Reviews
We had the great pleasure of dining at the Lorenz Adlon Esszimmer, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. We would especially like to highlight Maître / Restaurant Manager Oliver, whose warm and highly professional manner, combined with an exceptional sensitivity to guests’ needs, truly elevated the entire evening. The service overall was flawless—attentive, welcoming, and delivered with impressive precision.
A special mention goes to Sommelier Hans Martin, whose expertise and passion for wine were remarkable. His wine pairing was masterfully curated, thoughtfully explained, and perfectly aligned with each course. Every recommendation enhanced the menu beautifully and added an additional layer of depth to the dining experience.
The cuisine under was nothing short of extraordinary. The dishes reflect outstanding craftsmanship, creativity, and a refined sense of flavor. Each course was meticulously composed, showcasing a harmonious balance of textures, aromas, and modern culinary technique. Unique culinary vision is clearly expressed on every plate—elegant, contemporary, and full of character.
It was truly a fantastic evening. We will certainly return and can wholeheartedly recommend the Lorenz Adlon Esszimmer.

Unbelievable experience. Incredible food. Well orchestrated perfect service. They do one service at 7 and we were there until almost 11. I enjoyed every second. They time the food and the wine perfectly as the staff delicately moves between tables with precision. Super friendly and welcoming staff as well. Have nothing bad to say about this place. (Excuse the poor photos, I was trying not to completely ruin the ambience by taking photos!)

Incredible meal on New Year’s Eve. All the staff very knowledgeable about the (many!) beautiful unusual wines served with each course. It was all fabulous.
Rebecca Murray - 2 years ago
The quality of ingredients was good, but there seems to be a lack of empathy towards the guests' experience, particularly in terms of orchestration of flavours and textures between courses.
The location is impeccable, offering a direct view of the Brandenburg Gate. I guess that a significant portion of the price I paid was for the view rather than the food itself, though.
Overall, despite the high quality of the food, considering the price and the reputation, I was anticipating a more harmonious dining experience that delights the palate with a cohesive story through its dishes.

Eating 2 persons you are always faster than other tables and we where quite surprised with the long wait on between the servings . We made the staff aware and after that the speed improved but still we would have wanted faster pace .. we had a non alcoholic choice of bevarage which was great to try .. the good was very nice and we where surprised to see a dog at the restaurant.. We tool the largest option 10.course dinner and All services where very nice experience..

The food quality is absolutely the headline. The Chole Kulcha was one of the most balanced chole I’ve had in a long time, genuinely comparable to top spots in India too. The Tiffin Chicken was exceptional, with a beautifully judged spice balance. The Butter Chicken was good.. nothing extraordinary, but still among the better options in Berlin & definitely worth trying. Overall, the chicken, masalas, and all other ingredients smelled and tasted premium.
Management, however, didn’t match what you’d expect from a restaurant inside a five-star hotel and listed in the Michelin Guide. We arrived on time for our 20:30 reservation and still waited 25-30 minutes to be seated, then another 20-25 minutes between starters and mains. The place felt noticeably understaffed, so much so that even the bar person jumped in to help with the service.
And the kulfi was a shock.., easily the hardest I’ve ever had, so badly frozen I had to literally fight for bites, and also felt very synthetic in flavour.. lacking the rich milk taste, instead felt like frozen milk powder which sadly somewhat spoiled the ending of an otherwise beautiful night. It should be softer, or at least served pre-sliced!
Big credit though... the host handled the chaos brilliantly and still found us a nice, quieter corner & our server was genuinely warm and good.. clear explanations and friendly service.
Bottom line: top-quality Indian food, but the upper management needs to tighten operations and staffing so the overall experience matches the kitchen and service.

India club authentic Indian food in the heart of Berlin. We were a group of 6 ladies spent 600 Euros and tried most of dishes.
If you don't fancy spicy food then you should avoid this gorgeous place. Cocktails are delicious, service was friendly and dessert was tasty. Thank you.

Went to several „famous“ restaurants in Berlin (Grill Royal, Borchert etc.) and I Heavily prefer India club. By far the best Indian food I’ve ever eaten in Germany and on paar with some elite Indian restaurants in London.

Really elegant ambience and the food was as very good. Rara mutton and panner Tikka on pineapple were excellent. Wine list is wonderful. However, the service was bad. We sat there with dirty plates on our table for 15min before someone noticed and cleared the table and brought us dessert menu's. The desserts were a miss, compared to the food.
The biggest reason I give it 3 stars is that the men's toilet was stinking. You had to hold your nose as you went in there. I thought there was something wrong when I went. But my son went there more than an hour later and he came back holding his nose. No one even noticed, is this the norm? Not something I would expect from any restaurant, let alone a restaurant claiming to be a high end one.

