“Photos not allowed inside”.
We celebrated New Year’s here, and, naturally, you might have certain expectations for such a special night. But… honestly, we didn’t like it.
First, we spent quite some time just trying to find the entrance. It was freezing outside, and it turned out to be a hidden door. Fine, we finally got in. Then, we had to pay for the coat check just to leave our stuff—seriously, what kind of nonsense is that?
Next, we had to find a place to sit, even though we had bought our tickets months in advance. Turns out, that didn’t really mean anything. You don’t get a reserved table, just entry. Whatever, we managed to find seats.
Then came the cocktails. They were terrible. We gave it another try and ordered different ones—still awful. And the prices were ridiculously high. At first, I thought maybe I was just being too picky since I’ve had plenty of amazing cocktails and even have bartender friends. But no—none of us liked them. They were either too sour or too bitter, just not enjoyable at all.
The music was nothing special either, despite the lineup promising big-name DJs.
Overall, we had a decent time because we were with a great group of friends, and we can have fun anywhere. But the bar itself didn’t add anything special to the night.

Great little tucked away speakeasy.
Was recommended this place by a friend and it didn't disappoint. Tucked away under a bridge behind a non descript door. The inside feels like a tastefully decorated bunker with two main seating areas, a large bar and a booth space with a reflective wall that adds greatly contributes to the vibe.
The drinks are solid and well priced. The staff are welcoming and kind. The DJ that started off the night was a blast. The music was loud but not so much that you were screaming to be heard. The bathrooms were also very clean.
FYI you can smoke indoors so for those not accustomed to that experience please be aware.

* A review about the bar side *
* Willingness to return visit: 120%
* Suitable place for everything business, party, date, alone :)
* Smoking is allowed inside.
* Storage for the Jackets and bags.( 1.5or 2 euro)
* I'm Including the sound videos of 12am’s 'before and after' in this review. Because around 12 o'clock, the atmosphere before and after is quite different :D ! but don’t worry, The atmosphere won't change suddenly. Competent DJs are making increasingly mood with well selected music . it will definitely make you wanna dance around 1:00.
The friendly bartenders also make cocktails that are not on the menu, satisfying your taste.
Well, If there's one thing that's missing, the cocktail glass is a bit.. ugly? not pretty?. . Haha um The cocktail glass can’t keep up with the cocktail tasty& mood🙈

Music and atmosphere were awesome, smoking indoor is allowed. Weekdays wasn’t too crowded, limited selection of whiskey and no wifi or internet signals inside, service was okay. entrance fee was 10 euros Thursday to Saturday

Amazing Steakhouse Experience!
I recently dined at this steakhouse, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious! cooked to perfection with rich flavors that truly made each bite memorable. The steaks were tender and juicy, exactly how they should be.
The service was top notch, with attentive and friendly staff who made sure we had everything we needed. It’s clear that they take great pride in providing a fantastic dining experience.
I highly recommend this steakhouse to anyone who loves quality food and excellent service. I will definitely be coming back!

I ll be straightforward: You should not go here for a complete lunch, just for hanging around.
To breakdown why:
1. Even though we were in not high season, the food take so long to arrive. The quality price was not good worthy. The burger that a person ordered beside us arrived fast (thats why better go for a snack or a beer with friends).
2. The landscape is interesting, sometimes a bit crowded.
3. The service is (maybe ill be subjetive in this matter) regular. The waiter took a while in attending us, even though there were not so many people. The waiter misunderstood our order and only brought a plate (of two); I understand as a non-native German speaker it maybe a language barrier, but for a touristic place they should be more open to English use.
4. Finally, when I made my complain and point, the waiter stood in his position stating that was my mistake instead of being empathetic to foreing clients.

Ordered the weekly special (filet mignon with asparagus and hollandaise sauce). Unfortunately I inhaled it before I could get a photo of this exquisite meal. One of the best steaks I’ve had in Berlin and I was not expecting that in such a touristic area. Will be coming back for more!

Popped in later in the evening for a small bite. Got this fantastic starter platter for two. We also ordered a side of cheddar cheese fries. The cheese sauce was definitely homemade. So friggin tasty.

The food was in an outstanding quality. However, instead of medium ordered meat it was mostly provided rare. Additionally, the restaurant was very cold which limited the overall impression. Finally the quality of the meat compared to the is making a visit only optional if you have enough money and don't know what to do with it.
(Drinks were very expensive)

Top grade sushi and craftsmanship, just like in Japan. Hands down one of the best sushi experiences I’ve had. Strongly recommend a visit if you’re in Berlin.
Sean Kosarian - 2 months ago
It’s definitely 5 for price/performance ratio. It is so much better than all the classic sushi restaurants you can find it in Berlin(excluding the high end ones). Service is super fast, and sushi is super fresh. We went there around 17.30-18.00 in a weekday and it was pretty crowded. At 18.30 there was a long queue in front of the door.

