine. The portion was huge! It was two slabs of porkchop. We also had some wine and I had the classic Sacher Torte.

“Exclusive” environment. Professional staff and a lavish interior. Clean and hygienic bathroom, but a bit too strong faucets. Pricy but I guess you pay for the atmosphere. The hot chocolate costed 5.5€ (?) and exceeded expectations by a lot. Not only was is great, it was a lot. Since you got a little pot of the drink to pour into the cup, and then also add the cream, it just kept going. It could easily and comfortably be shared by 2 people and splitting that cost makes it one of the cheaper and best hot chocolates you can find in the café scene in Berlin. Very good. If you pair both a dessert and a drink it will run you from around 15-25€ with is a lot, but the portions are generous so having someone to share with will make this experience more cost worthy and enjoyable. Thanks and Hello.

An old fashion cafe on Unter den Linden, with traditional waiters and waitress. Lovely cakes and coffees. An elegant atmosphere that takes you back in time. The other clientele represented the elegance of the establishment. I could imagine going there with my grandfather in the 1960's -70's
I can highly recommend taking the time and experiencing this long lost café establishment.
Still employs a traditional toilet lady, who definitely kept her work area spotless.

The waitress was extremely kind, the place is super nice. The prices a bit high but in the average for the area which is super nice. The plates had very little of Italian, I went there because some German friends booked and as Italian I've to admit that the plates are very different from what we eat in Italy: the lasagna has nothing to do with our lasagna, risotto with chicken is more indian than Italian cousin, gnocchi refill with pesto is not our traditional gnocchi with mozzarella, parmigiano etc, and the pizza was more German pizza than Italian pizza. Said so, the area around is super nice and the service is kind, it's a good place for foreigners, a bit less for Italians.

Came to this steakhouse with friends, not quite in the mood for steak, and left pleasantly surprised. The diverse menu options beyond steak were impressive and truly delicious—everyone found something they loved. Despite our varied orders, each dish was well-prepared and satisfying. The ambiance exuded a cozy yet sophisticated vibe, contributing to a great dining experience. The staff was attentive and accommodating, ensuring our visit was enjoyable. While we didn't dive into the steaks, this place exceeded our expectations and made for a fantastic dining outing.

I think for the price this place is decent. But I looked up top 10 steak places in Berlin and this was in the top 5. That I do not understand. The potato tastes better than the steak. The bread was the best part. The salad was so badly made nothing was cut out just big chunks on a plate. If you are looking for good steak in Berlin look elsewhere

Quick dinner after late arrival to Berlin.
Exceed expectations. Good salad, well prepared steak. Reasonable price.

Nice place with good beef. The downsides were the chips were just frozen chips which were just similar to McDonald’s chips. Second downside is the New York burger only had one bun instead of one at the top and the bottom. Otherwise it’s very nice succulent flavorsome food

Proper Irish pub and music. Fun and easygoing although as expected chaotic and full. Not enough space for a full band but the musician played for a long time and she sang really well and alternated the violin and guitar. Good service

Kulturheld - a week ago
I visited this pub with some friends to have a casual night and chat a bit. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the great atmosphere and overall vibe of the place.
First of all we were very lucky as we found a cranny that was a bit less crowded and felt way more cozy. Perfect to talk without having to shout, but still close enough to the core action of the pub. We ordered some drinks that weren’t even that expensive and spent most of the time throwing jokes.
That night there was a guy who performed live music following the requests of the audience, so it was a great opportunity to dance and sing along. He had a lot of energy and kept everyone entertained for a long while.
We spent most of our night there and left with big smiles!