The hostess was very friendly, and we were seated immediately for our 19:30 reservation. The restaurant started getting full around 8:00 PM. The servers remained very polite and friendly throughout the night. The food options we ordered were extremely authentic and delicious; this place has never disappointed us across our multiple visits. We had the Chana Pakora Chaat, Kadai Paneer, Daal Makhani, raita, and the bread basket. The India Gin cocktail was also a smash. However, there were a few disappointing aspects to our experience. First, our table was extremely wobbly. Second, our plates weren't cleared for at least 15 minutes after we finished our starters, until the hostess finally stepped in to help. Consequently, the main course arrived 20 to 25 minutes late. The staff had also forgotten whether we ordered a side dish and had to check back with us to confirm. Finally, the spicy guava cocktail barely tasted of guava, was very watery, and lacked heat—even after we sent it back and asked them to make it spicier. For a Michelin Guide-recommended restaurant, the service fell short compared to some of our other local favorites.

Visited here on 19/01/2026. 10/10 recommend if you wanna try local German dishes and beer. You've got to wait at the door to be seated at first. It was a Monday and thankfully they had free places because I didn't have a reservation. The staff is friendly. Dishes are big and very filling. Place is cozy and nicely decorated. I really liked the vibes. There are variety of tables so you can fit as a big group or a solo traveller.

We loved this place so much that we visited it twice during our stay in Berlin! The first time was by chance, but the second was a conscious choice because the food was simply too good to miss.
However, the best part was the incredible honesty and helpfulness of the staff. We accidentally left two bags of souvenirs under our table and only realized it after we had already returned to Italy. We contacted them, and they were amazing: they found our bags, kept them safe, and patiently cooperated with us to organize a courier pickup.
It’s rare to find such integrity and kindness. If you are looking for great traditional food and a team you can truly trust, this is the place to go. Thank you again!!

We had a great experience as tourists looking for a typical German restaurant with high-quality food. We were a group of four people and were comfortably seated and very well attended by the waitress. The food is wonderful and generously served. I definitely recommend it.

Service was great and the fastest. 5 minutes after ordering my Schweins Hax it was being served!
Schweins Hax the pork was really crispy and juicy. The sauerkraut that I'm normally not the biggest fan was cooked to perfection.
To finish the Apfelstrudel was cruncy, warm, as it shoukd be, perfect combination with the cold icecream.

Great restaurant, with nice staff. Special thanks for getting amuseboosh.
The food was delicious, we didn’t have to wait for too long.
Restaurant is in the centre and still has great prices. I’d highly recommend this place

Amazing restaurant! The food was super fresh and full of flavor, and the service was friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere felt cozy and inviting, and everything we ordered was delicious. Great portions, great value, and an overall fantastic dining experience. Highly recommend!

I was curious to try this restaurant. The atmosphere is simple and pleasant, ideal for a relaxed dinner after a walk around the city. The pizza and pasta here are made according to Italian traditions, with well-balanced flavors and decent portions. The staff is generally friendly, though sometimes they seem a bit overwhelmed when it’s busy. All in all, a solid choice if you want an authentic Italian meal in the heart of Berlin without spending too much — and definitely worth trying their classic pasta dishes.

China Club, Berlin, Germany. A luxury dining place serving Cantonese-inspired dining in one of Berlin’s most iconic hotel settings. The restaurant leans toward classic upscale Chinese cuisine. The food is good but nothing memorable.

We had a birthday celebration at China Club. Everything was impeccably prepared. Staff are extremely friendly and make sure that everyone enjoys their time.
Menu was already set, which was better than my last visit. Bar has a nice cosy ambience too.

I was there for an event. Great service and amazing hospitality from the Manager Paolo and his team at the 7th floor rooftop Italian
restaurant. Will highly recommend if you get a chance to visit as it’s an exclusive invite only venue.

The Wasabi prawns tempura are the highlight of the restaurant. Also the fried vanilla ice cream tastes so good! The cocktails are delicious as well. All the menu is Chinese and there is a variety to choose dishes for every taste. Recently, since December 2021, there has opened a brand new Italian restaurant called MEDINIS. it's very beautiful and tastefully decorated. The food must be fantastic! Members only place, unless you're their guest.

