Reviews
I had the great pleasure of dining at the Lorenz Adlon Esszimmer, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. I would especially like to highlight Maitre / Restaurant Manager Oliver Kraft, whose warm, professional manner and exceptional sense for the guests’ needs truly elevated the entire evening. The service overall was flawless – attentive, welcoming, and executed with impressive precision.
A special mention goes to Sommelier Hans Martin Konrad, whose expertise and passion for wine were remarkable. His wine pairing was masterfully curated, thoughtfully explained, and perfectly attuned to each course. Every recommendation enhanced the menu beautifully and added an extra layer of depth to the dining experience.
The cuisine under Jonas Zörner was nothing short of extraordinary. His dishes reflect outstanding craftsmanship, creativity, and a refined sense of flavor. Every course was meticulously composed, showcasing a harmonious balance of textures, aromas, and modern culinary technique. You can clearly feel his unique culinary vision in each plate – elegant, contemporary, and full of character.
A truly fantastic evening – I will certainly return and can wholeheartedly recommend the Lorenz Adlon Esszimmer
Mrs. & Mr. Wan Tan - a week ago
Unbelievable experience. Incredible food. Well orchestrated perfect service. They do one service at 7 and we were there until almost 11. I enjoyed every second. They time the food and the wine perfectly as the staff delicately moves between tables with precision. Super friendly and welcoming staff as well. Have nothing bad to say about this place. (Excuse the poor photos, I was trying not to completely ruin the ambience by taking photos!)

The quality of ingredients was good, but there seems to be a lack of empathy towards the guests' experience, particularly in terms of orchestration of flavours and textures between courses.
The location is impeccable, offering a direct view of the Brandenburg Gate. I guess that a significant portion of the price I paid was for the view rather than the food itself, though.
Overall, despite the high quality of the food, considering the price and the reputation, I was anticipating a more harmonious dining experience that delights the palate with a cohesive story through its dishes.

Incredible meal on New Year’s Eve. All the staff very knowledgeable about the (many!) beautiful unusual wines served with each course. It was all fabulous.

Unforgotten experience I’ve had in Lorenzo Adlon. Atmosphere was amazing and also all staff were friendly and knowledgeable about each meal. I absolutely try it next time

This was a fantastic dining experience that I would highly recommend. The food was a taste explosion, so good that I don’t have photos of the first 2 courses as they were too delicious. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable, and down to earth. The fact that it was on top of an iconic historic landmark tops off the experience.

We had the most delicious breakfast here to celebrate my daughter’s 18th birthday. Yes, it’s expensive, but it’s a great experience with good quality ingredients, friendly service and good views of the city. The portions are also a decent size, and we felt it was good value for money for a special occasion.
Afterwards, you can get an audio headset and tour the dome of the Reichstag, would recommend.

Käfer has been our go-to spot for years whenever we’re in Berlin, and it never disappoints. Starting the day here with breakfast has become a tradition – it feels like the perfect way to set the tone for exploring the city. The breakfasts are truly bountiful – plenty of fresh, delicious options that make it impossible to leave hungry. From beautifully arranged platters to warm pastries and perfectly brewed coffee, every detail feels thoughtful.
It’s worth noting that reservations are essential. This place is no secret, and for good reason. The atmosphere, the view, and the food all combine for an experience that keeps us coming back trip after trip. Käfer feels like Berlin to us – generous, lively, and always memorable.

If you are booked for dinner I would recommend you arrive 30 minutes early. This gives you time to get through security and then to explore the roof terrace and glass dome with amazing views over Berlin. After 9pm the glass dome is shut to visitors so only restaurant guests have access. We had the whole of the glass dome to ourselves at the end of our meal.
The restaurant service was very professional but personable.
Food was very good, you can mix and match dishes from the standard or vegetarian set menus.
A great experience.
Buck - 6 months ago
Restaurant reservations provide access to the Reichstag Building, including the glass dome! There is a 20euro per person deposit/hold at the time of reserving in case you don’t show up.
Our group was late to make visit reservations for the dome itself, which is free, so we opted for an Aperitif afternoon at the rooftop restaurant. Reservations are required online with the names/birthday of all attendees as indicated on their passport.
Food was beautifully presented. Decent for the price we paid but really the best part was the atmosphere. It was particularly nice to sit indoors in a warm place and enjoy the view. The glass dome is only partially enclosed, still open air, and not heated.
Highly recommend the restaurant to bypass the lines as well.