My all time favorite Japanese Restaurant in Berlin. My comfort food ❤️. They serve delicious, traditional and simple Sushi, Rice Bowls, Handrolls… Not izakaya style nor modernized. So very yummy… Been here a few times and i will never get tired of this place.
My fav is their Negitoro Don ❤️

If you want to try authentic Japanese food, this place will be the best for that kind of experience. This place reminds me of a typical Japanese fast food place with quality products, very fast work and friendly waiters.
The big plus point of the place is the speed of preparation and the taste of the food. Also, the food here is quite hearty. It may seem like you won't get full, but actually even a small set of sushi rolls is quite hearty.
The average price is more than affordable, especially for Japanese food. You can order a set for €10-18 and you don't need to take drinks because the green tea is free.

We went for dinner, the place is so vibrant even though we went at 10pm and the rest of Berlin was sleeping already. the food was excellent. the service impeccable and they had a stock market for beer pricing which was very interesting to see.

Very nice place located close to the river.
Place is a sprts bar heaving tables and dar seats as well.
Veey big place, around 150 people, so more than a little noosy.
Traditional barbarian kitchen.
Tried 3 sausages with cabbage and potatoes. Besides the potatoes that were cooked in water and had no taste, the sausages were great, and so was the cabbage
Potato salad plate, regular, no more.
Purple cabbage was interesting being cooked in red wine and sugar. Too much sugar.
Prefared apple strudel over sweet rise and happy i did so. The cake is served warm over vanilla sauce with vanilla ice cream and cream. Sweetness was in the right amount, so it was great.
Service was not so friendly and without patience, could improve.

I loved everything about Berliner Republic, the food is great, the service is fast, the staff were really helpful and the Bar looks amazing decorated with interesting pictures everywhere.. More than that the atmosphere is stop-on, if you want to feel like you are in Berlin then this is the place you should go. ( Also the menu is in German and English so thank you 👍)..

Lovely bar with great food and quick service, reasonably priced too! Tried to get in on the evening over the weekend but it was full so book in advance for peak times! They have beers priced according to demand (stock market type screens!) so good fun on the evening of you want a few drinks and food. Great spot

After a long day of travelling we were looking for somewhere to relax, drink beer and get a snack and the Berliner did not disappoint. The beer was great with various sizes even 1.5L so really what more could you want? We also decided to have a little snack and both had a pretzel. The waiter said he made it extra pretty for us and I agree it’s looks very nice. After much beer was drank and the pretzels were all gone we headed off very satisfied with this restaurant.

Best warm breakfast I have ever had in Europe. Server recommended Croque Madame .. in his words ‘he loves it so much until it comes out of his ears’ and indeed it was extremely delicious!

We came here spontaneously on Women’s Day after our original plans unfortunately fell through and had little hope of getting a table on short notice, especially with such beautiful, sunny weather. The fact that we were lucky enough to get a spot in the sun and enjoy such a delicious breakfast was beyond our expectations.
We ordered the avocado tartine and Eggs Benedict. Our waiter, whose name was Vali, was pleasantly discreet, polite, and attentive, despite the restaurant being quite busy. The breakfast was surprisingly delicious, especially my frothy Hollandaise sauce.

Nice genuine French restaurant close to the Spree with a lot of tables outside. Easy way to enjoy the river, people and city life. Food is fast and presented well. Service is a bit slow but food is served fast.
Menues are on the smaller side, but it should be enough.
There were a lot of wasps here, so sitting outside was a problem.

I enjoyed a delightful meal here with outstanding wine. Escargot among the best I've eated. Tender and delicious lamb rack. An extremely satisfying meal worth the money. I'm certainly planning another visit while in Berlin

Fine place, fine menu. Fast friendly service. Food is delicious, BUT you for sure can feel it was all cooked some time ago and warmed up for you. It’s delicious, but you don’t feel like they cooked for you. Also loud place. There is a train station and building shakes every 5 minutes but we liked it.
Aksinia - 4 months ago
Stylish restaurant, unusual environment. Service pleasant, but could care more about their guests. Wide selection of food and drinks. Surprised by the bilingual menu, thank you for that. The food itself was good, but definitely has room for improvement. It was surprising that the restaurant was not even half full. The restaurant is located right under the train station tracks, sometimes a train just passes over your head:)

Nice atmosphere. Good selection of simple meals. Service was very quick. Food was yummy. Have different tap beers.
Prices are somewhat high, but that's because of the central location, I guess.
Overall, I can recommend this.

Trendy restaurant with 1920s theme situated underneath the railroad. It makes a lot of noise when trains run over. During the event happens less. Food is good and service is both fast and professional. Good selection of beer and drinks. The dessert menu was a bit short, but had what you need for a proper German dessert. Appel strudel and cream

We stumbled upon this restaurant on our last night in Berlin and it truly topped off a fabulous weekend. It was our favourite dinner of our trip. A true taste of Germany! We ordered the meatballs and for desert we had the delicious Apfel Strudel. The service was great, we had a lovely waitress and although the place was packed with people, we were served so quick. Would highly recommend this restaurant if you want to experience authentic German food in a warm and inviting atmosphere.

