Domäne Dahlem is a wonderful place for both adults and children. There’s so much to see, from old tractors and traditional farming equipment to barns and greenhouses, cultivated crops like cabbage, and animals such as sheep, horses, and chickens. So animals in Berlin.
There are also small organic stands and a kind of little market area, although it’s not exactly cheap. There’s a restaurant on site as well, which we didn’t visit this time. The buildings themselves are beautiful, and I remember attending a Christmas market here many years ago that I absolutely loved. There were small studios with local artists exhibiting their work, and there’s also a museum on the grounds.
If you’re already in the area, it’s definitely worth stopping by. Near the restaurant and the tennis courts, there’s a small feed dispenser where you can buy animal feed for 50 cents, definitely a highlight for the kids and farm and nature lover at the moment its still a little muddy so bring good shoes;)

One of the very well maintained Bauernhöfe in Berlin, you miss the "family business " spirit that you find in other smaller Bauernhöfe though. Animals are well kept and you can feed some of them with a small dose you can get from a machine. Plantations are named so the kids can relate the plantation with the food. The location is the best, it's 3 min away from restaurants, metro station, and normal streets

We went for the Kartoffel fest. It was a fun experience harvesting the potatoes yourself. There were also a lot of stalls selling handmade things, fresh produce and meats.

Loved the Christmas market with curated stalls with a focus on handmade, local and/or organic products. A very nice small selection of foods, I v much enjoyed the Bio-Bratwurst. My faves are the artisan food producers. The farm shop is also open. Plus, the museums are open too and they’re included in the ticket price. Great fun!

Went there on a weekday evening when the place was closed around 6:30 pm. Still was able to take a walk around the green fields and relax a bit under the trees. Great place to spend some time in nature. Also good if you want to take your kids for some animal watching when it’s open

Amazing find! Cost ambience, great set lunch and awesome service. I'll come again!

Food is average,, 3 stars is already too much for it. Basically boiled potatoes, boiled Spargel, Rührei , and hollandaise sauce for 26€ . No creativity whatsoever.
Service is good and fast. Problem with card payment because their system was too slow. Wi-Fi didn't work either, therefore 4 stars.
The atmosphere looks good. 4 stars for that.
Overall 4 stars

Went with a VERY large group staying at the nearby Seminaris hotel (about 100 total). I didn't think it was possible, but they did a nice job keeping up with our very large group, keeping drinks coming and food delivered quickly. I was very surprised! We didn't get to pick from the full menu, but the schnitzel was good!

Surprising find. Friendly service. Very down to earth German "Kneipe" but nice tablecloths, super soups and hope to come back for good sounding/looking food and beergarden in summer
Update: came back but food was a bit disappointing. Rindsroulade (a classic) at 28€ had soggy cabbage & potatoes, with hard meat (clue: added knife) but sauce was great. Apple cake looked better than it tasted. Beers were so-so

Friendly service, wide variety, and prices that aren't bad considering the quality. I ordered the goat burger; the portion was both filling and the meat was perfectly cooked and flavorful. I loved the sweet potato fries and sauces. The caramel popcorn in the burger, while a bit strange, added a very nice flavor. The cheese tasted good, but the buns could have been heated or smoked; they were a bit too standard. The lemonade definitely had a homemade flavor; there was no sweetener, so keep that in mind when ordering. I liked it. Overall, it was a very good experience.

Well… in comparison to Berlin‘s notorious sexy-ass vegan burgers you get a bit further in town, their vegan burgers (with no cheese smh) look and taste quite pathetic tbh. But at least they try, got a nice terrace and play Bruce Springsteen.