India club authentic Indian food in the heart of Berlin. We were a group of 6 ladies spent 600 Euros and tried most of dishes.
If you don't fancy spicy food then you should avoid this gorgeous place. Cocktails are delicious, service was friendly and dessert was tasty. Thank you.
Farnaz Alaei - 3 weeks ago
Really elegant ambience and the food was as very good. Rara mutton and panner Tikka on pineapple were excellent. Wine list is wonderful. However, the service was bad. We sat there with dirty plates on our table for 15min before someone noticed and cleared the table and brought us dessert menu's. The desserts were a miss, compared to the food.
The biggest reason I give it 3 stars is that the men's toilet was stinking. You had to hold your nose as you went in there. I thought there was something wrong when I went. But my son went there more than an hour later and he came back holding his nose. No one even noticed, is this the norm? Not something I would expect from any restaurant, let alone a restaurant claiming to be a high end one.
Somitra Saxena - in the last week
Easy table reservation online.
Warm welcome when we arrived a bit to early.
Mix of skilled and junior waiters made the experience somewhat flat at that point.
More important on the other hand, the food is great and very tasteful (not to spicy)
We enjoyed the evening and will return

I visited this Michelin Guide–recommended Indian restaurant with high expectations, but unfortunately it fell short. Perhaps it’s because I’m used to the exceptional standard of Indian cuisine in London, but the food here simply did not compare.
I don’t normally write negative reviews, but when you’re paying premium prices, it’s very frustrating to be served dishes that feel mediocre at best. Flavors lacked depth, and nothing really stood out as memorable.
For the cost, the experience was deeply underwhelming. Sadly, I cannot recommend this place — I left disappointed, and I’d advise others to save their money for somewhere that delivers on both quality and value.

Authentic Indian Fine Dining in the Heart of Berlin
India Club Berlin offers one of the most refined and authentic Indian dining experiences I’ve had in Europe. From the elegant ambiance and warm hospitality to the beautifully presented dishes, everything is clearly curated with care and attention to detail.
The menu focuses on North Indian cuisine, with rich, aromatic curries, perfectly grilled meats, and flavorful vegetarian options. I highly recommend the Butter Chicken and Dal Makhani—both were exceptional. The naan was soft and fresh, and the spice levels were perfectly balanced.
Service was professional and friendly, with staff happy to explain dishes and make recommendations. The setting is upscale but not pretentious, making it a great choice for both special occasions and an elevated dinner out.
Prices are on the higher side, but well worth it for the quality and experience.

Lovely place, the soup was really good €9. The service is brilliant, very friendly. The place itself has a really German feel, lovely to have a sit down and some drinks after a long morning of lots of walking. Food came out really fast, prices are reasonable and very cosy!

Service was great and the fastest. 5 minutes after ordering my Schweins Hax it was being served!
Schweins Hax the pork was really crispy and juicy. The sauerkraut that I'm normally not the biggest fan was cooked to perfection.
To finish the Apfelstrudel was cruncy, warm, as it shoukd be, perfect combination with the cold icecream.

Awesome authentic German dining experience.
Very nice, quaint, traditional place. From the decorations to the vibe of the building, everything screams old school dinner spot.
The wait staff was great. The prices were on par, and the food was all amazing.
The bier list was what you would expect, and did not disappoint.
Everything we had was phenomenal. Definitely a place to check out if you are looking for the classic dishes.
We had no wait for a table of two.

Wish we had read the reviews of this place. The vegetarian options we had selected were both closed (on a Sunday!) so we were stuck with Viale. Pizza was ordinary, dominoes is better - no herbs in the tomato sauce and very little veggies - peppers were cut in chunks. Broccoli was steamed! The waiter was civil but not pleasant. Regretted having to tip him at all.Take your money elsewhere. Why spend our money on bad food and service?! Never again!

I was visiting Berlin for some work and on my way to the airport. I was so (soo) hungry so I randomly entered this Italian restaurant for a random quick meal. Oh boy!
Very good food. Great service. Attentive waiters! Bless their heart so much and I wish them the best!
I’m typing this review while still seated at the restaurant. That’s how much I am thankful for this meal.
Thank you. 🫶🏾

Service was ok but the food is quite expensive for what it is; I assume it’s for tourists though which probably explains it. You’re better off finding other quality Italian food for less in the area!

We had a birthday celebration at China Club. Everything was impeccably prepared. Staff are extremely friendly and make sure that everyone enjoys their time.
Menu was already set, which was better than my last visit. Bar has a nice cosy ambience too.

