Kulturforum
The Kulturforum is a cultural plaza with a collection of several buildings characterized by minimalist modernist architecture. They were all built in the 1950s and 60s.
It grew out the desire to create a cultural showcase for West Berlin after much of the city's culture was rendered inaccessible by the Berlin Wall.
The plaza is located just west of Potsdamer Platz and the southeast border of Tiergarten.
Within The Kulturform you will find six popular attractions: The Gemäldegalerie (Gallery of Paintings), The Kunstgewerbemuseum (Museum of Decorative Arts), the Musikinstrumenten-Museum (Musical Instruments Museum), the Kupferstichkabinett (Gallery of Prints and Drawings), Neue Nationalgalerie (New National Gallery), and the Philharmonie and the Kammermusiksaal (Chamber Music Hall). As you can see, there is something for everyone here. This is certainly a place where one can spend many hours exploring.
There various levels, stairs and ramps that make up the plaze have also made the Kulturforum a popular spot for extreme skateboarding.

out of 5 I would give the exhibition I visited 5 stars ( grosses kino) but I only give the venue 2 stars because of the poor customer service from the ticket desk staff, I was kept waiting for an unacceptable time as two staff members chatted with the person in front of me ( the person wasn't buying tickets) another member of staff then joined into the conversation but eventually must have decided I wanted to buy a ticket ( cost €10). His colleague couldn't have been less welcoming or helpful, took my money with minimal interaction and neither offered the audio guide which came as part of the admission price or had the courtesy to direct me to the exhibition gallery

Wonderful place to visit for the art lover. Enjoyed every minute. I wish I had more time when I was there to enjoy. I recommend giving yourself lots of time to enjoy. The cost is minimal and they provide headsets to follow along for free! I highly recommend 👌

"Can't be built" is how architects describe the most important architecture of the 1920s. But it was. Then a year after opening, destroyed...deliberately..yeah...then thankfully it was rebuilt in 1986 and now serves as a wonderful museum. The permanent collection is sublime. The other collections usually terrific too. Gemälder may be in a temporary home, but no less wonder-ful. 200 Durer works. I almost lost my legs...too moving to confer here