We've been here a couple of times during our visit, because the food is delicious. The staff are friendly, and there are a few seats and tables either side of the kiosk. If you have a glass bottled drink, they ask you to return it once you've finished.
I would recommend this place for a quick snack on a lovely sunny day ☀️😋

Must have place. Source with curry looks beautiful- like a goldfish souse. Food is good as well.
Oleksii Kolomiiets - 2 months ago
Service was serviceable, efficient. Great location, and reasonably priced - especially for such a touristic area.
Main problem is they clearly focused on lowering the cost of the ingredients instead of increasing prices, which fair enough - but every component of the currywurst mit pommes was just kind of meh - well prepared but meh.
Tushaar Davies - 8 months ago
Amazing Currywurst and Bratwurst, both with chips and sauces. There are some lovely benches to enjoy your food there or you can walk just a few more meters and sit down with a splendid view on the Brandenburger Tor.
Also it worths mentioning... Nice portions!

Nice place for a quick snack! Good currywurst and beer, but nothing special vs what you usually get at other places. Service is nice too and overall 4 stars is fair.

Would have given 5 Stars however my issue is that these types of establishments always cosy up to steteotypes & high society individuals. It seems that once these type of people took there seats I had to signal for service with no attention. Would not come here again for that reason. Shame but I live in the real world. And they expected a tip😔
Thomas Matthew Hodgson - 3 months ago
I did a reservation at 2 PM, and I was expecting to eat some chicken or pasta, but the menu I received was only for snacks.
So, I ordered just a Caesar salad, which was OK but not at the level of the price.
I ordered still water, and I got mineral water, good thing I had some cold still water in my water bottle.
The atmosphere was great because there was good weather and a beautiful view of Brandenburg Tor.
Service was very good.
Pablo Morales - 2 weeks ago
We had reserved for seven people and were seated at a pleasant table. The food, including soups, starters, main courses and desserts, was good - but nowhere near as great as to reflect the price tags. Wine and drinks were good, too. As for service, there is a fine line between acceptable and good-humoured Berlin cheek, and downright impertinence. This line was crossed on several occasions by our main waiter in charge. So much so, that some family members even assumed “chemical reasons” on his part (which is, of course, pure speculation with little further evidence). Two other waiters, it must be said, did their job impeccably. We hope a fair share of our tip ends up in their pockets.
Also, we never had the feeling that the given dress code had any meaning on the terrace in front of our window.
Overall, the experience was rather disappointing, especially considering the hefty bill in excess of €100 per person.
Bernard B - a week ago
Extremely elegant restaurant in the heart of the Kempinski hotel. Ordered the lobster and scallop soup which was cooked to perfection. Also had scallops and prawns for mains. All was cooked perfectly and portions were generous. The truffle pasta was very rich and there was a generous amount of fresh grated truffle. Finally, ordered the crème brulée for dessert which was very good.
Overall, while on the pricier side, it's worth a visit while in Berlin. Service was very good throughout and elevated the experience.

Thank You! - Vegetarians can also enjoy the Curry Wurst experience! (Vegan hotdog also available). You might have a short wait, but not long. Helpful service. Great that vegetarians can have fast food and enjoy this Berlin experience on Unter den Linden. Plenty outdoor space to eat & clean tables, some to stand at, a few seats.

Average ice cream, but quite overpriced for what you get. You’re mainly paying for the location rather than the quality. It’s not bad, just nothing special.

It was a good choice! Nice family atmosphere, really delicious food - fresh bread, rich and juicy pizza. A lot of options for vegetarians, children. One minute from touristic attractions, but prices not so high. Possible with dogs! We definitely recommend.

If you’re looking for a reliable spot in Berlin with a solid handle on dietary requirements, Mama Trattoria is a great choice. It offers a relaxed atmosphere and a great menu.
One of the standout features here is their commitment to accommodating different needs. They offer gluten-free options (available for a supplementary cost), which is a huge plus for anyone navigating a restricted diet without wanting to sacrifice flavor.
They were also very helpful with specific allergies. Since the standard pizza sauce contains garlic, they easily offered a Pizza Bianca to ensure everything was safe to eat. It was delicious and much appreciated!
The staff at Mama Trattoria are friendly and welcoming. While the service isn't overly formal or intensely attentive, the team is pleasant and creates an easygoing environment for a casual meal.
It’s a dependable neighborhood spot where you can enjoy a good meal knowing the kitchen is looking out for your specific requests.

Super hungry after wandering Berlin, and the google photos looked appetizing. Ordered the Diavola pizza and Caesar salad. Absolutely tasteless salad and waste of 8€. Pizza was … a Sad pizza experience. Looks great but flavorless! Service was great, but Told the server my honest feedback when he asked. Still brought a bill for 27€. Won’t be back and don’t recommend. Go to L’osteria instead!

The food looks good, tasted okay-ish!
I am giving a 2 star as it was very pricey for the amount of food!
AND I had a very upset stomach afterwards 🙁 ( I ate pasta)
We had to pay a tip ( shouldn’t it be optional?) and the staff were super busy because of the crowd!
It is a great location tho.