I was there for an event. Great service and amazing hospitality from the Manager Paolo and his team at the 7th floor rooftop Italian
restaurant. Will highly recommend if you get a chance to visit as it’s an exclusive invite only venue.

The Wasabi prawns tempura are the highlight of the restaurant. Also the fried vanilla ice cream tastes so good! The cocktails are delicious as well. All the menu is Chinese and there is a variety to choose dishes for every taste. Recently, since December 2021, there has opened a brand new Italian restaurant called MEDINIS. it's very beautiful and tastefully decorated. The food must be fantastic! Members only place, unless you're their guest.

Service was serviceable, efficient. Great location, and reasonably priced - especially for such a touristic area.
Main problem is they clearly focused on lowering the cost of the ingredients instead of increasing prices, which fair enough - but every component of the currywurst mit pommes was just kind of meh - well prepared but meh.

Amazing Currywurst and Bratwurst, both with chips and sauces. There are some lovely benches to enjoy your food there or you can walk just a few more meters and sit down with a splendid view on the Brandenburger Tor.
Also it worths mentioning... Nice portions!
Manuel D'Urso - 2 years ago
The line was super long so we were sure about it is gonna worth it. And it was! The currywurst was delicious, and we drank hot wine next to it which was perfectly sweet!
We paid around 11€ per person.

To be honest it wasn't very good, the sauce seemed to be plastic, the sausage wasn't one of good quality either. I have eaten better currywurst for less.

Very good food, but we waited like one hour too get some bread at the table. The drinks took too long time. Very busy but only one or two waiters and too busy for them too fix it. Had big expectations for this but not fulfilled .

Extremely elegant restaurant in the heart of the Kempinski hotel. Ordered the lobster and scallop soup which was cooked to perfection. Also had scallops and prawns for mains. All was cooked perfectly and portions were generous. The truffle pasta was very rich and there was a generous amount of fresh grated truffle. Finally, ordered the crème brulée for dessert which was very good.
Overall, while on the pricier side, it's worth a visit while in Berlin. Service was very good throughout and elevated the experience.

Iconic location with a charming atmosphere. The hotel is beautifully decorated, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. However, while the food was decent, it didn't quite meet our expectations, and the coffee and soft drinks were below acceptable standards. Despite this, we appreciate the lovely ambiance and we would still recommend it as a nice place to unwind.

We came here spontaneously today. The man who served us was very, very nice. All three of the Berliners (doughnuts) were delicious. Personally, after buying three Berliners, I would rate the apple strudel as the best. Highly recommended.

We discovered Engelchen Ice Cream on Instagram. So, a visit was a must :) We assembled our own pancake. From the filling to the topping. Everything was super fresh and delicious. I think the price of €6 is more than reasonable and fair. The staff was very approachable and friendly. That made the visit very pleasant.
We were disappointed that there weren't many places to sit and enjoy the delicious doughnuts.
Maria Wipunkt - a month ago
The ice cream isn't worth the price. The taste wasn't great. The cones weren't tasty and most of them ended up in the trash. Ten scoops of ice cream (two of them with sprinkles) for €50. I initially thought it was a joke. Admittedly, the scoops were quite large, but they weren't worth €5. There's no shortage of good ice cream parlors in Friedrichstadt, all of which are significantly cheaper than Eis Engelchen and where the ice cream tastes better.

Thank You! - Vegetarians can also enjoy the Curry Wurst experience! (Vegan hotdog also available). You might have a short wait, but not long. Helpful service. Great that vegetarians can have fast food and enjoy this Berlin experience on Unter den Linden. Plenty outdoor space to eat & clean tables, some to stand at, a few seats.

Expect a queue since this stand is by the Tor. You will get yelled at if you change your order while ordering. I just stayed calm and wursted on....Allergic to curry? Detest processed meat? This food stand is not for you....but are you hungry? No other quick food sources are around the gate. Choices are limited... currywurst or curry 🍛 beef. With fries or without. Fries are processed fries. Not expensive, and the cold soda pop options are refreshing on a sunny clear June day. Berlin Bear artwork is a Curry Wolf advertisement.
T Cloonan - 5 months ago
It's located right in front of the Brandenburg Tor, therefore you can sit down having your currywurst facing the gate. Food is ok, not much difference from the currywurst of other shops. If going there in winter, it's a good idea that order a glass of Glühwein as the area could be windy and chilly.