I didn’t have a reservation so they sat me at the ‘community table’ There is a Nice chilled cosy vibe inside. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Food was quick and served within ten minutes, most delicious avocado toast I’ve had and presentation great. Freshly squeezed orange juice was delicious. Went again the next day and service was excellent!!

A very popular place on a quieter side of the river. All of the tables seemed to be reserved but I was thankfully easily seated anyway. Lovely staff really add to the atmosphere. Can see the river out the window but also tables outside. I got tea, porridge and scrambled eggs for €19. Reasonably priced for generous portion and quality.

Thanks for this great meal!

Matcha latte was quite good, and the croissant with goats cheese and walnuts, egg omelette was good too albeit a bit expensive!!!

Very friendly and accommodating toward Americans! The vibe and atmosphere was similar to a diner, however, the food was of the highest quality and delicious. The Schnitzel was massive and tasty. The Goulash was surprisingly good, tender, and hearty. The bathrooms were clean and the service was excellent and very friendly. Never rushed or ignored. It’s walking distance from the gates, a very safe and authentic place for a meal in Berlin. Not very crowded and no reservations required.

This German cafe has the ambiance of a fine dining chain, but unfortunately, the food falls short. We tried the cream soup, which was delicious, but the accompanying bread was extremely dry. The Caesar salad, despite the staff’s commendable effort to accommodate our dietary needs (no cheese or vinegar), was overly saucy and unpleasantly watery. The Kaiserschmarrn was another letdown, far from the quality we expected.
On the positive side, the staff were kind and attentive, and the restaurant’s toilet facilities were impeccably clean, with a dedicated cleaner maintaining them after each use (though tips are optional).
While the service and cleanliness impressed, the overall food quality makes it hard to recommend this cafe.

Nestled in the heart of Berlin, Einstein unter den Linden offers a delightful dining experience steeped in tradition and elegance. The restaurant's ambiance is special, with its classic decor and warm lighting creating a welcoming atmosphere.
My visit for breakfast was a treat for the senses, as I indulged in the Sylter Frühstück, a delectable assortment of shrimps, gravlax with horseradish, smoked halibut, radish, lemon, and a basket of freshly baked bread accompanied by creamy butter. The quality and generous portion left me impressed and eager to return for more.
The in-house baked bread was a standout, and the coffee proved to be a satisfying complement to the meal. Despite the overall positive experience, the service left something to be desired, as our waitress came across as pushy, particularly when it came to tipping.
Despite this minor setback, Einstein unter den Linden remains a must-visit establishment for those seeking a taste of traditional cuisine in an unforgettable setting. I look forward to returning and exploring more of their menu offerings.

The waitress was extremely kind, the place is super nice. The prices a bit high but in the average for the area which is super nice. The plates had very little of Italian, I went there because some German friends booked and as Italian I've to admit that the plates are very different from what we eat in Italy: the lasagna has nothing to do with our lasagna, risotto with chicken is more indian than Italian cousin, gnocchi refill with pesto is not our traditional gnocchi with mozzarella, parmigiano etc, and the pizza was more German pizza than Italian pizza. Said so, the area around is super nice and the service is kind, it's a good place for foreigners, a bit less for Italians.

First time trying this place! We were pleasantly surprised the atmosphere was nice and the service was great. Food was flavorful and delicious. Had some ice cream for dessert to top it off. When visiting, please stop by this restaurant and try their yummy food.

We had lunch here and went for Mr Rumpsteak with salad, garlic bread, fries and sour cream. It was well done but a bit chewy. The medium one was good. The ambience was good but it lacked hygiene and insects were running around on the furniture. The staff could be a bit more attentive to taking requests.

Absolutely delicious. It was my first time here and we visited as a team for lunch. I have absolutely loved this place. Had American Tenderloin as steak with mashed potato with salad in Italian dressing, also carrot-ginger soup, tomatoe-bruschetta and tomato-burrata and french fries as side dish, lava cake with walnut-caramel ice cream. And every single one of these tasted absolutely delicious. As it was not enought how a good meal all we ate was, we were once again schocked by the amazing dessert:) Wonderful quality and fast and also kind service. We had a blonde mid-aged gentleman serving our table and he was super nice.

The food at this place was great. The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars for service was because we came in an a 10pm and the restaurant closes at 11. We kind of felt rushed and noticed the servers annoyance with us coming in. Mind you we were out of there by 10:45 so that either shows the food come out fast or we were rushed. Nobody was rude to us directly at all. Anyhow beef tartar is a must have. I didn’t take pictures as it was so good and I was hungry. The steaks were perfectly seasoned cooked to the perfect temperature. Also I am not a bread person but the bread was so good😌. Restaurant wasn’t busy for Friday night either and walked in no reservation needed. Took pictures of the aftermath of the delicious food. Empty plates show I will definitely come back again.