Excellent burgers and friendly staff. Every time, without fail. I'm a regular. I'll try different burgers and extend the review with my opinion on them.
Burger: I usually go for this. A great, juicy patty with some salad and a lightly toasted bun. The meat is really the star of the show, it's well a balanced burger.
Chilly-cheese burger: burger with cheddar cheese and jalapenos. The cheese does not make a big difference in my opinion, the jalapenos on the other hand make it slightly hot. It's a great burger.
Goat-burger: burger with goat cheese and almonds. The goat cheese is creamy and tastes great, the almonds are crunchy and caramelized. I wasn't the fan of the pockets of sweetness added by the almonds, although it is certainly interesting. The cheese had a pleasant taste, but I felt like the extra flavour is fighting with the patty. It's interesting, but the regular burger is still my go-to.

I used the place for just a to go coffee, it was all nice other that I didn't get a holder for more than four coffees, maybe it was just because we were three people and could carry the coffee in hand somehow, but it would be a lot better if the optionwas there/named. Nice atmosphere and delicious coffee btw :)
(Hii, danke für das reply, aber wir haben damals auch keine 4er Becherhalter bekommen soweit ich weiß ;).)

I come here everyday for daily dose of cappuccino and my favorite homemade butter cookies with jam before uni classes. Though the place is very crowded, it doesn’t make it worse, and you still can find a place to sit. I enjoy sitting on terrace which is very beautiful especially in autumn.
The staff is extremely friendly and understanding, even though at first I struggled with my German.
Sometimes you have to be a bit patient and wait for your order, but I think it’s understandable when there are so many visitors.

This is the café I visited most often near my Uni. It’s a great place to work on my laptop or study, and they serve tasty bagels in the morning for a quick bite. The prices are a little on the expensive side, but the staff are always friendly, even when the café is constantly busy.

A great Cafe, with freandy staff, nice location near to FU, and descent coffee. And the best cappuccino in Dahlem; triple shot is also an option!
The pastries are always fresh, specifically the croissants and cookies with marmalade!

I truly enjoyed my business lunch at this Italian restaurant. Staff are very friendly and efficient without having to ask several things.
Grilled sea bream was very delicious. Antipasti for 2 people came in a huge portion which was more than enough for 3 people.
Would surely come back again

The pizza was totally fine and tasty. The place is understaffed and one server had to attend to everyone. It took very long in the end to pay.

I started stopping by Back Baron almost by accident—just needed a quick coffee before catching the U-Bahn at Dahlem Dorf. That turned into a routine.
The coffee is consistently good, the kind that wakes you up without tasting burnt, and the pastries actually feel fresh, not like they’ve been waiting all morning. What surprised me recently is how much they’ve expanded the menu. I tried their pizza slice one afternoon and ended up coming back another day for pasta and a salad—simple, well done, and clearly prepared with care rather than rushed assembly.
Even during busy hours, the service stays friendly and efficient, which matters when you’re on the clock. It’s the kind of place that quietly becomes part of your day without trying too hard.
Reliable stop for coffee, food, and a calm start to the morning.
Majed Bd. - 4 months ago
Disorganized service in the morning. My coffee was given to the next customer even though I ordered first, which caused a delay and almost made me miss my bus. Also, no proper lid was available for a takeaway coffee.
Mahdis Rahimi - 4 months ago
I used to get great coffee here and the bakery goods were decent as well. The staff has however changed recently and is unfortunately not as attentive and friendly anymore.
Also they have now brought in a new coffee machine aside from the good Italian style espresso machine. The coffee from the "new machine" tastes like water and has zero strength. I understand that making coffee from the espresso machine takes longer but please return to this one and don't charge customers the same price for these very different quality coffees. The full automatic machine coffee is very much not worth the price that is charged.
Hoping things will go back to how it used to be :)

Delicious food and a big selection of vegetarian and vegan meals. The service is good and staff is friendly.
But it can get very crowded and noisy sometimes. Food and drinks are pricey.

I finally had the chance to try this little Imbiss, and I'll not do it again. The soup was basically a bowl mit hot water, some oil, floating pieces of tofu and overcooked rice noodles. I can do it better myself.
